I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.
Sharon and Milton were outstanding sitters and if I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. Reliable, communicative, helpful, self sufficient and tidy, they took great care of my home. More importantly my cats were lovingly cared for and extremely content when we returned. I highly recommend Sharon and Milton without reservation and hope to have them return in the future.
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
Kristi was an absolutely incredible sitter -- I think our favorite one ever! She was easy to communicate with, kind and personable, and took great care of our pets and our house. It was the first time we had left both our dog and our cat with a TH sitter and Kristi went above and beyond. She was very self-sufficient but provided fun updates and pictures and our pets loved her. Highly recommend!
Great pet sitter - took perfect care of our cat and our home. They were super communicate leading up to and during the sit and left our apartment in great shape. I'd absolutely recommend them to any future sitters!
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Marianna was an incredible house sitter and cat sitter. She gave our property and sweet kitty top notch care. She is kind, easy to communicate with, thorough, etc. Would highly recommend her, you will not be disappointed.
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Amazing sitters - I feel so fortunate to have had them stay. Chapeau was treated to daily walks and belly rubs, and my cat Tica was overflowing with contentment from having been taken care of so well. The house was cleaner than I left it and I was treated to a nice note and a lovely candle upon my return. Also, they left a checklist of item that they had done while here. Truly above and beyond!

Amazing service and love for my pets. I look forward to the daily updates when out of town. And as an added bonus, they check in with my MIL who stays the night with the dogs.
So happy with this service! Easy to schedule and team is very responsive! Able to get the times that work best with my work schedule is so nice and appreciated! Love getting the updates and pictures from the visit - Ace (my dog) always looks so happy!! It’s clear the walkers care a lot and spend a lot of time with him! Nice that there are multiple dog walkers available so I know someone will always be there! Ace looks forward to future visits!
The staff at "aMANda's Best Friend" (ABF) are wonderful and care deeply for pets and their customers. I had the pleasure of meeting the Director of Operations at ABF, Katie, during the Raleigh pet expo this past July and she explained all of ABF's services that they provide. Bravo ABF!
We love love LOVE aMANda’s Best Friend! Although I’m sure our pups love them even more. We are busy owners of a small business and it feels so good to know our best friends are in such great hands. Not only do they give our dogs the very best care and love, they’re also great at communication and are very professional. Love the app! Super easy to use. Thank you, pals! You’re the best!
Can’t recommend Amandas Best Friend enough. They truly care about your animals with care, time and love. You can enjoy your vacation and not have to worry.
Amanda's Best Friend took care of my cat in June for a week, and they were fantastic! They took such good care of my kitty Mickey, and it was such a joy to get a write-up of his status, what she did, and several cute pictures of him every day. Taylor was awesome. Prices are great, scheduling is easy (they were able to add another day for me at the last minute!). Really can't say enough good things about this company and will hire them any time I need a pet sitter in the triangle :) they really love animals and the service feels above and beyond.
Amanda's best friend take amazingly great care of my fur child! They love him almost as much as I do! My dog is a little high maintenance and they help provide the extra care he needs. They are always supportive and there when we need them. Reach out to them if you are looking for reliable, friendly and lovable dog walkers in the Triangle area!
Amanda’s services are above and beyond! Our dog loves her and her staff so much and gets so excited every time he sees them. We never have to worry about him if we’re leaving town. One of the best parts is the visit updates they send, we love receiving them when we’re away! (They send detailed emails of activity, feeding, etc with pictures when you’re away!) Overall, Amanda’s services can’t be beat!
Amanda's Best Friend has been a life saver! My work schedule has been very sporadic and Amanda and her team have been very accommodating. The communication is great. My favorite part (other than knowing my dog is getting taken care of) is getting the email updates from Katie with how the appointment went with pictures of my dog!
You know what’s wonderful? Being able to go out of town and completely trust that your furbaby will be perfectly taken care of. This company does such a great job of keeping pets safe and happy, while also providing thorough communication that you can access as you’d like to be assured your little loved one is doing well. I’m so impressed with the owner, Amanda, as well as one of her employees, Jessica (these are the two that have taken care of our pet. I’m sure all the employees are awesome!). They are simply the best!
Recently moving from Holly Springs to Raleigh, Raleigh pet sitters has been a Godsend! They’ve helped with my boys, even with last minute notice! They’ve always found a walker… and the pictures and texts immediately following a visit always make me smile!!! Thanks for making us feel so welcomed…. And loved! Cori, Bing and Mavey
We were thrilled to find Raleigh Pet Sitters. Knowing they are always there to take care of our cats when we are traveling is such comfort. The updates (always with pictures of the cats) are the best! We would highly recommend you use these folks on your next trip.
