Amanda is truly our trusted sitter "find"! She comes back regularly, so much so that our kitties think she is their secondary owner! Always reliable, clean, responsible and most of all loves our cats as much as we do! Good communicator, self reliant - all in all a perfect "10"!
We literally cannot say enough positive things about Susan and Miranda! They are the best! From start to finish, they did an amazing job communicating with us, giving our 3 (somewhat needy) cats extremely high quality care and tons of attention, and keeping our house clean and plants watered. They took adorable pictures of the cats and sent them to us several times a day, played with them and gave them so much love and affection, and when we got home the house was even cleaner than when we left. We even asked them for some tips on how they were caring for the cats because our cats seemed happier and more relaxed than ever when we returned home to them! This was by far our best cat/house sitter experience to date. We hope Susan and Miranda are available again in the future to sit for us and would invite them back without hesitation.
Wow! Just wow! We cannot say enough about the care and compassion Trisha and John provided to our cats and our home. We are always somewhat nervous about a new pet sitter in our home, but that all faded when we met this wonderful couple. They provided daily updates as requested, complete with pictures, videos and personalized captions. Upon our return, we were greeted by happy and content kitties. There was no sign of anxiety in Tika! Yea!!! Our home was clean, the sheets and towels were washed and bed remade! They even left behind thank you notes and little gifts! What a breath of fresh air these two individuals are! We hope to have them back again soon.
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
We knew that we would have a good experience with Carole & Ron from the moment we first had a video chat with them. They are very experienced house sitters and it showed in the questions they asked about our cats and our home. We were so fascinated by them that we invited them to arrive a day early so that we could all go out for lunch and then dinner to hear about their travel stories and share a few of our own. When we left, we felt very confident in our choice and took off on our trip with confidence that our dear kitties would be well cared for. We were not disappointed as Carole & Ron sent us photos and an update the very next day to let us know that all was well. During the next two weeks, we never had a moment of concern and fully enjoyed our vacation knowing that these seasoned sitters were both looking after our place and also enjoying themselves exploring our wonderful city of Philadelphia. We came home to two very happy cats, a clean house, and even a full bowl of fresh fruit on our kitchen counter. We would absolutely have Carole & Ron sit for us again and we wish them the very best of fun and exploration in their future adventures!
Windy & Dustin are some of my top go-tos! They are wonderful sitters who I can trust to take care of my cats and goats and love them like their own! They are so respectful of my house and are always flexible with me when plans change last minute.
Kathryn was such nice and kind sitter that both of my boyfriend and me were grateful to have, including my cats!! My cats seemed having great time with her, being around her, chilling on couch with her, or even sitting on her. I got several photos of my cats from her with whort updates. I’m thankful that she let me do facetimes with her when I missed my cats. The house was clean and tidy when we came back. I definately will ask her again to sit my cats and house when I need. Thank you Kathryn!!:)
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!
Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away. It is wonderful that she enjoys the house and the cats so much and tells us so. Kristine comes with our highest recommendation! Thank you Kristine!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $11/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Cayla has been fantastic with my two large dogs! She plays with them during her visits and sends the cutest photos of them. It puts my mind at ease knowing she’s with them when I’m at work all day. She even bought them treats and toys! I’ve recommended her to several of my friends and they all have loved her as well! Bottom line: She’s professional and easy going and she genuinely cares about animals.
Cayla did regular walks for our 2 pups, and she also sacrificed her time for overnight visits when we were away. Cayla is amazing and is by far the best dog walker / sitter we have ever had. One of our dogs is very old, has no eyes, and can be grumpy - Cayla took amazing care of him and he warmed up to her quickly, which is hard to do. Our other dog is active but hates other dogs, and she made sure to keep him (and the other dogs) same during walks. She was always super cheerful and you can tell how much she loves taking care of them. Cayla is definitely the best!
Cayla has watched my fur baby and my parents fur babies for 3+ years and we have zero complaints. I travel a lot for work (sometimes last minute) and Cayla has ALWAYS come through. During the week she’d walk my Sadie girl 3-4 times pending my schedule and it is refreshing to have a dog walker you can rely on and trust. Like most people I am not a fan of letting people into my home, however, Cayla’s process was extremely professional. Prior to getting my business, she came over for a consultation to meet my pup and go over her routine, along with my expectations in which I was extremely impressed with. Cayla is extremely professional, trust worthy, and I highly recommend her for all your pet needs.
I cannot say enough great things about Cayla! She started taking care of my Fur baby, Willow when she was just a few months old. It was so nice knowing that Cayla was there to play with Willow and take her on walks while I was working. I loved getting updates and pictures every time Cayla was with Willow. Cayla is reliable, hard working and very passionate about her clients. She treats every animal like her own. Willow wouldn’t come out of her crate to play for anyone else but Cayla. Your fur babies will be in the best hands!
I’ve used Cayla for 2 dogs for over 5 years. With both pups, she managed to capture the essence of their personality within the first visit. She knows what they need when I forget to ask her to feed or to add on an extra 15 min. I can always depend on her to go when needed, even last minute when travel plans change. I’ve used her for both visits as well as overnight stays, and trust her with my home and pup. She the best pet sitter that I have had, and I have tried a lot! :)
Cayla has cared for our crazy bunch (4 large labs) and they love seeing her every time she comes to our house! She was always very reliable and professional, gave us great updates while she was here visiting and gave lots of love to our crew while in her care. We could always count on her when we had her scheduled to come visit. She is the best and would recommend her to anyone!
