Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left ā our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.
There are not enough words in the English language to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and all the amazing love and care she showed my sweet cat Milo. From the moment she met Milo, I knew there was going to be a very special bond. He instantly relaxed when he first met and already looked so happy and at peace with her. The bond between the two of them only seemed to get stronger and stronger with every day that I was away. This two-week trip was so important for me as it was the first real "vacation" I had taken in a few years. I was in desperate need of a mental and physical break and knew that in order to have a true "time off', I needed to feel completely at peace with Milo being well-taken care of. Well my prayers were answered as Teresa was the "cat whisperer" I was hoping for. I could not have asked for a better, more compassionate, self-reliant, and intuitive sitter ! Teresa was also so diligent in sending me her daily picture and video updates of my cat. With every picture and video I saw, I knew that Milo was so happy being with her and I never worried for one minute while I was away. What a gift ! Teresa was also a serious life-saver for me as literally an hour before I was leaving for my trip, I found out my cat's tracker app was not working and after a few emails and phone calls, we found out the tracker's server was down. Teresa took the initiative to follow up with getting the tracker to work again which was a HUGE stress-relief for me . She is not only wonderfully savvy with animals but also with technology as well ! I feel so fortunate to have Teresa in my life now, not only as an amazing sitter for Milo but also as a wonderful friend for life! Thank you, Teresa for everything.... Milo and I so appreciate you .....
Cung is a diligent and communicative cat sitter and house guest, and we'd highly recommend him! We hope to have him back again soon
Sharon and Milton are two of the nicest people I've met in my life. This is my first time having a sitter fly in from out of state and it was so simple, stress-free, and didn't affect any part of me getting ready for my trip, leaving for my trip or returning from my trip. Sharon was very communicative before, during and after I returned. It just couldn't have been more wonderful! If you're considering applicants stop looking and choose Sharon and Milton. They are just delightfully wonderful wonderful people!! They go above and beyond just housesitting and pet sitting! Tidy, clean, respectful down to earth and the most kind and loving people. I do believe Milton really is a cat whisper!! They slept with my sweet babies, and even followed silly grooming instruction on one of my cats. Would have them sit for me absolutely anytime.
Kathryn was amazing. She helped me figure plans out after another sitter dropped out at the last minute and saved the day! My cat and fish were well taken care of, and she was super communicative when my tank had a problem child moment. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, helpful, and caring sitter!!
We literally cannot say enough positive things about Susan and Miranda! They are the best! From start to finish, they did an amazing job communicating with us, giving our 3 (somewhat needy) cats extremely high quality care and tons of attention, and keeping our house clean and plants watered. They took adorable pictures of the cats and sent them to us several times a day, played with them and gave them so much love and affection, and when we got home the house was even cleaner than when we left. We even asked them for some tips on how they were caring for the cats because our cats seemed happier and more relaxed than ever when we returned home to them! This was by far our best cat/house sitter experience to date. We hope Susan and Miranda are available again in the future to sit for us and would invite them back without hesitation.
Hannah and Joseph were brilliant sitters - totally reliable and trustworthy. Quick to respond to queries and their past experience with dog/ housesitting was very apparent. Our 2 dogs and 1 cat were well looked after and the house was spotless on our return. We are totally happy to recommend them.
Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ā
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!

Teri has been caring for our three Great Danes and cat for the past five years Our dogs and cat are part of our family and Teri shows the same love and affection to Dudley, Mary, Oliver and Marshal as we do. Our āboys and girlsā respond to teriās daily arrivals with excitement and happiness. For all of us pet owners, we know they can have keen ability to judge people - our dogs and cat love Teri because she loves them. If you want a dependable, loyal, and trustworthy caregiver for your pets (āfamily membersā) you could not find a better person than Teri.
Terri has taken care of all of our dogs since we moved to Florida five years ago. She is so good with our girls and is extremely reliable. I never have to worry when she is watching them. She spends time playing with them, doesnāt just run in and out for a bathroom or meal break. She always sends us pictures too so we can see our pups while away and her pricing is very fair. Highly recommend her services.
I have known Teri, the owner for over 20 years. She is very caring of all animals. She's also a vet tech which is nice when caring for your pets while you're away. She even rescues baby squirrels and hand feeds them when left behind by their momma or fell out of a tree. She has alot of knowledge when it comes to animals especially dogs and cats. She has several pets of her own including a tortoise, multiple dogs, cats, ferret, Guinea pigs and a large fish tank. She loves what she does and provides good carešš¾šš©ššæš š»
Teri is a wonderful dog walker and sitter. She is reliable, conscientious, and really loves animals. I would highly recommend her.
Teri takes excellent care of our pet. When we were unable to care for our pet due to medical emergencies Teri dropped everything to take our pet for an extended period of time.
I was walking by the owner of this business and she was yelling, cursing, and calling a dog names. I was very concernced and confused but saw the bumper sticker and found out she was the owner.
This place is fantastic!! I had been to another facility before, this place is LIGHT YEARS ahead of some of the other facilities. My dealings with Paws Inn Paradise has been exceptional. The Front Desk is always professional and courteous, and they are busy, but they are always attentive. I bring my dogs for Doggy Daycare and Boarding when needed, and I would not consider any other place. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a fantastic facility for your animals.
Christmas Eve and pickup the 26th. My 4 mo puppy was so happy being dropped off and picked up. The people are fantastic. You explain any concerns, mine was rough housing with other dogs. They wrote everything down and when picked up you are told a review. Clean, very well kept and they have video cameras. I was extremely happy with my pups experience and will definitely board there again. Book early bc they fill up quickly. I got a cancelation just called in so was very fortunate. Highly recommend š.
