My little girl pup needed a trim. Actually she needed a whole grooming, I was referred to this place, they were definitely more than adequate. My dog came out looking beautiful. Even though she's an old pup I would recommend them. They all were kind and patient, My dog and I were very happy

The Good Dog Spot was amazing to my 8 month old golden retriever pup. We wanted to get away for a long weekend and placed our pup in their hands. She had very favorable report cards! We took advantage of their puppy package too, which meant playtime and a gourmet treat. She came home happy and we felt at peace leaving her there knowing she would be safe and comfortable. Cooper loved the TGDS. He was there when he was a puppy and now still visits for regular grooming. We love their services. They always kept us informed about his progress with tons of pictures. Will certainly recommend them highly to anyone looking for an amazing place to send your furry family members. They offer daycare, overnight stays, grooming and more. I will definitely will be bringing my new puppy to THDS as soon as I get another one. They are very nice and did a beautiful job on my dog Anna. Unfortunately, Anna was NOT having it when it came to her nails (we tried and unfortantely, she has to be put under anesthesia to get them done. She has been clipped and bled too many times with the quick in her nails when she was younger. The Good Dog Spot did try.) Please don't read bad into this as it was her very first time in 6 years getting pampered professionally. She got nicked at her vet, Dunkin Doggies, and a few other places but NOT at The Good Dog Spot. They give report cards on the grooming, which I think is great. She came out smelling great!! We have given her her baths before since she was a 4 month old puppy. She loves her bath time. Whenever we take a bath she tries to jump in with us. We have to say no its our bath time. Will definitely bring her back again!! Well worth it!! Saves on our backs and cleaning the tub and bathroom after she splashes and shakes!! (LOL)

The good dog spot has been a great place for my dogs over the last several years. They enjoy their visits for playgroup/ daycare and for boarding. The staff is friendly (to humans and dogs) and caring.

My dog Lucy had a grooming with Lisa Peloquin. Lucy was tired when she got home, but Lisa did an amazing job. Lucy was so clean and shiny, she smelt amazing and her nails were perfect. Highly recommend.

Our dog Kelly has been going to The Good Dog Spot for a year, and there is no better doggie daycare around. We have always felt comfortable leaving her in their care, whether it's for daycare, grooming, or boarding. They have great staff that works hard to socialize the pups and make sure they have the best time while they're in their care. Kelly loves all her friends at daycare and is always so happy go.

My girl (on the right) loves it here. She attends daycare once weekly with several of her Canine best friends. In addition to helping physically tire her out, she also partakes in the Trick of the Month club to help work her mind. She also gets groomed monthly to help us manage her undercoat. She is always excited to arrive and see all her friends. She truly loves the staff and they do a great job making you feel like part of the family. I recommend them to anyone who asks.

Love hiw staff goes above and beyond to care for my dog. Communication is excellent and even though my pup is shy they find ways to include him on things while giving him his space.

We started taking my dog to the Good Dog Spot about a year ago, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff is all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and our dog always comes home happy and tired from a day of playing with his friends. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and we love that they provide daily reports and sometimes pictures so we can see what he's been up to. I highly recommend this dog daycare to anyone looking for a safe and fun environment for their furry friend.

Great place to bring your pet. The staff is very nice. The kennels are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The pups have access to be inside or outside whenever they choose. The price is very reasonable as well.

This place is fantastic! The folks at the front office are extremely nice, organized and the place is very clean. Having lived here only a year I was worried about finding a place to board my 2 dogs while traveling but this place is perfect. My dogs are always super excited once they know we are headed to Mt Tom boarding and they have not been like this when going to other places. I could not recommend more.

Mt Tom Kennel is the ONLY place I will ever board my precious pups. Kuma and Kimchi love it here! The staff is absolutely incredible! Thank you so much Tommy, and John for always answering the phone, giving me updates, and giving my pup’s attention. I can travel peacefully knowing my babies are safe! The facility is super clean and I’ve never had an issue with “kennel cough”. I highly recommend boarding your pets here!

Staff are friendly. They've been our veterinarian for all our huskies. I would recommend them. They provide good service, and they send application reminders .

My dog was happy and healthy when I picked him up, the staff was great, the price was right... overall, an excellent experience.

