We've left our dog with K9 twice now and been so impressed with their customer service. They have been so prompt, friendly, and accommodating of our requests and seem to genuinely care about our dogs' wellbeing. The instagram account is also super cute and keeps us up to date all weekend. Our pup is over the moon as soon as he sees the building!
Fantastic dog resort! My little Dachshund Olive had a blast on her last boarding stay. The staff are wonderful and caring.
I was told on the phone I could come view the facility and see where my dog was going to be staying. When I arrived, Instead of being welcomed inside for a tour, I was not allowed to come inside! She (Ayla?) showed me some pictures of what the facility is supposed to look like inside. That's not good enough, sorry. What are they hiding? There should be full transparency. I for one would never leave my dog at a place that appears to have something to hide.
We love a facility that “loves” animals, cares for them and understands them. Yet discriminates against a full breed. Really shows the lack of knowledge around animal behaviour.
Our pup, Lewis, stayed at K9 Country Cottage for ten nights and we just cannot say enough good things about our experience. We’ve never left him with anyone but family (and he’s 8!) so were a bit apprehensive leaving him with anyone. The K9CC team were INCREDIBLE and Lewis had so much fun while we were away. They were all so great at sending updates and photos and you can tell he’s had as much fun with them as we did on our trip. We’re so happy to have found a place on the island where Lewis is excited to visit again and again!
I had an appointment and went for a meet and greet with my 2 dogs. All we did was stand outside and talk, they were relying on me to describe my dogs temperament, which is terrific, but other dogs might not have such good temperaments and I have no idea if they will be properly assessed. My main issue was that we were not allowed to go inside any part of the facility to see what it is like and where my dogs would be spending their time. This was a great big RED FLAG for me!
We were in the Victoria area recently and had our dog at K-9. We were a little nervous about leaving our dog with strangers on day one but our dog was excited to come back on the second day. The care was great, the staff very accommodating to our needs and the value for the level of care is amazing. Thanks so much Tracy and Sue. We hope to return.
I submitted an official complaint on August 15, 2022 after picking my dog up from his weekend stay. And I have received no response from the manager/owner so I feel it is necessary to submit my honest review. My dog sustained a serious injury to his hind leg during his stay, and he didn’t receive any vet care and I wasn’t notified via telephone regarding his change in health status. K9 Country Cottage completely ignored my special care instructions I had provided on his boarding admission papers. I specifically asked that my dog receive light exercise only and I received an email indicating my dog has a limp and it’s probably due to receiving “a lot of play time.” Please don’t take your dog here if they require any sort of special care (e.g., medically fragile, diabetes, seizures, hip dysplasia of any degree, etc). I submitted an official complaint to the owner/manager on August 15th and I haven’t received any kind of response. When I picked up my dog on August 15th, he could barely walk or stand. He looked incredibly uncomfortable. He should have received an assessment, at the very least. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I am extremely disappointed in the care my dog received during his stay… he deserved better.
Our doggie Beans loved it here. The check in process was straightforward and the place is new, stylishly decorated and clearly good for doggies of all shapes and sizes. The pricing is reasonable and the people in charge clearly care about your furry friends. Will definitely be visiting again in the future! If I could give 6 stars I would!
These great people got me out of a total jam after my little dog got refused at the airport unexpectedly and couldn't fly with me. I had literally 20 minutes to scramble and sort things out before my plane boarded. I am so appreciative of their willingness to help me at the last minute.
Always a great experience - Team Animal Inn, thank you so much for your amazing, seamless care of our dog. I never have to worry about her when she's there, which makes vacation and work travel time much less stressful.
This family owned business is amazing. We felt very comfortable leaving our babies here while we explored the island. They even sent us photo updates. We will be using them again!
Our pup Katy seemed to have a fine time being day boarded at Animal Inn. It’s in a great location. The staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely use them again.
A lovely spot that clearly loves animals big and small. Clean and super well run. Would’ve given five stars but was charged a $50 late fee for being only 12 minutes lates past check in. Frustrating since this is when the 4:30 ferry gets you in. And felt excessive since it’s only $40/day for the boarding.
Wonderful service. Even though they couldn’t accommodate the dog for the dates I was asking, they called me back and gave some pointers on who might be able to help. Very impressive given that it’s a small island and it might be difficult to find boarding. Really appreciated it and will check back next time.
These people are very professional and very accommodating. At last minute they took in our doodle Max. They needed all the right paperwork for vaccinations and were adamant for the safety of the other animals. Max needed one of his vaccines administered due to it being almost a year and the vet stepped in and gave him the shoot just so he can board for the day. The lady that owns it was very nice and the 2 gals that worked the front office were very sweet. Their facilities were clean and lots of open space for animals. I would trust my dogs or animals with them anytime. Safe source and service right here.
Wonderful people, great service, our girl, Frankie comes home happy and safe.
We are so lucky to have this business on the island! It is run so professionally, and the staff all truly love dogs and take awesome care of the boarders. They're meticulous with paying attention to detail as well. My dog loves to go here :)
Wonderful, caring staff. My puppy loves everyone at Animal Inn. It is reassuring to know that she is happy and safe. Outstanding and highly recommended.
These folks care about your pets. We could not have been more comfortable by their attentive nature before and during the time we dropped off our two dogs. More importantly, our dogs were not stressed out when we picked them up after 4 days in the care of the very loving staff. Annie and Snoopy say thank you and we thank you as well.
