Hilary was a fantastic pet sitter for our cat - you would be so lucky to have her care for your pet and home. She took exceptional care of her and our home. Hilary played so much with her and took the best care. She was communicative, easy to coordinate with, and left everything super clean for us when we came back. Five stars is understating how extraordinary she was - we cannot recommend her enough!!
Kendra was a great cat sitter to Genepi and she truly is a cat whisperer. Genepi usually takes 4 days to make friends with a new person but she came out and made friends with Kendra Day 1! Kendra regularly sent wonderful videos and pics of Genepi purring happily. The apartment was neat when we returned and our garden was blossoming. Would absolutely ask Kendra to sit again and highly recommend her. Thanks Kendra!!
I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Someone was smiling down on us when Kevin and Mary clicked on our very first House Sitter advert. They are straightforward, pleasant, reliable and fun. They kept in touch about their own plans when their flights were delayed. They tactfully left the house when our own cancelled flights meant we were staying a few hours longer than first planned. They sent just the right amount of photos, videos and texts of our cat while we were away! We all loved that. And on our return, oh my word, the house fairies had been to visit! They somehow managed to walk the perfect line between improving everything, without interfering at all. Clean, tidy, replenished. They asked what food we’d like on our return and boy did they deliver! Home made bean stew :-) and different things for the children. Really kind and generous. Communication was clear and also witty..! They dealt with the churn of small mammals our “somewhat independent” cat brought through the flap without complaint. They are a really nice couple, exuding a lovely American warmth and charm. It was a real pleasure, Kevin and Mary, thank you.
Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Tracy was an ideal pet sitter when we left for 12 days. She was communicative, friendly, and most importantly took perfect care of our two cats and our house. I would highly recommend her for any sit!
We couldn't have asked for better sitters than Pares and Mark. Since our initial contact, it was straightforward to communicate with Pares. We were lucky enough to get a chance to meet Pares with our dog Luna, and Luna got along with her immediately. During our time away from home, she kept us informed about how both our dog and cat were doing, and they were both cuddling with her since the first day. We got a lot of pictures and knew that they were safe and happy. The apartment was exactly as we had left it when we came back. Pares and Mark even ran the dishwasher and the washing machine for us. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and it made our trip very easy knowing they were taken care of so well. We'd have Pares and Mark back to our home without any hesitation.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $22/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Absolutely the best groomer! I gave specific instructions as to how I want my ALD groomed and Rebecca followed to perfection. I am so very pleased!! Thank you!
THE BEST! Our two english bulldogs LOVED their time at Ruff Dogs. The owners are wonderful and have a fantastic business. Facility is very Clean, owners are so kind and you can see all the dogs having so much fun! Our dogs pouted when they had to go home. We requested a bath before we picked them up and WOW they were so clean and smelled amazing! We can't wait to go back, dont wait- book your pets stay here today! Thank you for having a wonderful dog boarding, daycare and grooming business in South Fork
Highly recommend Ruff Dogs. My spaniel was nervous when dropping her off for boarding but was able to come out of her shell and hangout with all the dogs! Always pleasant talking with them either on the phone or drop off or pick up. Thank you, Rebecca and staff.
Highly recommend. I could tell my dog enjoyed his overnight stay and daycare. I made a last-minute reservation before a holiday and they were very patient. I suggest having all veterinary records and pet information available in a digital format (PDF to send via email) the first time making a reservation, which will help things going smoothly.
Our first time staying in South Fork when snow skiing. We usually stay in Pagosa but decided to try something different. Thankful Ruff dogs was open. Had a great experience with them. Super friendly and on time in the mornings. (Unlike other places we used) 😉. Enjoyed talking to them and LOVEd how they used social media to post the dogs thru-out their day there. It was like leaving our baby with family. They really love the dogs. Very clean and most definitely would take our Lucy there again!!!
My dog Ace had a great time staying here for 5 nights. I was worried because he hadn’t stayed in a kennel or boarding place for almost 5 years! He’s a spoiled couch dog….but when I picked him up he was happy, clean (he got a bath and nails clipped before pick-up), and overall seemed super excited but not stressed at all! He got to spend his days playing with other dogs, inside and outside in the snow! They took great care of him and made sure he took his vitamins and responded to my email midweek when I checked in on him. They are responsive and overall the whole experience was great! I’ll certainly be taking him here again when I come in town and spend my days up at Wolf Creek! 10/10 would recommend!
