Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!
Sharon and Milton were outstanding sitters and if I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. Reliable, communicative, helpful, self sufficient and tidy, they took great care of my home. More importantly my cats were lovingly cared for and extremely content when we returned. I highly recommend Sharon and Milton without reservation and hope to have them return in the future.
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Jeanne is a repeat pet sitter for us. She is wonderful and takes great care or our cats and our home. We have peace of mind when we travel knowing our kitties are under her care.
Kathryn was a wonderful sitter for Princessa! She was flexible and communicative and took great care of my cat and home.
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Kathryn was such nice and kind sitter that both of my boyfriend and me were grateful to have, including my cats!! My cats seemed having great time with her, being around her, chilling on couch with her, or even sitting on her. I got several photos of my cats from her with whort updates. I’m thankful that she let me do facetimes with her when I missed my cats. The house was clean and tidy when we came back. I definately will ask her again to sit my cats and house when I need. Thank you Kathryn!!:)
We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.

We brought both of our dogs to Mandy for board and train. Both of our pups are northern breed rescues, which makes them extremely independent and anxious in new places. Mandy was able to train both of them how to walk on a leash, sit, down, place and heel. Mandy was amazing with our dogs. She has a heart of gold that loves her job, dogs and we are so grateful for her help. Bonus is we now have a place we trust to take our dogs for daycare and boarding. Highly highly recommend Mandy!
My 10 month old mini American Shepherd (or Mini Aussie) Autumn went for a 2 week board and train and did amazing! Mandy is very sweet and encouraging in her training method, Autumn had a lot of fun. While Autumn is extremely smart, she has a lot of anxiety and can be stubborn. With 2 toddlers and a newborn on the way, I just didn’t have the time to set a side training her for leash manners and reactivity. I initially was worried about sending Autumn for 2 weeks as she’s my baby, I’m super proud of her and impressed with the amazing work Mandy has done with Autumn. I can see that there’s lot of positive reinforcement and praise involved in training rather than just corrections. Autumn loves Mandy and I can tell my pup was very much loved and enjoyed during the two weeks. Communication was always on point and she sent updates on Autumn’s progress all throughout with pictures and videos. My other high anxiety Aussie will be starting his board and train soon with Mandy and I’m super excited and less worried this time around. I trust Mandy will do her amazing work with Copper and that my baby is in good hands!
I just picked up my two bernedoodles after a two week board and train stay. It was a great experience. The trainer sent us daily updates with their progress. it included photos and a video showing what they worked on each day. The dogs loved her and seemed so happy to be learning. I spend a couple hours today at pickup being trained myself on how to continue their progress at home. It is amazing how much they learned on a week. I am looking forward to dogs with much improved manners and behavior! I highly recommend them!
My dogs aren’t the only ones who respond to positive reinforcement. Although I don’t get treats, I do get lots of encouragement from Wendy. I’ve learned a lot, my dogs are much happier and they love going to class. Training takes time and patience and Wendy really encourages these. It’s all been a positive experience and we’re looking forward to our next round of training.
Mandy did an amazing job with my doodle. He came home better behaved and listening very well. Would definitely recommend the 2 week training.
Our husky Margo has a great time staying and playing here! Great staff and facility, and Margo sleeps like a log after a day spent here 😴 …
Honestly best trainer on earth. Would never train any where else! She's so kind and sweet with my mini dachshund evee. My girl is 6months and has went through 2 courses with her so 8 single days of training and she's amazing. Very well behaved and can be in public without going crazy. 👏 I'm doing 1 more session with her for collar training and I'm very excited. Love Mandy!
Mandy was so great to work with and our pup is doing so well after two weeks of board and train. It’s clear he had so much love while staying with her but also learned so much. Come, sit, stay, easy walking on the leash and learning self control with behaviors like counter surfing and chewing, etc. He’s a much happier dog knowing what’s expected of him and that we’ll follow through in guiding him, and we are a much happier family who can thoroughly enjoy having him close by for all family activities throughout the day. So grateful for his training!!
Our 9 month old Lab was struggling with reactivity, leash walking, commands. 2 weeks later and he is a different dog! I have not left my dog with anyone, a tad overprotective. I was very comfortable and confident he was in good hands. Mandy is excellent and you can see he is happier with his new skills. I would highly reccomend that you work with this trainer to invest in your fur baby!!
I love taking my Cardigan Corgi, Tolven, to daycare here! They all love him and he clearly has a blast coming here. He always looks forward to going and comes home tired & happy :)
We just picked up our two pups after leaving them for their very first ever boarding experience. We were a bit concerned about how they would do, but Connie obviously takes great care of her furry visitors. Her place is always very clean and all her guests appear to be happy. Pricing is competitive with other boarders in this area.
