Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.

Carole and Ron are excellent cat-sitters! They took very good care of my cat Lola and of my house. I came home to a happy cat and a very clean and tidy house. They sent me pictures of Lola and kept me updated, so that I had a very relaxed holiday. We were very lucky to have had Nia for our recent house sit. She communicated well before the sit and arrived as planned. We shared a meal before we left which gave us time to get to know her and tell her about the house and our pets. After we left it soon became clear the cats loved Nia and the attention she gave them. We were kept informed throughout her stay with regular updates and video clips of what they were up to and how the garden was growing etc. We highly recommend Nia as a pet/house sitter and we would certainly have her back should the opportunity arise. Hannah and Joseph housesat our three kitties for a week and a half while we were traveling for the holidays. They were very communicative and conscientious. We received daily updated on our cats with cute and funny pictures. When they noticed our 17yo cat, Amber, wasn’t eating very much, they let us know and we were able to resolve the problem quickly. They were also very resourceful and understanding when we ran out of some cat supplies. Hannah and Joseph took great care of the house. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived back, and we had a short time to get to know them on our arrival. We would be fortunate to find more house sitters like them, and would of course love to have them back in the future! We wish Hannah and Joseph luck in their travels!

Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.

Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.

Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!

We are so pleased with Avalon’s service she will always try to accommodate your needs and help adjust your dog to her groups. She spent several weeks getting to know our dog before introducing her to the group and worked very hard to gain her trust. Our dog loves going out for walks with Avalon and all her friends. Avalon came well recommended by our previous pet sitter when she moved away and we couldn't be happier with how things are working out. Holly is a timid puss and Avalon has taken things slowly, letting Holly come to her in her own time, actually quite quickly! With regular updates and videos of Holly's progress, from deciding to say hello to having a cuddle, we couldn't be happier with how things have gone. We can go away knowing that Holly is happy in Avalon's care and have already recommended her to other pet owners.

Avalon’s Animal care is by far the best care your dog could receive! In the FoD she is so attentive, very knowledgeable. She gets to know each dogs individual personality and it works so well. Ellie and Charlie absolutely adore her and get so excited when’s she outside ready to pick them up I cannot recommend Avalons work enough.
Avalon is amazing and I highly recommend her. We have a fearful dog with behavioural issues and she has been fantastic with him and his confidence is growing weekly. She is highly knowledgeable about behaviour and shows great care & trust when dealing with our boy. We are so glad that we found her and love getting the updates & fantastic photos after each walk.
From the moment we got in touch with Avalon we knew we had made the right choice. We would highly recommend Avalon to anyone looking for a dog walker. Our 2 dogs Charlie and Twix greet her with the same excitement they do us, which is extremely reassuring and allows us to completely relax when they are with her. Twix in particular has come out of his shell since spending time with Avalon and the other dogs which has been wonderful to see. We cannot thank her enough and know that Charlie and Twix will miss their weekly outings with Avalon and their new friends.

