Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!
It was my first time using zeewoi so I was slightly apprehensive, but as soon as I heard from Kendra I knew both my cat and my apartment would be in safe hands. Kendra was great with communicating and coming back quickly, very friendly and clearly experienced with sitter jobs. Whilst staying at my place she sent me regular updates. Once I returned home the flat was spotless. I would highly recommend Kendra and I would certainly use her again. She’s great!
This was our first time using zeewoi and we were a little apprehensive, especially as we were going away for almost 5 weeks, but we really didn’t need to be. Mary and Kevin were fantastic from the start. They had excellent communication and put us at ease straight away. They looked after both our cats with lots of care and we came home to two very happy and content kitties. Mary and Kevin struck the balance just right whilst we were away by keeping us informed of how the cats were and sending pictures of what the cats were up to every couple of days. It was so lovely to know that the cats were enjoying themselves and being so well looked after whilst we were away. Mary and Kevin also looked after our house extremely well and we came back to a very clean and tidy home. We would definitely recommend Mary and Kevin to anyone needing a house sitter and would love for them to sit for us again if they were ever back in the area.
Kristi was an absolutely incredible sitter -- I think our favorite one ever! She was easy to communicate with, kind and personable, and took great care of our pets and our house. It was the first time we had left both our dog and our cat with a TH sitter and Kristi went above and beyond. She was very self-sufficient but provided fun updates and pictures and our pets loved her. Highly recommend!
Cung is a diligent and communicative cat sitter and house guest, and we'd highly recommend him! We hope to have him back again soon
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
Catherine was a wonderful sitter for our 17 year old cat Zabba. She sent us pictures twice a day and kept us informed about Zabba’s daily activities. We came home to a clean home and would definitely recommend her as a pet/ house sitter. My only concern was that she doesn’t drive and with an older cat, I just prayed that Zabba didn’t need to go to the vet…. And he didn’t 🥰. We will ask her again for sure.
We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.
Danny and Jo did a great job caring for our 3 cats and fish AND lots of plants (and home of course) while we were out of town for 3 weeks. We came back to a very clean house, sheets, and towels all clean and folded and fresh sheets on the bed they were using. The plants were all alive too, which is a first for us (again, we have a lot of plants!). The cats were happy to see us and they were all accounted for (a past sitter lost a cat for a week - they escaped outside as a non-outside cat). Everything was in its place and looked great. We received regular updates (via text) with photos of the cats lounging about which was important for us. Danny asked good questions when they visited us before the sit, and when reviewing our pet/house sitting instructions. The only thing we noticed that was different was that our 2 young cats were a little lighter (not necessarily a bad thing) but we understand that being gone for that length of time can be stressful on our furry family, which almost always affects their eating habits. All in all, we would definitely have them again!
Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away. It is wonderful that she enjoys the house and the cats so much and tells us so. Kristine comes with our highest recommendation! Thank you Kristine!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $21/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
I had a 10 month old Pug puppy with housebreaking issues. I boarded Gracie with Dreamdogs for 7 days and she learned proper habits. However, as the owner I fell short of not following through with the training, even though the staff instructed me what to do when i picked her up. I returned her for a 3-day follow up because of my failure to follow instructions, and she is well on her way of letting me know when she needs to go outside. As a result of where I live, no pet owner can leave their pet because of coyotes that roam the area. The key to success is owner follow up. Dearmdogs did an excellent job.
This place meets the needs of every individual. I am handicap and first thing the trainer did was to make accommodations for my handicap which allowed me to work with my dog as a partner. The trainer worked closely with us to assure that every issue we had was worked on. Everyone who knows us has asked where we are attending classes as they have noticed a significant difference in my puppy. We will continue classes at Dream Dogs to further develop her skills.
Lori has been helping us with our reactive rescue dog. She gave us so many tips and tricks to help us. Our pup is doing so much better, and we can’t wait to sign up for some group classes once Merrell is able to do that. I always recommend Dream Dogs to everyone I know!
I have been taking my dogs to Lori at Dream Dogs since 1999 when we brought our new six-month-old Golden Retrievers to her to train. Many dogs later, we are taking our Golden Retriever and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever to classes and doggy daycare. We even did Zoom classes with Lori during Covid. Our dogs have all had different needs and temperaments. Thankfully, Lori always has a solution. Dream Dogs is on my speed dial.
We’ve been using Dream Dogs for training and day care since our dog was a puppy and it’s the absolute best! We began with the Puppy class and learned lots of helpful tips. Lori and the other trainers are so knowledgeable, consistent and caring-as well as fun! We did some day training to help us with a few specific behaviors such as counter surfing and it was highly effective. Our dog LOVES going to daycare and we have found it to be a life saver since we are seniors and our dog is extremely active. We’ve also really enjoyed Barn Hunt classes as well as Agility classes. Lori’s (and other staff’s) organizational skills, consistency, dedication to animals, concerns for safety, combined with a loving and fun attitude make Dream Dogs our dream come true for surviving life with an adorable but wildly active Field Spaniel! Much appreciation goes out to the team.
We attended basic obedience classes at Dream Dogs when our dog was young and the following year signed up for additional one-on-one advanced training with Lori. Both were great experiences and our dog loved the “work”. Very positive experience and I highly recommend them. This is a photo of our pup playing a fun “sit-stay” game in group class.
Lori knows EVERYTHING about dogs and her team is incredibly good with our little pup. There's multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for the pack to run around, and the attention each dog receives is unique. Highly recommended for training, boarding or daycare.
Dream Dogs is a great school. I love the classes offered in Woof Pak. All of the trainers I have worked with are AMAZING! They make training my puppy so much easier. Thank you Dream Dogs for your professionalism and your dedication to the training of canines.
