Rob has been amazing with our pup Riley. He takes an interest in each dog, knows who they like to play with, and even if they have a best friend! It's been wonderful. We send her 3 days a week, and she has her social meter filled each day. Rob came highly recommended to us and we can see why!! Riley comes home happily, exhausted from each day. In addition to the day care, Cedar Ridge also offers a boarding service, which we have used, and let me tell you, we have such peace of mind knowing our pup is in good hands! If you are in need of either service, we highly recommend Cedar Ridge.

My dogs love day care here! They are so excited to go when I drop them off, that they sing with excitement from the minute I turn on Townsend road, then are worn out from their fun time when I pick them up. Rob takes great care of them- monitoring the dogs and maintaining their areas. It has been great for socializing our puppy too. It has been a safe and positive environment for them.

Rob and Kelly are fantastic people who truly care about every dog and person that walks through their door. I left my dog, Sonny, in Rob's care while I went out of town for a work trip (not an easy thing for me to do). Once I was sent pictures of how happy Sonny was I instantly felt better. Their new location is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend!!!

Moka absolutely loves going here; so much that she starts barking in the car the minute we get onto the road because she knows exactly where she is! We never hesitate to leave her there when we are away because we know she is well looked after and having the best "vacation". Thank you!!

Rob is amazing with our golden retriever, Frankie! Their setup is fantastic with lots of space to play in, and separate areas for different energy levels. There's even a large covered area for wet days. Our dog always comes home exhausted after a good long day of playing with her friends. The dogs are well managed so we never have to worry for her safety. I highly recommend Cedar Ridge!

The staff here are amazing, they gave us new information in regards to the fact that our Samoyed is a bit of a pool hog, (btw: the breed generally will not go in the water) besides that they take excellent care of the dogs in their care, and are extremely upfront and honest about everything.

We were very happy with how they were able to accommodate us with very little notice. We called and got updated well we were away and they had no problem with us calling to see how our old grumpy gator was, and our dog was happy even when we arrived to pick her up after 4 days, she calmly went and laid back down in her favorite shady spot at the property. We really like the idea of the dogs not being kenneled all day , they are free during the day and get out in the evening as well. We will definetly use there service again and the prices are very reasonable too! We recommend.

Sierra, just spent a week at the kennel. This is the second time we used this facility. The owners were very accommodating with check in. They were detailed in the dogs well being and are super friendly. I will bring her back and appreciate the owners taking such good care of her.

Cedar Ridge Canine is a great place to socialize and exercise your dog(s). Samson and Lina just love going to doggy daycare. Rob is a great care giver to our dogs, I know their safe in his hands. Thanks for opening up this Cedar Ridge Canine😀

David has an excellent rapport with the dogs that he looks after and they trust him. He also spends time to go for hikes with them to give them the exercise that they need. He's very good.

I like seeing how David teaches trust in the dogs, allows them to have fun, and is quick to praise or correct when needed.

my dog has been going with van Island for awhile now and I cannot say enough good things ! Ali and Chad have been so accommodating and flexible. They are super easy to get in touch with and are extremely reliable. I never worry about Ever and he is SO excited to go with them and comes back tired and mentally fulfilled. He is an extremely high energy dog, so knowing he will go out with them and be able to get rid of all that extra energy in a safe environment is such a relief for me. They do a great job catering to every dogs different needs. I cannot say enough good things about them and would recommend them to anyone who needs an extra hand getting their dogs out!

Words cannot explain how much my pup Alfie loves the Van Island Pups team. From the very beginning, Ali & Chad welcomed Alfie and cared for and loved him immensely. The love that they have for every pup is so clear that it radiates - so much that we cannot leave our place without Alfie looking around to check if it's a Van Island Pups hike day. I feel so lucky that we've found these incredible people. Truly the best!

Van Island Pup has saved my life. Working a full time job while having a puppy, is not an easy task. Chad and Ali have been very accommodating to my schedule. My Reesie LOVES his pack walks. He gets soo excited when its pack walk days. The entire process is always very seamless. It is not easy to find good people to take care of your pup these days, but I am very glad to come across Van Island Pups.

I am so grateful for Van Island Pups! I have a large 2 year old German shepherd who requires so much exercise and stimulation every day. Van Island Pups welcomed him into their pack like he’s one of their own! He gets the perfect balance of play and structure on his hike, while also getting to practice healthy socialization with other dogs! He is absolutely pooped when he gets home. Ali, Chad, and the Van Island Pups team have been incredible. From prompt, thoughtful and professional communication to the patience with our 1.5 yr collie x, Avalanche, I couldn't recommend them more! Ava isn't the most comfortable with new people, and VIP pack leaders have given her the space to grow her confidence within a couple short months. We're so grateful and Ava can't wait for her next adventure hike!

