Cung was a wonderful cat sitter and housesitter and we would happily invite him back again. He was excellent with our cats and sent plenty of photos, and also left the house impeccably clean. We had to come back a day early and so we got to spend some time with him which we enjoyed as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Anna was an excellent sitter - she took great care to understand all of the intricacies of taking care of the house and cats, asked lots of questions, and arrived on time and ready for the sit. During the trip, she checked in with updates, and upon returning home, left the space tidy and clean. The cats were happy and healthy, and seemed to have had a great time during the sit. Thanks Anna!
I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Wow! Just wow! We cannot say enough about the care and compassion Trisha and John provided to our cats and our home. We are always somewhat nervous about a new pet sitter in our home, but that all faded when we met this wonderful couple. They provided daily updates as requested, complete with pictures, videos and personalized captions. Upon our return, we were greeted by happy and content kitties. There was no sign of anxiety in Tika! Yea!!! Our home was clean, the sheets and towels were washed and bed remade! They even left behind thank you notes and little gifts! What a breath of fresh air these two individuals are! We hope to have them back again soon.
My partner and I left our cat Mango in Lindsey's care for a month so that we could get married. We were going from FL to ME, so it was a long way from home. We were gone for a month. Picking the right houses sitter was important. We are so glad we picked Lindsey (and she picked us). From before Lindsey got on her plan to fly down, until she was back home again Lindsey was communicative, considerate and positive. We felt like we had a family member staying at our place and because of who she is, Mango and our home's well being was a weight off our mind during the wedding. If the need arises in the future we will definitely be giving her the right of first refusal. Thank you so much Lindsey!
Toby and Chloe were one of the best house sitters we have ever had! As a small animal vet I have seen many types of pet sitters and these guys are top notch. Our pets are not easy either. We have special needs dogs, cats on medication, dogs with behavioral issues, horses, chickens, goats and a large (100 lb) Sulcata tortoise who needed close monitoring of the temperature in his barn. Everyone was thriving and happy when we came home. They read through the packet and asked thorough, thoughtful questions. They went above and beyond grooming, mucking and grazing the horses and goats everyday. They chopped greens and fruit daily for our tortoise. If we had known how amazing they were we would have booked a 3 week trip instead! Can't recommend them enough.
Paige, David, and family were WONDERFUL sitters for my crew! They were so pleasant and personable, and the pets warmed up to them very quickly. Even my rescue cat who tends to stray away from men loved David. I received regular updates and communication (before and during the sit). I truly did not have any concerns while I was away knowing that everyone had such great care and attention given to them. (I know the dogs had a good time because when I came home there was no commotion over my return.) I was away on NYE and Paige had no issues keeping an eye on one of the dogs who has anxiety surrounding loud noises. The family cleaned up after themselves and may have left the house cleaner than when I left! Truly such a great family who I would welcome back any time!
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.

Sarah is the Dog Whisperer! She is a wonderful person and has a truly incredible connection with dogs. Our anxious rescue dog would not walk with any other dog walker. He felt comfortable with Sarah right away! She created a trust bond with him by quickly understanding and responding to his behaviors and needs! Not only does Sarah work well with our dog, she has also helped me form a more secure connection with him as I’ve learned from her techniques and tips. When I first met Sarah, I was exhausted and at my wits end with our dog. After only a few weeks of Sarah walking him, we are in a much better place! I highly recommend hiring Sarah to walk your dog! She is a reliable, punctual and genuine person who will care about you and your dog!
Sarah is an excellent pet sitter. She is reliable, kind and responsible. She responds to texts quickly, sends photos and follows my typed directions to a tee. Give her a call - you won’t me disappointed
Sarah is so kind and professional. She is obviously very experienced working with dogs and has made a world of difference for us! We could not recommend Beau’s Buddies more.
Sarah is wonderful with dogs. My dog loves her and always looks forward to his walks. She also is terrific to work with and is always willing to help with advice. I highly recommend.
Sarah has been the most wonderful. I am a new dog owner (and new to the area), and she is very willing to help and entertain any question or request I may have. My dog, Peaches, absolutely adores Sarah and is a happier dog when I get home from days that Sarah takes her out. Sarah is incredibly flexible with her time and always willing to talk through scheduling. She has made all my recent life changes quite seamless - I do not know what Peaches and I would do without her! :D Highly, highly recommend.