Amazing training & variety, Services, Grooming... 'Puppy school' graduates (...a rescued litter from May'24) All in happy adventure homes :)
Five stars is all I can give but honestly, we would probably give more if possible. We have two puppies, Bodie & Winslow. We were excited to learn about the WOOF PUP program for littles and immediately wrote to Lori to ask questions. Turned out to be the best choice ever. Woof PUP is just for Puppies under 5 months and is a 6 week program with Puppy Obedience taught once a week, Puppy Socialization & even a day care option if you choice to participate included. This was the best investment in these two little rascals and huge part of their well-behaved, growing personalities now. The program is all about learning to communicate with your puppy and learning the basics in the AKC Puppy Stars program: sit, down, stay, loose-leash walking, and coming when called. We discussed behavioral issues that may come up and how to address them. We got a potty training and digging log to observe how puppy was doing and to help course correct. We discussed a plan of action to redirect when bad choices are made by puppy haha. And there was critical socializing time with other appropriate level vaccinated puppies in a safe, controlled environment. At the end of every class, puppies got to go out to the fun daycare play area with their humans and Dream Dogs Trainers who helped guide puppies if they got too rough and directed humans on dog behaviors or answered questions. Super helpful even for people that considered ourselves good dog trainers. The location is so easy to get to in Bermuda Dunes, right off the 10. The "farm" as we call it, is AWESOME! There are chickens, Pigs, a Boar I think, cats, goats and I believe sheep. I'm sure there is more but haven't seen them. The great thing about going here is the exposure to strange sounds, smells and creatures. The play areas are in close proximity to those animals and it really is a great opportunity for your dog to learn more about the world. We show one of our puppies and I do believe the unusual noises, sounds, smells and places there at Dream Dogs contributed to his being calm, cool and collected at an AKC show. There are specialty classes you can attend like many levels of Agility, Barnhunt practice, Canine Adventure, Rally, Obedience, classes. All of which we are super excited about attending. Problems can be addressed individually for private training or even in home training. There are senior dog classes and more. Check out their website and be prepared to sign up! We can't wait to get these two back in for the next program which is WOOF PACK so we can work towards our Canine Good Citizen and then participate in the specialty classes. Call or email Dream Dogs if you need more info. Heck you can reach out to me if you need more info. We are pretty pro- Dream Dogs around here.
Mini had her 1st boarding experience in her 13 years. She was treated like the princess she is with her own room, plenty of other small dogs to visit with the windowed roo off the lobby. She was groomed ($60) and a very happy girl when
Biggie loves The Grand Paw. He comes weekly for daycare and most recently was boarded for over 2 weeks. The staff know him by name and always greet him with excitement. He comes home exhausted from playing with his friends and always looks forward to returning. Thank you to all the staff for all you do.
Our Sasha loves it here and I feel comfortable sending her. They make sure every dog’s vaccines are up to date, even if coming in for grooming only. They also do a temperament test with the new dogs to test how they behave with others. We have been so happy with the level of detail and care.
Pandemic Up Date-The Grand Paw is doing a pretty good job as they work through the issues associated with the COVID Pandemic. They now pick up you dog from the car, you do not go inside at all. They bring your pet out to you in the evening, so it is more-or-less touchless. They also have both masks and sanitizer out in the parking area so that you can sanitize if you like. Good job. But I miss the little shop and talking to the folks while waiting for our dog, Bailey to drag out the poor lad that has to tear him away from his play date. This is the doggy daycare and boarding place in the East Coachella Valley. It has nice facilities and reasonably good hours. They are not real flexible on times and policies. Not a deal as far as pricing goes but seem to take reasonable care of the pets. They have a little pet gift shop, mostly dog oriented full of overpriced things you can’t live without. The grooming function is not the best or least expensive. Ask about purchasing multiple use packages. Tuesday and Thursday they have pool time for Fido if your dog is so inclined. Separate small and large dog areas. They charge $25 bucks to qualify your dog’s behavior before you can bring him. Have all your shot information ready.
Our dog spent 5 days a this facility and he was bitten, wounds open when we picked him up. We were not told, until we contacted the facility, and replied with a typical template to respond to a complaint. Until today not a curtesy response. Disappointed, and furious, above all the rate charged, you will think your pet will be taken care of.
What a wonderful staff. I feel so comfortable and trust them to babysit my four legged family member. When leaving pets behind when circumstances require a helping hand - This is the place!
Brian, Ricky, and the rest of the staff are amazing. My wife and I have a 20 year relationship with this business and Brian and Ricky. We can’t say enough good things about the customer service and how they treat our pups. I wish I could give them 10 stars
Great Facility! We went in a week prior to our pup staying there for a tour and a temperament test, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. When we dropped our pup off for her stay she was excited to be there again. She was happy when we picked her up and quickly fell asleep when we got home. The grand paw is reasonably priced and I highly recommend! Thank you Grand paw for taking care of Cocoa!
I was so happy with The Grand Paw and so were my two kittys. They had a comfy room with plenty of time to play and lounge in. Also they posted pictures of my babies for me to see so I could know 5hey were doing well as I missed them. I will definitely board with them again when I need to in the future.
If you have large dogs this is THE place. Our dogs are bigger and they absolutely love it here. There is plenty of space for them to run around. Any staff we’ve ever encountered is always so friendly and seems to truly love being around dogs! It definitely seems like our dogs’ happy place. Our dogs have never been sick after a boarding and they always come home clean and EXHAUSTED! It is worth every penny. We also love just dropping them off for a play day. Swim days are also awesome. They have an in the ground pool and one of our dogs absolutely loves it!
