a perfect place to bring your pets if you are going on vacation or just need a day to yourself. the staff is wonderful and super friendly.

They have watched our cats twice now and I'm very happy with them. My cats seemed very happy there when I came to pick them up. Their staff are always very friendly and helpful.

My dogs are always treated so good here. Very clean facility and friendly, caring staff.

Absolutely the best kennel for pets that I have ever used and my wife and I have lived in multiple states!! They are so professional and my dog gets excited about going there. I have never had any issue regarding fleas and ticks there, unlike other boarding places. Their prices are reasonable and I like their grooming services.

Happy Tails is the absolute best boarding and grooming place. We’ve taken our lab, Captain, here for more than 4 years. The kennels are clean and staff are over the top friendly! Highly recommend!

Love this place for my pets. They take such good care of them. I worried at first cause I never leave them but they did wonderful. The grooming was great my dogs smelled good for a month.

First visit this week great team, and easy to work with. What peace of mind we had on Vacation. We were able to call to check on Tank. If they did not answer they gave a call back quickly and the price was great for there quality service. We highly recommend if you need someone to look after your fur baby. I dropped my girl off Wednesday morning and called each morning I was away. Each time they told me HE was fine. I was only away two days , at this point I was concerned when i pick HER up Friday afternoons I had her in the car for what is exactly a 6 minutes to our home and she cries the whole Time until we arrive at home and I let he out and she Ran to go pop. She was left with instructions as per the your request and none, including her bathrooms regularities we're address. I asked them to let her out in the morning to go. It was obvious they did not let her out at all that morning inito thenoon hours. Not very animal orientatd people at all. My dog had complete control over both of the handlers as if they were inexperienced with animals would not recommended this to anyone'. Paid for the suite$32+ a mightt. My girl is fine now back here at hone. Very bad experiences

Everything went great! I left my two doggies there for one week. She took great care of them and they were totally healthy and happy when I came to pick them up. Lindsay washed all my blankets, bathed them and had their report cards with lots of great information:-) I am very pleased!! She is super organized and was flexible with my schedule. We will use her in the future!

We boarded our sweet Darla for the very first time last weekend, for our Wedding. Lindsay was great to communicate with before, during and after the event. She seems to really love dogs and know a lot about them. Darla was healthy and clean when we picked her up. Drop your dog here for daycare while you enjoy a spa treatment at Capon Springs up the road. It will be a spa day for all!

My dogs stayed here over the summer and had a great playing. They can be hard to handle at times but Lindsey knew just what they needed to settle in. She sent me pictures during their stay which put my mind to ease. She also grooms my pom pom every couple months. She is great with dogs and very knowledgeable when it comes to their needs and wants.

After a bad boarding experience, we only left our dog with family, until now! Lindsey is amazing and I was confident our boy would be well-loved while we were away. It was great to get updates throughout the week and come home to a beautifully groomed and (most importantly) happy fella. Lindsay was awesome to work with from the minute we called her to inquire about our "Buddy's stay" this summer. Her communication was great and she enthusiastically welcomed us when we arrived. Buddy was well loved and had a great time. He was so clean and looked great when we picked him up and even his blanket had been washed! We have a 10 year old Lab and wanted to get a deep clean. This was our first time and I must say Lindsay put all our worries at ease. Not only were we pleased with the cleaning but it also made a difference in shedding she really got a lot of hair thinned out. Lindsay even touched bases with us to let us know he was doing well and sent a couple pictures which put us at ease. I would recommend her she is very caring and you can tell she likes what she is doing.

Lindsay made me feel at ease dropping my dog Lady off for grooming. She even sent pictures during the process and kept me updated the whole time. I warned her that Lady was temperamental around other dogs. She made sure she was kept from the other dogs to avoid a fight. She treated her as if she was her own and was very attentive. I will be returning to get Lady groomed again. Thank you Lindsay!

I boarded my one year old Ragdoll cat, Aidan, for a week while at the beach. Lindsey groomed Aidan during his stay and she did an awesome job! I am now going to have her groom him on a regular basis to prevent mats and keep him looking beautiful! I highly recommend boarding and grooming with Lindsey!

Needed someone last minute to care for our kitty during the holidays and Lindsay was awesome! She was very responsive and took true interest in him and his well-being, even giving his meds twice daily. Her updates during his stay helped us rest assured that he was in great hands!

This boarding facility is very close to home for me so I thought it was a good pick. I booked online for my pets and accidentally got the dates wrong so I called to see if they could change it to the correct dates for me. The owner answered the phone and was nice enough to do so but she did come off a little rude. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if I could visit the facility before boarding my dogs. It was the day before Thanksgiving and she warned me they may not have time. totally understandable. I let her know I’d still check in. It comes to the day of the visit and I also brought my wife to make sure she was also comfortable with our pets staying here. The facility is clean and looks great on the outside. We walk in and it is also clean inside. I let the older lady (assuming this is the owner) at the desk know I was wondering if we could get a walk through. She and the older man sitting next to her immediately shake their head saying today was not a good day and included that they were leaving soon. Mind you: We arrive shortly after opening and there wasn’t a lot going on from what we could see. The walk through took less than 5mins…… The facility is clean. The employee that gave us the tour was nice but the spaces for the animals are advertised as luxury and being from the city they resemble closer animal shelter kennels. The owners overall attitude is the reason we would not board here ever. Please go in and tour the facility. You’ll understand my review when you do.

