We boarded our 17 year old Kitty at Lucky Stars recently. What a great place! Everyone was pleasant and seemed to enjoy working there. The kennels for cats are generously sized, private from other cats and have a window view. Kitty did not eat the first night so the staff spoon fed her some of her food encouraging her to eat on her own. We also found out that we needed an extra day and they happily accommodated us. Lucky Stars Country Kennel will definitely have Kitty as a guest again during our next trip.

Lucky Stars is a great place for all dogs. The people who work there truly care for your dog's well-being. When we pick our dog up from there, at least 4 times a week, she is ready for dinner and bed. The staff goes out of their way to cater to your dogs needs. I highly recommend this Luck Stars Country Kennel!!!!

We love taking our dogs here. The facility os clean, well staffed and they care about your pet. The dogs are always clean, happy and look like they had a great time when we pick them up. It would be great if they posted some pics of the kenneled dogs playing on their Facebook page. It would the dog parents relax more!

We've brought two different dogs here. Their kenneling options are wonderful, letting you set up an experience as interactive, playful, etc. - or not - as suits your dog. Their trainer gives great feedback and their setup was very wonderful for trying to work through the separation anxiety of my hyper reactive dog ... And now that dog is a happy pup to walk away from me and go okay with other dogs at their daycare. Absolutely recommend trying the variety of services they offer here!

Professionalism is a problem. They Yell at their employees and are extremely disrespectful too them. If they treat the employees this way, I can only imagine how they'd treat the pets there. I'll never leave my dogs there. The groomer also is bad.

Bardie is an amazing groomer. We've been taking our little Penny there for almost 5 years. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This was our fur baby's first time here. Our baby is a very large Rottweiler. So from the moment that I placed the 1st call to book the stay to when we picked our baby up has been the BEST experience ever so far. I absolutely love the ladies here and our baby was not stressed out when he came home. He loves the ladies here and enjoyed the cuddle times he got with them. We will continue to use Lucky Stars and will HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you ladies so much. See you in October.

I use to take my dog to the vet for grooming, but they recently stopped grooming so I brought my dog to Lucky Stars. I am SO happy with the results. Not only that but when I picked up my dog she was so calm and at ease! After grooming appointments at the vet she would always come out with her tail tucked and couldn't get to the car fast enough. So I was shocked when she came out with her tail wagging. I will definitely be using Lucky Stars from now on! Editing to add: my long hair dog who went to Lucky Stars for grooming passed away from old age. In the last year I got a puppy, and started taking him to Lucky Star for doggie daycare when I have longer days at work. He LOVES it! As soon as we pull in the driveway he knows he's at daycare amd he starts jumping around! When I pick him up at 5pm he is exhausted! He eats dinner, goes potty, and he is out for the whole night. It's a blessing after a long day at work!

We boarded our 3 dogs at Lucky Stars and could not be happier. Our dogs came back clean, happy and very content. The staff could not be anymore nicer or caring. Thank you.

We have three crazy quirky reactive pups that need separate kennels and Faraway had the perfect setup to accommodate them. Our pups were happy and healthy when we picked them up. It was obvious that their mental stimulation and physical needs were met and taken care of. They also made sure that our anxious pups were as comfortable! We would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Lisa and her crew are amazing! They are so good with our girls. It is so nice to be able to go away and know your pups are being cared for so well!

I just picked my dogs up from Lisa this evening and they didn't even care that I was there, it's like they didn't want to leave! Lisa and her staff take excellent care of pets being boarded and I know my pets enjoyed their stay. She has owned the kennel for around 25 years and I know she has so much knowledge and experience under her belt that I feel very comfortable leaving my pets at Faraway Kennels when I am away from home. This a wonderful place to take your pet to for boarding! They take great care of your animal. No extra charges for the little things, like medications. They work with dogs that have behavior issues, which made it great for me due to have a dog who has some behavior issues. I would highly recommend bringing your dog for a stay here. I will be bringing my boy back again for sure!

I boarded my 3 dogs here for 4 days and all my dogs came back completely healthy and happy to see me. I'm very happy with how helpful and nice the owners were and very much happy with the price. 2 of my dogs are typically very skittish and sometimes aggressive yet they had a great time and enjoyed all the attention. I definitely plan to use this place again for whenever I plan a trip again.

