this Is a great place to bring your pooch. There is a brand new owner and new competent staff. Dogs are happy, socialized and get lots of one on one attention. Training is top notch featuring Kirstin McMillan and her crew. Updated play yard with amazing water feature and play groups. Dog boarding and grooming. This place is great and no exposure to sick animals like boarding at a vets. And to top it off... a room with an ocean view.

It’s been a few years since we boarded there, but back when it was called Sandpiper Kennel they used to do a great job of taking care of my dog. It was the *only* place he was happy to go to because Patti and the Manager were so good to him.

Friendly staff. Great facilities. Care about dogs. Used to come for years with old owners. And the new owners are just as good.

Best dog boarding in Malibu

We had a great experience boarding our 3 large dogs for one night. The staff was so welcome, and loved our dogs. The staff also communicated well when one of our dogs experienced some digestive problems and they reached out to us immediately. We are going back and have already scheduled two boarding times. The staff definitely loves animals and that is so important in taking care of them. Plus if any healthcare is needed the best vets are right next door.

Terrible evaluation process done by someone who is clearly incompetent. We asked to get our dog evaluated when they finally got back to us they basically kept him there the whole day and claimed they could not evaluate him because he had anxiety. Our dog has been every other boarding from Canyon Ranch to Fitdog and even the place that was here before they renovated and never an issue. On top of that the place has random schedules and strict rules on when you can drop your pet for daycare so even if you pay for the whole day if you are not there exactly when they open you can’t leave them there for the rest of the day. They system is pretty absurd and after all the work done to renovate it’s a shame that is has been handed to the wrong people to run

My dog has boarded here twice and we have only had positive experiences. She was nervous going in her first time but was so excited to go back a second time. She loves the team here!

We had a great experience with Sit & Stay for boarding, daycare and light grooming. We were in LA for a wedding and needed last minute care for our 75 lb goldendoodle and the Sit & Stay team was able to accommodate us on short notice. The team was caring and kind and professional and our dog had a great time over the weekend! We would highly recommend them to anyone for boarding or daycare!!

This place was great and gave awesome care to my little fur baby. It was her first time boarding so it was important to me that I find somewhere that would give her not only physical care but love too! Sit & Stay more than exceeded my expectations.

I was in a stressful situation and needed a place for Bob to stay for the day and night since I couldn't take him to where we were going. Bob is an apartment cat and doesn't have a lot of experience in the outside world. Not only that, I've never really been separated from him since we started hanging out about 3.5 years ago. I guess the staff noticed all this when I contacted them to see if they had room for Bob on short notice. Not only did they have room for him, they sent me a pic of him a few hours after I dropped him off to show me he was ok. It was at that point that I realized I had nothing to worry about. Bob was in the best hands imaginable. The staff, Sara, Nicole, Mary, and six others I didn't get to meet, are amazing. Bob had a great time and was comfy. They took great care of him. Bob didn't get the chance to stay the whole time as we had to shorten our original plans and pick him up early. Once again, no hassle. I love this place. I wouldn't consider taking Bob anywhere else. Thanks guys. I'm telling all my friends!

I had to leave my senior pup while I was away here. I left worried and had major anxiety detachment issues. But everyone here at Sit and Stay put me at ease every day with an email of how he was doing and photos. He had so much fun, I dont think he wanted to leave his new friends.

I absolutely love using Fetch for cat sitting! Fetch is fast and reliable! Nancy has been our cat sitter for the past year and she takes great care of our cats while we are gone. They’ve had to make changes to their diet, medication, etc and Nancy always makes sure they get exactly what they need. I never have to worry about our kitties while we are away which is a great feeling! When Nancy is not available our backup Kelly is just as amazing! We are very lucky to have found this service. Prices are also extremely reasonable and you can choose different lengths of time for the cat sitter to come. I would highly recommend Fetch to anyone in need of pet services!

