It was super clean and they were super sweet! They took care of my reactive dog when I went on vacation. One of the workers Sage specifically worked with him and she really took the time to make him and us feel comfortable by sending us photos of him and updating us anytime she could! Definitely recommend!!!

First, I do not write many reviews but feel compelled to share our story with others. We Picked our pup yesterday from a one week stay. He looked sad, depressed, underweight and was covered in hives. When I called for an update mid week the only response I got was that he was “good” with zero details. We did get a call that he was held out of doggy daycare Because of a red spot on his backside. This did not nearly describe his condition. He had two enormous red areas where he had been licking constantly as well as hives everywhere. He also has a limp that he he did not have before and we are watching closely. Thankfully we were able to get him into the vet immediately after picking him up. (650 dollars later) We paid for cuddles/ story time but he has red marks on his lips (he is all black) from pressing up against the metal fence (Per the vet). We paid for extended doggy daycare and we really have no idea any of what we paid for even happened. Definitely would not go back and can say whole heartedly would not recommend.

They gave my dogs HOT DOGS! My poor pups were so sick and spent $700 in fees and meds from the vet. I didn't send them the bill but I'll never go back there. My dogs were pooping blood for 3 days. Never again.

Every time my dog comes back he looks amazing and the grooming is exceptional. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job. We even had a chance to use our dog friendly hair coloring, and we gave him a tad bit of purple. He loves it.

Norwichtown Pet Resort is a great place to work and bring an animal for boarding or daycare. The boarding activities are really broad and awesome for all animals of all energy levels. There are daycare options for large and small dogs and there are options for dogs that don’t get along with other dogs as well.

UPDATE: We went back today and WOW. Malibu came home thoroughly exhausted (see our run down girl shown below).... Everyone was super great and friendly...as they usually are... (except that one girl that one time around the holidays that told me there was no daycare that day after me driving down there with my dog who still gets car sick. I had checked the website before I left and it didn't say it was closed that day so when I went and she said there was no daycare that day, I was quiet for a moment... surprised... and she said "well we posted it EVERYWHERE" ... Except their website apparently... (Sorry, I'm still salty about her unnecessary attitude when I wasn't even complaining about it... Just was standing there for a moment thinking what my next move was) Anyway, she wasn't there and today was great. And I'm happy for our girl to have a nearby place where she can get exercise, get groomed and socialization and that shows their love of animals in their care. ❤️ We'll be back for sure.

Recently we used norwichtown for our two pups when we went away for a week. Our vaccinated dogs contracted kennel cough and we were contacted via voicemail that they needed to be picked up early because "they weren't doing well." We were able to pick them up a day early, but the person was not able to answer any of my questions: when did symptoms start? Were there any other dogs that were showing symptoms? These questions were met with the response of "I don't know." We also left food for the dogs, and she brought the wrong food back out, and was quite surprised when I told her that wasn't it. I am not confident in her "promise" that they didn't actually mix up the foods after her going to recheck for 7-8 minutes, she wasn't able to provide the extra bags we left. I asked for a manager to call me, but I never heard back. I called again, but was kicked out to an answering service, and did not get a response again. I will not be using them again, they seemed disorganized and unprofessional.

When my wife and I went out of town a couple of weeks ago we had a last-minute change in plans and needed to find someone to take care of our puppy before we flew out the following day. Norwichtown pet resort and spa were fantastic throughout the whole process. They were able to get her in for the next day and our puppy absolutely loved it. They made the process easy, painless and were very supportive when we called and checked on her multiple times throughout the week as it was our first time leaving her alone. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. Thank you Norwichtown pet resort and spa for taking great care of star flight!

First time using a kennel for my 2 puppies (7 months) and 10 (months) they were great ! One employee in particular Emonte(spelling ?) was excellent! Definitely will use again!

Can’t say enough how well they take care of my Remy, and another plus is he loves to get dirty they rince him off before I pick him up. They are right there to answer questions with my pups also. He truly loves to go and play with his friends.

