Home Away from Home is a great place for the pups to play, meet friends, and get out from under their person's feet for a while in daycare, or to stay while their family is away! I have worked at home away from home for nearly 2 years, and I can say it really is everything it's advertised to be.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Our girl is so excited each time we drop her off. Janet is very responsive and everyone who works there is caring and friendly. It feels great knowing our girl is in such good hands!

I really enjoy the staff here at this home way for Home doggy daycare center… Every time I leave my dog here I know it’s been well loved and taken care of and makes new friends

My dogs are so loved here and I never have to worry! The photos and videos keep me updated and we adore this place for our girls so much. Janet is quick to respond and it’s so easy.

Dogs love it and caretakers seem very into making sure the dogs enjoy their stay. Owner makes sure we are updated on dogs.

My wife and I have a rescue dog from RSPCA who is nervous and anxious but when Tiki comes back to stay everytime she can't wait to get inside the gate and practically drags us from the car! She loves all the care and attention that she receives when staying here so much she actually forgets were even leaving here. We highly recommend if you need to leave your furry loved one with someone it should be at Home Away From Home!

my husband has never insisted upon a groomer til he met this grooming place. They did so good when clipping and filing his nails. my husband said make sure it's at yappys. I heard he didn't behave that great today and had to take a break but he said they were so patient with him. Thanks you guys. I know this job is very demanding takes lots of patients and you must want to be doing this. This takes lots of stress off owners how love there dogs so much and they don't wanna worry if someone's going to be angry or irritated with there fur baby's. I would recommend to anyone

Took my little dog here and noticed he was crying and itching and licking his self a lot. Took him to the emergency vet. The vet said he had burns all in-between his legs and back and stated the groomer let the clippers get to hot and he was burned

My wife dropped our dog off for grooming. It was discussed and agreed to take one inch off. To our surprise when we picked him up, he was completely shaved to the skin in his ears and looked horrible. Who does this to an animal?? I demanded my money back and asked them why they did this as my dog had no mats, I just bathed him last week and travel alot and have a reputable dog sitter. Please do not take your dog here, they are not groomers, they are shavers. I will never ever go back here again and I will tell everyone I know to not go here. I took my dog back there and asked them why they did this when specifically we discussed one inch and why they did not call us? No response, they have no customer service skills. And, by the way they Gladly refunded my $50, which is higher than most places, why did they do that? They knew what they did without communicating was wrong. Please all, do yourself a favor and do not take your pet here, they were very cruel to my dog, shaving all his hair off, lazy groomers, if they had an issue, which there were none, why not call the customer???? Look at the pictures folks, you tell me?? The way my Jack looked, my dog, my friend and the way I got him back when we said groom him one inch! No call, just shaved, Horrible!!

We have been taking our girls ( 1 of 2 being a senior) here for over a year. Been very happy with service they have done, grooming, nails, baths. They both get excited knowing they are going there. Very nice with us, work with us on setting up future appointments. They were recommended by a co worker of ours. I would highly recommend to anyone reading this!! Yappy Campers did a wonderful job grooming our terrier mix. She was bathed and had her nails trimmed as well. Our pup gets very anxious when we leave her; the staff made her feel safe and calm. We were extremely pleased with the facility and the welcoming staff. The prices are unbeatable in our area. We highly recommend this place!

I really like this kennel! It's very difficult to leave my pup with anyone but Jason is really caring and thorough about special diets or shot records. The kennel is clean and well maintained. It's the only place I'll board my four-legged furry.

Boarded my cats here. The website is misleading for cat boarding. It says separate facility, which in my mind meant a separate building. The online picture of the cat room is NOT their facility. There are 4 large dog crates in a small storage room right outside of the dog room. Wish I could post a picture on here to show it.

