I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Cung is a diligent and communicative cat sitter and house guest, and we'd highly recommend him! We hope to have him back again soon
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Jeanne is a repeat pet sitter for us. She is wonderful and takes great care or our cats and our home. We have peace of mind when we travel knowing our kitties are under her care.
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
My partner and I left our cat Mango in Lindsey's care for a month so that we could get married. We were going from FL to ME, so it was a long way from home. We were gone for a month. Picking the right houses sitter was important. We are so glad we picked Lindsey (and she picked us). From before Lindsey got on her plan to fly down, until she was back home again Lindsey was communicative, considerate and positive. We felt like we had a family member staying at our place and because of who she is, Mango and our home's well being was a weight off our mind during the wedding. If the need arises in the future we will definitely be giving her the right of first refusal. Thank you so much Lindsey!
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Kristi was an exceptional house / pet sitter and we appreciate her being so flexible as were not sure how long our vacation was going to be. She was prompt, courteous, and even drove up the weekend before to meet with us. She took great care of our house and our dog snd cats loved her. I would highly recommended her.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?

I can’t say enough good things about Shade and the way he trains me and my dog. His knowledge is extensive he explains why he’s doing what he’s doing and tries to teach me how to do it too. I highly recommend Shade and his company to anyone who would like a well behaved dog.
Shade came over for a house visit to help with our nervous and resource-guarding husky mix, and the difference was remarkable! His understanding of dogs goes beyond just training techniques; he truly gets their emotions and needs. By the end of the session, he had her listening to him, calm, and even sorry to see him leave! We were amazed at how quickly he built trust with her and guided us with gentle, practical advice that respected her personality. It’s clear Shade has a natural gift with dogs, and we’re so grateful for his help. We put his advice into practice and have seen a great improvement!
Shade is fantastic and genuinely passionate about his work! He really gave us the kick we needed to level up our training! No nonsense and positive approach to training; Shade goes above and beyond when sharing training tips, personalizing the program to you and your dog, and ensuring you both enjoy the journey. He was patient with all my questions, even staying longer than our scheduled session to ensure I felt confident in the next steps. If you're frustrated with a reactive dog, or want some clarity on training techniques, Shade is worth every penny! 👌 would recommend.
Shade is amazing , he has some special connections with animals thats for sure. He is very easy to speak with and he explains what is going on with the thought process of the animal at the stage that they are in. It is very interesting. I had a dog previously but because the breed was very different the learning was very different. So he explained why my puppy was being so difficult. He had her wrapped around his finger in minutes. He has a lovely energy.. I will be calling on him again.
We can’t say enough positive things about the team at Shady Tree Canines. We recently adopted a new dog, who had a complete lack of manners and was unable to self regulate his behaviour. This was causing nothing but issues with our other pets and family to the point we were at wits end. Within minutes of Shade meeting our dogs and seeing the household dynamic, Shade had diagnosed the issue and set us on the right path. His greatest strength is not as a trainer, but as a doggy psychologist. He has a unique ability to pinpoint not only what a dog is thinking, but why. He doesn’t just train the dog, but trains both the owner and the dog to effectively communicate with each other. In our instance, he taught us how to recognize our dogs behaviour and language, and substitute any potential negative triggers with positive ones. This is all done via positive communication and re-enforcement between the dog and the owner. In short, Shade helped our dog turn into the loving family member he really wanted to be and helped us become better and more effective dog parents. D&S Taylor
Can’t say enough positive things about Shade and ShadyTreeCanines! We started off not being able to have anyone in our house, this big guy was just not having it, however with Shade’s help we can now have guests and introduce other people into our house. It was incredibly clear from the get go that Shade really cares for the dogs and that his training regimen is not one size fits all, really catering to what you and your dog need.