Pawsibilities was a complete lifesaver! The day before I started a new job out of state, my dogsitter informed me they could no longer make it for the day. I found Pawsabilities. Kristen has been taking care of my puppy, Gracie, for nearly 4 months now. We started with a few mid day walks and gradually added in a hike 1 day per week. Kristen is extremely responsive and caring towards Gracie and treats her as if she were her own dog. Kristen's care has helped Gracie with leash training, walking and socializing with other dogs. I can count on Kristen with a short notice and she is very flexible when my work schedule changes. Kristen from Pawsibilties is simply the best. She has been working with us three times a week for 6 months since our puppy was three months old. In the beginning she came to feed Lucy (our puppy) her midday meal and take her out for her business and some exercise. As Lucy has grown we have transitioned to midday walk and once a week hikes. Kristen is always responsive, gives feedback on the day, and even sends pictures of the hikes. She is truly caring and treats Lucy like her own.

I contacted Shoreline Happy Paws when I injured myself and could not walk my rambunctious puppy. Adriana quickly set up an initial home visit and came up with a twice-a-day walk schedule, which was very flexible and accommodating. All the dog walkers I had a chance to meet were very friendly and genuinely caring towards my puppy. They would send me messages and photos on how the walk went, and provide me with valuable information and impressive (sometimes funny) pictures. Thanks to Adriana and her staff, my puppy has tremendously improved on leash walking. Maybe someday I can try hikes when my puppy is well behaved around other dogs. Adriana is fantastic. I have a 5 month old Siberian husky named Luna and she is a handful, I've had Adriana come by on days that I am traveling for business and usually she visits 3-4 times on those days to let Luna out, walk/play with her, clean up any accidents and feed her. She always texts me pictures and lets me know how Luna is doing which I love. Not only is she great with pets, she is also very thoughtful about your home - for example, last time I hired her she brought in 2 packages that were delivered, one of which was an 80 pound desk. Our fur baby doesn’t like being left alone, and makes sure we know it, so after some research we called Shoreline to doggy-sit him during date night. We took into account the good reviews, insurance, and numerous certifications before reaching out. We built in a buffer to meet Adriana first before heading out and our dog was very comfortable and playful with her, so we felt calm heading out for dinner. Adriana texted us updates of how he was doing in the home and on his walk, and sent pictures. It was our first time leaving him with someone but we were able to enjoy a nice evening safe in the knowledge that our boy was in good hands. We were very pleased and will definitely be calling again if we need another night out!

I broke my foot last year, so I couldn’t walk my dog. I looked up dog walkers online (I was new to town at the time), and Shoreline Happy Paws was one of the first listings, so I gave them a call. From the moment my dog met Adriana and Chris, she was smitten. My rescue pup can be hesitant and super-shy, but she had the zoomies right away, and still runs out of the house to greet them every day. She has also been a reactive dog, traditionally, but in Chris and Adriana’s capable hands (and now with her new favorite dog walker, Abby), she is relaxed and happy, and utterly at ease with other dogs. It’s amazing to see the transformation in confidence she’s undergone. My foot has healed well, but I have kept the daily walks and hikes with the Shoreline crew because my pup loves them so much. (They’re also super-kind with people, too). 😄 I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Contacted Happy Paws with short notice before summer vacations. Adriana was very responsive and came over to see the layout. We have 3 indoor cats so they need attention daily. I cannot say enough good things about this Company. Each day we received a contact with pictures which was amazing. Very conscience when we were getting a storm before we returned since we had outdoor furniture from a previous party. Extremely happy with everything they provided and the price was affordable. They've got our business for as long as we continue to need the loving care they provide.

Shoreline Happy Paws came to our wedding rescue! We got married at dog-friendly Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, CT however, everyone we trusted to watch my baby was going to be apart of the wedding festivities! I am definitely over protective of my baby girl and can’t stand the thought of putting her in a kennel or leaving her with someone I don’t know or trust. I found Shoreline Happy Paws and meet with the owners a few weeks before the wedding. They were so sweet and kind to my very shy pup, I knew my pup would do well with them. The owners were extremely flexible and accommodating! On short notice they were able to watch my pup for a few extra hours while we attended our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Day-of Adriana was there on time, had toys and treats, she helped us during a photo shoot, and stayed with my pup all day! She took pictures and sent us updates all through out her stay. My sister did a lot of the leg work day-of as I was a tad busy but my sister was so pleased with all the updates and communication Adriana shared with her. Shoreline Happy Paws was an absolute life saver! And to top it off they were so sweet by leaving us a little wedding gift! We will definitely be using them again when we are in the area!

