Cung was a wonderful cat sitter and housesitter and we would happily invite him back again. He was excellent with our cats and sent plenty of photos, and also left the house impeccably clean. We had to come back a day early and so we got to spend some time with him which we enjoyed as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!
We were very lucky to have had Nia for our recent house sit. She communicated well before the sit and arrived as planned. We shared a meal before we left which gave us time to get to know her and tell her about the house and our pets. After we left it soon became clear the cats loved Nia and the attention she gave them. We were kept informed throughout her stay with regular updates and video clips of what they were up to and how the garden was growing etc. We highly recommend Nia as a pet/house sitter and we would certainly have her back should the opportunity arise. Thanks again Nia
I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.
Best house and pet sitters we've ever had! They definitely gave our cat and dog plenty of love and attention.
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
I highly recommend Daniel as a pet sitter and house sitter! He took care of Pipa for over three months this winter and did an outstanding job. From the first day, it was clear that he had a genuine love for animals and a great deal of experience with pets. He was very attentive to his needs and always made sure he was comfortable, well-fed, and had plenty of playtime. In addition to his pet-sitting duties, Daniel also went above and beyond by processing my postal mail and keeping the house well-organized. He was very responsible and reliable, always arriving on communicating, putting the bins out, and watering the plants on time, and keeping me updated with photos and messages. I felt completely at ease knowing that my cat was in such good hands and that my home was well-cared for while I was away. When I returned from my trip, Pipa was happy, healthy, and well-adjusted, thanks to Daniel's excellent care. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet and house sitter!
Catherine was a wonderful sitter for our 17 year old cat Zabba. She sent us pictures twice a day and kept us informed about Zabba’s daily activities. We came home to a clean home and would definitely recommend her as a pet/ house sitter. My only concern was that she doesn’t drive and with an older cat, I just prayed that Zabba didn’t need to go to the vet…. And he didn’t 🥰. We will ask her again for sure.
Karen was able to step in a sit for me on short notice after another sitter canceled. She was very thorough and communicative and I felt I had left my apartment and cats in good hands with her. I came home to a clean apartment and happy cats. I definitely recommend Karen as a sitter.
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!
Kathy and Ron are the most accommodating sitters you will ever find. At my request they arrived a few days early and also made it clear they would be willing to extend their stay as needed. While at first they were a little uneasy about giving pills to our cat Sparky, they soon got the hang of it and did an excellent job caring for both cats even though the cats have very different schedules and needs. Kathy was great about keeping in touch with us and we knew they would be just fine for the several days when we were out of communication range. I would gladly invite Ron and Kathy back anytime and highly recommend them to you for your next getaway!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?

The groomers are so wonderful! My sweet dog has severe anxiety and the first time there she destroyed a drying kennel and tried to tear the tub from the wall. I felt so bad but those ladies were so kind about it. We paid for the damage of course and I was so surprised that they had no hesitation having her back. They accommodate her personality and she still goes every 10 weeks with no further issues. They are so friendly there and I understand why they are always so busy, definitely the best groomers I've met.
I was nervous to board my German Shepherd while I went on vacation because I was afraid his separation anxiety would flare up again. He seemed very content and well taken care of when I picked him up. The Pet Palace also accommodated my GSD with moving him to a indoor/outdoor run as soon as one became available. I was pleased with the service and care, as well as the price. Will definitely be returning in the future.
My husband and I brought our dogs here to be boarded while we lived in the area and it has been by far the best dog boarding experience we’ve had. We had a bad experience with a previous boarder and the staff at Bitterroot Pet Palace did everything they could to ease our worries. They took incredible care of our babies and one of the staff even sent me near daily picture updates of them while there. If we still lived in the area, this would be the only boarder we’d use! Highly highly recommend!
I have only utilized the dog grooming services and the groomers here rock! They take such good care of my reluctant dog. Their facility is clean. And their prices are reasonable. They are so friendly and truly love the animals. Must book far, far in advance because they are always full!
I dropped my 2 dogs off and they've never been boarded before. It broke my heart off to leave them for the weekend but as soon as I saw the personalized service I was instantly relieved. Niki was there to greet us and then I was shown where they would be. When I arrived to pick them up they were in great shape. All in all it was great for them and me to get away for awhile. I will use them again and I recommend them highly. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't smell like a kennel. It was super clean and highly Pythagoras. A+
It's always hard to leave your pets, but I never feel anxious when I drop them off at Bitterroot Pet Palace! The owners are amazing and the employees are simply just delightful people. They always remember my pups and go out of their way to make sure I'm feeling good about their visit. So glad to have found them!!
Our dogs all love the groomers here, and they do fantastic work. A year ago, our dogs caught the business end of a skunk and needed a major bath. They got me in that same morning and did a great job getting rid of the skunk odor. We rescued a dog from a neglectful home and he came to us covered in mats and in desperate need of a haircut and bath. Even though they were booked up, they made an exception worked him into their schedule because of his situation. They truly care about the animals that come to them, and they take excellent care of them. We've boarded our dogs here, and with our past experiences with the people at the Pet Palace, we knew our dogs were in good hands.
We love these folks. And our 2 big (78 and 65 pounds) puppies (8 months), love this place. Always excited when they arrive. And a great value for the price. And the ladies who run the place are great. Friendly, professional, sweet and obviously love animals. Our new favorite "dog hotel" when needed.