I reached out regarding an online reservation on a holiday weekend, wanting to confirm if they actually had availability or not. I was immediately greeting with a young lady who was extremely unpleasant and seemed to lack customer service phone skills. She picked up the call and did not provide her name or any detail other than “Hello, Creature Comfort.” I processed to introduce myself and explain why I was calling. When I asked if they actually had space for my reservation that was booked online, she gave me a stern one worded “No.” She maybe said 3 words total on that call, I was extremely taken back by the lack of professionalism during that brief interaction. Not a very great first impression from a business stand point by any means. I would not feel comfortable leaving my pets at a facility where they are not able to answer a customer call with respect.

My dog stayed for four days. He seemed perfectly chilled coming back home not stressed or anxious to get out. This was his first kennel stay. He's 11 months. The owner gave me a tour and I paid for some extra play time. The facility looked and smelled clean. I'd return if required.👍 …

Great place to board pets. They took care of our cats and dogs like family. It is hard to find a place that takes such good care of the animals. Would recommend to anyone needing animal boarding.

If I could give Creature Comfort 6 stars I would! They take such good care of our two large dogs. We have been taking our dogs here for over 4 years. We pass a lot of other kennels along the way during our 60 mile drive to drop off our babies, but we know they are in the best hands while we are away.

Tammy and her team have been doing an amazing job of taking care of my 2 Rottweilers since they were puppies. One has developed epilepsy over the years. They have no problem caring for him and administering his meds. It means a lot to have a place we can trust to care for our pets when we are away. Thanks to you all.

Creature Comfort Inn is 1.5 hours away from us and WELL worth the trip to leave our dog. We have boarded our dog with them twice now. When we picked up our dog this time, the owner took the time to note minor behavior differences she saw in our pup between his first and second boarding. The Inn offers many services for the dogs each day for an additional fee (group play, snuggle time, extra walks, etc) that we plan to take advantage of next time! You can tell these folks love the pups they care for.

Large property in a country setting. great area for my dog to run! They took wonderful care of my dog during the week he was boarded there. they provide a lot of services. Kennels were clean, and a good size. Will be returning with Boo for daycare and training!

We left our 3 year old Goldendoodle at Pet Rated for 2 1/2 weeks in July. While pets obviously can’t talk, she seemed to have a great time. There’s a giant fenced yard where the dogs can play all they want. They can sleep on couches or beds, no crates. And best of all, there is a daily trail walk and the temperatures are far cooler than they are in DC this time of year. Judy does a great job caring for your dogs. When we picked our Maddie up, she was happy and tired—exactly what you hope for. Highly recommend.

Judy was awesome! Left our golden doodle with her for daycare while we went rock climbing in the area and she was well taken care of. Judy was flexible when we were running late for pickup and even fed our dog with the other pups! Would definitely recommend and bring our dog back if we are in the area.

Today my 2 year old black lab stayed at Pet Rated in Thomas, WV. She loved staying there,how I could tell she didn't want to leave and she is dog tired. It's not easy to wear out a lab. She had plenty of exercise which was great for her and me. I would definitely take her to Pet Rated again so much nicer than traditional outside kennels.

Our 6 year old rescue couldn't tell us about her special time at Pet Rated. Yet, on pickup she was happily wagging and seemed content to stay longer (who wouldn't with all attention and care received). It was great to find Pet Rated; we will use again!

Our dog seems to love going on vacation at Pet Rated! He gets to play and hike. Judy is wonderful-she loves dogs and is great to communicate with. He has all the comforts of home when he stays at Pet Rated and we know he is well taken care of.

our 10y/o Lab just spent several weeks here as part of 'the pack'. It was so comforting to know she was in a home-like environment with the stimulation of other dogs, fenced in play yard, walks off leash..& sometimes swimming holes. When we picked her up she looked healthy & happy. Highly recommend.

When we visit Canaan Valley from DC we sometimes need a place to leave our dog, and we are always delighted and secure to be able to leave her with Judit and Matt at Pet Rated. I know that my dog will be safe with lots of opportunities to exercise.

My two dogs stayed here for 5 days and came back starved and scared. You could see the ones ribs and they act completely different. When called they said that they were ran twice a day, said sorry, and hung up. I think they were abused. Do not let your pets stay here if you care about them at all

Barbara is such an animal lover! I had the greatest confidence that my baby girl would be lovingly cared for. She spent 4 days her and looked fabulous after being groomed. Thank u my dear friend. It is so great to finally find someone I trust to care for sparkles when I can't. Wonderful experience for both of us!

I would not use this place. I was happy the first year. The second year. The owner was very overwhelmed she said she we took our two dogs in seemed confused. The dogs are German Shephards they seemed very aggressive when we got back it took a few days to get them back to themselves. Did not tell us about an extra fee to the day before picking them up. She also had my daughter’s dog who was older and had been traumatized since returning home. It’s been a month now.

