Highly recommended. Reliable, reasonable and easy to communicate with. Superb care of our spaniel from a puppy to fully grown dog. Three daily walks, great handling and training where required. Happy owners, happy dog.
Sam was very kind and took both my dogs at quite short notice and looked after them for two days they seemed very happy and I will certainly ask her to have them again.
This so called dog sitter is a time waster. Totally unresponsive after saying they'd have our dog for a week, and because of their ignorance a family member will go without a holiday, not happy.
Sam is amazing with the dogs. Friendly, flexible and v good value for money
Thankyou so much! It's so lovely to know that you are happy with Jimmies Chew. Sam
Rest assured your loved one is in safe hands with these guys. If you're in need of a reliable service in Bristol then you're looking in the right place. We have used Friends for Pets pet sitting services for our dog Tilly for a couple of years now and we highly recommend them. Jim clearly cares for her and the other dogs; as do the other dog sitters we've met and soon to use. Many thanks
Jim has been looking after my Labrador now for 6 months. Every time i drop my dog off,he cant wait to see Jim and spend the day with him and other dogs he may be looking after that day. When i first started looking for a dog sitter the most important factor to me was knowing that my dog was in safe hands and when first meeting Jim i felt relaxed and completely at ease knowing this was the case. Anyone looking to leave their dog for a day/evening/week or even longer then they should look no further than Jim. Quality service.
I used Friends for Pets South Bristol as I needed a pet sitter for my cat over the Christmas period and for a short break over new year. The gentleman I initially spoke to over the phone was very helpful and the lady who came out to my house was lovely. The service is good value for money and they were very accommodating to the needs of my elderly cat! I am using them again this Christmas and am confident that they will be my go-to pet sitters from now on! Highly recommended.
We are thrilled that we found Friends For Pets. They have become a very important part of our precious dog's life and have provided her with safety, stability and love through some very difficult (and happy) times! Lucy and her team in Bristol are the best ever and we wouldn't use any other daycare or dog walking company. FFPs provide a service that is just like being at home, ensuring Dora gets to have loads of enriching fun with kind people and dogs her own size. As pet parents, it is so important to us to know that the pet carers are animal centred and first aid trained. They don't take loads of dogs at once and Dora has always been able to meet other dogs first and become familiar with them before we make a booking. The pet carers use their own homes and gardens so Dora truly feels at home which is wonderful. Crucially for us, the pet carers at FFPs treat Dora as one of the family, with love and kindness, just as they would their own animals. They have been able to mirror Dora's own, at home routines in their own homes, even allowing Dora to share their bed when she's stayed over. This has made a massive difference to Dora, and us, during stressful times like moving house, where stability has been so important. Dora has made friends for life at FFPs and adores her carers and her doggy pals. In the last year, we have moved home twice and Dora has had some serious health worries. FFPs were there for us throughout, offering flexibility, support and genuine care and compassion. Thank you so much FFPs!!!
Bristol Friends for Pets Dog Boarding have been great for my troubled Staffie/Patterdale Terrier cross Dex. Gill looks after him and although she has seen him at his worst she is still willing to look after and love him to bits whilst he stays with her even though he is a difficult case to look after and deal with!
I use Friends for Pets to look after our cats if we're going away. The service is great and very professional. I was even asked well in advance of Christmas if I'd need any visits around Christmas and New Year just so I could be scheduled in! I appreciated this reminder and the personal service.
Excellent service. Friends for Pets South Bristol has provided great Dog Walking and Dog Boarding services for me. Always reliable, my dog comes home happy and relaxed
Jim is brilliant and I know I can rely on him when I need our pet to be looked in on and walked in the day. I use the service very ad hoc so it fits in with us brilliantly. Thank you :)
There are absolutely brilliant and meets all your needs and Lucy is amazing organising everything and sue the woman who cared for my mums dog Cindy was outstanding and would recommend them to anyone and everyone and will definitely be using them again 5 stars service
Fantastic care for our pooch every week ..you certainly can't go wrong if you leave your pup with Sami
Dan has been amazing with our older, 3-legged dog, who was sometimes a little too tired to walk. Sadly she has passed away now, but when he visited her he was always kind and very compassionate towards her; going at her pace and never pushing her too much. Often he would just sit and play with her or comfort her if she didn't fancy moving much that day. I am so pleased to have found Dan as her dog walker in her final months of her life. He was just what she needed. Thank you Dan. I do highly recommend Dan and Little Critters Petcare.