Raleigh Pet Sitters is my go to team to take care of my adored and ridiculously spoiled cats when I can't be there for them. Scheduling, communication and payment is super easy through the site. Our sitter is the best, she is dependable, knowledgeable and sends us excellent photos of the cats while we are gone. I would not hesitate to recommend Raleigh Pet Sitters to anyone.
This was my first time hiring a pet sitter that wasn’t just a friend doing us a favor. I was anxious leaving my cats with a stranger, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I made for my trip. They scheduled a meet and greet consultation before I left and that’s how I met Savannah. She was absolutely incredible with my kitties. She sent daily updates via email with a detailed report that included tons of pictures and videos, managed to tackle the unique and challenging feeding needs for each of the cats, give my asthmatic kitty his inhaler, play with the cats, clean the litter, water my plants, and she even checked my mailbox and brought my packages upstairs. I have cameras in my home to keep an eye on the cats when I’m away, so I was able to see how great she was with the kitties and how much the cats enjoyed seeing her when she was around. Savannah brought me so much comfort knowing my cats had a friend to care for them while I was on vacation. I will be using this service for all of my future pet-sitting needs!!
Corinne took great care of my cats! I've used Raleigh Pet Sitters several times and trust them with the care of my pets and my home.
I've used this service three times. Every time has been an excellent experience, and my kitties tell me nothing but wonderful stories when I get home. ;) It's reassuring receiving updates letting me know they truly understand their distinct personalities, and knowing they're safe in their own home is the best part. We appreciate you!
Being a new dog owner, myself, I was nervous about leaving him at home while I was at work all day. I've had Raleigh pet sitters come into my home 2-3 times a week for several months now. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them. Corinne takes very good care of my puppy, Brody!
First time using a pet sitter but I didn't want to board. I have a senior cat that needs meds and a skittish cat that has a new friend! Kelly was great and I appreciated the daily updates and pics. It was a relief to know I didn't have to worry while on a much needed vacation.
Raleigh Pet Sitters is very organized and do a good job. They have been in business a long time which is why I don't worry about them entering my home when I'm away. I use them for vacation pet sitting, and they will do house-sitting tasks as well like watering plants, bringing in mail, and rotating lights. They are good with my cat and leave very thorough daily updates about how the visit went including cute photos that show her getting All the Petz!
I have had an awesome experience with Raleigh Pet Sitters. I have been using them for almost a year now. I was needing help walking my dog and I am very grateful that their amazing team has been able to help with this. I have always had approvals to the visits I've needed. Scheduling is easy and I've had no issues with it. They've always been accommodating when it comes to the time frame I'm looking for. My dog definitely enjoys the walks and attention. I really enjoy the summaries and pictures from each visit.
Kato and her team did a very thorough job learning about our cat's needs and preferences before our trip. This attention to detail paid off, as our pet sitters Ginny and Becca both went above and beyond in taking care of our little Hazel. They sent us a detailed summary of their visits twice daily, including several photos and amusing anecdotes. In addition, they took care of our home while we were away, took out trash, collected mail, etc. We would not hesitate in recommending Bone-A-Fide to any pet owner!
If I could give them ten stars, I would! Kato and the team helped take care of my cat during many trips over a span of three years, and I can say with confidence they are the best of the best! From the start, the team has always had excellent communication, and really helped ease my mind. I had never used pet sitting services, so their thorough interview and information gathering process was eye opening as to the level of detail and care they put into each pet sitting job. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable, and clearly pet lovers! Each visit was always accompanied by a detailed explanation of the visit - the good, the bad, and everything in between! I was never left wondering how my cat was doing or if she was okay, I knew the Bone-A-Fide Team would take care of her. Each visit also featured plenty of photos, I could make a whole album! I've always told anyone who would listen to try out their services. I moved out of their current service range, which was a tough choice to make. Staying close by so I could continue to enjoy their services was part of my moving considerations, and I'm sad to say goodbye to the wonderful Bone-A-Fide Team! If you're looking for a pet sitter, definitely give them a call!
We have been using Bone-A-Fide Pet Care for overnight pet sitting and daily care for over a year now. Our fur baby, Lucy, is 14 years old and the care given to her has far exceeded our expectations. Kato, Laura, Marisa and Hillary are professional, quick to respond and caring. Communication is top notch and Hillary, who has been providing sleep over care for Lucy is beyond awesome. She always leaves our house neat and tidy, is kind and caring to our old girl’s special needs, and Lucy loves her. We are so grateful we found Bone-A-Fide Pet Care!
We have used Bone-A-Fide for bi-weekly dog walks for 7+ years. First for one dog, then with several fosters, and finally with the addition of our 2nd dog. They have always been very responsive and attentive to our dogs’ needs. They have worked with us through training challenges, occasional illness, extreme weather and even the pandemic! After each walk, we always get a full report – with photos, and it’s obvious that the dog walkers really care. Our dogs LOVE their dog walker – and we trust her implicitly. Highly recommend!
