Hilary was a fantastic pet sitter for our cat - you would be so lucky to have her care for your pet and home. She took exceptional care of her and our home. Hilary played so much with her and took the best care. She was communicative, easy to coordinate with, and left everything super clean for us when we came back. Five stars is understating how extraordinary she was - we cannot recommend her enough!!
Wow! Just wow! We cannot say enough about the care and compassion Trisha and John provided to our cats and our home. We are always somewhat nervous about a new pet sitter in our home, but that all faded when we met this wonderful couple. They provided daily updates as requested, complete with pictures, videos and personalized captions. Upon our return, we were greeted by happy and content kitties. There was no sign of anxiety in Tika! Yea!!! Our home was clean, the sheets and towels were washed and bed remade! They even left behind thank you notes and little gifts! What a breath of fresh air these two individuals are! We hope to have them back again soon.
Nathalie and John were great! They were great house sitters to watch our two dogs, 2 geckos, our old cat and bull frog. Their two girls took good care of the animals as well. The house was exactly how we left it. We really appreciated their help!
Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.
Raquel was simply terrific! She and her husband, Miguel, had to fill in at the last minute for another sitter who had a death in her family. This meant that the length of the stay and sitting they had originally signed up for doubled. Completely undaunted, they did a GREAT job for us. Our cat and dog got lots of love and affection, and plenty of exercise, food, and rest. Our house and yard were cared for with equal conscientiousness. It was wonderful for us to be able to rely so completely on these super zeewoi. We recommend them 100 percent!
Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. She is a true animal magnet and lover. I highly recommend Anna to anyone who wants their pets to recieve first class love while away.
Oh wow! Everyone should be so lucky to have Nicholas and Veerle watch their house and pets. These lovely people are pros! They communicated early and often, were super accommodating to some last minute changes (it was originally going to be only our cats to watch but we decided to keep the dog home as well so that added to the schedule and care needs) and they left the house spotless and all set up for another sitter who came in after them. We didn’t get the chance to meet because my departure and arrival times but I dearly hope I get to in the future because they were just great! I even heard how nice they were from My neighbors who say them out walking our dog. :-) They also sent regular pictures of the pets which look like pro-photography! Cannot recommend this couple enough! Your pets and house will be in good hands!
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Danny and Jo did a great job caring for our 3 cats and fish AND lots of plants (and home of course) while we were out of town for 3 weeks. We came back to a very clean house, sheets, and towels all clean and folded and fresh sheets on the bed they were using. The plants were all alive too, which is a first for us (again, we have a lot of plants!). The cats were happy to see us and they were all accounted for (a past sitter lost a cat for a week - they escaped outside as a non-outside cat). Everything was in its place and looked great. We received regular updates (via text) with photos of the cats lounging about which was important for us. Danny asked good questions when they visited us before the sit, and when reviewing our pet/house sitting instructions. The only thing we noticed that was different was that our 2 young cats were a little lighter (not necessarily a bad thing) but we understand that being gone for that length of time can be stressful on our furry family, which almost always affects their eating habits. All in all, we would definitely have them again!
We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $6/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
I drive from Reno to have "Auntie Cheri" take care of my 2 furbabies. They are always happy to see her & all worn out when it's time to go home. This is the BEST caring place EVER!🐾💞🐾 …
A Bed and Biscuit is great! Our dogs love it there and Cherie, the owner, loves dogs (and cats) and takes great care of all her guests. Kennels are spacious, well equipped, and there's lots of play time and free roam for the pooches. Plus, Cherie lives on site, a hard requirement for us. I won't leave our pets at a place that does not have someone on site 24/7. Highly recommended!
Cheri treats all the dogs like they were her own. Highly recommend bringing your pet here to try it out. We have been coming here for years, my dog is happy to go and happy when he returns home. Hours are convenient and she's flexible if you are in a bind. We get videos of our dog so that we can see all the fun he is having while we vacation. Can't say enough great things❤️
My girls have been there twice and both times they returned wagging their tails with joy.
Cheri is great with my dog. I feel good about leaving him for short playcare days or long vacations! She is also very reasonable in price. Thank you! Dodie L.
I have left my little Abby at Bed and Biscuit on several occasions. I am super happy with the treatment she recieved.she had a great time and was treated like a member of the family. I highly recommend Bed and Biscuit.
Sadly they don't take dogs over the weight of 30 pounds. But they were wonderful enough to give Recommended places.
We have used this Kennel for several years. I am so sad that they can’t accept dogs over I think 45 pounds anymore. We will miss this kennel.
Best doggie day care and best place for fur babies to stay while family on short/long vacations
Cherie is wonderful! Great with our two dogs.
Mary has been there for us in the drop off a hat. My husband requires treatment in SF and we literally have given Mary just hours notice that we need her and she never hesitates to be there. It's nice not to have to worry about my fur babies with her. They're in excellent hands. And she sends me pics of them which cheers me up. She also goes above and beyond with specific things needing to be done at the house (specific lights on, checking mail, garbage can day, etc.) I highly recommend her services, she's been incredible.
