We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
Becca was fantastic - we cannot say enough about how great she is as a pet and house sitter and as a human being! Becca committed to the sit 8 months in advance and was great with her responsiveness in communication during the long lead up to the sit. She arrived early and got the low downs on the animals and house stuff prior to us leaving. She woke up crazy early to help us get to the airport and picked us up when we returned, which made the traveling so much easier on our end. She left the house spot-less (and this is no exaggeration), with the linens cleaned, and a wonderful meal waiting for us upon our return. She is an absolute gem of a person with a great sense of humor and a kind and compassionate nature, and she really enjoys the animals in her care. Our dog and cat were very well cared for and totally at ease upon our return. If you are lucky enough to have Becca sit for you, you will be very pleased at how well she does the job!
Amanda is truly our trusted sitter "find"! She comes back regularly, so much so that our kitties think she is their secondary owner! Always reliable, clean, responsible and most of all loves our cats as much as we do! Good communicator, self reliant - all in all a perfect "10"!
Nathalie and John were great! They were great house sitters to watch our two dogs, 2 geckos, our old cat and bull frog. Their two girls took good care of the animals as well. The house was exactly how we left it. We really appreciated their help!
We knew that we would have a good experience with Carole & Ron from the moment we first had a video chat with them. They are very experienced house sitters and it showed in the questions they asked about our cats and our home. We were so fascinated by them that we invited them to arrive a day early so that we could all go out for lunch and then dinner to hear about their travel stories and share a few of our own. When we left, we felt very confident in our choice and took off on our trip with confidence that our dear kitties would be well cared for. We were not disappointed as Carole & Ron sent us photos and an update the very next day to let us know that all was well. During the next two weeks, we never had a moment of concern and fully enjoyed our vacation knowing that these seasoned sitters were both looking after our place and also enjoying themselves exploring our wonderful city of Philadelphia. We came home to two very happy cats, a clean house, and even a full bowl of fresh fruit on our kitchen counter. We would absolutely have Carole & Ron sit for us again and we wish them the very best of fun and exploration in their future adventures!
Paige, David, and family were WONDERFUL sitters for my crew! They were so pleasant and personable, and the pets warmed up to them very quickly. Even my rescue cat who tends to stray away from men loved David. I received regular updates and communication (before and during the sit). I truly did not have any concerns while I was away knowing that everyone had such great care and attention given to them. (I know the dogs had a good time because when I came home there was no commotion over my return.) I was away on NYE and Paige had no issues keeping an eye on one of the dogs who has anxiety surrounding loud noises. The family cleaned up after themselves and may have left the house cleaner than when I left! Truly such a great family who I would welcome back any time!
Kimberly was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn't have had a better sitter for our first experience with zeewoi. Marshmallow loved Kimberly instantly and our cats (who can be a little standoffish) opened up right away with her. She asked great questions that helped us tailor our Welcome Guide to make sure we could be good hosts. Thank you, Kimberly!
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Chris was a fantastic cat sitter for our elderly and high maintenance kitty. Chris was the perfect combination of responsible and on top of her medication needs while also being calm and relaxed about her picky eating habits and the need to monitor her food and medication consumption. He was prompt, easy to get a hold of, responsible, and overall, a great sitter. I would definitely recommend him and most certainly hope to have him stay with her again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $17/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Equinox Pet Care is fantastic. Our dog loves her walks with Morgan. Morgan provides great updates (and pictures), is organized and prompt. I know our dog is in great hands with him.
Morgan is great and my dogs love him! He took the girls for a nice little walk. They are both 14 yrs old and one is nearly blind and deaf and they loved the walk! Morgan sent pictures so I knew they were happy! I won’t worry about leaving them for a long day home again!!
Morgan is so amazing with my senior rescue girl, Bambi!! She loves him so much and he always bends over backwards to accommodate. He has even helped me out in several emergencies. Bambi even got a lovely bag of treats for Christmas. Amazing, trustworthy pet sitter!!
Our OES took an IMMEDIATE SHINE to Morgan / owner of this professional and reliable dog walk service . Scheduling and fees all streamlined and easy to work with, with Equinox Pet Care we don’t have to worry about anything. Thx!
I highly recommend Equinox Pet Care! Morgan is the best! He is reliable, professional, and takes such good care the animals who have been entrusted to his care.
We're so grateful to have Morgan come daily for our 2yr old dog & 15wk old puppy. Our two dogs can be pretty wild together and require careful supervision; Morgan's expertise regarding dog behavior has been so reassuring! Our dogs are safe and happy every day when I come home from work. Morgan also does our puppy's daily feedings, and is great about sticking to our household routines/ training. He sends us so many lovely pictures, and we also get to watch updates on EPC social media. If the future, we would not hesitate to use EPC for overnight/ special visits. Morgan and I connected in a last-minute/ emergency situation wherein we needed a new dog walker ASAP, and he responded immediately! Has been wonderful ever since. Would highly recommend Morgan/ Equinox Pet Care!
Morgan took great care of our pup while we skiied near Manchester. He was super flexible with scheduling and very responsive (even during the week he had a baby, unbelievably!) our dog was happy and tired :)
Equinox pet care did a great job with our two dogs! He took them hiking, was always on time, and sent photo updates each visit. They get so excited whenever he comes over to pick them up. Highly recommend!
Morgan is the best. Calm cheerful reliable .. he is all the good things. Our dogs and kitty all love him. So do we! Hikes treats overnights … he does it all. I give him my highest recommendation.
My dogs are so lucky to have Equinox Pet Care! They are always responsible and reliable! I highly recommend them!
