Woofpack is our go-to dog training service. Melissa has been very helpful in assisting us to help our energetic chocolate lab to become a sweet, well behaved dog. Our dog is going through the process of becoming a certified therapy dog. When we adopted a new dog, Melissa was very helpful with some new training challenges before we were able to get our puppy into training. We were also very pleased with boarding services. Our dogs were treated like royalty and had a fabulous time.

Melissa and her team are amazing in all that they do, I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve done several training classes with her, enrolled my pup in daycare, and been able to board him several times with peace of mind that he’s being treated as well as if he were home with me. He loves daycare days and always comes home tired and happy. Great customer service, caring and attentive staff, and a clean and safe facility. 10/10, this business is a true gem.

Wolfpack and Melissa have been extremely helpful with my fearful dog. He had his puppy training, day care, overnight care and most recently one on one help to deal with issues. I highly recommend them. You will not find a more caring knowledgeable place.

My dog, Missy, and cat, Sunny, both stayed at Woof Pack for a week while we were on vacation. Usually we take Missy with us and someone cares for Sunny while we're away, but we were unable to do that this time. We decided on Woof Pack after getting glowing references from several people. This place is like a luxury hotel for your pets! Individual rooms for your dog and individual multi level "condos" for your cat. There's tv for them as well as music. They have generous outdoor space as well. Missy is very scared of thunder and a storm occurred during her stay. Melissa (the owner) stayed up with her til 2am to calm and reassure her! I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen elsewhere. This will be our go to from now on when we can't take our pets with us. I like knowing someone else will put that much effort into their well being.

Melissa Helms of Woof Pack Pet Services is like the dog whisperer of Boone, NC. Her place is the nicest dog boarding facility I've ever seen, and Melissa's passion for her dogs and her work shines through the moment you meet her. I highly recommend Woof Pack for dog boarding, and I recommend their dog training classes as well.

I love my dog and he goes pretty much everywhere with me, including work (he’s the greeter). Sometimes though, my wife and I take a trip and have to leave him behind for one reason or another. Woof Pack is the only boarding facility we’d leave him with and I have 100% confidence in their service and professionalism. This place has high demand (because they are so good) so planning and booking well ahead of time is advised.

Having moved to Boone 6 years ago, I was relived to find Woofpack and now consider it part of our family. My two dogs are excited to arrive and come home relaxed and happy after spending time with the kind, caring, professional staff. What a gift to our community and to my family!

Woof Pack offers a great variety of classes, from obedience to sport to overcoming fearfulness, and the class sizes are always small enough that everyone gets personal attention and can participate fully. Melissa's varied experience with training "typically-abled" dogs and "differently-abled" dogs (her personal pack includes several visually and/or aurally impaired dogs) means she can suggest training options for any dog of any background. We've completed three sets of classes with our pup and can't wait to do more; my parents have worked with Melissa in private sessions to address the reactivity and behavioral issues of their latest rescue, a German Shepherd dog, and the progress they've made with Melissa's assistance is remarkable. I highly recommend Woof Pack for anyone and any dog!

Very unprofessional. When we were finally able to get a hold of the owner, she said she was busy and would call us back that Sunday. It has been two weeks and messages left with no return phone calls. We needed help with our beloved dog and was looking forward to working with someone with her listed creditials but she only returned our call once just to say she would call back and never did. Not a way to run a business.

Woof Pack is the ONLY place I trust to leave my dogs. My dogs are my babies and even though I hate to leave them at all, I can, knowing they are completely well taken care of.

Haven't used another sitter in years! Dogwood Critter Care is the best. Eli and Bruce are phenomenal care takers. And judging by the photos they send, my fur babies love them too! Tons of different pet sitting services offered and they send updates WITH photos. Seriously the best pet sitting business in the high country. Dogwood critter care walked the dog on time, and I think the dog likes Eli more than me. He can be persnickety and headstrong, but they handled him with professionalism and care. Also very reasonable rates for the time they spend with your pet, worth it to keep a stubborn dog from making a mess while you're at work. They're flexible and well staffed too, and can work around your schedule.

