Iggy, our ex Police K9 stayed with Helen over the last few days. It was his first ever house sit after retirement, so we didn't know what to expect. Helen and Bobby are such a genuine loving couple and their love for dogs is evident. Helen kept us up to date with daily updates about Iggy, she gave him plenty of walks and even more care and love. He was so settled, comfortable and happy when we went to pick him up. He was so well cared for, loved and looked after. We'll only use Helen going forward and couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Helen ”doggy-sat” for us while we were staying at one of the lodges at the Hydro, so we could have a meal at the hotel. She was really good with our dog, and sent a lovely photo showing how relaxed he was,with her.

Thank you for looking after Geordie & Princess Bijoux, I knew they would get a holiday better than mine haha and I had a 5* Hotel all inclusive. I loved seeing their happy faces every day and I know you let Bijoux on the couch haha. I’ll be going away again early next year so will def book early...

Helen recently helped us out by looking after our dog Solo for two nights. The accommodation we stayed in would not accept dogs so we contacted Helen. Dealing with Helen was so straightforward and easy. We found Helen to be very professional (paperwork, handover etc) and flexible by working around our arrangements. Solo was so well looked after by Helen. We highly recommend Pets on Holiday and hope to be back one day.

Kilda absolutely loves her time at Helen's and there is no one we trust her with more. Helen spends so much time getting to know your dog and their individual needs, I know that Kilda is always in great hands and being looked after by someone who cares so much about her. I highly recommend Helen!

Morven, at Conalter, is our go to for our two very different dogs when we are away. They are very clearly looked after and cared for. Lovely part of Perthshire for walks too. Would highly recommend to anyone requiring kennel boarding.

Morven at Conalter Kennels is absolutely fantastic with our boys! We have been using the kennels for about 5 years now and honestly would not trust anyone else the way we trust them with our collies! We know that when we leave them that they are well fed, walked and loved and the boys are always excited to get to the kennels! 100% recommend to anyone looking for somewhere reliable and trustworthy to watch your doggies!

First time boarding our Cockapoo Nuala here. She came back very happy and healthy. Morven was lovely and friendly and we knew Nuala was in good hands from the very start. We would definitely board her again here & highly recommend. Thank you!

We recently (May '22) used Conalter for the first time for our 3 older dogs. Shena and Nigel are exactly the folk you want to look after your dogs - caring, practical and attentive. I went to visit the kennels beforehand and was very impressed with the set-up in general and the experience Shena clearly has. When we came back to pick up our dogs, they were all happy, healthy and relaxed - plus they didn't smell! (If you've left your dogs in kennels before, you'll realise what a pleasant surprise that was!) I will not hesitate to use Conalter again and can attest to the peace of mind they can offer you if you leave your much-loved dogs with them!

Shena and her husband were fantastic with our boy Zeus, put our minds at ease as it was his first kennel stay since he's been with us 💙 so welcoming, the kennels were a fantastic size and very clean, shena and her husband were wonderful when we picked him lettings us know how his stay with them had been. Will definitely be coming back!! Thank you both so much 💙

Have used Conalter Kennels for a few years now. The owners are caring and knowledgable. I have no issues in leaving my dog there. In fact he comes home in great condition and happy. The owners have also been helpful when I have any dog training questions and have been very supportive. I have no hesitation in referring the owners and the kennels to anyone. Will happily send my dogs there now and in the future.

Always had a good experience at Conalter Kennels. Our dogs always happy to go and returned happy and healthy too. Impressed by Shena and Nigel's attention to detail and also the fact that they make a thorough check of our dogs needs and vaccination certificates....haven't had the same care at other kennels we have approached.

Barking Mad is an excellent service! I have used Barking Mad for a number of years for my dogs and I've never been disappointed. Our dogs have been very well looked after and when the van pulls up to collect them there is great excitement from them about going on holiday! Elaine and John are genuinely caring towards the dogs and we leave them feeling confident that they will be well looked after and have a great time! Thoroughly recommend.

I have been a Barking Mad Host and service user for almost 20 years. Elaine and John are the third owners I have worked with and not only are they lovely people, they are by far the most enthusiastic, committed owners of the service. Not only do they ensure dogs have a fabulous holiday in appropriate surroundings, they have developed a very caring community for the Hosts. All your lovely dogs are looked after so well in their holiday homes.

After a bad experience with dog care some years ago, I thought I would never go on holiday again – until I found Barking Mad. My pooch has some quirky habits which require particular care and attention – John and Elaine came to the house to meet him, took note of everything down to the smallest detail and found the perfect host who catered for all his needs. I went to visit my family in New Zealand and had heaps of text messages, photos and video showing my dog out on lovely walks, having lots of fun and looking totally relaxed. I have already booked my next holiday and have every confidence that with Barking Mad, my dog will receive the same care, attention and love that he gets at home. I can’t rate this organisation highly enough, they are simply the best.