Our little girl was so wonderfully cared for while we were away. Highly recommend Blue Collar South.
We have boarded our dog Leo with Connie since he was a puppy (four years now) and the experience has always been outstanding. Connie has been thoughtful about where she places Leo within her kennels and often places Leo next to other small dogs. Connie is easy to get ahold of and communicate with and has been a reliable and no nonsense border. She keeps her kennels clean and organized and truly loves the animals that she boards. Leo is always in a good mood when we come to pick him up. Connie is highly recommended!
I have shopped for boarding before and never thought I'd be able to find something affordable. Connie's rates are very competitive with surrounding boarding in this area. She keeps the dogs on a schedule, they're safe, warm and fed and my dog always comes back to me happy and healthy. I really like how each dog has their own inside kennel with a dog door to their own outside kennel. As a person, Connie is absolutely delightful and fun to chat with. She is very flexible about pick up and drop off times, which I find to be a huge advantage.I have hired this business 4 times now and I will definitely keep coming back. I highly reccomend this business.
I would not recommend this place. Had heard good things from reviews. However after having our dog there for 1 nite and half a day she called for us to pick up our senior pug. She was told upon drop off that he had never been in a kennel before. He is also deaf and has anxiety. Upon pick up at her chosen time per our conversation. She never got up from her backyard. We asked about pick up and she said go help yourself. To us this was horrible customer service. No explanation or I am sorry it did not work out or even a refund. Hope this sheds some light.
We've been using Blue Collar Kennels for several years. Connie, the owner is fantastic. The runs are always clean, the dogs have clean bedding and you can tell that she loves her work.
We love Connie and the excellent services she provides with love and compassion... It doesn't get any better. Our companion has the freedom to be inside or outside at will. Love, love, love this lady! So happy we found you.
I've been bringing dogs to Connie for over 15 years. Her prices are the lowest in town. my dog is always happy to come see her and always sad to leave.
The service is excellent, very good compassionate care for our 6lb poodle!
Connie is great with our dogs.
Rhonda has been wonderful with our sometimes “demanding” cat! She treats him like her own and always answers my text messages when I’m missing him.
Will never take my kitty anywhere else. Rhonda is the best, She takes such good care of our kitty. We've been going to her for 15 yrs. I've never had a complaint.
My cat has been boarded here for several years. Rhonda is excellent with cats ... I never worry. I've chosen Sandbox Ranch Lodge over much closer kennels because of the great care.
There is no place I would trust more to care for my cat. She is 18yo, needs meds morning & evening plus is challenging to feed...and Rhonda is amazing with her!!
Checking in and out was very easy They monitored and adjusted to our cat's mood We supplied the cat food so that he didn't have to adjust Our cat after return is happier than when he was bordered at other locations
Best cat lodge EVER. Great digs and best care from experienced family.
Great personalized care for our pet!
Perfect place to board your kitty!
Good
Excellent
The owners were very caring and answered all our questions about the stay. Our dog loved staying with them and playing with the other dogs instead of kept in a kennel. We will definitely be using them again when needed!
Patricia and Steven have a great place . The dogs are happy and well behaved. They get to run out and play in the large fenced yard or hang out with people in the well kept living room. My dog Molly adjusted so quickly and didn’t even want to come home. I told Patricia she must be a dog whisperer .
I have been using Patricia almost daily now for over 3 months while I am at work. She is AMAZING with my 1 year old puppy, he always has so much energy and is ZONKED by the time he comes home. It was scary at first leaving him for 8 hours a day with another person but Patricia has eased all of my stresses by loving my dog almost as much as me and always being so pleasant to interact with. He has NEVER had any problems and when he was boarded for a few days while I was out of town I got photo updates regularly. She truly does love what she does and loves her animals and I can guarantee she treats all the pups she cares for like her own. He is always so excited to go, and it makes me so happy he can have fun and play while I work full time. I never have to worry that he is not being cared for or that he is unhappy. I cannot recommend Patricia more. Your pups will always be loved and well cared for here.