I have been a Fetch client for over a year, and my experience with the pet sitters and the owner (Regina) has always been fantastic. Booking appointments is very easy: the schedulers get back to me very quickly and let me know if my usual sitter is available, or if I will be meeting a new sitter (meetings with sitters are free). They are also very accommodating with scheduling around special circumstances. Last summer I was planning to go out of town on a trip, but one of our cats was diagnosed with cancer and I was unsure of whether or not I would be able to go. They set me up with a sitter with the understanding that I might need to cancel a few days before, and there was no cancellation fee when I did indeed have to cancel my trip. My pet sitter, Paul, is just wonderful! We have 4 cats, all with very different personalities and needs, and he takes it all in stride. He is obviously a big cat lover, and really bonds with each one of our cats. He sent me daily text updates while we were gone, which really help ease any anxiety I have about leaving them. On the occasion that I needed a different sitter, Fetch assigned me a sitter that is also a vet tech, since two of my cats were having medical issues at the time, they felt that she would be a good fit for them. This is the kind of personalized service that Fetch offers, and I really appreciate so that I don't have to worry about whether my cats are getting the best possible care. Fetch is so great that I went from "just" being a client to working for them as a pet sitter!

I've been using Fetch for the last five years or so and couldn't be happier with their level of service. They have a team of reliable sitters and it's a breeze to book and schedule. Kelly takes such great care of our kitty while we're away, including sending daily photos, and goes out of her way to pick up more food or litter in times of need. We're very thankful for her and for Fetch!

We truly enjoyed the pet sitting service provided by Fetch West LA. My husband and I were out of town for 10 days and we had the pet sitter over 5 times. Fetch service was very professional and organized. They truly care about the pets and only hire the best sitter. Our sitter was attentive, detail oriented, and playful with our 2 cats. When we met her the very first time during the initial consultation, we immediately liked her and had no problem entrusting our babies with her.The consultation session made us feel good about who were going to be taking care of babies. She also kept us informed with how our cats are doing via email while we were away. Knowing that our cats were in good hands and cared for by the Fetch sitter, we were able to enjoy our vacation to its fullest. We also enjoyed how easy it was to start the service. Everything was pretty much online/via email. They were very responsive with our inquiries. Oh. we had a beta fish also and they took care of him without extra charge. We came home after a long vacation finding all our pets (2 cats + 1 fish) were happy and playful as usual. Moreover, we found a LOVELY note from the sitter and talked about how our cats were. AWWW....we felt like she really took them in as her own while we were away. Fetch will be THE service I'd use. I highly recommend it to all pet owners.

Fetch Pet Care sitters are awesome. I've been using Fetch for many years now and I can always trust them to take care of my cats. I love the daily updates and pictures. The sitters are experienced, professional, and personable. I also love the Fetch concierge service, which always finds me a sitter (even last minute). Payment is super easy via their portal.

Our family has used Fetch Pet Care for nearly a decade now and have had several sitters over the years. We have always had a good experience, and have highly recommended the company to our friends, many of who have also used their services. It is very tailor made to what you need specifically for your pet, and you are able to meet with your sitter in advance of the appointment to make sure your pets like them, that they know what you expect, etc. Great experience.

We wound up needing a last minute pet sitter for our very large dog while we were away for our wedding and our initial pet care plan fell through. While they normally need more time to get you set up with a sitter, they managed to find us Gretchen super last minute and she was great! She kept in touch and let us know how our pup was doing and we came home to a happy dog. I would definitely recommend reaching out to Fetch when you need pet care!

I am so lucky to have found Fetch! I have 2 rescue pugs that I could never leave at a kennel, and Fetch has introduced me to 3 awesome young ladies who stay over night in my home while I am away. My girls are well cared for while I am gone and I dont worry about them. The sitters send photos, text updates that are very reassuring. They are all sweet and obviously love dogs! Regina and her staff have always been quite accommodating to my last minute sitting requests and have kept their commitment to plans made in advance. Fetch has made going away without the dogs much easier and very relaxing!

