It was my first time using zeewoi so I was slightly apprehensive, but as soon as I heard from Kendra I knew both my cat and my apartment would be in safe hands. Kendra was great with communicating and coming back quickly, very friendly and clearly experienced with sitter jobs. Whilst staying at my place she sent me regular updates. Once I returned home the flat was spotless. I would highly recommend Kendra and I would certainly use her again. She’s great!
Julia was an amazing sitter and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From our first contact to when we arrived home after our trip, communication was excellent and we were able to enjoy our time away with complete peace of mind that our pets and our home were in good hands. We particularly appreciated how clean and tidy everything was when we got home with the linens and towels all washed and dried! Our cats clearly didn't miss us a bit - they were relaxed, their coats brushed and were giving us side-eye "oh, so, back to normal then? " looks as we unpacked. Thanks for everything Julia!
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
I highly recommend Daniel as a pet sitter and house sitter! He took care of Pipa for over three months this winter and did an outstanding job. From the first day, it was clear that he had a genuine love for animals and a great deal of experience with pets. He was very attentive to his needs and always made sure he was comfortable, well-fed, and had plenty of playtime. In addition to his pet-sitting duties, Daniel also went above and beyond by processing my postal mail and keeping the house well-organized. He was very responsible and reliable, always arriving on communicating, putting the bins out, and watering the plants on time, and keeping me updated with photos and messages. I felt completely at ease knowing that my cat was in such good hands and that my home was well-cared for while I was away. When I returned from my trip, Pipa was happy, healthy, and well-adjusted, thanks to Daniel's excellent care. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet and house sitter!
Kathryn was such nice and kind sitter that both of my boyfriend and me were grateful to have, including my cats!! My cats seemed having great time with her, being around her, chilling on couch with her, or even sitting on her. I got several photos of my cats from her with whort updates. I’m thankful that she let me do facetimes with her when I missed my cats. The house was clean and tidy when we came back. I definately will ask her again to sit my cats and house when I need. Thank you Kathryn!!:)
Karen was able to step in a sit for me on short notice after another sitter canceled. She was very thorough and communicative and I felt I had left my apartment and cats in good hands with her. I came home to a clean apartment and happy cats. I definitely recommend Karen as a sitter.
Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. She even pulled a large broken tree branch off my roof following a windstorm. I hope Heidi is available for my next trip because she is awesome. Jim
My husband and I reached out to Toby & Chloe after reading their profile and impressive reviews only a week before our trip, since our scheduled sitter had to cancel at the last moment. They were very friendly and quick to respond to chat from the very beginning, and ended up exceeding our expectations during their two week stay. It was evident they had thoroughly read our Welcome Guide beforehand, as they arrived knowledgeable and prepared to care for our home and pets. They were very willing and happy to take the necessary time with us to walk through the house and meet our cats, as we got them acclimated with our daily routines and answered any questions. Shortly after we left, our city had a heat wave come through, and after immediately notifying us, Toby went beyond the call of duty and inspected our struggling AC unit to pinpoint the issue. As far as cat care is concerned, we have two seniors (who have more sensitive tummies) that can get irritated after a fur ball or swallowing anything out of the ordinary. When this occurred, Toby & Chloe stepped in and took wonderful care of our cat duo; softening their food and even cradling while hand-feeding them for extra comfort. We truly could not have asked for more affectionate and responsible sitters. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, happy cats, and well maintained plants and pool. (They even cleaned our dusty Kitchen pendant lighting, which requires a steady hand and is definitely a time-commitment …We felt like professional housecleaners had been there!) On our way back, Toby & Chloe stayed in communication with us to monitor our arrival time, allowing them to care for our cats until just before we got home. Overall, they are very reliable and trustworthy sitters whose genuine goal is to provide a top-quality sit, while maintaining your household and seamlessly transitioning to your pets daily schedule.
Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your sit. She truly loves animals and taking care of your home. Highly recommended! Thanks Kristine!
Kristi was an exceptional house / pet sitter and we appreciate her being so flexible as were not sure how long our vacation was going to be. She was prompt, courteous, and even drove up the weekend before to meet with us. She took great care of our house and our dog snd cats loved her. I would highly recommended her.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $25 per visit, per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Highly recommend! Jennifer has been caring for my animals for years. They love being with Jen and they trust her. I know they are safe and well cared for. Thank you Jen!!🙏 …
Went there with my 5 month old mini golden doodle. For a visit and potential daycare . (new in town) .. made a play date, got a message owner was sick. Asked to let me know when she was feeling better. Nothing.. I’m assuming she did not want us as a client.. Which is fine.. it’s the un professional way she went about it.