Mary watched our 7 cats while we were on vacation, and she did an amazing job! I got pictures of all kitties each day so I could see that they were ok. I could tell that she was nice to them because in the pictures, they really liked her. They enjoyed her company very much. She also made a photo collage of each kitty for me as a nice gift. It gave us a piece of mind to enjoy our vacation. I would highly recommend and will definitely use her services again in the future!
I feel so fortunate to have found Mary to provide care for my dog Doorstop while I am at work. She deeply cares for animals and is super reliable. I feel very comfortable and at ease, knowing that she is there to help. Doorstop loves his walks with Mary!!
Mary is the best sitter! She is very attentive, professional, affordable, and send me tons of update pictures so I didnt miss my kitty too badly while I was away.
If you are looking for a reliable and professional pet sitter. Look no further! We used Mary many, many times over several years and were never disappointed. The dog always went away with us but kitty stayed home and Mary visited daily, keeping Kitty fed and watered and loved! Sometimes we even got videos of Kitty’s play time. Although we no longer have our sweet old Kitty, we cannot recommend Mary any more highly! If you love your cat(s), you will love Mary! ♥️
We had Mary watch our cats and fish while we were gone on vacation. We are so thankful that we did. One of cat's became ill and Mary took her to vet for us, dealt with long phone calls and wait time. She kept us up to date on her condition through text messages and videos. She basically saved our cat's life and we owe her a debt of gratitude. She took special care of our ill cat and the others... We truly appreciate Mary and the service she provides...
Finding someone you trust to take care of a pet while you’re gone tends be stressful and difficult. I have a rescue cat who is a shy and nervous little guy. Because of his disposition, I didn’t want to board him and instead wanted to keep him home in a place he was comfortable and familiar with. Between his and my separation anxiety, I was really anxious about finding someone who would take care of him while my husband and I went on vacation. I am so beyond thankful I found Mary. Her initial house visit immediately put me at ease. We sat down and discussed everything, from the scheduled visits right down to every little detail. Her attention to detail and thoroughness of everything is really amazing. I wanted someone who would spend time with my cat instead of just “come to feed then leave,” so the fact there were options for the amount of time spend per visit was so appreciated. She also offered to take care of additional small tasks around the house while we were out, like watering plants and take out the trash, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. I knew she was a perfect fit when she got a few pets in from my cat — without a single treat !! I knew he was in the best possible hands. Mary was so wonderful while we were gone. She sent pictures and video updates with each visit so I could see how he was doing (the photo uploaded is one she sent me). She was communicative, responsive, and professional, and I am thrilled to have a go-to sitter whom I truly trust. I cannot recommend Mary or her business highly enough. Thank you Mary !!
We"ve trusted Mary's care for our pets for almost 2 years She's our go to person when we need a pet sitter. Very responsible and her prices for all that she does most importantly to us when we're away our peace of mind is all worth it. We would highly recommend Mary to all our friends & family.
We highly recommend Mary’s Pet Project! Mary came in twice a day for visits with our kitty, Lucy while we were away on our first get away since COVID hit. This was also the first vacation in many years that we were able to really relax because we knew that Lucy was being taken care of so well. Mary sent photos & videos & that was so much appreciated. We love that she tailored her services to our special needs. She was so great with Lucy. It was the first time that Lucy was so calm when we arrived home. Mary also took care of the neighborhood kitty that sleeps on our porch. She made certain to give our home the ‘we are at home’ look & even placed our garbage cans out. Thank you Mary for your kindness, professionalism & a wonderful pet sitting experience. We will definitely use your services again!😻
Our cat is very affectionate and likes attention and being around people at all times. She does not like being left alone. After moving to California 4 years ago, we were searching for a pet sitter. The Humane Society of Stanislaus County recommended Mary's Pet Project after hearing good things about her. She deals with all sorts of animals. My wife and I travel often, sometimes overseas, and need reliable visits to our cat. I was impressed that Mary maintains detailed files about every pet, including Vet and medication info if required. Mary texts updates, including videos of a kitty who is happy at receiving regular visits. She deals with all pet related cleaning, grabs the mail, and takes care of lights and other household adjustments. I would highly recommend her services.