We have a 2-yr-old cattle dog pit mix and a 4-month-old cattle dog shepherd mix. We took them here for a one night boarding stay to acclimate the puppy to boarding and daycare. They loved it. Even the older dog (who is high anxiety and scared of new people and places) warmed up quickly and had fun - I don’t think he wanted to leave :) The facility is great, and the owners are very friendly and great with the dogs.
Our family loves everything about Ruff Dogs! We have a groom-requiring breed and Rebecca is so great with our dog who is slow-to-warm. Our pup also attends daycare up to three times a week where Steve is so good with our floof and spends time with each of the dogs there. Steve is a dedicated trainer and Rebecca knows the business inside and out. We are very thankful to have them and Ruff Dogs in South Fork!
This was our shy border collie Seek’s first daycare experience, and she clearly had a blast and was thrilled to come back the second time! Very friendly staff that took amazing care of Seek and won her over right away even though she usually takes a long time to warm up to strangers.
My pug had a great stay at Ruff Dogs. I picked him up for a walk during his stay and he was excited to get back to Ruff Dogs. I felt good about leaving my dog with Steve & Rebecca and will book again when I’m in the area.
We utilized Cheryl with Durango Pet Sitting when we needed our puppy watched during our train ride. Since we come in from N. Arizona, Ms. Cheryl did an in hotel room pet sit for us at the Homewood Suites on Girard, just a couple minutes from downtown. She arrived promptly, took time to get to know the personality or our pup and what training commands we are using with him. She jumped right in to take care of our pup as we were wrapping up to head out of the hotel. While we were gone, she checked in, sent pictures of him and his antics and kept us updated on his day. On return, she met us outside as she knew he would be excited to see us and it made the reunion with him in a better location on the lawn instead of the room. Ms. Cheryl is a conscientious pet sitter and I would not only recommend, but will very likely use again in the future.
Cheryl was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. We have one who is elderly and one who is paralyzed. To say that our dogs are special needs is an understatement. They require responsible 24 hr. a day care and Cheryl was able to meet their needs wonderfully. We have never left them with anyone but family members but, having recently moved to this area, we no longer have family near by. We were nervous about hiring someone but, Cheryl took time to come to our home and meet us and our pets. She is so thorough with instructions and really took time to observe their routine and behavior. When we returned from our trip our home was spotless and our doggies looked so bright eyed and happy. I think they probably wish she was here every day! She is very knowledgeable about animals and was able to give us some great tips for better nutrition. We highly recommend her and will definitely be using her services for future trips!
I rarely give five 5 stars because it is difficult for any business to be 100% perfect all the time every time, mostly when taking care of our fur babies with whom our expectations are very high. However, my experience with Durango Pet Sitting was so perfect in every way they deserve five stars! We were traveling to the Durango area from California for a vacation. I was SO concerned about finding the right sitter for our pup while we toured around (ATV rides, rafting, etc.) and I'm so glad I chose Durango Pet Sitting because everything went perfect. First, the communication before and during our pup Ivy's visit was clear, timely and Cheryl never failed to respond to a message and clearly communicated and understood what our requests for Ivy were. Second, Cheryl perfectly executed our plan to visit Ivy at our campground. She was there at the times we requested (one day she visited Ivy 3'x in one day). She sent a text message after each visit and with pictures of our little lady. Finally, I should mention I own a couple of pet sitting businesses (don't think Cheryl knows this) so my expectations are through the roof when caring for dogs. Cheryl is amazing and we will use her services again should we be traveling this way in the future.
