Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Hilary was a fantastic pet sitter for our cat - you would be so lucky to have her care for your pet and home. She took exceptional care of her and our home. Hilary played so much with her and took the best care. She was communicative, easy to coordinate with, and left everything super clean for us when we came back. Five stars is understating how extraordinary she was - we cannot recommend her enough!!
Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.
We were very lucky to have had Nia for our recent house sit. She communicated well before the sit and arrived as planned. We shared a meal before we left which gave us time to get to know her and tell her about the house and our pets. After we left it soon became clear the cats loved Nia and the attention she gave them. We were kept informed throughout her stay with regular updates and video clips of what they were up to and how the garden was growing etc. We highly recommend Nia as a pet/house sitter and we would certainly have her back should the opportunity arise. Thanks again Nia
Great pet sitter - took perfect care of our cat and our home. They were super communicate leading up to and during the sit and left our apartment in great shape. I'd absolutely recommend them to any future sitters!
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.
Denae and Burl were absolutely fabulous house/pet sitters for 4 weeks, Dec 2022- Jan 23. They are very friendly and intelligent, caring towards the animals (2 cats and 1 lively dog), and left our home clean and tidy. It all went very, very smoothly. It was a pleasure to deal with such nice people. We have invited them back whenever they want and hope the rest of their exploratory mission is a great success. I would be pleased to be contacted if anyone needs a further reference.
Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. She is a true animal magnet and lover. I highly recommend Anna to anyone who wants their pets to recieve first class love while away.
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!
Steven was a great sitter for our black lab Souris and cat Pinot. They were well looked after and really liked Steven. Our house was in good order when we got back and Steven was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the airport. He was very flexible, arriving day early so we could show him around.

Waggy Weddings service by Waggy Little Rascals made having our dog part of our day not only possible but effortless. Oriana was kind, very responsive and even customized a pricing-package for our specific needs. Maddy (our dog's date/walker) was incredible and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dog was in safe hands after his participation in our wedding. During the Meet and Greet, Maddy and our dog became immediate besties and on day-of Maddy collaborated with our wedding planner to communicate status updates to make sure we were focused on our celebration and not worrying about him. Our dog stole the show at our ceremony and Maddy even assisted our photographer to get great photos of our boy on our big day. After our ceremony, Maddy transported our dog back to our hotel and tucked him in for the night. If you're getting married in the Philly area and have a four-legged family member, contact Waggy Little Rascals to help make your special day perfect!
Waggy little rascals has been amazing dog walking (and sitting) service for us. They are always super reliable, responsive, and really make us feel comfortable that our dog is in good hands. They are very communicative during the booking process and always try to fit our schedule, even when things pop up last minute. We have used a number of dog walking services between NYC and Philly over the past 7 years and Waggy little rascals is really one of the best we’ve ever had!
I'm writing this review after having Waggy Little Rascals walk our dogs for ten months, several times per week. We have two five year old dogs who need walking while my husband and I are at work. The Waggy Little Rascals team has been excellent with them. They love our dogs with care, send us great photos and detailed reports, and give our dogs the special care they need if something is wrong (such as one time our dog had a suspicious bowel movement and they sent a photo so we could show the vet, or taking the dogs to a safer spot when an unleashed dog was nearby). This gives us peace of mind as our dogs love squirrels, birds, and can require full attention when walking. Logistically, it's so easy to schedule the walks in the app, and the owner Angela has been so understanding if we've had unexpected changes to our schedule. When they train new walkers, they always do a walk with another walker who knows our dogs and home already, which has led to seamless transitions. I am so grateful to have found this company. We were worried about returning to an in-office work schedule following the pandemic, but having Waggy Little Rascals made it an easy transition and we are still with them almost a year later!
We've been using Waggy Little Rascals to walk our dog for over a year now and can't say enough good things about them. Great people who care about the best interest of your pets. Will give them the love and attention they deserve. Professional, Quick to respond and very accommodating.
I cannot, ever, express how much i love WLR. I tell them all the time. My dogs are my babies and they can be kind of quirky and everyone at WLR who has worked with them has been amazing! Kind, flexible, reliable. I truly couldn’t live without them. And my girls LOVE them! One bajillion/10 couldn’t love them more!
Waggy Little Rascals continually goes above and beyond for my dog. They’ve been incredibly helpful during my first year of pet ownership. Before they started walking her, they came to my apartment for a meet and greet, and could not have been more skilled and professional while handling my initially shy and reactive pup. I appreciate that they took the time to get to know her before committing to working with her. After each walk, they give detailed reports (with photos!), which are reassuring. She has really blossomed socially, which is in no small part thanks to Waggy. When they opened the daycare, I jumped at the chance to sign her up. Again, before she joined the daycare roster, she spent some time trying it out so they could determine if she would be a good fit. She absolutely loves spending the day there and comes home happy and tired. Waggy has been wonderful every step of the way—through schedule changes, harness trial/error, and health issues. I am sure they’ll extend the same kindness and excellence to your pet!
We used the Waggy Weddings service for our November wedding, and it was the best decision. They picked up our dog Penny from our dog sitter, brought her to the wedding in an adorable dress they provided, and handled her like a pro. Angela and Oriana were responsive during the planning process and arrived on time. After the ceremony and a few pictures, Penny went back to the sitters. It took all the stress out of this important part of our wedding, and it wouldn't have been the same without her! She stole the show!
We have had and continue to have a great experience with WGL. Our dog Cora loves her walks with them, and we really appreciate the walk report and pictures. It helps put us at ease to know she is in good hands while we are gone. They are very professional and clearly care about the well being of their clients and their employees. We also really appreciate their flexibility and ability to accommodate walks outside of our usual schedule. Highly recommend them!