I have been so happy with my experiences using Patricia and Steven's Doggy Daycare, and most importantly, my doggos have loved the visits too. I was incredibly relieved to find them available last minute during Spring Break after I had a death in the family and had to leave the state unexpectedly and on short notice. I'm definitely not the kind of pet owner who is comfortable leaving their pets with just anyone, but after the initial Meet and Greet, I was much more reassured. Patricia told me she wanted the experience of loved pets coming to stay with them to feel like they were going to "Gwammie's house", and that was 100% the experience she provided. They make sure to take only a select number of dogs so each can get the attention it deserves and will strictly adhere to any diet your kiddo is on. Their home is an environment that is definitely dog-friendly and it really impressed me how well all the dogs, including mine, settled in and got along well with each other. I also really liked that the dogs have access to a doggy-door to go outside to a fenced area to potty when they needed. As an extra bonus, it was even a little less expensive than the pet hotel I would have normally used. When it came time to schedule my vacation, I absolutely wanted to use their services again and was so grateful they were available. When my girls realized where they were going, they were so happy to go back and got super excited in the car. It left me with a feeling that my dogs were comfortable with the previous stay and relaxed with the idea of staying again, which is always so reassuring when you leave your pets as a pet parent. In the future, they will absolutely be my pet-sitting service of choice!
We have been boarding our dogs with Patricia and her son for the last few years. They are so awesome with our pups. We recently just had our pup boarded with them for a week and half. And due to weather conditions we got stuck and couldn't pick our pup up for another few days. They were so accommodating and understanding. We really appreciate how much they care for our pup! Patricia and Steven are fantastic! And our dogs love hanging out at her house and playing!
I could not be happier with Patricia's Doggy Daycare. While visiting our original plans fell through and we were stuck with finding a quick alternative. I called a couple of other places, and they could not even get us a meet and greet until the end of the month. Then I called Patricia and she worked with my short notice needs. At the meet and greet I knew right away that this was a great place to leave my dog for the day. Patricia was very flexible and accommodating as our schedule changed at the last minute. If you are looking for a great place to take your pup, I highly recommend Patricia's Doggy Daycare.
Patricia and Steven have been taking care of my dog regularly for the last 6 months and I personally recommend them to coworkers, friends, and family members. She has a large, wonderful fenced yard that dogs have 24/7 access to via a doggy door--which is great for my high-energy dog that loves to play all-day-long. Patricia and Steven are life-savers for me and my best furry friend! I can't thank them enough for taking such great care of my dog.
We used Patricia’s Doggie Daycare for a week while on a trip to Texas. Patricia arranged several meet and greets to make sure our pups would all get along. There is a big fenced yard for the dogs to run around in as well as a doggie door for easy outdoor access. Patricia and her son Steven took great care of Dougal. She sent regular updates to me to ease my mind since this was the first time we had left our boy with anyone. Patricia is very knowledgeable on just about every aspect of pet care. She is kind and very calm. We will definitely be using her services again! Thanks Patricia and Steven!
Our dog Jasper had an amazing experience w Patricia and her son Steven. It was his first time and they took very good care of him! Patricia kept me updated and was very responsive to texts. You can tell they both really care for dogs and treated Jasper as one of their own. He definitely will be going back!
Patricia seems like a dog whisperer! We were in the area from out of town for a weekend and needed a place for our dog to go while we went to the Kitsap Forest Theater. She was responsive to all communication, reassuring and professional. She and her son took great care of our fur baby, who had a recent bad experience at a different kennel and is now nervous. When I picked my dog up, she seemed content and having a good time. Thankful to have found her!
Like many dog owners, my cavalier is one of the family. I’m a bit over protective and certainly concerned for not only his health but his daily love of life. Where to leave him while going on vacation was a difficult decision until we learned about Rosedale Pet Resort. The personal care and attention he receives there and the upscale facilities make that decision easy, now. He has been going there 3 to 4 times a year for four years. We have always been very happy with the personal care he gets and the pictures and updates received. He always seems excited to be there when we drop him off and always excited to see us when we pick him up: much like we are excited to get to our vacation spot and then happy to be home once again. It’s always hard to leave my sidekick behind but I never have to worry about his welfare at Rosedale. I truly believe we both end up with enjoyable vacations.
Couldn’t ask for a better place to board our boy. I’ve boarded two of our dogs before and Amy is amazing as always, but this was the first time my Newfie boarded alone in the 12 years of his life. We recognized that he wasn’t doing well with riding the car long distance and with the summer heat, we thought he’d do better boarding. I was naturally concerned, but Amy knew him and reassured me that he’d do fine. She couldn’t have been more right. She sent us pictures daily and he looked so happy that I had the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation even though it was without him this time. There honestly is no better place for dedicated attention to the wellbeing of dogs, especially seniors. Our dog really came to life having been blessed with so much love and attention this weekend.