I have brought by dog to numerous different kennels and keep finding I am most satisfied with leaving her here. She can go in and out as she pleases, it is nestled in a nice area by Mount Tom state reservation. She has always come back in excellent health. I have been dealing with the same person there for years and they come across as professional and caring. When I have to go out of town, leaving her here has been a worry free experience.

We've been boarding with Mt. Tom Kennel for over 10 years. Joe and his staff have always made sure our dogs receive the best care. I have never been disappointed. I've seen some of the negative comments here and I can't imagine that there is any relation to the treatment from the staff. Kennels at time will be noisy yes, but swing by during the night and all is calm and never anything unusual going on. Overall the staff is friendly, caring, knowledgeable and tend to like what they do.

I boarded my cats here years ago and they did a great job. I have my one year old lab scheduled to be boarded over Thanksgiving. The people here are very nice and real animal-lovers. My vet is on the same property so it gives me peace-of-mind.

I have been using this kennel for almost 10 years. My dogs are always in good care there. It is a busy place, but that is typically the nature of boarding kennels. They provide consistently good customer service and there are always at least 2 or 3 staff waiting to help when I arrive. I have never personally had any problems or worried that my dogs are being mistreated. They take my dog on a daily leash walk and there is an enclosed run attached to each indoor kennel. It is also very reasonably priced for what it provides. They are attached to a vet's office. If you want something that is more of a low-key home environment, then you will pay more and this isn't that type of kennel. I will continue to go there as long as they are in business and provide the care they do.

Danielle and her team at Big Buddha Pet Services have been a part of our day-to-day lives for quite some time now and their services are great. Danielle is responsive, professional, kind and funny, and our dog and cats adore her and her crew. And on special occasions they love their surprise treats from her. Our days are easier knowing that Big Buddha Pet Services is helping us care for our pets, and we highly recommend them!

Great place

We are so happy we found Porter Road Pet Care! We just got back from a week trip and sent our 2 year old GSD here. He gets nervous around others at first and needs a little time to trust and they did so well with him! I could see how happy he was in their updates and when we picked him up. He played with other dogs at his stay there and was sleeping nice and cozy when we picked him up! This place helped me relax on our trip. And I can't wait to send him here again!

Owner and staff are terrific! Maple starts getting excited even as we pull in the driveway for daycare drop off. Jen does a great job grooming too!! The best one stop shop for you pets.

Had a great experience boarding my dog here. She is a nervous girl and gets anxiety when I leave. She also needs slow intros with other dogs and the staff were so lovely and accommodated for her needs. They made sure she got attention, ate, and had her meds on time. Her kennel was clean and spacious with an outdoor run. I loved the web cam option so I could see her. When I picked her up she was happy and not as anxious as she’s been when trying other sitting services while I’m away. I will definitely return and highly recommend them!

It was my old boy Prince's first time there. His old groomer said they couldn't groom him anymore because his hind legs give up on him. The wonderful people at Porter Road groomed him, were so kind to him, and said he could come back anytime!

Driving into the property, I knew we found the right place for our dogs and cats. The location is beautiful and it is immediately obvious that the family loves pets. The owner accommodated our needs. We received pics of our dogs on their walk and they looked so happy! Drop off and pick up were efficient. Well worth the trip from Enfield/ East Windsor line.

I cannot say enough good things about porter road pet care and their staff. My Great Dane is a nervous boy but the team here does such a great job with him. Knowing he’s in such great hands eases my own anxiety about being away from him. There’s no one I would trust more with my boy

Had a wonderful experience. My corgi had a 10 day stay while we were on vacation. We were able to watch her on camera and able to call to voice any of the concerns that we had. Everyone was willing to discuss her daily routine and made the extra effort to help her adapt to her temporary stay. When we picked her up on the 10th day she was bathed, smelled wonderful and looked very happy and excited to see us. If you are nervous about leaving your fury family member ...don't be... they will be just fine!

I have been using Porter road for over 5 years. The staff is so caring and takes the time to make sure it is a wonderful experience for our dog. Finn loves going there.

My 2yr and 4 yr old Papillons loved the grooming. They were lavished with love, professionally trimmed the Papillon trim. Their fur is bright white and silky smooth. Paws, nails trimmed.... they look wonderful. I usually groom them....I will be going to Porter Rd pet care from now on!! Thankyou!!!!