I have 4 French bulldog girls that are on breeding contracts and my step - son has a female boxer (1 yr) As you can imagine, it can be a bit chaotic! One of my frenchies is very high energy and was not getting her needs met within the pack! Shade was amazing at helping me identify some key training techniques to help her manage her energy and jealousy! We encountered some complex behavioural struggles but with consistency and patience I can honestly say that we are better equipped to handle them and live more harmoniously! The girls loved the training sessions and Shade helped me identify and strengthen my training goals. Shade is very perceptive and easy to work with! You owe it to your pack to be the best you can be!
We hired Shade to help us with our two VERY difficult huskies. We ended up doing 5 awesome sessions. He did such a amazing job! Was so knowledgeable and used great training tactics. Our dogs absolutely loved him! My partner and I also retained so much from each training session. Worth every penny! Thank you so much ShadyTreeCanines 🙏🏽!
Shade is very knowledgeable about dog training techniques and dog behaviors. Shade was understood mine and Harper Lee’s behaviors, and supported us to learn and practice new communication techniques. I am appreciative that Shade listened to what I was looking for in our training sessions and supported me to learn new techniques for the overall wellbeing and safety of Harper Lee. Thank you so much for working with us and I absolutely recommend Shady Tree Canines to anyone who wants effective and knowledgeable training sessions for owners and their dogs!
Shade is awesome! His calm approach was a big win for me, especially when our 150lb St. Bernard was barking fractions of inch from his face. He has a great knowledge base of animals which really helped me to understand our dogs reactions to different situations. His patience for our dogs and us really helped make our sessions successful. He really has a great love for dogs which is evident from the first moment we met him. Shade has giving us great techniques to use for training our dogs which has given me a great confidence. If your looking for a great trainer, I can't recommend Shade enough.
I could not recommend Mission Country Kennels more! Rich and Cindy love our dog Cleo like she's their own dog while we are away, providing the best care, and making her excited for when she goes to stay. They go above and beyond in their care, anticipating dogs needs before potential problems arise, and communicate efficiently with owners. Thank you both so much!
We have been taking our little Chihuahua Stevie to Mission Country Kennels for years now. Not only is the facility absolutely beautiful....Richard and Cindy are top notch at what they do and just truly lovely human beings. They care so much. Our girl can be a bit of a handful sometimes and they treat her with such love and respect but also keep her in line. They work magic! She always comes home happy and content. It's so nice to have that level of trust and just know that your fur baby is being taken care of in the best way possible when you have to leave them. We wouldn't leave her with anyone else. I wish I could give more then 5 stars. They are 100% All Stars!!!!
This place is spectacular!!! Our dogs love going!!! They are in such good caring hands as soon as we drop them off!!! We appreciate this place very much!!!!
We've been bringing our dog there for years. Such friendly folks that take great care of our dog and the proof is, every time I drive up the driveway to drop her off, she is wagging her tail and wimpers with excitement until I let her out of the car. We looked at other places before finding this special place. Highly recommend!
Our dog Phoebe stayed at Mission Country Kennels for an overnight trial stay. The owners Cindy and Richard were great and provided a very supportive and professional environment. They called us with a couple of updates during Phoebe's stay and showed a lot of care. We think Phoebe is better suited for at-home dog-sitting, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mission Country Kennels.
TO: Cindy & Rich, We have been boarding our schnauzers at Mission Country Kennels for about 20 years. With the shaded outdoors areas, the heated indoor areas and the constant presence of the owners I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. It's the perfect place to leave your pets when you are away from home.
We are so at ease when we drop Archie off with Rich and Cindy. Archie is always happy to see them when we do and we know he is well cared for while he’s there. It is a beautiful spot with large runs for the dogs to play.
Had a fabulous experience with Mission Country Kennels - was highly recommended by our friend, and had to put up our naughty puppy Etta for a week while away. Very professional, very easy to get a hold of, very clear on what we needed to bring and checked vaccinations. The facility is gorgeous and very well kept. Etta had a great week and I would not hesitate to board her there again.