Our fur babies had a wonderful time while we were away for a 2-week vacation. They are very well staffed and experienced. And they let us tour & take pictures of the location before booking. Which made us feel comfortable knowing they would be safe, loved, and played with. Always being supervised, outside and inside. We will be going back, maybe even try out the daycare, to keep our fur babies socialized with other dogs safely.🐾💜🐾
Can’t say enough about this Pet Hotel! My dogs absolutely love it here, I had two labs and one (DUKE) was overly excited when we would turn into the driveway (like a child going to Disneyland) my other lab Daisy is shy and doesn’t like to leave my side. Once I get her out of the vehicle she’s like “OH I KNOW THIS PLACE” & is ready for the pool. I’ve read some of the reviews on here and like I always say “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR” our pets are FAMILY, and I want them to have a safe, secure, fun environment to be at. I have boarded at other popular facilities and NONE COMPARE!!! I love that CR RANCH has the knowledgeable staff that cares about your fur- babies. When our Duke passed then sent very thoughtful personal card and it was very touching. I would recommend this place over & over to anyone. I honestly just can’t say enough about CR RANCH ❤️
So... Leaving your fur baby, it's not easy. At all. I contacted/stopped by at random after visiting another kennel. I was welcomed and shown around, no questions asked. My initial opinion is that it was very clean and their focus was on the dogs. I was told I needed to get my dog, Roxanne, a flu shot. Unfortunately my vet didn't have any so I went to pet I...but anyhow after all the immunizations we had to go for an evaluation. My doggo has t really been around other doggos outside of she had a really old older sister (dog) that passed away so her interactions with other dogs and even people were limited. Her first evaluation didn't go the greatest, she was scared and afraid of walking around the property and going inside. I was told she didn't pass but didn't fail. We went back in a couple of days and it went much better. Then it was recommended she come do daycare/play dates for a half day to get her used to procedures and being around new people and other dogs. Finally the week of her stay came. I packed up her food and a couple of comfort item as and off we went. Now look, she's a GSD and though they can be fierce they are also big babies or mine is and a beloved member of the family...so leaving her was nearly like leaving my kids at school first day. I know dogs pick up on vibes so I kept it brief and told her I'd see her soon (then sniffled as I drove down the street) I called on her second day and she had "settled in" and shortly thereafter was saw pics of her on Facebook and insta. The next day more pics she was smiling! Then I found out...she made a friend named Duffy!!!! Aww her first doggo friend! Today I went to pick her up and she was excited to see me but I think she enjoyed it because she was not sure whether she wanted to stay or go. She looks healthy, her bedding was washed and she got a report card with everything detailed. Which is nice, her minimal issues were mostly breed related (shepherd related) I guess she had a little tummy trouble while there but it was handled well. (So we had some left over snacks etc) So pet parents, rest assured...your loved pets are safe here. They take good care of them. I notice most of the staff is more geared towards the dogs, and less towards the humans (not a bad thing) but the dogs are the clients so I think that's perfect! I wouldn't hesitate to leave my Roxanne here again. I may have her come sometimes just so she can play with some doggy friends. (Maybe she'll meet Duffy again!) I wish she liked water, I saw all the water doggos splashing in pics and it looks fun!!!
C R Ranch is by far our number one choice for our fur babes. We have been coming here for years with one dog and now our second joined in as well! The staff is always so friendly and so great with our pups! When we drop them off, the dogs can't wait to leave us and go with the staff, we take this as a good sign! Then, while we are on vacation and see the updates online, it makes us so happy knowing how the dogs are being taken care of! We definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs boarding!
Amazing boarding place for your pets. I will not use any other facility for as long as I live in this area.
This facility was so clean and well maintained. The staff was so friendly and my fur baby got to explore the ranch. I loved the report card which was very detailed. I would definitely be bringing her back.
Took my dog Piper there on 8/8/23. It was our first visit and I was not impressed. They took my dog back with no explanation of how her day would go or offer us a tour of the facility being our first time there. When we picked her up, same story, no critique on how her day went and how she responded to being at daycare or with other dogs. Would not recommend this facility. We went there on or dog trainer Amy recommendation, so thought we would get Top Notch service, guess we should have gone to that other place that truly is Top Notch.
Such a peace of mind when on vacation knowing our dogs are cared for. Thank you once again
We live on a nearby street and our dog ran away from home. We’re grateful for Matthew of C R Ranch who found Remy after his shift and helped reunite us. We also have always had a good experience boarding Remy at C R. Caring staff, clean facility, and great correspondence.
We utilize this facility frequently. They are very professional, clean and treat out furry babies like they are their own. Its located in a very quiet country setting with more then ample space for large and small dogs. If you just want to take your furry buddys for a day of escape and to be around other doggos even just for fun this place is perfect. Our dogs are always more then excited to go there and spend a weekend there.
This was our first time having to board our American bulldog Stormy. I was very excited but nervous as well. Alexis and Dawson were so welcoming and took great care of my baby girl! The facility is welcoming and I was given the option to bring things for my dog to be comfortable or nothing at all as they had it taken care of. I will absolutely be using them again in the future! If I could rate a 10 star I would! Thank you DPP!!
We left our dog Walter here whilst we went for a long weekend away. It was the first time we had left him since getting him and we were worried as he is blind and deaf. The lady we spoke to however was really understanding and reassured us that he would be well cared for whilst we were away. When we picked him up, he was really happy (and tired!) and she even gave us a summary of how he'd eaten and friends he made. Overall, a great experience, especially for nervous owners! We'll definitely be using them again next time we're away.
