Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!

Kira was the best sitter we have ever had! I chose Kira because of her reviews, ability to sit during the dates I needed and willingness to communicate with my daughter/neighbor who co-parents Colby with us. I am always a bit anxious about having someone in my home and trusting them with our fluffy son. Kira put us at ease almost immediately. I received photos and videos everyday throughout the stay. I got updates on Colby’s activity and the fun they were having together. My heart felt full knowing that Colby was being well loved and cared for. Additionally, Kira was so kind to keep us posted on any deliveries that arrived at the house. Finally, when I arrived home, the house was tidy and clean! Again, I am so grateful that Kira was there keeping the house and my cat safe! I hope she will come back and sit again. I know Colby would love to see her again.

We were so pleased to meet John and Trisha! We had them come in a day before we left and enjoyed a nice meal with them and they got to meet Delilah (even if she didn’t seem interested) but she soon warmed up to them - except for the Cat Videos - she wasn’t very interested 🤣 When we returned our home was so clean (probably cleaner than we left it)! We got frequent pics and updates on our Princess! They also left us with a Progress Report with Delilah’s activities and what they did at the house before they left. Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.

Daniel and Vasylyna were incredible house sitters and we would welcome them back to sit for us again any time they are available! They were fantastic communicators, making sure to work out details far in advance and they sent frequent picture updates of our animals which made us so happy while we were away. When the power went out in the neighborhood while they were here leading to a technology issue with our alarm system, they handled everything well. Upon our return, the house was clean, the garden was thriving and well cared for, and our dog and cat were clearly very loved while we were away - in fact our dog was sooooo sad to see them leave! I had the pleasure of getting to know them a bit before I left, and they are such a kind, adventurous, and great couple. I would highly recommend having Daniel and Vasylyna take care of your house, plants, and animals!

Karen was an extraordinary house and pet sitter who I hope to invite back again soon. You would be extremely fortunate to have her take care of your pets and home. From the very beginning she radiated calmness, knowledge, caring and curiosity. We had a great initial conversation where Karen answered questions I didn't even know I should be asking, and asked excellent questions so she could be prepared and understand the special needs for both my cat and home. She flew into my city the day before I was leaving and stayed at a nearby hostel so that we could meet in person and do a walk through of my home. They say pets have an intuitive nature about people, and I knew Karen would be a winner when my normally very shy/nervous cat came right up and let her pet him. Karen sent wonderful pictures and updates while I was gone and asked questions when she wasn't sure about something. When I returned home everything was spotless and my cat was content. Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!

We love Twin Kennels! Pam and Jim are wonderful. I love getting the Facebook updates and photos throughout their stay there. Jim also trained our Papillon Darla. See how attentive they all are. The grounds are very clean and there is plenty of room for the pups to roam and play. I would not trust anyone else with our Darla girl ♥️
Jim and Pam were wonderful! I cannot say enough good things! Their kennel and entire place is absolutely gorgeous. I would like to go for a vacation there for a week! They are warm, friendly and very professional. I was very pleased with how they trained our dog. I am a terrible dog handler and they were very patient with me teaching me how to practice with him once we got home. I’m even considering taking him back for a second week and that is the only place I will board our dogs. I highly recommend them!