Knowing that your pets are being cared for while traveling is incredibly comforting. Eli and Bruce went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with them and then bring calming energy to our gaggle of cats. Their love for animals is obvious with each interaction that they have. Bruce actually pet one of our semi feral cat; his fist time being pet by anyone other than my husband and I. If you are a pet owner you will not go wrong entrusting Dogwood Critter Care with your animals.

Fantastic company with very sweet owners. Their compassion for animals was evident in our meet and greet. Not everyone is comfortable working with exotic animals (I have a small parrot). Dogwood Critter Care made me feel completely at ease leaving my bird at home while traveling abroad. I received daily updates, including pictures and video of Apollo enjoying his visit! Have already recommended them to friends in the community, and am looking forward to using them again in the future!

I have used Dogwood Critter Care several times to care for my two cats while traveling. They are the absolute BEST pet sitters and they have made me feel so comfortable and confident leaving my sweet beans in their care. They always send detailed updates with photos for every visit and actually spend time loving on my kitties so they are happy to see us when we get home! We couldn’t say enough good things about Eli! She took such wonderful care of our two babies while we were out of town. She respected our home and went above and beyond for us. She even went as far as to salt our sidewalks and even helped us turn off water when our pipes froze up. She was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about animals. She was even prepared for my big husky and his silly behaviors. We highly recommend Eli for your pet sitting needs. Boarding my boys was always very stressful and really hard on my husky. I had such peace of mind knowing my boys were in good hands at home, stress free! We Will definitely be using her services again in the future!

The Pet Care by Eli team is amazing! We have used their services since January throughout the week while we are at work for our Golden pup, Walter. He is now almost 11 months. They are all so caring and loving toward Walter. They have listened to our needs and work with us to make sure Walter is well taken care of, and have always been flexible if our schedule changes last minute. I never worry about Walter throughout the day because I know he is in good hands. I receive updates after every visit with their comments and feedback, notifications of all the activities (potty, treats, feedings, etc), and pictures! Anyone that has ever known us even a little, understands we are very picky about the care for our pets. It is very apparent this team loves animals and understands how to care for them. Highly recommend!!!

Eli was absolutely incredible! She is so great with animals and treated our Boxer like her own. Not only did she continuously communicate with us and keep us updated, she rearranged her schedule last minute to accommodate our schedule changes. Thank you so much for everything: the new game ideas, beautiful pictures, professionalism, tips and new friendship to our girl. She also works off an app which is super easy and user friendly that makes everything so easy for planning purposes, invoices, and forms.

We trusted Pet Care by Eli right away! We had piece of mind with our 3 girls in their care and are so grateful for the thoroughness, care, experience and professionalism provided. One of our girls had surgery 2 weeks prior but we trusted she would continue healing in their care. We are so grateful!

The staff at Fetching Ridge consistently goes above and beyond for my sweet golden retriever pup, Louie, and I. One of the trainers, Emma, is so kind, gentle and caring that Louie practically leaps out his harness every time he sees her! The pictures and report cards are such a sweet touch and I know we are always in good hands for daycare and boarding.

I bring my dogs here to get their toenails trimmed regularly. The staff are very friendly and use an easy manner when dealing with my one dog who hates her nails done. They understand she is upset and talk to her and get things done without any issues. Great Job Ladies!

This place Is absolutely ridiculous. They waited til the day before boarding to tell us our vaccination proof was not sufficient that it needed to have a due date for the next one on the form. Keep in mind this came from a vets office and then they took our money and refused to refund it due to them waiting until the day before boarding to tell us this. Would not recommend to anyone. Stay far away And this is an update since they responded and tried to make it out fault. We did not cancel they waited until 4pm on a Friday to tell us the day before we were supposed to drop our puppy off. And then after we call trying to get verification on what we needed we receive a text telling us THEY are canceling our reservation after we called the vet after hours and got what they needed

Do not put your pets in these peoples hands! This business does its best to remove negative reviews to paint a better picture that what actually occurs. They will claim you’re not in their system to deflect any negativity rather than holding their team accountable. My German Shepherd has GI issues which she takes medicine for and I left her at this facility for a week while I was out of town. I provided the proper amount of food as instructed for the duration I’d be gone. When I returned, my pup was underweight and looked like she had not been cared for in the slightest. Along with her belongings were several unused bags of her food which goes to show they don’t follow any personalized instructions you give them should your pup need it. You’ve been warned.