The treated my my cat so lovely and made her feel like she was on vacation. Good prices, private quarters. I’d recommend them
We love knowing JR is safe, engaged and happy at Mission Country Kennels. Makes our time away more relaxing. Thank you Rich and Cindy.
Wonderful service, my girl looks so great when she comes home and shes happy. Highly recommend.
So thankful to have found them!
We are so blessed to have found Sherri and her dog boarding service! Sherri is an amazing person who truly loves animals and has a great passion for what she does. My two dogs are always so happy and excited when they stay with her, and I have complete peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of. It’s such a relief to have found someone so caring and dedicated. Highly recommend Sherri to anyone looking for a loving and safe place for their pets!
I highly recommend Wolf Eden Dog Boarding! I have 2 active Weimaraners and have used Wolf Eden for both overnight boarding when we go on holidays and for regular doggy daycare when I’m at work. Sheri is such a wonderful and caring person and I 100% trust her to care for my pups. I really appreciate that she sets a cap on the number of dogs she takes in, meaning more personal care and less stress for my dogs, and that she provides pup updates throughout the day.
Absolutely amazing experience with Sheri when she watched our XL doggo for 13 days. This was our pups first experience away from us and to say it went well was an understatement. Our dog had so much fun at Sheri’s property and I’m sure she felt like it was her second home. Sheri provided updates daily including pictures of our girl to make sure our minds were at ease while away. I would not hesitate to recommend Sheri to anyone with a larger dog looking for a more personalized dog boarding experience. We are customers for life 🩵 thank you for taking such good care of our girl Sheri!
Sheri took care of our Berner while we were on holidays this summer. She gave us daily updates, and accommodated to his sleeping preferences to make sure he was a happy boy. Only issue was that he didn’t want to come home when we were back! Very pleased. Thanks Sheri!
I recently boarded my senior Beagle, Maggie, @ Wolfe Eden dog boarding for a week while I was away on vacation. I was very concerned as my dog gets very upset whenever I am away and at 14 years of age I was concerned about her health and care. I need not have been. Shari looked after my dog exactly as I would have, she sent me pictures and videos daily and was truly caring about Maggie. I could not have found a better place to board her and highly recommend Wolfe Eden and Shari to anyone who wants the very best for their dog. Terry Hayman 306-20750 Duncan way, Langley BC
Wolf Eden was amazing! Our dog absolutely loved Sheri and was so happy during his stay. He got so much care and attention. I definitely recommend Wolf Eden and I will definitely be taking our dog there again.
Our family has three Pyredane pups. They are young, energetic and very big. . We would never leave them in a traditional kennel or boarding facility. So, when they were approximately 18 months old we began an extensive search from White Rock to Mission looking for the appropriate place for their “Home Away from Home.” And, very fortunately we found Shari and Wolf Eden! It is the only place we would leave our pups! Most traditional style kennels keep the dogs in very small “rooms” with very limited access to play areas. The “runs” are often dark and damp. “Exercise” times outside are often limited to 15-20 minutes approximately 4-6 times a day! Certainly not a holiday for any dog! Wolf Eden is the exception! The dogs get more personal attention and much more time outdoors than indoors. There are acres of completely secure fenced areas for all types of dogs! It is perfect for social dogs and just as good for dogs who prefer to be alone. The inside area is perfect too! Lots of room to move around and relax. Shari is marvellous! She is so comfortable and confident with all sizes and personalities and she caters to their special diets and needs! Our dogs love her. They get excited when we mention her name! In our opinion, Shari and Wolf Eden are in a class of their own! No others come even close! We are so grateful to have found this wonderful place.
Where to start on how amazing wolf eden dog boarding is!!! Sheri is a kind and loveing person who truly treats your dog as her own. My dog marlow loves her play dates and boarding has never been so easy. So much room to run around safely and indoor rooms and places to stay cool, dry and safe all night if your boarding or a great indoor place to relax after a morning of fun! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Wolf Eden Dog Boarding is the best place for you and your own fur friend!
