Patty is a fantastic house and pet sitter. She was proactive, in contact just the right amount, and very positive. She love up our cat and he loved her care and company. She is reliable and kind. I highly recommend Patty!

I have been unsure what rating to give Kristiane. There were a few things I was upset about, but while considering her other reviews, it seems to be an anomaly. She mostly apologized and took responsibility for things she did wrong. She provided good pet care and seemed to enjoy her stay here. I couldn't quite tell if the missteps were her normal character, or if it was because she was going through a hectic period in life. TLDR: She disappointed me at the beginning of the trip, but her pet care was good. She scared me that she gave the pill to the wrong cat. I returned to a dirty home, including literal broken glass, but she went above and beyond in other areas. I'll start by saying we had a pleasant video call and were in fairly constant communication for about a week before my trip. She contacted me probably every day, asking for various details, usually with long voice memos. She appeared to be a good & thorough communicator. I had shifted my departure to the night before instead of the morning of and had explained that my cats would be ok alone overnight, but my cat Willow gets a pill every morning and I would love for her to get her pill ASAP. Kristiane had said she could get there around noon the morning of, which I was fine with. I had said that noon would be pushing it pill-wise, but as long as it isn't much later, that is ok. Because I received constant communication with her leading up to the start of the trip, I was shocked when I didn't hear from her at all the day the sit began, even a "on my way" text. I tried texting and calling her to no avail. I was getting worried that something had happened and I had no way of finding out. At this point, I started to panic a bit because my cat needs her medication. I contacted zeewoi support asking for help. I heard from Kristiane around 2pm. She had chalked it up to having a very busy/hectic morning and said she still had about 2 hours left on her drive (so, 4 hours later than she originally said). I ended up getting a Rover sitter to check in on my cats, feed them, and pill Willow ASAP, which Kristiane offered to reimburse me for. I was thankful she reimbursed me but was confused about how there was so much miscommunication when I thought I had clear expectations. I try to be clear with my expectations of my sitters while still being flexible for normal life mishaps. I would have been less upset if she had notified me of her real ETA when she left (it was about a 4-hour drive) instead of leaving me in the dark. It was not responsible or reliable. Once she arrives, my anxiety is lessened. Things seem to be going well. The next morning, however, she tells me she gave Cherry a pill. Cherry does not get a pill, only Willow does. I have this explicitly stated in multiple places, including my printed-out instructions and the pill bottle itself. Turns out, she got the cats' names wrong. She pilled the correct cat, somehow. Kristiane is an overcommunicator. She sent me several voice memos every morning, sometimes totaling about 10 minutes long. While I appreciate daily updates and don't mind chatting here and there, I am on vacation, and it became annoying to have to leave my friends to listen to the memos. A balance needs to be found. I returned to a dirty home. I spent the first 2 hours after arriving deep-cleaning everything. She broke a glass while she was here (which I ultimately don't care about materialistically) and did not clean it up well. I found about 10 large chunks of glass within reach of my cats. I found out about this mess because my cat was literally playing with a chunk of glass. Every surface Kristiane touched was dirty, smudged, or sticky. There were so many drips and spills and stains, that I was confused about how she managed to make such a mess. However, the litter was done perfectly. All the dishes were washed. Trash was taken out. She did ALL my laundry, including the bedspread (which I don't ask sitters to do). She left me small gifts of tea, chocolate, and ice cream. All of this is to say that it seems her heart is in the right place, but she may need some help with following through. I am wondering if her past 5 star reviews were because she used to sit with her former partner. Maybe that person was the "cleaner" of the two. She was solo this time, apart from a friend visiting and staying with her for one night. I hope my thorough review is good feedback for Kristiane so she can become a better sitter. I feel bad about leaving a complaining review, but I know it is important to have honesty in these reviews so we can all learn for the future.

Sandra was very experienced and took good care of our dog Stella. Unfortunately, we found that our communication styles did not really mesh. Weeks before the sit, if we did not reply to Sandra instantly she got rather frantic and seemed overly anxious about the details of the sit. We always want our house sitters to feel comfortable and know what they are walking into, but it was a bit difficult to manage the level of communication Sandra required in advance of her stay. During the stay, our emergency contact was also contacted for a simple question about a light switch, just hours after we had texted Sandra to check in and ask if she had any questions. Besides this, we are grateful for her help and our dog seemed to enjoy her time with Sandra.