I am new to BoneAFide and a new cat person. They took wonderful care of Taco Cat while we were away! The daily update with pictures was perfect and Taco was happy as can be when we returned. BoneAFide pet care is perfect for the week long pet care with easy scheduling online. Hillary easily won over Taco’s heart and they were playing together in no time. She took great care of the plants and house, too, above and beyond what we expected! Professional and personal all at the same time. We have already booked future services for Taco!
We love bone-a-fide! I'm so grateful we found them. Kato, Marisa and Laura are very professional and extremely easy work with. They definitely care about your pets. I never have to worry when I leave my cats in their hands! They always send a daily update with pictures and let us know that everything is going well. I recommend them to anyone looking for pet care!
Kato, Keya and Becca did a fabulous job taking care of my Ruark !!! Their attention to detail was amazing. Ruark loves his new heating pad Kato had suggested . My boy needed some medicine and the team handled that well. Their care and attention to the specific needs of my sweet fellow helped me enjoy my vacation and not worry he would feel lonely without his “mommy”. Suzi B.
Bone-a-Fide Pet Care has taken care of our 2 cats multiple times and I cannot say enough about how amazing they are! Hillary and Kato go above and beyond basic care; they play with our cats, give them attention and affection, and cater to each one’s personality and needs. The updates and pictures they share after each visit are so helpful and reassuring, and truly give my husband and I peace of mind while away from home.
I have used Bone A Fide Pet Care services several times and was blown away by the care and professionalism. I will definitely use them again and I trust them completely in their care for my pets. The website is clear and the app they use is fairly intuitive. I found them really flexible and easy to work with and all of the staff I have met in person have been pleasant and capable. They always sent pictures of my dogs during walks, which was a comfort to see when I was out of town. I highly recommend them.
Bone A Fide was amazing. They did a great job of giving us daily updates as well as pics. The portal and app they use are fairly easy to use as well. Each of our pets (4 bunnies) was just as healthy and happy as we had left the. I really appreciate the care that was taken of our pets, our property, and the pet's areas. Will definitely be using them next time we travel.
I wish my dog was as happy to see me when I get home from work as he is to walk in the door here for daycare! His his excitement when he arrives says it all; this place is great! They know my dog by name, and he always leave a happy, tired boy at the end of the day. Highly recommend! My only wish is that they opened a little earlier, like 7:30a, and had weekend hours, because sometimes my husband and I both work on the weekends. But hey, as long as this place keeps my dog happy, we will keep bringing him!
I have been taking my 8-year-old greyhound mix Harry to PDO for almost his entire life. We had a few breaks because I moved but then moved back to Raleigh. This place is amazing. He gets excited every time we arrive at the location and cannot wait to go in and hang out with the staff. Some of the staff has watched my dog, Harry grow up. They treat my dog like their own. I am so grateful to have a safe place to take my best friend when I need help. PDO has helped me so much in caring for my dog, Harry over the years. highly recommend!
We put our puppy in Pup's Day Out for daycare when she was six months old because we wanted her to be properly socialized. She loves going so much that we've kept taking her to daycare for the past 3 years! Our dog loves the staff, and the owner and manager are always super helpful and friendly. They go to great lengths to make sure all the dogs are up to date on shots and and it's a safe, clean environment. Our dog is totally exhausted when we pick her up. It's the best doggie daycare in the triangle and we 100% recommend!!!
Absolutely awesome doggy day care! They best part of Pup's Day Out is they DO NOT have a crate policy. It is very hard to find a day care in this area that does not crate/kennel your dog for 2 hours a day. If I wanted my dogs crated I would have left them home! The staff are always very pleasant and my girls are good and tired when I pick them up. This is the only doggy day care I trust to take care of my girls while I am away. Keep up the good work!
I've been taking my older bully breed to this location for grooming the last 3 years. I've never had a bad experience and I've always been impressed with the staff's sincerity and kindness. My dog didn't pass the temper test for doggy day care (aggressive play), but the manner in which they informed me was very professional. I wasn't 'put off' and inquired on other services. I didn't know they had grooming. After his first visit I realized his previous groomer was not as good as I thought. I do see very happy dog owners picking up their dogs every time I visit.
