I have taken my many dogs to the Happy Spot over the years, and travel over an hour to make sure they are getting this top notch care. While currently down to just one dog, he is a BIG guy and needs lots of room to stretch and play. Pam, Julie, Jen and team always make sure he is well taken care of and I am at complete ease that Major is safe and happy. So appreciate the invaluable service of quality pet care at Happy Spot.

We were happily surprised. We traveled from out of state but was recommended by our Hotel. Our fur baby Whiskey enjoyed his day there. Pam was very helpful. We even received photos of our little guy having a good time. We highly recommend.

If you love your pet, please do not go to this facility. This was a one and done for my spouse and I. Originally booked over the phone and they booked the wrong dates. We were told pick up time would be 12:30. The day of pick up, we received a text at 9:55 AM stating that we had 5 minutes to get there or we would not get her until the evening. We got there at 10:05 after driving 2 hours and 20 minutes to ensure we’d be there at 12:30. We told them that we had arrived and were told that 12:30 was the pickup time and that we’d like to take her home. They refused to give her to us and told us we would have to come back at 6 PM and they did not apologize for their error and lack of communication regarding the pick up time! This place lies about feeding your animal. We did a late drop off and early pick up, so I portioned out 4 meals for our dog and they told me they fed her 6 times. She had enough food left for one more feeding, so they skipped a mealtime and told me they fed her an extra 3 times! With what food?! I also signed a contract that we wanted 3 play times a day and they only provided her with 1 playtime a day for 3 days. This place is not trustworthy and we will NEVER board here again.

The people are very friendly but I recommend you save your money and not get the bath and de-shedding. Dogs ears were dirty, hair matted under ears and took me almost and hour with a shed blade and furminator. To get a pile of hair larger than my dog off of him. Total waste of my time taking him there and still had to end up doing it myself. However, can not comment on them as boarding only on grooming.

Had an awesome experience boarding our dog and cat here for a week while on vacation. Showed drop off and pickup were both very smooth, just be mindful of their hours ahead of time!

I wasn't in a hurry to get home after a fun camping trip to TN plus I had been wanting to visit the Ark Encounter in Kentucky with my kiddos... but I also had my fur babies and not able to take them to the Ark attraction. I researched the area and was surprised that there's multiple pet boarding places. I won't drop off my Kimber and Bella just anywhere- I found Happy Spot Pet Resort in my quest for dog care and with their excellent reviews, great services like a bath, nail trim and dog care photos at affordable prices I chose this place; no regrets. I would bring my fur babies here again.

Luca has been taking weekends and 2 week vacations with HAPPY SPOT since he was 9 weeks old. All I have to say is Happy Spot and he knows where he is going and gets extremely excited. I have complete confidence and trust in everyone at Happy Spot for their commitment in loving, caring and professionalism with him. I would only recommend Happy Spot.

My boyfriend and I went out of town for the night and we took our 6 month old German shepherd puppy here! The staff was so nice and just loved him! Very reasonably priced. We also added a bath and nail trim. They did great! :)

I am so grateful to have found Happy Spot Pet Resort. I often work long hours and each week they check in with me to see what days a home-visit is needed. About halfway through my work day they come to my house and visit my 90 pound lab for thirty minutes. Sometimes they spend the time playing in the back yard, sometimes they play and then go on a walk. Before they leave each time they always make sure his water bowl is filled up and he's comfortable. I have a Ring camera on my front door, so I can see they always stay at least for the designated time and often a few minutes extra. My pup loves their visits and it provides me with so much comfort to know he's well taken care of while I'm at work. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they are all so patient and kind with my boy. Thank you so much to Julie and her incredible staff!

Julie and her team took great care of our dog for his weekend stay. They sent pictures of him playing to ease our mind while we were away. We felt confident in his care and he is looking forward to his next visit!