Dan has been wonderful with our dogs! He has been very accomodating in helping with walks and also popping in to our home to check on the dogs whilst out for the day. The dogs are always so happy to see Dan. Very pleased with Little Critters :)
Left message for info and call back about being a new customer. Didn't have the decency to contact me. I've found someone else so I have nothing good to say about Little Critters.
Looked after our cats so well last week, they didn't seem to pleased to see us home! Excellent service, thank you
She loves you too
Thank you for your review :-)
We have been meaning to leave this review for some time now, but life has got in the way (sorry Lynn and Team). It is also worth mentioning that I only ever leave reviews if I feel really strongly about providing feedback, either positive or negative. THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY A POSSITIVE ONE! When we came to the realisation that due to changing circumstances, we needed to get a dog walker in for our treasured Golden Doodle Floki, I can't say I was too happy about the idea of strangers in our home and trusting others with his care. From the onset, when Lynn came to our home to introduce herself and her business, we instantly felt more comfortable about the prospect. Not only was it clear that she deeply and personally, loved our fury friends, but also that she took this responsibility very seriously and really engaged with her clients to find out what was important to them and their dogs. Floki was picked up by Lynn and her team twice a week for the shorter training trek (due to his young age), because we wanted him to be left alone for as short a period as possible, Lynn suggested picking him up first and dropping him off last so that he could chill with his new pals for as long as possible. For a period of time when Lynn injured herself, her right hand lady Emily used to come and pick him up and drop him off. I remember once watching back at the Pup-Cam footage and seeing her giving him the sweetest goodbye and cuddle before she left him. It was only for around 6 months that we needed support, but during this time Floki build an unbreakable bond with the Wags and Woofs team. To this day (almost 2 years later) when we bump into Lynn and Emily in the park, Floki goes really funny and does some sort of a low-down crawl around them with uncontrollable happiness. I don't think he really does that with anyone else and I think it is a reflection of the love and respect that they build with their doggy clients. Another thing that we really valued was, come first walk they had set up a dedicated WatsApp group so they could provide us with updates on all his antics and we would know he was having a good time... and what fun they had! Lynn and her team used to celebrate dogs birthday with fun activities and even threw Christmas party where the team and the dogs got dressed up, tell you what we had some funny pictures that day for sure. Lynn is also extremely knowledgeable on our canine friends and was always happy to offer friendly advise when we needed it. Thank you so much for everything Lynn and team
Lynn and Amy chaperoned our dog for our wedding and we just cannot recommend Waggs’n’Woofs’s enough! I felt like I’d known Lynn for years from the first time I met her as she’s so lovely and I felt exactly the same when I then met Amy for the first time on my wedding day. Not only did they take amazing care of our fur baby (he absolutely loved them) they really went out of their way to make our day perfect and we have so many bonus photos/videos they took which have been really special for us to look back on. Lynn has so much experience it felt like I’d bagged myself an extra wedding coordinator as part of the package and Amy went out of her way on the day doing things like helping me with my dress and bouquet etc which was completely above and beyond expectations. They also worked seamlessly with our other suppliers and we had absolutely no worries on the day about our boy as we knew he was in the best hands, also having the best day of his life! If you want to have your dog at your wedding, Waggs’n’Woofs are your people ❤️
If your looking for a dog walker j cannot recommend Lynn and her team enough. They've been working with our little one for the last 6 months now and I definitely think it's the highlight of her week going out with them. She used to be quite a scared little pup but the training they've done on the walks and the new experiences they've shown her have really brought her out of her shell. Lynn was also fantastic giving us advice on issues and concerns we've had as first time dog owners. Her support and advice during our dogs first heat was invaluable too us.
I have never met a more professional team in my life than that of Lynn and Emily who chaperoned Milo for our wedding. Lynn’s the most amazing, dog-mad lady I have ever met and I knew after five minutes on the phone with her that we had made the right choice for who should help make our dog part of our big day. From start to finish, Lynn was amazing! Not only meeting our dog and going through every fine detail to make the day was perfect, but also being someone I could call on for help and advice when wedding planning as her knowledge is fantastic. Milo, our dog, instantly hit it off with Lynn and we knew he would be in good hands with her all day. As our wedding was a surprise, Lynn was fabulous at keeping the secret and making up all the lies to my family members when collecting Milo on the morning of the wedding. On the day, I didn’t have a single worry about our dog and when I did see him, he was always wagging his tail and enjoying the company. We knew we wanted our dog at our wedding and Waggs ’n’ Woofs was the second thing we booked after the venue to ensure we had the best people looking after our dog. We are so glad we booked them as it just made the day more perfect. Do not hesitate if you want your pooch with you on your special day - you won’t regret it!