We love Pup's Day Out. My Shar Pei has been going there on a daily basis (mid week) for 3 years and we've used their boarding services and grooming services on and off during that time too. So in the 1,000+ days she's been there, we've never had any issues or incidents. I have a few friends that also use the facility with no issues whatsoever. I like that the dogs have their own stalls and are not crated for boarding. I really love the staff there and they treat my dog as their own. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for dog care or boarding. I'm very surprised to see any negative reviews here, they seem to stem predominately from users who have dogs with behavioral issues.
the first time that I went to this place, the services were good. I had my dogs groomed and they did a good job. The last time I brought my dogs in to be groomed I got them back and noticed that the next day there was blood all over the floor that looked like my dog paw prints. I discovered that both dogs had raw and bloody skin in between their pads and all over both feet. It is now a week later and one of my dogs still has this issue. The other issue I have is that one of the dogs also broke out with a huge, pusy sore on the side of her neck, face and ear. She is at the vet today; I tried over the counter medications and apparently it will need antibiotics and needs medication that is stronger than I can purchase. These issues didn't happen until I brought my dogs to this facility this time and I have had luck in the past. Maybe I got a bad person? Not sure, I just wanted to put my bad experience out there as far as grooming goes. They could be great when it comes to the daycare option. I have emailed the company to let them know in hopes that they will take care of these issues for their other clients. As a side note, I emailed Pup's Day Out personally before posting this review to let them know about the services received and I guess hoped they would make it right however they didn't bother to respond.
The crew at Pup's Day Out always do such a nice job with grooming and my pup comes out so happy and looking great! By far the best value and quality services when it comes to bathing and nail clipping. The staff is also so friendly and I know my dog is well taken care of while he's there. Thank you!
I knew this was a good place as soon as I saw my dog's reaction the second time I left him for boarding. My dog has never liked staying at boarding places. He would always try to follow me out the door when I left and would never want to go with staff. The first time I left him at pups day out he acted the same way. Which I figured he would since he had never been there. However, the second time I left him there he immediately went to the staff, tail wagging, and didn't even look back at me! I knew then I found a great place. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can tell that they care for the dogs as if they were family. I would definitely recommend this place.
The groomer here is amazing! She really makes the best out of any condition you bring your pet in or request for style. When I pick my pups up, they’re excited but not anxious, and that gives us a huge piece of mind. Highly recommend.
We used Peak City Puppy during a recent family trip to the beach. Heather took wonderful care of our dogs and cat and provided photos and recaps after each visit. One of our dogs is very nervous when meeting new people but Heather gave her time and space to feel comfortable and gained her trust. Knowing that our fur babies were happy and in great care allowed to have a wonderful and stress-free vacation. We will definitely use Peak City again!
We just used Peak City Puppy for the second time and had another amazing experience. Lauren took care of our 4 year old Golden Retriever and 2 cats… one being an energetic and mischievous kitten. We were gone for 8 days and didn’t have service some of the time, so when we were able we had lovely updates and pics of our pets to catch up on. Lauren not only took care of our pets, but took out the trash and recycling! While we were gone Hurricane Debby came through and Lauren didn’t skip a beat. She had Willow out on her walks and also dried her off (and wasn’t annoyed when she got all goofy during this process lol) It has been so wonderful to have a great person watching our pets while we are gone. Lauren goes above and beyond and makes leaving town much less stressful. I’m also pretty sure Willow was a little depressed when we returned and Lauren wouldn’t be back!
We've been using dog walking services with Peak City Puppy for about a month now 3 days per week and are SO impressed and highly recommend them. We have have two young, large puppies and they love our dog walker, Courtney! One of our dogs is really shy and she's been so wonderful and patient with him and they are now besties :) The whole team is professional, their online portal for scheduling and payment and communication is so easy to use! We couldn't recommend them enough!
I used Peak City Puppy for the first time 2 weeks ago. They were phenomenal! Jenna and Jess were the ladies that took care of my 4 fur babies. From the "meet and greet" to each visit, they were very caring and professional. They let me know when they arrived, when they left, and sent me pictures with updates during each visit. I used the 30 minute visit and the 12 hour overnight since I have a senior dog who needs more care. Jess and Jenna provided the type of excellent care that gave me piece of mind on my trip. I would definitely use them again!
Peak City Puppy did an amazing job caring for our Boston Terrier and 2 cats for 5 days while we were out of town recently. Dwayne, Kristin and Erin treated our fur babies like they were their own. I was so impressed by the detailed updates, messages and pictures that I received after every visit. I love that PCP allows you to customize the timing and duration of visits. It helped our dog tremendously to have Kristin here for a full 2 hours each evening. I will definitely be using PCP for our future animals care needs, I recommend them wholeheartedly!!
We had such a great experience with Peak City Puppy! We were out of town for 2 weeks and needed care for our 2 labs. Angela immediately made us feel comfortable! Our older lab has anxiety issues and had to have unplanned abdominal surgery 2 weeks prior to our trip. Angela was very accommodating and made us feel at ease about leaving her. She sent pictures and videos everyday and it was obvious our puppies were very happy and very well taken care of. We were able to enjoy our trip without one bit of worry! We will definitely use Peak City and Angela again. I would highly recommend for any pet owner!
