This was the first time...I really loved this place. Great up-front communication..daily updates with photos. If I asked a question quick response. Great features...they also offer baths...nature walks...play ...My dog is deaf so I opted for her to be in the yard alone. Bring your own food and toys or they have food. My dog was very happy and not stressed at all. Thank you to a great staff.

We have an anxious, skittish dog, who is also older and needs extra TLC. We have been taking her to Harvest Moon for over 2 years. When she walks away from us, with the staff, when we drop her off, she is happy to go! That speaks so much. That she is comfortable there. It's hard to leave her, but we couldn't feel any better than to see her happy, and to get daily updates on her while we are gone. And she looks great when we pick her up. No signs of stress, just a happy older pup!

This was the first time boarding our dogs in 5 years due to a horrible experience. Beth and the team made me feel comfortable before we even left. The text updates were great and to see the smiles on our pups faces made us feel at ease! The next trip away, our pups will be back to visit! Such a great place to leave your pup. The employees are always so happy to spend time and care for your dog. They keep you informed with daily pictures of your pup. The kennels are cleaned and well taken care of. They take care of small and large size dogs. I have been very pleased and confident that Harvest moon is a safe place for my dog. Looking forward to having them help me more in the future!

I found Harvest Moon through Google & I AM SO HAPPY that I did!! The ladies who work there are so gentle and super loving. The whole booking process is simple, they offer nature walks and nail trimmings. They sent us photo updates throughout her visit (which helped SO much, as this was our first puppy & never had to leave her!) All around a very pleasant experience. We were so pleased to find Golden Wood Boarding for our 3 furbabies. The staff is very sweet & the business is extremely professional. The kennel floors are heated, and kept very clean. Video surveillance is a must, and there's constant monitoring to ensure the animals safety. Calls are answered in a timely manner, and that is EXTREMELY important to me. Each kennel has a photo of the dog, along with their daily feeding & potty info. We got a photo of their smiling faces, and even a report card to show how their day went. The extra services (there is a reasonable cost for those) help them to relax, and truly enjoy their stay. Honestly, I was very nervous about their first visit, but the communication was on point & VERY much appreciated! This will definitely be one of their 'vacation spots' while we enjoy our time away. Thanks for caring about our 'kids' as we do!!!

The dogs were well taken care let me say that first! BUT the price we paid was CRAZY compared to when it was Widows Mite. Again not complaining about the care, we just can’t personally afford them. It’s truly a shame. We go to Harvest Moon for most of our boarding but they were booked for this weekend so we gave them a shot. Thanks for taking care of our pups but you gotta come down on the cost. AND TRUST ME I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR MY DOGS. ❤️

We've boarded our dog Levi here in the past when they were still known as Widow's Mite Kennels. Golden Wood, Lappans Rd is a VERY nice kennel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and kind to your animals. They even give you extras so your dog can have a good vacation too. You do have to pay for the extras, but, it's reasonably priced. You do however have to pay them to give your dog medicine if needed, but, it's all reasonably priced too. And, you pay when you pick up your dog(s). They took such good care of our dog Levi, even giving us 2 pictures of him. They are a chain of kennels, so, their prices to board are a little higher than when it was Widow's Mite Kennels. I'd board our dog there again. It's nice there and the dogs have plenty of room to run. 10/10 recommend.

friendly service. we have a VERY friendly rottweiler who is 6, and when we request for them to give him a bath, they never do, and say something like 'oh, he tried to bite us' or 'we didn't have enough people'. and when we picked him up recently, he smelled so bad, as if he was rolling around in poop and mud.

Very friendly staff, able to see kennel facilities. Pricing was a bit confusing but I could’ve asked more questions-email breakdown would be helpful. With that pricing seems reasonable. Would take pets there again.

Wonderful place. A good location that allows for "nature walks" for your dog. Friendly, caring staff. We received text photos of our dogs every day, which made us very happy to see them during their stay. Our dogs were in good hands, and we plan on using them again.

Excellent kennel!! We have been going there with all our dogs over the years. Whether our dog requires special medication or food or special handling, we can always rely on the staff there to give them personal attention. It's so nice to know our dog is in good hands and well taken care of.