Today was our 5 month old puppy’s first visit. He has had very little interaction with other dogs or people. Amy was amazing, gentle and understanding . She made Ollie’s visit as positive as possible. He came home at peace. We feel extremely grateful to have found this pet resort.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Rosedale Pet Resort. Both my dog and cat stayed over Christmas Break and Mel sent me pictures everyday of both of them, letting me know how they were doing. Where the extraordinary service came in was when our flight got cancelled and extended for 4 days because of bad weather. Without missing a step Mel said she would keep our pets as long as we needed and to not worry. I had only packed enough food for the week they would be there, so Mel and her husband Jon went out in the snow and bought both our cat and dog their food! I was so overwhelmed with emotion. What an amazing small business to do this! We ended up getting in super late on New Years Eve so Mel kept them another night for us free of charge and said that Jon would even deliver the both of them to us in the afternoon. I am so appreciative to Mel, Jon and Rosedale Pet Resort. You can tell how much they love animals. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.
Mel took such good care of my three animals which consist of two seniors (cat and dog) and a younger dog. Mel was so good at communicating with me daily, sending photos and updates on each of them it made being away from them much easier. She offers the best customer service that I have ever received and I will not go anywhere else to board my animals moving forward. Highly recommend Rosedale Pet Resort!!!
I cannot say enough positive things about Mel and the Rosedale Pet Resort! We took our 3 year old goldendoodle to stay for the weekend while we attended a wedding. Drop off was easy, they gave Chewie time to get acclimated and then he had the best time playing and enjoying his weekend. I know, because Mel kept me updated with texts and pics throughout the weekend! It can be a little nerve wracking when you try a new boarding facility, but Rosedale Pet Resort made sure I was comfortable and reassured all weekend. After playing hard all weekend (and possibly rolling around I. The mud! 😜) it was such an amazing bonus to pick up our freshly bathed pup! Booking was so easy online as well. I was able to request the reservation when I was thinking about it and not try to remember during a hectic work day. I would highly recommend Mel and the Rosedale Pet Resort! Chewie can’t wait to go back!
Amy was fabulous with our dog George. He stayed for 10 days and had a terrific time on his daily walks. I would definitely recommend Rosedale Pet Resort. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby.
This was our first time using Rosedale Pet Resort for our eleven year old pup. From the first interaction with Mel, it was clear how passionate she is about taking care of animals. Rosedale Pet Resort stands by its name; it has a small “boutique” feel to it with personalized care. The grounds are fully fenced with trails and grassy areas for the pups to get lots of exercise. The “Deluxe Sleepaway Campout/Dog Bunkhouse” is private, secure and clean with a comfy dog bed and plenty of room to move around- there are no crates which is a big plus! Mel provided me with lots of pictures and updates each day and I could tell how much fun our pup was having playing with the other dogs. It was wonderful knowing that my pup was being so well taken care of. The icing on the cake was that Mel gives all dogs a bath just before pick-up time. My pup was so soft and smelled heavenly! We have the highest praise for Mel and look forward to using her services again.
THANK YOU to Mel, Jon and the Perry Kids for loving our dogs like they were your own while we went on a mini-vacation. We were beyond impressed with the ease of making an appointment via your website, your attention to detail to ensure the dogs needs are met while keeping them safe and having fun while they had their own vacation! Rosedale Pet Resort is exactly what Gig Harbor needed and we are lucky to have a local family care for our loved ones as much as they do. Our previous kennels felt cold/drop your dog and leave kind of places. The Perry's made us feel welcome and put our minds at ease as we were worried about leaving our Olde English Bulldogge because he is a bulldog! Stubborn, doesn't play nice all the time and loves to hog all the bed/food/treats! Mel assured us he would be loved, cared for and welcomed. Mel took the time to introduce Russell to others, gave him his allergy meds and made sure he had "his space" when he needed it. Lola our Boxer loved her time as well. Jon and Mel took the extra time to send us pictures and give us updates on them both. You could see the smiles on our dogs faces!! They were have an amazing time which made our time away even more enjoyable. BONUS: Lola and Russell got a bath before we picked them up which is included with the stay! We never had a kennel do this or felt this at ease with any other kennel. They are now home happy, clean and exhausted!! If anyone needs a place for their dog or cat we would HIGHLY recommend Mel & Jon Perry at the Rosedale Pet Resort! Thank you for caring and loving our dogs so much!!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mel. I had several questions before my reservation and she answered them all in a timely manner. My two senior puggles stayed Monday-Friday while I was on a work trip. One of my dogs has several medication needs and behavioral quirks and Mel was willing to take them all on at no additional charge. I got regular updates along with adorable pictures and when my flight was delayed she even let me pick up after hours. I would board my dogs here again in a heartbeat, you can tell they are treated with care!