I have just picked up my two fur babies! What fabulous care they received, from the daily photos and updates to the care and compassion of Sheri, in all of our conversations. I highly recommend Wolf Eden for anyone needing to board their fur buddies. It was a home away from home for my two.
Our pup had the best time with Sheri. It was clear he had been cared for with care and love. He had fun as well and adjusted easily to her space. Would recommend highly!!!
My dogs LOVE Maria and Hannah! Not only do my dogs love look forward each week to their group walks and private walks, but Maria is also a fantastic trainer and helped with my puppy’s cooperative care for the vet! I’ve even had the pleasure to hike alongside both Hannah and Maria, and can vouch first hand on the compassion, professionalism, positivity, and care for safety they have! (All photos from their walks!)
Maria at Elements Petcare & Training has been a part of our dog Theo's life for the last 3 years. She has been professional and kind during every interaction we have had with her. She is also extremely communicative and responsive which we really appreciate. My husband and I have nothing but great things to say about her! Theo absolutely loves going out for private walks and group hikes with both Maria and Hannah. He waits at the window every week and gets so excited when he sees one of their cars pull into the driveway. Theo is extremely reactive when my husband or I walk him but does really well during his outings with Maria and Hannah. Seeing him interact with other dogs and make furry friends has been so heartwarming. Maria has also been really helpful in giving us training tips when needed. She is extremely knowledgeable and has always given us great advice. She has also boarded Theo overnight and it was a great experience. I'd recommend Elements Pet Care & Training to all of my family and friends!
I really love Maria and her services! she is so kind to my senior dog and understands her needs and likes! She truly loves to teach and help the dog and handler team work together and learn and discover new things. I always trust that Porter is safe and happy and engaged on her adventures and I really had a great time doing training together. I also appreciate reveiving her high quality of feedback for our training and getting a unique new perspective and way of trying to overcome some issues we had during training! Verdict: I'd recommend Maria for training and dog walking/adventure services in a heartbeat 💓
Maria is an amazing Trainer. She got us our start in CARO Rally Obedience when we took our first intro to Rally class back in 2022! She can help with so many different things whether it’s foundations, working out how to solve our challenges with more complex behaviours, building engagement or even teaching my silly & sensitive terrier to stay in a heel engaged with me for 2-4 minutes on a Rally course! (Which anyone who has a terrier knows that’s not an easy task!) We used to take privates with Maria almost weekly back in 2022, as well as taking her group classes. My dog went from having his nose glued to the floor & rolling around being silly… to winning 1st place, high in class multiple times in trials over the next year! And the best part was our Rally O success was from 100% positive reinforcement, force free training! We also love when Maria is our judge at trials because my boy is comfortable with her so he can actually focus! :)
Maria is incredibly knowledgeable and helped us lot with settling in our fearful shelter dog. She still supports us through the process and it brings us incredibly confidence and peace of mind having her in our corner.
I’ve been taking Maria’s online CARO Working Class sessions with my dog and we’ve learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Maria is a fantastic and knowledgeable trainer!
Kind and Gentle and patient with both my dogs and all the other dogs in her care. Great at handling the older dog who needs some time and the nervous dog who needs quiet and calm. She's even super tolerant of my shouty rowdy younger dog who is .....an aquired taste. lol. Both my dogs love spending time with her when i'm away and have enjoyed hikes and sniffy walks with her and her crew.
My two guinea pigs stayed with Crystal for 10 days while I was away on vacation. I like that she has everything they need so all I have to bring to her are the piggies and their pellets. She also suggested bringing a personal item from home and I appreciated that recommendation and accommodation. One of my piggies has to take medication twice a day and Crystal was able to administer that with no issue. I like that Crystal has a lot of guinea pig experience so I could trust that my piggies were in great hands, that she would be able to identify any possible concerns, and that she would be able to handle any issues in a timely and professional manner. Crystal sent both photo and written updates to me so I could see that my piggies were happy, healthy, and safe while I was away. I recommend Crystal's Pet Services for guinea pig boarding and I look forward to booking my piggies with her for my next vacation.
