I can't think of any company/retailer/store I've been happier to find in the past several years that we use on a consistent basis. Doggy Deuce has been our pooper scooping service for many many years, 3 dogs and counting. We now use them for pet sitting while we're away on vacation or just for overnights. While we're away, we get pictures of them, updates on how they're doing and Chris even goes the extra mile and offers to bring in our mail and take care of the pool while we're gone. I challenge anyone to find a small business that offers such service! Also, when I'm looking for any other service recommendation, (window washing, pool closing, carpet cleaning, etc.) Chris from Doggy Deuce always knows the best businesses to call upon. He's part of a big network of local businesses that have proven to be trustworthy and capable; the best can always recommend the best. Doggy Deuce is also an active advocate for pet adoption and strongly care about the welfare of animals. And the office staff is extremely attentive and available, returning emails and calls with very quick turnaround. This company is the real deal. I've recommended them to 3 other families on my block who now also use them! Our pets are our family, our house is our home, and I wouldn't trust either of them to anyone but Doggy Deuce. I'd be happy to offer a personal recommendation to anyone who reaches out.

We have been using them for a couple of years now. Our last trip away I scheduled them to visit my home twice a day for 3 days to take care of my 15-1/2 yr old Yorkie who is partially blind and deaf. On the final day of service I received an invoice I could not open so I emailed them back and requested it sent in a different format. The following day on our way home from our trip I received a call from Becky advising me that unfortunately, she mixed up the dates and no one visited my home to take care of my dog for 3 days. She proceeded to explain she was sick the day she took my appointment and probably shouldn't have been making appointments. What I don't understand is how an invoice is sent for the correct dates, but yet the dates were mixed up. These people are lucky my dog was alive. Barely alive, but she was! The dog was without water for 3 days. One more day and I doubt she would've survived. This is a huge mistake! This is a life we are talking about here. These mistakes cannot happen. I was very upset and angry and refused to further speak to them. There is nothing they can do to make this OK other than REFUND me my money they took without providing services! I would never recommend them to anyone!

I have been using doggie deuce now for over four years and they are amazing! I use them for both dog boarding and pooper scooper and they are super dependable, accommodating and (in my opinion) reasonably priced. Chris (the owner) and Jen (the manager) are super nice and you get a sense that they truly love what they do and the dogs. My dogs actually look happy when they leave to stay there while we are on vacation. While the dogs are there- they send pictures and updates which is awesome. I cannot say enough how much I love them and how much easier it is having them in our life. If you love your dogs as much as we do- you definitely want to give them a try the next time you are going away.

In addition to loving and caring for my own personal dogs, I spend much of my time rescuing animals in need. As a result, my yard tends to suffer. I enlisted the help of Doggy Deuce a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. The service is extremely reliable and the staff is friendly and pleasant.

I have been using Doggie Deuce for my dog Chase. They are incredible in so many ways. They care for my pet as much as I do. They are reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring and I would use no one else for my boy. I use them as a walker and also for a stay when I am away. Chris is an incredible owner and always makes me feel that my dog is in GREAT hands. Thats enough for me to rate this wonderful company ...EXCELLENT!!!!! Unfortunately this company has yet again failed to properly trained or communicate with their new staff. Once again one of the their employees have left my gate open for my two pit bulls which are not dog friendly. They were instructed since the beginning to call my phone before they came so we can ensure the dogs were inside, but they failed to do that too. If he was confused as I was told. He should have called the office, myself or rescheduled. I find it very disturbing and hard to understand the lack of common sense of this person. He not only put my dogs in danger but other dogs too.

Doggy Deuce watches my pup when I go out of town and she has so much fun. They take such great care of her and make sure she is treated like a princess.

Chris and his team are the BEST. He has an innate gift with animals and is truly a dog whisperer.

Bailey loves his weekly play dates with Lauren! My very energetic fur baby learned to socialize and play with other dogs in a safe environment. So thankful for her.

My dog Blaze goes absolutely insane with excitement when I mention going to Peaceful Pup to see Lauren! He normally has separation anxiety when it comes to leaving me, however, when we arrive at Peaceful Pups, he leaps out of the car and runs right to the door. He has a wonderful time and I totally trust Lauren with my fur baby!

