Coalford are such fantastic kennels. We were a bit apprehensive about leaving them, as I’m sure any dog owner is the first time, and they’d never really been away from home without us before. We did a visit a few weeks prior to their stay, met the owners and had a tour of the facilities with our dogs. However, there was no need to be apprehensive, as they were extremely well looked after. We got an update with some photos after 24 hours to let us know how they were getting on (they were doing well) which was really appreciated and put us at ease. The facilities are really clean and not like any other kennels I’ve seen before, they’re got an individual outdoor run that can be covered and an inside area that’s more like a small utility room with an infrared heater and beds. The owners are brilliant with the dogs, they took the time to learn their commands and get to know their quirks and routines. The outside area is secure and filled with fun things for the dogs to do on the multiple walks they get every day. There’s also an inside area if the weather is bad. We arrived a day early to pick them up, and the dogs weren’t even at the gate until they heard our voices. Of course, they were extremely happy to see us and to get home, but it seemed like they had as good a time as they could have.
Fantastic kennels with beautiful grounds for the dogs to enjoy. Alan goes above and beyond to make sure our furries are happy 10/10!
Lovely quiet spot with excellent facilities and care for the dogs. Owners are very friendly and we were very happy to leave the dog here for a few days while on holiday.
Perfection.. home from home for the pups.. exceptional service and friendly owners
Clean, confortable kennels. The owners take great care of the dogs.
Great location, our dogs will b there in September hopefully
Not many kennels so little availability at short notice
5 star kennel and 5 star treatment from dedicated and friendly owners. Very highly recommended
love it.
My two bengals have stayed at purfect paws a few times now and always come back happy. It’s very clean and provides a good amount of space and great views for the cats. Kayleigh takes such great care of them both and I’ve even recommended purfect paws to my mum and sister who now take their cats there too.
I have now used Purfect Paws several times and my cats have always come back very content. The facilities are excellent - a good space on two levels for each cat - and the service offered by Kayleigh is outstanding. When my kitten burst out of her crate on the way to the car (my fault, I suspect), Kayleigh ran after her and caught her. I recommend Purfect Paws without any hesitation
First time leaving a cat in cattery and a recent rehome at that , I was very anxious. Kayleigh was friendly & helpful and put my mind at ease. She even emailed with pics while I was away to let me know he was settled and ok. Picked him up today and he didn’t seem to keen to leave !! Will definitely use PP again in future. Can not fault them in any way. Excellent facilities and service !!
I am happy to highly recommend Purfect paws Hotel. Our cat Tequila stayed at PP for 10 nights. We found the facilities, staff and attention to detail excellent. The units are very Clean, spacious and heated and to top it off Arrival and departure was very well organised. We will definitely book Tequila again without doubt.
So happy I chose to put my cat Otis here for a week whilst I went on holiday!!! It is such a lovely place and the pens for the cats are spacious and visibly very clean. And when I went to collect him he was wasn’t hiding or scared, he was so chilled so he obviously enjoyed his wee holiday also. Amazing service provided for the kitty’s by welcoming, lovely, caring people! And getting WhatsApp updates with photos of him totally put my mind at ease!! Great value for money with everything provided!! I will never choose to put him anywhere else!! Couldn’t thank yous enough! Xxxx
Kayleigh is lovely with such a gentle manner. We felt quite assured when leaving our cat, Pepper, with her; the environment is so calm and caring. Also, Kayleigh is incredibly understanding and accommodating. She understands mistakes can sometimes be made when booking, yet she is happy to make adjustments if at all possible. We've had to leave our cat for extended stays and it is clear Kayleigh has come to know Pepper very well -- she spends time telling us about Pepper's stay and her behaviour (and love of attention, which Kayleigh is happy to give!). It is a fantastic cattery with a wonderful team of kind people.
Friendly and professional cattery. Kayleigh sent photos and updates of how Maddy was. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely and clean cat accommodation. Maddy looked relaxed when we returned to collect her. Settled at home no problem. She must have relaxed and enjoyed her time there as she is normally a nervous cat. Will use again when required.
Lovely cattery. Kayleigh was very understanding about our very shy cat, Clover, and reassured us with texts and photos while we were away. The pens are a nice big size and Clover had an outside area and a hidey inside area. Apparently she enjoyed watching the horses opposite in the stables 😹 This was our first time at Perfect Paws and we will book again and recommend it to everyone 👍
Purfect Paws Pet Hotel is an amazing place I would highly recommend them. Kayleigh was very friendly and does an amazing job 👏 my cat Franklin stayed for 18 days she gave us updates and sent us photos to put our mind at ease. I will definitely use her services again thanks kayleigh from Tracey and Franklin x …
Purfect Paws Pet Hotel is amazing, clean, friendly and in a brilliant location. Kayleigh was so friendly and accommodating. Booking was easy and straight forward. Our cat was in no rush to leave and with regular updates from Kayleigh we knew he was well cared for.