This was my dogs previous daycare/boarding center! We recently moved out of the state which is the only reason we have stopped going. This was one of the best centers in the area! The staff was also so kind, I would see photos posted on their Facebook page of my dog so I would know he was having a great time playing with all his friends. The cameras are perfect for checking in and seeing how your baby is doing. The prices are very reasonable for boarding and for daycare. They also have things we added on like nail trimming or baths. He never came home with any injuries and when he did come home he would sleep for days. I would recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for a safe and trusting place to leave their fur baby.
What a fantastic place for dogs! This is the second time I have brought my foster dog Bucky in for doggy daycare and loved watching the live camera. I love seeing all the employees interacting with the dogs. This morning one of the girls was even dancing with them!!! So CUTE! They also offer pedicures (nail trims) for the dogs and are very friendly. I love the photos that the staff took as well. This is the place for your dog!!
On 9/29/2024. I had no electric I have GS called around Fri and Saturday to find a hotel for me and my dog Bruno I was more concerned about my dog. I called paws inn paradise Saturday morning. I am so grateful foe them I was able to bring my dog Bruno. I can't say enough about the service they were amazing every one was so kind. Thank you all so much you are all Amazing and Bruno is my king and was treated like a king. Michele Gallace
Ron, Owner/Founder, understands that are pets are family members not just pets. He ensures that his staff is trained to provide the most enjoyable experience for each and every one of our pets with the understanding of the anxiety they may face being away from home. They provide daycare, grooming, boarding, bathes, pool time and obedience training. I have utilized other daycare services for my dachshund and boxer before, but would never consider anywhere else but Paws Inn Paradise for their care.
The folks there care as much about my dog, as they do for their own pets!! My little French Bulldog is small, but she goes in with the big dogs, because SHE doesn't know she's small. Matilda definitely has BDE, Big Dog Energy!! Bring your gig for doggie daycare or boarding both services are grest!!
We board our dog, Dawson, here and refuse to go anywhere else! The owner, Ron, is the sweetest and the staff here is the best. They always go above and beyond! Our dog can be full of nerves while we are away, he sometimes gets diarrhea. We got a text and a voicemail with an update on his condition AND that they gave him a stool medicine to help with the runs (free of charge). This is just one incidence of their attentive and caring staff. They even have live camera feed that you can watch while your dog is enjoying playtime with the other boarded doggies. On a separate occasion, I accidentally arrived two hours before they opened to pick up my dog. While I waited in the car the owner had pulled up in their business truck and waved at me as I sat in the car. He came over and offered to have me come inside so he can take care of me , he simply couldn't have me waiting out there for 2 hours he said! This was the owner, Ron, and he made my whole day!
The folks that work here are simply the best! I was incredibly nervous boarding our dogs for the first time! Everyone was so kind and reassuring! I was able to get a room with a camera so I could check in on them whenever I needed to, which helped me so much! The dogs looked like they were having a great time in the toy room!
The most awful experience I have had. NEGLECT! NEGLECT! NEGLECT!! Less than an hour after I dropped my dogs off I received a call that they were being aggressive and theyād be monitored. For the next 50 hours my dogs sat in their room without a single walk or bit of attention from any staff member! THEY WERENāT WALKED ONCE! My dogs peed all over their blankets and floor and were forced to sleep in it! The staff had NO solution to clean it for them to have a clean area to sleep in. After day 1, the ONE water bowl they provided stayed dry! You can see on the video it was dry and when I went back to pick my dogs up I saw it was dry! We live in FLORIDA, itās 90+ degrees outside! How NEGLECTFUL! Itās HARD TO BELIEVE that an accredited facility wouldnāt have a solution for an aggressive dog outside of PURE NEGLECT! No water! No walks! What did I pay $250+ for???? The owner says their camera system records however he cannot provide me any footage of my dogs being cared for OR aggressive!! STAY AWAY! BOARD ELSEWHERE! They DO NOT care about your animals!!!!
I have a 2 1/2 year old Bernedoodle who went through the Reactive Rehab Program at The Doghouse and I could not be happier with Sadieā behavior! My biggest hope was Sadie would develop the confidence in herself and me so we could enjoy going out together in public areas without her reacting poorly to people and animals. Since Sadie has been back we have been able to do just that. We go to farmerās markets, downtown walks, lunch at cafes and stores where dogs are allowed. I have confidence in her and she in me and we are both living our best lives! I know I can text any questions that come up & I get a quick response from Carrie or Liz. I was apprehensive to leave Sadie for 3 weeks in the beginning, but my fears were totally unfounded, I wish I started the program earlier, she got the best care along with the best teachers! Thank you so much to everyone at the Doghouseā¤ļø
I am so thankful that I found The Doghouse!! My 16 month old, mini-golden doodle went thru the obedience foundation training. Before training, home-life was chaotic to say the least. My furbaby wasnāt getting the attention she required or the challenge she needed while I was glued to a computer and she picked up some less-than-desired behavior habits. I took her to doggie daycare to wear her out. she was wore-out for a couple hours and it gave me a break but I wanted and craved a better bond with her. I wanted to be happy being with her not happier sending her away! I cannot ever thank Liz (sheās amazing) Kerry, and the staff enough. We are 2 months out now and enjoying each other so much. Our bond has strengthened. There is no more uneasiness or anxiousness for either of us. She still goes to doggie daycare once a week but not to wear her out, itās to keep her social with other doggies! Weāve gone to restaurants, beaches and everyone canāt believe how well-mannered she is. Do yourself a favor and signup today! Itās the best investment for you and your furbaby!
āāāāā I canāt say enough good things about The Doghouse! From the moment I reached out for help with my GSD, I was met with professionalism and genuine care for both the dogs and their owners. Carrie has incredible knowledge and passion for what she does. She took the time to understand my dogās unique personality and tailored the training program accordingly. The facility is clean, spacious, and well-equipped, providing a perfect environment for learning. If youāre looking for professional dog training at the highest level and trainers that genuinely care about your dogās well-being and success, look no further than The Doghouse. Real results here!