We’ve been trusting Julie for 3 years now and she always takes great care of our puppy. Her place is kennel free, so we never have to worry about our puppy being locked in a kennel all day. The recreation area for the puppies in the backyard is amazing. There is TONS of space for them to have fun. A HUGE plus is Julie takes the time to send pictures of our puppy to us daily while we are away. The pictures always look like our puppy is having an amazing time. She’s literally on vacation at Julie’s, so we don’t have to feel guilty about leaving her here. Check out Julie and Wagging Tails if you’re thinking about boarding your pup. I’ve been utilizing the overnight pet sitting services with Julie/Wagging Tails Pet Sitting for the last 8 years. My coonhound Caesar loves going there! All I have to say is “do you want to go to Julie’s?” and he gets all excited! Julie takes great care of him and texts me pictures daily of Caesar while I’m on vacation or out of town. I feel fortunate to have someone I “trust” to take care of Caesar while I’m away. I don’t feel bad leaving Caesar with her because he loves it there!

I LOVE Wagging Tails boarding and Petsitting! I’ve take all three dogs over the last 12 years to them. Their in home care, no cage service is always the best for my fur babies. No matter the needs of the individual I can be assured that each need is met. AND my babies always have the best time with their buddies. Highly recommend this business.

We've boarded our dog with Waggingtailslex for several years and couldn't be happier. There is never an adjustment period once we pick him up and bring him home, which is usually 4-10 nights when we travel without him. That is huge and tells us the environment is like our own home, but with dog friends! We enjoy seeing photos of him throughout his stay. It's always a comfort to us knowing he is in the best hands!

I am so thankful for finding Wagging Tails. I have a puppy and was looking for something different than a kennel environment. My dog Cricket loves this place and on a recent trip I didn't worry myself sick about how he was doing. The daily photos are great as well!

I’ve been taking our dog to Julie for quite awhile. Both love(d) it. We lost our last dog last July and he went there every time we went out of town. Our new sweetie has been to Julie 1st for a few days of day care so she’d be acclimated when we were leaving her for a week. She had lots of friends to play with and based on the pics and Julie’s comments, she had a great time! I highly recommend Wagging Tails.

We wouldn't trust anyone else with our 3 dogs. Julie loves our dogs like her own and has been with them since they were all puppies. No crates (unless you want that) and tons of play time and snuggles with daily photos. We know our dogs are in the best hands when they are with Julie. We hit the jackpot with Wagging Tails!!

I've boarded my dogs with Julie, the owner, since 2017 and would not board my dogs anywhere else. My dogs attend daycare with her about once a week. Julie is caring, compassionate, and honest. One of my dogs became blind from an autoimmune disease shortly after I adopted him and she continues to give him the best care even though he requires special food and multiple medications each day. She lets me know if he gets sick or has a cut or scratch. I appreciate her honesty and integrity. She limits the number of dogs she takes and has a wonderful backyard with a divide in it so that the more rambunctious dogs can play separately from those less playful.

Murphy always has the best time! Julie takes care of my baby like he is her own. I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else. Thank you for taking such good care of Murphy!

So glad to have finally found K9 for our dogs! We love that they get to actually run and play outside with other dogs - unlike most day care/boarding facilities. We have a very high energy 2 year old labradoodle who comes home exhausted after every stay (which takes a lot)! Martha is very friendly and makes pick up/drop offs very simple and convenient.

Absolutly the best place to board!!! Both of my dogs have stayed at K9 safari numerous times and every time I pull up they get really excited. Marlize plays with them and ensures they get to run around and wear themselves out. She sends me daily text messages with photos of them playing and enjoying themseleves. My dogs go to K9 safarie everytime I have a trip I cant take them on. Marlize also works very hard to accomidate my upredictable work schedule when I am dropping off and picking up. 5 Stars!!!

We had to find a place last minute for our two dogs. Had good reviews and pricing was reasonable. They have lots of room and a nice setup. However they rushed us through the drop off process and didnt really show us where the dogs would be sleeping or eating. They did send photos while we were out of time. Again, the negative that really got to us was that when we were close to the pick up time they tried to overcharge, pestered us to pick them up early but for the same price as if they stayed the whole time and when we picked them up they rushed us again. We got our dogs and one had a clump of fur missing and multiple scratches and sores. The other dog was more aggressive and then had problems eating. They basically lied and made up a reason for the injuries. Their legal agreement is pretty solid so we couldn't do anything about it. Do not use this place if you love your dog

After taking our dog to K9 Safari once we have never gone to another sitter. Marlize has a large fenced in yard and sends daily pics of the dogs playing. This is the perfect spot for your dog if they are high energy and get along well with others.