Sarah is fantastic, especially with my boys! She has built such a great relationship with them, that they actually get really excited when she comes over to take care of them! And that says a lot considering one of my boys has some serious aggression and issues, which Sarah takes very seriously. It was a matter of minutes when they first met, for him to warm up to her, which says a lot about Sarah and her character! Sarah is so good at what she does and I would recommend her to anyone!
Sarah is awesome to work with and our dog lovers her to death. She always plans ahead and is flexible when needed. I recommend her to all.
Sarah was wonderful with our dog Roscoe and extremely communicative with us. We are so thankful for her care and kindness. We highly recommend her services and look forward to using her again.
Beau’s Buddies are amazing! They are very dependable and my dog loves it and eagerly awaits her walks! I couldn’t ask for better care. I highly recommend them.
Sarah is amazing!! My big bernese mountain dog loves her. And we love that our dog gets walks in every week!!! Thank you Sarah.
Highly recommend for services for reactive dogs. My dog, Harvey, is both human and dog reactive and we needed a new boarding facility. Harvey attended the K9 Day Camp program to get to know the staff before attempting overnight boarding. The entire staff took their time with Harvey, going at his pace and earning his trust. Mikayla, Nicole, Lauren and Joe are now 4 of Harvey’s newest favorite people! I’m so impressed by their professionalism and ability to earn my reactive dog’s trust, which is not an easy thing to do! Harvey has had success boarding with Nicole and I feel comfortable with him in her care. You can definitely trust your reactive dogs to be safe and cared for with Canine Odyssey
Nicole, Krystal and their whole team are truly some of the best. Caring, knowledgeable, and loving programs that are geared towards success and have the results to back it up. If you want the best version of your pup I highly suggest going here for all the services offered.
I can't say enough about the work that Canine Odyssey provides. They took wonderful care of our Shiba Inu Bandit and helped us raise the best boy. They treated him like family and he was always so excited to go to school! We recently moved out of the area but will forever be grateful and would recommend them to anyone looking for top quality care!
My dogs are always happy to see Nicole and staff and stay for daycare and boarding.
My dog is very enthusiastic every time we drop him off here. I consider that a good sign.
We have only been for training. Tony is so gifted. He's right where he needs to be on this mortal plane. Translating between dogs and their people is what he's supposed to be doing, I'm convinced. Thankfully, he IS doing it. He should wearing a robe and floating a foot off the floor in a halo of glow as he tells you what your dog is thinking. It's been really therapeutic for us.
I love Crazy Canines for day care and training! I've trusted them with my beloved dog for years and I know he's in good hands when he's there. The staff is patient and loving and Tony is a fantastic trainer. He keeps training simple and focuses on rewarding your dog for good behavior, not punishing your dog for bad behavior. I had an extremely difficult foster dog who wouldn't listen and didn't understand No and Tony gave me great advice on how to manage him, which I was able to do for several more weeks until he got adopted. Stop looking elsewhere, just bring your pup to Crazy Canines.
I have been bringing my puppy here for a couple weeks now and I am so glad I did. My puppy is high energy but also very social dog. Bringing him to daycare once a week let’s him burn energy and socialize. He is always beyond excited when he walks in the doors and comes home happy. I also find the prices to be fair and the staff to be super friendly. They are also never bothered by my 21 questions and how his day was (crazy dog mom). They also post pictures on FB daily! I highly recommend Crazy Canines.
Crazy Canine is a god sent!! From day one of training my golden retriever pup Cooper !! The owner Tony was amazing and very helpful. Fast forward to his one year birthday he goes here 2-3 times a week for half days and I have seen an unbelievable difference in Coopee!! He loves it here and comes home tired and just all around a happier dog! Special bonus is they make the cutest little gifts for ALL of the dogs. Christmas, Valentines and some times just because! All of the above is exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you to ALL for taking care of and living Coop… ❤️❤️❤️ you guys are the absolute BEST
Would highly recommend dog training at crazy canines. Tony is a star and you can tell he genuinely cares about each and every animal he interacts with. Not only are the staff great, they are also up to date with modern dog psychology and the actual science behind it, in other words; they will not teach you to hurt or punish your dog, but to build communication and rapport to give your dog a happy, safe, and satisfied life.