These guys are MIRACLE workers!! We have a new dog!! I cannot recommend The Doghouse enough for your dog training needs. They listen to each and every issue you have with your dog, and address them in a caring, professional manner. We could not be happier!!
Carrie & Jordan, are probably the best owners I have ever dealt with concerning my dog. THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST TRAINERS TO GO TO. My dog Lexie loves going to train, as well as board. She loves Carrie and Liz. If you want to have your dog trained with someone who literally loves what they do, look no further these are the best trainers around. I especially love their approach to training. I love how Carrie & Jordan set an initial meet and greet with you. Then really listen to what your expectations are and if they are reasonable expectation. I like how they keep and train for 3 weeks. You get plenty of updates, pictures and a couple progress videos. And then after training you are encouraged to attend several group classes held at a dog park afterwards each month. LOVE ā¤ ā¤ ā¤ them...
My dog is a brand new guy! Before The Dog House, Hank was very reactive to other dogs. He was lunging and barking on walks, pulling on the leash, not responding to recall, and not being able to control his energy. Now it is clear that he knows his purpose in the house, he knows the rules and he seems much happier. Before training I could only walk him late at night when I knew there wouldnāt be other dogs and I couldnāt really take him anywhere. Now we can go wherever he want and he is incredibly well behaved. I donāt even feel like I am holding a leash he is so close to me, he doesnāt react to dogs anymore, looks to me for approval, immediately comes when I call him, and the place command has been incredible in the house. Now when we are eating he isnāt begging or panting next to me, he lays on his place when the doorbell rings or people come into the house and it is great. I am so grateful to his trainers!! They have been so helpful too with any questions Iāve had after training. So happy I chose them!
I recommend The Doghouse training to everyone I meet with dogs. My puppy went to Liz and Carrie with just about every issue you could imagine, and came back a completely different dog. While he is so sweet and smart, I didnāt have the tools or knowledge to create the mutual respect required for him to listen to me. Before, I was constantly addressing his behavior which made my life very stressful. Since coming home from his 3 week training, I can actually enjoy being around him and appreciate him so much more! We have a stronger bond now and he is the BEST boy! Heās happier, more confident and more content. I will forever be grateful for the work they did with him. Best money Iāve ever spent, hands down.
We signed our 7 month old Mini Golden Doodle Carlton up for the Dog House LLC Distraction program, working with Liz, and Carrie. We are utterly amazed at the discipline and how well Carlton is doing with the skills he learned. He is a totally different pup, He loves to show off his skills and wants to please us with everything he has learned. Our friends and family are truly in awe at all the things he has learned in such a short time. I recently was in the hospital for a 5 day stay and the hospital when I told them he had special training allowed him to come visit. He did fantastic, and the Nursing staff could not believe he was only 7 months old. It has been such a joy and so much fun working with Liz and Carrie. If you want a well behaved, happy dog, who you can bring anywhere and not have to worry about his/her behavior then I highly recommend the Dog House LLC's Distraction training program. Just check out all of the You Tube Videos of all the Pups that have passed through. We are so proud of Carlton!!! Attached are some pictures of his Place and Stay commands.
Our labradoodle, Augie, was once a wild and crazy pup! We had a trainer come to our house weekly for months! Even though Augie did learn some commands, he was very unreliable at following them. He also picked up some frustrating habits around the house, like barking and pacing around the pool while anyone was swimming. He also barked and lunged at the door or window at guests or passersby. He pulled at his leash relentlessly during walks, even after purchasing special leashes, like a "cinch" leash or the Gentle Leader head harness. As he grew larger, his size and strength became difficult to manage. Although mostly a very lovable pet, he bit once and almost bit the groomer. He was also a pain at the vet. We were prescribed trazodone for "stressful situations", like grooming, vet visits, and boarding. We were so excited to bring Augie into our home as our first family dog, waiting until our youngest children, twins, were nine years old...yet we were quickly feeling frustrated and overwhelmed at his behavior and wildness. The kids didn't want to see him rehomed, but they also didn't enjoy him very much. Our weekly dog trainer suggested a more focussed and consistent approach and referred us to The Dog House, Llc. At our initial consultation with Carrie, the owner and one of the trainers, we learned that Augie was a "reactive" dog and would benefit from their reactive dog program. She was very straight with us about every step: the type of equipment they use, how likely they could train Augie successfully, and how the program worked. There was even some talk about Augie being "not right" like maybe just genetically off. Carrie explained that they would know in the first few days and would prorate our cost should they find he would not be successful in the program. When Augie was 18 months old, we dropped him off for his three week boarding school. That was September 14...Augie came home on Oct 7 like a new dog! HE'S PERFECT!!!! Carrie and Liz- Liz is the other trainer-are miracle workers. Augie is 85 lbs. of fluffy, obedient love! He knows and consistently obeys his commands, even when our kids or grandma gives them. If he does make a mistake, we now have the proper strategy and tools to correct him and get him immediately back on track. He's no longer a frustrating beast to have around the house, but the world's best dog. I'm 100% sure we'll never have to give him trazodone again. What we especially love about our experience with Carrie and Liz is how they really treat their canine students like family, checking in periodically and most beneficially offering three follow-up group classes in with the tuition. We have one left yet, but we will be registering for occasional group classes in the future, for accountability and consistency. Augie seems to love them. For a dog that used to bark or growl at other dogs, we are still blown away at how well he does literally side-by-side with a dozen other well-trained graduates of all breeds, ages, and sizes. It is absolutely worth the investment to have a happy dog and family for years to come! Thank you so much, Carrie and Liz and the team at the Dog House:-)
Sending Hudson, our 2.5 year old standard poodle, to The Dog House, for Distraction Training, literally saved his life. The ultimate distraction happened this morning, when Hudson took off in the dark after a bunny. We were not far from a busy street. I lost sight of him, but thanks to his recall training and the use of his e-collar, he came back when called. Thanks to Liz and Carrie for teaching him and me what to do in a dangerous situation. I highly recommend The Dog House, not only for helping us avoid disaster, but for instilling good manners and making daily walks and other adventures a pleasure.