Faraway kennels is the only place that we trust to leave our pets when we go on vacation. Lisa and the crew do an exceptional job caring for the animals. If you're looking for peace of mind and a great value, this is the place to go.

Over the years, our dogs have been lovingly cared for at Far Away Kennel. Lisa, the owner, is always kind. Whenever we go away, we know she will take good care of Zoey for us. We wouldn't take Zoey anywhere else.

If I could rate higher than a 5, I would. I couldn't ask for better care for my dogs Reed & Daisy. I always had the confidence my pets were well cared for and loved while under their care. The communication to requests care was easy & open. My updates from every visit were amazing. I never had to take pictures because they sent the best. They were very adaptive to my dogs needs & never complained when there was an oppsie. The only reason I had to stop the services was due to my move. I wish they could still take care of my babies. I can't state how appreciative I am of the care they did for over a year. My future dog walker has big shoes to fill. I would definitely recommend their services. (I used the dog walking services).

Can't recommend Step and Premier Pet Care enough. Peace of mind while going out of town is so important and she provides that 10 fold with her "pupdates" including a bunch of pictures and a recap on the day.

Steph was amazing! I rarely leave my dog but when I have to I wouldn’t choose anywhere else for her to stay. I knew she was taken care of, was part of the family in a safe home environment and gots lots of pictures of her having fun with friends. Highly recommend!

Stephanie and Michele take great care of my dogs when we are away. My dogs really love both of them, and I can tell from photos that they are enjoying the visits, getting their walks and meals, and having fun. When we come home from our trips, my dogs always seem relaxed and happy. I feel confident that they are in good hands when we are gone, and I am very thankful for their support.

We've always received the BEST care for our boys from Premier Pet Care. They are always accommodating and extremely responsive. We love getting our daily pictures and “pup-dates” while we are away. I can't recommend them enough!

I recently boarded my 6 month old large breed puppy with the owner Steph at her home, cleverly named the ‘Bed & Biscuit’ option. Steph did a trial overnight prior to our dogs actual week long stay to ensure everything went well beforehand. She sent multiple photos of our dog daily, enjoying himself during daily walks to the park, lounging by her pool and snuggling up in her bed! He definitely lived his best life on his own mini vacation while I enjoyed my own out of town. Peace of mind for our furchildren is invaluable, and Steph treated our dog as if he were her own. Kim is absolutely amazing! She took care of our little Olli for 2.5 weeks while we were away for our destination wedding and honeymoon, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. She updated us multiple times a day with videos and photos of our pup, which made it so much easier to enjoy our time away, knowing Olli was in such good hands. Kim was a wonderful choice to pet and house sit for us! She was professional in every aspect. She took great care of our home and tremendous care of the many indoor/outdoor feral cats we have. furry Tails has been incredible in every way. Comes out daily 3x a day due to needing to go on vacation. Our pooch needed medicine and food at certain times and she juggled it all perfectly. Lots of loving & sent great photos during her time. Highly recommend

Kim is the absolute best! We have used her three times now and have always been incredibly happy with her care of our fur babies. We have three dogs and two cats with one of our dogs being a senior dog and one of our senior cats needing meds. She went above and beyond this last time sleeping on the floor an our senior dog to comfort him while we were away. She always sends daily pictures and will let us know how everyone is doing. I can't express how much I appreciate Kim with Furry Tail Wedding Day. She has been my regular dog sitter for more than 2 years now. I can always depend on Kim to take good care of our dog, Tucker. He considers himself a part of her family and sometimes doesn't want to come home.

Kim and Furry Tail was fantastic! We boarded our 2 dogs while we got married in Taneytown. Kim also brought them on site for our cocktail hour, all dressed in their wedding finest! She was communicative and sent fabulous photos and updates.She has a warm home and family and ample back yard space that my pups loved. She made our wedding dreams come true having our fur babes there and cared for!

Love to rent the pool for the dogs. They have a great time and get much needed exercise. Linda is a great swim teacher and the pool is always clean!