Louise and Xris are lovely human beings. They care deeply about animals and in making sure they are safe and happy. Louise and Xris live their ethics and values and that is important to me. I have 2 kittens who needed transporting to the vets numerous times over a 2 week period. I don’t drive and the bus service is unreliable. Xris has been amazing in looking after and transporting my kittens back and forth and this has relieved me of a huge amount of stress. If you are reading this and wondering whether to get in contact with them, do it, you will not be disappointed! Thank you both x
We have 3 dogs and a cat all have their little peculiarities which makes trusting someone else to look after them a HUGH decision. When we met xris and louise we instantly knew they were animal people and the dogs would trust them. I cannot recommend them enough. Xris looked after, not only the dogs and the cat but also my polytunnel, newly sown seedlings and left the house cleaner than I had. The dogs were happy, chilled and had obviously had a lovely time. Such a good service I’m looking to book another holiday to make up for the 4 years without one!!!!
I am so grateful to Louise for stepping in at the last minute to look after my 16 year old girls, due to our previously booked sitter not being able to do the full week. We had a lovely meeting where she took down all the details about my cats feeding and toileting preferences and I was happy to relax and leave them in her care, as she was so kind and very experienced. We got back to a lovely clean feeding area and set of litter trays. Communication was great throughout our time away. I will definitely use Louise in the future.
Well what can I say, I was very apprehensive about what would happen with the dogs when we went away for 10 nights as kennels have not been the best experience in the past. But from the minute we contacted, Xris and Louise they have been fantastic, they introduced themselves slowly to our 3 (who can be anxious at times) took them for walks prior to the sit which worked amazingly. Communication is fantastic, we had regular updates while we were away letting us know how they were doing. We came home to 3 very happy and very well looked after dogs 🐕. I will definitely be booking again and we have asked for frequent walks to maintain a bond. 5 stars and I'll recommend to anyone I meet. Thanks guys xx
Louise was amazing from start to finish. We abandoned our house to go to our sons wedding, she very kindly looked after our boys and tidied up for me. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending her and Xris to look after your pets and home. If I could give more stars I would ⭐️
Xris and louise was very warm and friendly to talk to and both knew how to handle my 2 and a half year old German shepherd on the meeting alone and was a bit unsure and barky when xris came to walk and him and was best friends by the time they cake back 🤣would definitely recommend xris and louise if your in need of dog walking or any other pet problems you may have ❤️
Brilliant! Odin loved having Xris looking after him! He was very happy and chilled when we come home! They listened so well to learn all they can about Odin and even took him for a walk! Would definitely recommend them to look after your fur baby and would definitely use them again xx
I couldn't recommend these guys enough they stepped in last minute to look after my dogs. Louise took time out if her day to come and meet them all before she stayed the following day. Louise reassured me and put me at ease leaving my dogs in her hands for the day. I had lots of updates and photos though the day. Louise is a true animal lover and so kind and caring. We have never had a house sitter before for our 4 dogs, they can be a handful and have their own quirks!! However the second we met Louise, Xris and holly we knew our gang would be truly looked after and spoiled, nothing was too much trouble, and they did everything we do to make sure the dogs routine was the same. Loads of pictures and updates, and our Gina g looked truly sad when they were leaving! We were recommended to Rachel by our puppy trainer whilst we were training and socialising our dawg Bryn post lockdown. He was a bit of a boisterous fella who was not very aware of his own energy and physical size when playing with other dogs. We organised a trial day where Bryn was weighed, measured and checked for what was wanting and Rachel confirmed he was at the right place and he confirmed this by returning to us a very happy and tired pooch. We knew time with Rachel and the gang was really benefiting Bryn when out for walks after attending his first few times at doggy daycare. Bryn was calmer, less prone to over-excitement and much more at ease with the many dogs he met. Rachel takes time to mix the daycare attendees so they work together, play and socialise well. They are exercised and rested with care and it is clear she knows each dog well and ensures their happiness. Every detail is checked and Rachel's facilities, transport and thoroughness ensures we know Bryn is looked after to a high level. The proof is in the happy chap that we pick up after every daycare session and the confidence, maturity and mellowness that a weekly social interaction with other dogs and Rachel has brought to Bryn. Rachel was a godsend after traveling from London to visit the magical forest of PuzzleWood, to discover no dogs were allowed! They suggested to contact her and she was with us within 10 minutes. Took my bedlington for a 2 hour walk which was perfect timing for us to explore the woods too. Thank you Rachel for being our angel!!
Rachel has been taking my dogs for walks and day boarding for a few years now and I can’t rate her more highly. My dogs love her and are always ready waiting by the door for her! I really appreciate how flexible she is with her services - she will always help me out of dog care related crises if she can!
Rachel recently looked after our two dogs whilst we were at a wedding. She was caring and efficient. The dogs were very happy and we were too knowing they were in capable, professional hands. I really can't recommend Rachel highly enough - she looked after our two border collies as though they were her own. She has a fantastic affinity with our four-legged friends and I felt so comfortable knowing that our boys were in great care. Rachel sent us updates and photos of our dogs having what appeared to be the best day of their lives - I don't think they missed us at all! Highly recommended, very experienced , offers day boarding, walking and emergency one-oo support for things like unexpected hospital visits, funerals etc. Our dogs love her and our lurches,who is very wary of new people, took to her straight away, which is very unusual. Great rates, very flexible.