We had our Giant Schnauzer puppy’s hair cut and groom here for the very first time. All the staff were very kind, professional and informative and addressed all our questions with ease. The cut was just what we wanted. Thank you to the staff, we will definitely be coming back.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for the amazing job Howllywood did to transform this little lady! Inches of thick matted mess, and WOW! She looks and displays feeling so much better! Thank you for making this little ladies life so much better today!
Our Corgi, Lili, loves Hollywood! She receives the best treatment and her grooming is absolutely perfect every time.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Boarding is reasonably priced. Dog came back smelling great, despite the fact that I didn't order a bath when he was boarded. The whole process was seamless.
My Lobster looks dashing and he will remain this way until he finds a puddle. We take him to Howllywood for his nails monthly or when needed, and recently for his grooming. He looks happy with how he looks based on the picture or maybe because he knows he is clean and got a lot of kisses and hugs from us. I will be taking Lobster to Howllywood again and again because of proximity and the awesome staff.
Great people here. Took my farm dog in for proper grooming. She's never been to a groomer before, but they made her comfortable, and she loved it. Details were on point. She looks great. Really reasonably priced as well. We will be returning as regulars.
Saved the day AND got our doggos back looking fresher then ever. We had a sitter cancel last minute and as we were dropping the dogs off for a first time grooming asked if there was any chance they could take two last minute over night guests. The front desk employee was very helpful and went out of her way to check and see if they could take them in.
Friendly staff and they did a great job on our 1yr pup for an affordable price! Will definitely be back!
I have been boarding my two dogs at Howllywood Pet Grooming for several years now and I couldn't be happier with the care they receive. Every time we drive up to the shop, my pets are excited and happy, which puts my mind at ease. I always opt for a bath on the pickup day, so when I come to pick them up, they are not only clean but also happy and well-groomed. The staff at Howllywood truly goes above and beyond to ensure that my dogs are well taken care of and I highly recommend their services to all pet owners looking for a place to leave their furry friends.
Very nice crew who kept my skiddish shepherd calm! My dog was happy to be there. I appreciated their feedback concerning my dog's behavior and interactions with other dogs. They seemed to know what they were doing and could "read" my dog. I Will be my boarding place from now on.
Highly recommend!!! I have dogs who do get anxiety but every time I drop them off, they happily trot off with the staff . The facility is clean & the area is set up really well. You drive/walk up and can see the owner's beautiful dogs. My dogs smell so good when I pick them up which tells me they keep their runs clean. They always come home with these adorable bandanas, & happy as can be. This last stay being so close to Halloween, the dogs were sent home with their "trick or treat" bags of dog treats. I appreciate the staff's understanding of all dog breeds and their care for the dogs when they are with them!!!!! Thank you for always taking such good care of my pups!
Professional and excellent customer service. We've been taking our Great Pyrenees here for almost six years now and he always comes home looking and smelling great!!
Wonderful kennel and professional grooming! Our shellie runs to see the staff when we drop her off, she loves them! Cricket, our sheltie always looks beautiful when we pick her up after grooming! Thank you!
We took our Rottweiler there for boarding. When we went to pick him up, Kimberly, the owner made several unwanted comments on our dogs weight. Another worker went in back and brought him out and said that he really didn’t eat very well while he was there . The owner then said “that’s not a bad thing!” The owner was extremely rude and we would never take our dog there again.
My dog and I highly recommend the grooming service at Gig Harbor Kennels. She came back looking great after I allowed her to get a bit ragged. Like a new pup (almost).
My great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepard mix stayed here for a week. The location is easy to find and is beautiful! We had a great experience. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and caring. She was well cared for. She was also clean and smelled great when we picked her up, better than when we left her! I highly recommend them and will continue to use them for all my dog boarding needs!
We left our 2 boxer babies with them and were very pleased with the service and care received. Easy drop off/pick up, nice grounds, our dogs came back smelling and looking cuter than when we left them. I could tell my dogs were more relaxed at this kennel than others we have used. Highly recommend and appreciate the care! Price is great, too.
Great place to board your dog! I am a protective dog mom of 10 year old English bulldog and I trust this facility with him. We’ve boarded our pup here for long stays and they always take great care of him, and he comes home in an adorable bandana! We have to make our dogs food and refrigerate it, all his food was dropped off at the facility in Tupperware and they gave us the Tupperware back all cleaned. Just great service, they go above an beyond!
Very good. My family and I drop our friends off here for vacation time and every time we pick them up they're healthy, happy and bathed! Wonderful service
I am new to the area and took my Mini Schnauzer, Levi for grooming. Levi had a huge smile on his face the moment we walked in which told me he felt safe there. Jodi did an amazing job! I am super picky! Levi has been running through the house with a huge smile because he knows he looks so handsome. I highly recommend Gig Harbor Kennel Groom & Board!