Our dog was trained here and does day care here. The staff is spectacular and the way they manage all the four-legged personalities is second to none. Our dog definitely has a crush on Tony.
We have been taking our dog here for about 2 years now. We have had nothing but good experiences with all staff. They truly care about my dog’s wellbeing.
Can’t say enough good things about crazy canines. We have a rescue pup who wasn’t properly socialized. She’s a handful! We tried another local daycare because crazy canines was full at the time and I left her first day in tears. They told us our girl was a “bully” and would likely not ever get along with other dogs. Mind you she was 4 months old. Fast forward and we finally were able to get our girl in here and she’s doing well. They are SO patient with her, and always take the time to answer our questions about her behavior and progress. I feel totally confident leaving her there, knowing she’ll be able to play and learn how to behave.
we used Crazy Canines periodically for our dog for half-days. The staff was nice. However, the last time I went to pick him up, I was abruptly told, “yeah, today I think is his last day with us, he hates it here.” This was I believe by the owner, who never even cared to introduce himself or ask me my name. His observation was that my dog did not like it there because he barked a lot inside, but was great outside. I understand how this could be disruptive, but this was also the very first time I was hearing of this. There had never been any prior communication. I am fine with the decision regardless, but not at all the way it was handled. If you’re the owner, there’s a level of professionalism you need to have with your customers, especially in situations like this that probably occur fairly often at a dog daycare.
Crazy canines has been our savior! We have a German shepherd that has been going there a few times a week for 2 years now. The dog truly can't get in their door fast enough! They do daycare as well as training. Highly recommend!
Our very first time at Ruff House and it was even better than we expected! Friendly , compassionate and patient! So excited to continue having our sweet boy attend weekly daycare. Thank you all.
We’ve been bringing our dog to Ruff House for weekly daycare and occasional boarding for 5 years now. We’ve never had any issues whatsoever at Ruff House. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, our dog is always super excited to be dropped off here, and they also do in house nail trimming which has been extremely convenient for us. We usually drop our dog off around 7AM and pick him up around 5:30AM which is always extremely quick and easy; we’re usually just able to hand him off and go. I would highly recommend Ruff House for anyone looking for a good Daycare facility.
We recently started bringing our two Heelers here and they absolutely love it. The second we pull into the lot they know exactly where they are and go crazy with excitement. We’ve also had them boarded here a couple of times and they come back tired and happy! We do wish there were more opportunities for boarding in case something comes up and we have to board them but we understand they only board during certain periods of the year. Not a big issue for us! I would recommend trying Ruff House out if you’re in the area. As of this post, they are accepting new clients!
I can't say enough about the facility and the staff, these folks are fantastic! They are proactive and provide my two dogs (2 doodles) with a safe, fun environment and me peace of mind. Thank you for all that you do for our family and Baily & Molly!
We have been sending our dog Chief here for years for social interaction and boarding. He is a regular on a Wednesday and occasionally needs boarding. All experiences are great! He comes home happy , tired from playing and always wants to go back!! The staff is friendly in person and on the phone. Easy to work with and flexible. We loves the Ruff house. ❤️🐕
A great place to either board or put your dog in for day care. Staff is kind and definitely loves animals ❤ Picture is sign from road so you won't miss it
Great staff. Wonderful training tips from the owner. Our Gunnar loves the owner… our Panda is always ready to get in to Ruff House. Sweet place.
Super friendly staff and very reasonable rates. Our boy Rudy comes home exhausted every day from playing and he is always so excited on day care days to get in the car! Always love seeing the picture updates they post
Fantastic Dog day care / boarding facility. Owners and personnel are always friendly and my pooch seems to be very well cared for. Does small dog group trainings and the guy knows his stuff! Has really helped with my overly excitable lab. They are generally pretty busy because they are so good.... call ahead and you'll find they try to do their best to match your schedule.
My dog was kicked out unexpectedly without ever receiving any written or verbal warning. Staff members claimed my dog was given too many chances already but we were never made aware of any situations and they couldn’t explain anything that happened in the past. The management is unprofessional and lacks communication skills. The owner doesn’t engage with the customers and didn’t even take the responsibility to make the phone call himself. Since the previous boarding manager left, the Ruff House has gone downhill. Don’t send your dog here!