Love the freedom the pups get while there at her open outdoor and indoor spaces. Maddie loves the playtime!

Pure joy for my dog, Archie. She sends pictures to show how they are doing every day. My Aussie who is never worn out, slept for a full 24 hours when I picked him up. That place is amazing!

We have been using K9 Safari for about two years for boarding our two dogs. Martha is great about keeping us updated on how the "kids" are doing and sending pictures almost every day. The dogs really seem to enjoy their stays and we are happy that they have such a great fenced in area in which to run and play. We are very happy with our experiences so far!

We needed arrangements for our puppy for one week and we were able to find K9 last minute. They were so kind and accommodated our last reservation. We got pictures every morning of our puppy playing and running her heart out. She seemed a little disappointed to leave. She loved it so much we’re going to use K9 moving forward for all of our trips and I’m considering their doggy daycare. Loved this place! Use them if you’re needing doggy boarding.

This is the first time we have left our six month old puppy. We chose this place because our dog, Ziggy, doesn't like being crated. He has tons of puppy energy and loves playing with other dogs. Marlize was wonderful. She responded to text messages quickly and sent pictures of our boy each day. We loved seeing that he was able to run and play with other dogs! We will definitely use her again!

The Critter Sitters are amazing! I first used their services in 2010 and have continued to use them to care for my dogs when out of town or if we aren’t able to give mid-day breaks to our pups. Recently, I ran into an emergency and had to call them to have someone come unplanned to care for my dogs. They were here as quick as possible for a visit. They are very reliable. Their loving updates are very cute and entertaining. They send pictures with every update. The pictures are amazing to the point I think they are secretly dog photogs. I trust them completely to come into my home and care for my dogs while we are away. I never have to worry about my dogs which allows me to enjoy time vacation. Our boys love every sitter that has visited. I cannot say enough good things about them. I spread word of mouth to anyone that will listen so now I'm taking my praise to the internet!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this company! We left our 3 dogs and 2 cats at home in their care during our last 7 day vacation and we couldn’t have been happier! The animals uninterrupted daily routine and comforts of home gave us peace of mind and with their pet report and photos with every visit we hardly missed them while we were gone. And I’m not sure they missed us at all lol.

I absolutely recommend Critter Sitters and I can't thank them enough for the level of care they took for our babies while we were out of town! I got updates with every visit that included pictures. I have three cats who are a handful and they did so well with them. I was honestly worried the cats would be upset that we came back 😅. THE BEST BOARDING EVER. I had been looking for non-kennel boarding for my two dogs Ridley and Murphy. Murphy has separation anxiety and doesn’t do well in an enclosed space. I found K9 Safari and was so excited I emailed her right away. She got back to me quickly the same day and we set up a “trial” sleepover the next week. Drop off was very easy and my dogs were so excited they didn’t even look back at me as I drove away. She sent picture updates of them and she let me know how they were doing throughout their stay. Pick up was just as easy as drop off, both of them were so happy (and a little sad to leave). I knew they had the best time and were well taken care of. I will never be boarding them anywhere else. ☺️

We have used K9 Safari twice so far and Marlize was wonderful with our dog Winston! We wanted a place that was kennel free and this was perfect. We received pictures daily of Winston playing outside with all the other dogs. We had a tired and happy puppy once we returned home from our vacation. We will definitely be using her service again. Very reasonably priced and accommodating. I would highly recommend her service!

K9 Safari is the absolute best. My dog Beans stays multiple times a year due to my work schedule and also attends weekly doggy daycare. His excitement when we arrive speaks for itself - he absolutely loves going and it gives me such peace of mind to know he's safe and enjoying himself. K9 Safari is a real gift in our lives as we travel often and for long periods of time to Europe. Our two standard poodles are in excellent care with Martha (Marlize) as she has a vet tech background and a wonderful non-kennel facility. The dogs run and play all day every day under the trees and then sleep in Martha's house. No screened in runs. Just fun and fresh air and play. We highly recommend K9 Safari and wouldn't dream of leaving our dogs anywhere else.

