After seeing the numerous positive reviews, I knew Cung would be an easygoing and professional cat sitter and house guest, and he was :-) Easy communication, prompt updates and clear concern for Boz & Artie's wellbeing, and pictures of cozying up on the couch together all made our time away secure and stress free. Upon returning home, the cats were chill and the apt was left spotless, as though he hadn't even been there.

We couldn't have asked for better sitters than Pares and Mark. Since our initial contact, it was straightforward to communicate with Pares. We were lucky enough to get a chance to meet Pares with our dog Luna, and Luna got along with her immediately. During our time away from home, she kept us informed about how both our dog and cat were doing, and they were both cuddling with her since the first day. We got a lot of pictures and knew that they were safe and happy. The apartment was exactly as we had left it when we came back. Pares and Mark even ran the dishwasher and the washing machine for us. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and it made our trip very easy knowing they were taken care of so well. We'd have Pares and Mark back to our home without any hesitation.

Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!

My husband and I reached out to Toby & Chloe after reading their profile and impressive reviews only a week before our trip, since our scheduled sitter had to cancel at the last moment. They were very friendly and quick to respond to chat from the very beginning, and ended up exceeding our expectations during their two week stay. It was evident they had thoroughly read our Welcome Guide beforehand, as they arrived knowledgeable and prepared to care for our home and pets. They were very willing and happy to take the necessary time with us to walk through the house and meet our cats, as we got them acclimated with our daily routines and answered any questions. Shortly after we left, our city had a heat wave come through, and after immediately notifying us, Toby went beyond the call of duty and inspected our struggling AC unit to pinpoint the issue. As far as cat care is concerned, we have two seniors (who have more sensitive tummies) that can get irritated after a fur ball or swallowing anything out of the ordinary. When this occurred, Toby & Chloe stepped in and took wonderful care of our cat duo; softening their food and even cradling while hand-feeding them for extra comfort. We truly could not have asked for more affectionate and responsible sitters. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, happy cats, and well maintained plants and pool. (They even cleaned our dusty Kitchen pendant lighting, which requires a steady hand and is definitely a time-commitment …We felt like professional housecleaners had been there!) On our way back, Toby & Chloe stayed in communication with us to monitor our arrival time, allowing them to care for our cats until just before we got home. Overall, they are very reliable and trustworthy sitters whose genuine goal is to provide a top-quality sit, while maintaining your household and seamlessly transitioning to your pets daily schedule.

Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!

Steven was a great sitter for our black lab Souris and cat Pinot. They were well looked after and really liked Steven. Our house was in good order when we got back and Steven was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the airport. He was very flexible, arriving day early so we could show him around.

Rick and Sally are marvelous cat sitters and we would gladly have them back anytime. We highly recommend them to any and all pet owners. They arrived when they said they would and were ready to go when we returned, making sure our cats were present before departing. We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.

I am the owner (Dog Mum) of the 34kg lapdog Cerbi (a Bull Arab X aka Mutt who I adopted from the animal refuge when he was 18months old) He is big, strong, energetic, dumb and well meaning. He’s so full of love and excitement that I felt bad that he was home alone so often (Joy of shift work) and I was always nervous when watching him play/ interact with dogs because of my own fears. So I finally decided to become ‘one of those pet owners’ and look into Doggy Day Care, and in comes Odette and Hodgson Boarding like a knight in shining armour. The price was beyond reasonable, and the Van days mean I don’t have to panic about needing to work overtime or running late. The garden is huge with lots of things to keep the pups entertained and cared for, and it’s clear that Odette runs a good organisation. Updates and information are made readily available, she’s always trying to make things easier for busy pet parents, my pup gets to have the best day, and for the first time he didn’t try to bowl me over when I got home. Beyond incredibly happy with my decision, if you’ve got a pup with more energy than you, or who wants friends you MUST contact them.
We left our 2 dogs Ellen & Kate there for a day & we were very happy with their stay. We would highly recommend you leave your pets here, they will be cared for professionally.

We have left our little girl with leona twice and both times for very long periods on and off over 4 months..as our dog has high anxiety we were very excited to see how leona and her family made our girl part of the family. I call it a resort home for dogs love they are in her lounge at night time and a bonus guitar sing along! Thanks leona our dog loved staying with you!
Our 'Little Girl' has stayed with tante Leona numerous times, and she is very excited when we take her there. She is also always happy to come home! Yes she does need a bath, but that just shows she has had a great holiday time! Thanks Leona!
Leona is lovely, and my 6 month old puppy was happy and content when I picked him up after a week. The kennels are part of the main house, and face into one wall of the living room, perfect for little pooches who are used to being inside with humans.
Our small dog stayed there for four nights, I picked him up, he was filthy covered in ticks and picked up an ear infection, $127 bill at the vet and a whole lot of trauma for him and ourselves. I wouldnt take our dog back there in a fit........STAY CLEAR