My old dog came here for boarding, and my new dog, Nikki, comes here for boarding and daycare. Sheās always well taken care of and always a happy camper! I love seeing their text updates through my pets stay here
I canāt say enough good things about Happy Camper! The staff couldnāt be better more kind and caring toward my dog Daisy and their customer service is wonderful. Iāve used the day care program, boarding, and grooming services many times and Daisy always canāt wait to go back. They know us both by name and are just as excited to see her! Trainers Dave and Rose are the best of the best and their training program is well worth the money. Best day care and boarding program in Tampa Bay!
Finn is a graduate of Happy Camper behavioral class, and he also spent two years in day camp until we retired. And he loved it. Today we had him groomed by Brittany, and we are extremely pleased with the results. We will be back in a couple of months when he will surely need another bath and haircut.
we have been coming to Happy Camper for almost 3 years old since our Bernie doodle was six months old. The staff is super friendly. It is wonderful to see a business that does not have a constant turnover in staff. Rose from the front desk is such a sweetheart. The activity calendar Ie absolutely historical. Best place in town for doggy daycare or boarding.
My dog Brodie has been coming to Happy Camper ever since he was old enough at 4 months old (he is now almost 2!). The staff is great and always friendly. Brodie runs inside every time we pull up, he loves it! Heās always so tired when he comes home from lots of playtime with his friends. We feel comfortable boarding Brodie at Happy Camper too, knowing that he is in good hands. When he sleeps over, we get daily photos of him that we always look forward to. When my husband and I moved to Tampa, we had to take him to a different camp because of the distance, but we noticed Brodie would not react the same, or run inside all excited like he does Happy Camper + he was also a bit standoffish with the staff. We were so glad we moved back to St Pete last year and Happy Camper is his daycare again!!
Both of our dogs have been going here for several years. Our older dog has been going here since she was a puppy, for about 5 years. Both dogs absolutely love it for the daycare as well as boarding. The staff is super friendly and amazing with the dogs. Would highly recommend to any family looking for a great place to send their fur babies. We have different temperaments for the two dogs, so if you're worried about placing them with appropriate play groups the are very aware of this and place dogs in appropriate play groups. The play groups are broken up by age of dog, size, and temperament. Also, love the birthday party packages and the pictures with Santa.
I was so happy we chose to board our dog at Happy Camper! This was the first time we were leaving him and for two weeks so I was very nervous. Happy Camper treated my dog like their own and he had so much fun! I got daily photo updates which really eased my nerves and I was able to see what he was doing! We could tell he was happy to be home but missed all the other dogs and fun activities he did every day. I will be bringing my dog back for daycare and any future boarding I might need!! Thank you Happy Camper for being so great to my pup :)
I wanted to give a HUGE thank you to the Happy Camper Family. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeableI, the facility is amazing, and I am beyond thankful to have Jax apart of your family! Itās been 6 months now since my fur baby first started coming here. They have everything from daycare, boarding, grooming, AND training. Jax just graduated obedience school with trainer Daveā¦ his new best friend. Heās definitely the dog whisperer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I also take Jax in for boarding and I get daily photos, videos, and updates with all the fun activities they set up for them. Truly a life saver, I constantly recommend them to anyone I know with dogs!!
I have taken my dog to a few daycares where she has slept over at. My pup has had terrible anxiety from them but never once has she acted anxious when staying at Happy Camper. I love the text updates that I get from them as well. It keeps my mind at ease. I know my little one has a lot of energy so I appreciate their patience! I plan to do a training class one day soon.
I moved here 2 years ago and needed somewhere to board my dog when I occasionally travel. The staff are great and sincerely care about my pup. That, with all of the photos and texts they send, really gives me peace of mind. We even take him for dog daycare just to socialize and get extra exercise. Can't wait to start bringing our new pup here, too! Thank you for being amazing with Enix (and soon Dewey).
We have used Bay Paws two times now for slightly extended stays. Both times went off without a hitch. Very accommodating staff and took very good care of our dog and cat for several days. Thanks guys!
I I was very glad to find a facility that offered a very clean space for my dog is reactive to other dogs. I did pay for one on one play, which Iām note quite sure happened as I checked ( obsessively) in the video system and my dog was always in his space, curled up in the same space. But I have to say I was very disappointed with his groom. He definetly was bathed and blown dry and his feet and nails were done. His face around his eyes was shaved and clean. His hair around his face looked the same as he came in. His beard was not trim and his tail was trimmed unevenly if at all.
I took my dog here for occasional doggy day care and boarding. My dog got a protozoa after his first boarding stay at Bay Paws with bloody diarrhea and a trip to the ER vet. I tried to give Bay Paws the benefit of the doubt, but to be cautious I backed off on doggy daycare for a while and took him to the vet for boarding. After some time, I gave Bay Paws another chance, because he enjoyed going and they have cameras. My dog did ok - on the positives he got to see his friends and I could check in on the camera when I wanted. On the bad side, one time he was sent home wet and smelling like urine. Another time after a several-day boarding stay, he was sent home with all his biscuits and treats when my instructions were to give him those occasionally and one before bed. He was also on pain meds to take with his evening meal, and I could see more often than not at night his bowl was full. I can't say for sure if he was getting his medicine separately. Things were up and down like this for a while. Recently, Taz was sent home with a pretty badly cut nose and no one told me. I called the next day and I was told he got into a scuffle and that the staff didn't see any damage so they cleared him. I don't see how they missed this cut. When I called it out, they didn't offer any apologies and said I signed a waiver so they wouldn't be held liable for any vet visits. That lack of empathy for my dog and rudeness made me angry and I won't be going back.
