Mary has been there for us in the drop off a hat. My husband requires treatment in SF and we literally have given Mary just hours notice that we need her and she never hesitates to be there. It's nice not to have to worry about my fur babies with her. They're in excellent hands. And she sends me pics of them which cheers me up. She also goes above and beyond with specific things needing to be done at the house (specific lights on, checking mail, garbage can day, etc.) I highly recommend her services, she's been incredible.

Mary watched our 7 cats while we were on vacation, and she did an amazing job! I got pictures of all kitties each day so I could see that they were ok. I could tell that she was nice to them because in the pictures, they really liked her. They enjoyed her company very much. She also made a photo collage of each kitty for me as a nice gift. It gave us a piece of mind to enjoy our vacation. I would highly recommend and will definitely use her services again in the future!

The dog always went away with us but kitty stayed home and Mary visited daily, keeping Kitty fed and watered and loved! Sometimes we even got videos of Kitty’s play time. We had Mary watch our cats and fish while we were gone on vacation. We are so thankful that we did. One of cat's became ill and Mary took her to vet for us, dealt with long phone calls and wait time. She kept us up to date on her condition through text messages and videos. She basically saved our cat's life and we owe her a debt of gratitude. She took special care of our ill cat and the others... Finding someone you trust to take care of a pet while you’re gone tends be stressful and difficult. I have a rescue cat who is a shy and nervous little guy. Because of his disposition, I didn’t want to board him and instead wanted to keep him home in a place he was comfortable and familiar with. Between his and my separation anxiety, I was really anxious about finding someone who would take care of him while my husband and I went on vacation. I am so beyond thankful I found Mary. Her initial house visit immediately put me at ease. We sat down and discussed everything, from the scheduled visits right down to every little detail. Her attention to detail and thoroughness of everything is really amazing. I wanted someone who would spend time with my cat instead of just “come to feed then leave,” so the fact there were options for the amount of time spend per visit was so appreciated. She also offered to take care of additional small tasks around the house while we were out, like watering plants and take out the trash, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. I knew she was a perfect fit when she got a few pets in from my cat — without a single treat !! I knew he was in the best possible hands. Mary was so wonderful while we were gone. She sent pictures and video updates with each visit so I could see how he was doing (the photo uploaded is one she sent me). She was communicative, responsive, and professional, and I am thrilled to have a go-to sitter whom I truly trust. I cannot recommend Mary or her business highly enough. Thank you Mary !!

We highly recommend Mary’s Pet Project! Mary came in twice a day for visits with our kitty, Lucy while we were away on our first get away since COVID hit. This was also the first vacation in many years that we were able to really relax because we knew that Lucy was being taken care of so well. Mary sent photos & videos & that was so much appreciated. We love that she tailored her services to our special needs. She was so great with Lucy. It was the first time that Lucy was so calm when we arrived home. Our cat is very affectionate and likes attention and being around people at all times. She does not like being left alone. After moving to California 4 years ago, we were searching for a pet sitter. The Humane Society of Stanislaus County recommended Mary's Pet Project after hearing good things about her. She deals with all sorts of animals. My wife and I travel often, sometimes overseas, and need reliable visits to our cat. I was impressed that Mary maintains detailed files about every pet, including Vet and medication info if required. Mary texts updates, including videos of a kitty who is happy at receiving regular visits. She deals with all pet related cleaning, grabs the mail, and takes care of lights and other household adjustments. I would highly recommend her services.

I had a great experience with them. When I called on Sun to get an appointment for my puppy for a grooming appointment, they were able to get me in within a few days. The process was easy from start to finish. I explained to them that it was his first time getting groomed and they took great care of Barry. Wonderful experience boarding our cat Casper at Allen’s Pet Resort. The facilities are clean and smell very clean. The staff very friendly and accommodating. They knew the pets by name and had a personal knowledge of each one. Our Casper was board for 6 days and when we called to check on him, each time they made an effort to give us an accurate update on how our fur baby was doing. We also appreciated the reasonable priced rates.

Awesome place, this was my first experience in leaving our two year old husky. My daughter was having a heart procedure in San Francisco and I had no options for caring for the dog six days. I was stressing over both the dog and my daughter. All went well. Allen's pet resort was a great choice. Accommodating and friendly staff. Very affordable and stress free environment for the dog. Additionally, they offer grooming and bathing services. They exercise your pet and give it attention. I recommend this facility to anyone and I will be using Allen's again for future follow-up appointments without worry. Thank you Allen's.