K9 Safari is the only place that I trust to leave my fur-babies with. Marlize was very friendly, I recieved photos of them playing with other dogs daily. It is great that they get to socialize with other dogs and be in a kennel-free environment. My dogs looked so happy in all of the photos I received from K9 Safari. It looked like they were having a better vacation than I was haha. K9 Safari made my vacation stress free & I knew my babies were in good hands. They came home happy, healthy, and tired 🤣

This is the ultimate vacation for your dog while YOU are on vacation! It's like playing at the dog park every day! Kennel free boarding means your dog will be happy and well cared for and can run and play just like he/she's at your own home. Marlize is the person in charge and she sent me pictures every other day to show me how happy my dog, Ruby, was. It means you don't have to worry so you can enjoy what you are doing while your dog is enjoying what it is doing. When I picked up Ruby, she had a big smile on her face and you can tell she had a great time. This is a wonderful place to board your precious pet and I will be returning soon!

K9 Safari is a home away from home for my dog Oakley. I get pictures daily and have never seen Oakley so happy. Marlize takes such care of the dogs and allows them to be dogs and enjoy being outside and not in a kennel all day which I and Oakley love since he is sometimes there for a couple of weeks each time. When Oakley sees her he is so excited and dogs are like children they won’t hide how they feel. I would highly recommend this business.

I took both my dogs to K9 safari for a weeks stay while we went on vacation. Upon dropping them off I felt like the outside area smelled strongly of dog urine but thought maybe it was my sense of smell because I’m pregnant so I didn’t say anything. She was good about sending photos most days although I have no clue if they were new photos or photos taken all on one day and sent on different days. When I picked my dogs up and when I dropped them she wanted me to text when I was 30 min away, when I got to the exit and when I arrived at her house. Upon picking them up they met me at the vehicle. They had brought one of my dogs with the wrong leash and harness which wasn’t a big deal and they exchanged it out for the correct one. They didn’t return their food so I called her and asked if they had any left. At first she said no, then she asked if their food had been in a ziplock. I identified how their food was brought and she confirmed they did have food left and brought out what I’m pretty sure was the exact amount of food they came with. After getting home I realized quickly that one of my dogs had an eye infection in both eyes that required medication. My other dog had a very large abscess develop on his neck that required lancing to drain, antibiotics and laser treatment to heal. I spent over $500 on vet bills from issues that occurred to my dogs while in her care and she never mentioned any issues. While both issues may have been unavoidable because of the other dogs at the resort I feel like these are things she should have noticed and told me about. Both of my dogs acted very different for the first week or so home like they were scared which is not like them. I would not take my dogs here again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Found K9 online; the process of making a reservation is easy and quick. Left my dogs 3 nights / 4 days. I was sent multiple photos each day which I really appreciate. It always hard to leave your pets with someone so seeing that my dogs were having fun was really nice. However, when I picked my dogs up, all of them were sick with Kennel Cough. They hadn't been boarded for almost 2 years; they don't go to dog parks and because they are ridiculous to walk, they basically go in and out of the fenced back yard. So, I was quite surprised and taken back when all 3 of them ended up sick. Although the cost to board is reasonable, the vet bill and medications was that of the stay. I have no idea how they contracted kennel cough, but they did.

I love uptown hound because with their package we can get updates and pictures of our boy while we are on vacation or on a weekend getaway! The staff is very hands on from the time you walk through! Very happy with our fur baby stay with them! Will be coming back!

I love Uptown Hounds that care and know the dogs by their name. Anytime they groom i always get pictures. I love the fact there is on-site vet in case of emergencies. My pup Enzo loves going to Daycare

My Dog Henry has been to a few doggy day cares and this one surpasses all of them. There seems to be plenty for dogs to do, and the staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to capture every happy moment that my dog has at the day care. I don’t write many reviews so this would speak highly of how far I’m willing to write a review. Will definitely come back here and be sure to reference me as a referral on your first visit

My sweet FiFi was beautiful and happy after her groom day. She was not nervous or anxious but glad to see me and show off! I even found some unique fur-baby Christmas gifts. Uptown Hound has some Uptown sweet and professional staff. Great experience!