I cannot recommend barking mad fife enough. When your going on holiday you want your furry friend to be looked after the same way you look after them at home. You want peace of mind and reassurance, this is exactly what Elaine and John provide. No detail is missed out and they cover absolutely everything with you in a 2 hour initial meeting before they board your dog. Our dog has joint issues which can limit some activities, this issue was 100% taken on board while our dog was in Elaine and Johns care. I think it’s important to know any health issues your dog may have will be looked after correctly. You’ll receive updates with photos when you are away- chances are your furry friend is also having a 5 star luxury holiday of their own! The service is second to none and worth every penny. I cannot rate Elaine and John highly enough.

Since we first used John and Elaine at Barking Mad to look after our Gordon Setter "Floyd" for six weeks in 2017 we would not consider placing him anywhere else. He loves going with them and has the time of his life running with the pack in the hills and swimming in the sea. While he's away we get regular pictures and videos sent so we can see how happy he is. We would have no hesitation recommending them even for long stays. Peter and Maureen.

Our last dog Trey, a ‘silver surfer’ was always looked after so well and loved his holibags with Elaine and John. He was a withdrawn guide dog who had bad arthritic legs who just loved people and we worried how he would be staying with others. We needn’t have worried as he loved every second and was always cared for to our exact needs regarding his food and medication. When we lost him our two new girls who are rescue labradors now go on holiday with them too. As I am now disabled it was a huge worry for me that if I had to do anything at short notice, who would look after my dogs? I am so lucky that Elaine and John have always gone the extra mile for me when I have needed care for the girls at very short notice sometimes so that this now is not an issue. If anyone is considering dog care I would say let your dogs go on holiday with John and Elaine. You can have total peace of mind to enjoy whatever you are doing in the knowledge that your fur babies will be having a blast with the best care possible and being treated as part of a family with all their home comforts.

This is a wonderful service, run and owned by 2 devoted dog lovers. Elaine and John are friendly, caring and very professional people, they ensure that you and your dogs safety, comfort any special needs are their main priority. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the service they provided, which allowed my Wife and I to enjoy our break/holiday away, knowing that our 'Kizzi' was safe and happy! Many thanks to you both and we will be using your service anytime we ever wish to go away, when we are unable to take Kizzi.

Excellent service provided by wonderful and devoted staff. Nothing is too much for them as in our case when our pooch has to go to the vets, as she does once a month, it is no hassle whilst we are on holiday. Her dog sitter is excellent as well and we know that the dog is being well cared for. Keep up the good work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Once again I would like to thank John and Elaine for their exceptional service and dedication they gave us recently with Flora. Also cannot thank them enough for helping us out at such short notice for my father in laws funeral. Lynne,Alan,Emma and not forgetting Nugget are wonderful hosts. Flora came back bouncy, full of life and started eating without me having to remind her. Whenever Flora sees the bag and the car draws up to fetch her she cannot contain her excitement. Keep up your good work. Elaine and John as we do not know what we would do without your services.x

First time my border collie has had to use kennels, looked on the net usual thing, read reviews as any responsible owner would do, did not have an instant "feelgood factor". Saw by chance and thought that`s a catchy name for a kennel, how wrong was I, it`s a fantastic one to one fun filled holiday for mans best friend, living in a house with dog loving, like minded hosts giving, and treating your dog better than one of the family. The attention to detail given by Elaine even prior to collecting Tess (yes door to door service) was first class, and I new Tess was in good hands. On return Tess was in first class condition, clearly had a whale of a time, and none the worse for, or even better for her experience. All I can say is, your dog loves you and trusts you, therefore YOU would be BARKING MAD to send them anywhere else. 100% honest feedback

Layla at Tails and Trails looked after my little dog Dora. She had her for the day and sent me regular updates and pictures. Dora had a great time walking with the pack, would definitely recommend tails and trails services. Layla is lovely

Layla looked after my 2 spaniels whilst I was on holiday for a week, they had never stayed away before so I was anxious, however I received regular updates & pictures/videos and was able to relax as I could see how happy my girls were, they were in Laylas home and being treated like her own. I cannot recommend highly enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Layla looked after our 2 dogs while we were at a wedding in the area. They went on 2 pack walks and stayed overnight at her lovely home. The dogs clearly had a great time as they've done nothing but sleep since! They were really relaxed when we picked them up. Layla was in regular contact with us and she's clearly very experienced with dogs. Would 100% use again and recommend!

Layla looked after our little sausage dog Maisy whilst we were getting married down the road at Inchyra. Layla also brought Maisy to our wedding for a couple of hours so she could be there on our special day. Maisy had the best time with Layla and she could not have been better cared for. Layla sent us lots of photos and video updates so we were absolutely confident she was settled and having a lovely time. I can’t thank Layla enough and we will absolutely be calling on her again to look after Maisy in the future. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person to look after their furry friend!

I adopted my dog in September of last year, not knowing much about his background other than him not being good around other dogs. I was worried how my dog would be, getting taken out with Layla, but I had no reason to worry at all, as he was so well behaved & enjoyed his first ever walk with Layla & a small pack. Layla set my mind at ease with pictures & videos. I would highly recommend Layla 🐶🐾

Layla is just wonderful! If I could give her 10 stars, I would! Our dog loves her so much, he gets SO excited every time I drop him off with Layla. She always sends us pictures and videos of his walkies which just makes my day. She has such a good way with him and all of the dogs she cares for.