Our dogs, Cassie and Lily, stayed here for the first time for about 9 days last month and we’re very happy about how things went. Sarah called us several days in to let us know she had a coughing dog in the kennel and she was working with the owners to remove it in the event the dog was contagious (kennel cough or another virus). She let us know our dogs were doing fine but she would get in touch if anything changed, and she provided a brief update on our dogs. She could have simply flown under the radar on this and called us only if our dogs had symptoms, but she did the best/right thing and gave us a heads up. She nailed it. Sarah and another staff member made a point to tell us how sweet and polite our dogs were. I thought maybe they had our dogs confused with someone else’s. It’s always great to get compliments on your kids’ behavior from strangers. What a relief to know they are only Little Monsters at home. 😆
I was a customer of Bitterroot pet palace when the old owner owned the company. My experience with him was NOT great. Each time we'd pick out dogs up, they smelled like urine. My dogs also contracted kennel cough while he owned the facility, and were treated without our knowledge with an over the counter cough suppressant. He also often would tell us that our dogs didn't get to access the large yard because they wouldn't listen to him when he wanted to come inside, and that was THEIR problem, not his. He "doesn't play that game". When we found out the Pet Palace sold, we were VERY excited, and thrilled to meet the new owner. Right away, Sarah was AMAZING. We often traveled on the weekends, returning on Sundays. If we were every running a couple minutes behind, or cutting it close to closing time, Sarah ALWAYS offered to stay so we could still pick our dogs up. They no longer smell like urine when we pick them up after being boarded, nor have they had another issue with Kennel Cough. Furthermore, one of our dogs was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. Sarah and her ENTIRE team has been AMAZING at going above and beyond for us. She accommodates our schedule, when she doesn't have to, AT ALL, which is a HUGE help. We have been dropping our dog off with her at day care for the team, while he gets used to his seizure meds, which can take a little while. Whenever I call, whoever answers give me updates, and makes sure they answers all of my questions regarding his status. Tracy, Sarah, Julie, they're all AMAZING, and do a WONDERFUL job at monitoring our dog giving me updates regarding his status. They also let both of our dogs out into the big yard, so they can run off some of their energy and have said they don't have any issues, that dogs will be dogs and it's OK. I seriously cannot say enough how happy we are with her being the new owner, and we will continue to take our dogs to her for any needs that we have. From daycare, to boarding, I trust them ALL with our dogs, no matter what.
Agility with Natasha is the highlight of our week. Her classes are fun and expertly conducted, each week with a new course and set of skills. All breeds of dogs are accepted and encouraged to succeed. Natasha relates equally to every dog and they all love her. The amount of knowledge she has is amazing and she imparts it so easily and clearly. I highly recommend her as the best!!
Over the course of four years, I've taken my two dogs from beginner to intermediate agility with Natasha. I thoroughly appreciate her passion for and knowledge of agility as well as her upbeat informal instruction style. Her love of dogs shines through every interaction with them. She always encourages me and others regardless of our abilities. She is supportive of those of us who aren't interested in competing and simply take classes as a wonderful, fun way of bonding with our dogs.
Natasha is excellent at evaluating a dog's personality and reactions, and helping you to work better as a team, regardless of your venue. Her knowledge as a veterinary technician is so helpful for answering questions or helping with at-home treatment/recuperation.
We (dog & I) have taken many classes with Natasha. ABC (puppy training) Nose Work, Agility, Yappy Trails (hiking) and Can I Have It to name a few. Always informative, reliable and fun, fun, FUN!
Natasha is an awesome trainer. She is training both me and my pup quite well.
We have been boarding with Ms. Kathy for over 15 years, past kitty and doggie. We now board our BIG Golden Retriever and he gets excited if we go toward where she lives if we pass a certain turn in the road. He knows it is play time! I trust her with my babies without question.
Kathy runs an outstanding facility and cares for our 4 dogs frequently. They actually know when we get close and get quite excited. They love Kathy, and as she is a professional vet tech, we know they will be well cared for should a health issue arise. Great camp four our four legged kids.
Cathy is super nice, but this facility just doesn't work for me or my dog. In the winter, be prepared for mud everywhere - on YOU and your dog. The dogs bark and bark and bark at you while you walk to the door and once your inside. It is headache inducing. She does a great job at grooming and she clearly loves dogs. But we just can't deal with the rest of it.
Clark's Canine Camp is our go-to whenever we need our dogs to be groomed, boarded, or for our frequent doggy day care! Kathy, the owner, is professional, knowledgeable, caring, an truly loves ALL the dogs in her care. My wife, Sandy Gates, would probably lose her mind without Kathy's help. Our 4 yr old Standard Poodle is a special needs dog with a crazy personality and Kathy completely "gets" him! Her facility is clean and comfortable for the dogs and kitties who are with her. And how many dog boarding facilities would cook turkey and mashed potatoes for the animals in her care for Thanksgiving, have doggy campouts in her back yard, make Christmas presents to give to the furbabies, and keep the peace in the pack. Thank you, Kathy, for all you do for us, Rio, and Panda Bear!
Kathy is my dog angel. She knows my dogs, loves them, cares for them. She is an amazing groomer too. She has a giant fenced area for the dogs to play as much as they want, toys galore even a "room" for the dogs to lounge. She is the best!
Are you kidding. I have taken my dogs there for years. I am planning on taking my 11 year old lab there for a week and I know she will be the best of the best. I chose not to have my girls, who are animal lovers, take care of him because I know this is the best place for my lover boy.
My pets haven't ever stayed at a kennel before. I felt comfortable leaving them in the doggie den/home setting. The dogs seemed content.
Jack loves getting groomed and new bandanas. Always love the results.
They always do a great job taking care of cleaning up my pups. Will refer to anyone.
Incredible facility and service. I would highly recommend using them for your pet boarding needs.
Always happy to see my dog at the end of a trip, knowing she’s been well cared for and safe!
My pup Finn loves to stay! He romps like crazy in the big play yard and the kennels are clean and warm.
my dogs loved it there!
