We made last minute travel plans with our pup to St Augustine. The town is very dog friendly, but there were some tours we wanted to do that didn’t allow dogs and our dog was having separation anxiety in the hotel. A quick google led us to Monika. She answered immediately and let us drop off our dog within 10-15 minutes. She gave us a tour of her facilities and assured us our pup would be safe and happy. She sent messages and photos throughout the day (including the one posted) and was very flexible with our pickup time. This was a service we didn’t know we needed but are so glad we found! Looking forward to visiting St Augustine again with our dog and trusting him with Monika.
Thanks so much for such a great stay! ❤️ You took such great care of our Sandy n gave her so much love n fun! She learned to socialize n play with other dogs n the pics you sent were adorable! She opened up n had so much fun! It was such a relief to have a fun place for her to go with lots of love n care while we did some business in town!I I am sure we will be back again! Highly recommend Doggy Drop n Go to any dog owner! 👍
We left Willow with Monica while we moved our daughter into college. She took such excellent care of her and sent pictures and videos all day! Willow had so much fun she didn’t didn’t want to come home! Monica is an amazing person and the second I met her I knew that she would love and care for our Willow just like we do. I highly recommend this perfect doggy daycare! We will be back!
I bring my dog here a couple of days a week for daycare, he loves it! Monika is really great with him, makes sure he always has a good time and gives him lots of attention. She sends me many cute pics throughout the day so I know he is happy 😊 Excellent service overall! …
Monika is a gem. Her service is so personal. I left my dog Annette with her feeling completely comfortable and confident in her care and safety. Thank you so much Monika!
If you want to leave your pup and be assured that they will be loved and taken care of, this is your place!! Going out for a historic date night? Entertaining some friends downtown? Visiting but looking for a place the locals love and trust? Drop your pup off here. Monika is so great with your dogs and the price is more than reasonable. Our dog absolutely loves it here and we know your precious baby will too. We have a senior dog and she took amazing care of him.
We couldn’t find a place for him so we brought him here but I am so glad that we did. Our dog had the best time here. He kept going back to her as we were leaving so that tells me that he was treated really well.
Monika was so accommodating. She was flexible in our drop off and pick up time. Our sweet pups are usually very anxious around other dogs but she helped them enjoy their time in her care. We enjoyed our time in St Augustine and did not have to worry about our fur babies. We will definitely be back!🥰 …
Had our pup, Harley, spend the day with Monika at Doggy Drop 'n' Go in St. Augustine (literally, just a couple minutes from town). Monika kept us updated with pictures and texts throughout the day. Harley could not have been in better hands for the day. He had a wonderful stay and met a doggy friend, Monika even gave him some free training! If we could award higher than 5 stars we certainly would. Thank you so much, Monika, for loving our baby like we do! Definitely will be seeing you on our next visit 🐕🌴🐕.
Teddy, our 3 year old Cavalier, loves to go to Doggy Drop n Go. He visits with his doggy friends and socializes, and he also receives training. The facility is in a great location and very clean. Monika Hartman, the owner and a professional dog trainer, is totally in tune with what makes a great doggy daycare for both canines and their humans - the environment is fantastic. Monika has been training our Teddy for several weeks and we saw a marked change after the first session and continue to see growth with every visit. Teddy is focused and listens and obeys eagerly and always wagging his tail with a happy grin! Monika's positive, kind but firm manner has brought a change in Teddy. A different dog- happy and calm and eager to go on walks and practice his obedience lessons! Doggy Drop n Go is a great place to take your furry family member!
John was so sweet with our dogs. We’ve used his services twice while we have been in town on vacation. He made sure our Jack Russell was calm and happy when he was having anxiety about a new person and us being gone for the day. I high recommend him to residents and vacationers! Thank you so much for everything!
The 3 not so flattering reviews are fake. I’ve never met Tim Clow, Laura Bryant and Craig Cameron. I’ve researched all my records over the last 11 years since I’ve started this business and they have not so much as even contacted me. Not only have I never met either of the 3, I’ve also never cared for pets they may own. It’s illegal to place false reviews online and Google has been absolutely NO help in researching this matter. so until I hire an attorney to deal with Google and the 3 in question, I suppose these reviews will just sit here. I have plenty of excellent references I can provide when requested. Thanks!
Awesome 👍👍👍👍 …
We have such a timid and nervous dog (Teagen). Very happy that they made her feel so comfortable for the time she has stayed! Even better being able to watch her on the live cameras and they did such a fantastic job giving her personal attention! Love love love it! Thank you!
Our 2 corgis spent the weekend and seemed to love their stay and the staff! Everyone is professional and friendly and they played a lot with the dogs. It’s very clean, spacious and well ventilated. We’ll definitely bring them back in the future!