Rainbow Springs Kennel is a fantastic boarding facility. Our dog was well cared for. The kennels are spotless and there is no odor (dog, cat, or chemicals). Jason is very kind, patient (our dog is a bit hyper) and answered all of my questions. Highly recommended

I recently had my first experience boarding my furbaby, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the care and attention provided by Jason at Rainbow Springs. From the moment I dropped off my little Bela, knew she was in good hands. The facility is super clean and there was no "kennel odor" at all. Jason is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly loves animals. He took the time to listen to my concerns and make sure that all of Bela's needs were met. When I picked up Bela, she was happy, healthy, and well-cared for. I would highly recommend Rainbow Springs to anyone in need of a safe, clean, and comfortable place for their furbaby. Breathtaking views surrounding the property, very clean facility and excellent quality care was provided for our dog while we were away. Jason was friendly and communicated with us throughout the whole process. Our dog got a bath there and came home happy, fresh and clean. Highly recommend!

Jason is great! I have taken my dog here many times now when I go out of town. She always goes right up to him and barely gives me a second glance when I’m leaving. It’s this reason alone that I fully trust leaving my dog here. Highly recommend!

5 stars all around! First off, I was very impressed with how clean the kennels were. Prior to leaving my pup, I visited Rainbow Springs. The area where the dogs stayed didn’t smell one tiny bit! Jason is extremely helpful with all questions I had and my dogs needs. Colt doesn’t get along with all other dogs so I was very happy this facility didn’t let the dogs just mingle together. I was in Europe and emailed once just to check in. Jason was prompt with his response and very reassuring that Colt was doing fine! This is the first time I have boarded Colt and will easily send him back, he was well taken care of and I couldn’t be happier!

Rainbow Springs had last minute availability for Memorial Day Weekend (I called several places) AND online booking. Prices were a bargain as well. Kennels were clean and safe. Pup came back happy! We will board here again.

This is a fantastic place to take your dog for boarding. Arguably the best place in Augusta County. The prices are reasonable, the owner is very nice and obviously cares about the animals he boards. The location is absolutely beautiful and made me feel like my dog also got a dogs version of a vacation while we were at the beach. The online bookings are easy and super convenient. I love that you can add other services like 1 on 1 dog walks and baths. I really felt like my dog was genuinely cared for here and she came back looking and smelling exactly as she did when we dropped her off (we did not purchase a bath). Highly recommend!

Alexandra is a very caring and thoughtful person. I’m always a bit nervous the first time someone new stays with our terrier, Rudy, but she put my worries to rest the very first day by sending lots of pictures and staying in touch. I’ve already scheduled her next stay with us!

We have 2 rottweilers who can be intimidating to anyone. Our male can be "selective" in who he likes. He LOVES Alex. She is very much a dog handler/lover. Alex allowed our dogs to sniff her before she reached towards them. This is so important for an aggressive breed. My husband is a worrier about our dogs, just like the first time we left our children with a baby sitter. Alex provides photos, communication via text or phone calls, and addresses any concerns pet owners may have. I 100% recommend Alex to care for your pets while you are unavailable. Just don't let her get too busy whereby she is not available to watch our animals!

Alex has been a great resource for dog care. I have left my dog in her care several times and I always feel good about dropping my dog off with her. She has an adorable dog who loves to play with my dog. Alex is great about getting the dogs out for walks and hikes in nature. She really loves animals and it shows. I highly recommend her services!

Alex is the best! Our two dogs love her. Overnights, vacations , we never have a care or concern with our pups or the house. We recommend Alex with Skyline Petcare 100 percent!

Alex has taken care of our three cats twice now. We used to really stress about traveling and ensuring our cats were well taken care of, but Alex has helped us feel so much better about traveling. She's professional and responsive and sends us daily updates. Our cats have lots of needs (different feeding schedules, meds, lots of petting), and Alex has managed all of that seamlessly. They can also be wary of new people, so we were shocked to see how quickly our scarediest cat warmed right up to Alex. It feels great to leave them with her! I highly recommend Alex.

Alex is the best dog walker/pet sitter we have worked with... period. She truly cares for the well being of our two dogs and does everything possible to accommodate them. When we leave town for a long duration we have no worries that they will be very well taken care of. She regularly updates us regarding how they are doing. Every time our dogs go on a walk with her they are totally spent. We could not have asked for anything better.