Our dogs always go to Pets Vacationland. We appreciate the owner and her attentiveness to our pets, and the prices for grooming services and boarding are great. After boarding with them for more than a year now, I can give a solid recommendation. I think you will be happy with the service.

We took our beloved lab there and it was a HORRIBLE experience. When we came tp pick her up, the desk person didn't know which dog was ours and when we asked if she'd gotten the daily walks (which we had requested and paid for), the staff member shrugged and said "I don't know." We found her stinking of urine and her bed was soaked, too. This was a dog that never had accidents. I was furious and felt horrible for our dog. If I could give nehative 5 stars, i would!.

This place is dirty. Smells of urine and had puddles of urine just outside the dog kennels. No drainage whatsoever when they just spray down the kennel. When I picked my dog up he was coughing and wheezing terribly (he spend 6 days there). I brought him to the vet today and he has kennel cough (and yes he has his vaccination). Unbelieveable! This place has great marketing but poor execution! Never take your dog here if you care about their health! There is a reason they have a lot of room when other kennels are booked solid. Disgusting!

I have used many other kennels from California to Maryland. Pet Vactionland is miles above the rest!! I had to board my dog for almost two months at P.V. while I was looking for a place to rent that accepted dogs. I am so glad I found P.V. They made me a client for life!! The place is always clean and the staff is super accommodating and dedicated!! The owners Karen and Scott are wonderful and absolutely care about animals!! The rates are super reasonable and I will never take any of my pets any where else!!!👍👍👍👍

We were nervous because our 10 yr old cat Bruce had never been to a kennel but they put us at ease with how caring they were about his needs and our concerns and even went out of way to accomadate our drop off and pick up time! Would gladly recommend to anyone!

I'm really not sure I've got my dog scheduled to stay there in about a week. But from my tour it seems like a nice place for her to stay. The staff there are very personable and care alot about the animals in their care. We will see.

Suzi is the best. Our three goldens adore her and she is so good with them and all their crazy. She gives some of the best (and funniest) daily updates and picks up on anything out of the norm. Our fur babies are our babies and I wouldn’t trust them with anyone else.

Suzi is fantastic. She is patient and kind. She won over my oldest cat which was no small feat! She's extremely dependable - especially important as I have a senior dog. I can leave the country for extended periods and never need to worry when Suzi is caring for my fur babies!

Suzi is BEST! She has been caring for my cat Drake for over a year when I need to be away. For health reasons he has to be an only cat so I worry about him being lonely. Drake considers Suzi his girlfriend. She loves him like her own pets. They chat, watch tv, and she gives him lots of fishy treats and love. As a matter of fact she is checking in on him tonight! I never worry when I travel. I recommend her highly for the professionalism she brings to her business. I have a happy😺Cat.

Suzi is just the best! We have a rescue doggie who has had unknown traumatic experiences. She’s a very skittish and fearful dog. Suzi made friends with Dolly and gained her trust before ever taking care of her for us. Suzi’s main priority is the pet’s comfort. She came to our home for an introductory visit and walks. When a long time had passed between us needing her, she came back to get reacquainted before we left town for an overnight. Dolly trusted Suzi and they had a great time together. I received several text updates and photos. We just found out that our dog has an illness that is going to require months long treatment. I’m so grateful that we know Suzi and feel completely comfortable trusting her to follow the medication and activity schedules required. You cannot do better than Harpers Ferry Tails!

Suzi is wonderful with pets, and Is a real pro with running her pet sitting service. She was referred by several neighbors on my street who have her watch their dogs. She cared for my 3 cats while I was on vacation and they were happy and chilled out when I came home. She even connected and cuddled the cat I said would probably hide from her all week - very impressed with her ability to sweet talk them!! She came over to meet the kitties ahead of time and learn about their routine and personalities, along with how I'd like to communicate with her. She was happy to send daily updates and pix or not, depending on what I preferred. She set specific visit times and honored those. My next door neighbor told me Suzi did a great job while I was away and said 'she's the best petsitter I've seen' which is high praise from a longtime local! I think Suzi has that special energy that some people just have around animals, and it makes you know your fluffy family members are in loving hands when you're away from them. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up and 6 paws up for Suzi!!