After a disappointing experience at another doggy daycare a friend encouraged me to try Uptown where her dog goes to daycare. I am SO glad we did! My Frenchie had the BEST time and ran to the door the following day to go back inside to play with his new friends. Facility is clean and everyone who works there seems to really enjoy dogs! We are so excited to have found such a great place 💗

Boarded my 2 fur babies during week of Spring break, they did an amazing job taking care of them. Will board with them again in the future.. Couldn’t ask for a better staff to take care of my baby considering my last experience with a previous groomer really didn’t want to trust anyone else but this staff is genuine and takes great pride in their work. The best in town at a reasonable price. I would give them six stars if I could. My dog loves all the girls! I have been taking her there for boarding since she was a little over six weeks old for boarding, and for several years for grooming. The girls even paint her nails for me! She is now over 11 years old. She used to not want to go to the door when I took her there, but now when we get out of the car, she goes straight to the door. She will even go back to the kennel she usually stays in when I have to to board her. I used to take my cat there for boarding sometimes too. If you take your pets there for grooming and boarding, you won’t want to take them anywhere else. Ellen, and the girls treat all the animals just like they would if they were theirs. Our pet sitter fell through last minute, so we brought them on our trip. We had to put them in puppy daycare for a couple of days here. I'm so glad we found this place. Puppies were well cared for they were bathed the first day and smelled so good. I have used daycares before, and my dogs smelled bad when I got them back, but this place was very clean and friendly.

This is the best boarding and grooming place I have ever taken my yorkie. They are awesome.

Very great with my 2 pit bulls I take there quite often. My dogs dont seem to mind either, their waggin tails sons I pull in the gravel drive they know. Great people, and all very nice. Will continue to to make waggin tails my dogs outing for a couple days each month. They love it...

Not sure why so many of these reviews are 5 stars. As of this week, we have now had FOUR family dogs physically injured by this establishment. Whoever is doing the grooming needs to learn how to use a guard on their electric razor and how to properly trim a dog's paw. In 2019 two of my family's dogs were nicked by an electric razor, in multiple places, bad enough to have to go to the vet, and most recently a different set of our dogs were shaved to the skin so close it left razor burns. But the worst injury that has occurred so far is on our older shih tzu. She was excessively licking her paws when we got her home and walking funny, and we discovered that the groomer has taken an unguarded electric razor and stuck it in between her paw pads, leaving her skin extremely raw and a thin layer shaved off in some places. This is unacceptable and clearly becoming a trend. None of my family or extended family will be back, and I would highly recommend finding a groomer who knows what they are doing instead of taking your babies to this establishment.

I have had the pleaser of dealing with them yet. Other then an introduction. I'll say this they do a heck of a job in making great first impressions and if that's how they are all the time I look forward to doing business with them for a long time.

Very compationate toward my family baby , ( my dog ) . she would get him out and love on him . ( he needed that ) . I have no problems leaving him in the future , the only place I would feel comfortable in doing so .

Bad service they groomed my dog bare to skin had busted nose! Had to get dog to vet for skin infection not recommended at all.

These folks saved our vacation! Our 'pet frienfly' hotel would not allow dog to stay unattended regardless of behavior, which severely restricted which tourist activities we could do. Was impressed from start - call answered, reservation made. Was flexible on keeping our 11 lb bordoodle in kennel or group play or mix of both. Drop off next morning lobby was clean, staff friendly, on check in only had to confirm vaccination status and sign standard disclaimer forms - easy! Also they have live camera in play area you can access on line! Day 2 we walked in and staff greeting our dog by name....he pranced right over and didn't go look back - that spoke volumes!! Highly recommend!

Over the past year, I’ve regularly taken my dog, who is very energetic, to a daycare at least once a week. Initially, we noticed he would come home extremely thirsty, and after mentioning this to the staff, the situation seemed to improve. However, more recently, I’ve encountered significant issues. My dog has been coming home with wood chips in his stomach, leading to constipation and vomiting, which I brought to the staff’s attention. They informed me that several dogs have been chewing on the posts at the daycare. My dog has never displayed this behavior at dog parks or in our backyard, so I don’t believe this is a behavior issue on his part. Unfortunately, this situation escalated to the point where my dog developed a swollen saliva gland, resulting in a $400 vet bill. I was told that a splinter from one of the posts caused this injury, and it took nearly three weeks for him to heal. My dog is very social and has never had problems interacting with other dogs at parks or allowing other dogs to drink from the same water bowl. Being a lab, he loves to play in water bowls, which I suspect the daycare staff didn’t appreciate. While he has since been accepted at another daycare where he is thriving, I can’t help but wish our experience with the previous daycare had been more positive. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us.