Best dog walkers and sitters in the world. They've gone the extra mile, including caring so well for our dog when she was sick and beginning to decline. They even manage to handle our ornery cat. They are kind people, great with pets, and provide great service. I recommend Waggy Little Rascals extremely highly!
I have been nothing but impressed since using this dog walking service. The 2 walkers I have had (Maddy & Alyssa) are extremely friendly, attentive and communitive. I always feel like my dog is in great hands when using these walkers during long work days. Definitely would recommend for anyone in need of walking service in the Philly area.
If you’re hesitant about dropping your dog off at Wag Watch…DON’T BE. Each staff member truly cares about each dog, keeps them safe and loves on them throughout the day. The facility is clean and we enjoy that they switch the dogs to different rooms during the day and also have quiet time. Jason, the owner, is great and is very helpful and reassuring during the onboarding process. We had her at a different daycare previous to Wag Watch and she really did not enjoy it there, we could tell it was too over-stimulating. When we brought her to this daycare, we could see a huge difference in her overall happiness. 10/10 would recommend giving your trust to Wag Watch.
Dog Disneyworld! Well-managed pack dynamics in a continually cleaned space. Active/engaging environment, not chaotic or stressful, so my dog is able to nap comfortably at her own pace throughout her visits. The team is the biggest distinguisher from other daycares in the area. My dog took to each handler immediately and is always stoked at drop-offs. Special shout-out to Tori, the Mary Poppins of dogs, who cuddles each pal throughout the day, paying special attention to the shy ones (not just the love mooches like mine).
BEST daycare in town! Spaces are great for dogs, and their live stream is amazing! They also write you a daily report card about how your dog was, who your dog's best friend was that day, etc., along with photos. Very responsive and reliable staff. My dog loves going here!
My golden retriever, Leo, is quite the discerning pup when it comes to his daycamp experiences, but Wag Watch has unquestionably become his favorite! The sheer excitement he shows when we're even remotely near the facility is a testament to the fantastic environment they've created for our canine companions. Not only does Leo have a blast at Wag Watch, but he also returns home satisfyingly exhausted, signaling a day well-spent in engaging activities and wholesome play. As a pet parent, it's immensely comforting to see him not only eager to be there but also healthily tired out by the day's end - it's the kind of active engagement he needs! Also, one cannot help but notice the immaculate condition of the facility. It's evident that cleanliness is a priority at Wag Watch, which speaks volumes about their commitment to the well-being of the pets entrusted to them. The peace of mind I gain from knowing that my Leo is in a sanitary and well-maintained environment cannot be overstated. Wag Watch earns a resounding five stars for providing a safe, clean, and fun-filled haven that my dog Leo absolutely adores. It's more than just a dog daycamp; it's a community that genuinely understands and loves our furry family members. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-quality care and an enriching experience for their pets! 🐾
Wag Watch is the best place to bring your dog, period. Under the watchful eyes of the exceptional staff (shoutout to Steve and Kaylee), our girl has gone from being a timid, undersocialized puppy to a confident, outgoing dog who holds her own. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, dropoff and pickup are easy to schedule, and the dogs come home absolutely exhausted. They also offer overnight boarding, a fantastic option if you (like us) don't have family in the area to watch your dogs! 10/10, a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood.
THE best daycare ANYWHERE!! I'm so sad I'm moving and I wish I could take everyone from Wag Watch with me to NJ!! Everyone that works there is so nice and really care about the dogs. My pup Franklin loves snuggling with the handlers (see photo below) just as much as he loves playing with the dogs. One even took Franklin with her to the break room for her lunch break because he was missing her so much. I have been looking at daycares where I am moving but nothing compares to Wag Watch. I'm truly ruined and spoiled for all future daycares. Their online portal is amazing for booking days, viewing the cameras to check on him while he's there and the report cards everyday are my favorite! Some of my best photos of Franklin are from the Wag Watch handlers! As I nurse, I could not have made it through nightshift with a puppy without Jason and his team! Franklin and I will miss you so much!
Jason and the entire staff at Wag Watch have been nothing short of life changers for us! With an anxious COVID puppy, everyone has been so patient with getting our pup adjusted and making him as happy as possible. We feel so comfortable and know he’s in the best hands. We have been so impressed with the level of professionalism and kindness - they go the extra mile for their customers and it makes all the difference. Without a doubt, would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering signing up.
Wag Watch is the best place to bring your dog in Philly! I have been to a ton of doggie daycares and this is by far our favorite. Stevie always drags me to the door when we are anywhere near Wag Watch. The facility and amenities are top notch and the care that she gets from Jason and the other employees is truly the best. We know she is in great hands and having an absolute blast when she is there. I would highly recommend Wag Watch to all dog owners!
Wag Watch has been a lifesaver. Our dog, Captain, is a rescue and we don’t know much about his life before us. However, he loves playing with other dogs. My work requires me to be in the office a bunch so giving Captain a place I know he’s not only safe, but also having fun is the best! I love that I can check in during the day and see him playing with other dogs, or taking a nap (his 2nd favorite activity). Thank you, Wag Watch, for giving Captain a home away from home.
Jason and Wag Watch are amazing! I know Archer (3yo lab retriever mix) loves it because everytime we walk by, he begs to to go inside and play with his friends, even if nobody is there! And when he does do a full day of daycare, he comes home happy and ready for a nap! Also, love their cameras so that I can peek in on how he's doing when I feel like stalking him.