My dog loves coming to Fetching Ridge! The staff really get to know your dog, their quirks and preferences, and all of their needs. I always feel good about leaving my pup in their hands when I go out of town, and the staff is so accommodating and willing to work with me when unexpected things arise.

They were super-sweet to our dog Ben on his first day of day care at this establishment, and everyone working there was kind, energetic, and enthusiastic. I'm sure we will be back often.

I've been taking my dog there for a year or so now and he loves it (and me too)! Everytime he realizes where we are going he gets super excited and never gets tired of it.The employees are so loving towards him and friendly to me as well! A great way to make sure that he gets the energy out that he needs and the socialization he loves even when our work schedules get hectic. They even have an app where they tag your pet in photos and it's great to see everytime.

We loved Fetching Ridge when they did grooming. We are dog-less right now, but will certainly use them should we need boarding! The staff was always attentive, caring, and professional.

I love this place! I’ve boarded my dog Milo here a couple times and they always take wonderful care of him and send me pictures! My dog enjoys the times he’s boarded here and always come back to me happy and healthy! I highly recommend this business for anyone wanting to board their pet at a trustworthy, high quality place!

My pups have loved spending time with Jessica at Happy Paws. I recently moved back to the area, and needed to find a good doggy day care. My pups are rescues with a history some anxiety at times. Jessica has been wonderful about making them feel understood & comfortable. I can see how happy they are when they realize we are back at Happy Paws to play. It’s invaluable to have such a great place for my fur babies.

I travel a lot with my dogs so I always have to find a good place for them to stay while I do my own thing. Happy Paws is the perfect place to keep your loved pets if you want them enjoy your vacation as much as you do, if not more! They are very reasonably priced and they work hard to make your dogs enjoy their stay. I always hate boarding dogs at kennels that charge extra for more play time but Happy Paws seems to make sure that your dogs get plenty of exercise with other dogs. The owners are very friendly and they do a great job of accommodating to your dogs' needs. I picked up my puppies in the morning, and they were already wiped out from running around before I came over. That's the way it should be! They even told me the issues that may have occurred (my dogs are friendly but one of mine tend to try to show dominance once in a while and they told me about those times. It wasn't a major problem but it's nice to know the owners are honest about that) As long as your pups are friendly and good with playing, then you need to check out this place. The owners treat your pups as if they are one of their own, and you can't ask for better than that. If you are in the area and need want your fur kids to have an awesome vacation while you're away, definitely check this place out. One of the best boarding experiences I've ever had. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough of Jessica and Dustin and their loving care they give to the dogs. I had a special one, fearful of people , never boarded except at a womans house who could no longer handle his energy due to her age. Jessica worked very, very, very hard with my guy and now he even gives her a kiss!!! Her kennel/home is very clean with lots of room for the dogs to play. She goes the extra mile to protect all the dogs, and is sure they are compatible before allowing them out to run and play. I am eternally grateful that she took my guy on and now if I need to leave town I know he will be happy. It's just he and I and I want him to be well cared for. She takes care of the dogs as if they were her own. I believe her background in wildlife rehabilitation helps her really understand them. Your simply the best!!!!!

We used Happy Paws to board our dogs for almost a week when we got married and are so glad we did! We have two dogs and they were able to be boarded together with some home comforts such as toys that we bought! Our dogs were in such good hands, and we received daily updates! That was such a nice extra that helped this boarding facility stand out among the rest! Happy Paws will be our go to boarding from now on! Not mention both dogs came home smelling great from the bath at the end of the week! Our pug and corgi gave their stay 4 paws up!!

I am very particular about who I leave my dogs with. Dustin and Jessie are big animal lovers to not just their own dogs but other dogs well. My dogs had a great visit at Happy Paws and I will not hesitate to take them back next time I’m out of town. I highly recommend the Happy Paws Dog Den. They will love your babies just as you do!