I was luckily introduced to Cayla by a friend that used her dog-walking services in ATL, so when I got my 1 year old Great Dane pup in early 2016, I immediately reached out & scheduled a meet and greet. Cayla was a tremendous help and took my sweet girl out 3-4 times a week while I was at work. She even did last minute drop ins if she could. Would trust her with any pet I owned, great communication, super reliable and friendly, and it’s obvious she loves every animal friend she meets. 150% would use her services if we still lived in the same area!
Cayla is THE best pet sitter. We have 2 cats, they love her. She's professional, consciousness and friendly. We always requested her when we travel which has been several times/year. She keeps us up to date with pictures, texts daily. If she sees any health issues, she notifies us immediately. I guarantee you'll be pleased with her taking care of your pets.
5 star!!! Cayla took care of our dog and cat while on our honeymoon! She sent photos every visit of each animal, gave descriptive updates, and Took great care of our animals. :) spent time at each visit to make sure they were happy and doing ok. Excellent and quick communication through out every day. Will continue to use Cayla as we had a wonderful experience! Thank you Cayla ❤️
Cayla is AMAZING, and I am so glad she was given as a recommendation to me. I had use apps such as Rover & Wag in the past to take care of my pets but I felt it was overpriced and the care was not up to my expectations. Due to a recent lifestyle change & being new to Martinez/Augusta area I reached out to a neighborhood group chat on Facebook to find someone to take care of my 3 dogs & cat. As a last resort I asked if they knew anyone who was willing to come to my home at night, with a schedule that is never the same. It has been a hassle to get someone to take care of 3 dogs and 1 cat during night time hours. With at least 25 responses and Cayla was recommended by multiple people. She has gone above and beyond to make sure I know my fur babies are safe and taken care of by sending us daily pictures and updates. She accommodates our crazy schedule, and she makes my fiancé and I feel at ease while we are away. I am so so so happy with her care, I could not say thank you enough for all she has done. I know my animals are in the best hands with Cayla and I do not know what I would do without her !
My husband and I found Fido’s Farm about 6 months ago. Stephanie has been such a blessing to our pups and us. We started out bringing our Morkie, Millie to her for grooming because we were not happy with our previous groomer. Stephanie asked questions and asked for pictures of how I wanted Millie to be groomed. Once we came together on a look I liked, she’s groomed Millie perfectly ever since. Millie is not easy to groom because she’s so clingy. But, Stephanie is patient and persistent and delivers a beautiful happy pup to me at the end of the day. We also have a Great Dane puppy that we bring to Stephanie just for fun. Our Dane, Bilbo gets to enjoy play time with the other pups and Stephanie walks Bilbo around her property for outside adventures. Bilbo always comes back completely exhausted from his fun at the Farm. We recently had an emergency where I needed someone to watch our pups for an overnight stay on a 30 minute notice. Stephanie acted fast to be sure she had space and said “bring the pups here! They can stay as long as you need!” I can’t thank Fidos Farm enough. If you bring your dogs to Stephanie, know they are in excellent, caring hands!
Stephanie is awesome. She privides pick-up and drop-off service which works out perfectly when trying to get out the door to go on vacation. I leave my dog at home, she gets picked-up, and then she is right back in place bathed and groomed when I get home. Stephanie also worked at a Vet clinic for many years so she is great at taking care of pets that need some extra TLC. My dog has type 1 diabetes and requires daily insulin injections, which she is more than happy to do.
My gorgeous little Shitzu Peanut is one hairy little guy! His hair got so long especially around his eyes! Stephanie took him, bathed him, groomed him, trimmed his nails and brought him back very bouncy, happy and not at all stressed! She did a great job and makes them feel so loved!
We have boarded our 2 dogs (chihuahua and Great Dane) here twice. Stephanie has done great with them both times. We have used other boarding places in the past and our pups have come back having lost weight and with sores on them but not when we take them here. They are happy, healthy and well groomed. It's a little out of the way but well worth the drive. Fidos is honest and trustworthy and we will never take our dogs anywhere else.
We take our two elderly Doberman Pinschers to Fido’s Farm any time we go out of town. We hadn’t traveled in a couple years due to their age, but we decided to give Stephanie and Fido’s Farm a try about six months ago. We’re glad we did. We have full trust and confidence when dropping our dogs off. The dog barn is clean, modern, and temperature controlled. Stephanie and her staff genuinely care about the pups and are always responsive to our questions. We enjoy seeing the videos Stephanie sends of the dogs happily exploring the farm. We 100% recommend Fido’s Farm and wouldn’t trust our pups with anyone else.
The owners are so kind, and my pup loves going for the day to play and go on pack walks.
We boarded our two doggies here last week! It’s always stressful leaving your babies, but this experience was as far from stressful as possible! We got daily updates - videos, pics, texts! Our doggies had an absolute vacation! They explored, played, and did not even want to leave this dog paradise. Stephanie’s veterinary experience also helped ease our worries! Your doggies will be in the best, most caring hands. They truly treat you babies like their own! Do not hesitate boarding your fur babies here!
I highly recommend Fido's Farm if you are needing to board your pet. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and it was evident that they prioritize the well-being of every animal they board. They took great care of my dog and showed her the same love that I do. I will definitely use their services again!
