We could not be more satisfied with the training that Mabel received at Happy Dogs Training! John and his staff were extremely knowledgeable, passionate and professional trainers. We tried many trainers before meeting John, but Mabel was still difficult. John and his staff worked to transform her behavior. John has been extremely patient and kind as he helped us to understand how to continue to work with Mabel at home. He also makes himself available when we have any questions. We couldn’t be happier! We are sincerely thankful to John and his team!

To suggest that I was apprehensive turning my pup over to "strangers" for 4 weeks would be an understatement, however, re-searching trainers in the area and their associated reviews clearly narrowed my search down to Happy Dogs. From our first meeting, surrounded by an incredible number of trophies and awards representing national and international recognition, it became abundantly clear John and his staff represent an unmatched collective expertise . John's ability to train the dog is clearly an expression of his uncanny understanding of the canine mind, and his ability to apply that understanding to his highly successful techniques,characterized by compassion and attention to the well being of the animal. I highly recommend Happy Dogs to the dog owner who demands successful training in the context of a compassionate, safe environment

We highly recommend John as a trainer! After interviewing many trainers in for our 18-month old Rottweiler, and after he evaluated our dog, we though that John was the best at setting our expectations for her training, putting in practical terms what goals we could achieve and how we would get there. Our dog spent 5 weeks with John and we are really happy with her training. John not only trained our dog but the 4 post-board training sessions with us and our dog, trained us how to handle her as well. We found John to be really observant correcting our body language and verbal cues, explaining to us what our dog’s perspective is. This helped us to adjust our routines with her at home and proof his training. We look forward to her next training session with him as we make progress together!

We couldn't be more pleased with the training John provided for our Cane Corso pup. Her obedience, eagerness to please, & training far exceeded our expectations!!! Reinforcing her training at home is actually fun! John made our puppy a delight to work with! We can not get over how obedient & smart she is. The facility is super clean and our girl was very well taken care of. She came home after her stay happy and healthy & gets excited when we revisit for follow-up training. Since we got Lucy, our rambunctious yellow lab pup, we’ve tried to teach her obedience in our built-up neighborhood and good behavioural habits in the house. Both goals proved elusive… until we met John Soares. John has not only trained Lucy to our complete satisfaction, but trained us to understand Lucy. He has directed us at every step in handling this lively, intelligent breed and in helping us understand the owner/pet relationship from the animal’s point of view. John is first and foremost an animal whisperer, but he then takes the time to watch you, the owner, as you replicate his commands, and then corrects you wherever you need guidance. We have found him to be an excellent coach in this regard, and I would say that his training fees are money very well spent, if you want a happy, responsive, and obedient dog. As I travel a lot for work, we’ve also left Lucy at Happy Dogs boarding kennels for extensive periods. The facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, and John, Kimiko, and all his staff genuinely care for the animals. There are no gimmicks, as many other kennels employ, just a sense that our dog gets the attention and exercise she needs, and comes back to us fit, healthy, and happy. I can honestly say that I have complete confidence leaving Lucy at Happy Dogs, and will continue to consider the kennels as her second home whenever I travel for work in the future. Took my 6.5 month Doberman for obedience training. John and team really did a great job, money well spent. Also, wanted to point out that John does ‘training’ of owners. Trust me, all owners need to learn how to communicate with their newly trained pets.

Highly recommend!!! John is amazing at training. He and the entire staff have gone above and beyond to ensure our dog was properly trained. He provided clear instructions and responded promptly to any of our questions. We are forever grateful to John and his team. Our dog is so much better at walking— no more pulling me or dragging me across neighbors lawns or chasing squirrels!!! . Again I highly recommend this place for any dog training needs. John and his team are the best. They took a my GSD who wouldn't listen to just about any directions and returned a pet that is under control and a pleasure to be with. Anyone looking for a Trainer and doesn't at least talk with John is making a mistake. Thanks to John and his team at Happy dogs!!