Jennifer does fantastic work, highly recommend.
Brenda has been fantastic! I signed Denver up for pack walks as a way to socialize him in a structured way. He’s been five times now and the whole time Brenda has been really intentional about increasing his comfort level and making sure the interactions are positive. I’m very grateful for her friendly face and caring attitude with my pup! 🐕
Many thanks to Brenda and her team. It is clear they are devoted to the dogs in their care and have a high level of knowledge and expertise. Our dog has stayed with them for both short and long stays.
Monty enjoyed his stay. They were kind and understanding. They took him last minute and were very accommodating
Jay and Devon are great people who care for your pets. Pippa loves going to play with her friends.
Have been going for several years and have not had anything but excellent grooming for my dog Frodo. Update Just picked him up an hour ago and as usual he looks great. Always a good experience. Another awesome cut for my best friend ❤️
We had a great experience with Muskoka Spa for pets this past weekend. The owner Jason was very thorough with asking to see our dogs vaccine records and calling on his own time to get a background history of our dog. I was nervous using a doggie daycare as we had gone to another dog kennel a few years ago and our dogs where extremely stressed, and one had been injured. But Jason was very confident with our dog who is a recent rescued dog with separation anxiety and can climb fences. The fact that he wanted our dogs medical history and wanted to know our dog before we met, made me feel confident to trust Muskoka Spa for pets. The property was clean and beautiful. Jason also followed covid rules and had a great set up to accommodate that. Our dog was happy and not stressed at pick up. Our dog seemed to have a great day and like Jason. I totally recommend their services and when we are in the area again and need doggie daycare we will definitely go back to this business.
While waiting to get our dog brought in, we overheard that the dog ahead of us did not have an up to date kennel cough vaccination and they still accepted the dog. That wasn't a great sign to be honest, but we trusted that this was still a good place based on their reviews. However after our dog got home, we noticed she had a cough with bouts of hacking and gagging since visiting. She has been diagnosed with kennel cough. Unfortunately, now this is somewhere we can not visit again by principal of them letting the dog ahead of us go in without current vaccines and her getting sick.
So happy that the doggie day care was available for our pups. Owners were super helpful. The space was perfect for our curious beagle pups. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to roam and discover. Indoor A/C was welcome with the hot summer weather. Clearly loving pet people. We would highly recommend Muskoka Spaw for pets.
We love this place and use it exclusively for day care and boarding while we're away. I feel they take great care in looking after our dog, and are always forthcoming if they know they have had kennel cough or other sickness in their facility. My dog gets excited the moment we turn on to Muskoka Beach Road.
BEST DOG GROOMERS/DAYCARE IN MUSKOKA. 100% recommend, amazing family and amazing people. Very knowledgeable! Both of my dogs came home looking and smelling fresh and SOSO HAPPY. YOU GUYS ROCK, THANK YOU!
The team at Muskoka Spaw for Pets was accommodating for our two, one-year-old beagles. We were not local so we could not test out the daycare in advance. We were pleased to receive a summary of how the dogs were during the day. The spaw was able to take our dogs with little notice. Rates were certainly reasonable. We were not allowed into the facility due to COVID-19, but we know it's climate-controlled which was very welcomed for the hot days we used the services.
IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, GO WITH OPTION B… When we went to drop our little girl off...he immediately attempted to cancel on us with no notice (we had booked two weeks away one month prior and I had seen the "spa" owner multiple times over the month). His claim was that our dog has separation anxiety (he could somehow tell by how she came to the door from the car). That in itself would have been completely acceptable if he had been in any way professional about it. We don’t want to leave our little girl with anyone that thinks they can’t handle her, and he made it very obvious that he was not prepared or able to care for her. If we did HAVE to leave her there, he wanted information for multiple people he could call to pawn her off on. The problem was that his professionalism was grotesque. He started to raise his voice and bounce around. I had to tell him to calm himself and then told him to sit down. (He sat very oddly in the corner for the rest of the time we were there.) He was obnoxious and rude, never giving us eye contact, staring at the floor while sitting in the corner turning an interesting colour of red. What we learned then will be the number one reason we will never return. Apparently the dogs are kept in 4'x4' brick cells with metal doors (which explains our pup's bloody paws from the last visit). We also learned that they are caged up most of the day and night (roughly 18 hrs is what we were told). We were accused of being liars (VERBATIM) when we explained that we had been told that, if we made the request, it would be an option that our little girl could be put in the big room instead of the tiny cell at night. When he started raising his voice and vibrating again I told him, it was not worth arguing about (as there was no way we were leaving our little girl there anyway). We found an alternative on VERY short notice. After returning the food my wife had brought in to us in an exaggeratedly laborious manner, he struggled clumsily to bring our dog back out (I hope on purpose). He let her jump up on another lady that was picking up her dog then in an animated fashion gave me the lead (at which point our dog simply sat down). He then sarcastically belted out "GOOD LUCK WITH HER". It was very apparent then, that we made the right decision. He was not competent enough to even walk our dog, let alone be responsible for her. Truth is (apart from being disgusted by his behavior) I actually felt bad for the little guy. I imagine some of the dogs are WAY too big for him to handle. FTR: We were told our little girl whined for a day and a half (missing us), then settled in and enjoyed her stay while we were gone. I would think that to be a somewhat normal reaction... It is too bad, the other owner and their worker have always been very nice and easy to deal with.