UPDATE 8 months since our 1st stay! We now bring both of our dogs to Fido's. Stephanie and Jason are absolutely wonderful! Our dogs stay here 1-2 x's a month for anywhere from one night to seven. We are so happy to have found Fido's and Stephanie! Highly recommend! We don't bring our dogs anywhere else! UPDATE: Crane has stayed at Fido's Farm now three times, ranging from two nights to seven nights. Stephanie has been so communicative with me and so patient with our "nervous" dog. He does so well at her farm! April 2023: We brought our nervous dog here for the first time. It's actually the first time ever boarding him. I did research and took careful thought prior to deciding to board him. I didn't think he'd come out of his shell in only two nights there. To my surprise, he did amazing! He really liked and trusted Stephanie from the get-go and that is NOT common for him! I'm so grateful we found Fidos Farm and thank Stephanie for her patience and kind nature! Her farm is so peaceful! I highly recommend you check out Fidos Farm for your boarding needs. I've booked two more upcoming stays and trust our our dog will flourish there!
I am a relatively new dog owner and I had never boarded by beautiful rescue, Molly. Stephanie answered every question so thoroughly and so promptly! The facilities are amazing. Molly stayed at Fido's for 11 nights. Stephanie was great to send me videos and text messages so I could see how she was doing. A wonderful bonus was Stephanie brought Molly back to my house when we returned from our trip! Boarding at Fido's Farm was an amazing experience.
We used A+ Pets and Plants for the first time a couple of weeks ago while we were on a cruise. Julie and Miranda took such sweet care of our dog. One of my favorite things this company does is send pictures and detailed messages after every visit. It made me feel so much more at ease knowing she was being taken good care of. Communication was so easy and they responded pretty much immediately. Bless their hearts also bc our dog was having accidents and they handled it like champs! Thank y'all sooo much!
We have used this company for several years. We have had zero issues until this year. We were told our dogs were not allowed to stay outside more than 15min, when I asked them to please leave them outside from 7am-12p, I was told no. Also came home to dry pee in my house bc guess what, they didn’t have time to potty. They stated they had to follow what they felt was best, even tho I have a screened in porch with dog door, water, fan, etc and the temp was only hitting 90 by 12 that day. I agreed to let them do as they please since I was not home and could not control. However, a few days later and I am informed they called animal services to report me and have a welfare check done on my animals. They checked my house, garage, and back yard to determine EVERYTHING I am doing for my animals is perfectly fine. They also stated as long as they have access to shad animals are okay to be outside! Also, there is NOTHING in my signed agreement about this so called policy they have.
A+ Pets and Plants has always provided excellent care to all of our pets. We have multiple pets that are on medication and I never worry about their care. Even the possums outside are well cared for. :) They have always been diligent, professional and communicative. I wouldn’t use any other service!
Samantha rocks!!!!!! Love, love, love the sitting service and their sitter Samantha. She really does a great job, is a caring soul and you can tell she really loves animals. My dogs immediately took to her, which they never do. If you're in a pet sitting jam, ask for Sam!! Woohoo! ****Just learned Samantha is no longer there and has moved on. Boohoo....so sad.
Corey was super responsive and even sent cute pic of our fur babies when he visited them. Our dogs are members of our family and I appreciate them being treated well. Will definitely do business again with A+Pets and Plants.
Terrie does a terrific job of taking care of my dog Miss Honey (plus blinds, plants, mail, etc ) when I go out of town. Terrie texts photos every day and sends me an update on what she and Honey have been up to. Miss Honey loves the belly rubs and walks she gets from Terrie so this means I don’t have to feel guilty about traveling. This is a terrific reliable company!
Do not use A+ Pets and Plants LLC. Their pet sitter Kimberly lost our cat YESTERDAY when she did her drop in and left our home unlocked and allowed our cat to escape our home leaving the door wide open. Then waited til today to tell us she was missing. We ran our home cameras back and our neighbors and proved the sitter is in fact a negligent liar. The manager Julia was the contacted to be told what had happened and she proceeded to not take an responsibility and cuss at my mother. Police were called and a case has been started. Do not use this company for any of your pets. Our dear ALLY is now gone in need of her medication and scared to death. Please don't not use this company if you love your pets! I can't reply to your reply. But your employee is a liar. She did not report it immediately. She only reported it after she was told by us to call her boss. Your 1 employee looked for our cat for a brief time before the police were called. Our whole family just spent over 3hrs combing our neighborhood for her and no one from your company was any where to be found to assist with that search. You are not taking accountability at all. Your employee is a liar and your manager is unprofessional. I will not stop until everyone knows to not do business with you all. We were told you vet your employees yet when we asked if they were drug tested we were told no so obviously yall aren't thorough enough to insure that you have responsible people working for you. You left our home unlocked leaving it open to not only let our beloved pet out but also possibly allowing intruders in. The number 1 rule of entering someone's home/pets is to close the damn door securely.
Jennifer was amazing! She communicated with us and sent picture updates. We are brand new to Augusta so we were so happy to find this service!
I really needed a new pet sitter who would be dependable and not forget about my cats when I was away. I FOUND THEM at A+ Pets and Plants! The sitters really go above and beyond. I have a cat who needs a daily injection and they can do that too. When my flight go canceled and I needed 2 extra days of sitting, the sitter that day made it so easy to just extend the services. I recommend A+ P&P if you are looking for a new sitting service!