As a first time dog owner my family and I were nervous to trust anyone with our puppy. However, we felt an immediate connection with Lauren. She was knowledgeable, professional, and so kind. My dog loved her from their first interaction. She has helped us with tips, walking, boarding, and she has been so easy to work with. We feel extremely lucky to have found her and would highly recommend her!

We had a large party and we wanted to eliminate the worry that comes with non dog owners and doors being inadvertently left open. So we asked our vet for a sitting service. Peaceful pups was recommended. And after meeting Lauren, we found a perfect and safe place for our dog. It was our first worry free party in ages. And our dog came home happy and tired from all the fun she had. Thank you Lauren!

I cannot sing the praises of Peaceful Pups Dog Care loudly enough. My dog had a rough passage prior to coming to my home. He endured losing a leg in Hurrican Marie in Puerto Rico. Peaceful Pups has worked with me to overcome his reactive quirks so he can have a much better life. I never worry for a second when he is in Lauren's care. She is a dog whisperer extraordinare. My dog howls when he knows she is coming. Praise from a pup who has had a tough time. THAT says it all!!

Went on a tour here and took our dogs for evaluations. The facility is gorgeous and very well kept. We saw a video of our dogs on social media which was fine. I also called to check on my dogs before they posted the video since it was their first doggy daycare. In the video, we didn’t love the volume of dogs in the play area. The dogs did great with their evaluation and the staff is absolutely lovely. We just noticed our dogs looked overwhelmed with all the other dogs there (it was close to 30 total that day). We were told max capacity is 75 dogs in a play area and they have appropriate staffing when they get to those volumes. I think it’s just a personal preference that we want our dogs in a smaller group environment so they aren’t overwhelmed. If it weren’t for the volume of dogs that go to this daycare, we would’ve used them daily but it just didn’t feel like a good fit for our pups

Our dog Lucy has stayed with K 9 Resorts a couple of times. One short weekend and then a two week stay while we are out of the country. When we picked her up on our return, she was excited, friendly, and very happy. All indications to us is our dog had a good time, looked healthy, and smelled fresh and clean from her pick up day bath. We are going away in late October and Lucy will definitely be staying at K 9 Resorts. By the way, after that Original short day, Lucy seemed excited when she went through the door going in for the two weeks stay, she liked the place, and that’s a great sign. Sawyer loves hanging out with his doggie friends. The staff always takes such good care of him and he comes home happy and tired! We recently left him for 3 weeks and we worried about the length of time, but he came home happy and healthy.

My baby boy loves this place like a second home! It’s spotless and the staff is incredible (especially the assistant manager Lynette). As an over protective millennial dog mom I trust K9 resorts 100%. You can tell that everyone genuinely loves the dogs. I have peace of mind knowing he's happy and safe playing with his friends while I’m working. I have tried other camps before but none compare!

The best solution is when we have to leave our baby for a while. They are really caring and thoughtful! My baby is a 3-pound teacup, so I had to find a place I could fully trust. I'm glad I found it!

K9 Resorts is very well run with a staff that cares about the dogs staying there. It was the first time my dogs were boarded and I felt comfortable taking them there and was very happy with their care during their stay!

K9 Resorts of Emerson is a top notch facility. I had 2 dogs who have never boarded before stay at this location for 4 nights and they were well cared for, played with, and looked after with the utmost kindness and professionalism. I feel completely comfortable with the staff, facilities, and service at K9 Resorts of Emerson. I would highly recommend this business to anyone in need of dog boarding services. I was trying out to see if this place would be a good fit for my pup cause i know my pup is usually very anxious. Unfortunately things didn’t work out as i hoped but that’s okay! Because i appreciated how much this place communicated with me and heard my concerns about my pup. They did their very best to make my pup comfortable and that’s all i can ask for. The staff is super sweet and very understanding. I’m hoping that with more training my pup will be able to gain the confidence he needs to be able to come back here cause that’s how great they treated us. They are aware of how to make sure the place is safe for furry friends and that’s what is important! Thank you guys for doing your very best and being patient with my pup. I’m hoping i can return when he is more ready!