Wag Days is amazing! My dog attended the 3-week puppy preschool and learned so much during his time there. The staff at Wag Days sent updates on his progress and tips on how we can practice at home. They truly care about all the pups that come through. We also love visiting for regular day care now that he has graduated. Couldn’t recommend way days enough!
Our dog started at Wag when she was about 5 months. It's been almost a year now and she can't get out the door fast enough to get to school. Nora and the staff really love the dogs as their own. I love watching the stories and seeing Holly playing with her friends throughout the day. Thank you so much for all the fun safe space you provide the dogs.
We started bringing our puppy to Wag Days last fall to help with her socialization (and get out some of her puppy energy!) and we couldn't be happier with the care she continues to receive. She has so much fun "going to see her friends" and does her excited dog dance when we get within a block of Wag. We love that she gets a mix of indoor and outdoor exercise, has access to enrichment through our membership, and is friendly with all dogs she comes across through the great socialization she gets at Wag. We've also used the home-based boarding and loved that she got to hangout with people she knew from going to Wag while we were away. I also appreciate getting photos of her during the day and being able to check what she and her friends are up to on the Wag Days instagram account. Can't recommend this place enough and feel lucky that it's located in South Philly!
We are a big fans of Wag Days! Our pup Olive is about 10 months now. We originally started with another puppy kindergarten class, and the trainers expressed their concerns with our pups play style -- they weren't sure if she would be a good fit for day care or the dog park. As experienced dog parents, this was really upsetting for us to hear, especially with such a young dog. We were determined to make sure she was properly socialized. My husband had won a free day at Wag in a raffle, and initially I was hesitant to redeem the offer because of the feedback we had. We reached out to Wag Days, explained everything, and they basically said, "We got you. Bring her down, lets have an eval and go from there". Long story short -- Olive crushed her puppy school training with them, has the best time ever at day care when she goes, plays well in the dog park, and has really great leash skills (with lots of treats, she is still a puppy after all). We have had such a great experience with Wag Days, and are really grateful for their help with our pup.
Our dog, Mo, absolutely loves going to Wag Days for daycare! She is basically dragging us to the door to go see her friends and comes home happy and tired from playing! We feel really comforted knowing that they love and care for our dog as much as we would! One of the best decisions we’ve ever made!
Wag Days is excellent for dog boarding and day care! I’ve been taking my dog for 3 years! My dog Biscuit LOVES playing (and getting attention), and they do an excellent job! I love that they give you tons of updates via Instagram and their portal about your dog at day care. I love seeing the enrichment activities they do - you can tell they really care about the dogs at day care! I cannot recommend them enough!
I only trust my pupper with Wag Days! In-home boarding that makes my doggo feel right at home, complete with photo updates while I'm away and lots of love and social time that leaves her completely exhausted when she gets home. Great daycare and dog walking services, too. Quick and flexible scheduling, professional and prompt communication. Highly, highly recommend! My pup LOVES her time with Wag Days, and I do too!
We (and our dog Bogey) are obsessed with Wag Days. They constantly send us pictures via email and also update their Instagram story throughout the day which is really great! Nora the owner is always very responsive if we have questions or concerns. We have also used Wag Days for boarding a couple of times and Bogey always returns happy and exhausted.
Our puppy Cooper did so well with Wag Days. Colby is an awesome trainer and I love all of the videos and pics they take of him during the day. Our pup picked up a tremendous amount of skills while refining some of what he already had in place. Can’t recommend Wag Days enough!
I literally cannot say enough about how wonderful Wag Days is. We have been taking our dog Charlie there for almost two years now & we have never had anything short of an amazing experience. Our pup sprints to daycare when we tell him that’s where he’s going & we feel so at ease knowing he’s happy there and having fun. The staff is amazing & gives frequent updates via pictures throughout the day. Your dog will come home tired & happy!
Rob is such a wonderful and caring dog sitter. Our dog Willa is leash reactive and Rob handles that very well (I wouldn't let just anyone walk her!) She has enjoyed long weekends and trips up to two weeks long. All the dogs that stay with Rob are so friendly and Willa always has a great time socializing (especially with resident pup Tito). I get great pictures and clear, consistent communication and calendar invites which is very important to me. Finally, Willa had a medical condition one time during a visit and Rob supported us through that, sending pictures, and making sure she could get to the vet and be seen. He is a great dog sitter and we are so grateful to have him in our neighborhood!
Rob has been watching my pup for over a week at a time for a few years now and we'll keep coming back even though we don't live very close by. Not only does he take good, personalized care (my dog loves to run and play and he takes her to the dog park all the time), but he's very organized which I appreciate so much! As a detail oriented person, I really appreciate that Rob has clear pricing, transparent scheduling, sends pictures daily, takes notes when you tell him about your dog, and communicates promptly. He's clear, reliable, and responsible in a way that most other dogsitters - who may otherwise be wonderful - aren't, and shows his trustworthiness. He's also so accommodating to changes and when we're running late.
Rob is an absolutely fantastic boarder and dog walker. We have been working with Rob for many months, including taking frequent 1-2 week long trips out of town, and leaving our precious 8 year old pitbull with Rob. The boarding environment is wholesome and extremely fun and enriching for our dog. And Rob is very available, communicative, and has even graciously accommodated unexpected changes in our plans due to flight cancellations. Being able to leave your beloved pet behind for any length of time without a single worry over their well-being is a priceless service that Rob provides for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this pet care service to anyone.