We were concerned when our previous dog sitter moved out of state. She recommended A+ Pets and we couldn't be happier. Making reservations is very easy. Angela, our sitter, is professional, took good care of our dog, and sent updates and pictures every time she visited. She also left detailed feedback at home for us. Great service. We will certainly use them again.
We have entrusted Southern Serenity with our pups grooming needs since before they had a name. Rebecca is hands down the most attentive and knowledgeable groomer we have ever met in the CSRA. She is so patient and loving when it comes to animals on a personal and professional level. Southern Serenity’s pick up and drop off services make scheduling your pups appointments simple and stress free. It is our opinion of over 10 years with her that you will simply not find a better groomer in the CSRA. Highly recommend!
Being full time rver's it's difficult to find a good groomer for our yorkies. Super happy we found Starling's to use when we're in Georgia.
Just moved to the area and needed a place to board our dog for two weeks. Hershey, a 3 year old active pit-bull, loves to play so I wanted a boarding facility where she would NOT be kept in a kennel most of the day! Southern Serenity was the perfect choice. She was able to play and socialize with other dogs, and be loved on by Rebecca and her dog Willie. She's got a repeat customer here! HUGE THANKS!
We love Southern Serenity Camp Canine. They are the only place we board our big baby with! I can trust he is safe, well taken care of, and having a blast when we drop him off! SSCC is accommodating to his needs and so friendly. I definitely recommend them!
Rebecca is amazing! Her attention to detail is beyond perfection. She adores all the animals in her care, takes care of my dogs grooming even if its last minute & even took time out of her day to help me leash train my pup. I can’t say enough about how awesome she is.
They do an unbelievably great job with my dog and they are super kind and care about the animals. If you don't go here then you are doing your dog a disservice!
I would go no other place! I’m please each and every time. Friendly and dependable. Five stars!
We had a graduation to attend in Augusta and Sarah was nice enough to accommodate us on short notice and babysit our baby mini schnauzer. This is a great place to have for people that work and need someone to entertain their pup. Try them out!
Best place in the CSRA for dog sitting! The owners are kind, caring and lovable to our sweet lab. We cannot recommend them enough! Bring your fur babies here for extended loves while you are away.
Super friendly staff. They will work with you if you need to reschedule or desire to extend your dog’s stay. Even my rescue dog who acts like we are going to abandon her when we go to the car, becomes happy once we get into the building. I am a very satisfied customer.
We take our two dogs here from time to time and they always love it. They are great with all sizes of dog. One of our dogs is usually very timid but absolutely loves going here. She now runs to the car when it's time to to. Staff is always very friendly and there hours are great.
Awesome place to have your pet stay overnight, staff is very friendly and treats your pet like their own. Friendly and warming environment when you enter and very clean, cause that's one of my pet peeves is walking into a place and meeting rude people and seeing a place not clean at all, we went on a three day trip and came back to a happy dog. Our dog Autumn was groomed just the way I wanted her and they provided food and sleeping supplies for me since I had forgot to bring her things with me when I dropped her off. Their prices are very affordable and being in the military the discount is awesome, thank you Dawg Tired staff, will definitely use your services again.
I am so glad I found this Gem of a place! Its easy to get to, great parking, and terrific staff. The facility is very clean and designed with the dogs in mind. Plenty of area for dogs to play in a cage-free environment. The large dogs are separated from the small dogs, which having a small dog I appreciate. There is a huge indoor climate controlled bark park and an outside space as well. If you don't like leaving your dog at home alone, or just want your babies to get some socialization THIS is the place to bring them. The price is perfect and they offer 1/2 day rates which is great! Two thumbs up from this dog owner!
I picked my dog Mac up from about a week of boarding to find that he had a gaping wound in his front right leg. Upon pickup, one of the unpleasant employees was quick to rush me out the door and saying repeatedly that Mac did not need to see a vet and it was just a small scratch. Upon further evaluation of the "scratch" it was clearly infected and very deep (literally to the bone). I brought Mac to the vet the following day and was informed that he did indeed need stitches, required sedation for the stitches, needed heavy antibiotics, and it was infected. This all cost nearly $400 in total to treat what was deemed as a "scratch" by the employees and owner at Dawg Tired. Dawg Tired did not call me at any point to inform me about the injury, or seek the medical advice of a vet. They claim to have treated him with antibiotic ointment, which was a treatment plan they came up with all on their own (again, did not consult myself or a veterinarian). While Mac has boarded here in the past, he has also come home with two of his harnesses and a rather pricey flea collar completely in shreds. When I brought all of these issues to the owners attention, he somehow found a way to place the blame on Mac and offered no sort of solutions, compensation for the vet bill or destroyed property Mac had been returned home with on three separate occasions, or even an apology. I am very disappointed as I was boarding my dog here several times per month over the last year, as I am active duty military and travel often for work. I would absolutely warn against bringing a pet here for ANY type of care, as there is clearly no protocol or policy in place for destroyed belongings, serious injuries to the pets, or even an unsatisfied customer. If I could give negative stars on this review, I absolutely would.