We’ve taken our two dogs here twice now. Once for their evaluation and once for doggy daycare. The staff is really friendly and explained things well. The moment we pulled up to the parking lot for their day of daycare, the dogs wanted to run inside. They were greeted by friendly humans and went running to go play that they didn’t even say bye. When we picked them up, they were excited to see us but weren’t running out of the door. They went back to say bye to the staff there. They came home exhausted but very happy. I got a video seeing how they were doing which gave me some piece of mind and they do little activities for holidays which I LOVE. My dogs are my fur babies and it feels like they understand that.

Took our two dogs there for day care before we board them this weekend. Sounds like they had a great time and played with the other dogs. They are absolutely exhausted! Guess we will all sleep well tonight 😌 …

Love love love this place - the staff takes great care of my rambunctious 2 boys. They are always so friendly, nice and polite. The themed parties are too cute, I can't wait to see photos they post ( this was them at prom) Really this is the only place I want to tale my dogs to.

Be careful leaving your dog in the care of this location. There has been surveillance video footage of the abuse of Charlie (GSD). Check out @ABC7NY tiktok video posting from yesterday 9/20/24. Had the employee whistleblower not show the footage to Charlie’s owner, he would have never knew, other dog owners that leave their dog here would’ve been oblivious, and that manager that abused Charlie in two instances would’ve still been working here. But according to the video they said the manager has been fired. And here is the proof before the Google business account owner/ runner wants to deny these claims. This is footage of the GSD Charlie that is also featured in that TikTok video by ABC7NY News.

I picked up my chocolate lab axle this weekend after a seven day boarding. When I received him he had a raw nose on the top of his bridge. Upon asking the staff what happened. They stated that it was that he was sticking his nose underneath a gate. And that’s what probably caused it. I’ve used your services times before and never had an issue. Till now. I hope that this does not scar my dogs nose. Right now at the moment it is discolored unfortunately. and maybe the facility can assure that this does not happen to other dogs.

They took great care of my Kenna and made sure she had a fun and safe experience. The facilities are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play. The service was top-notch, from the convenient drop-off and pick-up to the flexible scheduling and reasonable pricing.

A really wonderful company that provides meaningful service and care to our beloved dogs whenever we have to leave them for a few hours and they need a potty break and hugs until we get back home. Alissa has been our sitter and she is absolutely the best! Our dogs love her and she is like a trusted family member to us. We recently had our dog board with The Doggie Lodge for the first time. Tanya and her family took such wonderful care of our dog while we were away! They have such friendly personalities and a warm home that was noticeable from the very start of connecting with them to inquire about boarding our dog with them. Tanya is an excellent communicator, is clear, concise and prompt with all correspondences. Our dog was treated like part of their family while there and we knew she was extremely well cared for. The Doggie Lodge was amazing. My friend had a stroke and had no one to take care of his Pitbull. They accommodated us last minute and took care of my friends Pitbull as if he was their own. I would highly recommend them. They were friendly, courteous and they took very good care of my friends Pitbull till we found a good home for him. I highly recommend Doggie Lodge. They are professional and caring. Our dog walker, Karolina is amazing! We have had a wonderful experience so far. She comes to the house two times a day to take care of our Black Labrador Retriever and he loves her! Doggie Lodge leaves detailed notes on when they were there and what they did, as well as text messages and pictures! I highly recommend Tanya Reznik and the Doggie Lodge! She is very professional and accommodating. Our dog is 6 years old and had never been boarded overnight, so I was nervous if she would do well. Tanya made her (and us!) very at ease and comfortable and my dog had a great stay! She was treated very well and Tanya sent updates and pictures throughout the weekend. Tanya and "The Doggie Lodge" have been a tremendous help to me! Tanya is very organized and great with follow up. I currently use a lovely woman , Tanya employs, once a day to walk my dog. She is such an animal lover to the core. its not just a job. She truly cares! Tanya also came to the rescue when I needed her pet sitting services, last minute. She recommended a person she knew I would be a good fit. My dog made a new friend that weekend!