We're overjoyed to have found Alex to look after our pets. Freedom to take off and go on overnights anywhere was seriously limited with our 3 year old Sheltie and two 4 year old Ragdoll cats. All three must have love, play, and care for most of the day to be happy. The idea of leaving them alone or in a kennel was not an option for us; our worry and guilt would have been overwhelming. Then we met Alex! She happily accommodated my need for her to get to know the 3 over time before we left for our 2 week vacation. She completely accepts my love for my pets and never makes me feel like i am a bit over the top! :) and she loves animals. All three were happy as could be when we returned after 2 weeks, the house was tidy and fur free and the boxes/potty areas all were clean and wonderfully kept up with. She had even brought a dog toy present for our Sheltie! It was over Christmas. Since that trip whenever I say "ALEX is coming" our dog runs to the front door wagging his tail and waiting impatiently. For a Sheltie this is a biggie! I've had her take care of them again on a weekend, and I even ask her to come by and play with our dog once in a while just to keep up their relationship. We like her that much! :) We can plan college visits to see our daughter and mini-holidays now whenever we want, all because we found Alex! A huge THANK YOU, Alex. We all appreciate you.

Alex is not only a impeccable person but when it comes to the well being of your Animals there is no one like her. I have top show horses that need Supreme care 247 and Alex went above and beyond what I had asked or needed her to do. I always hate leaving my two cats, but knowing Alex is caring for them is a huge relief. She spends some time with them and I really appreciate the pictures she sends. It's so nice to receive visual reassurance each day that my cats are happy and being well cared for.

My dog not only comes for boarding but they come for doggie daycare all week! They come home happy and worn out lol. Very good prices and wonderful service. Very grateful for this place. My fur babies mean the world to me and I do not trust many with them. Hercs haven is the place to be.

Roxanne has watched our dogs several times. This time was a 10 day stay! My dogs are happy, healthy, and really love her. They wanted to come home but I know they will miss her! Especially my little girl whom I know she spoils! Smells great in there - it is kept very very clean. I can highly recommend Herc’s Haven to you for boarding your pups.

We use Herc’s haven for doggy daycare and for our weekend trips when needed they have a great facility with plenty of room for our dog to run and play with other dogs. Prices are great and they are always easy to schedule with!

I cannot recommend Herc's Haven enough! The set up is genius and really comforts me knowing he can let himself out whenever he wants while still being safe. The prices are excellent. The wonderful people who run it are absolutely following their life's calling. They are so kind and loving and even sent me pictures of my sweet boy while we were away. You can tell how much they love on the dogs in their care. Best people and place to trust your furry family members with! We'll definitely be back, if only because my dog misses them so much!

This is a long overview review for Caitlin and Pet Perfect. Caitlin checked on my 2 cats for me while I was on vacation back in June and I have never been more comfortable leaving my fur babies alone. From the moment I met with Caitlin, I knew my girls would be in good hands while I was gone. After every visit she would give me an update on how things were going so I knew all was well. And, should anything have happened in my absence, I was confident Caitlin would be more than capable of taking care of things on my behalf. I highly recommend Caitlin and will most certainly hire her again the next time I'm in need of pet sitting services!

We highly recommend Caitlin and Pet Perfect! Caitlin does an exceptional job watching our two mini-american shepherds and house while we're away on vacation. One of our dogs has severe epilepsy, so I'm thankful that Caitlin feels comfortable and confident staying with him and taking care of all of his needs while we're away. In addition to doing a wonderful job with our dogs, she also watched over the house, brought in the mail and left our house very clean!

This girl is amazing. I finally don't stress going on a trip. Highly recommend.

Wonderful assessment day for my great big anxious 6yo male Labrador Retriever. He came home wearing a big grin, bolted down a quick supper and fell asleep still grinning. He slept the next 13 hours with only 2 quick breaks when I made him go relieve himself! We can’t wait to come back!

My dog Summer loves going to Blue Barn! She gets to play to her hearts content, and I always pick her up happy and exhausted. I also appreciate seeing photos/videos of the dogs on social media!

I have used Blue Barn 3 times now for doggy daycare and have been extremely pleased each time. Kalem provided "valet" service yesterday, meeting me at the car with my dog during drop-off because he knew I was running across the mountain to a meeting and at pick-up, following a long day! This added touch meant so much! After a full day of playing with the other dogs and playing fetch with the staff, my pup comes home exhausted! We are set to board overnight in a couple of weeks - we are so grateful to have this new option available in our area! I would highly recommend Blue Barn!