We can’t recommend Rayna highly enough! She has cared for our two cats on three occasions, and each time, she’s gone above and beyond. Rayna isn’t just a housesitter; she’s become part of our family. During her most recent two-month stay, we had a family emergency when one of our adult children was in a bike accident and couldn’t reach anyone. Rayna immediately stepped in, rushed to her aid, and stayed with her at the hospital until her husband arrived. When we decided to extend our trip, Rayna wasn’t able to stay longer, but she still helped us by introducing our new sitter to the cats and making sure they were comfortable before she left. Rayna’s care and thoughtfulness are unmatched, and we can’t wait for her to come back!

Fiona took excellent care of all four of our animals. She sent us pictures regularly and was communicative with us both before the sit and throughout the week that she house sat for us. The house was very clean when we got back and all the animals were happy. I highly recommend Fiona.

Dany was a kind, thoughtful communicator and was very quick and clear in his messages with us. Our cat warmed up to him quickly and he followed our instructions closely. Would definitely recommend!

Ciara says she specializes in longer Sits, and this one was almost two months. She is a cat guru and took good care of Emmylou — who was glad to see me when I got home, but was not obviously stressed by my absence. Ciara is systematic, self contained, and self sufficient. For instance she solved her own WiFi issues without needlessly involving me. I supplied cleaning services every two weeks. I was happy with the job that Ciara did for me and Emmylou.

We are thankful to Kevin for the very good care brought to our beloved cat and to our house during his long stay (1 month). We had the pleasure to meet with Kevin face to face before leaving for our trip and it reinforced our choice and opinion we could leave in full trust. The communication between us before and during Kevin’s stay was great. Kevin regularly sent pictures, short videos of our cat and messages. We would love having him stay again in the future!

Jesse was amazing with Azul, very caring, loving and patient with her. She did an excellent job taking care of her and the house, we hope she comes back sometime!

Daniel was really nice and took great care of my babies. He gave me updates throughout the sit and made me feel at ease knowing he was taking care of my kittens. Would love to host you again.

Elizabeth was fantastic and we would absolutely have her again. She is a great communicator, checked with us if she wasn't sure, took good care of Lulu, and was overall wonderful.

Elle s'est montrée très attentive à mes attentes et a posé de bonnes questions pour s'assurer de bien comprendre le fonctionnement à la maison. J'aurais aimé recevoir plus de nouvelles de Anne et Boris lors de mon absence. Je vais m'assurer que cet aspect soit plus clair lors de mon prochain gardiennage. La maison était super propre... au delà même de mes attentes !. Elise m'a même laissé des fraises fraiches et du chocolat pour mon retour. Quelle douce pensée ! Pour toutes ces raisons, je recommende chaudement Elise ! --------------------------------------- Everything was perfect with Elise! As soon as she entered the house, I felt her interest and gentleness towards Anna and Boris. She was very attentive to my expectations and asked good questions to make sure she understood how the house worked. I would have liked to receive more news from Anne and Boris during my absence. I will make sure that this aspect is clearer during my next house-sitting. The house was super clean... beyond my expectations! Elise even left me fresh strawberries and chocolate for my return. What a sweet thought! For all these reasons, I highly recommend Elise!

Bob and Judy were a delight and very caring toward our pets. We had no concerns with them and absolutely loved the communication and pictures sent. The house was well taken care of and very clean. We would absolutely love to have Bob and Judy sit for us again and hopefully you are lucky enough to have them accept a sit for you.

Bri was amazing and super reliable! Teffy had a great time with her and my apartment was really taken care of! She is so wonderful ☺️

Claire was the best! She took great care of our pups and house, communication was great and we felt totally confident that she could handle our three dogs, one of which has some stranger danger/aggression issues. She even flew out a day early so she could come meet him before we left. Happy to recommend her!

Steph and Sean are amazing sitters and guests! Our pets are happy and cared for. Our home is tidier than when we leave. They are communicative, flexible, gracious, and kind. They handle unexpected situations responsibly. We love having them sit and look forward to many more sits in the future!

It was a real pleasure to have Angela housesit for us recently. She is a well experience sitter and we felt extremely happy leaving our dog (and a greenhouse full of pots that needed looking after too)! She sent us daily updates with photos and left everything very clean and tidy, and our dog was obviously very content. It was great to get to know her a bit before we left and we enjoyed her company in the house.The communication beforehand was easy and she was very amenable re dates etc. We'd love to have her back sometime!

Shannon was fabulous! An excellent communicator, took great care of our boys, and we came home to a spotless house. Would love to have her sit again sometime, and would absolutely recommend!

Our girls loved Donna! Donna was great with the girls while we were gone. She let us know everyday that they were doing well and house was just as clean as when we left.