Crystal was amazing and took such great care of my two guinea pigs while our family was away. Crystal treated our piggies like they were our own. She sent us pictures throughout our trip and gave me update on how they were doing so my kids could relax knowing their pets were well taken care of. I will absolutely send my guinea pigs to stay with Crystal on our next vacation.
Since I travel alot I wanted to make sure my bunnies had a safe and comfortable place to stay once I was gone. And Crystal made sure of that! She has bunny sat for my twice now, one was even a month long. She is great with communication and was sending pictures and updates once in a while. While my bins are with her, I have no doubt that they are getting the best care possible. Giving each of them attention with head scratches and quality time. Definitely recommended her and will be going back when I need to leave again!!
we boarded our two bunnies with crystal over a long weekend. we were super nervous because we had never boarded them before. crystal was great! she send me pictures every day, cleaned their scent glands & trimmed their nails! they didnt even come home mad (theyre always mad about something). we will defs be boarding with crystal again!!
Crystal is one of the top caregivers for bunnies. I left my 10-year-old bunny with her for 2 weeks. During our trip, Crystal sent multiple photos and updates of our bun, and we felt confident in her care. I can definitely say that we will come back to her.
Crystal looked after our little bunny Kacey while we were across Canada for my son's wedding. It was our first time leaving her and Crystal was so understanding and reassured us that we didn't need to worry. We also used Crystal for a weekend away after bonding Kacey with little Murphy. We were able to completely relax knowing the two of them were in excellent hands. Crystal was kind enough to send updates to us on how they were doing. I would highly recommend Crystal for pet care. We will certainly be passing her name on to friends and we will be using her services for our future trips. Thanks so much Crystal!!!
I highly recommend crystal! She took care of our bunny, Dante, the same way we would have. She is auch a pleasant person to talk to and the space where she has all the animals is beautiful, clean and well taken care for. Thanks Crystal, you'll for sure see us again!
We just boarded our two bunnies with Crystal over the weekend and the experience was awesome! It was our first time leaving our bunnies with anyone and Crystal was so knowledgeable and had an awesome set up for them it totally put our minds at ease. Our bunnies had a great time and adjusted very quickly. We are so thankful we found Crystal and will definitely be using her services again.
I am so blessed to find Crystal and her loving care for small animals! We left our 7 year old guinea pig Gilley with Crystal for 13 days when we went on vacation and this is the first time we have ever left him with anyone. I knew he was in good hands as soon as I met her! She is very kind and knowledgeable. His cage was all set up with his own name tag and she provided everything for him ..food and hay and her wonderful care. I really appreciated how she sent us updates and pictures of how he was doing. That really made my day! Her rates are incredible for what she provides. I am so happy to have found Crystal and her pet services. Will definitely bring my guinea pig there whenever we're away...thank you Crystal!
Crystal is Kind, knowledgable about animals and trustworthy. Our Holland Lop stayed with Crystal for 13 days. Typically when we go away our rabbit gets a little ornery for the first week back home, but when he returned home after his stay at Crystal’s he was calm and well adjusted. During our trip, Crystal sent multiple photos and updates of our Bun and we felt confident in her care. We would trust her again with our Bun.
Kim is amazing! She absolutely loves animals and takes great care of them. She is super flexible and always willing to work around our schedules as much as possible. She goes out of her way to make for the best experience possible for her clients and their animals. Our dog has been going to Kim’s for about 7 months and loves it every time. She feels right at home in Kim’s house and is well cared for and loved. We can’t recommend Kim enough!
Kim is a trustworthy person. She loves taking care of dogs and when our family go on a vacation trip we all know that our pet Rico is in good hands with her. We highly recommend Kim!
