Five-Star Review for Carolyn’s Pet Care We recently boarded our two senior dogs, both 16 years old, at Carolyn’s Pet Care over Thanksgiving, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. While it was a bit pricey, the exceptional care Carolyn provided made it worth every penny. What made this even more special was that Carolyn took our dogs in at the last minute when our usual sitter was unable to care for them. We were in a tough spot, and she graciously made room to board both of our dogs on short notice, which we really appreciated. Carolyn went above and beyond to ensure our dogs were well taken care of. She bathed both of them twice during their stay and even helped our dog Abraham with his flaky skin condition. She carefully combed out the flakes, and since then, his skin has improved remarkably. She kept us updated every night with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Her spacious backyard was perfect for the dogs to play, and she made sure they were well-fed, exercised, and clean. She even clipped their nails! Carolyn’s love for animals and her years of experience truly shine through in the care she provides. Despite the cost, the quality of her service and attention to detail were absolutely worth it. We highly recommend Carolyn’s Pet Care to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their pets!

Carolyn provides the absolute best daytime play environment for our dogs on a weekly basis and takes wonderful care of them when we are out of town. They are always so happy to see her and love spending time at her house with the other dogs she takes care of. Carolyn is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to training and caring for the health of our dogs as well. She provides us with regular updates and sends photos/videos of the dogs when they stay with her. She is incredible!

This review is long overdue. Our Kiki (maltipoo) has been going with Carolyn for about three years now. We wanted to get her out socializing with other dogs, but she didn't like the dog parks. Having Kiki go with Carolyn once a week to visit with her friends and go for a hike turned out to be the best decision we ever made. I have to admit that Kiki is not the friendliest little dog, but Carolyn has taught her to respect and mind her manners around other dogs and people. It was especially important that she behave around our grand kids. Her yard and house are meticulous. Any Fur baby would be lucky to spend time with her. She is great with her dogs, and they all respect and love her. Carolyn is the best find ever! I can’t believe it, but I dropped off an undisciplined, unruly puppy whom I believed to be incorrigible and when I picker her up and brought her home she was so well behaved!! Im in awe of the change in her behavior! Carolyn is the only person I trust with my fur babies. They are well cared and loved by her when we have to be away.

Carolyn is absolutely amazing with all dogs! Our dogs participate in her “socials”. Carolyn provides a well supervised, fun environment for our dogs to to play and interact with lots other dogs regularly. . We travel frequently and rely on Carolyn to care for our dogs often. She is suburb at providing for their needs, very aware of their health issues, dietary issues, etc. She is truly a gifted “dog whisperer”!!

Thank you for the consistent above and beyond service for Stanley. You care for him as a loving family member and we think he feels the same. Not many pet sitters will take take the time to play with him, brush his coat or even offer to trim nails. Carolyn is absolutely THE BEST!!!! I rescued a formosan mountain dog mix, Basia, from Taiwan not realizing how fearful and skittish the dog was. It was a struggle taking her for walks and trying to train her because she was terrified of everything and everyone. I tried taking a dog training class locally in my neighborhood but it didn't help. As I was losing hope, my in laws learned about Carolyn's service and referred me and she has transformed my dog! Basia has gained so much confidence. She learned to tolerate all types of situations, she is great on walks and hikes and is now well trained. Family and friends are all shocked at how much Basia has changed for the better! I am very grateful to Carolyn for her patience and effort in working with Basia so she can learn to enjoy life and for all her advice and tips on how to become a better dog parent! Basia's been going to Carolyn's morning social every week for over a year now and Basia LOVES it! She is such a happy dog when she's at Carolyn's with all her friends :) Whenever we travel, we only board Basia with Carolyn knowing she is in good hands. Carolyn is very sweet and understanding and truly has a big heart for animals! I highly highly highly recommend her! :D

Carolyn has been taking care of our Norfolk Terriors for over 12 years. Both Quincy and Chloe were always excited to be with Carolyn and the other dogs. Somehow she has all the dogs together getting their picture taken and they are not making any noise. She has always taken excellent care of them and both my wife and I highly recommend Carolyn for her knowledge and skill with our dogs.