Happy Paws is a great place to board dogs! Our two anxious dogs love it there. Jessica really understands dog behavior and how to make every dog feel welcome and comfortable. We have used many dog boarding facilities and Happy Paws is the best.

Highly recommend this dog care facility for that other member of family. We have kept our dog with them for many months. We have seen wonderful improvement in our dog socially as the owners carefully match dog personalities, and work with each one's situation. Jessie, the co-owner with her husband Dustin have recently gone to great lengths to expand their facility while raising the bar of care for all the dogs that stay with them. Between them they have many years of dog care service, in both a veterinarian and short/long term dog stay care facility. Give them a shot with your pet...you won't be sorry.

We really prefer to take our guys along but sometimesthat just can't be done. This past weekend we attended an out of state wedding and left our dogs with Jess and Dustin. I never worried about their care, got regular updates and came back to happy dogs! Happy paws dog den is perfect with spacious clean facility, kennels like mini bedrooms, big hilly yard (just what they are used to) and lots of features to keep our guys safe and happy. We will definitely use them again.

Our dogs loved staying with Jessica during an extended stay. Jessica did an amazing job taking care of our senior dog who has special needs. She helped our shy dog socialize with the other dogs too. We loved the updates and communication. Thank you Jessica!

We had a wonderful experience with Happy Paws. Our dog is a senior lady Bassett Hound with medical needs. Jessie and Dustin were very accommodating to her needs. We were able to take a worry free vacation as they updated us daily with texts and pictures. We highly recommend Happy Paws!!!!

They too great and loving care of our cat. It's very hard to find a place that truly provides the special care cats do. All God's Creatures Great & Small did not let us down. They stayed in touch with us every day with texts and pictures and I could see from the photos that Avery felt more and more comfortable there. I wouldn't hesitate to board her there again.

All God’s Creatures staff did a lovely job serving all 3 of my animals at once. When we booked for 1pm, we were told pickup could be as late as 5pm but they were done early and ready a little after 3pm! I informed staff we were fighting a flea battle and all three pets were given Capstar and flea shampoo and came home smelling like flowers! You can feel a massive difference in the health of their coats and the attention to detail that my furbabies received. Not to mention, they also did a great job trimming all of their nails without cutting into the quick/without going too far. The fleas were so bad on our dog that they informed me they washed him twice with no additional cost. A little added touch of love happened when staff called to tell me the animals were ready for pick up. She said, “your *babies* are clean and ready for pick up!” 10/10 loved the care and service my fur-children received! We will be back! Thank you very much to Tereasa and each staff member that helped rid them of these fleas!!! ❤️🙏🏼

We boarded our Boone last week. The check in and pick up process was so easy. They greeted Boone with smiles and loving on him he went right to them. When we went and picked him up he greeted us but went right back to the staff. Almost like he didn’t want to leave. Which made me feel good cause I know he was well taken care of. I highly recommend All God’s Creatures Great and Small.

They are amazing! They were the only place that could help us trim our guinea pigs nails! I should have thought of them first! The young lady that helped was so patient and sweet!! 10/10

Our dogs, Penny and Ziggy, have a wonderful time staying at All Gods Creatures!! We feel very blessed to have a place where the staff care for and love on our girls just like they are at home, while we are out of town. We have absolutely no worries about Penny and Ziggy while we are on vacation!! It’s a wonderful place and I would recommend them to anyone!! 😊😊

I don't how to express how great this place. We are so happy we found them to watch our ferrets. The prices are reasonable & staff super friendly. They text you pictures of fur babies. Highly recommended them. They truly a god sent.

I absolutely love these ladies! We adopted a dog, we set an appointment for him to be groomed. I was telling Debra how bad his nails are. She let us bring him immediately to clip his nails. His appointment was 2 weeks out! Absolutely recommend this business!

They were amazing with our elderly lab Gator. I called as a new client and was able to get an appointment the very next day! They were very kind and we will definitely be switching all of our fur babies to All Gods Creatures!

Rick is delightful. He and his team took excellent care of our two miniature dachshund fur babies for a week while we stayed in West Jefferson, NC. Destiny did a great job grooming our little fur babies, as well. We are already planning to have our pups stay again at RDR when we visit again in a few months.