My first experience with Peak City puppy could not have been any better! I had just rescued a 6 year old American Bulldog when I was called into in-person work for several days. On very short notice, Peak City Puppy was able to match me with an in-their-home pet sitter for those days with morning drop-off and evening pick-up. I offered to pay the overnight rate since this was a custom request. My new pup got along great with the sitter’s other two dogs and didn’t want to leave each evening. They took such good care of him and provided updated with pictures throughout each day. It was just a wonderful experience and they alleviated any anxiety I had about leaving a dog who was just beginning to adjust to a new life outside of the rescue environment. They will be my choice next time, no question. I highly recommend Peak City Puppy and their pet sitting services!
We have been thrilled with the excellent care that Peak City Puppy has provided for our sweet dog. Our walker Cris has already formed a bond with her and I love getting updates and pictures after their walks. The on-line platform for requesting dates and services is very easy to use. We are looking forward to using Peak City Puppy for dog-sitting when we are out of town as well. A great locally owned service with very responsive, caring, reliable staff. I would highly recommend!
We use Peak City Puppy whenever we're out of town for a few days. Debbie and Erin have done such a great job taking care of our cats - Tofu and Miso! They send us updates every visit which reduces my anxiety of being away from my kitties haha. Peak City Puppy is very reliable and I would very much recommend them for any cat sitting needs!
I could not give Peak City Puppy higher praise! My pet sitter of many years canceled on me, last minute, before a planned trip - flights booked, car rental, parking - you name it. So I was left scrambling to find someone to care for my senior puppy while I was away. Jordan hustled to secure care in just a few days and Brandy & Ellen treated my girl as if she were their own. I am so grateful to the team and will book PCP for all my pet care in the future. Thank you!
I took my small dog to the dog park on a Monday and there were more medium/large dogs than small dogs. However, all of the dogs are gentle and I did not see any aggression at all. Although my dog didn’t play much but it was still nice to expose him to all this environment. They have WiFi and I worked a bit while my pup being distracted, it was a win/win situation. Love the bartender there! I will definitely come again.
The experience provided by West Street is unmatched by any other doggie spot. I absolutely love taking my yellow lab to West Street. The staff are all extremely kind and polite. They treat your animal like its their own. They go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet are happy with their services. I love the bar on the dog park side, the drinks are excellent and it's a really friendly environment where everyone knows everyones name. I even brought my mom, and we sat and had coffee on our once a week coffee meet-up. It's a great place , and even though I moved out of he neighborhood , I still travel to West Park. My Bennett absolutely loves the friends he's made.
I loved this place more than my dog— he was a little shy and the space to run around is a little on the small side, so he Mostly hung around the tables and chairs with me, while I enjoyed whatever drinks were on special that night and watched dogs frolic and play. If we had one of these in my town I’d be there every day. Very clean, well run, and great vaccine/safety policies. I loved our visits!
This place is excellent, staff is so friendly, helpful and really helps the dogs and owners while at the park. Would highly recommend.
Have been here for non-private events and a bunch of private events. Great time, always. Fantastic place to let your dogs have a good time around other well-behaved and vaccinated dogs. Drinks are priced well for downtown Raleigh. Can't go wrong with the daily specials.
This is a great concept! They had some good craft cocktail options and the staff was really friendly. We brought our dog with us but stayed in the front bar with her. We were informed that she would hand to become a West Street Dog member in order to play in the back. To be honest, we really didn't like that she couldn't go back and play in the open area because we didn't have a ton of paperwork for her. Probably great for people who live downtown and don't have access to the many open dog parks that we do without all the required paperwork.
Update Always had a good time while visiting the dog park but recently tried boarding my pup for the first time. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and due to (admitted) negligence my pup didn't use the bathroom for 24 hours and ended up with a UTI and a vet bill. Original Review Great place for pups and humans alike! Great staff, reasonably priced drinks (full bar), and the pup has a blast. Especially great on cold or rainy days as it's fully inside and climate controlled. They always have attendants on duty helping owners keep an eye on the pups. We've been coming here regularly since it opened and have never seen or had any issues.
This place is amazing and so needed in Raleigh! The place space is relatively small, but for being an indoor space that is very air conditioned, it's everything even my large 90 pound dog needs! It's worth reading through the website to be clear on everything you need to start, like uploading immunization records, general agreements, and rules. Everything including payment can be done through the app. I expected it to smell, but I was surprised that it was just a mild 'dogs are playing in here' smell, and I still happily sipped my cider while watching my dog play. They have a staff member watching at all times, immediately hosing down any spot that was soiled, and that helps a ton. They have games at the bar, cocktails, beer, soda, and non alcoholic mocktails. There are tables and chairs surrounding the green play area that are actually comfortable, and high bar tables where some people were on their laptops. This place is great for socializing or even getting work done while your dog plays and gets tired out. I'm so excited it's here and I'll be back a ton, especially during summer!!