Fantastic groomers. We brought our Keeshond, who has A LOT of fur and they did a fantastic job. Show quality. I highly recommend them. Thank you very much.
Ken was amazing with our dog, Major. Spent lots of time with him, gave lots of a treats, made sure he was taken care of. He also would regularly send photos and updates! I would definitely recommend!
Recently started using Kenny’s service for my pups. He is great with my pups they were comfortable with Kenny right away. Kenny has been reliable and genuinely cares for the pups. I completely recommend you try him out. You won’t be disappointed and your dog / dogs will love him.
We used Ken for 10 days to pop in and let our Lab out in the middle of the day. We couldn't have been more pleased with how professional and responsive Ken was. He sent us pics after each visit and updated us as to how our dog was doing. What's more, his lab huck came by to play, which was a huge added bonus. Thanks, Ken, for putting our minds at ease while we were away. We will definitely be using you again.
Ken is the best! Friendly, energetic, and very comfortable with pets.
Our dog, Skye, has been staying at Happy Tails since she was a puppy and we can't say enough good things about the care she receives there. It's truly camp for dogs, she has such a good time there as you can tell from the photos taken at Happy Tails and then after when she came home completely tired out from all her adventures! When we pull into the parking lot, she pops up and starts whining, she's so excited to be there and see all her doggy friends. We never worry when she's at Happy Tails, we always know that Skye will be well cared for and won't miss us while we are away. The facility is clean and so well cared for, and the wide open spaces for dogs to run and play are second to none. Thanks, Happy Tails, for providing us with a great space to leave Skye when her humans need to be away.
We have been sending our Airedale(s) to Happy Tails for at least 14 yrs. From puppyhood on until today. Ozzy (now 14yo) has been going there his whole life. It’s definitely his ‘happy place’ . We believe that this open environment is essential for our dogs, because we live in suburbia. They need to run and hang out with other dogs. They come home so balanced and calm (and very tired). It’s an amazing place. Trying to add pictures here.
Lisa and her team of helpers are amazing. Finn is the third dog I have taken to Happy Tails Pet Resort over more than 10 years. They have been very well cared for. They have a blast and come home tired. The facility is clean and care is taken for each dogs individual needs. Look how happy Finn is to be there.
We found Happy Tails while staying in Huntsville for 3 nights and our dog George absolutely loved it!!! We brought him 2 days and he couldn't wait to go back. Friendly staff, and such a fun space for the dogs to be out in nature! Can't recommend it enough and we can't wait to come back!
Happy Tails is such an amazing place for our BMD’s Clover and Truffle! So many acres to explore and the best caretakers! Thank you Lisa!
We’re always so cautious when trying to find a place to bring our three girls and based on some good reviews and great photos of happy dogs at Happy Tails we decided to try the day camp for them. They so excited when bringing them the second time and are always so tired! So pleased we found Happy Tails, the girls love going!
Vinny ( yellow lab cross) and Max( cockpoo)had a great 2 day sleep over at Happy tails . They we tired from all the activities. Steve and I highly recommend this great doggie camp.❤️
I cannot be more thankful that I found Happy Tails! My 3 year old foxhound Major went for the 100 day detox program and returned with amazing results. The grounds are beautiful with many places for the dogs to swim and run around freely and safely. I’ve already booked another visit for my dog to return next month. There is nowhere else I trust to leave my dog overnight. I know she’s under the best care and truly having the time of her life. Thanks Lisa and all the staff for everything you do!
Our dogs love it here, it's like doggie camp! Our dogs have been coming here since they were pups, so going on 8 and 3 years. They always come home tired and sleep like logs for days. I love that they get to run around and play with other dogs. Wouldn't send them anywhere else!