Didn't have a good experience, they let my dog lay in piss for a week and ever since my dog went there she hasn't been the same. They charge extra don't tell you til last minute. Please don't take your animals here!!!!!!

Country Mile Pet Resort ,groomed our Black Laborer Retriever Charlie ,when she was only 3 months old.When we picked her up ,she looked and smelled so good ! We are now boarding Charlie at 4 months for over at week with them,as we go on Vacation.We trust Charlie will be taken Great care of professionally and enjoy herself with other doggies ! If not I will definitely revise my review after Charlie has stayed. Country Mile Pet Resort, also groomed our last Lab many yrs ago ,for the 12 yrs ,Angel, was here with us ,we alway took her to groomed .We never had an issue ,always had Wonderful results with Angel as she always came back Happy .Though we never had Angel They also are good at getting me an appointment quickly,,as I want those nails trimmed as soon as possible when they hurt ,don’t like having to wait until the following week !! Also Affordable low prices compared to others ,and no busy town traffic ,trying to find a spot to park or meters to lay ! Yes, out in country ,is where Dogs like to be !!! This is where our dogdaughter Charlie will grow up and be groomed ,and Boarded if needed .We Definitely Recommended, Country Mile Pet Resort !! 08/31/2023

I was looking for good groomer for my goldendoodel. Some one recommended this place. I make a visit first time about three years ago. And now I have two more poodles and we visiting only Country Mile Pet resort. She has extensive experience working with animals, especially cats and dogs. My dogs come back home clean, beautiful, fun and healthy! She really has a high professional level.They are also involved in cat rescue.

My mom had brought her cat there and she was insanely rude to her not once but twice. Do not recommend at all. Please think twice before going here.

Katie is absolutely the best!!! I had never left my pets with anyone other than family. I have two golden retrievers, a skittish, shy cat, and a beta fish. Katie came to my home for a meet and greet prior to the dates I needed a pet sitter. My two golden retrievers took to her right away. I knew immediately she would be perfect. She stayed in my home while I was away for my son’s wedding. She would update me with text messages and photos on how all the pets were doing throughout each day. I was able to enjoy my son’s wedding and never once did I worry about my pets. When I returned home, she had left very detailed reports cards for each pet for each day she cared for them. She also left my pets gifts, along with a thank you note. She did things that I did not even expect of her, such as taking out the trash and washing the bed linens and towels she used while staying in my home. I will absolutely always call Katie whenever I need a pet sitter. She is punctual, friendly, very detailed, experienced, professional, polite, and wonderful with the pets she cares for.

Katie is incredible! She is kind, thorough, attentive, responsive and animals love her. Plus she makes planning and paying super easy (appreciate being able to use Zelle or Venmo)! I contacted Katie with a last minute request to take care of my Mom's cat while she was in the hospital. She responded quickly and was even willing to adjust her schedule to accommodate my request. The cat is super skittish - but came out to say hello to Katie. She's an animal whisper. :) She took great care of the cat and even went above & beyond by purchasing more litter when I was running low. WOW! is all I can say about the incredible care and service my pup (Sophie) received this summer when Katie stayed in our house to dog-sit for a week. Sophie is an older dog who does not get along well with other dogs and cannot be crated. She's a little quirky and we needed someone who understood her. During the meet and greet, Sophie fell in love with Katie- nothing but tail wags and kisses; it was clear Katie was able to speak Sophie's language. While we were gone, Katie sent us pictures of the pup. Sophie always looked happy. When we returned home after a week, Katie had left daily report cards for Sophie's activities each day we were gone. When we arrived home, the house was immaculate and Sophie was a happy girl- but she would still go into the guest room and look for her new best friend, Katie, for a couple of days after we returned. Katie cared for Sophie and our house as if they were her own and we could not recommend her more or give her high enough praise. She went way above and beyond what we expected and we couldn't be more grateful. Be prepared for your pet to be treated like royalty when Katie comes to take care of them- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We are so happy that we found Katie for help with our two labs. We needed her support during the day because we ended up with a couple work days that were too long to leave them. Katie was amazing! She sent pictures and videos, left adorable doggie report cards, and the dogs LOVE her! I moved to the area a couple of years ago and struggled to find a pet sitter that I could trust to take care of my fur babies (with special needs) while I was on vacation. I am thrilled that I found Katie. She is absolutely the BEST! Not only did she keep me up to date on the day to day goings on, she kept a daily log to track all medicines she administered and wrote a daily report card for each of my pets. On top of that, she went above and beyond with little things, that together were big things. I highly recommend Katie!

BEST PET SITTER EVER!!!!!! Katie did so much for my two kitties for the week we were away; from daily photos/videos and updates, to even throwing a little 4th of July themed birthday party for the kitties!! I have quite high expectations for anyone watching my babies, and she exceeded them entirely. Katie is amazing! She’s walks my puppy during the day so he can get some energy out and get some exercise while I’m at a work and let me just say he looks SO SO SOOOO happy in all of the pictures she sent!