Dawg Tired is the best! My dog was initially apprehensive, but after a week she was excited and ready to play when we would walk in the door for daycare! They are very efficient; I walk in and they immediately take my dog and I can head off to work. And they are open until 7pm which is a huge bonus because I work until 6pm most days, when other daycares close. The staff are very friendly and everyone knows and cares about my dog. And the pricing is the best around that I’ve seen. Couldn’t be happier!
4 paws up. Dawg Tired is a pup and customer freindly place. Their doggy day care, boarding and grooming are all top shelf. They are my dog's home away from home. 5 years of exceptional care and we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!
The owner/manager, Sarah was quite curt and snippy about policy. Never addressed me personally or talked to me about the facility. The front desk staff, except for Leah was socially inept, didn't have enough communication skills to answer questions. When I picked up Chip at 530p they had.put him in a cage (not a crate)without my permission so they could clean the play room. Explained he was the last one and they close at 7p. After 2 months, I won't be returning. I did address my concerns with the co-owner husband, he said he would get their side but he doesn't force people to come and bring their pets. Honestly it could be a great.place...but it's really a blank.buildimg with a dirt yard to play in, no grass, no activities.
Cannot recommend this place enough! We needed a place to board our dog in a pinch so we called Paws in Paradise on a Monday. The people over the phone were SO nice and helpful. They got us a temperament test scheduled for the next day (it took from 10am to 5pm) and we could tell our dog had a blast because he was super sad to leave. We have a Rottweiler who is super sweet but he can be a lot of energy, so we were a little nervous on how he tested but they said he did great with people and other big dogs. Then we boarded him the next day from Wednesday to Friday. This place has 24/7 camera access wherever your dog goes, so you can watch them hang out in their room or play with other dogs. Also, the staff is amazing. I was watching the cameras at one point and I saw that our dog had peed on his bed. Not even 5 minutes later, a staff member came in and cleaned the whole room. They are very attentive to the pets’ needs and you can tell how much they care! You can also add on different services, such as ice cream for your dog or having them read your dog a bedtime story or give them a massage. We added on daily training for our dog to help him stop pulling on the leash and the trainer Isin was phenomenal, and upon pickup he provided us with ways to keep up the training at home. This place also sends you daily emails on how your pet did that day! We can tell our dog had an amazing time and he definitely didn’t want to leave. He immediately came home and fell asleep and he is still knocked out on the couch.
We made the hard decision to take our 6 month old german shepherd puppy (Nala) to obedience training. After searching around in our area we found Brittany Moss we decided to do the 3 week board and train that Paws in Paradise offers. From initial contact with Brittany we felt like we had made the right decision. She reassured us that our baby would be in good hands and not even for a second did we question that after meeting her! She updated and informed us of Nala's progress way more than we could have ever asked for (not to mention the live cameras in the facility to view our baby at all times). Brittany is INCREDIBLE and is definitely doing exactly what she was put on this Earth to do. You can tell in all of her training that she puts her heart and soul into every moment with the animals left in her care. Nala fell in love with her and so did we! The other staff was amazing too (Isaac, Nick, and many others: THANK YOU!) We will definitely be using their day care, spa, and boarding services in the near future and from now on!
We take our dogs here for both grooming and boarding and they are wonderful. Grace is, without a doubt, the best groomer we have ever had. I have one dog who's fairly hyper at times and another who doesn't always enjoy bath time and both LOVE Grace. Grace is the only human I could ever see my dogs abandoning my husband and me for. She is such a kind, loving soul. Truly, if there were more "Graces" out there, the world would be a better place. Thank you for taking such good care of our furbabies. As long as we live here, this is the only place we will take our animals. Highly recommend Paws in Paradise and Grace.
Our bull doodle, Bear has been going to Paws in Paradise for several months. He plays pretty hard, is very mouthy and had a hard time knowing when enough was enough. We decided it was time for some training. So we scheduled a 2 week board and train with Brittany Moss. Today was his last day. We could not be happier. She did an amazing job. She went over the commands Bear was trained to respond to. Tonight is his first night home and so far, we have used the commands she showed us to use and he is responding well. We would recommend Brittany to anyone who needs there dog to get training. Thank you, Brittany!
My doodle can be quite the trouble maker at the groomer & Alyssa has always been so patient & kind with him! I highly recommend her for your high anxiety pets ❤️❤️❤️
I am not a regular here but have used them a few times in the past. I have always been pleased with everyone there, until today. I am not a complainer but here is what happened. I had appointment for two dogs to be bathed and groomed. Due to my mistake I thought the appointment was Thursday not today (Wednesday). They called and asked about the appointment. I apologized for the confusion. I was told if I could get the dogs there by 830 (appointment was at 8) all would be fine. I called my girlfriend because I was at work and she literally pulled in the parking lot at 830. By the time she parked and got both dogs inside she was told it was 833 and they would not take the dogs. As she was inside pleading her case they called me and told me I would need to reschedule because the dogs got there at 833. I told her that I thought three minutes making that difference was ridiculous. (Conversational tone not angry). The female was very rude and short in tone and said they were 33 minutes late not 3 minutes. I was amazed. I have never had this type of experience there. I know it was mostly my fault but her attitude was uncalled for.
Kia is our new favorite groomer. She even got my dog's face round the way it looks the best on him! The Health Coordinator (can't remember her name) is the very best for anal gland expression if your dog has issues like mine. She also has a lot of knowledge to help keep healthy pets. They give military discounts! I think a chip is only $25 which is a steal! Thank you very much Paws in Paradise!