Carolyn is the absolute best! She has frequently cared for our french bulldog for the past 3 years and we are so thankful to have found her! As frenchies tend to be, ours is definitely a little firecracker. He’s silly and sweet, but not what anyone would consider low maintenance. Carolyn loves and cares for him like he’s her own. She is very attentive to his needs and he absolutely loves his time at her house. When he hears the word “Carolyn” his big ears perk right up and he waits excitedly at our door. I rest assured that my dog is in great hands when when he’s with Carolyn. She’s easy to communicate with and very skilled with animals. I highly recommend her services!!

I am so grateful to have found Carolyn many years ago. She is AMAZING! She cares for our cat Stanley. Both while we're out of town and even when we are not... She goes above and beyond in every way!! She has gotten him into the best cat groomer when he really needed - she not only got him in -despite the very long waitlist, she took him while I was at brunch! AND she went into the grooming session with him and assisted the groomer! She is knowledgeable and seems to know exactly what is needed and when. She welcomes when I ask her advice for even the smallest issue and she always gives me great information and recommendations! She is completely capable. When we are away I always feel comfort and relief knowing Carolyn is caring for not only Stanley but also caring for our home and our plants ,better than I do I might add. Stanley always looks so handsome and healthy after she has been with him. She seems to have a sixth sense with him- he can get pretty feisty. She gives him the "tough love" he is in need of. She does everything with strength, love and kindness. Stanley loves her and my husband and I love her and feel so lucky to have her!!!! I can't say enough great things about her, she is one in a million

I just want to state how pleasantly surprised I was with the service provided by WalknRoll. Everyone I talked to throughout the setup/application process was professional, responsive, and friendly. When I dropped my guy Mickey off and met Midori, I was immediately comfortable knowing he would be staying in a beautiful home with a genuinely sweet sitter. Midori and her Family sent me pictures of Mickey playing, resting, and going on walks. I could tell he was having an incredible time. I’m so glad I found Walk n Roll. I’ll definitely be using them in the near future and I know Mickey will be excited to see all his friends again.

My family found themselves in a very tight spot, and needed care for our four pups right away! Tish and Tissa moved mountains to help us out, and were an integral part for several months of providing care in one way or another for us, whether it be transporting them to and from the vet, long term boarding, and spoiling them with love and snuggles! When we were able to get back to them, they were very happy and you could tell they had been cared for beautifully! Thank you ladies for all you do!

We have been using Walk N Roll Pet Sitting since our Golden Retriever, Sophie, was a puppy and have had such a positive experience. At Walk N Roll, our dog was treated like one of the family, and she received so much love and attention. While she was there for a 2 week stay, we were sent photos regularly of our dog going on outings, or relaxing at home. This helped to keep my children calm, knowing that their beloved pet was in good hands. When our return flights were suddenly canceled, they were very gracious and accommodating, which was such a relief! Knowing that our rescue dog was safe and loved, in a caregivers home (and not in a boarding facility in a small cage with a dog run), gave us so much comfort. As testament to the care she received, our dog is now missing her Walk N Roll pet sitter!

Leaving my golden retriever, Ginger, for two weeks felt like I was leaving my daughter behind, but when I saw how well cared for she was by Midori and family through social media posts, including both pictures and videos, I knew she was in the best of hands. In fact, I have already scheduled Ginger to stay with her again for my next upcoming trip. Walk N Roll watched our two labradoodles over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Our trip was relaxing now that Tish and Anissa were taking good care of our dogs. We received photos almost everyday, and they went out of their way to kept us posted. Will definitely use their services again!

It's clean and there's lots of things for the dogs to play with. The person that showed us around was very nice and answered every question we had. They even offer different packages tailored to fit your dog's needs. For example, I got the calming package for my dog. After taking the tour,I felt much better about leaving my dog with them for the night.

These folks really care about the pets left in their care. They put the effort in for our guy, Mr G, to make him feel comfortable in spite of his reactivity. We really appreciate the staff at Joyful Paws and think you will too!