We boarded our older dog for 4 nights. During the 'interview', the owner was detached and barely interacted with our dog, telling us to just let him explore. When he fell into one of the drains around the play yard and was struggling to get out, she offered no help, and I had to help him out. She even told us that would help him learn to watch out for the drains. But based on other reviews, and the price, we boarded him there anyway. When we picked him up, he had feces caked on his bottom and he smelled very strongly of urine. We had to ask the young lady in charge for some paper towels, and she watched us clean him off as best we could. Even then, he smelled so badly that we took him to be bathed before we would even consider taking him home. Finally, they couldn't find his collar, and they didn't return his bedding. He's an older dog with anxiety, and while we have no idea what kind of care and interaction they provided while he was there, none of us, including our pet, were impressed, and we won't be boarding him there again. It may have been inexpensive, but in this case, we think we got less than what we paid for.

Absolutely fantastic! This was our first time boarding here. Our dog is an extremely anxious girl, so having to board her makes me nervous. Upon arrival the owner sat with us outside the building until our dog was calm and ready to go in. We did this at each step of the journey to the kennel our dog would be using. I have never had individualized care like this at any boarding facility! I was able to leave our dog there knowing she was going to be taken care of.

First time we left our dog we adopted only six months ago. I think we're more nervous than he was. Everyone was very nice and put us at ease. Showed us around the whole facility which is very nice. Everyone there truly care about the welfare of all the animals in their care. Came back to a happy healthy pup that seemed to of had a great vacation! Nice to not have to worry about him knowing he is in good hands. Thanks and I'm sure he'll be back again.

Best place around and very nice people I'd take my pets there anytime. They have boarding, dog pool, and dog training. Some of the best people i ever met.

Owner is amazing and so accommodating. The best part is the price per night us reasonable and she doesn't tack on surprise "extra" charges. Like petting time, or treats, or walks. The "pamper" charge that some places call it. It's already built into the per night. You don't need your dog to go to and overpriced spa for them to be loved and well taken care of while you're gone. Side note: the play yard is super cool.

Linda is THE BEST! She cares for your animals like nobody else. We have been returning every summer for 12 years. Every time he goes, he is SPOILED! It is worth the drive! You just don't worry while you are gone.

Whoever drives the silver Chevy with the Timber Ridge Kennel sticker on the rear window should have their license revoked. Almost wrecked into me today on 895 driving like an absolute maniac. Wouldn’t suggest taking your animals here with the way this d canoe handles himself.

I was looking for a "family run" business to leave my puppy because I'm tired of all these places not really providing her with the exercise and cuddles that she needs. Turns out this place is worse. My dog is extremely go with the flow and doesnt really care much about anything as long as theres a place to run around. I couldnt really get in touch with Linda (owner) because she appears to be very busy as she runs this place completely on her own. I had a few phone calls with her and everything seemed fine. She did get frustrated with the phone service she had and abruptly hung up on me mid conversation but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. My boyfriend dropped her off and described it to "look like a shelter" but he can be dramatic and like I said shes usually fine as long as she can play. When i picked her up Linda was not there. I called her and she said she'd be there in 15, so I waited in my car. About 7 min later I hear someone legit SCREAMING at me "HELLO! HELLO IM HERE HELLO...." and so I got out of my car. she told me to go get my dog (pretty sure she didnt even know which one was mine). I walked down the rows of screaming dogs and basically paid and left. It was sooo hot and steamy in the "shelter" room....no report on how she was, no conversation, nothing. My dog was completely unlike herself. she had absolutely no voice (usually her voice is hoarse but it was GONE), she looked like she was in shock. this is soooo unlike my dog. I was beyond upset and would never recommend or bring her back here. I dont typically write reviews especially in such detail, but I feel like I wish I did some more research and listened to my gut. The idea behind the place is nice, but Linda is completely understaffed and the dogs are very clearly just locked away and let out a few times here and there. No neglect happened or anything, I just didnt like the way it looked/felt/she was acting...

We contacted Pawwws Aboard to see if they were able/willing to watch a mini pig. Jazmin stated she had never done it but was willing to try. She came to meet him and we all felt comfortable so we booked her for 2 visits a day while we were away. She has fair pricing with multiple ways to pay. She was very communicative while we were away and sent pictures, videos, and updates during each visit. We felt at ease knowing she was there taking care of our pig. Will definitely use Pawwws Aboard again for future trips if she’s available

She is an awesome puppy sitter!! I will definitely be using her the next time my husband and I go on vacation! She sent us videos everyday for updates on our little one and she was always happy and playing. She showed our Frenchie lots of love and attention. I was very nervous about leaving her but she assured me that she was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about! She has a forever client here!