Our dogs loved their stay Blue Barn. Everyone there is so friendly and really cares about each pup. The facilities are wonderful and secure. Artemis and Fable will be spending a lot of time playing with all their new friends at Blue Barn!

My dog is obsessed with Blue Barn, she can’t get out of the car fast enough to go say hi to all her new friends. She comes home so happy and tired, definitely worth your money. The people are also great, they quickly learn the personality of the dogs, I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog for a day or longer.

We use Sara once a week for our dog and she has been very reliable. Our dog is very apprehensive of new people and he seems to have taken to Sara nicely. She has windows of time that she sees her clients so it may not be at a very specific time that you request. For example, our time slot is a mid-day walk between 10-12. We ask for 11:00 and most of time she is arriving around 11:15 which is fine. We understand her service delivery model. She has a lot of experience and can deal with many situations such as anxious animals. She has been working with us since June, 2022.

Sara is wonderful! She is super professional and uses a really helpful app that provides pictures, updates, and even a GPS of their walk. She communicates well and has a lot of experience. I definitely trust her with my quirky dog and would recommend her to anyone looking for pet care they can trust!

Everyone is wonderful and takes time with grooming of their pets. I have a 18 year-old pick a poo. And they’re the only ones that will take my boy they do such a great job and he is very fragile and they are wonderful. I wouldn’t recommend anybody else exceptions grooming

Amazing! My baby boy has never been cleaner! He wasn't even distressed when we picked him up! These ladies definitely have my business from here on out. And the bandana when you pick them up is so cute!!

We took our 11 year old fur baby for his first grooming in...years!!!...and we weren’t disappointed. We’d been grooming him on our own for awhile after a bad experience at Petsmart, and were scared to use another groomer. However Gina’s took our concerns into consideration and worked so well with our baby- he came home looking great, and clearly happy. We will definitely come back.

I’ve been going here for many years and have always had such a good experience and felt that everyone really cares. I’m finally writing a review because last week I thought I was losing my cat, he was rapidly declining in health and started having seizures. They were quick to respond, they were incredibly compassionate toward me, ultimately my cat improved quickly under their expertise and is nearly back to normal a week later. Dr Donlap and staff were so awesome— I can not thank you all enough <3

We had great service when we had to take our dog Maria in for a problem with her paw! We live in Myrtle beach, SC. and are here visiting family. We called Animal Health Care and they saw her that day. We are so thankful that we have a vet hospital where we can take our fur babies and know that they are in good hands! Without a doubt the best Veterinary office in Waynesboro. Dr.Eckard and her staff took care of my black lab Koa, during his final days. Though I was new to their office, they treated Koa and I as if we had been patients for years. I will simply never be able to thank them enough for their compassion and kindness. I offer this review as a small token of my unwavering gratitude. Should you find yourself in my shoes - tasked with facing the reality of losing a pet; understand that this office will usher you and your pet into this stage with dignity and respect. Long after the memory of caring for my pet is lost to them, I will never forget this team, and how they cared for my boy in his final moments.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This clinic came highly recommended by a family member, so when I moved to the area I decided to make them my primary vet. Two of my three dogs had successful surgeries removing blockages and I was very pleased with the care they received. My third dog was older, 11 1/2yo. Mobility issues. Growths on her body. Got extremely snappy with one of my other dogs. Had a really hard time standing for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Gained a good amount of weight primarily in her chest area with no reasoning as to why. I had been going back and forth for MONTHS on when the right time was to say goodbye. I finally made the heartbreaking decision and scheduled an appt. The day of the appt, my best friend and I took her in. We sat in a room for well over 30 minutes before the doctor even came in. When she did come in, she spent an absurd amount of time trying to talk me out of putting my dog down. MY dog, that I have had for over 11 years. MY dog that she knew absolutely nothing about. MY dog, that I have seen her health declining rapidly over the previous months. It honestly felt like she was trying to guilt me into not doing it, as if I was making a bad decision and being a bad dog owner. Completely unprofessional. When leaving, I asked the receptionist, Lori, if there was an option for a paw print. I was told “No, we don’t do those anymore.” So she offered an ink print on a sheet of paper. I was upset but agreed because that was better than nothing. A few days later they call and tell me her ashes were ready to be picked up. I went in the same day and got her. No paw print in the bag. I called extremely upset, spoke with Lori, and she said “Oh, it’s hanging on our wall.” Ok? Why wasn’t it put with her stuff? Fast forward, my grandmother went in today to pick up the paw print. Nowhere to be found. They couldn’t find it anywhere. They said “Something had been put in the mail for her, maybe that’s what it was.” This comes after someone else up front CONFIRMED that they do, in fact, do clay paw prints. So why was I denied? Why was I told no? This place is full of the most incompetent people I have ever met in my life. Nobody knows what the hell is going on at anytime. Disorganized. Yet we are supposed to trust them with our beloved pets? No thank you. They will never get my business again. I will gladly drive back up North to their previous vet to avoid ever stepping foot in this dump again.