Very recently, we had Cheryl of Durango Pet Sitting come to our home and stay with our 12 year old dog, Sasha for 4 days and 3 nights. This was our first experience with 24/7 pet care. We had always boarded Sasha before, but an unacceptable experience caused us to look for better options. From beginning to end, working with Cheryl was a positive experience. She treated Sasha with loving care, following all of our directions and suggestions. Cheryl also respected our home in every way, including the security of it. When we returned home, Sasha met us at the door calmly, as though we had never been away. If you are searching for a person , who can be trusted to lovingly take care of your pet for a few hours or for longer periods of time, we highly recommend Durango Pet Sitting. Tim and Stacy Hannigan Durango, CO
We had the best experience with Cheryl, our pet sitter! We had not planned on taking our puppy with us on vacation. Our puppy sitting plans fell through so we had to go to plan B! We booked a river rafting trip in Durango and our dog was not allowed on the trip. We called so many places and everyone was full because it was the 4th of July weekend. Luckily, Cheryl called us back from Durango Pet Sitting and she had an opening. She met us AT the rafting starting location and met us back there at the end of our trip with our puppy! She was so nice and made us feel comfortable right away. We can tell that Cooper (our puppy) had a blast, and so did we. I highly recommend Cheryl! Everything was perfect. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Happy we found Cheryl My husband and I were vacationing in Ouray for a week with our two female German Shepherds. During our stay in Ouray we had planned a train trip out of Durango. We were in a dilemma what to do with the girls during our train ride. Travel time from Ouray to Durango would be at least 4 hours round trip plus the 10 hour train ride. Our girls would not be able to stay alone in the cabin for this length of time. A few months before our vacation we contacted day cares in the Durango area and did not feel comfortable leaving our girls with them. In addition, our schedule didn’t seem like it would work with their facility. Then we found Durango Pet Sitting. After visiting with Cheryl for a while we felt her service was exactly what we needed and the girls would be in good hands. Not knowing Cheryl or having the opportunity to meet her before our trip made us a little apprehensive but everything worked out PERFECT. Cheryl met us at the train station before our departure and was waiting for us when we returned. The girls were happy and seemed like they had been well cared for. I would highly recommend Cheryl for your pet needs. Jill Mayer
Very reliable and caring Cheryl, who was our pet sitter from Durango Pet Sitting, was very caring towards our cat. She covered every detail and remained in contact the whole time we were out of town. She even made some suggestions regarding how we could keep our cat even more safe and comfortable while we were gone. I would absolutely recommend her and hope to use her again in the future.
Cheryl took excellent care of our little dog so we could enjoy a day going to and from Durango and Silverton. She had recommended we get a first floor room at the Doubletree, which we did. She came to our room to take care of her. She and Izzy were able to take walks up and down the river from right outside our door. She sent us pictures of what they were doing and kept in touch with us throughout the day...whenever we had a connection. I highly recommend Cheryl and Durando Pet Sitting.
Cheryl is the best! One of my dogs is extremely shy and fearful and will not come close to people, but after a few visits he and Cheryl were best friends. She could walk him and he would lie near her chair which is remarkable for him. I could always leave home without worrying about my pets at home when Cheryl was there. Unfortunately, we have moved out of state, but if I could afford it I would fly Cheryl to our house when I need a pet sitter. You can leave home and feel confident that your pets are loved and well cared for.
My husband and I wanted to go on the train in Durango and our two poodles could not go on the train, so we needed a "sitter" for the day. Our two girls are very special to us and we have never done anything like this before. After searching online (we live in Wisconsin) for someone who would do this for us, I came to Durango Pet Sitting. The website had a caring feel and I reached out to see if this was possible. Cheryl was very helpful and assuring. I was still apprehensive - this was a stranger whom I have never met that would be caring for out precious angels for a whole day. Well, everything could not have gone smoother! Cheryl picked up our girls at our hotel - cared for them the entire day and then delivered them back to us at the train station. They were happy and seemed very content. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend Cheryl for your pet's care!
We were in town for a trip to the hot springs and our dogs had a great day at doggy day care! They are different ages and have unique needs as well as some trauma from being at the shelter before we adopted them. Despite all of that, staff were so kind, patient and understanding that they both had a great day. They were happy and tired when we picked them up and we are so grateful! We will definitely come back when we are back in Pagosa area!
I highly recommend doggy day care for any occasion. Whether it be half day whole day or a nights stay they always make sure pennie has what she needs. I love seeing them interact with the animals and I always feel my animal is safe loved and secure. They always exceed expectations and even give medication that my dog needs when it’s needed. Pennie always leaves happy and tired from her play time. So thankful for a place like this ❤️❤️
Very poor facility. One of my dogs escape from under fence due to lack of maintenance of fence and lack of supervision (was lost for 11+ hours) and my other dog was injured and I was not reimbursed for vet bills caused by there very poorly maintained and dirty facility. I was not even notified of either of these incidents until I called to check in on them. I Do NOT recommend doggy day care at all. Owner is not friendly and is rude.