My cat Olive stayed at Gagnon’s Pet Resort while we were away on vacation. I never used a pet boarding service so I was a little nervous and I wanted to find a trustworthy place. Every single employee that helped us was so kind, sweet, and compassionate towards animals. They’re very meticulous with their intake so they know how to best take care of your pets. There was a texting service that I was able to check in and see how Olive was doing. I’m so happy with the service there and will be absolutely booking with them in the future. Olive and I thank you so much for being so caring and loving!

I have been bringing my dogs to Gagnon's Pet Resort for grooming with Abby for over 7 years now and I have such a positive experience every time. The grooming quality is amazing, the dogs clearly are treated well since they wag their tails when they see their groomer. The front desk staff and assistants are professional, efficient and polite. Gagnon's Pet Resort also makes me aware if there are any issues and my pets are actually inspected while groomed - more than once Abby notices health concerns that help me with the care of my pets. We recently boarded our 6 month old puppy at Gagnon's and I have nothing but good things to say. I would highly recommend it for dog boarding. They are so popular that they do not have availability for daycare at this time but hopefully they will have openings again soon. That staff was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back

Gagnons has been taking care of our indoor cat, for day boarding while we have major construction happening. They have been more than wonderful with her and have obvious adoration for EVERY pet who walk through their door. The staff are always eager to please. We are grateful they are there during our time of need, and will definitely be boarding her there should we travel.

The staff at Gagnon do a great job! They are all very helpful and happy to answer any questions. My dog attended daycare there regularly and loved It! Sadhana is an amazing resource for dealing with anxious or reactive dogs. She has great instincts and is very knowledgeable. She helped my pet immensely. MuttyPaws Academy is an excellent daycare and boarding place for dogs. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is the best facilities for dogs we have ever used. I would very highly recommend sending all dogs to MuttyPaws. Our miniature Australian Shepard loves going there for daycare and boarding!

I rarely board my dogs but whenever I have to I’ve always gone to John Gagnon’s. This was my first experience since change of ownership. My dog is well socialized and stable minded. When I picked her up she smelled of urine and the bottom of her belly was sticky with urine residue. It was apparent to me that she was lying in her own filth. She is not one to soil herself or sit in her own filth unless given no choice. The front desk staff was apologetic but the manager never called me back after I left a message and it’s been 2 weeks later. The neglect management is showing me as a client clearly matches the neglect my dog had experienced.

.We regularly bring our dogs to be groomed at John Gagnon pet resort. They are very busy so you have to book your grooming appointments way ahead of time So my appointment was today, I take the day off work so I can bring them in and pick them up. They gave us a 2 hour window 7-9. I got there at 8:56. Sat there until the girl came and told me the gave our appointment to another customer!!!?!?!!?! That’s terrible business ethics, I have a business myself and couldn’t do this to a good customer. I walked out but wish I stayed and demanded my appointment I was within the time slot. The other groomer in town has no availability! I would go somewhere else in a heartbeat if I could find another groomer!

Gagnon's Pet Resort has been such a gem since I've rescued Rooney. They've worked with him so much to become a better socialized pup and I truly see his growth and give them so much credit for it. They are so professional and knowledgeable. Loving and attentive. Every tail I see coming and going through their door is wagging and all doggies have big smiling faces. It means the world knowing my boy is taken care of so well when I'm at work or away. It's not the closest for me, but Gagnon's will always be our first choice resort. We love you guys 🖤🤍🐾

I used Crissy's Critters when I needed to be away from home. So I called Crissy's Critters. When Crissy first met my 10 year old golden lab mix Sandiee it was evident her love for animals. But what impressed me the most was she was genuine and easy to talk to about your pets needs. I would highly recommend using Crissy's Critters knowing that my Sandiee was in competent, caring hands as a pet parent that means everything.

I’m a longtime client and I’ve never been disappointed with the level of care my dogs receive at Sheridane Pet Resort. Mike & LuAnn are among the most knowledgeable and compassionate animal caregivers I know. They have been in business since 1973 and they live on the premises, but most importantly, my dogs love them! My dogs always have a blast when they’re at Sheridane, so much that sometimes I think they don’t want to come home!

They took care of my pup for me at the end of her life. They were experienced in knowledgeable and I trusted them to administer her meds and take care of her. Thank you for your care and compassion!

My dog got kennel cough there after 1 visit. Owners wouldn’t own up to it. Convenience isn’t worth more than dishonesty.

Leanne has been our pet sitter for several years. We have 2 dogs. She loves them like her own. We trust her in our home for extended trips and/or overnights. She walks them, as well, usually twice a week. You cannot find a more caring sitter!