My dog, Lucy, can be very anxious and loud around other dogs. So much so, it frightens our house sitter so we have to board her when we go out of town. She used to fear car rides and now gets excited to "get dressed" and "go see miss Maggie" which brings me to saying: This location is filled with the sweetest, most accommodating, empathetic staff we have ever encountered. I am able to actually relax on vacation not worrying about my misunderstood loud silly girl getting ignored or verbally abused because someone is frightened of her. She is excited to go and she comes home happy and relaxed. She doesn't smell when she leaves or come home and drink gallons of water then pass out, like she has at other places. This lets me know she's not stressed, is happy and getting her needs met. I am so incredibly grateful to have found this place. Thank you so much Maggie for loving on our girl and to everyone here behind the scenes who has helped care for Lucy. You guys are top notch.
We boarded our 2 year old cattle dog for a week and felt she was well taken care of and looked after. This was the first time she’s ever been boarded. She’s always stayed with family, so we loved getting to see her on the webcam. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. They all seem happy and to really care about the dogs’ well-being. Being a high energy, active breed, we felt she was able to get enough stimulation and playtime. We added doggie ice cream every other day. Of course, our pup was extremely excited to see us on pickup. She seems happy, not anxious, no signs of illness, injury or stress, and is her normal goofy self. We would definitely board her here again. I would recommend Pet Paradise St. Augustine to anyone looking for a day camp or boarding facility.
We left our 2 pups here for 10 days. It's really hard to leave them for that long, but the staff there make it so fun and such a loving environment for the pups, we didn't have to worry about our fur babies! When we picked them up, they were clean, fluffed and perky! Ready to go home and snuggle! Thanks guys!💖 …
It’s hard leaving your pet anywhere, but of course it’s not always practical to take them on trips with you. I was so grateful for the special offer Pet Paradise was offering for a free day at the camp to meet the staff. My dog was well taken care of, and I loved the cameras they have set up around the establishment to check in on your pets. We look forward to boarding him here for our next trip and feel at peace knowing he’ll be somewhere safe where he can have fun too. I’d say the only hard part is knowing that since he’s not fixed yet (at the suggestion of our vet to wait for the 2 year mark), he isn’t allowed to play with other dogs, can only have 1-on-1 time, and it costs more money. It’s still worth it to us, just makes us a little sad, knowing it’ll be like this for 1.5 more years any time he has to be boarded.
Oh my gosh! We LOVE pet paradise. We brought our puppy who’s just shy of 3 months, so naturally (we were a bit nervous to drop him off and go)..however the girls at the front desk were so sweet and attentive, I immediately knew he would be in great hands! When we picked him up he was happy, and so excited to go back the following day. 10 out of 10 , definitely will be recommending!
BORDETELLA and MORE! I boarded my dog, Rocco, here 3 times in the last 4 months, usually 11-15 days each time. He was completely vaxxed prior to his 1st stay & has NEVER bit/attacked another dog or human. They would NOT honor the remaining 800+ reward points I had accumulated for all 3 stays. Total cost: $1733! Rocco was diagnosed with Bordetella, AKA Kennel Cough, by my vet' the next day. This was an additional $149.25 for the antibiotics & services. It was during a 15 day stay, and I still wonder how long he had to suffer... I was not offered any compensation, though I requested it after the 3rd stay. They told me it was "the season" for this disease (In July???). My dog, I was told, was separated from the other dogs because of his breed (Staffy/Pitbull Terrier). I never ONCE saw him on the live cams that they provide online. They gave him a white collar with the word "CAUTION" written on the front, yet his "Pawgress Report" stated that he was "Shy, Relaxing & Exploring", cleaned his bowl and is welcome back any time. Each time, I brought toys for him to play with, some did not return. Twice, he did NOT get to play with them, since they came back brand new and squeaking. On the 3rd stay, I asked if they let him play with the toys and was told that he "had so much fun playing every day with them". I picked up one toy, held it up and squeaked it. Rocco usually disables the squeak in less than 4 minutes. I don't like being lied to... The manager informed me that the "Next time it happens again, please notify them" so that they can disinfect the immediate area for Bordetella. NEXT TIME?!? There will be no "next time", I can assure you! -Sonny Zito ( And now, I can expect the same copy/paste, banal and rhetorical reply from them. How they strive to insure customer satisfaction, meeting or beating expectations and possibly a lame apology.)
