Sofia and Nicole were excellent sitters to our 2 playful cats (an adult tabby and a BIG Maine coon kitten). They gave us a couple updates daily with pictures, as we requested. They were easy to communicate with before and throughout the entire sit. When we came home, our apartment was tidy (probably neater than we left it!) and our cats were relaxed and happy. They were also kind enough to leave us with some sweet bandanas for our boys. We were super pleased with the quality of care, and would happily recommend Sofia and Nicole to anyone in need of a pet or house sitter!

Hilary was a fantastic pet sitter for our cat - you would be so lucky to have her care for your pet and home. She took exceptional care of her and our home. Hilary played so much with her and took the best care. She was communicative, easy to coordinate with, and left everything super clean for us when we came back. We were very lucky to have had Nia for our recent house sit. She communicated well before the sit and arrived as planned. We shared a meal before we left which gave us time to get to know her and tell her about the house and our pets. After we left it soon became clear the cats loved Nia and the attention she gave them. We were kept informed throughout her stay with regular updates and video clips of what they were up to and how the garden was growing etc. We highly recommend Nia as a pet/house sitter and we would certainly have her back should the opportunity arise. Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.

Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.

We literally cannot say enough positive things about Susan and Miranda! They are the best! From start to finish, they did an amazing job communicating with us, giving our 3 (somewhat needy) cats extremely high quality care and tons of attention, and keeping our house clean and plants watered. They took adorable pictures of the cats and sent them to us several times a day, played with them and gave them so much love and affection, and when we got home the house was even cleaner than when we left. We even asked them for some tips on how they were caring for the cats because our cats seemed happier and more relaxed than ever when we returned home to them! This was by far our best cat/house sitter experience to date. We hope Susan and Miranda are available again in the future to sit for us and would invite them back without hesitation.

Someone was smiling down on us when Kevin and Mary clicked on our very first House Sitter advert. They are straightforward, pleasant, reliable and fun. They kept in touch about their own plans when their flights were delayed. They tactfully left the house when our own cancelled flights meant we were staying a few hours longer than first planned. They sent just the right amount of photos, videos and texts of our cat while we were away! We all loved that. And on our return, oh my word, the house fairies had been to visit! They somehow managed to walk the perfect line between improving everything, without interfering at all. Clean, tidy, replenished. They asked what food we’d like on our return and boy did they deliver! Home made bean stew :-) and different things for the children. Really kind and generous. Communication was clear and also witty..! They dealt with the churn of small mammals our “somewhat independent” cat brought through the flap without complaint. They are a really nice couple, exuding a lovely American warmth and charm. It was a real pleasure, Kevin and Mary, thank you.

Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Karen was an extraordinary house and pet sitter who I hope to invite back again soon. You would be extremely fortunate to have her take care of your pets and home. From the very beginning she radiated calmness, knowledge, caring and curiosity. We had a great initial conversation where Karen answered questions I didn't even know I should be asking, and asked excellent questions so she could be prepared and understand the special needs for both my cat and home. She flew into my city the day before I was leaving and stayed at a nearby hostel so that we could meet in person and do a walk through of my home. They say pets have an intuitive nature about people, and I knew Karen would be a winner when my normally very shy/nervous cat came right up and let her pet him. Karen sent wonderful pictures and updates while I was gone and asked questions when she wasn't sure about something. When I returned home everything was spotless and my cat was content. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better house sitter experience. Thank you Karen!

Absolutely wonderful! If you love your dog as much as I love mine they will be in excellent hands at beyond The basics dog care! You can tell the difference when someone sincerely does it for the love of animals and this place is all that and then some! I'm a guy that's very attached to his dog as though he's my little boy and I felt hesitant to leave him overnight anywhere and because of unfortunate circumstances I had to have a place for him to stay the night and all of my worries were taken away by the genuine care he received! Only boarding we use. We drive an hour out of our way just to use Jenny. She is beyond experienced handling dogs and takes great care of each animal as it’s her own! She helped tame Wildman Tux. ❤️

As always nothing but the best treatment . We've been using them for a few years maybe once or twice a year and our great Danes seem to enjoy and have a wonderful time. Very clean , plenty of space for the doggies to play and I cant say enough great things about Jenny. Patience of a Saint, nicest personality, clearly actually does it for the love of the animals.