We recently visited some friends in Lansing and took our dog Flukie for a grooming at RDR and couldnt be happier with the results. The staff was friendly and wonderful to do deal with, they did a terrific with our 7 year old Border Collie. He had a wash, brush, and his hair trimmed, all for a fair price. Thank you so much for your hard work, we’ll be sure to stop by again next time we’re in the area.

It's the best place in Ashe County to board your pet and they have excellent grooming facilities. The prices are reasonable and the care is excellent. We've been bringing our pets for over thirteen years and have never been disappointed at the level of care.

We took our 12 week old Great Pyrenees there as we went camping for a week. They treated her like a queen, and bathed and brushed her before we picked her up. Great job gang, keep it up

My dog has pretty severe separation anxiety so I was a little nervous about having to board him. A friend recommended Pet Prairie and after meeting with Lora I felt very comfortable with our dog staying there. He did fine. She sent pictures of him to ease my worry. I knew he was in good hands and didn’t worry. Lora is very knowledgeable about dogs and very compassionate. I’m very thankful to Lora and her staff for taking such good care of him. Our dog has found his new “home away from home.”

We would absolutely recommend anyone to use Pet Prairie for their Dogs! Our two dogs Love to stay here. We can leave them here and not worry about them at all. They are in good hands and just make them selves at home!

I highly recommend Pet Prairie/Lora. I'm a dog trainer, so I'm pretty picky about who I trust with my Lab and German Shepherd. I have no question that the well being of the dogs in her care is her top priority. When my shepherd got an upset stomach during her first stay, she went above and beyond to make her special meals to help her feel better. We love Pet Prairie!

The best place you could possibly leave your dog! Lori learns about each dog personally and is so Knowledgeable of dogs. I am picky about where I leave my standard poodle and I can always trust Pet Prairie to provide excellent care. Buffy had rather stay there than to come home😊

We like to call it Summer Camp for our pup who runs right in without even looking back. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable... true animal lovers... sometimes we feel our pup would rather stay at the Pet Prairie than come home! Absolutely the best place for your pet!

Shivonne did a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs! Our first meet and greet was about an hour long, and she was very thorough gathering information about our dogs and how we need them to be cared for. When she stayed with them, she kept in contact regularly about how they were doing. She also sent regular pictures and videos. She did a wonderful job, and we will absolutely have her stay with our dogs again!

Shivonne did an extraordinary job in taking care of Chauncey. She came to where we were staying and took the best care of our Boykin Spaniel, which is our pride and joy. We know this because #1 she sends you updates throughout the day. She also sent me a "thank you" for keeping Chauncey after the first day, which included a picture she had taken. The best reason I know though that she was taken good care of was because on the second day, this mama's girl had no problems with us leaving her with Shivonne. My whole family was in disbelief because Chauncey does not like to be left behind. If you are going to the Boone area and need a dog sitter, Goodness Gracious Extraordinary Petsitting is hands down who to call! Shivonne is a truly wonderful, caring and compassionate person with true integrity when it comes to caring for your pet and your home while you are away. I booked her to do overnight stays with my pets, mainly due to separation issues my senior dog can have, and it was the best decision I've made with pet care in a long time! I came home from a week long trip to very happy dogs, a wonderful welcome home note, and a very neat and tidy home. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Shivonne and her services. Shivonne has been marvelously conscientious, dependable, responsive to requests, affectionate and loving with my three pets. When our pet sitter retired to work full time for a veterinarian, we asked her to recommend a replacement sitter. She said the only person she would leave her pets with was Shivonne Quintero. We called Shivonne for an interview and were blown away by her professionalism, compassion, and positive attitude. One extended trips she sent text messages or photos periodically to reassure us that all was well with our 15 year old cat. She even won him over and allowed her to pet him; he is very aloof and never allows anyone to touch him so that was a major testament to the time and attention she must have showered on him in our absence. We moved last summer and just recently tried a new petsitter here. The exact opposite of Shivonne - no emergency care authorizations, no questions about health or special routines, no mention of a pet carrier or special toys, no updates in our absence, never checked to be sure we got home when scheduled to be sure someone would be taking care of our cat. I'm sure he was fed and the litter box was clean, but nothing beyond that. We really, really miss Goodness Gracious Extraordinary Petsitting and can only hope to keep looking for a petsitter that is half as good as Shivonne. We heartily recommend her services for any pet and especially for one that needs a little additional love and care.

