They sent me pictures of Lola and kept me updated, so that I had a very relaxed holiday. Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.

Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.

My husband and I are so grateful for Cendy staying with our ~1yr old cat for nearly a full month. We were nervous to leave her for so long but Cendy had Wilma literally eating out of the palm of his hand and snuggling with him in no time. Cendy was incredibly communicative with us and attentive to Wilma consistently for the entire duration of the sit which was such a relief and gave us the piece-of-mind needed to fully enjoy our trip. We returned back to an impeccably clean apartment and a very content kitty. For the first few days back Wilma was definitely looking around for Cendy, missing her buddy. We (and Wilma!) would welcome Cendy back any time, especially for a longer stay knowing how responsible of a sitter he was. Couldn't recommend enough!

Jenny was an absolute delight, lovely to speak to and patient with last minute changes. I have had bad experiences with trusting people with my cats before so was really anxious as Jenny is the first house sitter I have used from zeewoi. But, I felt at ease as soon as I spoke to her, she has a lovely manner and she came round the day before the sit to male sure she had every detail right. But I think the thing that helped the most was her regular updates about my cats. I could see from the videos she sent they were given lots of love and attention. My cats don't usually play with people but my little girl seemed to love her! My flat was immaculate when I got back as well, I am so grateful to Jenny for all her help and really hope to have her sit for me again!

They are among the top (if not the top) sitter I've ever had and I've been on this site for years. Primarily, they are very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Macie and Roman kept me abreast of their plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk them through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Macie and Roman really care. When they got to my apartment after a very long morning of traveling, I explained the care instructions and they were very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Macie and Roman followed those exactly. Third, Macie and Roman make you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out of hiding very quickly and was snuggling with them and letting them hold him. It was so nice to see the pictures of them all bonding! Macie and Roman have a calming energy towards animals for sure! Macie and Roman were also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 30 minutes. I really appreciated that. Fourth, Roman and Macie will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Macie and Roman also respects your property. We had a room we asked them not to enter and they respected that. In short, Macie and Roman are amazing. I would have them back in a heartbeat. Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away. We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.

I have sent my puppy Buddy (almost 10 months) to Simon & Leah twice for home boarding & am really happy with the service they provide. My dog is a lab & at times can be hard work as he is still young and in training, Simon & Leah are great with him, follow his daily schedule best they can & know exactly how to cater for his needs. Their dog Koda is great with Buddy, they go on walks by the beach & he always comes home super sleepy after having so much fun. I feel really comfortable leaving him with them & will continue to use them going forward! Thank you
From the moment we met Simon and Leah we knew we were putting our puppy in safe hands. Betsy was a 6 month old Newfoundland with an abundance of energy like all puppies do. Simon and Leah’s calming dedicated nature immediately put our minds at rest. Betsy attends daily walks and once a week day care. Because of the lock down we were unable to socialise Betsy in the normal manner so her interaction with other dogs when with Simon and Leah has become invaluable and her confidence and recall have improved immensely. Betsy now waits by the door each morning ready for them to arrive. I feel blessed to have found Simon and Leah and I can’t thank them enough for the love and care they give Betsy every day.

Simon and Leah are amazing. They came to visit us at home with our dog and took the time to get to know her needs and quirks. It was obvious they had a very calming effect on her and she took to them quickly. She has the best day when she goes to stay with them at doggy day care. So much so that I'm worried she won't want to come back one day. Highly recommend!

Simon and Leah are amazing! They are truly passionate about what they do and are so caring and so so helpful, often at short notice. They are super reliable and dependable and very professional. My Husksy absolutely loves them both and they are so kind to her.. she gets taken on some lovely walks and has been so calm and well behaved since they have been walking her. Simon, Leah and their team of fab dog walkers are simply brilliant! I can rest assured that my dog is safe and getting good exercise/socialisation. Good communication, value for money, trustworthy and reliable. I've relied on Simon and Leah for dog sitting too - a home from home for my dog. They've gone out of their way to help pick up and drop off, as a non-driver, and haven't ever charged extra for this! Lovely folks who really do love pets! :)
I didn't know Simon and Leah before they started boarding my dog for me. Simon and Leah are completely professional, before starting regular boarding for me, they met with me to discuss, what I needed when I needed it and discussed in detail about my dog and her needs. She always looks forward to seeing them! I do drive to Colchester for home boarding but I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my dog. Friendly, reliable and caring!
When I met Simon and Leah I knew they were the right people to trust with my doggo. For the last month Diego has had a 1 hour weekly morning walk with them. I pay 1 month up front and it's really reasonably priced. Diego is so excited to see Simon on a Wednesday morning and comes back a happy and well exercised boy! We have been so so impressed with the level of service we have received for our two spaniels from We Love Pets Colchester. They are so flexible and our pups absolutely love their visits from Maria! Ally is a kind and caring individual that all the dogs and their owners love and respect. Ally takes time getting to know your furry friend and takes each individuals needs into account. Ally has always worked with animals and has a lot of experience and knowledge working with dogs. Ally will look after your pet as if it were her own. My Barney has gone to Ally for a while now and is always comfortable in Allys presence and enjoys his walks with all the dogs going to various locations.
Our dog has just spent a wonderful 2 weeks with Ally. She came back happy and relaxed, looking really well. Plenty of varied walks and enrichment during her stay. Ally took time to find out all about her and her routines etc in the lead up to her stay so it really was home from home. Ally is fantastic with animals and I felt completely comfortable leaving our girl in her care. I would highly recommend Ally and won't hesitate to have our dog stay with her again.