We brought our 3 year old goldendoodle here over Labor Day weekend (fri-mon) for boarding. He is usually an anxious pup at first when boarded, but settles in nicely after getting acclimated. We paid the extra fee to watch the webcams and have extra goodies for him, and were disappointed to see that his outside / play time was limited to under 15 minutes, and most times was actually under 10. He spent most of the day locked in the room looking sad, and on Saturday night (Sunday morning) at our last check-in between midnight and 12:30 am the lights were still on in his area. My biggest concern and reason for writing this review is in the treatment my pup received. On Saturday I watched as he had an accident in his room. Someone with a hoodie that said manager on the back cleaned the soil with what looked like paper towels and a spray bottle without removing the blankets we brought. As I said earlier he does get anxious when first boarded, so we figured that’s what happened. On Sunday morning my husband received a call that our pup had “a little bit of blood” in his stool. This was a major red flag because this has never happened before, so we let them know we would pick him up ASAP but we were a couple hours drive away. When we picked up our dog he had blood and stool all over his back and butt. An alarming amount, not “a little” as we were told, and it was fresh - not what you’d anticipate. An employee handed us his bloody soiled blanket and let us know “this needs to be washed.” We took our dog straight to the emergency vet and had to give him medication for 3 days. These people didn’t even have the decency to rinse my dog off before giving him to us and were absolutely terrible. Please consider a different establishment that will give you a luxury experience, not just an expensive one.
My 5-year-old rescue Sheltie has enjoyed two spa visits to Paws in Paradise so far. Summer has done a great job grooming her both times. Her undercoat is very thick, and she needs deshedding to remove the loose fur. My pup always looks so tidy and happy after being groomed here.
Just brought my 3 yr. Mini doodle in to Summer for the first time and I have to say she was wonderful and very patient with him. He was a challenge but she gave me some tips to work with him to make the next groom easier. He has trust issues and with consistency over time he will gain that trust with her. Thank you Summer!😊 I also have been using a trainer working on his behavior and Brittany is wonderful. She’s very patient and caring. You girls rock!!!
The kennel we normally use is damaged due to Hurricane Helene, so I've been trying to find a boarder for several upcoming trips I have planned. I contacted Sugg's via Facebook messenger (as they say they don't have phone access right now) to see if it would be a good fit. I spoke with Jennaclare about my dog's behaviors and temperaments, and she said they'd be more than happy to see my dog for their required temperament test. She asked me if I wanted to come on Thursday of that week. When I responded to her message looking to move forward with booking the temperament test, there was no response. I followed up the next day, again no response. It's now been almost a week, and I haven't heard from her or anyone from Sugg's. I'm now back a square one of trying to find another dog boarder. I don't know what happened, but it's extremely inconvenient to go through conversation like that just for it to lead to nothing. My customer service experience with them has not been the greatest.
Suggs has taken care of our dogs for the last few years and I cannot say enough great things about them. The staff are phenomenal and there is not a lot of turnover, so we know people by name every time we walk in there. Our puppies are always excited to go there and have always been treated well. On multiple occasions, they have saved us with accommodating last minute boarding and do so with a smile every time. I cannot say enough good things about how beneficial they have been for our two huskies!
They are wonderful kennel. My dog was here for 9 days and he came home very happy. They take very good care of pets.
This was the first extended stay for Benji and we were anxious because Benji has separation anxiety (go figure). The staff at Suggs took great care of Benji and even sent pics to us so we could feel good about his status.
We have used Suggs twice in the last year for our German Shepherd. They are awesome! They really care about the dogs and ensure that they are well taken care of and happy. We are so grateful for the great care and the love that they showed our dog during her stay there. Definitely recommend this place. The staff is incredible and you can trust that your dog will be safe and happy.
I have never left my pups at a kennel before. I was extremely nervous and distraught at the thought of leaving them somewhere for an upcoming business trip. Suggs' team were absolutely amazing! Not only did they take good care of my boys but the took care of me too, dealing patiently with my calls and check ins. Especially Samuel and Mark! I really appreciate the great care they gave my babies
Suggs Kennel staff have been the biggest blessing for me! I've just recently moved to Augusta two months ago and they have been very accommodating while I've been traveling a lot lately. The thing that really makes my day is how excited they are to see Snoop when I take him there and how excited he is when he leaves. The atmosphere is warming and I really appreciate the staff for all that they do. I highly recommend this place.
We had our dog here for 5 days during the Christmas week . The staff was friendly and the cost was low . The problem I have with this place is there was over 85 dogs here when we got our dog and he was covered in his own pee . They did not bath him and he was like this for almost 2 days . We had to throw his bed out when he got home and bath him. He has been not himself since we picked him up. From what I can see there was just to many dogs to take care of . But also if you leave your pet here and they have an accident they won’t call to tell you . And they only bath them if they are scheduled be bathed . My dog will not be going back here .
Been using them for years. My doggo loves this place and actually gets excited to go! The folks working there are very nice and seem to really care about the animals. Old school, though, don't bring your credit card expecting it to be a payment method, cash and check only.
Our first time leaving our 1 year old German Shepherd. We had an all around wonderful experience! From calling to inquire information, to taking her for her temperament test, touring the facility, and picking her up. Mark was very helpful and informative. They were very accommodating and put ours minds at ease that she would be taken care of! Definitely recommend!