I couldn't say enough good things about Ali and Chad. I was referred to them by my pup's previous dog walker, and I'm so grateful to have their services. I have trialed a lot of different options from doggy daycare to individual dog walkers, and Van Island Pups has been the safest and most reliable option. I was a bit worried because my rescue pup is very timid/shy, but Ali and Chad were so patient and kind with him. They take him to a safe location for a good hike on days that I'm working, and he's relaxed when I get home. It's so nice to not have to worry about a single thing.

My dog Rufus started regular walks with Van Isle Pups earlier this year, and it’s been fantastic! I've really appreciated their reliability and professionalism. My pup spends his mornings at the window, tail wagging madly, waiting for his new best friends to arrive to whisk him away on the day’s adventure. He obviously has a great time with Ali, Chad, and the rest of the pack, because he always arrives home happy and exhausted.

My puppy Goose has been going hiking with the awesome dog pack with Van Island Pups since January 2021 and he absolutely loves it. When I first dropped him to Chad and Allison, he was only a small puppy and I was so worried to be away from him. But Allison sent me updates through the day and put my mind at ease for which I am so grateful. He comes back exhausted and happy and I know they take good care of him every time he hikes with them. They are professional, reliable, trustworthy, and overall just great people and I absolutely recommend them!

Van Island Pups is amazing! Ali and her team are so professional, great at what they do, and love our dog as if she were their own- our pup is so excited to see the team and the pack that she literally jumps into the van before we’ve got her leash off. Our pup comes home super tired after her day at Van Island Pups and with more skills! We’ve had many dog sitters and walkers and honestly Van Island Pups is the best we’ve ever had. The communication is excellent and they are so accommodating. If you want a dog walker team that’s patient, skilled at training dogs, takes their pack on exciting and stimulating hikes, and has safety as their number one priority then check them out- I highly recommend them.

I love Chad and Ali at Van Island Pups! I have one of the most challenging breeds around and they have figured out what works best for her and truly seem to love her as one of their own, despite her quirky ways😊. She is difficult to tire out but they seem to be able to do it! I work varying shifts and they can always accommodate my little girl even with short notice. They have beautiful posts on Instagram daily about the days hikes and it’s a great way to see how my pup spent her time. I have nothing but good things to say about Van Island Pups! Val & Kora

My dog had a great haircut by Stephanie. I was surprised there were so many dogs there. I didn’t realize it was a doggie day care as well. My dog can get anxious around a lot of dogs and noise. She came and picked him up and she said he did great. I would definitely use them again if I’m in the area.

My little Chihuahua Honey has been going through life changes with me that are challenging. She has been going to daycare with great improvements! I would recommend any dog going here for a break from their home that is out of sorts temporarily! Staff are wonderful and caring! ❤

Laurie is an amazing pup daycare staff. Our pup is sensitive, but she is always excited when we take her back. Can’t say enough good things about her and this business!

My visit to the lucky dog place was very nice. My wife left me with the task of taking our two dogs a three year old pit bull and a one year old blue Healer to get there nails done there was reception area in the front with a dog couch and a wooden fence keeping about seven dogs of all size out of my space with the healer. The very friendly dog lady came in to that area and i held both dogs no problem while they had their nails done with a dremal disk and all the daycare dogs watching and being good 🤔

Amazing place for dogs and people alike. Ubath option for $25 or professional grooming available. Doggy daycare drop in for $25/day. Very friendly staff and safe place for dogs big and small. Very trustworthy. Has been in the community for +10 years. Very knowledgeable. Dogs get walked and go outside on leash to use washroom.

The owner was rude and unprofessional. She doesn’t seem to like dogs very much, or feel the need to treat customers (or their dogs) with any ounce of respect. Not sure what’s happened in her life to treat dogs and people this way, but maybe it’s time to get out of the doggy day care and grooming business. Do something that makes you happy and stop taking it out on others.

We’ve been taking our English bulldog Bluto here for a few years. He LOVES the ladies and his dog friends. He goes both for the daycare and baths. He hates when we clean his face folds or clip his nails but for some reason he is completely fine with them doing it all for him. Highly recommend this place!!

They did a great job on our anxious, special needs dog! He came back happy and smelling so good! He loved playing with the other dogs while waiting for his humans to return. We are so pleased and will be back next time our baby needs a bath!

Bill at Doggy Park Day Care is very caring, extremely reliable, knowledgeable and conscientious person. His rates are very reasonable, and he provides exceptional service. Maya and Zora comes back looking happy and Maya looks out the window at exactly his pick up time.

Ever since our first visit, my dogs have loved Doggieland and I am going to continue to use their services. The enviroment was fabulous and you can tell how much they care for the dogs. It's reassuring to know that their business has been steadily been in Chemainus for around 10 years and that they have also recently added extra security measures.

We have been able to count on Chemainus Doggieland Kennels EVERY time we need to go away (at least six weekends/year, and for week long trips). Newton, our dog, is always happy to stay at this kennel! He gets groomed there, too- always a neat job.

Our dog Ronin loves it here. He gets lots of play with other dogs.

Our dog Jet always got excellent care at Doggieland Chemainus.

Terrible service...took him in for trim and they shaved him..he looks ugly now and me just want to cry