West Street is absolutely AMAZING. My dog was so nervous when we first started going but the staff has been wonderful and loving. They helped her come out of her shell and now she has so much fun during park hours and at daycare. The staff knows and loves every dog that walks through the doors. When I go out of town, I will board her with no hesitation. We both love it here.
We’ve been coming here since it opened and we LOVE IT! The whole concept of an indoor dog park/bar is amazing! The “bouncers” (that’s what we call the staff who make sure the pups are playing nicely) do an awesome job! You can tell they really love dogs. We hope West Street Dog stays open furever (you see what I did there? ;)
Crystal and her team at Wag the Dog Pet Care have been taking care of me and my cat for about a year now. I'm really happy with the service I'm getting from Kevin. Aroo takes a while to warm up to folks but he's gotten is really comfortable with Kevin, and Kevin respects his boundaries. Kevin gets all the little details right and he's great about giving me timely updates and photos after each visit. They're really super to work with, thanks Kevin & Crystal!
I have been using Wag the Dog Pet Care for 9 plus years now. Crystal and staff are always polite, responsive and dependable. I have been lucky to have the same individual care for my dog for these 9 plus years which makes both myself and my dog comfortable when I need to be away.
I've used Wag The Dog Pet Care, LLC for 3 years and they've been amazing! I fully trust them to look after my 2 cats and get the peace of mind with photos and descriptions of their visits. I highly recommend this service for your pets.
I have been with Wags for 8 year and 3 dogs. It's worth every penny knowing that my pets are happy at home and being well taken care of. The communication is above and beyond. They have been able to work with me for last min travel and scheduling changes. I would recommend Crystal and her team to anyone in the area who's dog doesn't do well at kennels. Thanks to all the trainers Keli and Cameron especially.
What a great service! We have used Wag the Dog for over 9 years and couldn't be happier working with them. It's easy to schedule online and communicate with the walkers and owner. The walkers are SO kind and take their jobs seriously. They send photos during the visits. I always recommend them!
We've been using Wag the Dog for over two years and they've been amazing! We never worry about our pups when we're out of town traveling. Crystal and her team (Kim has been our primary sitter for over a year now, and WE LOVE HER!) are flexible and kind, just the right people you want to trust with your fur babies! Kim always sends us picture updates of the puppies while we're out of town, and we could not be more thankful for her help! Thank y'all for all you do!!
Barbara and her husband are the MOST AMAZING people at Wag the Dog! They're the only people we honestly trust our 10 year old corgi and 3 year old Schnauzer with. Having them take care of our babies makes our vacations so much better! They send us photos and updates everyday to let us know how our dogs are doing which is so comforting. I can't recommend Wag the Dog enough for giving us someone we completely trust and rely on. 😀
Absolutely love Wag the Dog. Crystal and her team are professional and thoughtful when helping you arrange care for your pet. My very anxious, high maintenance cat LOVES his caretaker and she always provides pictures and updates while I am away. I feel very comfortable leaving my pet and knowing he is well cared for. Highly recommend!
I would highly recommend Wag the Dog Pet Care to any pet parent looking for a reliable and trustworthy service. Crystal and her team go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of your furry friend.
We used Wag the Dog Pet Care over Christmas. They were wonderful! We had some unfortunate circumstances over the trip that delayed us from getting home when we expected. Ms. Lynch was very understanding and helpful. They sent us updates of our pets and I am booking a new appointment right now. I meant to give them good reviews as soon as I got home... Better late than never! Highly recommended. :)
*Updated* After posting my review, Alex, the owner, responded promptly and professionally. He apologized, issued a refund, and assured me that a meeting is scheduled with his employee, Jason. I understand that mistakes can happen in business, and I greatly respect an owner who takes accountability and works to make things right—that’s excellent customer service. While I would not allow Jason to groom my dog again, I would consider booking with another groomer from this company, as the owner clearly values his clients and his business. ***Original review I recently hired Pack & Pride for their mobile grooming service, and unfortunately, my experience with Jason was very uncomfortable and disappointing. The groomer arrived frustrated and aggressive, repeatedly shouted over me while I was trying to provide directions, and insisted the addresses weren’t marked—even though they are clearly visible. He insisted he couldn’t find my house, despite me standing out in the driveway with my dog, directly in front of him. This made for a stressful start to the appointment. While the groomer was friendly to my dog, his attitude toward me remained condescending throughout. I asked for a light trim to tidy up my dog’s coat, but he cut it down drastically, leaving a choppy, uneven result with visible missed patches. The haircut looked rushed and unprofessional, his coat was butchered, and completely inappropriate for winter. I will acknowledge that he did an excellent job trimming my dog’s nails. I wish I had seen the review before about Pomeranians because it is completely accurate - the cut is terrible. Unfortunately, due to Jason’s aggressive nature, I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up, and truthfully, I was in shock at how bad my dog looked. (Before and after photos attached) Between the unprofessional behavior and poor grooming quality, I cannot recommend this service. Lesson learned. Guess I’ll buy my dog a coat.
