My dog (Molly) has been going to Lindum House for the occasional daycare as well as long stays. I love the fact that it's a home from home. Molly is excited when I drop her off, and exhausted when I pick her up. I know she just has the best time with Sam and her doggy pals! From the moment I reached out, Sam was incredibly responsive and took the time to answer all of my questions, easing any concerns I had about leaving my dog. Her communication is always so efficient, she sends updates and pictures that makes me feel completely at ease. My dog is treated like family, and I can tell that Sam and her whole family genuinely care about the well-being of the dogs. I highly recommend Lindum House to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional daycare or long stay.

Wonderful Sam and her family have been looking after our beagle Wilson since March of this year. We had been looking for a home from home experience for Wilson for a while and came across Sam and Lindum House dog sitting via a friend’s recommendation. What a fantastic recommendation it was!! Wilson has been a regular at Sam’s with a recent week long stay and boy did he have fun, snuggles and lots of sniffy walks 🐶 Sam has also administered regular medication to Wilson and also took him to the vets when his claw became sore. Sam goes above and beyond to ensure your pup has a great experience, alongside sending ‘pup dates’ which we have been so glad to receive. Wilson adores going to Sam’s and is completely comfortable and at ease finding his special area to snooze. THANKYOU to Sam and her lovely family for being just amazing, Wilson looks forward to his next stay xx

Just getting slightly jealous that our cavapoo, Alfie, gets quite SO excited when he knows we are arriving at Lindum House!! He goes there for the morning twice a week whilst we have personal training, and has been very much at home since day one. He dotes on the fabulous Sam, and even Adam on a good day!! He also loves his besties Ginger & Alfred, plus meeting different new ‘mates’ on each play date. He gets a great walk with the gang too. First sleepover on Thursday. Cannot recommend LH highly enough.

Lola had a great week with Sam at Lindum House Dog Sitting. Excellent communication and great photos and videos sent during her stay. She’s come back home a tired but happy dog. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely home from home setting - my dogs have been going weekly for day care to settle in and one overnight stay before a couple of short stays while we’ve been away on long weekends. Sam is great with the dogs and they love staying

My beautiful beagle has just had the best week at Lindum House. A rather excitable rescue pup with a huge thirst for play, I was a bit nervous about leaving him to go on holiday as other dogs can find him a bit much! I should’t have been. Sam was brilliant- she listened to my concerns and made great suggestions about how things could be made easier for him (and other less enthusiastic dogs 🤣), kept me up to date and had obviously taken the time to really get to know him. He has been fed well, exercised a lot and most importantly, happy. I wholeheartedly recommend Sam and Lindum House Dog Sitting- thank you for making his stay such a great one and being so patient with him

My dog stayed for two weeks at Lindum House after a trial night sleepover to settle in and get to know everyone. Sam kept me updated with messages, photos and videos and it looked like he had the best time! He went on nice walks and was kept on the lead as I asked apart from in dog secure fields where he ran around with other dogs. He was given medication when needed and even had some much-needed training on the lead. Can’t recommend Lindum House enough!

Our Working Cocker Winston has been looked after by Sue a couple of times now. She is obviously a dog lover and takes good care of her charges. Winston is very happy at Lindum and comes back exhausted from the days activities.

Sam looked after our very elderly and deaf Labrador for 2 weeks. I was a bit concerned that our dog would be overwhelmed by the other canine visitors but Sam reassured me that she would take good care of her. I collected a happy and relaxed dog for which we are very grateful to Sam and her family.

Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!

We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. Stan obviously enjoyed his walks and runs and his time with them. Thanks again to Bev & Flora. Great service.

My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!

Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!

Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.

For assurance that your dogs and cats are in good hands when you go on holiday then get peace of mind with Bev at Happy Pets and Paws in Ilminster. After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.

Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!

Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.

My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

Lily & Rosco say they loved Paws and Klaws when they rented out a field they had so so much fun esp Lily as she cannot be let off as her recall is so bad so she made the most of every second! Lily and Rosco absolutely recommend it as it’s enclosed and safe with fabric up so the dogs can’t see anything through the fence it has lots of agility equipment in it and water bowl and lots of tennis balls to chase they can’t plant it and will be returning as soon as possible they are both tired out and sleeping! If would come every day if I could ! Absolutely fantastic !!! I cannot recommend enough! I hired the pool and it was incredible. Spare towels, plenty of balls, shelter if needed, a net to get toys out of the water, a ladder for accessibility for humans and even doggy planks for them to get out of the water! Amazing quality for price ! We brought our 5 dogs for £20 and a 50 minute session. Alex was incredibly helpful too so thank you very much!! I’ve booked for next month already!