I moved up here summer 2023 and I used to bring my dog to Pet Hotel down the street but figured to give Wagging Tails a shot (even though it's further down the road from my commute to work). I don't regret my decision. Bowser has been with the pack and goes 2-3 times a week. He gets excited in the morning going there and gets excited coming back home. I appreciate you all over there and so does Bowser! ♡

My dog loves going here!! She goes to daycare and we board her on weekends when we are away. She has made so many friends - doggy and human alike! The facility itself is nice and clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well. They have a nice outdoor area and will take the dogs on "nature walks" on the bike path - for a little extra. The only thing I think could be better is how many extras there are.

Our dogs have gone to Wagging Tails for years but we will never go back. They clearly prioritize profits over the health and safety of the dogs that go there. Both of our dogs got an antibiotic resistant Kennel Cough type disease after their last daycare visit. Wagging Tails is the only place where they could have gotten this. Our vet has told us that this disease is common for dogs that go to Wagging Tails. Wagging Tails also hides any critical comments on their Facebook page; check out their 8/25 post as an example. If you care about your dogs then please avoid Wagging Tails.

I have taken my dog a few times in the past years for grooming. I was very happy with the service at first which was done by people who seemed well trained and very professional. That has not been the case the last few times. The has been a lot of turnover and the staff does not seem as knowledgeable or trained, and a little overwhelmed with all the work. It’s a shame.

We mainly use Wagging Tails for boarding during long trips, once or twice a year. Still, our pup feels right at home. They take great care of her and of us!

Wagging Tails has been amazing for our puppy, Trixie! They treat her super well and she never comes home stressed. We use them for occasional daycare and boarding. Can't recommend them enough!

I can not say enough about how amazing Wagging Tails is!! We were gone for an entire week for thanksgiving, and our families being out of the area, we had to board our pug for the week. I was so worried because he is a love bug who loves laps and attention more than anything, and he is with me 24/7, so I wasn’t sure how he would do. With Wagging Tails updates and daily Facebook posts, I knew exactly how he was doing the whole week, and got to see how he interacted with the other dogs and handlers. I cannot recommend Wagging Tails enough!!

My dog, Naya, has been going to Wagging Tails for years, she was one of their first pups! She loves this place. It’s clean, busy, and she has a blast every time. She needs medication administration twice per day and eats a special refrigerated diet. They have no problem accommodating her needs. The owner and all of the staff are so kind and caring. Great place to leave your furry friend for a day of play or a week of stay! Thanks Wagging Tails!!

We just picked up our dogs from 15 days of boarding, and the seem to have been well taken care of but our experience with the person at the checkout desk was extremely negative. He was not professional or friendly when we entered, and then charged our $1200 dollar total to the wrong card. When we said that was the wrong card he started arguing with us and went into the back where we could still hear him loudly complaining/yelling about us and saying it wasn’t his fault (??). I’ve never experienced something so unprofessional, especially after spending so much money with a business. We likely won’t be back here and will try boarding somewhere else with better customer service. I’ve seen other reviews also commenting the service at the front desk was unsatisfactory, and I would agree.

My current and past dog have done boarding, training and doggy daycare at Wagging Tails. The staff is wonderful, they treat your dog like family and really seem to enjoy their jobs. My dog is always excited to go and comes home exhausted. When we moved to the area we visited, we toured and tried out many doggy daycare, and Wagging Tails is by far our favorite. Some of the others may look nicer or fancier but we found staff did not know the names of the dogs, did not seem to love the dogs like their own and most importantly my dog was not even tired when she came home. Krystal has been taking care of our two cats while we are away for four years and I am beyond impressed. She is so reliable and good with our cats, even when one started having behavioral issues. Now she gives a pill to one each evening! It is such a relief to be able to go away and not worry. Highly recommend!

From the first moment Bella met Krystal it has been love, which was fabulous since she was a nervous rescue and I was not sure how me going back to work was going to go. It is so reassuring to have a trustworthy caring person to take care of Bella. Krystal takes the time to sent updates of the visit and pictures. Krystal has been pet sitting my cats for a few years now and I could not recommend her more. She has developed a bond and trust with them that most people never achieve, especially with my shy boy. She takes the time to play with them and send updates every visit. I would not trust anyone else.

Krystal is the Best, really spends time with our kitties when we are away and clearly loves animals, highly recommended.