Very friendly and responsive We boarded our pets with them for just over 1 week. When we picked up our cats they were pretty relaxed with freshly trimmed nails. Pick up and drop off were both seamless. The staff was quick to answer questions ahead of time and responsive while we were away.

I have been taking my blind, elderly dog to this kennel for a while now. The staff is always very responsive to my voicemails and e-mails and eager to help me with my needs whether it’s boarding or grooming. My dog always seems excited when i get there to drop him off which is a good sign and he always looks and smells great when I have him groomed. The prices are very good and the location is on a main road in Voorhees and easy to access.

My dog has been happy going in and when I pick him up he’s relaxed and happy. The play yards are large and shady, staff friendly and helpful. Have already scheduled more stays:)

Whenever I travel, I take my kitty Pippa to Lakeside Kennel. The staff is awesome and Pippa is on various medications and she gets excellent care during her stay. I love that I can check in whenever I want and see pics of Pip posted daily on Facebook.

Lakeside saved our memorial weekend trip by watching our two cats. Was able to book in only a couple days in advanced and the process was nothing but easy. Liz was very responsive in any questions or concerns we had prior to their stay. The up to date daily photos on Facebook helps confirm your pets are in good hands. Love supporting local businesses and this is a Pet Hotel that you should definitely give a chance if in the area.

Been bringing my dog here for 5 years for boarding and grooming. They offer a hybrid kennel, partially indoor, partially outdoor. I am confident they really do walk and play with my dog throughout her stay, and in the summer she gets to splash in a pool! Great staff that knows and really cares for my dog.

I boarded my diabetic cat for 11 days this month and the experience was great! They were knowledgeable about administering insulin and they posted a pic of him on their Facebook every day so I could check up on him! Everyone I talked to was kind and upfront about pricing. I’d definitely recommend, especially if your cat has medical issues!

Great experience. Staff is extremely pleasant and patient. Reasonable rates. We boarded 2 dogs and a cat for 9 days. All three were perfectly fine and happy to see us when we returned. They offer other services such as bathing, exercise time and special pet treats. 100% satisfied and will definitely use them again

We've been boarding dogs here for a very long time, and have not had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, even with some of our more challenging pups. The online booking option is nice, I wish more places offered that service.

I don't know what I'd do without these guys! They always take great care of my dog, and he's always excited when we go there. They are flexible, knowledgeable, and kind. Would recommend to anyone who wants to board their pet without being worried about them.

Let me start off by saying Liz and her husband are great people. I was so nervous to bring my vida to Liz because she was so matted and when I say matted she was matted rolling in the grass everything a dog should do mine just happens to be a poodle which is probably one of the hardest breeds to cut and I’m not no dog expert but Liz did magic on my dog!!!!! Thank you Liz !!!

Love Liz she is phenomenal! She does a great job with my dogs! Wouldn’t go anywhere else! They smell so good and stay clean feeling much longer than when I got them groomed elsewhere.

Liz groomed our Beagle/Sheltie mix and he looks and smells incredible! She got us on the schedule quickly and handled our pup amazingly. So professional and you can tell she loves animals. Absolutely recommend. Affordable as well.

Liz is wonderful. I feel very comfortable bringing my nervous 2 mini dachshunds there. She is very knowledgeable. Treats one client at a time and the girls come out looking and smelling beautiful. I am so glad we were referred to her by other happy clients .

My babies adore Liz! I have Neapolitan Mastiffs and they are my shadow. She has a way with them. They always come home happy and smelling great!! Aside from her doing an INCREDIBLE job my dogs love her and that is what is most important to me. However I no longer have to worry about choosing a groomer that does a great job or a groomer that my dogs like. This is the best of both worlds.

Liz is the most talented and caring dog groomer and person I've ever met. She's the only one I trust to groom my full grown long-haired Golden Retriever. Can't recommend enough!

The groomer is awesome! She really loves what she does, loves the animals and it shows...She takes her time and makes my dog feel so comfortable, so happy to have found her.

Great service took my bluetick foxhound mix to them. They were great we found a great spot to get her bathed and nails done.