Kim is amazing, she has gone above and beyond for us in caring for our two dogs. Our youngest had a UTI and bladder stones while we were away. Kim drove her to the vet and took care of her for us. She also sends updates, videos and pictures of our dogs.
I was fortunate to find Kim at Pet Pleasers in early 2020. I have a little Boston Terrier named Ariel that is always with me. When I had to leave for a location that I could not bring her, I considered cancelling my trip. Since Kim had gone to my school years ago and I knew who she was, I contacted her and had a few discussions over FB and eventually went to her house to check it out. She has such a dog friendly home. A safe fenced back yard, double gated front entrance and she treats the dogs just like her own. I was very impressed that she also wanted to have Ariel spend a few hours at her house to make sure she got along with everyone and that she wouldn’t pose problems for other dogs. That’s so important to me that she doesn’t simply accept any dog. She makes sure that she reduces the chance of problems that can occur due to animals that may be too aggressive or cause problems for other animals. She truly does everything she can to provide a safe and fun environment for every animal she cares for. I left Ariel for a few hours to see how she did and she did great, playing with other dogs and running around freely. After that I left her for a week and was pleasantly surprised to get the occasional picture and video from Kim showing me how Ariel was doing. Although I bring Ariel’s crate along, Ariel has free roam of the house and yard all day long and most of the time she jumps on Kim’s bed at night and sleeps on the bed…just as she does at home. I can’t say enough good things about Kim and Pet Pleasers. I no longer have to worry about Ariel being constantly locked in a cage, or deal with the scams that so many other kennels have where they want to charge you $5 for a daily hug, or $10 for 5 minutes of one-on-one time, etc. Kim is open and honest and provides a friendly, loving home-like environment for the dogs she cares for. Her pricing is very reasonable with no extra charges for paying attention to your dog. She clearly loves animals and you can be sure she will treat your dogs like her own. I will never go anywhere else and I’m so glad to have found Kim at Pet Pleasers. I may miss my dog when I have to go away but I know she’s in good hands and don’t have to worry about her. You can’t go wrong with Kim of Pet Pleasers and I believe that once you try her, you will never go anywhere else either.
Kim is amazing with our dog! We always love having Kim watch our Daisy because we know she will be able to run and play and not be stuck in a kennel all day. Communication is great and Kim is very easy to work with. Thanks Kim!
Our senior bichon, Louie gets stressed at traditional boarding kennels. Kim from Pet Pleasers treated him like part of the family. It is a relief to have someone so great with dogs taking care of him in a home setting. Will continue to book here and recommend!
Pet Pleasers is truly like sleepover camp for our doggo! Kim’s care and consideration for the animals in her care is evident from the happy barks that greet you upon arrival. There is plenty of safe space for them to roam and play, and when it’s time for rest, they have their choice of several warm and comfortable beds. We’ve never boarded our dog before we met Kim, and it’s a relief to find someone who loves him as much as we do. Pet Pleasers for the win!
Kim has been great with my great dane Jaxi! She can be a nervous Nellie and Kim understand her needs and always makes sure she is comfortable. I have left her there for longer vacations and overnight stays. Jaxi is always glad to see me come back but Kim always sends me pictures and messages while I’m gone letting me know Jaxi is having a great time. Wouldn’t take her anywhere else!!
Don't like leaving our Pomeranian, Bija with anyone, but he's treated like family at Kim's place. Just like at home he's able to sleep on the bed and watch TV. By request she will send pictures and a report of how he's doing. We have total confidence that Bija gets the attention he deserves.
I am not comfortable leaving my husky just anywhere or with anyone! Kim is the only person I have ever left her with when I leave town that I feel good about. Taken care of, safe, not in a kennel or crate with small bits of "play" time. Its a healthy environment that i have no concerns for dog illness such as parvo or kennel cough. I drive 45 min to leave my girl with Kim.