Suzi is an amazing furry babysitter. She loves animals like children and she will love yours and treat them like her own. Reliable, caring and trustworthy. We love to have our babies stay with a buddy instead of a kennel. With Suzi in home stays or sitting with your pets they won't miss you near as much when you are away. She will gladly check in on your babies during the day for potty break or just alittle romp around the neighborhood.

Suzi at Harpers Ferry Tales is the best pet sitter in West Virginia she took care of my dogs while I went to Florida for a week and I had no worries once so ever I was able to call he, she sent me pictures of her having fun with my dogs which I really appreciated. She talks to them in there language she stays over the night and when I got home it wasn't even like they even missed me they wanted to see her so if you ever looking for a dog sitter or cat sitter or animal sitter Suzi is the best.

John did a wonderful job caring for my 7 cats. He kept in touch with me everyday and sent me pictures! I can see how much he loves and cares for animals!

We just returned from a five night vacation in FL. Mr. John of Mid-Maryland Pet Sitting was super with our six kitties. He was so flexible and accommodating when we had to adjust dates a few days before the trip given an error on my part in scheduling. Mr. John took care of feeding, treats, litter, and all kitty meds. He spent quality time with our kitties twice a day for six days. A Cat Dad himself, Mr. John knows how much we miss the kitties when we travel. He even takes time to take pictures of the kitties and sent us pics daily. That made our days even happier. Service was outstanding and our kitties were so content and peaceful when we arrived home. In addition, Mr. John ensured our mail and packages were brought in, trash/recycle went out, receptacles brought in, and the kitchen was so clean when we arrived home!!! John was wonderful in taking care of my chickens and goats for a week! He sent me updates and pictures every day. Everyone was in perfect shape and well loved while I was awhile! Very grateful that I have found him!

Mid-Maryland Pet Sitting is great! We left our cat Henry in John’s capable hands while we went to our daughter’s destination wedding. We had so much to think about, but worrying about Henry wasn’t one of them! He visited twice a day like clockwork, took care of various chores, checked our house, and most importantly, played with Henry and gave him love and attention! He even sent us photos of Henry which were so fun to receive. It was smooth and easy and we were able to relax knowing Henry was in good hands. John is very warm, caring and we’re so happy to have found him!

John takes care of our fur babies as if they're his own! He make sure to give them play sessions so they stay out of trouble while we're gone and sends lots of photos and communication so we always know how they're doing. He also takes care of things around the house, such as taking out the trash and watering plants, so we always have the comfort of knowing everything's okay at home. We love John from Mid-Maryland Pet Sitting! My family recently moved from Frederick, but when we lived in Frederick John was our go-to for cat sitting! He treated our cat like his own, sent us updates with photos, and cared for her so much! He also watched my younger cat (who can be a handful) and handled her great as well. Would definitely recommend!

HIGHLY recommend! John took amazing care of our two cats when we went on vacation. He took time to play with them and give them attention every day, and I loved seeing the photo updates while away. John has provided the the best care for our herd of kitties and a turtle thrown in the mix! He goes above and beyond in the time he is in our home. He not only deals well with our quirky feeding regimen, but applies meds for a couple tough cats like the pro he is. He sends daily cuddle pics and reports that make us feel at ease being away from home. He definitely leaves my house cleaner than when I departed! Our kitty family just loves their “spa days” with John and we appreciate him taking our pet worries away when we travel!!!

We love John and trust no one else with our pets! He has had no problem taking care of my sick and diabetic cat, who needed two insulin shots a day. I could find no other service in the Middletown area to do this. John is great with any animal, we also have a chinchilla and two rabbits. He regularly updates us with photos and has also given advice and tried to find a food my sick cat would like to eat. He has a love for animals and is very reliable and professional. We highly recommend him!

The Pet Companion is the only place I will ever take our dog. They’re great with him. They take time with each and every animal. When he had a partial cruciate tear in his back leg, they took him for walks instead of playing ball since he couldn’t run and jump. They take wonderful care of him while we’re away. And we really appreciate all they do for him.