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET!! 1 star because my dog is still alive. This place is terrible. We took our dog to the Olalla location during the week of Christmas and the elderly woman at the front desk was very unprofessional, angry, rude to my wife and her employees. She lied about the size of the space our dog would be in. When I called to check on our dog, more if the same... very rude " Your dog is just fine!" Before they even checked on her. And then they didn't even check with the correct person that was working with our dog, if anyone was. When we finally came back to Washington and picked up our dog, the woman was quote rude and short with us again, and was rude with the younger employees as well. I told them several times not to bathe our dog and the woman acted shocked. They took a very long time to bring out our dog and when she finally came out, her nose was bleeding. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET!!
I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Lady at front desk came off as quite rude. Almost didn't leave dogs here because of that. Wish I would have followed my instincts there. When I picked them up. One of them was muzzled against our wishes. She is the sweetest thing and would not hurt a fly. Or older dog they let sit in his own urine and poop because they could not be bothered to pick him up and help him out. Do not bring your pets here, unless you don't care about them. I certainly never will again.
If you are considering boarding your dog here, I urge you to run away from this establishment. I am hesitant to post bad reviews, but this place is dangerous and people should know. First off, the older lady at the front is rude (just like every other review will tell you), I could overlook this, but the treatment my dog received here was UNACCEPTABLE. We dropped off a perfectly healthy and happy lab and picked up an injured, limping, terrified, trembling dog covered in scratches, open sores and missing patches of fur. My sweet boy came home terrified of people, cowering from me when he got home, and became aggressive barking and growling at the vet which is a behavior he has NEVER displayed before. My heart is saddened. Please learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere. Your fur baby is worth it ❤️
Our kitty was the only cat that didn't look like they were on vacation. She's just a sour puss, I guess. Every other cat was perfectly content, some even wanted love from us. But our baby was hiding in the back of a cat tower. Despite her anti-social behavior, she was safe and cared for. We just got her home, and she's kinda extra skittish, but she's a cat so... It was very evident that the owner was not the kindest boss to her staff, but it was only her staff taking care of the animals for all that I could see. I am going to use a different boarding home the next time I need one, because I believe staff should be treated better. I would never work for or allow anyone I loved to work for someone who spoke to them that way. I had kinder Drill Sergeants. That said, this business provided a moderately priced service that was effective, and my kitty seemed better cared for than the staff.
To my readers, I really like this place! I have been bringing my four legged family member for quite some time. The staff is friendly and professional. They are very thorough with their expectations and with your as well. The kennels are nice and neat. They have sliding doors to their kennels so that they can have access to their runners. The one thing I really like is that they will allow you to take your furry legged family member to their rooms (Kennels). To me, this is very important. Although, its hard to say goodbye to my furry son, but it is important that they see you off than just handing a leash to a stranger to be towed off to a metal gated cell and not knowing what is going on. They do offer a lot of amenities for your love one. They offer daily walks (outside the compound). During the hot seasons, they offer a swim in their swimming pool and they will supply them with a frozen Pupsicles; a tasty treat for your baby (extra expense)! If you feel the need and you give them an expected time of return, they will take your baby and give him or her a bath along with a toenail clip (extra expense). Although, I have never used this service, but they have a REALLY cool kitty room. I love looking in there and seeing all the cats laying around in the cat trees. From what I can see, they do not look stressed out. Overall, I plan on using them again. Word of caution — they can get filled up quickly so please call in advance time to get your reservations on the books — if you like my post please submit “like” — thank you!
I couldn't ask for a better place to have taken my dog and 3 cats, multiple times!! The place is kept so clean and smells good Even! The owner genuinely cares and is very sweet, the ladies that work there really take pride in there job and kept me updated and there The greatest as well!! If I could give this place a million stars, I would in a heartbeat! I can't thankyou enough for taking such great care of my babies basically!!!! 💕 I will forever have my animals go here if needed!!! Thankyou again!!!!!!!
Joie (the owner) is fantastic and we are so happy to know her. Her facility is very clean, our animals are always extremely well cared for, happy and smell great when we pick them up! Her staff is lovely and clearly care about all the animals. Our friends/family that have boarded with her have had the same positive experiences as us with a range from toy to large breeds. We have been clients of hers for several years and will continue to be. Our dogs are excited to be dropped off and happy to see us when they get picked up. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The old lady at the front is disgustingly rude to everybody that walks through her doors including her staff. She lets her own dogs wander around the front lobby and pee everywhere and doesn’t bother cleaning it up. She yelled at me to put my dog back in the car when I first went to drop him off which was strange to me since I can’t drop him off if he’s still in the car? I picked my dog up today and he has been non stop vomiting and seems completely stressed out in his own home. He has been wandering around the house for 3 hours and refuses to sit and relax. A lot more things went wrong here with my dog that I don’t want to type out. Completely disappointed with the service we got, especially with the high rates this place charges you. The only nice thing about this place is the young girls who seemed to genuinely love my dog. I feel bad for the staff that have to work under the owner. They should quit and never look back in my opinion, no one deserves to be treated the way that they are.