This was our first time bringing our pup to Darby's Pet Paradise and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our Shepherd/Husky mix is 7 months old so we haven't had her too long but we were going on a trip for 2 weeks and wanted her to be able to play and socialize while we were gone. They were very communicative and helpful from the beginning. And PJ was so amazing with our sweet girl. It took her a couple of days to settle in but after that, she had the best time and was cared for beyond what we could've ever hoped for. We will definitely be bringing her back for any future travel and hopefully they will be doing daycare in the future as she loved playing with the other dogs there. Thanks again Darby's Pet Paradise!!!
Great place to kennel my dog. Due to overbooking in my own area and a four day convention in the Modesto area I contacted Darby`s and booked. I was not disappointed. The 1st thing noticed was a mistake made by my vet of missing a rabies vaccine. I'd been in for shots the week before. Corrections made I arrived to a very clean facility. The conclusion was a early pick-up on Sunday with the bribery of two chocolate chip cookies from the hotel I was allowed to pick-up three hours early. Great facilities highly recommend .
Vanessa did a great job in providing care for our pup. Would strongly recommend to anyone needing boarding for their dogs. The environment was peaceful and clean. Our pup was happy to be there. I look forward to taking our pup their again. Thanks!
Vanessa and Tiffany are both caring, nice and love animals. Easy reservation and flexible with your schedule.
I left my dog there this weekend and the facility was clean and organized. The staff was friendly and you could clearly see their love for animals from the way they treated our dog. I would definitely use them again. Our dig returned home happy and healthy.
Our dog Koda seemed really happy when we picked him up! It was obvious that he was well taken care of and not just locked up in a kennel. Everything was professionally done from check in to pick up! We know our pet who is part of our family was safe and well taken care of while we were away!
Boarded my 2 dogs at Darby's and one has never been boarded before. I was so worried about him but once he got here he was running around so happy. Picked them and they looked like they had a great time. Owners were amazing and took great care of my babies.
I tried using this boarding service . Let’s just say 1st of all they don’t seem to answer their phone during the hours they are open. I had to call a couple days in a row. Second of all I knew my cat needed to get shots but I almost noticed that on pet paradise site it says the shots needed to be done and after 48 hours so I asked on of the sisters if they could wave that? I explained my cat is a 100% indoor cat. She said don’t worry I totally understand we can wave it. The day I was going to bring cat I was at vet when I had called to make sure I could bring cat . The other sister answered and rudely said I cannot accept the cat. It has to be over 48 hours of getting shots. I explained once again the Vet even piped in why? If your cat is 100% indoor cat never been near another cat I don’t see issue. But to no avail. I’m sure they might be great with pets but when one tells you one thing and then supposedly questions her sister and her sister doesn’t cop to it makes you think. They are seemed to be the perfect place but everything is not what it seems! I understand the rules of what’s posted on website that’s exactly why I asked one of the sisters about waving that. I was told I must of miss understood what she said. I’ve been in business for over 40 years believe me no reason to miss understand. Thanks
Best place to board your dog in Modesto! + grooming as well
I started bringing my Maggie here as soon as she was fully vaccinated, so about 4-5 months, to help her socialize, and she absolutely loves it. They group the dogs according to size and temperament and watch them closely. The staff is always happy to see her, she's like Norm walking into Cheers 😂 They have healthy meals and treats, or you can pack their lunch. She comes home EXHAUSTED which is the best part!! UPDATED to include pics of Maggie and her bestie, Gambit, as puppies, and grown ❤️
Service is amazing. Our Macie comes home "Happy" and very well taken care of by everyone! It's truly a Top-Notch!!
Lisa Moore and her incredible staff have taken care of my dogs for more than 20 years. The work they do is nothing short of amazing. My dog struggled with boarding after being home so much with us during the pandemic (prior to the pandemic , he was fine), and Lisa personally made sure that everything was done to make sure he was comfortable and stress free. She emailed me letting me know how he was doing, and made sure his stay was successful. He made friends and had a good time. It allowed me to enjoy my vacation. I can’t say enough positive things about Top Notch.
I unfortunately had to move out of Modesto. My dog absolutely loved the girls there. She had been going since she was a puppy. After 4 years, we had to say goodbye. On her last day, all the girls had gotten a basket together of goodies, toys, clothes, magnetic pictures of my dog, and a card with all their warm wishes and goodbyes. I have the basket and i pull a new toy out every other week or have her wear a new piece of clothing. She smells the basket and remembers her friends there. I honestly was sadder about picking her up that last day her than I was about moving. I so truly appreciated everything they did for my little girl. Your dog would be in absolutely good hands with this establishment.
My dog Max has had such a wonderful time meeting new dogs when he was boarded there two different times. Thou they haven't learned my dog doesn't need to be in the slow and steady group. He's very energetic. Needs to be in a group with more energy.