My husband and I had to make a hard decision this morning. Everyone there was so involved and so caring. They went beyond to make his passing as peaceful as possible. Showing us compassion and genuinely caring made this horrible experience much easier for us. Thank you all so much

We brought our senior dog in because of a wound. It was our first time to this practice, we are in town camping. Champ was treated with dignity and respect. The staff was very kind and caring while presenting us with options. I highly recommend Animal Health Care Center.

We have been bringing our dog here to see Dr. Dunlap for 3 years now and could not be more pleased. Both the vets and techs are super friendly and even in these times of all things crazy they take their time to make sure they answer any questions you have and give your fur babies the best care. Most dogs hate to go to the vet but our Oreo is always happy to see them, they put her at ease and have given her a nickname of "Wild Woman". (Only because she is so silly)

I went out of town and my axolotl was fed some bad food.I got back and could tell something wasn’t right. She started to get worse Rapidly by day two and she got really sick. I got online and realized she probably had an infection. I called around in Charlottesville and was beginning to think no one would be able to see her. Nobody had a vet who could see “exotics” and one person said they could see her the end of the week but were too busy to get her in the same day(she probably would not have made it that long). Finally someone referred me to the Animal Health Clinic in Waynesboro. They were really really sweet on the phone and let me bring her over immediately even though I could tell they were busy. They treated her infection and gave her painkillers too. Thanks for taking the health of my little aquatic pet seriously. I got her home and she is her cute little happy looking self, looking at me, shaking her head and begging for food. You guys are awesome!!!!

Took my chinchilla in at 730am with no appointment, they got him done in less than 3 hrs and had Antibiotics, Pain medicine and liquid food ready, And it was way less $ than I was expecting!!! I had trouble administering his meds so the next day they told me to come in, I was seen immediately and a nurse spent 45 minutes showing me how to give my chin meds! It was no charge and they are always the sweetest ladies in there and so kind to your pets!!! Will be using them from now on!!

Fetch has been a wonderful experience each time we have used them. The communication is great getting services set up and the pet sitters take loving care of our dogs - Max and Rachel are the best. We would recommend them highly to anyone looking for care for their pets.

I had to find someone last minute to care for my two cats as I was going out of town to see my mom. I booked Fetch! And Sandra and Ash came out to do a meet and greet the evening before I left. They were very thorough and spent about 45 minutes to get to know my babies, their routine and anything extra I would like done while I was out. I’m a crazy cat mom, what can I say 😊 I have one very outgoing cat and one very shy, reserved cat. They were excellent with both. And my shy baby even started coming out more and more - trust, she doesn’t do that with everyone! I’m so, so, so thankful I found someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and good with cats. I 100% recommend them and will be using them again. Thank you both again so much!!

Wonderful, kind people. Sandra & Max came out to do a meet and greet with the kitties before the actual sitting. They were very thorough about making sure they had all the information they needed to take care of them. I was able to schedule the visit times based on the kitties’ existing feeding routine and each visit came with an update and photos! I didn’t have to worry about my boys at all, and it was great to get the pictures every day of them (or at least our friendly boy, the other one hides from visitors) and know that they were being well taken care of. If you’re worried about hiring someone you haven’t had petsit before, rest assured that they will take good care of your babies!