I’d like to start with the staff were very kind to me and from what I seen, my cats too. My problem is, they didn’t feed them the food I brought with them. I had brought 5 days worth of food for both of my cats and had given them instructions on when and how to feed them. None of that was done. As soon as I got home they both ate a full can of food, as if they didn’t eat at all while they were there. I did see dry food on the counter at the lodge for, what seemed to me, all of the cats. Unfortunately one of my cats has serious stomach problems and has been hospitalized several times before. I hope that doesn’t happen again. I should’ve listened to the reviews and steered clear of here. I’m not saying it’s not a good place but it’s definitely not right for me. If you have animals with specific needs, it would be in yours and your animals best interest to not stay here.
Have visited this lodge twice and both times my wild fur friends had the absolute best time! They came home happy and exhausted. They love the exercise time in the forested yard and I know the staff do everything to keep them fed, watered and pampered throughout their stay. The facility is clean and the staff are very welcoming and professional, they even wash your pets bedding before you pick them up. The owner runs a tight ship and truly cares about all her clients. She puts the safety of the pets first and goes above and beyond to accommodate her guests needs and requests. Highly recommend this place and it's services.
I would recommend for a mature cat. We boarded our 4 month old kitten that is very active. She climbed the inside top of the cage and had to have items put on top to prevent her climbing. She did not get the exercise she needed. Food wise, we sent 7 cans of wet food, she eats a can a day plus free feed dry food. 6 full days and we came home with 4 cans and missing a lid. The 'play' room is amongst the cages that are on tables. This is our 1st experience boarding a cat. Price was good and Linda was very nice. I would not recommend boarding an active kitten/cat.
The new owner is really cleaning it up! Some of the help is a little shady though 😂🤣😂🤣 …
Sandbox ranch is great with cats! It is clean, calm and well run. Your kitty will be in good hands here.
Large welcoming cages. Social distancing if cats. Play and wander time part of their day
Our cats were delighted to stay here. I recommend them highly.
Best cat boarding service around. They take great care.
Outstanding care.
As an employee: I would personally board my dog here if I didn’t work here, appropriate accommodations for practically any type or case of dog. Every employee is an animal enthusiast/ pet owner with the mindset of treating your furry family member like they where our own.
We recently boarded our two dogs at Bayside for 4 nights, and grooming. We discussed with them, about picking up our pups, since we were going out of town, we planned on picking them up in the early afternoon. We were told there would be a convenience fee for pick up after 4pm. When we arrived to pick them up at 1:04 pm, they included a charge for an additional night, "because you have to pick them up by noon". This was an additional $84 charge. We were not advised of this policy, and there was nothing posted in the lobby stating this policy, nor on their website. At the moment, and now in hindsight, I believe this information should have been emphasized when we made our reservation. It feels like we were misinformed of a very important aspect of their policy. I don't plan on boarding with them ever again.
We were visiting from pretty far out of town (ga) and needed to board our two dogs for a week while we took a cruise. We were nervous about boarding them as the dogs go everywhere with us, and the little one had never boarded. They were so accommodating, and you could really tell the owner and everyone there were dog lovers. They had a great time. Thank you so much.
We love Bayside. Our dog gets groomed here and has stayed many times. He appears to be happy and comfortable. The staff is great. Definitely recommend.
Had to board my two cats almost 3 weeks. Everyone was absolutely wonderful. Cannot recommend them enough. ❤️
Love this place! They take great care of our pup, both for grooming and boarding. A return customer for certain.
The staff is amazing. They gush over our Winston. We do doggy daycare where he gets to play with his doggy friends once a week, and board him there when we're out of town.