Picked our bulldogs Lennon & Grayson up after a 5 night stay & they had a fabulous time. It was the 2nd time in kennels for Grayson & 1st time for Lennon. Grayson doesn’t trust everyone & Joanne & her team had him playing by the end of the week which is a huge achievement in our book. Loved the updates of photos & videos throughout their stay. The staff really engage with all the dogs. Lovely kennels & staff. My 2 will be going to stay again in October & Im confident they will enjoy the stay just as much!
Amazing, if my boy needs to stay somewhere and they have space this will be my first option. Honestly this kennel dispelled any worries I had about my dogs safety and wellbeing being in a kennel, they gave daily updates on how he was doing. He stayed for 9 days in total and I definitely would not hesitate to let him stay again. They played with him and they loved him like he was one of their own. Staff are amazing and understanding, they offer grooming facilities too. The area itself is beautiful to explore too. You definitely won't regret letting your dog stay here. If I could give a rating higher than 5 stars I would in a heart beat.
Excellent Kennels! Fantastic open space, supper clean and experienced friendly staff. We have been looking for a Kennel for a while and not have found any suitable ones. The team treated our dog like their own. When picking up our dog, he was supper happy and not had any issues. I love that he came out the way he went in. They have great schedules and spend quality time with the dogs. Dogs can play together or separately, supervised by staff. In addition they also do grooming which is so convenient. Supper happy to have found a great Kennel near by and not have to worry if our dog is safe and happy. Thanks guys definitely recommend and will be returning!

Our StaffxRotty loved it here so much he didn't want to leave when we picked him up! Many kennels are good with either small or large breeds, but Country Dogs are amazing with any size dog. I got updates throughout our holiday as well as pictures. You can tell Jo and her family have a genuine passion for dogs and love what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to send my dog to stay with Country Dogs again. He's come home healthy, happy and very tired out from all the play time.
Very professional from start to finish, i would highly recommend this family run business. I’m very impressed with how well they looked after my husky, even turning on the air-conditioning so he didn’t get to hot, will definitely have my dog stay here again.
Collected my 2 large furbabies from Country Dogs yesterday after a 15 day stay. It was longest time I have left them at a kennels & I was bit worried how they would be. I needn't have worried at all! When went in they were happy to see us but then turned back to the many toys to play. Jo & team truly take care of all dogs & send updates & photos to you. The place is clean tidy &dogs cared for whilst having a fun holiday of their own. Thank you so much.

Carol and her team go above and beyond to give our two boys love and care every time we’re away. Blaze and Bandit are over the moon to visit and we can tell they have the best time. Carol and her team have also gone above and beyond so many times for us too, squeezing our dogs in at the 11th hour when my dad went into hospital and we had to leave last minute. Everyone at Carols have been so incredibly supportive, kind and caring of us and our boys through Dads illness and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for the love and kindness they have shown us and our boys. My dog loves it here! Such a lovely countryside location, it’s like a dog holiday camp. The staff are great and I always feel sure my dog is going to be well looked after, it’s a huge weight off my mind when leaving him.
Our Beagle loves it there. We'll looked after and friendly staff. Great setting for them to play in as well.

Great experience from start to finish..My Staffy Star's first time using Carol's Kennels in August was so nervous because it was his first time in kennels but he loved it and loved being spoilt rotten. They update you also with pictures ect :)) he will definitely be returning for a visit x

We left our Bulldog Chester here whilst we went away for 10 days in August. We were quite anxious as he’s never been to a kennels before and the weather was very hot, Something that Chester struggles with. Luckily we were reassured with messages and photos from the lovely staff and we found them all to be extremely friendly. Chester seemed to have a great time and came home in great condition with the staff going above and beyond to tend to him. We wouldn’t hesitate to send him for a holiday again here.
My dog loves this place! He always wants to go back in! He never smells of kennels when he comes home and they always have plenty of treats. Dogs that are friendly, neutered and vaccinated can run around in the orchard and food is included in the price which is reasonable.

Contacted in January to book my dog to stay with Forest Paws in June, was told we would need a couple of days to stay there previously to settle him in. ONE WEEK before we were due to leave for our holiday she tells me she can no longer look after my dog because he cried through the night. No apology or remorse whatsoever. If you don't like dogs crying because they're away from home you shouldn't be in the business. I had to pay £20 for the privilege of being turned away at the 11th hour and she didn't even thank me for that, am now left desperately trying to find a kennel at peak season and if I can't I've lost hundreds on a holiday I won't be able to go on. She even admitted in hindsight she should have dealt with things sooner to avoid letting me down. Shouldn't be in business, rude and unprofessional. Avoid.