This service is amazing. I have a bit of a difficult dog and they took care of her so well. I was able to go away and be at peace while I was away. They took care of her at my house which kept my dog in the environment she knows. They sent me pictures and update at every visit. I highly recommend the Doggie Lodge for all your needs. 5 star business for sure.

Great overall experience on Day 1 for my 85lb. Chocolate Lab pup (8 months). Vanessa was lovely upon our arrival and from the doggy meet and greet, to his day at daycare, and their responsiveness when I called to check in I am very please thus far. My only issue is that they do not have an outside space for the dogs to get out. It is a completely indoor facility - very clean, neat, and organized.. spacious too. Knowing that Hudson was a few weeks out of OCD shoulder surgery, they kept an eye on him ensuring he didn't overly exert himself nor did other dogs also push him too much for play. All in all I was pleased with the interaction and loved the "report card" that was provided at the end of the day to summarize his behavior and day. I plan to have Hudson return for daycare and will be giving their boarding a try too. Thank you Vanessa and team for making me feel comfortable leaving my baby.

Folks at Hounds Town were so patient and lovely during our initial consultation. They were patient with our nervous pup and made us all feel at ease. We will definitely set up our first visit soon.

I boarded my elderly dog here for four days. He had never been boarded before, so needless to say I was worried about how he would adjust. I’m happy to say that Hounds Town Bergen exceeded my expectations. The staff was so caring and supportive of both me and my fur elder!! I received a text saying that he was doing well, and the photos on Facebook helped to relieve my anxiety. I highly recommend this establishment!!

Our dog, Zuko, had so much fun in Hounds Town! He got a lot of his energy out and socialized with dogs his size, in a safe environment. The staff are always so friendly and responsive. They posted cute pics of him and he looked so happy! They gave us a report card at the end of daycare, which I thought was a really cute touch. Also, the prices are great, the place is clean and spacious—Highly recommend!

The team at Hounds Town is awesome! They were friendly, engaged with our dogs and made us very comfortable as we left our pooches to be boarded for their first time! We were nervous but they made us feel good and at peace as my husband and I went off for a much needed long weekend!

The team here is phenomenal. They treat my baby like their own. They’re all very friendly and professional. The lobby is always clean and smells good. Tobias enjoys every single minute of the 4 days a week he goes here. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness and compassion. Danielle is AMAZING with our 14yr old baby - she’s been grooming him for years, we have followed her from PetSmart to here. Hounds-town is a more smaller, family, caring and friendly. They offer a lot of services for pet care.

I was totally impressed with the detailed communication. I was hesitate to board again since we had a bad experience, BUT Houndstown definitely changed that! Now I have a place where my dog can stay, and be taken care of! And I have peace of mind!! Thank you!!!

We love Hounds Town Bergen and so does our beagle! After being rejected at a previous doggy daycare because our beagle was too shy and didn't interact much with the staff-- we lost all hope in finding a good place for our beagle until we found Hounds Town. They took her in with open arms and really took the time to gain her trust. She comes home pooped out from all the fun! We also love the photo updates! Hounds town has helped her so much to get over the fear of meeting new dogs and new people. I would absolutely recommend this place to all my dog moms/dads!

The staff was incredibly friendly. Watching the cameras, I could see them interacting warmly with the dogs and showing genuine care. I really appreciate that the dogs have access to outdoor play areas, and the spacious sleeping cots ensure they’ll be comfortable. It’s also fantastic that grooming services are available!

There are not enough superlatives to say how much we love Camp Bow Wow, Elmwood Park. We trust them 100% with our boy Primo and have been bringing him there for nearly 12 years now. The facility is one of the cleanest, best run and caring places to bring your dog. They greet you by name when you arrive, are very friendly, and always attentive to all your dogs needs. You have the ability to watch your beloved pooch on one of their many web cams so you will always know what's happening. They do a great job of having the dogs grouped by size, so that none of the little ones get smushed by all the affection from the bigger ones.