We are incredibly happy with all of the services of Fetch Pet Care. We have a medium sized, semi-anxious dog and two SUPER snuggly cats, so lots of different pet needs in our house. We have had a pet sitter walk our dog, visit with/take care of our cats and even had someone stay at our apartment for a few nights. In that instance, we had daily updates on the pets and our apartment was well taken care of while we were gone. In all cases, we felt very comfortable with the sitters in our home. Claudia often takes care of our kitties and they're always well fed and content when we get home - she'll also send us pictures on occasion which always makes us happy. Regina, who manages the Santa Monica branch, is very professional, friendly and incredibly accommodating last minute, which is especially great if you're a spontaneous traveler. We're always notified of billing and billed appropriately, and I find the prices to be competitive with other dog walking and sitting services. I highly recommend Fetch!

Fetch is amazing! With just days until my business trip and still no one lined up to take care of my little cat, I started to panic. I called Fetch and they immediately sent over one of their pet sitters to meet with me at my home. She knew exactly how to make my VERY timid cat feel comfortable. They also thought of every possible contingency. I knew my cat was in good hands. The cat sitter was also nice enough to indulge me with daily email updates, and I loved the report card they left behind!

I had never boarded my dog before, but I needed a place for him over Thanksgiving and spent a lot of time researching. I chose Topanga Pet Resort because the staff seemed very professional and recommended a gradual daycare introduction to help my dog adjust. This approach worked wonderfully—my emotional dog felt confident and happy with their team. My dog also struggled with leash pulling and reactivity during walks, and I wasn’t sure how to handle it. Trainer Maxim gave me excellent advice and worked with my dog during his boarding stay. I’m so grateful and already noticing progress—I plan to continue training here.

I’m taking the time to write this for anyone who has struggled with their dog not doing well at traditional boarding and looking for the best place. My son 😅 has a lot of health issues and sepawation anxiety, along with doggybetes (diabetes). He has done extremely well with their style of care and boarding. These people really love dogs and know how to read them! My son looks forward to going here, whereas other places he didn’t want to leave me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Best place that we have taken our dog to for training. The trainers are great. Our dog is more obedient around other dogs and less reactive. They have also helped train me and my husband on how to better control our dog and will correct our mistakes. The staff are genuinely interested in making our pets better. We've learned a lot and will continue to take our dog there.

This place deserves 10 stars. I had an emergency and they were so helpful in taking both my Pups so I could make my flight. Everyone was so kind and warm and when I picked them up they had funny stories describing my Pups idiosyncratic personalities. Loved that!

Duke loved his time at Topanga Pet Resort. The trainers were professional, and his behavior improved a lot. The resort is conveniently located in Topanga Canyon, and the pricing is fair for the quality of service. Duke enjoyed the premium food and the large exercise areas.

Topanga Pet Resort has been our go-to place for boarding our dogs year after year, and they have consistently provided outstanding care. Even after a change in ownership, the excellent service and attention to our pets have remained above and beyond our expectations. The staff is extremely accommodating and goes out of their way to ensure our dogs feel comfortable and well-cared for. We are so grateful for the peace of mind they give us every time we leave our furry family members in their hands. I found Topanga Pet Resort's service to be absolutely satisfactory. My dog received great care from the personnel, who also gave him lots of playing and lovely views of the surrounding area. I received regular updates, which made me feel comfortable about leaving him there. The facility was excellent, and my dog returned content and tired. It's evident that the group genuinely loves the animals in their care.

my dog Kai and I love this place!!! I had big problems with my dog's aggression, he was completely unprepared to be in public places and was unfriendly with my friends and family. After training at TPR his behavior completely changed! we even went to Starbucks!!!! 😂 Every weekend I go to the ocean with my dog and his behavior is wonderful! I am so so happy!! Thanks to the trainers of Topanga pet resort. and thanks to the hotel staff for taking care of my son!

After boarding our pups there for several years, we will now find a new place. The service has gone down hill and when we picked up our pups last week one of them had had caked on feces on the back. It looked like it had been there for days. I hadn’t scheduled a bath before picking up because they were going to be groomed. We were disappointed to see our pups looking so bad. Also, we paid for late pick up, but were able to pick up early. They said they couldn’t refund the late pick up fee. We called and spoke to a manager and conveyed all of this. We have not heard back from them.