Waggs ‘n’ Woofs are a dream come true. We’ve been using their dog walking services for close to a year now and can’t fault them or the care they provide to our Rough Collie. So when it came to getting married and having our dog join us as Ring Bearer, we jumped at the chance to entrust Waggs ‘n’ Woofs and their Wedding Service. Lynn sat down with us several times throughout the course of the year to confirm our wedding plans and what we needed from her, which helped the day run so smoothly. She spoke with our photographer throughout the morning, working with him to ensure we got the shots we wanted. And the Registrar couldn’t believe just how organised Lynn was. Kai was an absolute superstar on the day but we know that’s down to how much work Lynn and her daughter did with him behind the scenes and before his grand entrance to get him settled, focused and ready to shine! If you get the chance, definitely opt for their ‘flower frame’ add-on; all our guests loved it and these are some of our favourite photos we’ve seen so far. We love that Lynn also sent us TONS of photos of Kai and our ceremony that they quickly snapped throughout the day. They might just be phone pics but there are some real gems in there - we’ll definitely be framing a few! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Waggs ‘n’ Woofs to anyone in search of a fantastic, reliable and cost effective dog walker… and now we can highly recommend them as the perfect chaperone for getting your dog to your wedding. They’re well worth every penny and it was a joy to have Kai join us for our special day.
Wow! Just wow from start to finish! Lynn is absolutely amazing and so are her team. We wanted our Dogs at our wedding and was recommended Waggs n Woofs - Lynn met with us a couple of times before the wedding and kept us updated with what the plans were and ideas that other couples had done. She was full of enthusiasm and made us and more importantly our dogs comfortable. Having pictures from her afterwards as well was fab because we could see what the dogs had been up to. Would recommend to everyone and anyone! Thank you for making our wedding day extra special.
I have had the pleasure of being part of the Waggs n Woofs "family" for nearly a year now. Being a first time dog owner has been lovely..... but there have been anxieties like "who will look after my puppy when I'm out and about". That has been solved by Waggs n Woofs. I now wave Nelly off knowing that she will meet her doggy friends and caring family. I have regular pictures through the day of her events - which include a secure lead walk, a sniffing treat trail and the best so far has been the doggy agility/assault course. Nelly arrives home clean and tidy and ready for a nap. I know she is safe and incredibly well looked after. Waggs n Woofs love my puppy - and I love them. xx
I have absolutely no doubt in Lynn and her fantastic teams capabilities. From day one Lynn and Emily have taken so much time to understand my dog and his needs, he is known to be reactive with other dogs and not only do they walk him but work on techniques to better his ability to meet other dogs. We have trialled a group walk today after Lynn and Emily learning his behaviour and he smashed it! I also highly recommend the bridal chaperone service, loads of meetings to understand the dog, what I wanted and needed and how to make the day run smoothly. Without a doubt one of the best decisions of our wedding day! Thank you all!
What an amazing service!!! Lynn and her team are so enthusiastic about our dogs. They are treated as if they were their own. Lots of positive praise and interaction. Each walk is enriching and clearly thoroughly planned. I love the updates we receive. Their humour is great and puts a smile on my face. My dog is well looked after, and exercised correctly. I’m so relieved and glad I came across this service. No longer do I have to worry about the level of care or exercise he receives while I’m at work. I couldn’t recommend Lynn or her team more.
I cannot say enough good things about Waggs 'n' Woofs. From our first chance encounter on the street, Lynn and her team have been professional, friendly and reliable. Lynn spent a lot of time finding out about our dog, and matching him to her walking groups. They have been taking him out on Training Treks for the last month, and the difference in him is incredible - he is quieter when he's out and about, and less inclined to be over enthusiastic in his encounters with other doggies. Lynn and the team really care about the dogs that they walk; I wouldn't hand him over to just anyone, but I have complete trust in them and that is really important to me. I thoroughly recommend Waggs 'n' Woofs, having them walk our dog is probably the best choice that we've made for him!