If Missy could drive she would steal my keys to come everyday of week! It feels good to know your pouch is in good hands. Kudos to the staff for making them feel like home

Check-in staff for our interview and first (free) half day of day care was very helpful. They were able to walk us through the interview process and provided information on how we could check in with our dog throughout the day with their facility cameras. Upon pickup, they also offered us a tour of the facility and described a typical day of daycare and boarding at Camp Bow Wow. The transparency was very reassuring and gave us the confidence to know that our dog would have a safe and fun time with the staff at this facility.

I love how they get to know my dogs and watch out for them and bring any issues or observations to our attention. My dog Baxter has been coming to Camp Bow Wow for 3 years now and he loves it there. He is thriving and we always have impeccable service, especially from Roman and Rose.We also recently brought Baxter's sister Willow to join him at Camp Bow Wow as well and she loves it too. She gets so excited when she knows she is going to daycare. We could not be happier with their level of service and will stay loyal customers!

My Schnoodle, Clara, is 5 months old and went to 1/2 a day for daycare for the first time last week. She had a little anxiety when I left, but then relaxed as time went on and she passed her interview. I also added some playtime which she had fun with. I brought her back on 5/04/24 for a full day. She had a friend there this time which I was happy she had some company. She played and the lady, forgot her name, also spent time and played with the puppies and Clara had so much fun. You can see the care they give to our furbabies. I also treated my Clara to a bath, teeth cleaning and ear cleaning and she came back to me smelling so good. She was tired, but, she had alot of fun and was happy to see me. I highly reccomend EP Camp BowWow for your furbaby care. The staff is wonderful, prices very fair, they keep it very, very clean throughout the day and the care they show the furbabies is priceless. Happy FurMom snd FurBaby 👧🏼🐶🐾🐾

My furry baby has been going to Camp Bow Wow for over a year now. I can’t express how much we love this place. Starting with the great staff who always welcomes everyone with smiles and great kindness. Very clean facility, no yucky dog smell. Most importantly I know my furry baby is safe and having an amazing time . As soon as my baby gets into the car after a long day with his furry friends and camp counselor, he falls asleep the whole car ride home. I recommend camp bow wow to all my friends and family. Camp Bow Wow Elmwood Park is amazing! The staff is so friendly and they truly love your fur babies as their own. Tachi loves it here and loves everyone who works at camp too. I thank everyone on staff for always being so welcoming and always having a smile on their face!

I can never saw enough about how truly wonderful Paw Pals is! From the dog walking service, to the daycare, to the overnight home stays and the boarding, we have done it all and each time has been wonderful. They truly treat your pet like their own. Our dog is now 10 and has always been a nervous type. The team at Paw Pals is always so patient and kind and loving with him. I always love getting the reports with how sweet he was with them too! Paw Pals provided excellent care for Nala while I was away! Given that she's a working line German Shepherd, I was worried about meeting her mental and physical activity needs during boarding. However, Paw Pals kept her active, engaged, and stimulated with walks, puzzles, and playtime. Brittanie was incredibly responsive and reassuring when I checked in, even sending extra photos for my peace of mind. They continuously refine and improve their practices to be inclusive of all types of dogs, from their daycare program and individual enrichment activities to on-site training and even micro groups for selective dogs. I can not thank the Paw Pals team enough. We got our puppy in the middle of winter, so it was challenging to find ways to help him socialize with other dogs and people. I am so happy we found Paw Pals! Jet was nervous the first time he walked in, but after that, he always walked in with a smile and a wagging tail! They are very accommodating when we send him (3-4 times a month). We don’t send him often, but the few times he has attended daycare shows that it helped him feel comfortable around new dogs and people. We feel at ease knowing he is with kind professionals, exercising and socializing, and the pictures they send us make our day. I can tell the owner is diligent with whom she hires and is a kind and caring professional. Their website is straightforward and easy to navigate. The Paw Pals team has been excellent taking care of my pup as I transition back to working in the office! From the dog walking team to the day care and boarding team not only do they keep me updated but they keep my dog very happy. The team also is very accommodating when my schedule changes. Paw Pals is the best - our dogs love to go there. The last time we boarded them, Paw Pals literally saved our summer vacation - one of our dogs needed a visit to the vet while we were away (non serious but needed to go) and the owner took her for us so we didn’t have to disappoint our kids and cut our trip short. They always take great care of our babies and go above and beyond.