After posting a positive experience for Critter Creek, I have updated it to 1 star. I left my dogs overnight, and while I understand they must have rules for drop off & collection, I was charged 2 nights boarding. A bit rich for me. Never going back, even though I was a loyal customer, always paying cash with no receipt. When I picked them up just after 16:00 they charged me for an extra day. There were not any more meals, nor did the dogs get exercised. Just stayed there for a couple more hours as I was delayed in collecting them.
I took my healthy clean dog to this kennels 3 weeks ago. When I picked her up she looked like a junk yard dog, scrawny and filthy and was also overcharged on quote originally agreed on. I in no way would recommend taking your pet there if you want your dog to receive the care they deserve look elsewhere. I had to give one star but I believe the treatment my dog got it deserves a 0 rating. Not happy Jan
My 2 dogs had daycare around 6 to 8 times whilst we were on holidays, allowing us to do day trips around the area. Anne, CJ and Rick were very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend Critter Creek Kennels and will use them again next holidays.
My two energetic dogs Daisy & Chilli just returned from an 8 day stay. They're relaxed and content and I believe they've spent plenty of time socialising with other friendly dogs in the outside pen. I've used Critter Creek kennels for many years and am very happy with the new owners. The new driveway/parking lot is a welcome upgrade!
Very disappointing, we have used Critter Creek for a number of years when Kim was running it and always had a lovely experience. The new owner is not welcoming and only offered a few negative grunts on pick up and drop off. When booking over the phone was told that drop off is at anytime during the day, when hubby dropped our dog off at 10:15am was greeted with "dident you see the times". Our dog was there for 5 days and has lost weight and the food we left was handed back with almost the same amount of food in it when we had left. No feedback besides "his a grumpy dog" which is not reflective at all. Don't think Critter Creek will last very long with current owner without significant changes, definitely won't be back.
Ever since we moved to the Fraser Coast region almost 8 years ago, all of our dogs have stayed at Critter Creek! When we heard Kim was selling the business we were hoping that someone new would come in and give our furbabies the same love and treatment they are accustomed to! I rang the number and spoke to Rick, I was quite surprised he had it up and running as quick as he did! So we booked our furbabies in and got to meet Rick, what a lovely person he is and what an exciting journey he's taken! Our dogs stayed for almost a week, then a few days later they were back again for another week! On pick up we got to meet Bree who is just lovely and our dogs absolutely adore her! Thank you again Rick and Bree for giving our furbabies the love they need while we are away 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If I could give negative stars, I would. The man who now runs Critter Creek should not be allowed near animals. He is rude and arrogant and definitely does not give any impression of liking animals at all. My dog was happy and relaxed when she left Critter Creek when Sue was running it. This man admitted to terrorising my dog with a hose to move her into a kennel. If you love your fur baby do not leave them with this horrid person.
Rick took care of my 2 dogs for around a month whilst I figured out how to leave them home alone. One of the dogs has a broken knee, Arthritis and severe anxiety/ separation anxiety and me being very protective and nervous to leave her in someone else's care, was very strict with how she needs to be taken care of. Rick from the get go has always been kind, caring and catering towards her and her needs. He is very easy to get a hold of and is also easy to talk to. I always have great chats with him. I will definitely be returning and will always highly recommend him.
I am always nervous about leaving my dogs as one needs medication. Ricky is calm and capable and my dogs now jump out of the car to see him - obviously happy about being there. My dogs stay often and are always fine, well and happy when I come to collect them. I'm so glad I found Critter Creek. A hidden gem!

Our dog came back to us as she went in so that was good but I don’t think she was let out of the kennels much and it’s a very old school high density concrete kennels setup. No obvious fenced play area. Bloke running the show was nice but i wouldn’t return

i went to drop my dog off before going on holiday and was horrified upon arrival as their entry looked like a rundown junk yard that was poorly maintained and right off the highway. i was instantly put off from leaving my dog with them especially after reading about dogs escaping and being hit by a car on the highway. this put me in a tough situation for a safe place for my dog to stay but i was told about MadPaws and was able to find such a lovely family that was so understanding of my situation and made me feel so much better about leaving my dog with them. i would never recommend Hillcrest Pet Resort to anyone that cared about their pets well-being and safety.
I have left my dog on 2 occasions and been very happy with the owners and the way the dog was looked after. I wouldn’t take notice of negative reviews as some have been proven to be fake.
Wasn't very happy taking my 2 fur babies here. I was very early arriving and staff member yelling at dogs to shut up and sounded aggressive to me. Have a timid sausage dog who also barks alot. Had me worried so I didn't leave them there