I was so terrified to leave my 6 month old kitten fo the 6 days, but every staff member I encountered was able to ease my fears!! My kitten did so well, they were so patient and kind with him. He can be a bit spicy when meeting new people, but he adapted do well to their kindness. I most definitely will be returning for a visit to Joyful Paws Hotel!!

While the staff was friendly, I was extremely dissatisfied with this day care. Please DO NOT take your dog here under any circumstances. The first time I took my husky here, his nails were bleeding when I picked him up. When I asked staff, they had no idea what the cause was and barely noticed it when they turned in my dog to me. He must have been pawing at a fence for a long time and gotten ignored! The other two times I took him, he came out a complete mess and extremely dirty. The picture below is the last time ever brought him in on August 18 2023. He had a horrible stain on his left cheek that almost TWO MONTHS LATER has not completely gone away!!! If you look closely, he still has a light pink/brown stain on his left cheek. I’ve tried professional groomers, whitening shampoo, and nothing works. I assume it must have been some type of tar or oil that my husky got into. Once again, I asked staff if they knew what he was getting himself into, and they were unaware of what caused the mess. They didn’t notice it until they gave me my dog at pickup. Lastly, I know someone who’s dog suffered a spinal injury here and they deleted the footage!! Regardless if you believe the spinal injury story, the evidence of how Joyful Paws neglected my dogs needs is right here. I will be taking my dog to the vet and after the evaluation, I will reach out to Joyful Paws and request compensation because this is ridiculous especially for the price they charge. If you care about your dog’s safety please don’t leave them here.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a first for my pup and they made us feel comfortable and secure. Will be using them on a regular basis. Ive been going here for over a year and continue to be impressed with the staff who look after our Ollie! oliver loves the staff and all his friends at Joyful Paws.

My Chihuahua loves to go here and be social with his friends when I'm busy. Recently boarded him for three nights and he was returned happy and healthy. Will return for more visits! They are very well organized

My dog stayed here for the first time this past week. I was very impressed with the professionalism of Joyful Paws and completely trusted that my dog was safe and well taken care of here. I was able to watch my dog during play time every day with the Wag Vision live cameras. I loved the daily report cards and photos! Also, she was given a great thanksgiving meal, a bath, nail trim, and goody bag upon departure. I recommend Joyful Paws to all my fellow pet parents! Definitely will continue coming here for lodging and maybe even daycare! They are also great with following COVID precautions - limited people in the lobby allowed, curbside pickup/drop off, wearing masks, etc.

My dog LOVES Joyful Paws - he’s always so excited to go. The staff is super friendly and very attentive! I love that they do breaks during the day so the dogs aren’t overstimulated and given time to rest between play times.

This was Mimi’s first time boarding and Joyful Paws took great care of her. We received a daily report card with pictures letting us know how she was doing. Highly recommend and will definitely use their services again!

1st day meet and greet. Staff was very pleasant i was given a tour this morning, and the young lady answered all of my concerns. Made me feel comfortable leaving ny dog in their care. The facility was clean. I had the ability to view my dog through Webcam which is a big plus. He was a little shy, but with time i do believe he will adjust. TY for caring and for taking care of Taco

Amazing service! It was our first time to leave our cat home alone for over two days, but since the meet and greet meeting with Jill I knew i could trust them and Ms. Cookie would be in good hands. They were very responsive form day 1, very professional and thorough during the meet and greet appointment, when they took notes on our cat's habits. Ally McPets is a godsend for those trying to arrange care for their pets when drawn out-of-town for fun or work! We were scrambling to find someone who could care for a 10-week year old kitten we rescued two weeks before a previously scheduled vacation. The kitten had warmed up to us after having being abandoned and we were concerned our absence would set him back (possibly permanently). Ally McPets saved the day. The kitten took to the person they assigned to feed and visit him. While we were away, we enjoyed the daily reports and pictures that were sent. I hired Lisa to watch over my great dane while I was on vacation for 2 weeks. Monster (my dog) usually gets very upset when I'm gone and the 2nd day Lisa came to my home to find that he had severe intestinal distress and there was diarrhea ALL OVER the house. He will always react that way when I'm gone. When I returned from my trip I came home to find the sofa and the carpet and the floors..spotless! She cleaned up the mess he made with out one complaint!!! Also, Monster was happy to see me, as usual, but pined for Lisa for 3 days. He fell in love! Now when she watches him, he no longer gets diarrhea and is much calmer when I leave. BEST PET SITTER EVER!!!!!!!