Green Lawns Boarding kennels is truly wonderful. Every time I take my gorgeous Airedale Terrier, Ruby there. She jumps out of the car, she sees Julie and she’s wagging her tail and I’m feeling happy and relaxed. I know she’s in safe hands.
Our dogs have been staying with Julie for many years and she has always provided a first class service. Very good accommodation and also good value for money. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delighted with my choice to enlist the services of Green Lawn Boarding Kennels so as could go away for a few days. I left Flo-Jo (my greyhound) there for 4 nights and the service received from start to finish was first class. Great communication in the initial period with clear directions as to what I needed to take and what I didn’t. On arrival we were greeted with wonderful facilities and a very friendly and professional welcome from Julie. Unlike my usual experiences of leaving Flo-Jo at kennels, she didn’t even turn round to bark me goodbye as I departed, as she was already on her first walk of the day, tail wagging. On picking her up again, I could tell she’d been well looked after and I was given a lovely review of her progress and well-being whilst being there. I honestly can’t rate Green Lawn Boarding Kennels highly enough and a huge thank you to Julie for the care and attention she showed Flo-Jo during her stay. We’ll be back!
Used Green Lawns when I went away for the weekend. The family who run the place were so friendly and helpful and clearly care so much about the dogs there. My lab definitely had no issues with the place as he seemed so happy and comfortable there when I went to pick him up. Will definitely be using again in the future and would recommend to anyone.
Lovely kennels, in a great location, run by a lovely lady. Our dog came home very happy. I think he would have liked to stay longer!

Called at the kennels this afternoon during opening hours found nobody from the kennels I was told she was out, called on the telephone left a message this afternoon no reply tried again this evening still no reply makes you wonder who gives the good review's ? Our Jack Russell Midge was not socialised due to COVID and is quite anxious. We contacted Rhiannon hoping that walking in a group of dogs would help her. We were the anxious ones during the first walk! We needn't have worried. Rhiannon is calm but firm with her and she took to her straight away. I can honestly say it's been a game changer. Midge is so excited to see her when she is collected for her walk and her improvement has been huge. We get a video of her walking with the other dogs and Rhiannon. Midge is a pleasure to walk now. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rhiannon to anyone. She is professional, friendly and easy to deal with and, more importantly, Midge loves her.
Rhiannon has been walking our Collie, Chip for couple of years. His time out with her gives him a change of scene and the opportunity to socialise with other dogs. Rhiannon is great and we'd have no hesitation recommending her to others. And we know that Chip would say the same!
Rhiannon has been walking our two dogs, GSD and G-Retriever for a few years now. They both love their walks and get so excited when they see her. Rhiannon is very professional and puts the welfare of our dogs first, e.g, changing walking times when the weather is hot. Would highly recommend Rhiannon of Walking Paws to anyone looking for dog walking services.
Our dog Teddy loves his walks with Rhiannon. It’s clear from the pictures and videos we get each walk that he has the most amazing time. Rhiannon is so loving towards all of the dogs on the walks and I know Teddy is in the best of hands. She’s reliable, organised & so friendly. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
I couldn't be happier with Rhiannon and Walking Paws, and neither could Albie, our cocker spaniel. Rhiannon is the most caring and knowledgeable dog walker/carer you could wish for. She really gets to know each individual dog and their personality and foibles! She is utterly reliable and trustworthy, and good value for money. I'm not sure what we would do without her and Albie absolutely loves her. I would recommend Walking Paws without hesitation.
Rhiannon has looked after our cocker spaniel Mabel for the past year whilst we were renting in the area. Mabel can be quite an anxious dog, but she immediately settled with Rhiannon and loved going for walks with her. This is testament to Rhiannon's way with dogs. Rhiannon was amazing at picking up Mabel at short notice and being flexible to suit us when needed. Mabel will really miss her walks now we have moved and a huge thanks for looking after her so well! Highly recommend Rhiannon's services!