Though it’s been over a year, I still feel strongly about what happened during my dog’s stay, so I wanted to share my experience. I had booked my Giant Schnauzer into Paws and Claws for a three-week stay while I was due to travel to Australia. After just one day, however, I received a call from the kennel informing me that my dog had bitten a staff member’s finger, and they insisted I collect him immediately despite my travel plans. Their website promises that pets will be 'cuddled, stroked, warm, loved, played with, and kept in utmost comfort throughout their stay,' but in my case, it seemed they were unprepared to handle a breed like a Giant Schnauzer. My dog has a protective nature and can be anxious around unfamiliar people. I believe that, due to this lack of understanding, a staff member was bitten while trying to photograph him. If you have a dog with an anxious or protective temperament, I recommend seeking a kennel with experience handling similar breeds. This experience was both stressful and disappointing, and I would advise others to be cautious if they own dogs with similar needs.

Took my boy, and my friends dog to paws n klaws today, my first time not theirs. We had an absolute blast. The staff were so beyond kind and helpful. The dogs had the beat time and so did we the pool was the perfect temp aswell during the heat. We can't wait to come back 🙌 …

Booked to use the secure field so my younger pup could have some off lead fun with my older dog. Great facilities, dogs had a blast and loved all the agility equipment.

Amazing place for you dog, we used their day care when we travelled to Yeovil, and we were welcome very warmly! It was a first for Snow, and she did not want to go back home! Very highly recommended!

Charlie loves it at Paws n Klaws - he is so excited when he arrives and doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic.

Friendly staff and the secure fields are well maintained

If you love your dogs, do not use this man to care for your dogs. I employed him to care for my two dogs for two weeks and house sit whilst I went on holiday. He failed to provide even the basic level of care for my dogs and one was left covered in red raw sores and a bald and infected tail. He clearly hadn’t even walked them as there was large amounts of faeces in the garden and my dogs never use the garden as a toilet unless absolutely desperate and no other option. My neighbours confirmed that they saw no evidence that he was there during the day or night. My dogs were left extremely distressed and in pain when I got home yet this man claims not to have noticed either the sores or any level of suffering. He lied to me throughout and continued to lie about his level of care until I showed him evidence of his actions had had on my babies.

Very happy to recommend George, he walks our two Dalmatians every week and they not only adore him ( I totally trust their judgment ) but come home suitably exhausted.

Jan is amazing. I travel from South Devon to leave my dogs with Jan she is so good. I have known her almost 20 years and she has looked after all the dogs I have had in that time - including elderly rescues. I wouldn't go any where else- she is amazing with all dogs and trustworthy - so worth the extra drive to know I will collect a happy, well cared for dog who loves it so much there they don't always want to come home.

We have used Jan at Langport for more than 10 years as we hated putting our Basset Hounds in kennels. She has a several acre field right next to the house where they are exercised frequently. In addition she takes them out for a proper walk each day.All the dogs of every breed sleep in her house and they all seem to love it. She is also very knowledgeable about dogs, horses and other pets. I think she has also just been awarded 5 stars by Defra. When one of our Bassets was ill she actually slept downstairs with her: an amazingly dedicated and kind lady.

Jan is excellent with our dogs. They are always happy there and sadly I feel at times they dont want to come home!

My dog goes here and he always comes home tired. And Jan is a nutter, she will walk the dogs come rain or shine

Laura is so caring and kind aswell as extremely reliable and trustworthy. She has looked after our sausage dog on a few occasions and we feel no guilt leaving him, he absolutely loves her company! I highly recommend Laura without a doubt.

Laura has just started to pop in three days a week to feed my two dogs at lunchtime. She has been fabulous. Sends photos every day of what they are up to. Highly recommend.

Barking Mad Taunton found us the perfect host for our two dogs while we had a lovely holiday knowing our dogs were being well cared for. After the distress they suffered after their last time in kennels this is the perfect solution. Will certainly use them again.