Lisa is a great Pet Sitter! My cats just love her! I always know that they will have the best of care when she is there. Lisa's love of animals is very apparent from the first time you meet her. She's been doing this for a long time & the reason why is her love for all animals! She always does a great job & leaves my kitchen immaculate. Lisa is the dog whisperer! She has been taking care of my two dogs and 3 cats for the past 8 years. Lisa helped me train a rescue dog that did not know anything! He was not leash trained and he was bit 'nippy'. One session with Lisa and magically he let me do absolutely any handling without nipping and learned to walk on the leash! We further refined his training and I now have the most wonderful and obedient dog ever. I cannot say enough about the way the animals love Lisa and her ability to communicate with animals is uncanny. Furthermore, while training my dog, she trained me to continue teaching him effectively. Nothing short of amazing. I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. If there were 10 stars she would get 10 stars!

Lisa has taken care of my 2 dogs at my home in San Pedro several times in the last 10 years. She keeps a copy of my house key at all times. Lisa is a professional and she is trustworthy with my most precious furbabies. She has great knowledge and understanding of animal behaviors so that she can assess the needs of your animal while you are absent. Lisa is great and I highly recommend her.

I have used Lisa’s pet sitting for over 20 years. She is without a doubt the most loving caring responsible Pet sitter I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I had two aging cats and a job that took me out of town at least one week out of 2 months. Lisa’s knowledge of cat behavior and cat health was so helpful when dealing with my aging cats. Now that I have a two-year-old rather large dog Lisa again to the rescue. She has taught and trained my new dog to be obedient and a complete pleasure to be around. Lisa provided in home dog care for my Willie for the last 10 years until he passed away in August. In fact, I think she loved him as much as I did! I never worried about him while he was in Lisa's care. The quality of her service was self evident every time I returned and saw his precious face. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a caring pet giver who really understands how to interact with dogs in a manner that allows them to feel safe. My Willie was fearful of strangers and had trouble trusting. From the first introduction, Lisa was able to win his trust because she interacted with him in a manner that wasn't threatening. I was overjoyed as we had tried other sitters who couldnt get past the front door. They didn't want to invest their time into building a relationship with him. Lisa had been taking care of my pets for over 30 years, many cats and a dog. I have been very happy with her service, she is professional and it is obvious she loves her work and your pets. I highly recommend her her for when you need a pet sitter. You will be happy too

We first met Lisa at agility training for our dogs in 2010. She impressed us with her compassion with her dogs. She treated them well and they responded positively to her. We started using her for pet sitting in 2011 and every year since then. Her prices are reasonable, she is always on time and takes great care of our 2 dogs (Minnie and Gus). They love her. As an example we were at the Terraces recently and Lisa happened to walk by. Minnie became excited when she saw Lisa and actually jumped out of the car and chased after her to greet her. I don’t understand how anybody would have anything negative to say about her. She’s the best.

We LOVE Sitting Pretty!! I have entrusted my last 4 dogs (aka my babies!) to their care when we are out of town and for day care every so often. From the moment I opened the door I knew this was a great place for my pups. I was greeted warmly and I think I needed reassurance more than my dogs, Gracie & Jon Snow. They both passed the socialization and I soon took them to their 1st daycare on a Sunday. They’re already friendlier dogs on their walks and with strangers they don’t bark as much. They also slept well! I feel really confident to leave them at Canine Retreat for a quick getaway trip! They are making friends, too! Thanks, Canine Retreat! We joined 6 months ago and it has been a beyond a wonderful experience having our Golden Retriever Retro be a part of Canine Retreat pack. Especially on days that rain and daylight savings combined when we are unable to take him to the Doggie Park it is perfect. Retro loves other dogs so much and being able to drop him off in early AM before work and pick him up after work is truly a God send. The staff are so very professional and I am always relieved to see him on the Webcam whenever I want. Retro gets so excited to go there everytime, he just cant wait to go have fun, and he adores the staff there. He lights up with a grin from ear to ear and he has it everytime we drop him off. Retro is definitely one happy guy to be there. If I could give them more than 5 stars 🌟 I would for sure!