Jaz has been amazing! Pups and I moved to Baltimore and were so lucky to have found her! Takes great care and they adore her. I have a pup that needs meds twice a day, She is very responsible and I can trust her to be on time. I travel a lot for work, wouldn’t know what to do without her!

I had a pause in my need for a pet sitter during the past year. We just did a camping trip and needed to board our fur babies. Even though we moved further away from Jazmin, I thought of her first. She responded quickly that she had an opening and during our trip she sent pictures of Emma playing with a toy and Lingling playing with the puppy, Beauty. I knew they were in good hands!

Absolutely the best pet sitting/house watching available! Professional, compassionate, and adaptable. The last time we used Go Away Pet Sitting our 6 large dogs (different ages medical needs) and 4 cats decided to be on their worst behavior and this did not stop Donna from providing them love and care. Our house also decided to act up with our oven beeping for no known reason the entire time and still Donna stayed the entire time and made sure our animals welfare came 1st! It’s not just Donna either, her team is equally as amazing because so much is put into training and setting them up for success with every client new and old every time. I could not imagine trusting any other organization with my animals wellbeing!

This was our first time using Go Away Pet Sitting and we were nothing but impressed!!! From Kenzie keeping us posted with pics to getting our mail, watering the garden and more….. Go Away Pet Sitting, Donna and her staff (especially the AMAZING Courtney!!) are a fantastic resource! We are able to vacation, spend long hours at our kids' sporting events, and everything else without a worry thanks to them! I almost don't want to review them because I want to keep them and their awesomeness all to myself! Donna watched our one year old German Shepard mix and cat while we were away for two weeks. She took our dog out for walks and played with her in the back yard. Donna by far is the best animal sitter we have ever used! We have 2 elderly animals, a dog and a cat! We used her for the first time recently and were more then impressed not only with her professionalism, but how she treated our elderly fur babies as if they were her own! Donna stayed with our 2 dogs for a few days while we were out of the state at my sons' hockey tournament. She sent us regular updates and photos to let us know that they were doing well. It was so much more relaxing to come home and have my girls not stressed after a stay at the kennel and not having a 1 hour round trip drive to the kennel was a plus too! The house was perfectly maintained while we were away. Donna is a true professional when it comes to setting up her services. While it does take some time to fill out all of the information about your animals and your house (lighting, keys, entrances, mail, etc), it's reassuring to know that she has all the info she needs while we are away and that our house and pets are in good hands. We are so pleased that we have scheduled her later this summer during our family vacation. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring professional and reliable pet sitter.

I have never felt so at ease leaving my cats before!! Happy Paws is so beautiful and clean, I only wish they had a franchise in Kentucky where we came from! One of my cats is very anxious and hard to deal with, and Patti and Dan were able to work with that and make his stay as comfortable as possible. My other cat had such a good time that she didn't seem to want to leave when I went to pick them up! I won't even think of taking my cats anywhere else now that I've found Happy Paws!

This was the first time boarding my cat Beanie at Happy Paws, and I’m so excited and relieved to have found such an amazing place!! We’ve tried other cat boarding places and I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve left her for a week and was not worried at all because I knew she was being given the best care from Patti and Dan. They’re both so genuinely nice and caring, and took great care of Beanie and gave her lots of attention (she’s very needy 😹). They check in with you every day with pictures and there’s an option for a webcam so you can check on your cat whenever you’d like to! Boarding my cat and being away from her used to be the worst part of going away, but now I almost look forward to it because I have no worries and know she will receive great care and get a vacation of her own! It’s such a huge weight off my shoulders knowing she’s being cared for by people who love cats just as much as I do. I boarded my two cats (Felix and Luna) here last month and had an absolutely amazing experience! I really wish I could give more stars. This was the first cat boarding experience where I felt completely at ease having my cats away from home and will definitely be my first choice for cat care from now on. I really appreciated the photo and text updates and the ability to check in on them via webcam. Patti and Dan are so kind and were so gracious about the fact that we arrived as a total mess (both my cats got carsick on the trip over). The facilities were immaculate and comfortable--I told all my friends the cats had a more glam vacation than I did! And I loved knowing that my cats were getting plenty of attention. I'm so grateful to have this service available and can now look forward to going on more trips without having to stress about how the cats are doing.