Our dogs went for grooming. 70 lb Goldendoodles. They came home looking great. Everyone there is very friendly and our boys didn't act traumatized like they normally do after grooming. Highly recommend
We have boarded our dog twice in Modesto with them and both times he comes out with no collar on when we pick him up. They also have him marked as no treats or extras both times which must be an ongoing miscommunication we thought we cleared up the first time but apparently did not. Both times he goes in freshly groomed and comes back smelling like dog urine, including his bed. My primary concern and why we won't be using this boarder again is because he has to stay in the cage all day except for potty breaks and a short, very short, period of 1:1 play which we pay extra for that isn't nearly enough for a healthy happy pup. The first time boarding him was prior to being neutered so I understand why he can't be with the group somewhat, however there should be enough supervision that this is possible or some other comparable accommodations or free play/roaming area. The second time they literally barred him from group play PERMENENTLY because he was mounting and "wouldn't take no for an answer" and removed his "suite's" mats because "he's a shredder." So now he has no activity, and minimal interaction, and he's acting out - obvious and predictable dog behavior. He's also obviously attempting to establish his place in the pack albeit in an undesirable way but 1, it was his very first time with the group, 2 they removed his collar which helps to calm him down, 3 no attempt at positive reinforcement for successful group play was made. It's his very first experience with the other dogs so he obviously needs some support to be shown the proper behavior not being barred at 18 months old from group interaction "for all future stays" due to mounting. It just shows a general lack of expertise and effort on their behalf, in addition to poor communication since we only find these things out upon pick up. It's like he's recovering for 2-3 days when he gets home after a 3 or 4 day stay and it's just too sad. We feel like irresponsible pet owners going from 2 walks a day and vigorous active play and exercise to this.. and we have to sanitize everything (including him) when he gets home. Their practices may be the most economical and easiest but they're not what's best for the animal. They are nice at the front desk, thougha dn we appreciate the report card. It's just not for us or our pooch.
They are so good with my difficult dog. A lot of groomers won't groom him because he can get aggressive. They are so patient and take their time with him so he feels safe and let's them make him handsome without getting scared.
Absolutely the best place for grooming. Our 13-year-old border collie was groomed by Sam, and she did an amazing job 👏. The staff is so courteous, and all the groomers who have taken care of our girl have always done fantastic. I highly recommend Top Notch for your grooming needs for your pups! Wish I could get a better picture but she is camera shy . 🤭
I don't trust anyone else with my dog than Country View Kennels. My dogs and family's dogs are always so happy to stay there with the whole crew. They ALWAYS accommodate our needs without hesitation. Loyal customer for life.
CHECK THEIR YELP BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. THE REVIEWS ARE WAY DIFFERENT THAN THEY ARE HERE. This place did not notify us that our 6 year old Catahoula/Lab mix wasn’t eating or drinking water for two days (after eating and drinking fine for the first three) and waited until he was extremely lethargic and covered in his own drool and urine to call us and ask if we wanted them to “maybe take him to the vet.” The day before taking him to this kennel, he had a full physical and the vet reported good health. Five days later the kennel told us that our dog wasn’t looking good, and the vet that saw him told us he had an abscess from his paw to his shoulder (with necrotic tissue and in septic shock and kidney failure) and the also said there were injuries on the leg that occurred while we had him boarded (of which weren’t reported to us) which caused the abscess. He later died the same day- five hours after they took him in. We had to give the okay to euthanize him after being told they were attempting CPR, and we were told he only had a 10% chance of living. All of this happened while we were away, and from being initially notified, he died within hours. This place was straight up neglectful and killed our dog. Our sweet Remi is gone forever because of their negligence. We trusted the reviews and Country View let us down and devastated our family. Don’t risk your dog’s life, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! **I edited to add pictures, also to add that this is my sister’s dog and her story will be more accurate than mine since she got the information directly.
Awesome place to bring your dog and have them take care of yours and your dogs needs. They are very hospitable. Going on vacation? This is the place you should be looking at so you don't leave your dog at home alone. You won't regret it.
DONT LET THE HIGH RATING TRICK YOU. i took my dog here while i went on a 10 day vacation after seeing the “raving” reviews. they neglected my dog after he sustained an injury while in their care, and didn’t contact us about it until he couldn’t stand anymore, hadn’t eaten in almost four days, and all they said was he wasn’t really hungry and his leg was “oozing puss” their words verbatim. they tried to downplay it over the phone and asked if we wanted him to take him to the hospital. to which we said yes go immediately. the vets said my dog couldn’t even pick his head up upon arrival and couldn’t even swallow his own spit and it wasn’t looking good, he was septic and in stage four renal failure at this point because of how bad the infection had gotten. my dog died four hours after getting to the hospital despite the aggressive life saving treatment and two rounds of cpr. they refused to take any blame trying to claim he had to have “come in already hurt” despite the vet saying the injury would have happened two/three days before and he was in their care for six days at that point. he even had a vet appointment check up prior to going to the facility (they do a full body assessment and would have noticed) and the facility did an assessment for him prior to admission and both saying he was completely healthy. i tried to peruse it legally but they said they have so many dogs it’s “hard to notice something like that”. all i can do is try to stop other people from making the same mistake i did.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Country View Kennels! Bringing my dogs here has been an absolute pleasure and a true peace of mind. From the moment you step onto the property, it is clear that cleanliness is a top priority. The kennels are immaculate, and there is never a hint of unpleasant odor. The facilities are well-maintained and provide a safe, comfortable environment for my pets. The staff at Country View Kennels is simply amazing. They are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond to make sure every dog feels at home. Whether it’s offering personalized care or keeping me updated on how my dogs are doing, their attention to detail and genuine love for animals shine through in everything they do. It’s evident that they truly care about the well-being of each pet in their care. Every visit to Country View Kennels reassures me that my dogs are in the best hands possible. Knowing that they are not only safe but also happy and well-cared for allows me to relax and enjoy my time away. I wholeheartedly recommend Country View Kennels to any pet owner looking for a top-notch boarding experience. Trust me, you and your furry friends will be delighted!