First time having my dog groomed by Pack and Pride and it was amazing! Jason did a great job and was so fast. Absolutely loved how convenient it was for them to come to my home. Definitely recommend and will be booking with Jason again. Thank you!
Loved our grooming experience!! My dogs are seniors, and such good care was taken of my old girls. Easy to make an appointment and loved that they come to my house. My poodles look so lovely
Great communication from the owner Alex. Also, Melissa took great care of our two cats and gave us details and photos from each visit. Their rates are great too.
We have 3 Aussies that needed grooming desperately. They are not qwll adjusted enough to take them to a shop, so we were looking for mobile grooming. Not disappointed in choosing Pack and Pride. Scheduling was easy and our groomer Jason showed up on time. He spent an hour with each dog and they came back looking great. Huge difference with nails cut, hair trimmed, and bathed. Prices are reasonable for being mobile, time spent with each dog, and results.
Charlotte, our golden retriever, has had 3 baths from P&P over the past several months and they have all been great experiences! We trust the team and are so happy they can come to us instead of dropping her somewhere and hoping she’s not too scared. We’d highly recommend this team for any dog grooming needs!
Great service!!! I have two over 50 pound dogs who have never done mobile grooming. Jason came on time, talked about what I wanted and then went to work. Both dogs were clean, trimmed nails and were done on time. We have a new bestie!! Thanks Jason!!
Absolutely love this company and their services. Great communication. Great staff. This is the very 1st pet sitting service that I’ve used and my nerves are always at ease. After each walk, client portal is updated with pictures and a blurb of how your pet is doing. Would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a trustable company!
They were great! I needed an emergency dog wash and they responded late a night and coordinated so quickly. And they made my boy look even more handsome. I highly recommend!
I’m very happy with the grooming of my Maltese. They were prompt getting to my house and quick but very good with the grooming. I’ll definitely use them again!
Priceless, absolutely priceless!!! Our baby girl, Butterfly loved going there when we lived in the Raleigh area. We moved away little over three years ago. At the beginning of August, we had to send her over the rainbow. Today I emailed them to get some of the pictures they took of her while she was in their care. They still had them!!!!! Thank you for helping us with her memories. It was worth all money and more.
We took our dog Lucy here for the first time a few weeks ago and she was treated so well. It’s hard to find help for an older and/or injured pet so I was happy that we found this place. The staff were caring and friendly. There was also ample communication about Lucy during her stay.
My pup enjoyed his first away stay as I traveled. Was an adjustment for both of us but the staff here was professional, knowledgeable & caring. I do plan to keep them as my pups boarding option. The different level of rooms some with camera & tv were great the have. Will be trying out doggy daycare as my guy enjoyed play groups during his stay. Would definitely recommend to other pet parents for a worry free boarding option!
I’m a “crazy dog mom,” and I can’t say enough good things about Suite Paws! Our dog has been going to Suite Paws for daycare and boarding for the past several years. She is a handful (to put it lightly) and they are so patient and kind with her, and we never feel uncomfortable leaving her in their care. My husband handles drop off and pick up and he is always pleased with the communication provided. We appreciate the fact that they keep notes of her preferences/needs so that her stays there go as smooth as possible. We also love the report cards and pictures!
I just love Suite Paws! Although I moved out of Raleigh about a year ago, if I'm in the area and my pups want a slumber party, my go-to is always Suite Paws. Their facility is clean, staff is proficient, friendly, and accomodating. They've got a client for life!
The front desk receptionists are always rude and short which certainly doesn’t leave me feeling comfortable. When I dropped my dog off this morning it felt as if it was an inconvenience for them to take him when we reserved boarding prior. I don’t know what that was about but considering the defensive nature of this company’s responses, I’m sure some reasoning for this will be provided. However, since they are the closest facility and because my dog doesn’t seem to have any issues when we pick him up we will continue to use them. Front desk receptionists are in serious need customer service training though. Owners should feel welcome when dropping off their pets. The snootiness and shortness are certainly not appreciated.