I have a somewhat recalcitrant elderly terrier mix who is always wary around new people, especially when I'm not around. But she quickly warmed up to Krystal and has enjoyed playing with her and getting some needed exercise and attention while I'm away. I enjoy peace of mind knowing that I won't have to worry about my dog, and scheduling and paying Krystal is so easy on the app she uses. She also takes amazing photos of her clients' pets (which she shares with us!) and maintains an active social media presence, which is a lot of fun. (Also, once she rescued me when I locked myself out of my house, since she was the only other person with a key!) I'd recommend Krystal to anyone in the area!

We have been extremely happy with our pet sitting service from Krystal. We met Krystal a few years ago and at that time she not only took care of the cats, but also watered my garden. I now live elsewhere and Krystal takes good care of my two cats who demand attention. I spoil them! They love her! My husband and I now travel much more. I just let her know the dates and I don’t worry about them at all. She is very accustomed to their needs and likes. We are extremely lucky to have found her. My girls love ❤️ her and I look forward to my daily pictures. Always brings a smile to my face knowing they are safe and happy!

Krystal is nothing short of amazing with my dogs! They LOVE it when she comes to see them. She is responsable, dependable and a great communicator. She has never cancelled on me and can almost always accommodate my needs even on short notice. You can tell she loves what she does by the detailed report and awesome pictures she sends me after every visit with my 2 dogs. I never have to worry about them when I have Krystal watch them for me. I know they are in great hands! If anyone is looking for a dog walker/sitter, you won't be disappointed if you choose Krystal.

Krystal is great with our cat!! We go on many vacations and she will come by our house twice a day to take care of our buddy. I love the pictures she sends us! I can see how happy our little guy is when she's there! I would recommend her for anybody who has pets that need attention!!

I love that Krystal requires a meet and greet for all of her new clients. She came to the house asked me general questions about my dog, his schedule, the location of his belongings (food, treats, toys, leash), what his personality was like, what makes him uncomfortable, etc. That extra attention to detail really made me feel comfort in how much she cares and how seriously she take her job. After each visit I receive a couple of pictures and an update about how my fur baby is doing that day. I feel Krystal really goes above and beyond for the pets she cares for, I would highly recommend her!

I love this place! The staff are friendly, fun and knowledgeable and clearly love the pets. The place is multi-faceted, clean and welcoming. The rates and options are flexible. I no longer worry at all about my girl while she is there. She tends to be a bit anxious but she runs in that door right over to her best friend Bree (hope the spelling is right) and comes home relaxed and happy.

I have had nothing but good experiences at," The Good Dog Spot" in Northampton, Massachusetts. My young dog, Henry, was initially enrolled in puppy daycare until he graduated into the adult group. He goes there twice a week to interact with other dogs as well as people. As a result, despite the fact that he is only a little over 1 and 1/2 years old at this time, people are amazed at how calm and gentle he is. He does not act like an undisciplined puppy. He acts like a confident, well-mannered, extremely well socialized adult dog. I recently had to go on a trip which lasted a week. I boarded my young dog as well as a 17-year-old senior dog with dementia. I also boarded two 10-year-old cats. The staff was wonderful interacting with all of my animals and emailed me daily reports as to their health from snout to tail! Three of my animals were on daily medications and they administered them without any difficulty. They also reported that medications were given and also how their appetites were. Based on the aforementioned experiences, I would highly recommend," The Good Dog Spot" not only as a place to socialize your dog, but as a wonderful place with highly trained staff if daycare or boarding is needed.

I used to bring my dog here frequently. This summer I left my small miniature dachshund at the Northampton location for the weekend. When I picked her up, she was clearly not taken care of. She was covered in her own urine and feces. Not only that but all her bedding and blankets were given back to me covered in the same urine and feces. When I asked about what happened the staff were incredibly dismissive with one of the men there saying in a very annoyed tone of voice “seems like it’s pretty evident she peed.” I will never leave my furry friend here again. I still never got an explanation other than the manager I talked to after trying to talk in circles around the point.

The Good Dog Spot has been incredible and far surpassed my expectations! Our puppy was enrolled in the Spot's Tots program where they did all sorts of training and exercises with him to help him become a well acclimated young man. He quickly graduated to the program for older dogs, and had a great first day. The prices are reasonable for the level of care that is given. I would happily recommend The Good Dog Spot to anyone!

Boarded my cats here for just over a week and was very happy with the experience! I got daily reports of how they were doing, which helped with any anxiety about leaving them at a new place. The staff is also very responsive and made it easy for me to pay ahead of time and have a friend pick my pets up. My cats came home very happy which tells me they had a good experience at the Good Dog Spot. It feels good to find a place that I can trust with my cats, and I already have plans to board them here again!