Absolutely wonderful. Awesome team there, and the fur kids are well taken care of and lots of exercise throughout the day. This visit to the doggie spa one of our pup's had a little seperation anxiety attack, the team at Green Acres let us know, and what they did to ease the condition and sent pictures throughout the week and keep us updated on this, the other pup we had there was living her best life with everyone.£l Thank you to everyone one there, and it is the only place we trust with our fur kids. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that Carl and Peggy Sue were looked after and treated like royalty. Many thanks again. Skal Magnus.
One of those rare businesses where I wish I could give a 10/5 review. I have been taking my furball to Green Acres for about 3 years now whenever I am out of town. I have a wolf so she is not the kind of dog you can just take anywhere. The dog handlers have to really know dogs well to be able to gain her trust. I have taken Tiva for lengths of time up to 4 months this last trip. Every single time they treat her like family. This time I returned home and was in the 2 week quarantine and I talked to Kathy to update her and Kathy actually offered to drive Tiva form Abbotsford to Burnaby for me since I could not leave my place...FOR FREE. That blew my mind. They are such an incredible crew at Green Acres and its immediately evident that this is one of those rare companies run with a passion for what they love not simply as an avenue to make money. Thank you Kathy and your team for what you do. If you have not taken your dog here then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do....If you have taken your furchild there then you know exactly what I mean. Keep up the great work guys.
We have used Green Acres countless times and it's about time I gave them the review they deserve. Our dogs have always come back in happy shape but the best part is that they always find ways to schedule our dogs in, even last minute. We'll always use Green Acres, no question
Great facility and wonderful interactive staff. They really do care! Sometimes it’s hard to get through on the phone, but that’s because they’re interacting with the dogs and can’t hear the phone ring always, but the owner gave me her personal number as well so they were always reachable. They are also very good at calling back and will go the extra mile to send videos and pictures. I’m also pretty positive they bathed my big dig after he got dirty from play time, talk about going the extra mile.
Green Acres is amazing. They take away my anxiety of dropping off my anxious dog. Oliver could barely wait for his leash to come off to go visit with his furry friends. Janelle and Mackenzie and Kathy are great. Thanks Ladies!!
This place was good for the week that we were out of town but I would not bring my dog back. This was our first time coming here, we were told that we'd get an update about our dog but didn't get one until the night before we picked her up. We told them that our dog likes to play rough which we were told was no problem but upon picking her up they told us that they didn't let her play with other dogs the entire time she was there, just meeting other dogs through the fence which is not what we had discussed. As well when we picked her up there was a big cut on her nose and no one knew how or when it happened, it has since turned into a big scar.
This was my first time experiencing a kennel. My Groot stayed here for two weeks, he had the most excellent care. I highly recommend Kathy and her team. Thank you so much for caring for our sweet boy.
I brought my Doberman here for one week stay and he had preexisting cut in between his toes that became infected on the second day of visit. I was sent videos and pictures and updated everyday as to what care they were giving him. They soaked his foot daily and cleaned it and had their own vet administer pain medicine and antibiotics. They were extremely concerned and attentive and when I picked him up and brought him to my vet she told me that the care given was excellent and that his foot was healing nicely as a result. I’m very impressed with the service considering the situation required so much extra work on their part. Speaking with Kathy and Jody throughout the process it is very obvious they are dog people and care about them like they are their own. Thank you. I appreciate what you did for Zeus and will see you again sometime in the future.
My dog loves the ladies at Green Acres. Ample room for all sizes of dogs and clean. Cathy and Olivia are very loving and my dog was happy when I went to pick him up. They took care of his special diet and meds with no hesitation. Of course he came home dirty but that was because it was wet spring and he was outside playing with all his fur buddies.
My big boy loves it here. He has dog friends to play with and the staff are amazing. He is always excited to go to Green Acres. I know he is in good hands while I am away.