The dogs went willingly with her when we dropped off and seemed super happy when we picked up. We were super nervous being our lab had a bad experience at a previous stay somewhere else. I booked our next trip for their stay with Lisa before we left.

Just stop looking and choose the Pet Companion. Lisa is by far the best pet sitting service I have ever used. One of my dogs works as a therapy dog, so I only want the absolute best for him to keep him in tip top shape for work. The first time I visited, Lisa answered all my questions and took me back into the kennels so I could feel comfortable with the lodging. She was also very thorough in making sure they had no communicable diseases, which I appreciated. I initially started using the Pet Companion only on small overnight visits, but I soon realized that my dogs were in the absolute best of hands and I have no reason for concern. I just came back from a 8 day trip out of the country and it was so lovely to know that my dogs were being pampered on their own personal vacation as well. She gives me such peace knowing she is caring for them.

I highly recommend The Pet Companion if you need to board your pup. The facility is clean and well run. The owner is fabulous! My dog recently stayed and I will definitely use this facility the next time I go out of town.

I have a 2 year old border collie and a 13 year old Chihuahua mix who love coming here! Both of my dogs have had really bad experiences at traditional daycare/boarding places where their needs we're not being met (unsupervised group play where other dogs started fights and mine were blamed, small kennels with only short 10 min walks, minimal one on one interaction) . My older dog gets very anxious when being boarded and I love that i am able to have the two of them in the same kennel so she doesn't feel so alone. The property is huge so the dogs have plenty of room to burn energy and wander around to sniff. I love that the dogs have their indoor space that is temperature controlled, but then an outdoor run so they can hang out outside if they wanted to. Whenever we drop them off they both go straight back without looking twice. I feel like her prices are fair and (unlike a lot of boarding centers) you actually get what you pay for in the quality of care Lisa provides. We make about a 45 minute drive out, but it's worth it having the peace of mind that Lisa takes such good care of them when we travel and they have a great time. I can't reccomend the pet companion enough!!!!

We have been taking our two dogs to Pet Companion for years. Lisa takes good care of them. She is very caring and attentive to our dogs. They really like going to visit her and get excited every time we drive up. She has a nice large fenced exercise area and clean modern kennel units which have separate inside and outside areas. They get a lot of exercise and it’s an stress-free place for them. I recommend Pet Companion for a nice safe local place for dogs.

Sharon is wonderful. I have a 100lb rescue who was abused before coming to our home. Sharon has taken special care to help our Trooper adapt to her being around and walking him. He is super excited when she comes and it's clear he has learned to trust her. I love that she has been so patient and reassuring with him. Her handling is certainly part of his growth. We are so glad to have found her.

Sharon does a wonderful job with our sometimes stubborn walker! She ensures he gets the much needed attention and outdoor time on days we are away at work. She does a good job working with his capabilities and attitude on a given day which might be more ball time in the backyard versus a long walk. She is also very attentive to our dog's needs and makes sure to refill his water. Sharon has been great at accommodating our irregular schedules, and is a great communicator. We always receive a confirmation so we know we are on the schedule and receive cute photos and updates from each visit. We highly recommend Sharon to anyone in the area!

Sharon, Mitch and their family did a wonderful job taking care of our dog, 2 cats, 10 chickens and watering the garden while on our family vacation. During the hottest time of the year she kept everyone cool. Even tho we were in another country our ongoing communication for any animal needs showed her attention to detail and gave us peace of mind. We hired Sharon to take care of our cats when were out of state for the weekend, and she did a great job! Took my elderly mother to California for about a week and had them watch her cocker spaniel. They were so sweet to send pictures and videos of him so I could show my mom that her fur baby was doing good. Have been bring our dogs here for a few years and my parents have been boarding their animals here for probably 10 years. The owners are always nice and the kennels are well kept!

We have used tender loving pet care for a while now. Our boxer is getting up there in age, but she loves coming here and is always taken care of. The owners are very accommodating whenever possible if we have a change of plans and need to change schedule. I would recommend this place to anyone!