Extremely unsatisfied with the safety and cleanliness of the facility and duties of owner. I trusted this facility with our two fur babies while we stayed at a timeshare right down the road that did not allow pets. Upon dropping off my two dogs I let the owners wife know that my animals cannot be separated by any means, she assured me that they wouldn’t and that everything would be fine. Sometime in the middle of the night and or early morning, my two dogs escaped their sleeping quarters and were found by the main owner wondering around the break room area. One was found injured and bleeding and the other scared and extremely anxious. Upon the owner finding my dogs escaped, anxious, scared and injured and not where they were supposed to be; he decided to take manners into his own hands and handle the situation himself without informing me. “Why was I never called right away?” In an effort to address my wounded dog, he separates him from my other dog, placing him outside in their poorly maintained fenced outdoor run area. You can imagine my already anxious and scared dog was even more scared and anxious after being separated from his brother who he cannot see. In an attempt to find his brother he escaped under their fence. This was in the middle of a heavy snowstorm. He was lost for 11+ hours that day and was only found by the help of the FB community page. 45 minutes into the owner arriving, assessing the situation that my dogs were clearly anxious, scared and injured. He still didn’t give me a call to inform me about anything that has happened. The only reason I know anything at all was because I called when they opened to ask about my dogs. This is when he began with ohh boy… and informed me that one was missing and the other was injured. Asking him how this happened he told me what I just told you. Completely distraught, I go to be with my injured dog while my husband goes and helps to try to find my other dog. Thinking they would have their on call vet there addressing his wounds he has my injured dog limping outside in the snowstorm, soaking wet walking around the facility to try to bait my other dog to come back. My other dog is nowhere to be found. Upset And worried about my injured dog I’m asking for a vet and they refer me to a vet clinic up the road that is closed. I had to go to an emergency vet hospital which I had to pay $500+ for him to be sedated, wounds cleaned, inspected and addressed as well as given an antibiotic to prevent future infection. Meanwhile, my other dog was still lost, and my husband was looking for him. Again he was lost for 11+ hours in the middle of a heavy snowstorm and was only found right before night fall due to their fb community page. He was Shivering cold and completely terrified. “First of all, why was I not called right away and informed that they escaped their sleeping quarters? Why didn’t they call their supposedly on call vet to address my dogs wounds right away? Why were my dogs separated after being told that they should not be separated by any means?” After this terrible experience we went home as soon as we could. A week later my injured dog had to go back to the vet because he got a fast growing abscess from a bacteria infection that could have only happened from their dirty facility. This infection turned out to be antibiotic resistant. In order for this to be killed we had to pay for an expensive culture to be sent out. Meaning it needed to be regrown in a lab to discover what would kill it. Over a month of heavy duty antibiotics and a long healing process he has finally recovered. We informed the facility that all we want is the vet bills paid for as they were responsible. Out of the $1000+ we paid in vet bills they only offered to pay $250 to cover the cost of bill out there. As the owner told my husband, we had a vet you could’ve used for cheaper, but your wife didn’t listen as she was hysterical. I will tell you right now that is not true. If you care about your pets, do not leave them at this facility!
Very poorly operated facility! No one pays attention to direction, they take forever to answer any questions if you can even get a hold of them and they don’t take care of their fencing to keep our pets secure! Dogs escaping is unacceptable on all levels! I highly recommend taking your loved pets elsewhere!
Maria, her husband and staff really car about your dog. We have a 16 year old dog that requires a little more care. Our dog is staying for 7 days. On day 2 we picked our dog to hang out with us and Maria noticed our dog was partially deaf and had some dietary issues. She noticed on day five our dog was not eating and called us to ask if she could try something different for her diet. We said yes and our dog Brandy eat her food ssceell as Maria calling us back to let us know she ate her food.. Maria really cares and understands dogs. We would not have gotten this care in a franchise dog care back in Colorado Springs. Maria thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Scott, Cindy and Brandy.❤❤🐶
Both owners are incredibly kind and knowledgeable along with staff! We had to board our dog on short notice while we were in Pagosa Springs a few weeks ago. They took great care of our very anxious dog while we boarded her overnight. Jeff was very nice to talk to upon checking in and was very reassuring. We were so worried about her because she’s never been boarded before but Maria (I believe that is her name!) really took the time to get to know her. Prices are VERY fair and overall we had a fantastic experience!
if i could give someone no stars i would. this place should not be in buisness, the facilities were disgusting, they do not pay attention to any of the animals they hold, as well as the workers treat customers as if their time is not worth it.