Getting there is a bit of a drive that is well worth it!! Twin Lakes Kennel is a top notch boarding facility that caters to dogs like mine who need space and time to run and play. Highly recommended by a friend familiar with my very high energy working dog accustomed to several hours of exercise per day, I felt even more confident in their services from the way they post updates about each dog on social media. Their communication shows an incredible level of individual attention and care. An average kennel wouldn’t work. After multiple trips now, my German Short Haired Pointer is so excited when he sees where we are heading, and he is always in good spirits with high energy and a clean coat when I pick him up. The pricing is really fair. In my opinion, you are getting much more than you would expect, and I will proudly be using Twin Lakes for all future trip planning!
Highly recommend this place if you're in need of dog training. They were able to take our Mini Aussie and got her to socialize with other dogs pretty quickly. They also worked with her on basic obedience and drastically improves her leash behavior. The instruction they gave when we picked her up was incredibly helpful and provided us with what to do to continue working with her at home. You can tell that they love and respect animals, know what they are doing, and are very professional. They stress positive reinforcement and are effective at what they do.
We recently boarded our fur baby with TLK and was so so pleased! The staff are so friendly, answer all your questions, and really love on your pup. The facility was so big and nice. We will definitely be boarding here again!
We loved TLK and so did our dog, Otis! It was a wonderful experience for us from start to finish. His professional training was very apparent at pick up. When we brought him home his energy was much better and he was well mannered. So much better…we put him to the test with our three young grandchildren. He passed that test too! Looking forward to days ahead of a non-people jumping doodle dog!
We had a GREAT experience with Twin Lakes. Before the training session, I bugged Pamela all the time but she never hesitated to answer my questions. The training itself was awesome and Jim did a really good job of transferring the progress that our pup made to our own home. Highly recommend!
Twin Lakes Kennel is amazing! They have helped us cure some issues that made walking our dog difficult such as barking at other dogs, pulling on the leash, and so much more! I am 100 percent over joyed and satisfied with this grooming service. My dogs are 2.5 yrs old have heen outside country living dogs since early spring,and had never seen a groomer. She took care of both of my babies from nose to tail and they look, smell and feel fabulous. As long as she is in business i will NEVER go anywhere else.
Just picked up my fur baby from getting a bath. Not only did he get a bath but she trimmed his nails, expressed his anal glands and cleaned out his ears. Amanda is very nice and Grim seemed to love her. I highly recommend her. Super pleased with the service she provided
Amanda is the best! We have 3 dogs and 1 of them is a brat but we she knows exactly how to make them comfortable. She cut hair on our 2 German Shepherds and a Spitz and throughout the day took her time to make them not so anxious! They felt like silk when we got them. Amanda will ALWAYS be our groomer. I was so impressed with County Cani e Grooming, now called Sassy's Paint Lick Paw Spa! I have 2 German shepherds who have been farm dogs and can get quite filthy but are now indoor dogs. No matter how I attempt to groom my long haired German shepherd, he still has mats and tangles. He gets very dirty and stinky. Amanda did a PHENOMENAL job getting him all trimmed up and dematted and smelling wonderful. She was so great with them. They are 10 years old and needed lots of breaks and special care since they can't stand for too long. Amanda is the BEST!! My husband and I had to leave town on short notice due to a death in my family. She kept my dog, “Buddy”,for over a week on short notice. Now first I must say, a most unusual thing happened before this experience. I was calling all the Kennels in town only to find that the loss of my dear loved one coincided with EKU’s fall break, and every place was full. I left messages with every place in Richmond and surrounding towns, including Lexington. Every place was booked and overbooked. Out of all of the messages I left, and places that said they would “get right back to me and let me know if they could take Buddy or not, either way” I received only 1 call back. And it was from someone that I had not previously spoken with. It was from Amanda with Country Canine, with whom I had left a message on Voicemail. Amanda was so kind, helpful and didn’t seem to be straightaway concerned with the money. ALL of the others that I spoke with ran the gambit on cost up to, and over $1000. Which is a lot of money when you’ve also just paid for your child’s funeral. During the time that we were gone, 10 or 11 days, Amanda offered to FaceTime a visit with us and Buddy at anytime we requested, no matter when it was. She sent us pictures and texts the entire time we were gone. I didn’t worry once about how my Buddy was being treated, for I knew. While my Buddy was well loved, cared for and pampered. She also made me feel very cared for, and I believe that I have gained a friend, as well as a new groomer and pet sitter! She is truly that special, kind and loving. May God bless her for ALL that she does. People like Amanda are rare. And I was so lucky and blessed to have found her. Please take my advice and go with Amanda, every time……🙏🏼
Beta dog grooming spot EVER. Not only do they do an amazing job, the dogs get to interact with other dogs and play. They are very friendly, and keep in contact with you the whole time with updates too! Definitely recommended!
Mary White lied be it only takes 3 hours for Amanda to groom her dogs. She doesn't keep them in cages. Amanda does an amazing job. She treats all the fur babies. that come in her grooming shop like her own Our Bane loves going to the groomer. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our fur baby. One day my son went to pick up our Bane from the groomers he said Amanda was rubbing his belly and giving him dog treats. She spoils all he babies that come in to her grooming shop. I recommend Country Canine to all my family and friends and they all love Amanda and the work that she's does We love Country Canine and Amanda!!
I have used a lot of groomers but country canine did the best job on my D shed for my great Pyrenees. I won't go anywhere else besides country canine again. My great Pyrenees came out looking better than he has ever looked. She took her time and was very patient with him. you can really tell she takes pride in her work and her clients! I have been taking our fur baby to Country Canine for 2 years. I love Amanda and the way she treats her clients as her own. Our Bane has never smelled like cigarette smoke after his spa days. He always has a fresh clean smell. Bane is always so excited when we pull up to the groomers he runs to the door wanting to see Amanda. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our Bane. I recently moved to Harrodsburg and needed and place to board my two small dogs for the weekend to attend a wedding out of state. I found Bed and Biscuits through a web search and chose them as the destination for my kids. I was not disappointed! Janet and Chuck were taken very good care of. SO INSANELY HAPPY! My dog Finn is people and dog aggressive. No one in my entire area would even give him a trial basis and I have been desperate to travel again for years and felt it was just hopeless! My daughter that lives in Colorado actually found this place and it’s an hour from where I live ! Chelsea welcomed this emotional woman and made me feel so at ease and treated my dog like he was her own! I adore her! Come to find out Finn is only the way he is in my home! I left him for 5 days and it went amazing! All the other girls there are SO sweet and loving and kind! AND they answered the phone every time this worried mom called to check in or ask a million questions! I LOVE this place! They even let me bring all his favorite things and gave him one on one playtime! Truly has been a blessing! Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart! He slept like a baby once we got home! I'm so grateful to have a safe, positive and affordable place to take my pet while traveling! These ladies know their stuff and want to make sure your pet has a positive experience! Our 4 year old White German Shepherd loves the retreat. The staff are always helpful, kind and enjoy what they are doing. They always call Piper by name as soon as we walk in. Highly recommend this place.
Our two dogs have stayed here twice now, and they love it! They are always exhausted when they come home and the staff is always great about showing us videos of them playing and running around with other dogs. I feel very confident leaving my high energy fur babies here.