So grateful to have found The Country Dog Hotel for our boy. Despite not living close, we knew it was the right place for him & it definitely lived up to our expectations! From being picked up in style, to the daily pics/ vids (can I say almost professional photoshoots!) , to kindly administering his medication, to taking some pics of him to celebrate our wedding day, to having a direct line to Mike & Rebecca, to a goodie bag of homemade biscuits in a beautiful jute bag, to him returning home smelling AMAZING from his pampering session. Our miniature dachshund recently stayed with The Country Dog hotel, he does suffer from separation anxiety so we worried greatly about how he’d get on, but we needn’t have worried, they cared for our pup just like we do. When he was a bit anxious and sick, they had him checked over by their vet just to be on the safe side and kept us constantly updated, he even got to sleep in the human bed…on their heads and had loads of snuggles…he knows how to get what he wants! Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had regular updates, pictures and constant reassurance that our pup was doing great, in fact I think he wishes he could have stayed for longer! He was picked up and dropped back home in style, and even got some home baked dog biscuits with his name on. Thank you to everybody at the country dog hotel for looking after our Ralph and giving him a nice luxury holiday for 5 days and being the best at what you do, we had no doubt that he was cared for, loved and safe throughout his stay.

The Country Dog Hotel is absolutely incredible! Our cocker spaniel Archie was looked after from the moment he got picked up. Becks and Mike are so wonderful, as are all of the staff, and really make it feel like Archie is staying with family. They offer an amazing service and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough! It is all of the little touches that really show how much passion the team has - from all of the photos and videos you get sent, the spa treatments in a roll top bath, to the personalised home made biscuits he came home with! If you’re going on holiday, there is no place like it to know that your dog will be treated like part of a family!

Our labradoodle, Milo, recently had a VIP vacation at The Country Dog Hotel. I was worried about him staying as he does suffer with some anxiety from being away from us, but he had a splendid time and really enjoyed his 5* lifestyle. Nothing was too much trouble and I received lots of photos and updates from Mike to put my mind at rest. He had such a fantastic time that all he has done is sleep since! Milo will definitely be back for a stay in the future as I know his every need will be catered for and he will have so many amazing adventures. I highly recommend The Country Dog Hotel to any dog owner as it’s a home away from home experience.

Our dog Duffy had a wonderful stay here! Love seeing her smile in each photo. She enjoyed so many different fun activities there and even had a spa day! It’s good to have such a nice dog hotel and to know our beloved dog is in good hands. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Well picked our dog up last night and all he did was pine on the way home. I dont think he wanted to leave after 21 days. He looks healthier than when we dropped him off! Had regular updates while on holiday. Thank you for looking after him

After long and tedious searches to have our little girl whilst we were away we were so fortunate to find the Country Dog Hotel, Rebecca, Mike and the Team were absolutely fabulous and so professional. On our arrival we felt so happy and relaxed that Bella was staying at this amazing doggy hotel, it has the most idyllic surroundings for your loved one to be exercised and meet new friends whilst out on their daily walks. We received daily videos from the team which again gave us the reassurance that Bella was having a fabulous time and looked so happy. I have taken my rescue dog to Tracey at Pondarosa, after hearing many good reports over the years. I have used the Boarding kennels I have worked at for over 30 years but now with new owners with different standards ,I decided to try Pondarosa I must say I am very impressed ! I highly recommend Pondarosa the staff are lovely and my dog goes in eagerly.Very clean and the added bonus of a free run area . Thank you Tracey for the welcome and peace of mind I have leaving Dora with you.

I very rarely write reviews unless something is outstanding (either way, good or bad). I was looking for a 2nd kennel in case my current kennels were busy. Very abrupt and dismissive on phone. Essentially, we don't want your business as you own a Bullmastiff. Was told this breed does not kennel well (tar and brush come to mind). Fortunately my current kennels do not feel that way, and welcomes my dog often.

Monty and Bella love their stays at Pondarosa and always come back happy and healthy. Very lovely kind and caring staff who obviously form a good bond with the dogs they look after so well. Lovely outdoor enclosed area where the dogs can run around safely. Highly recommend.

I have been a customer for several years. [ appox 25 years] In all that time they have been excellent. They are a very caring family and they look after your pets as though they were their own. They are very polite and helpful at all times. Highly recommended to anyone that are thinking of searching for a reputable kennels for their dog 🐕 👍

My two dogs, Titch and Toby have just spent the last week at Pondarosa and we couldn't have been more happy with the service and the attention our dogs received. A super family run kennels in beautiful surroundings. The staff were amazing and eased any worries of leaving our pooches behind with them, lovely clean kennels and our holiday was made easier knowing they were in safe hands. We highly recommend using pondarosa and will be using them again in the future.

Always worried about putting my dogs in Kennels but not anymore. My Dog Yogi flies out the car when he gets there and runs to the gate tail wagging and as soon as it’s open he’s gone. Makes me feel happy to go away knowing he is happy too. Thank you for looking after him so well.