This was our first time attempting to officially board our 7 month old mini schnauzer. She had only been boarded before with the breeder. I felt really comfortable and excited for the experience my puppy would have boarding here after I called to make the reservation and the person I spoke to was super nice and empathetic to my uneasiness boarding our puppy so much so my mind was at complete ease, that was until we actually went to the facility the day of check in. As Heather was checking us in I explained to her that this was our first time boarding Ellie and Heather could have cared less, the vibe she gave was as if she did not want to be there or even assisting us... I was shocked because of the reception we had received over the phone. My husband and I requested a tour which she did grant before 12pm(11:52) after she first made it VERY clear that tours are from 12pm - 1pm however Heather walked over to the young lady that was going to give the tour turned her back to us and whispered something to the tour guide....that action gave us a bad feeling. So we proceed with the tour and as soon as we went in the back we were hit with a strong urine smell. We were showed the type of villa Ellie would be in which we liked so I asked to see Ellie before we left and the tour guide said she didn't know where she was currently so I asked her what she meant since she was the one that put the name collar on her and took her to the back, her response was she didn't know where Ellie would be placed yet. Why I couldn't see my puppy I didn't understand. My husband and I go to the car to leave and my eyes are filled with tears and he says something just doesn't feel right and I was feeling the same way but thought it was just my emotions because it was our first experience leaving her with people we didnt know. We both agreed to go back and get our Ellie which we did. The young lady that greeted us when we walked back in was really nice, we told her we wanted to take Ellie even though we had just checked in the young lady said she would have to get assistance to help us so we waited for the not so pleasant Heather to get off the phone. When Heather came to assist, the young lady told her what we needed Heather looked at the computer screen and said " just check her out" and walked off, no questions were asked no thank you...nothing!! We felt really let down by this facility because of what the website portrays and the accolades it has received. This was a bad experience for newbies. I hope Heather is having a better day and can get training in customer service and being empathetic to first time fur parents. May I also suggest that if your villas with Webcams are always booked as I was told please add more villas with that amenity since it seems to be in high demand.
My dogs and I love Suite Paws! They are a critical part of what makes our lives work. That may sound like hyperbole, but I promise you it is not. I travel internationally for work. I could not be successful, and thus successfully support us, if I didn’t have safe reliable care for Atticus and Harper while I travel, with people I trust and who genuinely care about them. My furbies are always happy to see their friends at Suite Paws, and I don’t spend my time away worrying if they’re okay. I can focus on the purpose of my trip.
Please ensure that your employees are aware of the services you do and do not provide. I called yesterday to request a cat grooming appointment and was advised that they were booked several months out but could be provided after that, then was told to create an account with the online portal to request the reservation. Once this was done, I was informed over email that cat grooming is not a service ever offered by this business. I'm extremely uncomfortable with having been misled into creating an account that required my personal and credit card information before learning this.
I decided to retract my reservation for my puppy after performing a walk through of this facility...this place was severely overbooked to the point of dogs being kept in crates in the hallway. Upon entering the area where the dogs are kept, it smelt unclean. I could not and would not feel comfortable leaving my puppy there. Owners should have their emergency contacts stop by between 12-1 for a walk through unannounced..It was 😨
Keily (the owner) is fantastic with the dogs! My pup loves it here because there are no kennels and the dogs can interact with other small dogs all day! At nap time, there are lots of different choices of where the pups can sleep! I highly recommend this daycare and boarding so that your pup can have attention all day while you work, when you have an appointment, or just want your pup to have some fun!
Our mini dachshund had the best time at Little Pup Lounge. He loves the open space, play area and dog beds instead of kennels. This was our first time boarding at Little Pup Lounge and this will be our regular spot to board our pup. We were pleased with the responsiveness and customer service as well. We are so glad there is this spot downtown!
Little Pup Lounge is a great place to take your little pup!! The owner, Keily, is amazing when it comes to treating all dogs as her own!! The Lounge is set up so cute & your dog will be well taken care of!...give it a try, you' & your little pup will be HAPPY you did!!!!
Little pup lounge is amazing! Our two high strung dogs are actually comfortable there and we know they are very well taken care of when they are there. It’s the only place where we don’t feel guilty leaving them overnight! The place is clean, has tons of fun areas for the dogs (and no crates!), a fenced in yard, a great human-dog ratio (your dog is not just a number here - the owner works hard to make sure she gives them each the attention they need), very sweet gentle dog clients, a very knowledgeable staff, and treats (as long as the owner says it’s ok). Plus, the pricing is great. ***Note - they are currently accepting a small number of clients.
If you are looking for daycare/boarding for your small dog in the Raleigh area, I cannot recommend Little Pup Lounge enough. Keily provides a safe, clean, and fun environment for these dogs and my miniature dachshund absolutely loves her!
My fiance and I are so thrilled to have a place to take our pup downtown! Keily is so friendly and professional. The lounge is super cute and our dog loves going there!
I just brought my puppy their for the first time today, and I am simply amazed by the comfy home like atmosphere! My dog imimdiatly was comfortable and I felt no hesitation in walking out the door. I am so very excited to have this wonderful place to bring my pup while I am at work.
What a great idea ! A place just for little dogs! The owner , Keily , is hands on. My dog is safe and happy in this playful, happy space . Much needed and equally appreciated !
Hi Rahiem. Thank you very much for the review. We have been closed for some time now due to covid. Can you remind me of your pup? We are hoping to open again in the future and would hope for five star reviews from all of our customers. I would love to know what we can work on and would welcome the feedback. Thank you for your feedback.