One2one pet services offer a first class environment for your pet. Kim has had my dogs for two stays and will definitely be using her again. I’ve also called on her to look after my dogs as and when I need her. She is extremely professional and at a reasonable price. My dogs love her and Matt. It’s home from home.
Excellent care for our 3 dogs. Kim is sensitive to their needs and nothing is too much trouble for her. Even our 13 year old loves her walks and cuddles with Kim. She even lets her hop in her bed if they're staying overnight!
Kim has been an absolute godsend - we moved to Harwich in July and worried about our doggie care - we found Kim and her partner - our intro meeting went so well I was already at ease - Kim has looked after my Jack a few times and I couldn’t be happier, comfortable or at ease. Kim sends pictures of Jack having the time of his life, clearly not missing daddy - great…!!! :-) Kim, is so accommodating picking up Jack or dropping him off - I so pleased and thoroughly recommend her services - thank you for everything. Just wanted to pop on and say how happy I am with Kim's service. We have her 4 days a week and the pups love her. It's always hard finding someone you feel you can trust and that is what we have found. Kim is great with the pups she is always punctual and has been very easy going when we have had to rearrange times etc... if you are looking for a fairly priced, friendly and extremely knowledgeable animal lover then look know further, we wont use anyone else!
I knew Kim was the right person to look after my dogs when I met her. She is extremely conscientious, very friendly & it's obvious that she understands & loves animals. We left our 2 dogs with Kim for 4 days in what she described as "their holiday" They were extremely well looked after & we received regular Pupdates & photographs including one of them enjoying a sleepover at their house. ( My Son was out for the night) Both my son & neighbour commented on how lovely & calm she was around the dogs & we came home to 2 contented dogs, a well watered garden & very satisfied garden birds! I can't recommend her highly enough. 😊
Kim visits us once a week to train our dog. Really understands dogs and makes it all look so easy. Always completes a report for us to follow so that we know what we should be concentrating on. Would be very happy to recommend her services.

Both of my dogs C and B are very happy at Stow farm. B is a lively and she loves everyone so naturally got on really well. C is more nervous of people and other environments. He got on really well and after a couple of days warming up to the staff enjoyed his time there. Both dogs came home with no issues and very happy. We have been using the kennels under the the new and former owners on and off since 2004 and have seen vast improvements since the new owners have taken over. We returned to Essex last year. We even got updates whilst we were away which was great. Thank you Stow Farm for taking excellent care of our fur family.
Excellent service from making initial booking all the way through to drop off & collection. We have used these kennels twice this year & are very impressed, so much so, we have already booked again. Big thank you to Clare and Paul for all their hard work (& for the photos of our pooch thoroughly enjoying his own little holiday!). Would definitely recommend 100%.

Am yet to use the service, however communication excellent, immediate response to email, most helpful and good advice. I contacted them because of good recommendations.
Wasn't interested in looking after our dog, after we enquired about dates they were already busy on they said they were busy and couldn't help, when asked about other dates they didn't respond to messages.

I have been using Steve for several years now and trust him completely with my 2 cats. I wouldn’t use anyone else! Steve has a natural affinity with animals and has spent ages getting my rescue cats to feel comfortable with him. Nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend.
We have been using Adored Animals Hospitality for a number of years now and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Steve and his team have always provided a 5 star service when looking after both our dog Monty (who absolutely adores Steve) and our cats who are always happy when they’re visited to be fussed, fed & watered. I would highly recommend any of the services provided by Steve
Our dogs were very well looked after by Steve and Lottie while we were away. The home sitting was great and minimised disruption for the dogs. Steve is always very friendly and reliable, and we would highly recommend his services.
I can't speak highly enough of AAH, Stephen's passion for all animals is evident in his enthusiasm for offering a really great service ranging from popping in to feed your pet to arranging for his carefully vetted hosts to care for your friend if you're away. It's so reassuring to know that when you can't be there for your pet, Stephen is. Best pet care service I've found in Colchester.