I just had to share how amazing Graced Kennels and staff are. They believe in the work they do and they care so much for my fur babies. My two “babies” are getting older and Graced Kennels and staff are so loving toward them. I’ve boarded my dogs with them multiple times over the past year and a half and now no longer dread having to travel occasionally because I know they feel at home here. Thank you all!
We have used Graced Kennels many times in the past two years and are grateful that they are here to care for our dogs. We had up until 2 weeks ago 5 dogs of various breeds, ages and sizes. Yorkie up to a giant Golden-doodle. Special needs were taken care of while still keeping the pack together. This we greatly appreciate and feel that Management and Staff both take extra steps to keep all of the dogs comfortable, happy and not stressed. The Yorkie even gets some special one on one time in the office. More is always better but what we look for in a kennel is clean, safe and responsible care for our dogs. This Graced Kennels does without doubt. The place that we used before was recommended and did the best they could BUT there were too many dogs mixed together during the day and we felt too few employees to watch for safety. It is up to the owner of the pets to decide what is the best place for their individual pets. We felt we could do better and found Graced Kennels. We feel that our dogs are very well cared for and we would recommend them to anyone. It is a smart, professional and dedicated business with Management that trains, oversees and expects the Staff to be just that.
Graced Kennel is a wonderful place for us to leave our bulldog when traveling. Jimmy is great with Samwell and always communicates how everyone is always excited to hear Samwell is coming in! Thank you to Jimmy and all of the personnel who work with Graced Kennel!
The best family owned local business in Augusta. They are on top of their game. The owners and employees are very family oriented. The dogs are taken care of like their own if not better. Handlers and trainers are all knowledgeable in every aspect.
I found my "soul-doggie-mate" here! Charlie! I'm adopting him and cannot wait to take him home!. If you want to adopt a furry baby, here they have many adorable ones wanting a family! The volunteers and employees work with and train their animals and work with them before coming to your home and they continue training them and continue interraction with them long after adoption! These are the nicest ppl u will ever meet! Especially , Kat! She's a dog lover for sure!
In July 2023, I moved to the area, and as I settled in, my biggest challenge was finding a boarding facility with which I was comfortable for my two (spoiled rotten, over-protected, coddled) Chihuahuas, both of whom are treated as my children! Dont ever say, "They are just dogs." I have only dealt with one other facility, which was in West Virginia, where I previously lived, and which was terrific, so a new facility in Augusta had to measure up to a very high standard. When I first visited Graced Kennel, I knew I had found what I had been looking for. I picked them up today from a weekend, 3 day stay, and I was thrilled at their attitudes when I brought them home. No signs of fear or anxiety! They were happy, energetic, and, of course, glad to see me. Jimmy has been so patient with me as I worked through my anxiety of leaving my babies with total strangers! I'm impressed with their facility that meets the needs of all dogs (the setting is incredible), their mission of hiring people who are recovering as their staff, their expertise with regards to dogs, pets, and their parents, and my feelings of relief that once again I've found a safe and loving place where I feel entirely comfortable leaving these two very important beings in my life. If you need day care or boarding services, Graced Kennel is where you need to go. I know it's the only place in August's where I will leave my kids!
Boarded our dogs here over spring break, we received daily photos of our happy smiling dogs. Our dogs loved it here and this will be our go to kennel when in town. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Absolutely recommend for boarding! The staff was amazing to our fur baby while my family was out of town on vacation. I was able to check in on him any time through live video which gave me an extreme peace of mind as a first time boarder of an older dog . I give 5 stars and beyond to the entire experience!! My family will surely be returning for future appointments!
Don't usually write reviews, but this is definitely my favorite boarding facility in Georgia I have found. We have 5 very high energy dogs and always worried about them when we are away. We are about to leave them here again for the second time and this time have next to no nerves because of how great they were the first time. We got pictures daily of all 5 pups playing together and their kong treats. Happy faces all around and even after picking them up, I could genuinely tell that Jimmy, Cherish, and their daughters enjoyed spending time with them. Sometimes it might be difficult getting in touch with them over phone, but that's fine by me as long as the pups come first!
Jimmy and the team at Graced Kennels are simply the best. I have 2 pit mixes one very high energy and one blind and they take exceptional care of my pups every time! They are very professional and accommodating and i know my pups are in great hands. So glad i discovered graced kennels, they are fantastic!!!
My grandma brought our miniature schnauzer Max in September 4th, 2024 to be groomed and the worker stated that she washed him but was too scared to groom him. My dog indeed was not washed because he was picked up and still had an odor yet I still had to pay for services that sadly were not rendered in my opinion. Why work at the groomers if you are scared of dogs ? highly unacceptable
Pets Place is the Best groomers for my puppy “Butter” I was introduced referred to Pets Place over five years ago. I’m satisfied at each and every visit I’ve been to several from Petsmart to Petco- .Pets Place is number one in my book I won’t take my fir babe anywhere else. I’m completely satisfied over the last five years. Great friendly staff goes extra mile for Butter - We love them so much.💙
My maltese was such a mess when we arrived. I was warmly greeted all my questions were answered, she warmed up to my dog, I was on my way. Later the groomer called me to discuss (what?) what I wanted to do. She told me that she could leave him long & make him handsome. And she did! He's a beautiful little man. Finally someone who cares eniugh to give you what you want!