I will not take my dogs anywhere else for boarding. Jenny is a dog person through and through and it really shows. She's always excited to see our dogs like they are her own. She takes pictures and videos for you as well. Nothing bad to say at all. I wish every animal boarding facility was ran by her!

My Harley girl has been coming to this facility for a few months now and she is always so excited to go play with her friends. The staff there are always so happy to see her and sometimes give me a review of how she did and what friends she had made that day. The only thing I could maybe critique is the cameras to check on the pups aren't great quality but now that she's so happy to go every few days, I trust these beautiful humans to take care of my baby girl. We have been taking our border collie puppy Dexter here for a few months now for daycare. They always take great care of him! He gets so excited when we pull up, and is always tired coming home. The staff there are friendly- we especially love Izzy, they always gives us nice little updates on how his day went! It's really nice that they have cameras as well, where we can check on Dexter throughout the day. The last few months he has grown a lot, turning into a nice young adult dog and we have them to thank for helping with that!
Absolutely Love and Highly recommend The Furlough Dog Daycare. I have two large dogs a Husky and a German Shepard which are difficult to find overnight stays or grooming, not for The Furlough, they are amazing. I use them for a dog play day, to let them mingle with other dogs in an amazing and safe environment or more recently a few nights vacations for the family I was able to board my dogs. My dogs love this place. Grooming is great too!! Thank you Furlough!!!
After having a few bad experiences at another facility with Titan, a previous dog I owned, I decided to groom him myself. I currently have 2 Keeshond dogs, Maive and Maverick. There is NO way I could groom them! I have only ever gotten them groomed here, and don’t plan on going anywhere else! Why would I? They ask me what I want for them. They follow through with the directions I give. They do it with a smile on their face. The best part is they do a beautiful job!
I have gotten my dogs groomed there and I have bored them there. I love this place they live on my dogs and take great care of them. I won't go anywhere else!!

I read all the reviews and a family friend recommended this place to me. I needed a place for my dog to be boarded for Thanksgiving week. This place is so nice and friendly. The staff members really care for your fur baby while you are away. There are nice dogs everywhere. My little husky-mix, Plum made lots of friends both human and canine while she stayed there. Miss Plum was so happy so she and I will definitely return to the Furlough for sure.

I recently sent my dog to stay for a holiday weekend and was so impressed with this business. They made sure to answer every question/concern I had and I love that you can add extra play time and walks. I will definitely be using Cairn Dale farms again! I was looking for a new groomer for my 3 dogs. My Ruby has to get done more than the others cuz she has long hair and we couldn't see her face so I was able to call and they got me in pretty quick, most places you take 2 months to get in or they don't take new clients anymore very nice clean place friendly staff! They have a puppy(that's what I call them) that someone brought in for grooming or boarding and never picked up he's been there his whole life living there jumps in a window to come see me for treats he was one of my favorites!
If I could give this place "0" stars I would. Do NOT bring your dogs here. Our dogs were only there for three days. I was called in the afternoon of the second day to see if they could give them baths because they "rolled" in their feces (which my dogs have never done!) I said yes please do and they charged us $50. When my husband picked up the dogs about 36 hours later he asked if he could go back to get them with whoever was waiting on him and they said "no.. that they don't let customers in the back" Red Flag! Our dogs were covered in feces and dirt. Glad my husband picked them up in his old van! One of our dogs was barely walking. They both looked traumatized and when we bathed them the tub water was disgusting!!! I sure am glad they gave them a bath the day before or we may not have recognized them... DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE! You will be sorry you did.
We use Cairn-Dale for boarding and for trimming my very anxious dog's nails. Even the vet won't trim his nails because he is so jumpy. Kristen and the other groomers do such a good job taking care of my dogs. We only trust her to do his nails! Their boarding services are affordable and definitely worth it!