I have been taking my 8 year old Female jack Russell here for over 10 years when i have to travel, as long as your pet have their necessary vaccines your good to to go, the place is clean and very well run, my dog looks forward going there!!

So grateful to have found Pet Hotel for my high energy girl. They gave her multiple playtimes, treats and bathroom breaks a day. She had her blanket and her bone and looks content in the pictures they took. 100% recommend!

I 100% recommend this place for dog daycare. I came here today to test out the facility with my husky. I was looking to get some long-term daycare for a month while I am in town. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, informative, and willing to work with me. When I came back, my dog was just as happy and bouncy as ever. Play area, walks, some time with other friendly dogs, treats. What's not to like? They were happy to have her and now I feel quite comfortable if I have to leave her here for a while. I will certainly be back. Once again, this place is highly recommended. If you need somewhere safe, comfortable, and affordable for your dog to stay, this is the place.

Always professional and take terrific care of our animals when we board them here. It's rare to find a dog boarder where your dog(s) actually get EXCITED when you arrive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place that will treat your furry family members with the upmost care.

Everyone was nice and kind I just dont like that my cats 1st time staying ANYWHERE was here so he was scared and not use to being somewhere else with all the different smells so now he's banned from ever coming here. It's sad. I feel he was discriminated bcuz he wasn't the "perfect" cat and had a hard time for his 1st outing and stay. He's not a bad cat it just takes him some time like some animals and even HUMANS. If they were to give him more time and a chance to get use to this place this would be a perfect place but I can't recommend a place that don't give animals time and a chance 😥 But they did take amazing care of our cat. I don't I guess my values is I love all animals the good AND bad. I guess I just see the good in everything and everyone. Hope they make changes though.

The people here were generous enough to allow me to use their port o potty in a moment of need. I was there out of town for work in the middle of nothing but farmland. No public restrooms for miles. They didnt hesitate when i asked to use their mobile bathroom. Thank you!

A Local Gem! Sunset Kennels has taken loving care of our dogs, from puppies to seniors, for several years. We’re delighted to be able to go on vacation knowing that our dog is having a great time too at his “second home”. We’re pleased with their prices and like that playtime is included in the cost because it is a must for our active dog. Our dog can’t wait to get out of the car when we pull up to the kennel, and that’s the best review we can think of. Everyone at the kennel has shown a genuine love for animals, individualized attention for our dog, and excellent customer service, all delivered in beautiful, sparkling clean and expansive facilities. The owners say they’re doing what they love. We say - - it shows! Highly recommended.

I’ve been utilizing the services of Sunset Kennels for over 5 years. It’s my only go to place for my dog and cats. The facility is owned and run by the most compassionate and knowledgeable people in the business. With veternarian office employment beginnings and first hand knowledge of the ins and outs of raising and caring for all breeds of dogs and cats, I have never walked away from dropping off my “kids” and feeling that they were not going to get the very best of care from all who work there. I really shouldn’t post this because I know every time I recommend Sunset Kennels I think that it will get to the day that they might not have enough space to accommodate my needs. But if that were the case, it would just make me happy to know that their success just continues to show their excellent care and compassion that they have for whomever they are accommodating. Highly recommend Sunset Kennels. My senior cat has a chronic med condition and was just diagnosed with a secondary issue, starting a new med. They did the necessary med treatment and got him to take the pill (something I struggled with), his room was spacious and quiet, and they returned him to me after six days calm, happy, and all brushed and fluffed. Couldn't be more pleased.

Beautiful grounds with everything for your furry friends and impeccably clean and well maintained facilities. We've only been here for Specialty Dog shows, but it's like an oasis in the middle of valley. Future plans are to include Lure coursing and more. If ever I own and operate a dog facility, this is what it would look like : )

Just recently did a artificial turf install for their dog launch competition pool & while there it occurred to me how each staff member was EXTREMELY courteous & professional, the landscaping immaculate, the facility VERY clean, makes me want to take my dog here right away! & To top it off the owners themselves are very down to earth & know their BUSINESS well. It's a hidden gem in our county.