We’ve been taking our dog to Rob since he was a puppy. Rob was very accommodating to his extra puppy needs and energy. Even as an adult our dog doesn’t tire out easily and Rob makes sure to give him plenty of exercise, runs, and trips to the dog park. We mostly use Rob for boarding/overnights and our dog LOVES hanging out at Rob’s house and with the other dogs he watches. Rob has also been accommodating with medication and our dog having to wear an ear protective hat occasionally. The photo and video updates make our day when we’re away! Highly recommend Rob!!
Rob is the best dog sitter around. He takes the time to really understand a dog's personality and needs and becomes their best friend quickly! My dog looks forward to her walks and play time with Rob and the other dogs. She is not the easiest dog sometimes, and Rob understands her and makes sure she has playtime in a safe way. Rob is a true gem of a dog sitter and my dog and I are so lucky that we found him. I cannot recommend him enough!
Rob is a fantastic caregiver for our 80lb pup. He is reliable, friendly, and professional. We have used him both for dog walking and for boarding, and he has become one of our dog's favorite people to see walking around the park and neighborhood.
Rob has been the greatest dog sitter I’ve tried! My little but super energetic dog always loves to play and be occupied with something! Not only does Rob keep her great company but also most of the time my little pup get to enjoy the company of other dogs as well. Rob takes her every day at the park to run and play with other dogs, which is a huge +. I am very satisfied and always at ease when I’m away and my little Cleo stays with him! Totally recommend.
Rob takes amazing care of our pup when boarding. He even goes above and beyond and takes my pup to the local dog park to run him out. Also my pup has bonded with Rob’s dog Tito and so he gets to not only play outside at the dog park but gets to play inside all day with Tito. When I pick him up, he’s super satisfied and tired for days. Can’t recommend rob enough!
Rob is the best and most reliable dog walker in the city! He has been walking my pups for 4 years and is super flexible and accommodating with my work schedule. He sends pictures for every walk and is super responsive! He has even given my pups medicine when needed and has even provided cat care. Highly recommend having Rob as your pets new best friend!
Rob is great! Our dog loves going to Rob's and it is our favorite place to send him while we are out of town. Rob communicates excellently and took the time to get to know Howie and make sure he is comfortable. Strongly recommend.
Hands down the best place for dog daycare! All of the staff are so kind and considerate, I know my pup is getting only the best care. He loves it and never wants to leave!
The absolute best! Our dog was very shy when we first adopted him, but Alley and the staff always ensured he felt comfortable. Thanks to The Dog Alley, he's really come out of his shell! Now, he can't wait to socialize with all his friends there. The staff is incredibly caring and fun—they even threw him a little birthday party! 💜 …
Being a first time dog owner, I was very anxious leaving my puppy Mango at a new place. Ally and her staff were wonderful and answered all of my questions! For the first day, I constantly checked their Instagram as they post throughout the day so you can see how your dog is doing. It definitely eased a lot of my worries. I now feel so comfortable leaving Mango in their hands as I know he will be taken care of. He is also so excited to go every week. I could tell how much they love him as he always rushes in and wags his whole body! They also host the cutest events which I haven't seen other daycares do. I really love this place!
In response to "SolarxXxEclipse", you are not nor never will be an employee of The Dog Alley. Your significant other, Alexis, WAS as she has since quit due to her own actions: As the most recent Dog Alley manager whom left on maternity leave, and was employed for about 2 years, everything this person is saying is false. Your "awful experience" was of you and your significant other/ex-employees own faults. Bruno's dad entrusted you to care for his dog while he was out of state and instead you failed to communicate with him and he saw his dog's tracker ping him almost 3 hours away and, rightfully, was upset. You were told he was not to stay at daycare for a full day for a perfectly valid reason of it's too much for him, so why would you bring him to a dog park? Also, why couldn't the dog park be IN THE CITY?? As a dog walker/pet sitter outside of being employed at Dog Alley myself, what you do as a sitter/walker is not linked with the daycare itself. If you upset a client as bad as you two had, it's on you - not Ally nor the daycare. There's a reason why only certain people can and cannot watch/walk dogs outside of the daycare and you both showed why you are not responsible enough to care for clients who attend the daycare. Ally has always defended her employees, and even tried to mediate this situation, which I give her major props for because you two did not deserve that in the slightest. Never has she told someone to "glue their eye shut" from an accident within the daycare and has on multiple occasions has rushed to the daycare to make sure you go to urgent care even if it was something small and did not need medical attention. The website has since had the walks taken off the website and clients were informed since early spring of 2023 that walks were not a definite everyday due to the peanut butter flavoured rat poison being sprinkled in the parks and the walk routes, but also because of the crazies that came from Center City and have caused our dogs stress from interactions they had coming in with their own parents. On top of that, new clients are reassured their dogs are allowed to use the bathroom inside which is the reason for the type of flooring - as not every dog is allowed to be walked due to the owners discretion because of leash reactivity or them able to escape their leashes (if Alexis even cared to check the "do not walk" list.) She also had easy access to the emails both I and Ally had sent to new clients that we walk them, but only when we are able. The only time "punishments" were received on the employees is when it was deserved. Which it seems yours was considering you weren't even fired for the stunt you pulled, which yes you QUIT because of your own stupidity, and were told you could no longer watch dogs that attended the daycare. A dog daycare isn't for everyone and not everyone can handle a high energy, fast paced job that keeps you on your toes and you must be consistently responsible for others four-legged family members, which is exactly the reason why Alexis did not work out. I trained multiple employees during my employment and have witnessed it first hand. Any "shocking" video footage has been shown to parents even when it is not asked. Not sure where you were going with this one. Ally, her husband, and the Dog Alley pup handlers have gone above and beyond for Old City pup parents, and even parents from out of state visiting for a day or two. I highly recommend, along with the many other parents who have posted about their dogs play days here, Dog Alley even if it is just a once a month treat for your dog. Also, if you check his previous reviews, you can see most, if not all, are reviews of places he's been fired from. Edit: I left in December of 2023 :) I worked there for two years if you knew how to read correctly. I also still visit quite often with my son so I do know what goes on! As Ally is considered Aunt Ally to my child, though you wouldn't know that because you don't work there. Thanks though!!