We boarded our cat in September 2022. Knowing she would be in the best possible care of Dan and Patti was a great feeling! Our cat enjoyed herself so much that she acted as if she didn't want to leave. Dan and Patti pay attention to detail, are friendly and personable, will answer all of your questions, and show that they want your baby to feel at home. Cannot say enough good things about Happy Paws! We do not stress when we go out of town because we know the cats are in great hands! They make is so easy to drop off and pick up based on our travel schedules. 10/10 Recommend!

This was Tucker's first visit to Happy Paws. He enjoyed it so much that he hardly noticed me when I came to take him home! Patty and Dan have created a beautiful space where each room features a large window where cats can watch birds at feeders, sky boxes for climbing and perching and cozy beds for napping. Everything is clean and bright. Both Tucker and I are looking forward to his next visit!

I am so glad to find Happy Paws! Patti and Dan really care for the kitties in their care and know that there is a huge difference in boarding a cat vs boarding a dog. This cats- only place is super clean and each room is thoughtfully laid out for the cat's comfort. From the first inquiry to the day I picked up my cat, I was impressed. I wholeheartedly recommend Happy Paws.

Wish I could give more stars! The best boarding facility for cats. The Daltons understand cats and provide the best of care. My cat is not the easiest guest but they were wonderful and patient with him. Cannot say enough great things about this place.

This review is long overdue as our Rosie had the pleasure of staying at Happy Paws in March 2022. Patti and Dan were great to work with from start to finish. First we checked out their website and were impressed with the fact that 1) it was only for cats, 2) individual rooms that allow your cat to be free and able to walk around, 3) they email you photos of your cat, and 4) the option to have video access to check in on them 24/7. Even though the website was impressive we visited their spot to scope the place out because you can’t trust everything you see on the internet. Patti and Dan are very personable. When you meet them you can tell they are genuinely nice people who love what they do and will treat your cat like theirs. Happy Paws is attached to their home and knowing they are always nearby put our mind to ease about leaving Rosie in their care. Some of the rooms are located so that they are able to see birds, squirrels, chipmunks, or even deer roaming. Patti and Dan are very professional. When we dropped off Rosie they checked for fleas. Rosie got car sick on the way and had an accident in her carrier. Without hesitation Patti graciously took her carrier and cleaned up Rosie’s mess. Rosie happily went to her room, quickly acclimated to her new surroundings, and forgot about us. They even ask for things such as their feeding schedule, where they like to be petted, etc. Each room has a wall mural decorated around a certain theme and some even have built in cat towers on the wall. We can’t say enough nice things about Happy Paws, its something you have to experience on your own. We only wish we could give them more than 5 stars.

Patti and Dan are wonderful people to work with. Although we have had our cat, Buddy, for almost 5 years now, we have never had to use boarding while on vacation. This was the first time we had to. Dan was very thorough in answering the many questions we had, and Patti proved to be the expert in caring for cats. Their place is uniquely designed with suites for each cat. They are strictly cat people, so Buddy did not have to deal with dog barking next door. Each of their suites has at least one large window (some have two), and is very nicely decorated with beautiful sceneries on the walls, and other fun things for the cats to enjoy. Both Patti and Dan made our experience very pleasant, and we felt so comfortable knowing that our Buddy was in good hands for 3 weeks. Happy Paws is so much better for cats than placing them in traditional cat boarding where they sit all day inside a cage, for days to come. We are so happy we found Happy Paws, and feel great knowing that Buddy has an ideal place to go to in the future while we are out of town. We live in Ellicott City, and it was worth the 1-hour drive to get to this wonderful place. Highly recommended!

Ursula is a fantastic pet sitter! Whenever I have to leave town she's always happy to watch my cat and take care of her. My cat absolutely loves her and I fully trust her to take good care of her. She texts pictures daily when she stops by and always communicates clearly about medications or anything else that needs to be taken care of. Over all I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter to take care of my cat while I'm away. I highly recommend Ursula!