My boy Milo has stayed at Wyes Cats twice now. He absolutely loves it as you can see in the photos, Michelle sends photos and a little update of him enjoying his holiday away! The view the cats have from the suites over looks the garden so they can bird watch! The owner is lovely and takes such great care of the cats, she also answers any concerns and questions you have. The cattery itself is in such a peaceful area (cattery only so no dog kennels nearby which is amazing!!), it’s also immaculate and doesn’t smell of cats, the suites are more than spacious! 100% recommend this place for your cat to have a luxury stay away from home ☺️ he comes home chilled, happy and well taken care of which is all I could ask for!
Superb cattery. I wouldn't trust leaving my boy, Henry, anywhere else. The owner, Michelle, is a real cat lover, and the cattery itself is clean and modern. The cats get a lovely view of the countryside from their apartments; each of which consists of two sections: one at the front for general living space, and a smaller room at the back which is sound-proofed for sleeping.
Thank you so much for taking such great care of Pinot. Pinot is 10 years old and has never been to a cattery before. I was very nervous being her first time.. I didn’t need to worry Michelle clearly loves cats and takes the time to get to know there personalities. I even got photos whilst we were away. I can highly recommend and will definitely use again. Update 22 Oct 2022 Following numerous phone calls from the owner of the business. I am removing this review. She no longer specialises in small dogs and is now a cattery, as my review was about the treatment of our dogs I am removing it as should not be relevant to cats. Update 3 July 2024 This review was written when the owner was operating as a kennels specialising in small breeds. The same as other reviews placed here when it was a kennels. It is a statement of facts and neither fake or slanderous. The threats of police and legal action reveal much as to temperament of the owner. The only reason to add to this review today was in response to claims of fake review and slander claims, neither of which stand up to any scrutiny. Grooming was not an expectation but given a specialist small breed kennels, the embedded, caked in mud was unexpected and when bathing had no impact, they required professional grooming to resolve. The only reason for the review was the intransigence of the owner that this was not an outcome that most small breed owners would be happy with. Switching to a cattery supports the suggestion that the specialist in small breeds kennelling was not panning out. I wish the owner well and success in her new business venture.
We were slightly nervous leaving our 7 month old kittens for the first time, so we were glad they could stay in the same ‘apartment’ together. Michelle was lovely and she obviously looked after our kittens well as they both seem happy and content, and settled back at home quickly.
Our cat loved his stay at the Wye Cat Hotel! He was very settled throughout the long weekend and Michelle was super friendly, her customer service is fantastic! Would highly recommend :)
We left our 18 year old cat Tibby at Wyes Cats for a week. She is blind and also on 2 lots of medication. She has never been in a Cattery before but she settled quickly and was well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Wyes Cats again.
First time leaving my cat at Wyes, I was allowed to visit before booking dates. Michelle was a lovely host and very reassuring. Email replies were fairly quick and she sent us updates when possible. Michelle did her best to accommodate my cat who is quite anxious and had trouble settling in. Would happily book again in the future and recommend to others.
I took my Cat Tilly trotter here for her holiday . It was the first time from the house but she settled in really well . Michelle was lovely . They have have there own little homes tomlivebin all comfy and clean . I will definitely put Tilly there again . 🐈🐈 …
This was the first time we had used Wyes Cats luxury hotel but we were extremely pleased with the high standards of the suites and the lovely reception from Michelle. There were toys, blankets and plenty of comfy places for our cat to snuggle down which made her feel relaxed during her stay. We were thrilled to receive an email with photos to update us on our cats stay which made the holiday more relaxing. We have already booked for our cat to stay again. Highly recommended.

Steph is amazing! I can’t think of any other way to describe it. She’s knowledgeable, kind and clearly so passionate about dogs. She’s always incredibly generous with her advice and has learned my dog as an individual. He adores her. I am 100% confident that my dog has a wonderful time with her, and she clearly truly cares for him. Not having to worry about him while I’m at work gives invaluable peace of mind, and the value for money cannot be beaten. If you are considering a dog walker please don’t look any further. I really doubt you’d find better.
I cant fault Steph, Heart of the pack, she has been Amazing with my Lucy she walks Lucy 3 days a week and she is now a 10 month old pup and much better to handle since Steph has been involved, it was coming so close to saying i have to let Lucy go because she was so naughty but Steph saved the day and she has put so much work into her i now have a beautiful calmer dog, and Steph has never let me down and always took good care of my baby girl. I highly recommend her ;-)
I can't say enough how happy I was to find Steph to look after my 2 dogs. They love being with her as much as being at home .They go out running with her and they are out in her garden as much as they like ,she includes them into her family so there is no stress for them just happy times. .They cane home with a few more manners but also came home happy and relaxed.Steph is excellent with dogs anyone who let's her look after their dogs will not be disappointed and neither will their dogs.
Great service provided by Steph. She walks my dog every week and he has come on a long way. Steph is great with the dogs and they seem to have lots of fun out and about in the forest. Very reliable and friendly, would recommend.