They really helped us out in a pinch and our dogs didn't seem stressed like they have after some boarding experiences. Would definitely recommend!
Owner- Jeff- takes great care of his guests. Everything is always clean.
Jaime has been nothing short of amazing! Have been taking Tato to her property for the past month and it has been a great experience for both of us. She sends daily pictures of the pups which is very much appreciated!
Jaime was awesome! We’ve taken our husky to other facilities and upon the entry it had the feeling of a doggy jail! Her spot was open beautiful with plenty of space for our pup to run and play. I highly recommend her if you are gone for an extended amount of time and are concerned about the happiness of your dog-0 while you’re gone. And she sent us picture updates which I totally loved.
Very responsive. Great location with 2 fenced in acres for the dogs to play. My dog had a great time and it was great that she did not require him to be kenneled.
Our girl loved her weekend with Jamie and actually didn't want to go home. Jamie was very communicative and nice. We were very comfortable leaving our fur child with her at her awesome facility. We will be glad to visit Paws in The Pines Co again and again.
I'm so grateful I found this place. Jaime is wonderful with pets and her place is the best. Unlike other places where your pups are in a kennel or dog run, Jaime keeps them in her home and on her fenced in 3 acres in the pines of Pagosa. She takes and sends pictures and text updates on your pups experience so you can rest easy while your away. My pups had a great time and I will not hesitate to leave them with her in the future.
Took good care of our pup. Lots of room to roam in the fenced yard and good care was provided. Clearly the owner loves dogs and understands their various behaviors. So glad we found Paws in the Pines.
Perfect place for a doggy retreat!
Thank you for your review!
Wonderful doggie daycare for my pup. She was happy to be there and enjoyed her visit. I’ll visit again next time I’m in town. There’s also lots of delicious treats for your dog to enjoy.
I want to start by saying that the staff was accommodating! It was quite hard to find a place to watch my dog for the day so we could go fishing on our vacation. However when I picked my dog up, he was super hyper which I've never experienced after daycare before. He normally is exausted! I was quite confused by that because when I asked if they tried him with other dogs they said "no, we were quite slow". I've worked in the daycare business before and am a veterinary technician... I have a feeling they didn't play with dog as much as they should have. Was considering doing another day with them during our vacation but elected not to.
Our 1st time boarding our dogs. They seemed very happy after being there for3 days.
I was not able to use the day care so I don't know how their services are. However, I spent many many hours trying to schedule on the website to be kicked out, the pages would not move from one to the other, errors that are not clear, and getting ahold of amyone if you work a full time job is VERY difficult.. I canceled my trip because of it. What an exercise in frustration.
This was the dog grooming area. Staff was very professional and caring to both us and our dog. After ~2 hours our dog was buffed, fluffed and dried from her oatmeal shampoo and bath. She generally hates baths at home but was happy and playful afterwards.
Our pup Otis is notoriously difficult when it comes to nail trims. We've tried every possible method of trimming his nails at home, some groomers have just given up and sent him home with only a few nails done. Andie at All 4 Paws had all 20 nails trimmed AND dremelled in under 20 minutes with no issues. I was shocked. Otis is happy. Can't recommend this business highly enough. Thank you!
We have recently moved away from the San Luis Valley, where in the past we kenneled our 2 aged cats, and now aging dog at All-4-Paws over the past 10 years. An emergency at our current kennel required quick thinking for our boarding needs and we chose to drive 2.5 hours out of our way to board our dog, at All-4-Paws. THAT is how much we LOVE the facility, the care, but most of all the staff. If we could have moved them with us we would have!
Thanks for caring for Malu during her visit. I look forward to my next visit and so does she!!
I took my two little rescues to All-4-Paws for an overnight stay. They had never been boarded before. They came back healthy, tired from a lot of activity, and happy. They had a good experience and we will be bringing them back!
Best service best people best place to leave your loved one! My frenchie won't go anywhere else
Our dog received excellent care the week he spent at Pet Getaway. He loves water so they brought in a pool for him to play in. Their level of care far exceeded my expectations. We highly recommend them.
I have never boarded my German Shepherd before and was extremely nervous about it. Rachel was wonderful with him. I felt very safe in leaving him in her care. I have boarded him twice now with her and highly recommend this service.
Rachel is so sweet and good with the dogs, she has a big play yard with toys and separate sleeping kennels. My dog loves her so much she doesn't even cry when I'm saying see you in a week. Wonderful!