To say Paw Pals is an amazing day care/boarding facility would be an understatement. I have trusted Brittanie and her team with my fur baby since 2021. The Paw Pals team have loved on and cared for my baby as if he is truly apart of their family. Paw pals exceeded our expectations! This was our first experience boarding our extremely nervous dog and the entire staff took such good care of our dog and our family! They sent two report cards a day with a written and picture update and made us feel so at ease while we were away on our vacation. I have been a customer with The Tail Trail for over five years. FANTASTIC....YOU CAN FEEL THAT YOUR PETS ARE WELL-CARED FOR! I have an 85 yellow Labrador and a cat. Tail Trail takes care of my dog and cat...whether I’m away for a week or a weekend. The staff that is sent to care for your pet is provided with a detailed sheet as to location of food, etc. We usually have the pets cared for 3x a day for 1/2 hour per visit. Some of the staffers will send me a morning photo of my pets. The staff are all tremendous animal lovers. I highly recommend

My favorite pet care business!

Have had a good experience here , the groomers appear friendly and my dog always seems happy when she comes out. We always discuss the look prior to getting her haircut. Only taking 1 star off because my poodle was not really given the haircut agreed upon prior to the groom. Usually they’re pretty good, but this time around, they trimmed all the hair off the ears. Just hope next time they let me know if the decision was made because she was too matted or needed the trim. I also don’t like that they don’t brush their teeth. Overall good experience with these groomers and seem like they care to treat the dogs well.

Madison Dog Resort is amazing! The staff is so caring, and the facility is spotless and thoughtfully designed. Our French Bulldog loves it here and always comes home happy. We especially appreciate the updates and photos they send. Highly recommend for top-notch pet care!

Picked up my dog from this place and he was dirty and had a mark on his face didn’t think much of it until after we washed him we noticed he had a bite mark on his face that looked like they had cleaned up well. After bringing the dog to the vet it turned out to be a dog bite and the spa never said anything about it but definitely knew about it . Needless to say I won’t be using there facility . again after barely being able to stand how bad the smell is inside and not disclosing my dog was injured and felt like they were waiting for us to notice if we saw the bite but it didn’t start to show until we cleaned him .

My dog loves going to the Madison (or the "bark bark" as he knows it). Whenever I mention that we're going to the bark bark, he gets so excited and is ready to bolt out the door. I know he plays hard and has a great time because he takes a big nap on the ride home. The humans at the Madison are great, too! They also do grooming, which is so convenient and my little guy gets to have some playtime before he gets his haircut. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely LOVE the Madison! We board our Boxer puppy here when we go away. The owner Ryan went above and beyond for us ..being the first time we were so nervous to leave her. Highly highly recommend the Madison for your pup! Great experience overall!

I am so thrilled to have found the Madison for my dog, Bowie! This was my first time boarding him since rescuing him last year, and I was more nervous than he was! When I picked him up, he was clean from his bath, well cared for, and had an absolute blast playing with his new doggie friends! I can’t recommend this enough for any dog owner. I love the Madison - it has been a Godsend when my dog is full of energy and I don't have time for a long walk, or if I am out for the day - so much nicer for them to be with other dogs and people. They supervise the dogs and give helpful feedback. It is clean and the people who work there are consistently friendly and not a lot of turnover so they are familiar faces and really get to know your dog. Kelly and the grooming staff are also really great - one of my dogs is really difficult to handle for baths but Kelly is always able to do it and never complains about her! Victor who runs The Madison is a really great person - cares very much about the business!

The facility is clean and the staff is always taking such great care of the dogs. My dog gets so excited when we turn the corner heading to doggie daycare at the Madison! We had a great experience with sending our dog to The Madison in Hawthorne. The staff took great care of him! There is always someone with the dogs and make sure they are playing appropriately. They offer grooming which we took advantage of a few times. We mainly used it for care while both my husband and I were at work. One thing to note is that our dog had issues with his paws getting worn down on the floors causing us to not be able to bring him there as often as we would have liked. Overall I would highly suggest using The Madison for your needs.