I just wanted to take a minute to leave a Review on Country View. I have used this kennel on three different occasions last week when I dropped off my dog Sadie🐾 she knew exactly where we were going and got so excited when we got to the front door! From the moment I booked my first appointment the staff was efficient, polite, and patient with my hundred questions! Of course I was prepared and brought in all of Sadie🐾’s documentations. I would highly recommend using Country View kennels. It’s such a relief that when I’m dropping off Sadie and there is such excitement and confidence in her surroundings. When I see her happy not timid and she eagerly goes in! I don’t know about other dog owners, I always felt a little guilty that I’m leaving Sadie in a kennel not anymore! I honestly feel so secure that they’re taking care of my baby.
Such a wonderful kennel! Cory and his team are friendly, kind and helpful. I will definitely be leaving him dog here again.
I am pretty upset and feel I need to leave this review. My dogs were there for 6 days. They all came home with kennel cough costing me money at the vet. My other dog was not given her medications because she gets temporarily blind when its not given to her. She had a ton of crusty green discharge in her eyes. Crashing into things. I had to put double doses at home and took her to the vet because she can potentially go blind. When we asked for pics they just said they were fine but only sent pics of one of the 3 dogs. Im just disappointed because I thought we had found a place they can be at when we need it but I am just not happy at this point.
This place is an excellent kennel. We are extremely picky on who we leave our babies with. While heading on vacation our normal kennel happened to be fully booked for the weekend. From the initial call and showing up and dropping off our babies, the level of service we have received has been greatest. We now have a forever extended home. Keep up the great work.
Traveled to visit family and couldn’t keep our cavalier class she was causing allergy flare ups with my Niece. Very nice facility !!
We love working with Niki! She takes such wonderful care of our dog. Whatever extra instructions we gave her, she was willing to accommodate to. In fact, we made a big move more recently, and we had left our dog with Niki to take care of for weeks until we got settled into our new home. This move required us to fly our dog to Niki, and then when it came time to bring our dog home, we flew to Niki to get her. When we got there, our baby looked like she had come out of the salon! I would not hesitate to bring her to Niki’s Play N’ Stay if we ever go on vacation…even though we are miles away from her. Thank you so much for taking good care of our dog in the past and we look forward to sending her your way in the future!
Niki’s is a game changer for my anxious German Shepherd. The small, personalized environment makes her feel safe and calm, and Niki’s expertise with behavior issues is impressive. We’ve tried others, but Niki’s care and attention are unmatched. Highly recommend! We also love that she provides a one stop shop for all our pet needs.
Niki's Play N' Stay excels not only in play but also in grooming services. Niki is so attentive to every detail. Oreo looked and felt fantastic after a grooming session here. Niki's dedication to both fun and grooming makes it a comprehensive and reliable choice for pet care.
Niki was so great with Pepper. Pepper is comfortable with her and she always does an amazing job. We travel quite often and I trust her taking care of Pepper and not worry when we are not around.
Niki took wonderful care of my Grandmother's dog. We were in desperate need to find a new groomer, We're so happy we found Niki. She took her time and was very knowledgeable. Poor Sparky was in rough shape and she made him look and feel like a brand new pup! She's got great pricing and good availability.
Best groomer in all of Oakdale! Best service ever. Niki treated me and my pup as family, not just a client! She was able to give my dog the best service and made me feel completely comfortable! 1000% recommend FIVE STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ look no further! Book your appointment today!
My dogs always have a good time at camp bow wow for daycare and come back exhausted! Staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Facility is clean and never smells. You have constant access to a dog cam to watch your pups throughout the day. We have had a great experience and recommend if in need!