Best dog sitters ever!!! Very good with dogs and gives them lots of love and fun whilst I was away
Fantastic service goes above and beyond would highly recomend
We've just had a great experience here. My first time using kennels and I was incredibly nervous about leaving my very anxious dog in kennels for the first time. The whole experience was great! I went for a look around first and the staff were really lovely and reassuring. I like that they have small opening hours so the dogs aren't too stressed with visitors as some kennels I've visited previously don't have these boundaries in place and the dogs seem to bark constantly. When I came to drop Kezia off I felt like the staff really listened to me and I mentioned about not walking her if she was too stressed which they took on board. I felt like they wanted to do what was best for her and when I came to collect her they had managed to take her out that morning for the first time which showed to me that she had relaxed a little (more than I was expecting!). She seems happy and content now we are home and I can tell that it hasn't had a detrimental affect on her behaviour which I was also concerned about. Also it's the nicest environment I've visited kennels wise, cute signage and nicer looking kennels. Really happy with the lovely caring staff and environment. Such a relief to know we have somewhere safe and responsible to take her when needed. Thank you Cottage Kennels Team!
My staffy, Harley and PugX, Yaddle, seem to have had a positive experience. We were let down last minute by our regular dog sitter and I called to discuss my dogs and their needs before booking. They were very positive and helpful on the phone, understanding that my dogs have never been left with anyone they don’t know and due to their histories (both are rescues) can be nervous around other dogs. My husband and I both work from home so they’re never alone! We dropped them off and I was so anxious about leaving them but the place was clean and the staff were nice. I collected them today and they were calm and happy. I’m so grateful for their last minute saving the day and will definitely use them again.
Mike and the team at The Cottage were wonderful with our 10 month old, energetic, golden retriever puppy. From accommodating us as really short notice and then looking after Raffy for another 24 hours when our journey home was complicated, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Raffy was clearly loved and well looked after, and we’ve come home with a happy and more chilled out puppy! Highly recommend. A big thank you to all the team.
We left our then one-year-old spaniel with them three times last year. It's an anxious time when you first leave your dog at a kennels, but we need not have worried. The staff are lovely and thoughtful, and we returned each time to find our energetic youngster happy, healthy and contented. She definitely wants to go back this year.
You can rest assured that your dog is safe & well cared for here. We welcomed home a happy dog. The staff are lovely. Our terrier is very lively & mischievous & was injured at a previous kennels. We will never take him anywhere else now. Many thanks from Stanley, Carol & Dan 🐾 …
The staff at Cottage Kennels are wonderful! Our elderly Dachshund always seems very happy when he comes home, and the staff genuinely take really good care of him. Our cat also goes to the cattery. I won't pretend that he likes being inside all day, but he never seems stressed as a result, and staff are aware that he is an escape artist! The kennels are very careful with our dog's medication, and feeding. I would recommend Cottage Kennels to other pet owners.
Don't use this kennel, they are more about money than looking after you pet and yhere welfare, my dog is nervous, so we took him out to meet them, only one Assistant cam out and spent less than 5 minutes with him when I voiced my concerns regarding his last stay instead of arranging to have a proper meet again with accused him of being aggressive, which he is not and has never been whilst in their care I was told to go somewhere else. If I could give no stars then I would.
My boy has been going here since he was a young pup! He’s now 2 and he’s adored by the team, it’s nice to see him bonding with them so well! He always leaves happy and looking great! They see past his breed (American bully XL) and see him as the gentle giant that he is, he gets plenty of loving and they truly do care about animals! I highly recommend cottage kennels and cattery, I know he’s in safe hands whilst I’m away and it’s so reassuring to know my furr baby is well looked after so I return to a happy boyo! Absolutely cracking team/family and it’s very clear to see they don’t do this just because it’s a job… they certainly have passion in what they do x
Excellent place Our dog Molly has been coming here for years. Staff friendly kind and treat her just like there own. Clean, tidy, loving kennels. No problem to big. Always feel so reassured. Cater for diet needs and medical ones too. Top place. xx
Was really expecting something great based on the reviews. I visited ahead of my boy staying with them, BUT I was very disappointed with the size, tiny spaces..and learnt that the dogs are not walked/exercised/no play/! Taken for 2 short walks around the pen (small pen) on the lead to toilet - nothing more. The lady's response was "they jump around in the pens all day and tire themselves out, so need for walks"...I cancelled my boys booking immediately afterwards. There was one small dog jumping up and down none stop at the fence in his pen and the lady said "oh he is here is here for 3 weeks and he jumps up like that all day long" :( All I could think of was caged animals walking in circles all day long..poor things. Music also playing very loudly..how is this OK? Staff were nice, friendly, and the place looked clean - but not a place I'd feel at all comfortable leaving my boy. They need exercise - play - space!!!