The Dog Alley is hands down the absolute best. Ally, Steven, Dayli, and the team love on all of the dogs so much. It’s obvious any time you drop off or pick up your doggo. Bruno loves meeting his Alley friends when out and about in the neighborhood too. If you’re in need of a dog daycare in Old City or Society Hill, there shouldn’t be a question on where to trust your pup.
The owner is so kind and accommodating and she truly cares for the dogs. She goes above and beyond for her clients and their beloved fur babies. I have a giant Great Dane who is quirky and not the easiest to handle. Yet she easily connects with him and has him on her lap in no time. He loves spending time with her and I know he’s in good hands. He is always so happy to see her!
LOVE! We were nervous dropping our 4 & 5 lb puppies off at the dog alley for the first time. Our dogs are very very anxious and it takes a lot of patience & kindness to fall in love with them… Luckily, there was nothing to worry about! Our girls play at the dog alley alllll day every day! Ally does a great job of having friendly. gentle, kind & happy staff who clearly love dogs and their jobs! There’s a consistent staff too so your pups will always see familiar faces! They post photos on instagram so you can see your dogs are doing great during the day! Ally does a great job with her monthly theme days too! You want someone to love your puppies and keep them safe and happy while you aren’t with them. We trust the dog alley completely! It’s been an amazing experience! 🩷🩷🩷
I can’t share more great things about this daycare, the owner Ally, the staff - all of it!! My dog Oakley RUNS to the door every time we are close to a point I have to be careful not to slip and fall. They treat their dogs as family and it’s very clear. My pup had an episode of aspiration pneumonia that set on at daycare and Ally was so quick to catch something was off with him and rushed him to the animal hospital herself until I could meet her - the hospital saying it’s the quickest they’ve ever seen it caught. He just recently got a herniated disc at home and Ally gave me her personal dog stroller to borrow so he could go out on walks. Both of these incidents she has checked up on how he is feeling and made sure he is recovering, multiple times. A daycare that truly cares and treats their pups as one of their own. Couldn’t imagine taking my dog to any other place - I drive 15-20 mins in the opposite direction from my work both ways because of how happy he is to be there. Using The Dog Alley has given me a whole community and I couldn’t be more grateful. 10/10 recommend!! + pic of my guy with his frenchie gang for tax ❤️
My dog Theo went here for daycare from July 2022 up until last week when we moved. When looking for a daycare near the new place, I already knew we were spoiled with the Dog Alley but after seeing other daycares, it reallllly sank in. The Dog Alley staff treat your dog like he was their own, very personable and professional, communicative, honest, and Theo would always come home smelling sooo good! Which really speaks to how clean the space is. They have tons of cute holiday parties and events for the pups and they always take the best pictures. This makes a difference when you don't get to spend as much time with your pup during the week but you know they're being well cared for and have plenty of cute pictures for keepsake. I can't thank the Dog Alley enough for taking such good care of Theo and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a doggy daycare. We miss the Dog Alley already!
The Babies love Aunt Ally’s puppycare playtime palace. They have the best time playing with all their dog friends , new and old. Even though their the littlest of pups they play like the big dogs and always feel safe bc Aunt Ally and her friends (staff) are always around to keep watch and play with too. They enjoy watching fun animals on the tv before nap time and treat time and walk time and all time spent doing the zoomies at pupcare. If Momma would allow they’d walk themselves to pupcare as they know exactly where it is and can’t wait to go! Momma loves how clean and nice the pupcare is always kept and how friendly the staff is and so knowledgeable about each dog. We have allergies to a lot of food and Aunt Ally always has our special treats just for us. Momma knows we always want to go play at pupcare bc we are guaranteed a safe , fun, clean environment with our doggy friends. We love The Dog Alley!!🐾🐾
Amanda is fantastic!! I’ve booked her a few times to watch my kitties for when I’m away on trips. She is always on time, reliable, and keeps me updated on her visits. Amanda gives a thorough report after her visits on their feeding habits, mood, playtime, and much more (with adorable pics). Her visits have given me peace at mind while I’m away, which I’ll definitely continue to book with her. Thanks for taking great care of my babies :)
My cat (Abby) is very attached to me after my other cat passed. I hadn’t left her alone for about 9 months because I was just super nervous about making her feel sad and lonely. Which means I haven’t been able to travel. But I finally decided to reach out to someone so I can establish care with a new sitter. I found Amanda very easily after a quick Google search and contacted her. She got in touch with me right away, which soon led to a meet and great. She was very nice and Abby took to her right away. She asked all the right questions, and answered all of my (neurotic lol) questions with patience and understanding. I got a good vibe from her so I booked a weekend to try it out. I had her stay the whole weekend with Abby, and she was definitely at my place most of the time. She let me know when she was going out and when she was returning. It really gave me peace of mind. She sent me lots of updates and welcomed me to reach out as much as I wanted because she understood how nervous I was being away from my cat. When I got home Abby was very chill and happy, and my apartment was how I left it. There was even a small thing with my terrible landlord and she handled it with complete professionalism and patience. I would definitely have her stay with Abby again, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for pet care.