I had my dog kiya groomed here and as a first time customer here I had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Kiya had a shed treatment and a full groom and she looks fabulous! She wasn't on edge at all, just a happy puppy when she came out! Thank you guys so much! Will DEFINITELY be back!

Received expensive, mediocre hair cut for my small dog along with a “report card” upon pick up, which told me he earned a B grade. Sooooo… are you hoping I train him up for next time so he can earn an A? Or are you just reporting to me that he was a handful and your groomer wasn’t trained or experienced enough to comfortably handle him?

The Good Dog Spot was recommended to me for boarding for my puppy Wilbur. And they are fantastic. They are thoughtful and thorough when accommodating your dogs needs. When I came to pick him up the next day he was in no rush to leave The Good Dog Spot…so I think it’s safe to say your dog or pup will be in good hands with them. They offer an extensive list of packages and services at great prices. Highly recommend!!

Our dogs love camp wintergreen. They are very well cared for and I feel comfortable leaving them there knowing that the staff are very responsible and loving.

I am here at the Wintergreen kennels to drop off my friend's little dog who needs a bath badly. They always say GREAT care of the dog.

We have been Wintergreen Kennel customers (and fans) for almost 20 years! They came highly recommended and more than lived up to their reputation. The grooming shop staff do a wonderful job grooming our miniature poodles. The shop is very clean; we know they are safe and well-cared for. And when we recently left our cat to be boarded, Jacques and Josie wanted to in to the Kennel entrance to see what was happening with Charlie! Think that speaks to their comfort with the facility and the staff! like the TLC they offer, too! Every experience we've had has been a positive one and that translates into piece of mind! We would not leave them anyplace else.

Me and my boyfriend brought our dog here for about 6 days. After picking him up, he slept a lot that same day. Assuming he had a lot of fun, we brushed it off. My boyfriend ended up finding a large scab on his front paw the next day, which hadn’t been there before the drop off. We can’t tell if he is sick, as he has spent his time since simply sleeping and laying around, despite us having picked him up days later now. We gave a blanket for drop off, yet were told it “had to be thrown out.” Hoping our baby wasn’t harmed due to sleeping conditions. Leaves a worried pet owner to wonder about all aspects… Won’t be coming back here.

My family has always loved wintergreen! This is the best place to get your dogs groomed, they come home smelling great and looking great. The cute little bows are always a nice addition. Sandy is the only groomer we trust!

We left our puppy here for three days while we went away for a vacation. We had figured our puppy (6months old) would have a little vacation as well and start to get used to being in the care of others. While we felt good about our decision to leave her there, we didn’t feel so good about our decision after picking her up. As other reviews have said here, our puppy smelled dirty, like urine. We expected some extra doggy smells, but it was pretty gross. Most importantly, she was not making eye contact with us and was walking with her head down. Once we got home, I went to throw her ball to her in the back yard, to try to help her realize she was home, and she flattened herself on the ground like she was going to be hit! She then proceeded to belly crawl to me and roll over as if she had done something bad. She had never done this before, nor has she done it since. We don’t yell, at or use physical punishment, with our pets. We are thoroughly convinced that our puppy was hit while in the care of Wintergreen Kennels and will NEVER return to, or recommend them to anyone we know. There are many other places that will care for your pet and it is well worth the extra $5 or so extra a day!

Wintergreen has always taken great care of all my dogs over the years. My newest addition (rescue) has a lot of anxiety. We were very worried and they took the extra time and with him to make him comfortable.

Okay, finding a place to board your beloved pets is a big big deal! Finding one that doesn't break the bank at the same time is Golden! We've used Wintergreen over half a dozen times now and the staff there are always friendly, the dogs are happy, and when we pick them up, they don't smell like pee. Just a heads up, call ahead and make sure your dog has had all its required shots -- they require kennel cough vaccination. What I like best is that every day they send an email update on just how much my dogs ate, how much time they played outside, and a picture of my dog playing in the yard having a good time.

The people at Wintergreen are always very accommodating and they take wonderful care of my dog. It can be difficult to find a place where she'll be safe, but the Wintergreen staff delivers extra care and attention which makes it much easier to leave a member of our family behind. We especially enjoy the daily photos!