We loved Pet Getaway Daycare! They took excellent care of our two dogs for the day. Such a joy to work with! Our pups returned happy and tired (just what we were looking for)! I couldn't recommend Pet Getaway Daycare more.
We got in on short notice and we were very pleased with the care our Bella was given. Nice atmosphere and clean facility. I would recommend them to anyone! !
Very nice facility and loved my dogs care for the week she stayed here.
Rachel takes good care of our baby Bell while we are away!!
Ms. Rachel is awesome with our dog Shasta.
thank you!
We were in Durango on vacation for a few days and needed a place to board our dogs while we did some touristy things. Willow Tree was awesome, they made it super easy to make a reservation and submit all the paperwork. The facility is really nice and clean, I felt good about leaving our dogs there (this was the first time either had been boarded). Jack and Mabel seemed like they had a great time while we were gone. It made it much easier to have fun and focus on our vacation knowing we didn't have to worry about the pups. All of the employees were friendly and professional, and even made a point to ask how our trip was. Definitely recommend and will use Willow Tree in the future if we're back in the area!
We have utilized Willow Tree for both our previous dog and our current dog for years. They are very accommodating and trustworthy. They can handle all kinds of situations - medications, social anxiety, etc. They will shower your dog with love and attention. Our Black Lab always comes home happy. We want to commend them on this recent stay. Our dog has had a hard time socializing with other dogs due to being attacked when he was a puppy. The staff worked hard to help him meet other dogs in a safe and supervised atmosphere and it went so well. We will be using them every time we're out of town, no matter what. Their prices are very reasonable. $225 for 5 days.
I was visiting Durango, CO, for the first time. I needed a kennel for my fur baby so I could do tourist things that didn't allow dogs. Willow Tree was a fantastic choice. They loved having her and by the third visit, my dog was excited to be stsying with them.
I brought my beagle Missy there for the day. It was my first time leaving her. Needless to say I was very upset leaving her. They handled me and my dog with such care. They totally understood how hard it was. Sue sent me pictures, I called and they came back for a 7 o’clock pick up. They were great.
We trust all the employees with our babies. We’ve been utilizing willow tree for about 6 years and could never board anywhere else. They keep track of all vaccinations, personalities, food allergies…EVERYTHING. There is a wonderful play area where all boarders get to play. Our dog comes home happy and excited to go back. We love willow tree and all their employees!
My German Shepard is a handful. She opens gates, climbs fences, and doesn’t socialize well. Needless to say, leaving her with someone can be stressful. Willow Tree takes such good care of our girl when we are gone. She always comes home happy. The staff really get to know your dog and love them too.
Willow Tree is fantastic, they take such great care of our pup when we are out of town! She isn't always great with several dogs but they take the time to get her comfortable and introduce her slowly. They can give meds and are very qualified. Highly recommend!
Our pup loves it here!! They really take the best care and accommodate all of his special needs. So thankful for such a loving place to drip him off when we travel.
We needed doggy daycare while we visited the area and I found Willow Tree Kennels online a couple days before we arrived. Registering via phone/email was quick and easy. The staff were wonderful and gave me full confidence that our dog was in safe hands. They were incredibly friendly and did a great job of calming our dog on our arrival. They charged me a price that was more than fair. It was easy to make/cancel arrangements as needed. A trustworthy and top notch operation.
They are great! This was our pups first experience at a doggy day care. We took the all-day train and did not want him hanging out in the condo by himself. WTK sent me a mid-day text to update how he was doing. They also accommodated our drop-off and pick-up times since their hours were outside of the train departure/arrival times we were riding on. He must have had fun because he fell asleep during the car ride back to our condo.
I just love this place. I've been coming here for years. They spend a lot of time with your pets. It's beautiful country. You can also have your pets bathed and pampered while they stay. Love the fact that you can pick up and drop off at any time. They really do care about your pets.
I am SO grateful for the Pampered Pets staff and facility! I had a very last minute change in plans and Maggie was beyond gracious, patient and helpful. Maggie offered their Pick-Up service which was a saving grace for me and sent me photos and updates of my pup for the 5 days she was there! My pup came home without missing a beat which tells me she was well cared for. Pampered Pets gives such personal care for each pup at their facility and I appreciate the love and attention they provide. I will definitely use Pampered Pets again! Thank you so much Maggie and the PP staff - you all provide a wonderful and valuable service that means so much to pet owners like myself.