Amanda took amazing care of our three dogs during an overseas vacation. She took great care of our dogs as well as our house, sending multiple pictures and updates of each dog every day. We had no concerns while we were away. We would highly recommend Panda's Petsitting to anyone searching for dog walker or sitter!
Can’t talk highly enough about Amanda & her business. Not only is she phenomenal with our temperamental, reactive pitty but she is also reliable and communicative. She was happy to work with our family and come for visits a few times before we left her with our dog & when she watched our girl, she always provided us with an overview of her visit, photo updates, and cares to follow up even after we are home to make sure our dog adjusted. Amanda has given us such peace of mind when we are away, which used to never be the case.
Amanda was a godsend when my dog sitter canceled their sit while i was out of town. She did great with communication, my pets and was just wonderful. Recommend.
Amanda is an incredible pet sitter! She is a former vet tech which helps me feel so much more comfortable leaving my older pets who need medications. She always gives regular updates with lots of pictures which is very comforting. So happy to have found her!
I recommend Amanda for any pet sitting needs. It’s clear that Amanda takes pride in her company and the services that she provides. She’s communicative and thorough. When I’m away from home I have complete trust that Amanda will care for my cat family. And they all seem to be as happy as can be when I return, all thanks to Amanda’s great care.
Amanda was great with my two cats. I was away for 9 days and had Amanda come over in the mornings to feed and give the cats some attention. Amanda gave me detailed updates and photos everyday about my cats' behavior and habits and really helped keep my mind at ease while I was away. From her updates I could tell that my cats loved having Amanda around! I came back to find my cats happy and ready to fall back in our normal routine. Amanda did a great job and I will definitely use her services again when I travel.
Amanda is great. We recommend her for your pet(s) and we already hired her for another sit! Amanda cared for our cat while we were away for a week. It was our first time leaving our cat, so we were nervous. Amanda set our minds at ease with daily communication that included updates, photos, and videos. I also felt reassured by Amanda's vet tech experience. She is very knowledgeable and I knew that if anything went wrong, our cat would be in capable hands with Amanda there!
Amanda is beyond wonderful! We have a very sweet and loving cat who adores me and my partner but is scared of anyone except us, so finding someone we trust to care for her can be a challenge. Amanda came over for a meet & greet and really took the time to listen about our cat and her responsibilities. She also asked terrific questions and thought of everything in the Google Form we completed before her visits. While we were away, Amanda communicated updates via text, including when she arrived, pictures, and details of everything she did during the visit. Despite our cat being very scared of other people, Amanda did a great job interacting with her, aware that she is very timid, all while completing her tasks. Her updates are extremely thorough, and she went above and beyond and put us at ease so we didn't have to worry about our little cat while we were out of town. She is definitely the best cat sitter we have ever had! She is diligent, compassionate, communicative, and really cares about animals. I would absolutely recommend her!
The Owner Don truly cares about all the dogs in his business. I am a colleague of his and had contact over a mutual client. Don is professional, passionate about what he does and receptive. Most importantly, he is open minded (they say the only thing 2 trainers agree on is what the 3rd is doing wrong 😆) As a fellow trainer and kennel owner, just based off of today's interaction, I would absolutely endorse his program.
The Towne Barker is awesome! The owner truly loves dogs and takes great care of all who spend time with him. He is also a great trainer - My dog was older and only had a couple basic skills- Don had him doing a new skill in under 20 minutes of working with him! I highly recommend this place!
Our dogs love going to the Towne Barker - they can’t wait to get to “camp” everyday. Afterwards, they always come home happy and tired. Don’s expertise has really helped to train our very energetic puppy. Don is the best and really does treat each dog as if they were his own. Towne Barker is the only place we trust with our dogs and I would highly recommend it to any dog owner!
We've been leaving our dog with Don since they were at the old location in Northern Liberties. He's super flexible with time and even payments. Towne Barker is way cheaper than all the other dog daycares I looked at in the area. Our dog comes home tires and chill after being there and he's very friendly with our dog and even me as a customer. I would definitely recommend the Towne Barker if you need a place for you dog to hang and play while you're at work.
We love this place! Don treats every dog like it's his own. The prices are great, the place is clean and my dog loves being dropped off there to play with his friends. When I visit the city I love knowing that my dog is taken care of by someone we trust. Don is best! I highly recommend.
My dog Ringo has seizures and needs a lot of care (plus medication 4 times a day). Don does a fantastic job with him and Ringo always comes home happy and even better behaved than normal! I recommend the towne barker to all dog owners. The boarding service is also great!
Friendly owner who will love your pet like his own. My Buster loves to play with friends here!
We love The Towne Barker!! I feel absolutely confident leaving my pup here knowing she is loved and taken good care of! She loves going, obviously has a great time, and we never have trouble with her missing us! The humans there are pretty awesome too! LOL
Took my dog here after my previous doggy daycare closed due to Covid. The pups have a more structured day, with both physical and mental exercise. You can tell Don really cares about these dogs (and the fact that he is a certified dog trainer is definitely a bonus)!