Let me start by saying this incident happened a couple of years ago… September 2022. I didn’t say anything at the time because I was sooo angry about it, I couldn’t find the right words, and then as time went on, I felt it was too late to post about it. I am making this post now because I tried to take my dog to a daycare where we live now, and she is TERRIFIED- almost 2 years later. She used to love going to PP, and I used to love it too! Until the day we didn’t. I was curious if other people had the same experience we did, and reading PP’s responses to many posts, I am again pissed about this and now wish to share our experience… I dropped my pup (50lb pit mix) off for a full day of day care. I had no worries leaving her there, and she was always happy to go! The last day we were there, they bring her out and she’s moving a little slow. Not entirely unusual, it was a hotter day and she was there all day so I figured she was just tired. They said “she was great” and quickly walked away. I figured they were busy so we left. We got home and she wouldn’t jump out of the car…thought maybe she was tired? Bring her in the house, and she just stood by the door, wouldn’t move. I picked her and carried her up the stairs, when I set her down, she let out the loudest yelp I’ve ever heard out of her… They returned my dog to me with ALL of her paw pads completely raw, a few still had the top layer, but those were hanging by a thread. I called them and they said “yeah, that sometimes happens with high energy dogs with the wet turf.” (If this is something you’re aware of, maybe take better precautions to prevent it?) I can understand why it happens, but I don’t understand how they let it happen.… this is not something that happens in an instant, it takes time. She was suffering…with how she was walking and acting, there is no way she finished her day of playing and they should have checked on her and notified me of her injuries. The daycare employees did not notify me, and acted as if they knew of it and avoided that confrontation. Obviously, my dog needed vet care… sedation, debridement, and follow up wound care totaling over $700… I called them saying this isn’t right, it’s negligent in my opinion. They claimed their lawyers say it’s not negligence and they are not liable. They “made it right” by refunding me for that day, and giving me a $200 PP credit (as if I would ever bring her there again). So, when I read on posts that they provide a “safe” environment and the care of your pet is their priority…that may be the case for most, but not us. I hope nobody had/will have the same experience we did, but it is worth putting out there how PP deals with these situations. Like I said, almost two years later, and my dog still remembers what her last day of doggie day care was like…
We took advantage of the "1 free night" for first time boarders. Our dog loved it so much he dragged us in, tail wagging, for his second boarding visit.
Great place because if the great loving caring people. Rubi can’t wait to see them
Cage-free dog care!! They believe that people, not cages, should care for dogs...me too!!
Great place to go to.
Pet camp is great! Agility classes, doggie daycare, dock diving… they have it all! And it’s a very well run place where dogs are #1
Pet Camp isn't just a name, it is actually a place we feel good about taking our beloved pet. From arrival (where he is greeted by his fellow campers on the shaded, open camp grounds) to departure, we are confident that our buddy is in good hands away from home. No additional upcharge nonsense, more bang for the buck than we could have hoped for. If I were a dog, I'd be asking my humans to take me to Pet Camp!
Silke is a true professional dog trainer. Great information. Wonderful class activity level without fatigue. Dogs become students and respond to instruction. Awesome facility! A must for serious dog owners. We are happy Dog Campers!
I had my standard poodle ‘Buzz’ groomed at Pet Camp by their new groomer yesterday. She did a fantastic job! He looks beautiful and smells even better. Ears, nail, all done to perfection. Thank you Silke for finding a real professional to groom our pups. Joanne thank you again!
Is this the place that impaled a dog in their care and gave it stitches? Then making the owner of the Anatolian shepherd pay the vet bill?
Fantastic place for boarding, daycare, and of course, the best dog grooming.
We've been using Pet Camp for years and our golden retrievers have the best time. It's the only place we've found that allows dogs to run outside and have fun. It's spacious and they treat them well.
I've gone to other agility trainings but Silka's style works best. I have not actually used the pet boarding area, however the staff when I have called there are very professional and friendly.
My granddog Loves Pet Camp and we feel she is very safe there.
Great place to leave your dog for the day or a trip. They spend tons of time outside playing with others and are well cared for.
Hannah was absolutely amazing! She came to my house to feed and let out my two dogs while I was out of town. She sent pictures and updates each time on how they were doing. This was the first time I have used them and I will be using them again!
The Ruff House South has been incredible to our little pup. We have had dog walkers before and coordination was hard, charging extra $, etc. this is not the case with Ruff House. They are extremely flexible and care about our little pup so much. We get updated pictures and texts everytime they walk with our dog. If anyone in the St. Augustine area needs a dog walker I highly recommend. Hannah and Donald, thank you for your help and keep up the good work.
Ruff House is absolutely the best for your fur babies!! They go above and beyond with care of your animals, spending quality time walking and playing with them along with awesome photo updates! Flexible times and days, great pricing for walks and respond quickly. We love them and so do our dogs! Don and Hannah are wonderful and we use them for overnight visits too. They take care of our dogs like they are their own and have used their services for years. Highly recommend to any one looking for trusted pet care services!!