I have a reactive dog and another dog. Boarded them for a week when we went to Mexico. The reactive dog had to be picked up early at another kennel. Pampered Pets did an outstanding job of keeping both pups super happy so we could enjoy our vacation. We are thrilled to have a home away from home for our two dogs!
Our dogs get great care from Maggie and the Pampered Pets crew. Highly recommend!!
I hate to leave a bad review because the owner, Maggie, is very nice but I would probably reconsider sending your pet here.. we were recommended to it by another kennel in Durango that was full and didn't read many reviews beforehand and wish we did. As other reviews have said, the online photos of the beautiful grassy pastures are VERY misleading. it did not look like that at all - it looked like a sad, dark pound. When we pulled up, we seriously debated cancelling our weekend camping plans as we got such a bad feeling, but ended up leaving her since Maggie made us feel comfortable. She said she'd send us pictures over the weekend, however we didn't get any.. We ended up coming home a day early (from a 2 day trip) because we were having such bad anxiety over her care, and are SO glad we did. Her bandana and dog beg smelled / felt like they were totally soaked in her own urine (which she's never done before so I imagine she was terrified), and the blanket we gave them to keep with her was in the back and smelled like it had been washed, so I have to imagine she peed herself on that too. I asked my brother to check in on her since we wouldnt have service, but he said he called 3 times with no answer. Also, she was scratching like crazy and found flea bites on her and are pretty sure she would have gotten them there because she wasn't showing signs before. Finally, small thing, but they didn't ask for proof of her up to date vaccinations... appreciate they took our word for it, but most solid kennels require proof of that stuff. Overall, the place has fair prices and a really sweet owner, but I would not return so wanted to share that information in case helpful!
We have been using Pampered Pets for our Border Collie for many years, and it is always been a good experience for us and the dog. She is now on Meds, and they are terrific about making sure she gets her pills, and mixing her food. She gets a nice dog run and lots of fresh water. When the weather is right, she gets to play in the pond twice a day, or she gets nice walks. Always a happy girl! Love this facility!
I have 3 dogs that I have taken to Pampered Pets multiple times. I like the large kennels and I feel like Patti really cares about my pet's stay. She calls in advance to see if my dogs have any special needs for their stay. She is very accommodating. I like the large wide open space outside where the dogs are taken for walks during the day. I also love the fact that we can drop off and pick up our dogs at any time. Very convenient! The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is that it is a long drive to get there for us. I wish they were closer.
We left our three dogs with Maggie for two weeks while we traveled to the Caribbean. One of our dogs is diabetic, and Maggie was amazing with him. First off, Maggie makes you feel welcome immediately upon arrival. When I dropped off the dogs, she and her beautiful daughter were there to meet me with big smiles and warm welcomes. I was amazed at how spotless the kennels are...throughout. Maggie was totally nonplussed about our diabetic dog, Napoleon. She put our three in a large kennel with an adjoining kennel, so Napoleon could eat separately but then would be reunited with his buddies immediately. Maggie later told me she sat with him while he ate, so she could make sure he finished his food, AND so she could then give him his insulin. I highly recommend Pampered Pets, and we definitely will return.
Love this place! The only kennels I’ve put my dogs that my dogs LOVE. I was moving and came to say hi to the dogs, (they were in for 10 days) took them on a walk around the property then was able to get them to walk back into their kennel without a leash! They weren’t desperate to come home, or super anxious when I got there. Maggie is so nice, and I will ONLY bring my fur babies here! :) Must mention, the pricing is very reasonable as well. COME HERE!
Pampered Pets is a great kennel and they take care of the dogs like they were their own. I had 3 dogs and loved the big kennels that all three could board in at one time. I love that you can drop off and pick up at any time and don't have to be there by a certain time if your travel plans change. Patti really cares about the animals. Kennels are always clean. I trust Pampered Pets with my fur babies!
Sandra at Critter RnR is the best! I've been taking my little boy, Cooper (a Red Healer), to Critter RnR for about a year now. He absolutely loves going there! Sandra spoils Cooper and he loves seeing all of his other dog friends. The facility is clean, spacious, and fun for both cats and dogs. Critter RnR is also very affordable! I give my highest recommendation to Critter RnR! Sandra will take the best care of your fur babies!