Milo LOVES Tuesdays as he knows he gets to spend the day at CR. At 8:00 am he is sitting by the door waiting to get in the car. He has so much fun playing with the dogs and I am grateful that the staff is always present and interactive with the pups. We are very pleased.

We have been taking our dog here since November. I don’t have enough words or space to say how much we love bringing our precious pup to Canine Retreat. The staff is so friendly and loves our little pup like their own. The dogs are separated by size and are supervised the whole time. You can watch them on camera and it’s been so fun to watch our shy, scared puppy grow into a confident member of the pack. We cannot get her out of the car fast enough when we arrive. It’s her favorite place other than home. We highly recommend canine retreat. We have complete peace of mind when we leave her there. It’s a great place to socialize your puppy. We are so happy with Canine Retreat and most importantly our sweet fur baby loves it also, she has had a couple of day stays and we also have just recently gone out of town and we left her in the GREAT care of all the fur baby care givers. It's so hard leaving your babies, let alone all day. So, finding a daycare that really puts the needs of your dog first has to be priority when choosing a daycare. Especially when it comes to your dogs routine and health. Canine Retreat does not seem to put the individual needs of your dog first. My babies were in their care yesterday for almost 12 hours! when I dropped them off I was rudly told by the older heavy set brunette in the front that I should have read the lunch and dinner information in the packet I was given on trial day. I brought dinner since my dogs were going to be in their care for almost 12 hours.She told me dinner was ONLY for Boarders. I asked if I could come by to feed my dogs dinner and was told no and then she had the audacity to tell me " your dogs will be fine. Most dogs don't even eat luch and since you're packing a luch they will be fine." .... It was clear that she did not care about my dogs health or their routine... Not to mention, my dogs didn't have a full lunch packed they only had a lite snack and would be going almost 14 hours between meals. AND I was still charged $8 for them to give my dogs their lunch snack. The cost is outrageous for daycare plus we have never been to a daycare where they charge you to give your dog a lunch that you packed. There are so many other daycares that give dogs rest breaks and the meal times are included in daycare price. It was horrible that instead of me feeling happy and worry free that my babies were in good hands while I was away, I was anxious not knowing how they were and worried because they had gone so long without a meal. To top it off, they advertise cameras, and they do not have this set up at the moment;so I was also unable to view my dogs. lastly, upon pick up I would like to know how they did, especially since it was their first day, and I'm unsure why I have to ask how they did. I am very displeased with the service I received, and I will definitely not be bringing my dogs back here.

This is the only place I trust leaving my babies! I have two fur babies- one is my dog aggressive old man and the other one is a very high energy pup. Bringing them here I know they will be safe. They have enclosed playtime together with no exposure to other dogs. I always get the VIP room for my old man and they take such great care of him. My high energy pup I bring here often for daycare and she loves it, especially when she can go swimming! The staff here is always great and I appreciate all the love and care they show my babies and myself!

VCA Kennel Club is the only boarding facility I trust with my pup! I love my dog more than ANYTHING, so when I trust a place or person with him it is a major milestone. I am beyond grateful for this place. I am able to take long and worry-free vacations because I know my dog is in good hands. They even sent me a photo of my pup when he was there during my birthday one year. Talk about cuteness overload. If you’re a super anxious paranoid dog mom or dad like me, then VCA Kennel Club is the place for you. Please support them! Book a stay for your pup for boarding or daycare! Wonderful, attentive personnel. Due to surgery I had to board my fur baby for over a month. Her care was excellent. She had daily walks, swim lessons (lol, not sure she enjoyed these) and playtime. If needed, I would definitely board her here again even though it's a long drive as I live on the westside of L.A.

My dog Pearl stayed for 4days. They were so caring and when I called every day they were so nice and let me know how she was doing. She must have had a good time. Love VCA Resort and Spa. I will never take Pearl anywhere else. Thank you for the excellent and loving care you gave Pearl.