We have used Ruff House for years, both for dog walking and stay-at-home care. They're 100% reliable and send us daily updates of our pups while we're at work or out of town. Most importantly, they take the time to get to know our dogs, understand their routines, and to make sure they're both safe and comfortable. We cannot recommend them enough!
The Absolute BEST Dog Care in North Florida Hands Down! Whether you live in St. Augustine or the greater Jacksonville area, Ruff House is the Go-To place for your pets. Donald and Hannah took the best care of our two rescues, Candy and Cookie who initially were not well socialized. Each day we received photos of our little Maltese walking, sitting and yes laying down with the Big Dogs! The girls came home happy and tired. Do yourself a favor and book a stay for your furry friend, you won't regret it :)
I've taken my dog to several different places for daycare, and our experience with Donald and Hannah was definitely the best! The home atmosphere is great, my (very shy) dog Reese liked them right away, and she's even allowed on the couch at naptimes! Donald and Hannah also sent me pictures and video of Reese playing with the other dogs. Cannot recommend enough!
This is hands down the best daycare for dogs you could possibly imagine. Nobody could come close to Hanna and Donald, as a team they will have your "loyal / best friend" hesitating to leave at the end of the day, and you would think you have a professional photographer doing a photo shoot of your pal with the frequent pics you receive through-out the day. Thanks Hanna and Donald, you guys are the best.
What a awesome place. Donald and Hannah are true animal lovers. Ruff House South is a gorgeous place. We never had to worry if our dogs were safe and we felt great knowing they were having such blast. Thanks Ruff House South!
We used The Ruff House for our beloved dog Eddie, when we and they were in JAX. We have since moved to Sarasota and cannot find anything even close to this kind of personalized and family environment type care. I am considering driving 4 hours to leave him with Hannah and Donald when we go to Europe next year. They are the best!
Love ruff house! Hannah and Donald are amazing dog lovers. I wouldn't want anyone else caring for my little pup. Thank you guys so much for letting me travel while knowing my Roxie is in great hands!
Anastasia Island Pet Sitting and Home Watch is top notch and they have definitely made a life-time customer of us! We never left our baby Rocco before and were a little nervous about leaving him. But the team was so caring and friendly and easy to work with, that our minds were at ease the entire time we were away. They truly took care of Rocco as their own! If you’re looking for a service that’s like having family watch over your pets or home, Anastasia Island Pet Sitting and Home Watch is who you should call.
The best pet sitter anyone could ask for! This was the first time my new cat had a pet sitter. Michelle was extremely nice, caring and dependable! With each visit Michelle texted me and sent pictures of my cat. It was so reassuring to know that he was receiving special, loving care while I was away.
I am so happy I found Anastasia Island Pet Sitting. My dog has very high anxiety when I leave and typically will not eat or sleep. I was comforted by the way they treated my dog like she was part of their family. I received texts with pictures of my dog eating and playing in the back yard!!! So happy!!! Will be calling them again for my next vacation!
Thank you so much for taking care of Beau while we were away! Our plans were "fluid" up until the last minute and I didn't want to put our anxious pup in a public doggy day care. I was so happy you were available to watch over him! It really helped reduce my worries while traveling out of town, knowing that he was in capable, loving hands. With so much uncertainty these days, it was great knowing Beau was in good care!
My local dog whisperer! I would trust Dale with any dog, regardless of the size or age. She helped care for my elderly dog with kindness and gentleness. He was a 50 pound Springer, and she would help him up and down steps and even a good massage! She helped to make his last weeks, happy weeks. And now, she has given me some practical advice and training tips for handling a new puppy. I highly recommend!
Dale is amazing and the only person we trust with our sweet dog Stella. She is super attentive and makes sure your pet will be super comfortable. I was in constant contact and was sent the sweetest pictures of my fur baby while she was in her care. She even came back home less sassy and such a sweet girl. I will always use Dale’s Peaceful Pet Care to take care of my baby.
Dale is amazing. She is a pet whisperer. My Abbey was a difficult dog but Dale knew just what to do to calm her so she could walk her and take care of her while I was away. She gave me peace of mind that my girl was in good hands.
Dale is by far the best pet sitter I've ever had. She is caring, compassionate and highly knowledgeable. She loves all animals and I know I can completely trust her with my kitty Lily. I highly recommend her!
Really made it easy to leave our cats alone. Really did a wonderful job with them. Could tell how by our cat didn't ignore us when we walked in the door. It was like we were never gone. Thanks for the love!!!