I did some research prior to moving from TN and reached out to Bay Paws while en route on my move to FL as I needed to board my sweet girl to head back to my old state to finalize loose ends. They got me set up while on the phone for boarding and daycare and when I showed up I was so worried my 1 year old pup would have separation anxiety as this was the first time weād be apart. Needless to say, she had the absolute BEST time that week and sheās now going to daycare on my busy work days as a result. I LOVED that they had webcams set up so I could check in on her, I honestly think I was missing her more than she was missing me. Haha when I picked her up to bring her home after a few days, she tried to climb out the window because she did not want to leave! She loves Bay Paws and the staff loves her just as much! I 1000% recommend Bay Paws to anyone and everyone looking for either boarding or daycare - the staff is so caring, the facility is always pristine and clean and the staff are beyond what I could ask for while caring for my baby girl! You wonāt regret this decision and I know that Coco and I sure donāt; she is obsessed with this location and I love that for her! PS: I love that they sent me photos from one of their pool pawty days, she definitely thrives being around these other furry babies.
I regret to write this review because we loved bay paws 2 years ago. I wrote a raving review on Google, how amazing they were with our big German Shepherd, who is very skittish. However, every time since then we have been hit with unprofessionalism, chaos, missing files, and records lost every single time when my dog is brought in, when at time of setting appointment we are told that everything is current. We drive a half hour each way to bring our dog here. As of July of this year dogs are now apparently required to have a flu shot. If I wonāt put the flu shot in myself or my families body why would I put it into my animals? Why would they not let us know at the time of making the appointment and tell us know that all vaccines are current? We made a vet appointment specifically to update him on all of his shots and the flu vaccine was not even mentioned at his vet office. When we took our dog in today and all the files were missing once again we learned that they have him in the computer as a Yorkie. The front desk lady spoke to the manager whom was very rude and told her to just send us home. Wave your money and your time. They have gone downhill tremendously.
Great first time experience for us and our dog. From customer service, cleanliness, safety, engagement, grooming, daycare, service options, and piece of mind with camera views. We will be back!
Lifesavers!! We just moved to Clearwater from Atlanta. Drove for two days. My pets were exhausted and stressed. Bay Paws allowed us to bring them there for the day for rest and play time while we moved in and unpacked. My pets loved it there. Thank you for taking care of our babies. They will be back soon.
We boarded our cat at Bay Paws for several days. The staff took excellent care of him. Not only were his basic needs taken care of, he was taken out to be played with and snuggled several times a day. Bay Paws is extremely clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. We were sent several photos and videos of our little Peter while we were away. It put our minds at ease.
I never write reviews, but I'm compelled to write this review because I'm still extremely upset with the treatment my puppy received on his last few days at this facility. There seem to be a disconnect between the front office staff and the boarding staff. You provide your boarding instructions to the office staff, however the boarding staff refuses to follow the directions. I had to call several times to request the staff keep my puppy in his jacket to stay warm and comfortable, because they kept removing his jacket. Everytime i called the office staff was cery sweet and would say, yes, no problem, they would take care of it, but it would only last for half a shift. I also requested they remove the water bowl from his kennel as I don't leave water in his kennel at home and he is a puppy and will drink until he can't drink anymore, and also knock the water over. I witnessed on Baw Paw dog boarding camera my puppy spill his water container in his kennel and water went all over his blanket and kennel floor. I called the after hours boarding staff and advised her that the water container was not supposed to be in his kennel and that someone needed to go clean up the water on the floor. I see the staff on camera go inside his kennel and refused to interact with him as he was happ someone was there and was jumping up, she yells at him and throws down the towel in the kennel and left the floor wet all evening. She also left his water bowl in the kennel all evening again as well. Extremely unacceptable to treat my puppy this way.
I love Bay Paws and the people there - so much! It is the only place I trust to take the best care of my little dog Cookie. All the dogs I see coming and going are happy. And Cookie gets good exercise while interacting with all the other dogs. I can always check in on her - in the play yard or in her mini-suite by logging in on my phone. It is very comforting to be able to see her any time, day or night.
This is our dogsā second home. Our dogs are very shy but every time we drop them off they pull to greet Chris and enter his home as if it were their home. Both Chris and his wife are very sweet and have a large yard. We highly recommend Pinellas Pups!
Chris was amazing taking care of my three dogs, one of which has fear-based aggression towards other dogs. While in his care Chris worked with my aggressive dog and was able to calm her enough so that she was able to socialize with other dogs. My dogs were very well taken care of in Chrisās care. They came home healthy and happy. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur babies Chris! We will see you again soon.
Nancy has been pet sitting for my husband and I for more than three years. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, dependable, conscientous person! I am 100% confident that our beloved cat is well cared for and loved when Nancy is caring for our Layla.
Nancy is hands down the best pet sitter ever!! I'm a crazy pet parent to a senior kitty who's normally super shy. Every sitter throughout the years never saw my sweet Helena...just a lump under the covers on my bed, or hiding under the bed. Nancy is the ONLY sitter in 16 years who Helena not only comes out for, but snuggles, purrs and loves on. She's my "Helena-whisperer". Nancy is highly dependable, reliable and trustworthy with fur babies. If you want the BEST for your pet, look no further. Hire her fast before she's all booked up.
Nancy is amazing! I've had her cat sit for me for almost 3 years and I always know they are so well taken care of and loved when I'm away! She does such an amazing job! I'm always so confident with her and she is so flexible with my absolutely crazy schedule! Always a joy! I won't leave St. Pete mainly because of her and the peace of mind I get! Thank you Ms. Nancy!!
Nancy has been sitting for us for almost 3 years. She is the best! Our dog, Daisy, absolutely adores her. It's hard when you cant take your pet with you. I feel so much better knowing Daisy is well taken care of by someone we trust. She came over before the first visit to meet Daisy and bond with her. We always joke that Daisy is sad when we come home because that means Nancy isnt coming anymore š.
We wouldn't trust our pets, a Sheltie and 2 17 yo cats, with ANYone else. Nancy is very hands on and gives our pets love and personal care. HIGHLY recommend!