I brought my Doberman to Bed & Biscuit for the first time last week and she stayed for 9 days while I went overseas. This was the longest we had ever been apart and I was very nervous. However, the staff at Bed & Biscuit were amazing! Any time I was missing my dog (which was A LOT!) all I had to do was text them and they would send me photos and videos of her having a great time playing with the other dogs. I am so thankful for what they do, and this will now be the place that I take my girl when I travel.

Our dogs love going to Bed & Biscuits Pet Retreat! They are well taken care of while they are there. I can't think of anyplace I would rather have my pets than Bed & Biscuits. We always take them there.

I brought my dog Sally (8ish weeks old) here for daycare and training and it was fantastic. Sally hated being in her crate before the week started now hardly ever makes a peep and goes in there on her own. Kristen was also extremely flexible and allowed me to drop off Sally early so I could still get to work. I will be returning for advanced training in the future.
Kristen might be a miracle worker. I did a 5 day puppy board and train program with her for my 9 week old puppy and in just those 5 days, she taught my girl sit, stand, down, leave it, place, and how to relax quietly in her crate while I'm doing something or at night when we all go to sleep. She was incredibly kind and responsive and treated my girl like her own. I sent her a puppy that didn't listen and liked to bite and whine in her crate all night and I got back a trained puppy! When I picked her up, Kristen gave me a packet as well with all the things I need to follow up with the training so she stays good. I couldn't recommend this program more and I'm already figuring out when to do lessons with my other dog.
I sent a stubborn 16 month old Husky that would not obey at all and got back a "new" one that actually listens. Before I could not walk her myself because she would drag me and I don't walk well anyway. Now she stays beside me and does exactly what I say. Kristen was great with her and with us. She gave continuous updates and showed us how to continue with the training. Thank you for helping me be able to keep my fur baby.
K9 Connection Academy is very knowledgeable in training pups and dogs of any age. She helped me with my German Shepherd from the day I got her. We used Mary to dog/house sit while we were on vacation and couldn’t be more pleased! She texted daily updates and pictures so we could rest easy that our 2 dogs were well taken care of. She even noticed a droopy plant that I forgot to water and sent a text asking if she should water it for me! Will definitely be using her services again in the future!