After trying out a few different pet sitters in the area, I'm so grateful to have found GGE Petsitting! The business owner is responsible, accessible, warm and a fantastic care giver. I love being able to leave my cats at home in their familiar environment and I feel completely comfortable and at ease knowing that they are in Shivonne's care while I'm away. The online reservation system is very well-organized which makes booking and communicating a breeze, and I can always get in touch to check in while I'm away. I trust her completely and highly recommend this service.

I had to leave my American bully King with Monica while I went outta town for a family emergency, Monica kept me updated on king, also sent me pictures and she treating him as her own and was so wonderful with him, this is the only place my baby king would ever stay, she absolutely loves what she does.

I left my dog with her while I went out of town on vacation last year and I will leave him again this year. Very professional and will continue to have my business for all of my family vacations. Looking for a great place to keep your dog while you are away look no further. This business deserves 10 stars.

I typically travel with my dogs but this time they couldn’t come along for the adventure. Lucky dogs kept them safe while we were away. Would recommend.

We were absolutely blown away by the entire experience boarding with Wilkes wags and wiggles!! We were in town due to hurricane and the owner Amanda was so kind and helpful to us! We’ve boarded many places previously but never experienced this level of hospitality and professionalism. It was so nice to see pictures of our dogs everyday having fun , and eased our minds while we were away. We would absolutely love to board here again in the future! This is the first time leaving our fur baby overnight. We went out of the country and his stay was going to be long. (12 nights) I was so worried how he would do but Amanda and her staff took such wonderful care of our boy! Every single day they posted so many pictures and it eased my mind and made me smile to see how happy our O’Malley was during his stay! He has made so many new fur friends and I know he won’t mind going back in the future! I highly recommend Wilkes Wags and Wiggles for boarding or daycare needs! They love your fur babies just as much as you do!❤️

A blessing to find!! We recently have a new puppy in the house. Both my boyfriend and I work full time, so having a doggy daycare in Wilkes is perfect for our pup! He goes and gets all his energy out while we are working and have a tired pup when we pick him up! She is so sweet to him and he loves going to see Ms. Amanda!! ♥️ always clean and organized!

If I could give WWW more than five stars I would. WWW staff has been so good to my sweet boy. Before we even get parked Boomer is wanting to jump out of the car because he is so excited. WWW and their staff communicate with pictures throughout the day and I think that is one of my favorite things about them. I am able to see how much fun my boy is having. We love WWW!!!

Great 1st experience boarding our 3 dogs here! Extremely good care, shared photos several times a day to keep me posted on them!Staff played and petted them often, Facility was very clean with separate areas for play outdoors! Will definitely use again and highly recommend for anyone who is nervous about boarding!

I STRONGLY recommend them! My senior dog had a stroke earlier in the year, and even though she has fully recovered she needs 24-hour supervision and has a lot of medication to take. Amanda was awesome, she constantly posted pics of Katy in her app and kept a detailed log of what medications were given, by whom, and when. It was amazing to be able to keep up with Katy to that degree! And it relieved a LOT of stress while we were gone. She also makes a point to keep senior dogs separate from the younger and more active dogs, so Katy only spent time with other dogs that were on her level.

Excellent! Our two bulldogs stayed with Wilkes Wags and Wiggles. They accommodated our reactive female with no issues as they will keep them separate from other dogs at all times so I didn’t worry a bit. The facility is super clean, no dog smell at all. Also, the runs they stay overnight in are clean and roomy. The best part for me as the pet parent are the picture updates I received (via the app) very often throughout their stay. The app is super user friendly. I felt that Amanda cared very much for our pups and remembered even the little details about their personalities that we shared with her prior to our visit. We will DEFINITELY use Wilkes Wags and Wiggles again!