This is the third time we’ve used FETCH! and every time they have outstanding service. Krista is an excellent dog watcher and she just loves the dogs with her whole heart! She even went above and beyond when she realized we didn’t have a second leash for our second dog so she brought one from home just to be able to give them a walk. That’s the kind of service you don’t get every day.

I recently had Sandra and her team care for my dog for 5 days and nights. I have never been so well take care of and well informed about all they did for my dog while I was away. They left my home perfect as well. I have hard a very hard time finding quality pet care until I was told about them. They more than met my expectations. You will not be disappointed!

I had booked with Fetch Pet Care of C'Ville and had my meet and greet today with Krista and Sandra, they went to leave and before Krista got into her vehicle she came back to my door claiming she'd lost some mary-jane related pens, and I offered to let her look for them, and then she began accusing me and my 10 year old of stealing them and requested we empty our pockets and threatened to call the cops. I ended up calling them myself and reporting HER. Absolutely not. I'm not about that life. I'm no thief. I don't know what type of employees they're hiring at Fetch, but clearly they need to do better background checks and not allow them to bring those types of items into clients homes. This caused me way too much unnecessary stress a WEEK before my vacation. Eff that. I don't do drama, I just wanted somebody to care for my animals. I'll take my chances with Rover instead. My best friend is a pet sitter of 30 years out at Lake Monticello and she would NEVER! Reply to your reply: My younger 2 kids were sitting on the sofa playing on their tablets, not in the way, and eventually went upstairs at some point bc when y'all left they were not down here. I did let her back in to look. I asked her what they looked like, and even helped her look on the floor which would be the only place something could've fallen out, she was only in 2 rooms in my home, she told me one was red, and one was white. It truly makes me wonder if MJ is the only thing she's on. She never mentioned any money to me at all. So IDK where that came from at all, this is the first I'm hearing about that. K was acting like she was jonesing and had the shakes when she told me her vape and MJ pen supposedly went "missing" and was saying "If your dogs eat it or kids get it they'll get sick." 🙄And yes, she did in fact threaten me with the police, she said I have a medical card, I'm supposed to have them and I'll have to call the cops. I said don't worry about it, I'll call the cops myself. Since then, I've cleaned my entire home top to bottom and have yet to find anything remotely similar to the images on Google of vape pens, because I didn't even know what they looked like. So clearly she was just outright lying about losing any items. She also never mentioned any money to me, this is the first I'm hearing about it. And she did have me and my oldest BOTH empty our pockets. She had me go first and said check your pockets, all I had was a BIC lighter. Then she looked at my oldest - who had her pet rock in her pocket, and said "What about YOU? I see something in your pocket." And my oldest pulled out said rock. My 10 year old is now traumatized and terrified to even go on vacation bc of this incident. I'm glad K showed her true colors before we left our animals alone with her for an entire week. Yikes on several effing bikes. My best friend who's a pet sitter of 30 years doesn't bring her personal belongings into clients homes. She only brings a pen and a clipboard. Definitely not toxic substances.

Sandra went above and beyond for us. We were on vacation in VA when my husband had a very serious accident while hiking. He was airlifted to a hospital that about an 1.5 hrs from where we were staying. I was so worried about what to do with our 2 dogs and needing to find them care of them while not knowing the status of my husband's injuries which were significant. Sandra came to the hospital parking garage, picked them up and took great care of them. She made arrangements so I could go visit them even when she wasn't home. It was a breath of fresh air to see my pups and know the level of care they were getting while my husband had emergency surgery, while we didn't know what the outcome would be or how long we would need care. I cannot thank her enough. If you are in or near this area and need pet care, I highly recommend you use Fetch! Pet Care of Charlotte! My pups are now safely home with family and the burden she took off my shoulders allowed me to focus on my husband. Our doggos are our world and they were in great care!!!

This is an amazing pet care service! I met the sitter before she watched my cats. Then, the sitter sent great photos with each visit. Everything was attended to as I had requested. My cats loved the sitter!

Sandra and Kenzie could not have been more responsive, detail-oriented, communicative, and reassuring. We were in a time-zone six hours away and never once questioned whether our two dogs were in the best of hands at our home the entire time. Many daily updates and pictures were provided, and the house and the dogs were in perfect shape when we arrived back home. Would highly recommend Fetch!