Always friendly, and my dog loves it there. I boarded my parents' dog the last tike we were there, and they got to be in the same kennel (and I got a discount). My dog always comes out happy when I pick her up, and I know she's treated well. I always have her bathed, which to be honest is kind of pricey, but they do a good job and to me, it's worth it.

Michelle did an amazing job grooming our dogs! Everyone there was super friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. I will definitely take my fur kids there again for grooming!

Reached out regarding boarding based on a couple great recommendations. I never board my dog but we’re going out of town with our newborn and it just seems easier than taking her on a very long car ride this time. I chose to reach out because of the good things I heard and I would feel better boarding my dog here. I was taken back when I was told I needed to bring my Staffordshire terrier to walk the kennels and do a meet and greet before she was approved to stay at the facility. My dog is reactive like many other breeds when she’s barked at, especially if it’s with someone she doesn’t know. She is not aggressive not one bit but because of her breed she was automatically discriminated against and that did not leave a good taste in my mouth. God forbid we went along with this crazy request and she was reactive and denied to stay there. I would have felt better if they told me it was for every breed but it’s not… very dissatisfied with this business and we didn’t even work together! I have reached out to multiple boarding facilities and no one else made this insane request. Photos of my dog. Does she look aggressive?

Their communication is HORRIBLE. God like complex from some who manage. The groomers are AWESOME and my two dogs will miss them greatly. However I refuse to let management insinuate we are not good dog owners due to an out of date "recommended" vaccination. I understand it is a private facility and they get to make their own rules, but I refuse to pay above average prices to be treated like $hit.

We had an amazing training experience with Kelly and our two Border Collies at Canine Culture. The male pups are under a year old and a litter pair which equates to a training challenge at a minimum. Kelly's approach utilizes the dogs personality and character to maximize the effectiveness of the training, individually and in our case together. She was easy to work with and transferred the training benchmarks effectively and with ease. The overall results are extremely impressive, especially with such a high energy breed. I can't recommend Kelly and Canine Culture enough. We received top tier service and are extremely satisfied with our pups behavior.

Thank you for your response, however, I spoke with management at length on this matter the first time you groomed my dogs incorrectly and poorly after purchasing the business from Jack. I was refunded and promised my complaints were taken seriously. With this reassurance from you I returned for a second grooming appointment and once again you groomed my dogs incorrectly. One time I can forgive as I did, the second time was not acceptable. Since we’ve already discussed these matters on more than 1 occasion I don’t feel further discussion is needed. You know who I am and recognize my dogs photos. I trust your response is nothing more than damage control which I get, but my trust I had in you was broken and I can not and will not endorse your business or change my review. 2/16/24: updated review. Since Jack sold the Canine Culture it has gone downhill rapidly. I took my dogs to them twice, both times they were groomed incorrectly. Unfortunately a business I’ve depended on for many years is no longer available and I won’t be returning. Luckily I’ve found a new groomer Happy Pawz and they are amazing. Original Review: This is the only place I trust with my dogs grooming needs. Jack is so helpful and attentive to our needs, accommodates our appointment time requests. Always returns calls promptly. They are the best. I have 5 dogs they have groomed and still groom. Highly highly recommend, I'd give more stars if I could. Fast forward to 2022, still going there, still loving the service and groomers!

DON’T BRING YOUR DOG TO THESE PEOPLE!!! Never mind the 7 hours they want your dog to be there…for a hair cut…something happened to our little guy cause he is not the same. He’s completely different. No energy no personality for the two days after so far. Pictures of before and after…you be the judge.

This was my pup's first time bring boarded. He is a 10 month old border collie/lab mix. Heather was so nice and helpful. She made my first time as an anxious dog mom go smoothly. They even called me to let me know about an irregular bowel movement he had. He had so much fun while running around in their huge yard. I definitely will take him back and recommend this to anybody. Every single person here is absolutely fantastic, and they go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of both you and your fur babies.. we have been here for both grooming and boarding as well as daytime trips and I have been pleased every single time. The facility is clean, the staff are attentive and knowledgeable and really love what they do. One of my pups has separation anxiety and I was really worried about there being issues while they were at the boarding facility but not only were there no problems at all but they kept in contact with me the whole time and made sure that I was at ease. We will be booking a training session soon to work with Gary so that I can train myself to better handle our babies. Much love canine culture, you rock🐾💕