We take our cat Georgie here when we go on vacation and it puts me at ease knowing that he isn’t going to be alone/ unsupervised. He makes so many kitty friends! I do believe he thinks it’s his home away from home, he settles in nicely. The girls are so kind and fun to chat with, and I absolutely love that I can see him on the kitty cam. Thank you so much for taking care of our baby!

I highly recommend Central Kentucky Pet Resort. I take my blue heeler there for daycare when I am in the area. She loves it and is always eager to go back! You can tell the team at the resort loves what they do, and they take great care of my girl!

Asked over the phone when booking if my puppy would be allowed to play with other dogs if we left him there while on vacation. Was told by the man on the phone that he could be tested for an extra charge and if he passed, he would be allowed no problem. Considering we were already paying near $500 for his 7 day stay, the extra $30 is no problem to try and ensure our puppy is comfortable on his first extended stay without us. I requested that he be tested, to which the man said no problem and that it could be done, so I agreed to utilize their services. After returning from our trip, we arrived to pick our puppy up promptly at 7am. As soon as I enter the business, the man working the front desk (who I assume also booked me initially over the phone) says, “Next time, I highly suggest allowing him to play with other dogs.” Assuming he had been tested as we agreed upon when booking, I let them know that we did request him being tested and asked if he had failed to pass? The man said that generally all puppys pass, so why do I need to pay you $30 extra to test him if you have so much confidence he would pass? Why did you not notate the request when you booked me to be sure my puppy was taken care of? Not to mention, the man was very smug and happy to make fun of my puppy for whining a lot over his stay. Maybe if you did your job and paid attention to taking care of your customers, he would’ve been better, but instead my dog got to sit inside a concrete cell for a week to be made fun of by the owner. We booked the deluxe suite so we could have camera access as well. We left our dog 3 toys and a blanket he loves from home to try and make him as comfortable as possible. After day 2 of his week long stay, his blanket was removed by the company, and never given back to our dog. He was left with no blanket to sleep on an empty cot for 5 days. Did you use my dogs blanket for other dogs? What did you do with it? Why is my dog not allowed to have a blanket that WE BROUGHT for him? Does $500 not cover the laundry if he was to have an accident? He’s a puppy. Vet attention and check ins are also mentioned, I’d love to see how those go because our dog came home sick with no mention from this company. Did they forget to check on my dog or are you just liars? I wish I could give this business 0 stars. I couldn’t recommend enough looking elsewhere . If you’re interested in paying $500 for someone to just feed and water your pet, take away his belongings that I left with him, and then be made fun of, this is your place. Look through your records and give me a call please.

Love the staff here! Took my cat Marvin to stay 10 days while we went on vacation. Pricing is very great! Everyone one Took wonderful care of Marvin and he even made a few kitty friends! He had his own very large enclosure to stay in and he got let out to play with the other cats in the their room! Love, love, love this place! Will forever bring Marvin back to stay with them when we go on trips!

We asked over the phone if our puppy was going to be able to play with other puppies while he was being boarded. They said they could test him and if he passed, then he would get a lot of play time with other pups. So we let him know we definitely wanted to pay the money for that. We were keeping up with him on the video camera throughout our vacation and noticed he was often in the kennel. When we picked him up, the first thing the man at the counter said was “we highly suggest letting him play with other dogs next time”. We responded “we requested that he be tested when we spoke over the phone with you. Did he not pass?” He let us know that all puppies pass for the most part, and that they just never tested him. After the confrontation, instead of apologizing, he requested payment. Our puppy was kept in a room for 7 days with no social interaction with other dogs.

Have had our Lincoln be a guest of there's many of times and he seems to like it. I don't talk dog talk cause if I did I would be in a different profession.But he seems happy, They tire out pups and being able to look in on him is great. The Staff is very friendly and caring for our pup. Also being able to have him bathed and nails clipped are the best.

My guy always has the best time here. He always gets the deluxe kennel so I can watch him on camera while I'm away. Reasonably priced, compared to other kennels in the surrounding area. The environment is always clean and the staff are always friendly.

My little dog was well taken care of. I will use CKP Resort for her boarding in the future.