Leanne is amazing with animals. Our two dogs immediately sat next to her and began cuddling with her. She truly cares about them and we trust her to watch them at the house when we are on vacation. She will also do shorter stops when we are away for the day. Leanne makes it so much easier for us to travel knowing the dogs are being loved.

My dogs love Leanne and roll on their belly for her. She is professional and very friendly, making it comfortable to go away without worry. She has done several overnights at my home and is the perfect guardian of my two doggies! I plan to use her again for sure.

Meg is just terrific. She not only does a great job taking care of their physical needs (litter box, water, food) but spends time with them and plays with them. She sends us email updates and texts with photos to let us know that everything is OK. With her on the job, my wife and I can relax and enjoy our getaways without worrying about the kitties. Wonderful.

Meg and Ron just cared for our basset hound and I can't say enough about the wonderful care they gave him. They sent me pictures, checked in to be sure we made it home safely and played with our puppy. He often is a little strange from the separation when we get home...and there was none of that this time. I can't recommend them any higher. We will definitely use them again.

Meh and Ron did a wonderful job with our two cats... Besides the normal food and litter things, they took the time to play with them...

We are so grateful to have Shake a Leg! in our lives. We are able to easily schedule walks for our active yellow lab. Suzanne came out to meet our puppy and discuss our needs prior to our first service. All of the staff truly enjoy what they do and provide quality care. They put my mind at ease and my dog loves his daily walks.

I’ve never utilized a service before, so it goes to say I was nervous. Suzanne’s team was fabulous, keeping me up to date the whole 10 days I was gone The cat did fine, and they also offered to pick up the mail and keep my outside flowers alive. I would absolutely recommend their service to keep your pet safe while you are away. I found the prices reasonable fir the service you are getting, and very grateful for the great communication. If you travel and want peace of mind while gone, this is the service for you. I heard about the service from my neighbor who was also very impressed and highly recommended them! I included a few pictures she sent to assure us how well our cat was doing while on a prolonged trip. Once home was super impressed how everything was perfect!

We used Shake A Leg for the first time in February for about 10 days. Our Old English Sheep dog has chronic dry eye and needs eye drops frequently throughout the day as she does not make any tears. In the past after boarding she developed terrible eye infections due to her drops being neglected. It is easy to tell if her eyes have been cared for because without frequent drops her eyes develop significant crustry drainage that can take days to go away and can develop infection. We arrived home to find a happy dog whose eyes had obviously been very well cared for. They arrived exactly when they said they would, walked her frequently and she was always with fresh clean water. The care they extended to our furry friend was exemplary and we would not hesitate to recommend Shake A Leg to anyone and would use them again without hesitation!

Suzanne and her team have taken great care of our dogs and cat for close to 9 years (as well as fish, hamster and chickens over the years, too). If you are looking for someone you can trust and who will care about your furry family - then Shake a Leg is for you. Suzanne helped us through puppy stages, with daily walks and vacation care when the two legged family needed to travel. She is reliable, responsive and professional - and our pets love her!

Highly recommend Shake a Leg! Suzanne and her staff have all been great with our dog Lucy. I trust them coming into my home while we are away at work. I never have to worry about our dog especially because my wife & I work long shifts. They have always been reliable, affordable and consistent. We use them 2-3 times a week & will continue to do so!

I cannot sing the praises of Shake a Leg enough. My newly adopted little girl (Sadie Mae) came early than anticipated, and during a work crisis. Suzanne and her team made themselves available, took such great care of Sadie, and understood how to care for a dog just learning their new environment. They will always be my first call on days that I need an extra hand or when I'll be away.

We hired Shake a Leg to stop by every afternoon while we were in vacation to let our 2 German shepherds out for a potty break and a run. Suzanne came by and did a meet and greet and we were instantly happy with our choice. There was ongoing communication with our housesitter throughout the week and we felt very comfortable that our dogs were in good hands. Great job and we look forward to using Shake A Leg again in the future!

Our experience with Suzanne was great from start to finish. She came out to meet the pets and they immediately bonded with her - even our grumpy old dog who barks at everyone just started wagging his tail when he saw her. Her background and training made us feel comfortable and we know our pets are in great hands.

I highly recommend Suzanne of Shake A Leg, very professional and personable at the same time. She took care of my cat for 17 days and brought in her own CD player for music when mine stopped playing. It's very comforting to have a dependable person taking care of your pets.