Staff actively listened to my concerns and addressed them all, making me comfortable that my Kenobi (8 mos kitten) with an irritated paw from surgery was well taken care of. Kristen was especially reassuring and went out of her way to make Kenobi secure AND she addressed his reddened paw (with my permission) with Colloidal Silver and intermittent use of the vet's plastic collar to keep him from licking. Oral meds were also given as prescribed. Kenobi stayed 3 nights and when I picked him up his paw looked 95% improved! I was very surprised and super pleased. ~~ The only downside to Bayside is the noise factor. Daytimes, their grooming business is quite loud and can be disturbing and, of course, some of their boarded dogs will bark, as you would expect. I expect there are cats & dogs used to this and for them it's not a problem, others may be stressed or overwhelmed by the noise. Maybe they adjust quickly, I really don't know. Remediating the noise factor with some soundproofing would be potentially expensive, I would think, but it would provide a much improved and more calm environment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall experience: Really excellent and recommended! Thanks to all of the caring staff, and very special thanks to Kristen for your kind words of concern and extra care to my kitten. ~ Suzanne Riley October 15 - 18, 2021
Our family have used their grooming and boarding services. My small dog is a timid dog so his baths take longer than normal but the staff is always making sure my dog is comfortable and are always patient with him. My dog isn’t a fan of how loud the blow dryer is so they put an happy hoodie over his ears to make him comfortable. Also they always call me back the same day when I call to set up a boarding reservation . They have a small dog play yard and a big dog play yard and don’t charge extra for playtime like other places do. My sister in law has a chihuahua that does not do well in the kennel and they allowed her to be up at the front with them! Thank you Bayside Animal Lodge for always taking care of our babies.
Have taken our dog three times and he appears to really enjoy. He comes home and rests for a few hours. The staff is extremely pleasant and appears to be concerned with the well being of our dog. Have made new stay dates.
Tammy was so wonderful, the dogs love her and seem to enjoy being here! I appreciated the communication when I had so many questions and was a worried pet-mama. She was responsive and calmed my nerves and everyone was happy when I picked them up. The kennels seem to be kept clean and are large, and the outdoor area is often full of happy pups. I opted for the bath and brush on our last visit and my dogs were beautifully groomed and extra clean and soft at pickup.
The staff is awesome. Always do a great job with all our dogs
We were so happy to discover Pampered Pets on Vashon! Our dogs needed boarded for a few nights, and it was very easy and the staff are amazing. Thank so much for caring for Abby and Rusty! -Surrey BC
The staff is really kind and outgoing. Our dogs come home healthy and happy. When we lived in Seattle, we would go to Paradise Pet Lodge in Woodinville. The facility here is different then there, but the love and patience they show our dogs (who are grumpy, incontinent old men) makes up that difference. Toastie and Diablo are treated really well here and we are so thankful for that.
We sent our dog here for 4 days while we were out of town recently. Pros: -prices are comparable to other dog boarding businesses, including off island - they actually asked to see proof of dog vaccination so I felt safer that my dog would not be exposed to anything while there from other boarders - no breed exemptions. Our dog is a pit mix. Cons: -we sent our dog freshly bathed and flea treated (prophylactically). She returned absolutely covered in fleas which have since infested our home and our two cats. We've bathed and treated all the animals, shampooed the carpets, and are still dealing with fleas and flea bites on both the dog and our children. Not cool.
We took our dog here to get boarded. Was told we’d receive updates on how she was doing and would also get pictures of her that they would post to their Facebook. They did none of that, we had to call for an update and they were super short on the phone and acted as if we were bothering them wondering how our dog was?? When we took her for her LAST and FINAL groom and they cut her feet so bad they were bleeding. We were told they “knicked” one of her paws. We get back to the house to let her out and we realize she’s leaving bloody paw prints all over the ground. We started looking closer to her paws and realized not only had they cut several of her feet up, but one of the areas they “knicked” was actually a severely deep cut. She was in a lot of pain and didn’t want to walk as it was hurting her when she would try to. You can’t tell me the lady that groomed her didn’t realize how bad several of these cuts were. This was not the only time this had happened. The final straw for us, and situation that took place was my sister was going to board her dog with pampered paws, but her vet was scheduled so far out that her puppy was not going to be vaccinated in time for their trip, so my sister needed to then cancel to have her pup get boarded. They were extremely rude on the phone and said “you knew when you put your $50 deposit you wouldn’t get that back” I mean come on, my whole family has spent a lot of money going to pampered paws and that’s how you’re going to act? the only reason she had decided to cancel was that her dog could’ve potentially gotten sick from other dogs, and you’re going to be that ridiculous about that? How unfair. Pampered paws is a joke, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Since sharing our stories with people, we have also gotten stories from other families that will never take their dogs back to you guys as well. I have unrecommend them to several people since.
Awoo! This is a wonderful resort for your little fuzzy ones. My Doberdor, Junior loves this place and is given lots of love, always.
Tammy and her staff are great and run a very safe and loving doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming business.
We are regular grooming customers. Great services, fair prices, nice people and clean facilities.
Love Tammy and all the people working there. They’re wonderful with my dog and go above and beyond!