Bottom Line - STAY AWAY! I went out to check out the Town Barker facilities with my dog. I was considering boarding him for the weekend, and the owner suggested that I come out so he could evaluate my dog and have me sign some paperwork. I have a small dog (20 lb) male terrier mix. Upon entering the store, I gagged at the smell and had to fight the urge to vomit. The place smelled horribly of feces and urine! Giving him the benefit of doubt I continued into the store. He welcomed me, and then gave me a form to sign, a release from harm form. There were at least a dozen dogs inside a gated area. Of course they were "exited" at a new dogs arrival and were barking and actively running to and fro in their enclosed area. When my dog was brought into the area he was immediately surrounded and terrified. Don was with him and was trying to introduce him to the pack, but even I know that dogs are territorial and the proper way to introduce dogs is to do it on neutral ground. When I asked Don what the daily routine was for the dogs, when he walked them, played with them, he stated he did not do any of those things. He said they get "free play" all day long and he just watches them. They are not walked or exercised during the day and are allowed to defecate and urinate in the room! This is certainly not a habit I want my dog to learn! He then asked if I signed the release? I told him no, that I would not be needing his services, and thanked him for his time
Doggie VIP is the best! We have been with Doggie VIP since our dog Teddy was a puppy. He is a big dog and now that the Riverwalk location is open he has so much room to run around and play!! We love the staff and how much they love Teddy!! We get the best pictures throughout the day. We appreciate them so much! Thank you for everything you do!
My dog seems to love her time at Doggie VIP! She looks comfortable and happy in every photo they send. They send many photos a day so you can keep up with your pup, and see that they’re doing well which is so appreciated. She also comes home smelling nice and clean from her exit bath.
My golden doodle has been going to Doggie VIP since he was 4 mos. I highly recommend Doggie VIP - the staff is amazing and take such good care of my pup. I never worry about him during the work day. They have a great play area & send the cutest updates of my pup throughout the day!
We love sending our Corgi to Doggie VIP at Riverwalk! She always comes home happy, tired, and ready for snuggles. My wife and I have work schedules that are constantly changing and revolve around our kids. The fact that Doggie VIP is so flexible with scheduling and happy to accommodate makes this a must for dog owners! They take great care of her and are very attentive to her IBD restrictions. The photos they send us throughout the day show what a fun time our dog is having and that is what’s most important!
We love Doggie VIP (Riverwalk location). Our dog has a lot of separation anxiety, so It is always tough to find a place to leave him. At Doggie VIP, they made him feel comfortable from the start. We could tell they truly cared about him. They often send us pictures throughout his visit which reassures us that he is fine and enjoying himself! They update us when he’s received his meds/meals. We also use their grooming services and love how good he smells after. We even accidentally made a grooming appointment at the wrong location, and they still worked around their schedule to get him in the same day. The staff is wonderful, the building is nice/brand new, and their prices are very reasonable for the area.
Doggie VIP takes care of our dog like she is their own. They are so accommodating and flexible if ever we need to add a day morning of. I have young kids and they happily bring our dog to my car if needed. Highly recommend sending your dog to Doggie VIP!
I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved dog, Daisy, to Doggie VIP, and I couldn't be happier with the care she received! From start to finish, this premier dog care facility exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff at Doggie VIP demonstrated an unparalleled level of professionalism, warmth, and expertise. They truly understand the needs and preferences of every furry guest. Daisy was greeted with genuine affection and made to feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One aspect that impressed me the most was the daily photo updates I received. Each day, I eagerly checked my inbox to find the most adorable snapshots of Daisy enjoying her time at Doggie VIP. These pictures not only reassured me of her well-being but also allowed me to witness the joy and happiness she experienced during her stay. Moreover, the facilities at Doggie VIP are top-notch. Clean, spacious, and designed with dogs' comfort in mind, it's evident that every detail has been carefully considered. Daisy had access to a variety of stimulating activities, including play sessions and interactive toys, ensuring she remained engaged and entertained throughout her stay. The care provided by the Doggie VIP team extended beyond the physical. They also paid close attention to Daisy's dietary needs and administered any necessary medications with precision. It was evident that her health and well-being were their top priorities, and I felt confident that she was in capable hands. I cannot recommend Doggie VIP enough for anyone seeking exceptional care for their furry family members. Whether you need daycare or boarding services, this establishment goes above and beyond. The adorable daily photos were the cherry on top, allowing me to feel connected to Daisy even while we were apart. Thank you, Doggie VIP, for taking such incredible care of Daisy! You have earned my trust, and I will undoubtedly be returning for future pet care needs.
Our dog loves going to Doggie VIP at Riverwalk! She gets so excited when she sees we’re walking towards the front door. She comes home happy and tired from a great day at daycare. They’re flexible with scheduling, which is great for my husband and I’s different work schedules. The staff’s super friendly and always sends the cutest pictures to update my husband and I throughout the day. We absolutely love sending our dog to Doggie VIP!
I’m SO glad I found Doggie VIP. My dog has been in daycare for years, but after some bad experiences at his previous one we needed to find care fast. We reached out to Doggie VIP because we needed somewhere that grouped by size. I knew right away that this place was different when I learned their assessment before joining is 4 hours, not the standard 20 minutes. This is just one example of how well they know dogs because so many dogs, especially if they’ve had a bad experience, need more than 20 minutes to warm up to a new place. Obie has been there for a couple weeks now and we couldn’t be happier! The facility is big and the dogs have great toys to play with, they send pictures throughout the day, and most importantly my dog runs in tail wagging every morning. They’re also super easy to communicate with via text, just as an added bonus. Highly recommend!
5 stars across the board!!! Doggie VIP is THE best boarding & daycare in Philly!! We've been using them for almost two years now and we've never encountered any issues or concerns. Antoine the manager is AMAZING, professional and caring! Our dog LOVES coming here - it shows in all the pics they share with us while we are away!! Again, they are the best!!