Nobody likes having to board their dog for any amount of time, but the staff here at the Kennel Club have made it easier for me and my dog. My husky shepherd has some separation anxiety so she hates being anywhere else without us, but she's already made friends with the staff at the Kennel Club after just 3 stays. Knowing that she's well liked and feels familiar with the team at the facility has been very helpful for my peace of mind whenever she stays at the Kennel Club.

We have been customers of VCA Kennel Club Resort and Spa in Torrance for over 16 years with 5 dogs during this time. We had tried in-home pet sitting with familiar people and the dogs were healthier and happier when I would board them at VCA. Most of the staff has been there since we began going there in 2003. I feel so relaxed about going away whenever we drop the dogs off, they take great care of them and the dogs never get nervous when we bring them. The staff knows them by name when they arrive and the dogs are always happy to see them. It's the only place we consider for our dogs!

Barbie and her team at Superstar Petsitter was a wonderful find for me and my neighborhood of dogs. Her sitters go above and beyond and give the fur babies so much love that I wonder if they like our petsitter more. They are capable, easygoing and stick to my rules for my pups. I highly recommend her team any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

We’ve used Superstar Pet Sitting for years now for our aggressively friendly house cat, Meeko. We love knowing that Meeko gets all the care and attention she craves when we’re off on vacation. We were looking for a dog trainer as well as pet boarding. Mihail, owner of Long Beach Pet Care was highly recommended for our 6-month-old Brittany, Rhett. He loved his new play friends. He enjoyed group walks & lots of socializing and training at his 2 week-long summer camp. Mihail took such great care of our Rhett. I never worried about him. We live in Brea, the distance was not at all a problem for us. We highly recommend LBPC. Taking Rhett there will be a pleasure.

We found Long Beach Pet Care, shortly after moving to Long Beach a few years ago. The thing was we needed a dog walker that had experience with senior large breeds, specifically Akita‘s. If you own a Akita or large breed like an Akita, you know the struggle of finding reliable dog walkers, kennels or dog sitters that are willing to work with your breed. We were so happy to have found Mihail and his team with Long Beach Pet Care! They have a initial meet and greet, to make sure it’s a good fit. Our dog loved her walks with Mihail and team. She also got to enjoy group walks! I noticed a huge difference when I took her for walks after being walked by Mihail, she would walk at my pace. We had such a great experience with the walks, we added on daycare at times and overnight boarding. They truly care about the animals they walk or board, and as a owner you can have peace of mind that your dog will be exercised and enjoy fun times.

Received a call from my sister in law that my brother who is a cancer survivor and current dialysis patient is Septic throughout his body and Gangrene along with other heart issues has given him only days to live. As I am throwing stuff in a bag with one hand and renting a car to drive to Idaho with the other. I am thinking I have to go online and try and book care for my fur babies asap! I can’t even think at this point. I just call Mihail and leave him what I am sure is a very frantic message of needing care for my babies. I make contact with Mihail and he is so quick to assure me that he has “the crew” which he calls my 3 babies. I tell him I don’t know when I will be back and he says don’t worry I’ve got them. Just keep in touch. Yes! I have used Mihail’s services once before and that was a Huge Success!! So, his few words put me at ease that I didn’t have to worry. His constant communication during the time I was gone was priceless to me. I’m sure it was just his way of continuing to offer support and ease at a time that I needed it most. Far from what you could expect from an overpriced boarding/kennel service. Not only were my babies able to stay in their own home. Mihail’s, prices and commitment to care for them as his own. Long Beach Pet Care and its owner Mihail were a godsend to me three years ago when I was trying to find a dog walker for my new rescue pit-bull, Petunia. She is my baby, and I was not going to leave her in the hands of just anyone. Mihail took the time to come and meet Petunia -- free of charge -- to ensure she was a good fit for him and the other dogs she would be around, which she was. That was three years ago, and since then Petunia and Bowie (another pit mix who joined our family a few months later) have enjoyed countless doggy daycare outings and hikes with Mihail and the pack.