We recently acquired two puppies and finding this hidden gem has been so wonderful. Adley and Gunnar (any Orioles fans?) have been to daycare 3 times now and absolutely love it. They make the process very easy for us humans, and provide a safe, fun, loving environment for the pups to play. We always get tons of pictures, and they always come home exhausted. Everyone's happy!!

10/10 would recommend! They allowed us to drop our dogs for the day, accommodating for a non-usual day care day so we could take our young family on an adventure while we were in town at the local campground. Very friendly, Reasonably priced, seamless pickup and drop off, easy to make reservations through the app, sent multiple photos, and our dogs seemed to have a great time! Thank you for the hospitality!!

Toby had an awesome stay while we were away! Amanda realized that he would benefit from one on one companion care and upgraded him immediately without charge. We received photos daily throughout his visit to document his activities. I feel like they truly care about these little babies and take care of them like they are their own. I highly recommend them if you want a worry free stay. Toby will definitely be back when we need them!

I have used mountain mamas for the last few years while vacationing with my dog and will continue to do so as long as she is in business. I'm very surprised at some of the negative reviews. I have found Jackie to be very accommodating should I need to drop my dog off after regular business hours. She understands a lot can go wrong during a 12-hour drive from Florida. I've never had a problem with taking my dog for day trips during her stay as I call the day before to verify best times for pickup and drop off. As far as people saying she's better with dogs than people to me that's a big plus. I'm paying her to take care of my baby not cater to MY every whim. If Jackie is taking care of your fur baby there is no reason to call every hour and check in as they are being well taken care of. I also very much like the fact the kennel is attached to her home as God forbid something were to happen she is right there for the animals.

We have used Mountain Mama's for 6 years. Our dogs love the facility and love Jackie. As does our entire family. Never have had a problem. Some reviewers have said some harsh things, but my guess is they are high maintenance, entitled, demanding people with bad manners. I'm sure they complain wherever they go.

The owner, Jackie, might be good with dogs but certainly not with people. I have never had an experience like this, which came totally out of the blue and without provocation. At first I thought she was having a bad day, but by the end, I ended up having to rush there after an international flight to get my dog out of there. Avoid at all costs. Facility is ok, owner is not sane. So disappointed I don't have words.

I’d like to give Jackie 5 stars! I’ve tried many pet boarding places-I’m picky. Jackie knows the needs of dogs. And I really like how this boarding facility is set up! Jackie a treasure!

This place is completely and utterly unprofessional. Management is rude and unwilling to even return a phone call when I wanted to check on how things were going with my pup. When I got my baby back she was limping on one foot and had her tail tucked. She NEVER has acted that way. I’m not sure what’s going on at this place, but based on the behavior of the owner I bet it’s a drug front. If you value your pet’s health stay away.

***DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY*** I moved to NC and boarded my hound here. I dropped him off mid-March and was not allowed to see him a single time until the end of APRIL. If I could I would give her a ***ZERO***She kept denying me access and then charged me for the days she denied us to pick him up.... I finally had to call the police to get my dog back, as Jackie would not give him back. She is rude and in addition she charged me for food and treats that she gave him without my written consent. In addition, my dog weighed 72 pounds, and in just a month and a half, he has lost 15 pounds. The worst is that this is my young daughter's dog too and Jackie caused her to cry for days and DID NOT CARE. I PAID $690.00 FOR HER TO HOLD OUR DOG AND NOT ALLOW TO VISIT, AND NOT TO RETURN HIM WITHOUT ASSISTANCE FROM POLICE. ****DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY*** I should have read the reviews here before boarding my furry friend here.

This is not the place to board your beloved four legged friend. Jackie cannot keep any employees and has fired four employees in five months. This has obviously taken a toll on her. Taking care of numerous pets by herself and with common-sense lacking employees clearly explains her psychotic tendencies. Stay away at all costs!

I was trying to find a shelter for my dog as a last minute emergency. I got a five minute lecture on how to treat and take care of my dog. I would give my dog the world if it was possible. I didn’t need a speech on how to treat dogs.

Our dogs enjoyed their time at this lovely mountain retreat, and we were very pleased with the care given to them. Everyone at Mountain Mamma's is friendly and really cares about the pets. Thank you!