Nancy is absolutely amazing! Wonderful personalized care of my sweet kitty.
Very professional.
Thank you Nathan š¶š» ā¦
Absolutely the best decision I could make when it came to the care of my beloved family member, Sloane kitty. Professional, personal service. Jennifer sent pictures, was communicative and helpful. We had peace of mind knowing our girl was in good hands. We will continue to use Nuts about Mutts and highly recommend for a great resource.
Jen was so thoughtful and Buddy loved her. She provides all the information you need as a pet parent to keep up on his health, behavior and fun!!! Buddy loved running with her in the AM. She jumped in to help me while I was extremely ill and needed the support. I HIGHLY recommend her!!
To All Pet Owners, my husband and I have over 3 decades of owning dogs, dogs, birds, dogs, dogs, birds, and dogs, dogs, dogs. At this time in our lives, we have no family to sit with our dogs when needed, nor neighborhood friends who can take them in their homes. We have relied on boarding at our Vets, but always preferred to have our dogs remain in our home. We tried that too, and just did not work out - people not being with our dogs when they said they would, charging us when not here (found on video camera), and more unsatisfactory experiences. Still, we searched on, committed to find "the right and best place" for our new dogs: puppy Ogden, with us now for 4 mos, and 8 yo adopted Molly, with us now for 5 months and immediately loved Ogden as her own. They are both happy, healthy and loving life with us - we had to find a loving home that would care for them as we do. And we found them: Jen McKay's Nuts About Mutts!!! We found her business card in our neighborhood park where we walk and run our dogs and my husband saved them, and made the call the day before our trip, for which we were planning boarding at our Vets when I just was so worried to leave them because they would have to board longer than needed, but also caging them up. We called Jen at 8am and by 11am we were at her beautiful, comfortable, welcoming and pet-safe home for us and our bassets to meet her and see her home. We made the decision then to have our Ogden and Molly stay with her the next day for the duration of our trip with Jen's newly adopted 8 yo Nala, and another pup - Magnolia - 3 girls with our boy Ogden. Jen's intake process was refreshing - crossing all the "T's" and dotting all the "i's" for assuring their seamless care in her family home. Ogden sniff out toys, toys, toys, while Molly sniffed out food and treats. Jen provided such a welcoming and comforting home environment that was fully set up for a safe and secure temporary home for mutts! It was obvious from the start how much Jen loves pets and to have them in her family home from the toys, safe chews, bedding, room to roam-run-play inside and outside, and places to rest and sleep. While Molly is not one to sleep in bed with us, Ogden does. And Ogden slept in bed with her. Jen updated us throughout the days and evenings and sent pictures. We are 200% happy with her care of our new family and know that Jen McKay is the pet sitter that we have been searching for all these years - to be able to leave our pups with her and have full confidence in her care for them is the desire we all have and share in common - to know they will be in a loving environment and will have loving hands on them until our return. Jen was fully accessible to us, to drop off and pick up - even into the night. If she had to evacuate while we were gone overseas, across the country, our dogs would be with her - that is the confidence she provides to pet owners. We have promised Ogden and Molly that Jen's home will be their second home in St. Pete FL - for short and long stays and day care to play with others and have more friends. If you have a need for a pet sitter, any time, any day, my husband and I are delighted to recommend Jen McKay to you and your pets. She will even come to your home, stay in your home, if that is your preference. She is licensed, insured and has full background check, and is retired Veteran, serving our great Country for us and others to be free. To Ms. Jen McKay, thank you, thank you, thank you. Pat and Chris, Molly and Ogden. 08-14-24
Jen is awesome! She stayed at our house with our dogs for 4 nights. She sent us updates and lots of great pictures. The pups were clearly having a great time with her. She asked about their quirks, behavior, medications, favorite toys & behaviors so they could be at ease with her. We felt very comfortable with her in our home. She even watered the plants & brought in the mail. Highly recommend Jen for your pups happiness while youāre away.
Finding Jen and her Nuts about Mutts pet sitting service was a blessing in disguise! The daily updates, pictures, and videos helped put our minds and hearts at ease when we traveled without our new rescue pup. He had a blast with the other dogs in a safe and caring environment, and itās clear that our sweet boy was in the best of hands and made to feel āat homeā with Jen and the āpackā. Looking forward to using Jen again in the near future.. highly recommend her!
Jen was wonderful! My pet sitter cancelled last minute before my trip and Jen luckily had a cancellation. She had me and my dog, Emma, come for a visit prior to her stay, so that we (my dog and I) would both feel more confident. She really cares about her boarders and this helped me feel more at ease that Emma was in good hands. I loved getting the daily photos and updates! Jen is the best, and I will definitely be using her again!!
Jen is wonderful, we are so glad to have found her! Our dogs are our babies, so weāre *very* particular when it comes to our dogs. Additionally, one of our dogs can be reactive with other dogs & has a few health issues that require daily meds (and a watchful eye). Having read other reviews I was hopeful Jen would be a good fit for our needs. The meet + greet went so well and relieved my concerns. Jen is thorough, experienced and serious about everyoneās safety and happiness. Fast forward to our trip, she honored our preference of daily updates with pics of happy dogs in a cozy home. We were shocked to see our āreactiveā dog hanging happily with the crew a few days into their stay. You can tell she truly loves all the fur babies that come into her home. The boys are thankful for their new Aunt Jen!
Jen is the best! Our dog, Luke, can be shy with strangers, but he fell in love with her right away when she came over to meet him before the pet sitting even began. It was our first time leaving him with a sitter, and we were nervous because he isnāt the easiest dog, but felt so much better after meeting Jen and seeing how he took to her. Jen gave him all the love he would have gotten if we were home with him, and kept us feeling confident with regular updates and pictures of our boy having a great time. It allowed us to have such a relaxed trip knowing Luke was well taken care of. Weāll be using her again.