Thank you so so much for all the kind words. Don't know what we would have done without you for so many years. Hector's favorite days were Tuesday and Thursday when he got to go to "camp" All we had to say is time for camp and he got so excited to go to Wagmore. When he got to Wagmore he would just jump out of the car. Even with bad hips!!! He loved his vacations there. Sometime when I would pick him up he would go back to Damien. He loved him so much. He loved all of you. And so do I! Wagmore has been so wonderful to Hector over the years. We will miss the wonderful staff on drop off days. They are so great! I am so sorry that Hector passed in his sleep at your place. I can't think of another place he loved so much. It made us feel so much better knowing he was taken care off so kindly and professionally by you. We will NEVER forget that. Nancy and Amos Brown Jamaica, VT
We have had nothing but good experiences with Wagmore Kennels. We bring our rather active Lab to daycare every week. She always comes home exhausted and happy! You can really tell that the people at Wagmore genuinely care about the pups as they get to know each one personally. We never worry about leaving our dog in their care.
My 2 Sheepadoodles had a great time and were very happy! They did daycare during the day and were boarded overnight for 8 nights. I will definitely leave them there again when I go away.
Cassie and Sam and all of the staff at Wagmore take loving care of my dog, whether he attends day camp or boards overnight. Wagmore is bright and airy and my pup is happy and calm when he comes home to me. Highly recommend.
We love this kennel when we're in Vermont. It's very convenient to Stratton and Manchester and our golden loves going to daycare at Wagmore while we ski. The owners are a really nice young couple who go out of their way to accommodate your schedule and make sure your dog is happy and comfortable.
We were so happy with Wagmore and all of the great people taking care of our dogs! Our terrier can be a bit of a handful, but Rachel and her staff welcomed him and both our dogs just had a great time!! Thanks Wagmore (^.^)
I brought my timid dog for daycare. There were no attempts to win over his trust with treat or toys. They just grabbed his leash and tried pulling him toward the kennel. When this didn’t work a different employee came over and said, “your not going to like me” and grabbed him by his harness and attempted to drag him. No surprise that these two techniques didn’t work. I gave two stars because the kennel itself looked nice but the employees have no idea how to deal with timid dogs. Edit in response to owner. Our dog wasn't frightened until they started to pull him by the lead. How would giving him treat in the entrance without any other dogs around lead to resource guarding? Our dog absolutely loves other dogs and is very well socialized with dogs. The problem was not with dogs is was how the employees failed to gain any trust with the dog before dragging him on lead. I would highly recommend professional training for your staff. Edit in response to the owners edit. You obviously were not there. We didn't help ourself to treats in the front office. Your staff of teenagers absolutely draged and forced our pup with no attempt to gain trust. I'm also sorry we brought our pup to your establishment. Satisfy owners needs? We don't need daycare, never had needed it. We just wanted to get him comfortable with boarding. He is house trained, has a 16 acre farm to explore, and always comes with us on trips. Don't worry though, if we ever do need to board him we found the perfect match at The Barn at Off The Hook Kennels. They took the few minutes to gain his trust. It's crazy how people who know how to work with dogs can easily gain the trust of unsure pups.
I trust Wagmore with my furry daughter, Penny, 100%! When I first adopted her, she was a wild seven-month-old puppy, and bringing her to daycare twice a week was a blessing - she would leave and be (a good, healthy) exhausted for 48 hours! I've also boarded Penny overnight multiple times. I love when they post pictures of her on their Facebook account, and I know she's in good hands. They have been so responsive and accommodating when my schedule has changed last minute.
Very friendly staff who care about the dogs in their care. Our dog loves it so much that we now have to spell Wagmore rather than say the word as he gets too excited if we say the word. The kennel is very clean with safety a big priority. Our experience there has been GREAT.
We love Wagmore. Our dog always enjoys herself and comes home happy as can be. They are always professional and I feel very comfortable bringing my dog there. Highly recommend.
Great place for pets; our dog comes back very happy every time. We joke that she likes us pretty well, but loves her friends at Pawnal Pets. Really lovely staff. Highly recommended!
My dog and I used to love Pawnal Pets. I didn't have my own car, and had to rely on other people for rides for a year. Other people let me down. I called twice the same day to cancel two grooming appointments. They will no longer accept my dog for grooming or boarding, even now that I have my own car.
They seem like very nice young people with a very nice business and a good attitude. I feel confident my pet will be well taken care of.
Pawnal Pets is a great place! My three dogs have stayed several times and are happy while there. I love that they have "play" time and can socialize. Now they offer grooming so the dogs come home clean, groomed and happy. I highly recommend Pawnal Pets!
Tammy was helpful and knowledgeable about their operations. Suites are big enough for two 100lbs dogs Fair prices. Clean and well maintenance. Seems safe, but this is our first visit.
Pawnal pets have been an amazing find for us and our 3 dogs and 2 cats. They are always so accommodating and I just love the picture updates of our guys having so much fun. Highly recommend them!
After a week away I came back to two very happy cats! They had an entire room to climb and play in, I was very impressed with the facilities. I highly recommend Pawnal Pets, and will definitely return in the future.
Ashley did a great job with our 14 year old cockapoo, Cinnamon. His cut was great and he seemed to enjoy his time with her.
An absolutely wonderful place to board your pets while away. Our kitties love coming here for their vacations while we take ours & the prices are more than fair.
Had a trip to Europe planned and my traveling companion had made a reservation for her dog to stay here for the week. Owner insisted she did NOT need to meet the dog in advance even though my friend told her he was a rescue and was still working out behaviors. Brought dog to drop off with less than an hour to spare to make our plane to England and owner refused dog. Less than ideal accommodations had to be made for his care with her refusal to meet him in advance.