Easy to use booking website, great care and close to my house. Definitely will use them again. Rocky seemed well taken care of and happy when I picked him up which is nice since he is a bit anxious and needy.
We paid for the training services just about introducing our dog to other dogs. This was just before 4th of July. They had more dogs come in that weekend and said due to more dogs coming in, they were unable to work with our dog. Our dog came home from there and began chewing the doorframe (he had never done this before) and showing severe signs of separation anxiety. This was our first experience with a boarding service, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This past weekend (end of July) we took him to a different place and had absolutely no issues with him and the new place would even let him go into a fenced yard with other dogs and things went fine. So I'm not sure why this place couldn't work with him on it even though I paid for their "training" program. We will continue to use the new place because Bowser (my dog) did very well and I feel like they actually care at the new place.
We board our dog and cat here every vacation and couldn't be happier. They are well cared for during their visit and always come back home clean and happy. I definitely recommend them for boarding.

I brought in my 2 poodles to be groomed. They butchered the job. the manager admitted to not knowing what a poodle cut was. The girl who brought the poodles to my husband said the would look better in 2 weeks. The nails were hardly touched and the hair cut uneven over their bodies. They charged us $130.00 for the both of them. Because they had in fact performed some service, I asked for $65.00 back which I received. This was a definite lesson learned. It cost me $65.00 and a bad groom job. You are welcome to make up your own minds, but i will not be back!

We took our house cat, Benson to get his nails trimmed and were nervous as he has never had them trimmed before. Upon arrival you could tell everyone was animal lovers and cared deeply about each animal. Janessa was absolutely amazing with Benson. She got him out of the carrier, held him, made sure he felt comfortable and trimmed his nails with no problems. Larry and his wife were so kind and told us about there monthly events. We will be bringing Benson back for sure. Thank you Big Blue Barn.
We have been going here for a while now, and I’ve always been pleased with the way our little man looks. However, this last groom was the best groom he has ever received period! I couldn’t have been more impressed by the way he looked! Elisha, the newest groomer did an absolutely fantastic job making our little man look so dapper❤️ it was also such a nice change walking in to see two new smiling faces ready to do their job. Both ladies came and loved on our little man when we first got there to help ease some anxiety. When I got there to pick him up a couple hours later he had a treat and was nice and secure in the back with Elisha which I love seeing. Thanks guys for taking such great care of our little man and making him look so handsome❤️

I boarded my 3 year old lab with them for a week. I opted for a go home groom as well. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The staff was super accommodating and truly cared about the pets. The booking process was smooth and super simple. I got lots of photos and updates on my dog while we were away to help appease my missing him. He came home clean, happy and so tried. He clearly had a great time. We will definitely be going back. I love all the extra options they offer to make your pet more comfortable during their stay. Edit to add: one year later of grooms and nail trims and stays and my review stands. Excellent care and service and am so pleased with Big Blue Barn!
Larry and Jordyan are so professional and wonderful to work with - we have giant breed dogs which makes it hard to find a groomer in our area. Big Blue Barn is definitely our go-to groomer from now on! Their prices are great, and they made our dogs look and smell amazing. Highly recommend!!!

My 17 week old goldendoodle was professionally groomed for the first time today (7/26/2023). I love him fluffy, so he was washed, dried, and trimmed on his face, feet, and butt. He's such a handsome boy. Laura did an awesome job with him. We will definitely return. Pictures - right is before and left is after.
I want to recommend and thank Larry and Laura. I have an 85 lbs. Strong Bernedoodle that does not want to cooperate with the grooming process. My former groomer said she would no longer take him. I contacted Big Blue Barn. The owner and groomer took time to discuss my issues and did a meet and greet groom. They gave me some advise and are going to work with me. He even looked good with the 1 st visit and I feel completely comfortable with them. You know how we are with our fur babies.
Larry and his gang took great care of my Sadie. She's scared of almost everything and most men, but she warmed right up to him. He took the time to ask about her habits and things to watch for. We will be back!