We highly recommend Jen McKay at Nuts About Mutts Pet Sitting. Our elderly dog, Dash had the best time. Jen made everything simple. Communication was clear, she texted us photos and updates. She listens and provides an amazing service. We now have a trusted resource to care for our baby while we travel. Best of all - she loved Dash, and Dash loves her!!!
Jen was amazing! We had to make last minute arrangements for someone to take care of our very big fur kid and Jen was incredible. She was quick to respond and was very on top of things. She organized a schedule, provided a stress relief toy, sent pictures on every visit and even checked ears when she noticed some head shaking. What could have ruined and ended our vacation was resolved as a result of Jenās professionalism. If you want to feel at ease about someone else caring for your fur kids, work with Jen!
Pete did an amazing job in caring for our 3 dogs, each with different personalities and needs. The love and affection he showed each one was amazing. We were so lucky to have our fur babies in Pete's wonderful care for 3+ years. He became a trusted friend and guardian to our entire family!
We have had Pete helping us care for our two fur-babies for over a year. He has been very prompt, caring and attentive to their needs while in his care. They are very independent cats who enjoy their own company but love to see him and spend some time playing 'chase the feather' and such! Pete also reports on his visits with photos and notes any issues that might arise. We recommend him to all you pet lovers out there!
Pete did a great job watching our cats over the holiday. He definitely went above and beyond expectations from pet sitters we used on Rover. He gave us daily updates as well. We will reach out to him again.
I have used Pete on several occasions to watch my dog. He is compassionate, trusting and very caring. He will even take pictures of your fur babies and send them to you for updates and peace of mind. I highly recommend using Pete. He will do any length of visit/care for your pets!
Pete is wonderful and attentive. Its always hard to leave your pet in someone elses care, but Pete really fills that gap.
My wife and I are always bragging to family and friends about Pete's Perfect Pet Care. Our cats have medical needs and Pete has no problem with administering their medication. He also makes sure to spend plenty of play time with them during each visit. Our one cat Boo is.....well.....let's just say she's doesn't appreciate strangers. Even Boo is pals with Pete! We all miss our pets when we travel so Pete text pictures during play time. It's really a nice touch that we greatly appreciate. It's hard finding someone to trust with your babies. We haven't worried about leaving them home now that we have Pete to take care of them for us. Thank you for all you do Pete!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!
Pete is absolutely amazing! Pete took care of my dog Loxi while I was gone and he is fantastic! He goes above and beyond with everything he does. Pete doesn't just watch your animals, he loves and cares for them like their his own. I would never use anybody but Pete again!! Thank you Pete!!!
Pete is an absolute animal lover. He will take care of your pets like they are his own... donāt skip vacations because you have nobody to watch your pet... Your pets will love him... I highly recommend Peteās perfect pet care!!!
Pete has taken care of my Marley, a 4 yr old Shiba Inu, several times. Pete is compassionate, reliable and trustworthy. He's on time, sends pictures of Marley and updates. I highly recommend Pete's Perfect Pet Care!
I have never used a pet sitter before and wasn't sure if it was worth it. Well I fund out it was well worth every penny, Pete is great with my cat Spike, who is very reluctant to let anyone into his personal space. Not only was he able to befriend Spike, but was able to spend time playing with him and giving him a little affection. The other nice thing is Pete checks over the house and will bring in the mail, so he also gives your empty house the look that someone is home. When i came home, Spike wasn't stressed out and he acted like I never left. Will definitely use Pete again.
Whenever we travel and are unable to take our dog with us, family members watch him. For our most recent trip, our family was unavailable. My dog is my baby, and I was super nervous to try boarding with someone else. I reached out to Miriam based on her phenomenal reviews. She responded promptly to my inquiry and was very friendly. We did two ātrialā daytime daycare visits before overnight boarding. For the actual boarding, My dog had the best week ever!! More importantly, I survived the week as well! Haha! Miriam is amazing! Anytime I texted her for updates she not only responded but sent pictures. Thank you Miriam! Cooper canāt wait to come visit again.
Cozy Doggie House is such a wonderful, clean, and safe place for dogs! Miriam takes awesome care of my little senior dog every time! Whether thatās for grooming, day care or overnight stays- he is always so happy & relaxed after. Iām very particular with who cares for my dog but Miriam is definitely someone I trust for that! we will definitely always come back here š
Cozy Doggie House is the first place Zensu has ever stayed for doggy daycare while I went to the beach & the Salvidor Dali museum. Miriam is also the first person, other than me, who has ever groomed him. What a great experience for us because of her excellent care! She has such loving respect & understanding of dogs PLUs great customer service with humans. Her back yard garden is a little paradise. Thank you Miriam. š¶š¾š„°š¤
Miriam is a great person, friendly, kind and caring. She took care of my baby boy! I would definitely recommend her to others for her services.
Miriam took great care of our Scarlett. Great communication and safe backyard for the dogs to play!
I've had a great experience utilizing the services provided by Cozy Doggie House. Miriam is very kind and is such a wonderful host for all the doggies in her care. My two dogs enjoy playtime in her beautiful backyard. It is obvious that she really loves what she does. I will definitely continue to take my dogs there and would recommend her to anyone in need of quality doggie care.
I recently moved to the Clearwater area and found Miriam online and after a few day visits we left our dog at her place for the holidays. Penelope loves Miriamās and she does a great job catering to each dogs needs! Penelope came home happy and healthy and thatās the most important thing to me. Highly recommend her services!
Very happy with Miriam ā¦ she loves your dog as much as you do. She did a great job grooming our poodle with attention to detail. Weāll be boarding our dog with her because she has a cage free, stress free environment and has plenty of room for the dogs to run around in her fenced in space. Happy we found this caregiver.
