Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!
"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.
Kerry and Megan were wonderful sitters and took great care of our two cats while we were on vacation for two weeks. They were responsive, gave us regular updates, and seemed to really care about Tumba and Cappa. When Tumba was more timid toward the beginning of our trip and not eating her meals fully, Kerry was sure to ask for additional suggestions from us on how to coax her to eat more. Kerry and Megan also left the house just as we'd left it for them. We really appreciated them going the extra mile to ask about additional cleaning products so they could clean our bathrooms. It felt great to come home and just relax without needing to remake the bed. Thanks for everything, Kerry and Megan! We would certainly entrust our home and kitties to you again in the future.
We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.
Florence is everything you want in a cat sitter! We have two cats that need a lot of human attention. One takes multiple medications twice a day and they both are used to eating on their own schedule and having people around so it is always very important to us to find a pet sitter that will be spending a lot of time in the apartment and that doesn't mind being very attentive. We were able to meet Florence before our trip and felt 100% confident that she would take great care of our cats. Florence is comfortable giving medication, she sent us photos and updates and left our apartment spotless. We were so happy that we had her come back the following week when we went away again for a short trip! We will definitely contact Florence again whenever we travel and hope that she is available!
Oh wow! Everyone should be so lucky to have Nicholas and Veerle watch their house and pets. These lovely people are pros! They communicated early and often, were super accommodating to some last minute changes (it was originally going to be only our cats to watch but we decided to keep the dog home as well so that added to the schedule and care needs) and they left the house spotless and all set up for another sitter who came in after them. We didn’t get the chance to meet because my departure and arrival times but I dearly hope I get to in the future because they were just great! I even heard how nice they were from My neighbors who say them out walking our dog. :-) They also sent regular pictures of the pets which look like pro-photography! Cannot recommend this couple enough! Your pets and house will be in good hands!
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
Chris was a fantastic cat sitter for our elderly and high maintenance kitty. Chris was the perfect combination of responsible and on top of her medication needs while also being calm and relaxed about her picky eating habits and the need to monitor her food and medication consumption. He was prompt, easy to get a hold of, responsible, and overall, a great sitter. I would definitely recommend him and most certainly hope to have him stay with her again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $16/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Winding Lane Kennel was a blessing for us to find! We have a dog that does not play well with others, and they were willing to make accommodations for him. We are bow able to go camping and take vacations knowing our dogs are being so well cared for. Both our dogs are on supplements and medicines and I can always count on them to make sure everything is administered correctly. Our dogs get SO excited when we pull up the drive to the kennel!! We know they love it there. Very thankful for the staff there!
Friendly staff fair prices and My dog always has fun!
Don’t waste your time. If it’s not enough of a hassle to try to just get something booked with them, that’s not the last of the issues. We had to also take our lab in for a day stay to see if they would even take her for a longer stay. When I picked her up after 6 hours they told me she wasn’t very good. I asked why as we have boarded her at 3 other places including our own vet with no issues or complaints. She said my dog did good with the other dogs, ate well, went out to do her business just fine, but because she would bark in the kennel that they wouldn’t have her there. Not sure if the owner understands they are running a dog boarding service and you may have to hear barking from the DOGS that you board. As my dog came out there were 5-10 other dogs out back barking still. And on top of the whole thing we still had to pay for the day that they required us to even bring her in to “test” in the first place. At this point I’ve wasted my own time and money to have someone tell me they didn’t want to hear a dog bark at a kennel. So don’t make the same mistake and just go elsewhere.
Horrible experience!! Very unprofessional and do not know how to handle giant breeds. You'll get a phone call come pick up your dog or she will call animal control. Our daughter found our dog left outside in the heat for hours without water. Previous owners were way better at handling situations.
Great place to board your dog. Everybody is friendly and our dog seemed to love it. This was the first experience boarding our rescue but she apparently did well. We'd have no hesitation about returning.
This place is amazing. My dog can be very aggressive to other dogs or strangers and after a trial day she accepted him with open arms. He loves it there and is always excited to go. Very clean, laid back and knowledgeable staff.
We wouldn't trust anyone else with our dog! The facility is clean and the social interaction with the dogs is high. Such a great place for your pet, almost a vacation for them as well! Grooming services are wonderful as well, so great to come back to a clean, happy dog. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Employees are so nice. My dog loves it here. Very nicely kept. Makes sure all pets are current on shots so your pet is safe. Will always come back when I go out of town!
Only kennel I’ll bring my dog to. He was so nervous when i dropped him off (his first time being away from me - 6 month old bloodhound) he was very well taken care of, happy, healthy. This was his first time being away from me and he had a blast. I recommend winding lane kennels for short/long term care for your pet.
Winding Lane took excellent care of our 2 year old Bear while we were gone on vacation. We hate to be gone from him but felt comfort in knowing he was in good hands! They were very quick to respond when I had questions etc and the process of drop off and pick up went smoothly. Very welcoming and nice to have a family like environment. They were even kind enough to send me a short video of Bear playing when I checked in mid week to see how he was doing 😊 we absolutely will be using Winding Lane in the future!