I could go on forever about how much Tails & Ales has meant to me and my dog, Captain. Paige and Ryan truly care for every dog as their own. They pour their hearts into making sure each pup has a great experience while keeping their humans updated throughout the day. They are flexible, dependable, professional, compassionate, and the biggest dog lovers I have ever met. I simply cannot imagine life in Philly without them! I absolutely recommend T&A to anyone looking for high-quality pet care from high-quality people.
Tails and Ales is great! We had to take our 5 month old goldendoodle to Tails and Ales for daycare and overnight boarding for the first time. Paige provided updates and pictures throughout the day, and our pup loved being in their house and playing with the other dogs. Since it was his first night away from our house, he was barking at night and couldn't go to sleep, so Paige comforted him at 4:30 AM and let us know how he was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to take our pup there again for day care, and I highly recommend them!
Tales & Ales is the BEST. I have used them for daycare as well as boarding. I am so grateful for Paige & Ryan who provide the best care for my Lily who is a sensitive pup who requires love and affection. As a rescue pup, Lily can have separation anxiety and can sometimes have anxiety in new situations. Paige & Ryan made sure she had a great first day and ever since Lily runs towards them when she gets picked up ...the tail wags a hundred miles a minute and she doesn't even say "bye Mom". I feel like I'm giving Lily a vacation when I send her to Tales & Ales :-) They are also very reliable and always accommodating.
My fur babies, Arlo and Coco, are regulars at Tails & Ales. We have used them for daycare and also boarding. Paige and Ryan are not only accommodating and reliable, they are practically second parents to my babies. They will truly care for your dog as if your pup is their own. We are always kept in the loop with cute pictures, bowel habits (every dog owner knows how important this is, and everything in between. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are, but I’ll leave it at this — we are forever grateful to T&A for loving our dogs as much as we do.
Doggie daycare with Paige and Ryan has been the best thing ever for our pup Cody! He is super energetic and it has helped him blow of some steam and learn to settle with other dogs. Paige and Ryan are extremely thoughtful, accommodating and knowledgeable about dog training/behavior. They are great at checking in with us throughout the day and we never have to worry about Cody when he is there. Thank you thank you tails and ales! We would be much more stressed without you in our lives!
Paige&Ryan were fantastic. Our almost 2 year old rambunctious goldendoodle stayed with them for a long weekend. They sent perfectly detailed updates right when you needed them the most. And he definitely got the exercise, stimulation and cuddles he is used to if not more! (Been sleeping since we got home). Will use Tails and Ales again.
Amazing!!! I could not praise Ryan and Paige more. Not only was my pup Bentley completely comfortable but I felt comfortable the whole time and was able to fully enjoy my time away. From their quick responses to my inquiries, to sharing his day to day activity, having all the supplies he needed (only having to bring food) and even dropping my dog off at the end of his stay, I could not ask for more. I will continue to use them for my boarding needs and would recommend them to anyone.
Well, it's the safest, warmest, gentlest place for a pet I'd ever seen or trusted your pets are in great hands. The owner treats me like a son .
Incredibly happy I found Steven and his wife. Had not left my senior Labrador in anyone else's care for nearly 7 years basically because I didn't trust anyone. Knew from our meet & greet that my guy would essentially be on a vacation and receive the care & attention he needs. Grateful about every aspect of his stay. Thank you!
Our Home Dog Boarding is the best "cage-less" kennel care your pet will receive. I boarded my dog with one of the sponsor families and she was absolutely wonderful. The process is easy. Steve will set you up with a meet and greet with the family who is approved by Steven himself, if all goes well you set the date and drop off your dog and his/her things to the host. I've boarded my dog several times and have never had an issues at all. Such a great concept and very affordable.
So very highly recommended. The personal attention and care Stephen and his team of people (especially Diane) that open their homes to my dog is above and beyond expectations. My dog has fairly severe separation anxiety and Stephen has the patience to understand him and our situation and accommodate and care for him in so many ways that make him comfortable. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my child is with people that understand, appreciate him and work hard to make him as comfortable as possible. He and his team are true dog lovers and understanders; consistently and thankfully accommodating to my and my dogs personal situation. I very highly recommend!
I met Steve Linn when I had a rather old, very sick Brittany. I had previously used Lakeside Kennels for years, but I did not want to leave him there to go on a long vacation when he became ill. I saw a business card that Steve had posted on a message board at my gym. I called him and started interviewing some of Steve's dog hosts. We found a perfect place with a host who did older dogs and took them on many short walks a day and spent the rest of his time at home with all the dog beds lying in front of him. It was the perfect place for my dog. Unfortunately Zeke has gone to the rainbow bridge. Now I have Elvis a 2 1/2 year old Brittany. I have left him with two different hosts at Christmas and have been very happy with both experiences. I wouldn't consider leaving him anywhere else. Now Steve is making mailboxes with your dog's face and body surrounding it. This mailbox is a big hit with my family and all my family and neighbors who have seen it. I am sure you will find a picture of it on Steve website. It is the one with the gorgeous orange brittany on it.
I cannot say enough great things about this service. Dianne (Grandma) was fantastic. The fact that a meet and greet with your dog before you leave them is very comforting as it gave me peace of mind knowing ahead of time that our Maggie would be happy there. The process from start to finish was easy and efficient. Did not have to wait for responses to inquiries. Just wished Grandma lived next door, such a lovely person.
Both Rhett Butler and I are thoroughly enjoying your service! I can see the difference in him when I pick him up from the boarders (Kim and Diane). He is carefree. In the past as much as I liked the service I used; when I picked him up he was anxious and it was apparent that he'd been over licking his forearms. When I travel I don't even worry about him now. I have peace of mind. Thank you!
Bentley loves visiting for both day care and boarding!!