Ursula is amazing! Our 6 month old large breed puppy loves her and she always keeps us informed after each visit with pictures and updates. Our neighbor even commented on how much she clearly loves our pup. We are lucky to have found someone so attentive and helpful.

Ursula was great! This was our 1st time using her and a dog sitting service in general while we were away for a few days. I just wasn’t comfortable using a dog kennel for my pup. I cannot say enough positive things about Ursula. We have used other dog walking companies, but she is the best. She is warm and genuinely excited to see our dog every day. We can also tell that he really likes her too! She walks him for the full time we requested and ensures he has treats and fresh water before she leaves. I've been using D'Tails Pet Service for dog walking/potty breaks for about a year, and am very happy I found them! When I first rescued my dog, she was very skittish and intimidated most people, but not Ursula! My dog warmed up to Ursula quickly and is always happy to see her. Rosa trained my dog Scooch for his reactivity. He was very anxious and aggressive towards dogs and would react very negatively, he would never go on walks because it was embarrassing to walk a dog that was so out of control. Rosa has been working with Luna and I and she is amazing if I have an issue at home she gets back to me very quickly and she is so patient with me and my dog. I've worked with Lyndsey for 2 years, turning our high energy German Shepherd pup Whiskey into an amazing companion. I have been taking my dog Stella to Doggy Daycare Plus for months now and am extremely happy with the program and Lyndsay's care of the dogs. When I pull up to the facility in the morning my dog recognizes where she is, and is excited to go in and start her day. At the end of the day when I pick up my dog she has expended a lot of energy and clearly had a great day. I was anxious about adopting a puppy, as I know I do not have the skills to train them; I’d only ever adopted seniors, so I enrolled for training ASAP! I have a Huskita puppy. If you know the breed, you KNOW they need to be properly trained! Lindsey at Obedient Blue is amazing! 10/10! Not only did she train my crazy puppy, but taught ME as well! Lyndsey is an amazing trainer! We had recently adopted a 3 year old dog that has never been socialized with other dogs, had some behavior issues and needed help with basic obedience. Lyndsey is extremely professional and responded to us quickly. She came out to our home for a consultation gave us tips on what to do at home and then started our training class with her. She has been nothing but amazing with helping our pup become more confident in herself and she’s a lot more obedient. Her daycare classes have also been a plus in helping our dog become socialized and she isn’t as afraid anymore. Lyndsey is very accommodating when it comes to payments and in my opinion is worth every penny. Lyndsey has not only been a great trainer but I feel I’ve gained a friend out of her. If you’re looking for the perfect place to train your dog or someone to trust leaving your dog with when you need a dog sitter, this is it. Lyndsey is the one person I trust with my dog and will continue to bring her to.

We had the pleasure of doing Obedient Blue’s 12 week program with Lyndsey and cannot speak more highly of her and the program. Upon arrival you’ll quickly see how much she cares for dogs and that it being the reason for OB’s very existence. Then as you progress through the program you’ll be eased from overthinking every approach you’ve read or seen while also learning from her deep knowledge and coaching. Admittedly, you will have homework. She’s not going to solve your training 1 hour per week but it pays off. My parents have Harper’s 2 siblings and I can confidently say her enrollment in the program has put her leaps and bounds beyond her siblings. She is now trained on most all commands you can think and walks trails daily with me off leash. In summary, she cares, trust the process. Our quality of life now is proof. Thanks Lyndsey!

Lyndsey was fantastic. She listened to our problems (super smart lovable dog who jumps on everyone when they come in the house, can't control her excitement), understood our budget constraints and scheduled an assessment so she could give us options. She was kind and great with our dog. She taught us how to work with our dog and build on the training we had already done. In just 2 weeks, we saw a remarkable improvement. It's been a month and the dog's behavior is so much better, she has an occasional slip up but responds to commands. Lyndsey worked within our budget at our home and gave us tips and the tools to solve our problem. We called several trainers and they said they couldn't work within our budget, at our home (which was necessary for my elderly parents) or with multiple owners (also necessary). We were skeptical about finding anyone who could help us until we called Lyndsey! She was very encouraging, helpful and kind.