I love how accommodating Camp Bow Wow is and how each of the staff members truly seems to love dogs. It makes me feel so comforted to know that my two dogs are well looked after when I leave them in their care. I’m also so appreciative for the communication from the staff- the photos, email updates, and even phone calls to touch base is so important to me. Also, I know people have certain thoughts or comments about CBW not taking their dogs or working with them; I have to say, my smaller dog didn’t pass his first interview, but I hold nothing against CBW as it’s my job to ensure my pup is prepared for social interactions with both people and other dogs. As for staff working with dogs, they ARE there to handle easy dogs, yes, because they’re not dog trainers. That job falls to us dog OWNERS, not CBW. I’ve taken my dogs to several CBW locations (and on multiple occasions) and each one has been a phenomenal experience. I love that I can call, email, or even look at the cameras, any time I want an update to check on the well-being on my boys. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Camp Bow Wow and the incredible staff that makes it such a wonderful place! Thank you!!
Another great visit for the dogs! Always clean (never smalls like a kennel), always friendly and dogs are always supervised when they are in group play ( you can see this on the doggie cam). We always feel that they are safe when we leave them. Oh, and if you have smaller dogs (ours our 12 and 16 lbs) definitely enough room for them to share a sleeping kennel and have room for toys, beds and to move around. Really great alternative to the now closed Doggity Dog.
Rocky had good time at camp. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean.
Camp Bow Wow took great care of our 2 pups while we were on an extended vacation. The dogs came home healthy and happy. Thank you Team Bow Wow!!
We love the consistency, great facilities, and staff. Camp Bow Wow in several states has been a place in which we have been able to find stability for Pearl to play and unwind in a safe and familiar environment We have been from Michigan to Texas to Arizona to California at various locations as I travel the country for work. The Camp Bow Wow team has never failed us.
We love the love and care that they give our girls. Our dogs get so happy when we pull up.
We just recently took our puppy to Camp Bow Wow. I was very impressed with how clean the facility is and how friendly the front desk employee was that helped us with our interview day. She took the time to sit on the ground and help our puppy to feel comfortable with her before taking her back to meet other dogs. Each time I picked our puppy up, the employees told me how much they love her and how great she is. The highlight is that our puppy comes home exhausted each time because she gets to play and interact with so many other dogs! We love the webcams too. My kids love watching our puppy play. I would definitely recommend you try out Camp Bow Wow!
Wish it was possible to give this place less than 1 star. My dog had stayed here previously for 1 week during my family’s vacation and he was very happy. So while we are having construction done at our house, we had no hesitation to send him back since he would only be staying 2 nights. On the second morning, we got a call saying he was being “difficult” and “aggressive” and we had to pick him up. Our dog has never shown any sign of aggression regardless of the situation, and normally just resorts to plopping on the ground or hiding under furniture. When we picked him up, he was anxious, whiney, and obviously VERY shaken. He’s refusing meals at home and avoiding cuddles and has a large red mark under his leg. We aren’t sure as to what EXACTLY happened but we know this is not normal for our fur baby. He’s traumatized and we will NEVER be going back to this boarding place. It’s easy to blame the animal but paying attention to his behavior has made it clear that he is NOT at fault. Advocate for your animals and keep them safe and do NOT send them here for any reason.
They are so personable and caring. Also, wanted to comment on the lady’s review about easy going dogs and such. They don't want dogs that will present a danger or harm to their staff and the other dogs. I think its a great place. If you have a dog that needs training and extra attention to might want to see a dog trainer not a daycare and boarding facility.
Love this place! I started using them for doggie preschool for my newly adopted pup, and then began sending our 5 year old lab there for doggie daycare. I also use them for boarding! Susan and her staff are professional and put the needs of the dogs as their highest priority! My dogs both have separation anxiety, and even though they are scared to leave my sight, they flourish during boarding! I love how they provide updates and communicate with you about any concerns, if there is any. I feel great knowing the owners live across the street from the facility too, so they are aware of everything that goes on after-hours. Susan also runs a pet rescue: Pixie’s Dancing Paws and Pals, in which she has taken in dogs from varying circumstances and rescued them, and they are looking for their forever homes! If you are looking to adopt, look no further than this amazing rescue! If you are looking for a place with down to earth, communicative, and compassionate staff, look no further than K9’s On the Move!
When first arriving, we were greeted by very lovely staff, we handed our little guy off to them, he stayed six nights there. They did send a report card and a picture. He was very excited when we picked him up. They said that he did very good his stay. After we got him home and gave him a bath, we noticed that there was a lump on his ear and that he had a scab from the looks of it he was bit.
We love taking our pup here for their doggy day care service. He always enjoys his time there and has had major behavioral improvement at home.
I was worried about boarding my dog for the first time and Susan took time to listen to my concerns and even offered to take Chip for a few hours ahead of time for an evaluation. He did great and stayed 4 full days. Susan and her staff took great care of him and were very understanding and gave me an update every time I called I received his report card with a picture of what he loves to do, be in a pool 😊 I now have a fun and safe place to take him when needed. I highly recommend this facility!!
My wife and I love it here. This is our 3rd time using them and it’s been the best experience for us and our dogs. I would highly recommend them. Till next time. Thank you K9 staff! Love Maverick and Charlie
My boys just got home from their weekend long stay at K9s on the move. And they seem to have loved it! The service is wonderful. My favorite thing is they allow the boys to stay together , just like at home. This is the longest we've been apart from them and we believe they were in good hands. On our way home from Vacation we drove by and seen them outside playing together, which gives us comfort! My frenchie did not want to leave. Thank you to the team for taking care of our boys! This is the 2nd time with you guys and won't be the last.