I can’t say enough good things about Critter RnR! My boys absolutely loved it and I loved getting all of the sweet pictures and videos from Sandra while I was on my trip. I don’t think they wanted to leave! She loves them like I love them! She will definitely be my go to from now on!
Critter RnR is the best animal daycare and boarding facility in the 4 corners! Lots of room for the animals to play and run. Sandra's love for animals could never be questioned.
If I could give 10 stars, I would. The owner has always gone out of her way to make sure my dogs are comfortable and happy. I won’t even consider going anywhere else.
My dogs had a wonderful time! I will definitely be back and I couldn’t offer a higher recommendation.
Great place to take your loved pet to! Sandra has a beautiful dog friendly set up for an enjoyable stay! She is very attentive to the specific personalities of her guests and pairs them up for play with their best match(es). Her communication is quick and her friendliness is top notch!
Sandra is the BEST!! She takes great care of our babies!
Tater is a spoiled frenchie that receives pampering and love while I am away. Sandra is an amazing puppy host. I would highly recommend her facility if.
I am so glad we found this place for our dog. From the first phone call to pick up we were totally blown away with the service & care we and our dog received! This will be our go to for all our future adventures when we need to leave her behind. Thanks so much Critter RnR, until next time!
Found out that the hotel I booked in the area didn't allow cats last minute. Owner was very kind and flexible with timing. Great service, great attitude. Very thankful that they were so accommodating to our situation.
The Dog Ranch is an exceptional option to kennel your dog while visiting southwest Colorado. Molly "The Border Collie" has stayed twice at the Dog Ranch, once back in 2022, and again this past September 2024, and it is obvious that she enjoys her visits making new friends and being part of Kathy's "dog" family. It gives us a real peace of mind to know that she is in such great care. Thanks Kathy!
The Dog Ranch is great, easily the best dog boarding option in the Four Corners. Kathy is great with the dogs and is super accommodating. The dogs have so much space to run and play and Kathy always sends us pics and videos to let us know our little fur babies are doing well and having fun. My dogs Ducky and Bodhi always get excited when we make the turn to go to the Dog Ranch.
I always feel confident to bring my pup to Kathy. She’s very attentive and accommodating to my shy girl’s needs. Seeing how excited and happy my pup gets when we pull into her road tells me all I need to know about her experience.
Kathy is amazing! We live two hours away but will only board our pugs here. Our dogs come home happy and smelling as good as when we left them. We call it puppy camp. Thanks again, Kathy!!
Yes, I am one of THOSE Poodle people 😊 I’ve got two BIG babies that aren’t very well socialised… special diets and wild personalities! They stayed with Kathy for almost a week, she treated them as her own.. they played hard and came home happy and tired. The Dog Ranch rocks!
The Dog Ranch is a happy place for dog owners and a great place for happy dogs. So awesome to see photos and videos of your dog while they stay at the Ranch . Bessie our Lab loves it.
We left two of our dogs at The Dog Ranch for 18 days while we went on vacation. Kathy took great care of our dogs and even sent us daily updates and photos. Our dogs looked happy there and this gave us peace of mind. We are so happy to have found The Dog Ranch! We would definitely leave our dogs again, thank you so much Kathy.
Wow! What a great experience with Kathy! Our dog sitter canceled on us at the last minute and Kathy took us. She went out of her way to make extra space to accommodate our dog. Very flexible on drop off and pick-up. Sent us pictures of our dog playing out in the fields. We'll definitely be looking to board here again in the future.
We have been taking our dog to the Dog Ranch off and on for the past year, as a day visitor and as a boarder. Ravin knows when we are getting near the ranch and by the time we arrive she can't wait to get out and join the other dogs. She is a happy camper when staying at the Dog Ranch. Kathy is good with the dogs and they love her. If you just want to get your dog some socialization, this is a great place to do it. Kathy is good about keeping an eye on temperaments to make sure everyone has fun and no one is injured. We just took our newest family member to the Dog Ranch with Ravin and he loved it as well, especially the opportunity to run. if you want a quality caregiver for your dog, a place for your dog to socialize with other dogs and a place for them to run, this is the place to go. Thanks Kathy for the facility and care.
Kathy takes great care of my dogs. Your babies are in good, caring hands. Clean, well-kept facilities with lots of room to run around. Attention and care is taken to ensure your pet's physical and emotional needs. We're lucky to have The Dog Ranch!