I would give them negative stars if possible. We boarded our 2 dogs and 2 kittens with them for an extended weekend. When I picked them up they’re bedding that we brought for them was completely saturated in urine and feces… they said they would be walking the dogs which did not happen, the dogs were supposed to be bathed which did not happen and I gave them detailed information on feeding and brought in there own food… the kittens wet food was returned unopened … the smell was overwhelming to the point that I vomited. I’m calling and reporting to ccso and animal control…. I feel my pets were extremely neglected and mistreated. Oh, and one of my dogs now has a cough… I hope she’s not sick.
We boarded our dog on March 13th, owner called us next day she got lose we were on our way to Florida to board our 1st cruise, we we’re still in town on 13th if she had called us when it happened we could have helped look for her. Please don’t use her we found out after the fact our dog isn’t the only one that has gone missing from her boarding facility. We have put out 50 flyers and are still looking!
Do not take your doggie ever there. My dog was bleeding profusely from his paw when I picked him up. My dog towel got completly bloody after a few minutes... It's unacceptable! Had to pay to trauma to javedoggihmy doggie traumatize
Everyone was very welcoming and kind. My Frenchie looked great after his grooming. They definitely gained a regular customer from me and my Frenchie!
I love Miss Kathy she takes care of my Shih Tzu Domino like he’s her own baby 🥰🥰🥰 …
I've been taking my furbaby here for several years and of course I've had my doubts. Not sure what happened but my baby got sick with very bad Diarrhea and I was over charged which never happened before. Sadly to say I won't be using them again.
Kathy is a caring, friendly, compassionate person. She was the only one who my schnauzer would allow to groom him. You know she truly loves animals, and has gone out of her way for people I know to help them when they didn't have the means to get their pet groomed. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
The experience was really good here. They may not answer the phone however if you leave a message or contact via email you will get a response shortly. Seems like everyone pitches in. My dog was not overly dirty seeing that he stayed for a week without a grooming appointment. He also didn’t smell. Received a picture of his play and report card of his stay. He was also administered a kennel cough vaccine for boarding(needs to have been done within 6mths). Competitive pricing and very nice people. There are a lot of stay options and extras for your pets.
They took great care of our dog while we were away. She had an upset belly and they even fed her rice to help her feel better. They also gave me updates on her health status via phone calls and text. I felt like she was in good hands at their boarding facility.
I left my three dogs with Powderhouse for seven days. I picked them up yesterday, August 8, and noticed that one of them couldn't open one of her eyes. She's with the veterinarian now. She has an eye ulcer that could, potentially, require surgery. At no point did Powderhouse say anything was wrong. Powderhouse doesn't have live feeds that show your pets in real time, and Powderhouse doesn't allow visitors, so we had no way of knowing that there was an issue with one of our dogs. The veterinarian says the ulcer would be much easier to treat if it had been spotted earlier. Separately, I asked them to groom all three dogs so they would be clean when I picked them up. I don't think the groomers did a great job The dogs certainly didn't smell as if they'd been groomed. IfvI need a kennel in Aiken in the future, I will look at other options.
This is a fabulous team of pet caregivers and groomers. We use doggie daycare 4 days a week and boarding at least 3 weeks per year, not to mention baths every two weeks due to shedding. Powderhouse has been our reliable, go-to team since 1987. We very much appreciate they have always worked with our dogs mildly challenging personalities. Thank you all! We give our unqualified recommendations to Powderhouse Pet a resort!
We were pcsing and I needed to get my dog n fast prior to Arrival on the island and this place took care of us! Ammo looks fresh and everything they did (full service) was very reasonable. All staff was friendly and professional as well! Thank you powder house 🌺🏝 …
What a friendly place !! I loved Milky Way report card and picture I will definitely bring MW back again!@
Excellent service for your furry friends, they will enjoy the stay. Our dog is always excited to go. The price is high but I have confidence they look after my pup when he goes. Make sure you have your veterinarian email all records ahead of time (I suggest a couple of days). They do require a 6 month kennel cough vaccine. So just make sure they are up to date and that proof is provided I say give it a go, the staff is super friendly and will do their best to accommodate your doggos. We always enjoy getting the pet report card at the end of his stay.
This place kept my baby Gracie for a week long trip, and she had a great time! They kept me up to date with her care, groomed her and trimmed her nails, and she came home a very happy pup 😊 they even went the extra mile and gave me a picture of her from her stay and notes from the staff who cared for her. I couldn’t recommend this place more!
I brought my dog by for overnight boarding for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. They were very helpful via email as I had a lot of logistics to work out. They accepted his bed and special food and were so kind and easy to work with. They sent him home with an adorable "report card" and a photo with sweet notes about how well he did! I will definitely board here again and even bring him by for doggie day care.
This place is highly recommended by friends, however…. 1) expensive for what you “don’t “ get. You are not allowed to look at accommodations. No cameras available for the customer to monitor. Was told by the staff upon arrival “call us anytime we are open” to check on your dog but when I called 5 times in two days, no one answers the phone. 2) I paid for a suite which it would have been nice to see that he actually stayed in that room. 3) I paid for extra play time but did he get it? I will say the staff are nice. Many are just young high school age children. I got a nice card with a photo of him playing with a toy, documenting two of the play times he supposedly got. I will go back but wish they would spend a little money and put cameras in so that parents can view their pets.