I’ve been looking for a good boarding place for my dog for a really long time, and all the time i’ve always felt uncomfortable, scared, & worried to leave him because my dog never likes it…. now THIS place, is absolutely amazing. I felt so comfortable the second I dropped him off and didn’t even think twice, they were so kind and reassuring that my dog will be okay and they’ll keep us updated if things happen. My dog never usually eats at other boarding places and always comes back skinny, not this time!! My dog ate all his food and came back looking so happy and healthy. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I really would. It’s so reassuring knowing the owners live right in front of the boarding building just to keep a safe eye. I 100% recommend this place and cannot wait to keep bring my dog here anytime I go on vacation. Thank you so much K9 on the move 🫶🏼🫶🏼 P.S this is how happy my dog looked after his boarding, he’s never looked this smiley and energetic at another place!!
We have always had a positive experience at K9s on the Move. Our boys seem to enjoy their time there and K9s is good with our boys!
Dropped our dogs off while we traveled out of the country and I knew that they would be taken very good care of. Came back to better behaved dogs than we left them. Highly recommended!
While on our vacation our Yogi was safe and enjoyed himself here at K9 on the move. Worry free and enjoyed our time away.
First time trying Noble Kennels. They were outstanding! They gave us a tour before we booked the week stay for our dog. Clean facility, great communication from the friendly staff. I will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for taking care of our pup while we went on vacation.
I absolutely loved how my fur baby came out!☺️ I’m from Modesto and had only tried groomers near me. But never found the one. Until coming here to Riverbank. I finally found our spot. Thank you💕 …
Had our dog groomed here and they were fantastic. They took great care of him and were so kind and courteous. Prices are very fair and they were quick to get him finished. A+ for noble kennels grooming! Thanks again team!
The dedicated team at Nobel always do a GREAT job.
First time boarding our dogs! They were treated great. They sent us pictures and report on how they were doing. Will use again!
SOOOO impressed. I took my LONG LONG over due akita in at 9am. He was done by 2 and looked so good!!! I didn't even know they could bring his coat back silky all over. Our old groomer would take almost 8 hours and charged almost double. WILL DEFINITELY BE TAKING HIM BACK!
Inside is clean and cute. Great groomer and friendly staff. They took care of my baby and did an excellent job on her nails which has always been a struggle for me. Looking forward to coming here more in the future.
I took my puppy in the other day for a bath and deshedding. when i picked her up she had loose hair and didn't appear to have been deshedded.. i went home and took our deshedding tool to her and took a lot of hair off in just 5 minutes work. more than should have if they did it. not entirely sure what i paid them $35 to do but she won't be going back there. the girl also didn't hit the notification button to inform me she was ready for pick up so i ended up having to call after her being there 4 hours to see if she was ready. they gave me no timeframe window or anything at drop off. their banner out front says 20% off first service for new guests which i didn't get either, which is not a big deal, i can afford the full service but that was why i ended up going with them rather than allegros in oakdale. next time i’ll be going to allegros.
I boarded my six month old puppy at Noble Kennels at first I was nervous but when I dropped him off I can tell that they love dogs there and he will be taken care of. The day I picked him up he was giving the staff kisses and big hugs bye, he had a good experience. I will definitely use Noble kennels again.
Very professional staff. Very clean completely remodeled. Excellent job on grooming my Yorkshire Terrier and Pomeranian. They treat the animals with tender care. Try them you'll love them
This was our first time boarding our two fur babies and we had an absolutely amazing experience!! The team was very accommodating to our last minute plans. They send us updates throughout the weekend as well as updated their Facebook page with pictures of our dogs which helped put our minds at ease. Would 100% recommend this family owned business to any pet owner and their fur baby!!
I had to have surgery and suddenly found myself unable to give my dog all the exercise and attention he needs while recovering. I called For Wags N Wiggles as a very last minute new client and they've been entertaining my dog for daycare every weekday for a few weeks now. Steve has really gone out of his way to help me during a tough time. He's also involved in dog rescue. You can really tell that this is more than a business for them and they're trying to do good for their community.
Wags and Wiggles is the only place in Modesto I will take my two German Shepherds. Stephen is incredibly professional, knows and understands how to bring out the best in dogs. We have been extremely pleased and plan to continue bring our two German Shepherds here!
Steven is the only person I will take my puppy dog to in all of California and he is the only one she likes to go to. He always treats her with such love and compassion and she just loves being there she has so much fun I never worry at all everybody should take the dogs there
Steve took great care of Billy while I worked. He introduced him to safe new dogs. Billy is a puppy. TY Steve
These folks know dogs, and are very caring. I give them my total trust with my dog.
Very trustworthy family-owned business
Really cares about dogs.