Updated to add: my rat terrier just came back so happy! Weāve been using Cozy Doggie House for 2 years now and they keep delivering an amazing service. They even renovated the area and dogs are secure and well taken care of. 1000% recommended Miriam is the best. She took care of my rat terrier for over two months and she sent me pictures whenever I needed them. I canāt recommend her enough, she really cares about pets, all her family are dog lovers so she was raised with all their love and she transmits that love and confidence to them. She also give them baths and pamper them! Is such a relief for me, I would have never ever left my dog if it was not with her. You wonāt regret it!
I was in a pinch, and Marian helped me out. She seems to have a very good understanding of dog behavior, and I felt comfortable leaving Oscar with her. She also responded promptly whenever I asked for an update. I would definitely recommend Marian and plan to use her services again in the future.
J. Tails is the absolute best! My girl is always so excited to see her friends and play. The staff is always sweet and kind. Pick up and drop off is fast and seamless. I look forward to seeing Poppy's daily report card and being able to check in on her via the cameras through out the day. I know she is in great hands there, and the staff treats her like she was their own.
Our dog had an amazing first day at J. Tails in Saint Pete! We love to support a local business in our community and they are such a cool local doggie daycare! My process for making sure everything was ready for our pup Reba was easy using the website they have available for signing up. Rebaās first day was free which was really awesome, and makes the experience risk free. Itās important to have your dogās vaccines up to date, and then I just took a picture of the records and uploaded them to their doggie portal. Then when you go to sign your dog up for anything you can go online, pay for the day, pay for extra treats, etc and itās all ready and organized for you. That way when you go to get your dog, thereās no cash or cards you need to take out & hand over while youāre trying to get your dog(s) at the end of the stay. The prices are great, the daycare is definitely smaller in terms of the number of dogs, which was great for us because our dog is a little intimidated by being in a high volume daycare. Listen I know that may make me sound like Iām a crazy dog lady! But I think some would understand that our dog is a Pit Mix, so it can be stressful for dog owners with Pitties to drop them off at the groomers or daycare because of the misconceptions about the breed. If she barks or gets anxious, I have seen some people react out of fear. But we have worked very hard on training her for a year and we know how loving and sweet she is. So it was a huge huge relief that everyone at J. Tails was understanding and went above & beyond to make us feel they were familiar with dogs like herā sweet and gentle dogs, but with lots of energy and often misunderstand. When I dropped off Reba I spoke with Mattie who was so kind! They helped Reba adjust to the new smells and environment before I left and they were so thoughtful and kind. During Rebaās temperament test and daycare visit, they texted us a picture of Reba in the kiddie pools having a blast with an awesome update of how she was doing! That was so sweet because I love seeing her having fun with the dogs instead of worrying if she is behaving or scared. When we went to pick her up, she was so excited to see us and she wasnāt scared at all. The folks at the front desk told us how much they loved her and that they had a great day getting to meet her. Seriously just the sweetest people working there, and you can tell everybody there are absolutely wonderful dog people who make sure your dog is safe AND having fun all day. They made us smile because they truly care about your animal. So we were very impressed. We are J. Tails customers now for sure! We used to bring our dog to a bigger less structured doggie daycare and we noticed that her behavior was regressing. By that I mean she was barking a lot more at people, she was nervous often, and though she did like going, she came home stressed and smelling like floor cleaner/sanitizer from the kennels. So we were really surprised and happy that by the time we got her in the car we noticed she didnāt smell like anything! I think her getting to go in the kiddie pool might have even made her smell cleaner than before we dropped her off š. Everything from the caring and thoughtful customer service, the easy enrollment and payment system, to the fact that you can watch live video feed of the dogs playing while they are at daycare (accessible only if you have a dog registered for that day)ā¦ We were just very happy and so impressed. Our family LOVES J Tails now and we highly recommend this daycare if you are looking for somewhere to bring your pup.
Easiest 5 star review Iāve had in a while! This doggy day care was exactly what we needed while on vacation. They really do take care of the dogs like they are their own, pricing is very reasonable, and you get these enjoyable āpupdatesā each day! You can also check on your pups via webcams once they are checked in for the day. Donāt hesitate to use this day care!
The staff is friendly and patient, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the pricing is very fair for the level of care. J. Tailās emphasis on safety and well being, as well as the ratio of dogs to human supervision (1 person per 15 dogs) helps me feel confident trusting them with my rambunctious boy. I also appreciate the enrichment activities they offer during nap timeāadorable and perfect for my high energy dog. Definitely looking forward to using their daycare and boarding services in the future!
I have a high energy dog that started out really nervous at daycare. After a few weeks going to J.Tails a couple times a week, he runs toward the door when we get there. They have small playgroups of dogs with similar size/temperament, a fun outdoor play area, and someone with their pups at all times. I love that I can check on him throughout the day on their cameras and I look forward to the photos and āpupdatesā they provide. We love J.Tails
I absolutely love JTails! They take such good care of my pup and I always get the cutest pictures of him on their Instagram. The staff is super sweet and I know they treat all the dogs so well! I never worry when my dog is under their care. They also offer very reasonable pricing and their facilities are kept nicely. I highly recommend! I also wanted to give a special shout out to Alex for always being so kind to Auggie! š„°
The staff at J.Tails are so loving and attentive when taking care of my pet. I recently overnight boarded my dog at J.Tails and never worried about his care. When I leave him for the day, he comes home exhausted from a fun day of play. I highly recommend J. Tails for taking care of your pets.
J. Tails is the best. We are so glad we found this place! We have now done the daycare and boarding service. The staff is very friendly and caring. I really appreciate the "pupdates" on how our dog behaved that day. They also have video feeds, which is a plus.
We like to drop our dog off for daycare during the week so she can socialize and get some exercise while we are at work. She is so excited to go every time and we know sheās safe and well cared for at JTails. The pupdates at the end of the day are awesome and they take so many good photos and videos.
Great experience for Rooās first day Temperament Test! Staff was efficient and caring. Communication was thorough and consistent. Great process for the best experience!