Our little lab attends Happi Days every work day and absolutely loves it. They celebrate the dog's birthdays and always have themed events depending on the time of year. They also offer a discount if your dog attends more than a certain number of days a month. As of September we won't need daily day care for our pup but we'll still take him in on the odd occasion to see his pals.
So, so happy with the discovery of Happi Days! I thought it was just day care, I wasn't aware of the grooming service, a friend recommended them. We had Sophie as our groomer, the whole experience is a good one. You can feel the lovely atmosphere the second you walk into the place. Never been so impressed with a groomers, can't recommend them enough. I'd also like to point out the value for money. The amount of "extras" you get as the standard package is brilliant. For example, Pets At Home would charge extra for the nails cutting, Happy Days don't, that's just a standard thing they do.

Seems like a lovely place: we were looking for options on day time care from a surprise dog arrival. However, the cost was too much. I must specify that this is not a reflection on this company specifically. Dog daycare in general is an expensive cost which was something we cannot afford. This looked like the best in the area!
We take our dog to happi days and as soon as we mention the word she gets really excited. They do so much with her from partues to agility, walking in woods.
Plenty for dogs to do. They offer extras too for busy owners, like wash, groom, woodland walks. They take photos every day so you can see what your pooch got up to. Our dog has been for two half day sessions and comes home whacked but happy. Opens early and finishes late to fit in and the offer over night stays too.
Our dog goes to Happi Days Dog Day Care every week day and comes back home very tired so she must definitely enjoy her time there! They put daily pictures on facebook so that we can see what our dog has been up to. Staff are friendly. They also offer wood walks and other treatments but we have not tried them. I would definitely recommend them if you have got a high energy dog like ours (she's a beagle!). The price is also competitive in comparison to other creches.

Sam has cared for our cats many times over the years. She provides an exceptional service and all of my cats love her. She sends regular video and picture updates while we're away which are always lovely to see.

We've used Sam before, and she recently made twice-daily visits to our cat (Trubshawe), who developed Vestibular Disease a couple of weeks before our (UK) holiday. As Trubs is 15 now, he also has thyroid-related health problems that require oral treatment twice daily. Sam was first class, and kept us updated with how he was progressing from the beginning. My wife was greatly reassured that Trubshawe was getting some quality time with someone who was very much in tune with what he needed. Obviously there's sometimes attendant unpleasantness that comes with an indoor cat, but Sam knew right from the outset that we really wanted to be updated on Everything. We greatly appreciated the messages, photos and videos that accompanied her visits. Highly recommended and will definitely use her services again. Thank you.
Sam came and looked after our kitten Dulcie for several months and I can only sing her praises! The deep love and passion she has for animals clearly shows in her work! Dulcie came to see Sam as a best friend because that was how much attention and care Sam gave her. Every minute of our 30 minute sessions we spent playing, feeding and petting Dulcie and she loved every minute of it! Sam has been looking after our mad cockapoo Ruby 😊 for about 9 months now since we first brought her home at 8 weeks old. She takes Ruby out twice a day for us when we are at work and is always reliable and on time. My doggy companion always knows that she is soon going off on another holiday as soon as I get her Barking Mad bag out and start getting packing it - her tail starts wagging, and she knows that lovely, friendly Julie will be coming to take her safely to her holiday host, where she will have a fab time being spoiled by a welcoming, caring family. I can go off on my own breaks safe in the knowledge that my dog will be well cared for and happy, and we owners get regular text updates and pics of our dogs. I could not be happier with the service.
Julie has been an absolute blessing to our family. She runs the Barking Mad Colchester and Tendering branch with such professionalism and care and we cannot recommend her enough. We do a lot of traveling and are so grateful for the peace of mind that Barking Mad provides. You can relax while on holiday knowing that your dog is having a holiday too! Our golden retriever Snow has the time of her life when she visits her Barking Mad host families - we know because of the lovely postcard we get from Snow upon her return! Julie also texts me pictures of Snow’s holiday and lets me know that Snow has settled in her holiday home. When Julie comes to pick Snow up, she can hardly wait to leave and runs to the car. Even just seeing us pack up her Barking Mad bag gets Snow excited! We are so grateful to Julie for the exceptional service she has given us.