It’s the best feeling when we board our black lab, Karma, at Happy Tails in Huntsville. We know that she will have so much fun running free in the forest and swimming in the ponds, and that she is well cared for by Lisa and her staff. We also just love that it is crate free boarding, which not too many facilities are equipped with. It is so obvious to us and such a comfort, that Lisa cares so much for all the dogs and that their fun and safety is her absolute priority. Our dog Karma, comes home very exhausted and very happy. You truly won’t find any other properties like this that are an absolute Haven for dogs. It’s such a feeling of comfort when we take Karma there for her little mini dog vacation. I can’t recommend this place highly enough… You can feel very comforted in the knowing that when you take your dog to Happy Tails in Huntsville, they will have so much fun and be so well cared for!
Just wanted to give a shoutout to Bryce, who was a quick to reply to my inquiry. I did a tour of the facility the next day and it was very clean and organized. While I’ve never boarded or sent my dogs to daycare, I was apprehensive. However, I have to say after our tour (our dogs sniffed around and checked it out too), I felt great about sending my pups here. A couple days later the dogs went for a visit and play. I felt that Bryce was very knowledgeable and organized the dogs with similar temperament dogs. Also, the dogs are always supervised. This was also important since one of ours is a puppy. I would not hesitate to recommend Four Paws and I’m sure glad my friend recommended it to me.
I boarded my 2 year old German shepherd here this weekend. It was his first time being in a daycare/boarding environment. The staff was so helpful and kind and they took amazing care of my boy. They take the time to let your dog socialize rather than just keeping them in a kennel which allows them to get out energy and be mentally stimulated. He was so happy there and I will definitely be bringing him back the next time we go up north! So grateful my sister recommended them to me!
Four Paws Ready Inn has given us such wonderful customer service! My dogs know exactly when I am driving there and are so excited to get dropped off!! Thank you for taking such great care of our furry family!!!
Really nice experience. Would have liked to have been shown around the facility and outdoor space a little bit to feel better about leaving my dog to make sure I felt it was up to snuff but that aside my dog appeared happy on pick up and likely loved playing with the other dogs. The drop off and pick is made really easy and they seem super flexible on timing. Great experience overall.
We brought our 16 month old puppy here for the day. Neil was very helpful and provided me with all the info that I needed. The times for drop off and pick up were very flexible. We felt confident that we were leaving him in good hands. Thank you also to Shelby who groomed our dog before pick up. He was so clean and smelled really nice, not the typical dog shampoo smell 😊. I know Tundra had an amazing time. Thanks for taking the time to tell us about his day. We will definitely be back.
For a kennel, this is a good one. My dog Roma seemed fine after a one day stay, not that she would like to be back because she prefers her humans 😀 The staff is pleasant. I was not clear how many times the dogs get to go outside in winter, but you can ask …
My wife and I boarded our 7 month old Golden Retriever at Four Paws Ready Inn for 1 week. Originally we were very hesitant to board our dog since she had never been boarded for more than 2 nights, but we were assured by the friendly staff and excellent enclosure. Overall it was a great and affordable experience. We will be back next year.
Such a positive boarding experience! Both the owner and her daughter spent time talking to me prior to dropping my quirky rescue Husky off and upon picking her up. A great place for those that worry about boarding their dogs. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Four Paws!
Awesome place because they love the dogs they look after. My little puppy loves to stay here. Reasonably priced as well.
Best dog boarding kennel in Muskoka. Very accommodating, great with our dogs Koda and Hoss. The staff are awesome .
Elizabeth has been a life saver for us! We added a fourth dog to our home, and then unexpectedly found ourselves crazy busy in our careers. We couldn’t have survived this summer - with a puppy! - without her. My extremely high energy pup comes home exhausted and calm, and she lets my other (older) dogs (who don’t need midday walks) out for some play time when she comes by. She has also done some full day sitting where he gets to play with other dogs more tolerant of puppy play than my other old dogs! Couldn’t be happier!!!!!!! Thanks Elizabeth!!!!!!!
If your looking for somewhere to take your furr baby look no further. Elizabeth is 100% "All about the Dog". It is hard enough balancing work and life. Then there are our beloved furr babies to worry about too. My Millie has been going to see Elizabeth right from a puppy. Millie has always been treated with love like her own, exercised, fed and socialized. I cannot say enough good things. I feel blessed to have found such amazing doggie daycare.❤️
My adopted Lab is a bit wary of new people but immediately warmed up to Elizabeth. Her setup with a huge fenced yard and long walks in the woods and having the dogs in her home means I can leave Martin behind with no guilt. We are so glad she moved to town!
Great place to take your dog, no cages and lots of fenced-in area for them to run and play with other dogs. Elizabeth takes an interest in every dog and gives them plenty of love. Highly recommend that if you are looking for a safe, secure place to take your pet, it's here.