Had not boarded my cat and ferrets here for a few years and was surprised to see how run down the place looked this time round. During the handover, the lady did not know what to house my 2 ferrets in or what to feed them and I was unhappy that they did not have accommodation ready for receiving them. I offered to take them through and get them set up after she also said she wasn’t used to ferrets but she declined. I did not feel confident leaving them but was dropping them off on route to my holiday and so felt committed to doing so. On return, I was advised my female ferret had passed away but was assured that there had been no problems during the stay but on returning home, my male ferret was so thin and emaciated that he was falling over and unable to stand up. I took him to the vet and they advised that he had either not been fed or had been fed the wrong thing. Very distressing experience and I would not recommend this place and will not return.
I don't even know where to start... When we dropped our cat off there was no one there to receive us, we were waiting for around 20 mins. The receptionist was cold and uninterested. A week later when we came to collect, again we were left waiting half an hour for an employee to arrive and a further 15 mins waiting for said employee to retrieve our cat (it seems like the cats are left unattended when there's no customers). We were then told to come through to the enclosure, as our cat was refusing to come out. We were shocked to see the poor conditions our cat was being held in. It was a cold concrete floor with no bed or food visible, only a dirty litter tray. There was a cat flap into the 'kennel' where any other cat could enter. Our cat had a new scar on his left cheek and broken skin on one of his paws. Our vet was certain that this was injury caused by another cat. This is not a pet resort but a pet prison! Our cat was crying out, hissing and hiding behind the door. When we got him home he was shaky, parched and starving. He didn't smell good, his coat was rough and he was lighter to pick up. We could never recommend this place and we will never return.
I've been boarding my parrot at pet resort for years I highly recommend them just picked up my parrot shes happy as every. very nice staff excellent service. Thanks again for looking after my parrot.
Very upset at how we have just been dealt with. I picked up my diabetic cat from here a day early, once I got my cat home I found out that she was soaked in cat urine. She has also lost over half a kilo in weight and may need to be admitted to the vets later today. The stories we have heard from the owner have changed repeatedly. On initial contact with the manager he said he knew she was covered in urine and was waiting for the heavy rain to stop to use grooming spray on her. Just now he claims she was wet from water she had knocked over. He left my elderly cat covered in her own urine for hours. Not only has the manager been extremely unhelpful one of the front of house staff was rude to my wife. On dropping my cat off, we were told that we needed to pay extra to have her insulin administered, the retort from the girl was “well you are paying for a 5star service”. Rude and indignant. We asked for a refund for the neglected state our cat returned in to be told that wasn’t an option. Overall I have found the whole service to be disgraceful and I would never ever recommend this place again.
We left our cats at the Aberdeen Pet Resort, Peterculter, for a week in April. When we got them home, less than a 5 minute drive, their travel carriers and blankets were covered in fur and urine. Our cats were absolutely stinking of urine too! I contacted the place immediately as I felt that they had been living in their travel carriers and using it as a litter tray too! Only to be told that they were not kept in their travel carriers and they had no idea why our cats smelt so bad! It must been the journey home, all 5 minutes of it!! DO NOT PUT YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE! This place should be closed immediately!!! Definitely not a genuine one star! I would give them nothing but closure!
I am happy to take my cat here. He has an indoor area with a shelf and a small outdoor area. It is very clean. I especially like that there are no dogs here as that stresses the cats out. Nice reception with welcoming residential cats and parrot. He always seems content when I collect him.
Reading these reviews is really upsetting. I put my cat in here a few years ago, and paid extra as it was over Xmas. When I got him back he was stinking I had to bathe him. I wonder now if he was kept in his box. I feel awful that he went through that experience. Lairshill is my go to now. They are very good.
I have used this cattery three times never any problems. The staff are really attentive they let me see the room she would be staying in. We discussed feeding options and what she liked and didnt like. We paid extra for some play time on a daily basis. Your pet will be weighed when you drop them off and again on collection which i really liked. Its a little difficult to find so put on your sat nav. Plenty parking right outside the main reception
The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me, the place appears clean and I see nothing of concern (reading the 1 star reviews). When I picked my cat up last time, my cat was hissing at me, but that's a reflection on him (he was rescued by the sspca and doesn't deal with new people or small spaces) and not the facility.
Second time our cats have stayed here as an emergency and both times they have become ill straight after. We will DEFINITELY not be leaving our cats here again...even if it is an emergency. The place stinks of cat pee as soon as you walk in,it is almost unbearable. We had emailed, agreed and paid an extra fee to drop our cats off late. Upon drop off at the agreed later time the owner decided to complain about how inconvenient late drop off times were for them and had a go at us about it..... yet it had all been agreed in writing and an extra fee paid for!!! Our advice is avoid this place. Nasty smells and awful management
