Ally was great! We got to meet for a few minutes before I headed out and I felt super reassured that both Goose and my home were in good hands. My cat is picky when it comes to strangers, but he was comfy in Ally’s lap right away the first night! She communicated well and sent cute pictures while I was away. My home was clean and Goose was happy when o got back. I highly recommend Ally as a sitter and she’s welcomed back anytime!
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!
Chris and Julia were our very first sitters and are the most perfect house/pet sitters anyone would ever want!!! Julia sent video/pictures of our fur babies everyday and we noticed early on that our animals were very relaxed and happy!! This made our trip so enjoyable and stress free knowing that our animals were safe and being spoiled and loved the whole time. They even trained our dog to sit while her leash was being attached and was able to pet and hold our cat that is somewhat nervous around strange people he doesn't know. When I got back from the trip, the house was very clean along with Julia/Chris had washed the bed sheets, bath towels, vacuumed, dusted etc., and even washed the pet bedding. They also left some SE Asia treats for us to try which so sweet of them. Definitely the perfect house sitters!!!
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Daniel and Vasylyna were incredible house sitters and we would welcome them back to sit for us again any time they are available! They were fantastic communicators, making sure to work out details far in advance and they sent frequent picture updates of our animals which made us so happy while we were away. When the power went out in the neighborhood while they were here leading to a technology issue with our alarm system, they handled everything well. Upon our return, the house was clean, the garden was thriving and well cared for, and our dog and cat were clearly very loved while we were away - in fact our dog was sooooo sad to see them leave! I had the pleasure of getting to know them a bit before I left, and they are such a kind, adventurous, and great couple. I would highly recommend having Daniel and Vasylyna take care of your house, plants, and animals!
Ruoyi was the perfect sitter for our cat Toni! We would highly recommend her to any pet owner, and hope she can sit for us again in the future. Ruoyi was very thorough - she made sure there was full alignment on all the specifics of her pet duties, and she asked thoughtful questions regarding details we forgot to include in our guide. She always provided us timely updates at the agreed cadence, and gave us a ton of photos. From the photos, it's clear she got in a lot of play time with Toni, which we really appreciated! :) We were able to enjoy our entire vacation stress-free knowing Toni was in such good hands. Ruoyi left our apartment completely clean and offered to wash linens.
I highly recommend Daniel as a pet sitter and house sitter! He took care of Pipa for over three months this winter and did an outstanding job. From the first day, it was clear that he had a genuine love for animals and a great deal of experience with pets. He was very attentive to his needs and always made sure he was comfortable, well-fed, and had plenty of playtime. In addition to his pet-sitting duties, Daniel also went above and beyond by processing my postal mail and keeping the house well-organized. He was very responsible and reliable, always arriving on communicating, putting the bins out, and watering the plants on time, and keeping me updated with photos and messages. I felt completely at ease knowing that my cat was in such good hands and that my home was well-cared for while I was away. When I returned from my trip, Pipa was happy, healthy, and well-adjusted, thanks to Daniel's excellent care. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet and house sitter!
Catherine was a wonderful sitter for our 17 year old cat Zabba. She sent us pictures twice a day and kept us informed about Zabba’s daily activities. We came home to a clean home and would definitely recommend her as a pet/ house sitter. My only concern was that she doesn’t drive and with an older cat, I just prayed that Zabba didn’t need to go to the vet…. And he didn’t 🥰. We will ask her again for sure.
Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. She even pulled a large broken tree branch off my roof following a windstorm. I hope Heidi is available for my next trip because she is awesome. Jim
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $21/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
I dropped off my son's and daughter-in-law's dogs, a black retriever and a mixed English sheepdog/St Bernard/mastiff (BIG dog!) on a Wednesday and picked the dogs up the following Sunday. The family was out of town for a holiday and the dogs need lots of activity, more than I can provide working and living a 30-minute drive away. Both dogs were happy to see me during the pickup, but I could tell they had fun at Wag's Spa by the way they behaved. They were happy to nap after a short room in the yard at home and they quickly settled in their kennels for the night without any complaints. Wag's will be used again.
I made a reservation several weeks in advance for Thanksgiving weekend. When I had my dog dropped off they informed me they took it upon themselves to cancel my reservation and claimed to tell me they cancelled it. But I have no record of any call or email from them. It really messed with my holiday plans. When I messaged them to complain about it they did not acknowledge or do anything to make it up. I don’t recommend relying on them for your pups stay. It’s really upsetting and frustrating they’d do that and not handle it.
The staff here is so amazing. Bouncer still loves going every day. Cannot say enough good stuff about Wags. Yup, we're still here. 5, sometimes 6 days a week. Bouncer was even voted Dog of the Month for August. He received a really awesome basket with toys and treats, created specifically for him. We love Wags. Life wouldn't be the same without them.
Used to be a 5/5 process. They all know my dog by name. He loves going there. But calling the location is a huge pain in the neck! You call the store and then you’re thrown to some call center overseas. What small company like this outsources their calls to India?! Definitely not a way to feel personal with your loyal customers. This interaction alone has made me reconsider Wags Pet Resort and going to a competitor. What a pain in the A$$.
Today, I took my dog to this facility to do a boarding assessment. When I picked him up, I found my dog was seriously injured! There is a scrape on his face, very near to his left eye. The wound is very deep!! The staff said they did not even see it. They are not apologetic at all and did not even seem to care about my puppy! I am very upset and disappointed for this place. Definitely I will never come back again and would recommend other dog owners think twice before sending your dog here. This is not a place you can trust.
Wags has been amazing. Our dog is older and needing a lot more TLC while boarding and the employees there went above and beyond to try to help our old girl feel comfortable. It means the world to us. ❤️
All I have to say to my dogs is “Wags” and they already have one paw out the door. They love wags so much!! To me, when your dog love something, that should tell you how amazing the place and people are. In addition to my dogs loving it- I appreciate Wags staff so much! They are truly compassionate and loving towards my dogs and I know they are in amazing care when I drop them off. They are a full service facility which is super convenient for when your dog needs training, grooming, daycare, or hoteling. I highly recommend wags!
Our Goldendoodle, Griz, has been going to Wags since they opened in Sherwood and we have had nothing but the BEST experience! Griz is a gentle giant, he tends to be a bit scared and nervous of basically everything, but at Wags he is so happy and confident! Cassie, the owner, taught Griz tricks that I never thought he’d be capable of. She is quite honestly one of his favorite people along with the rest of the staff at Wags. They are so much more than just a daycare, they truly love your dog like their own. Every morning the staff welcomes Griz with the biggest cheers and good morning hugs, he walks in and out of there like royalty and he loves it! I just couldn’t be happier with Wags. At the end of the day, he comes home absolutely exhausted! He gets tons of physical and mental exercise and the entire staff at Wags consistently go out of their way to love, play, and take perfect care of him. We are so lucky to have found Wags!!! Attached is his Christmas photo they took of him! Yes, they do that too! 😍😍
The only place we trust with our dogs. But most importantly, the only place our dogs love. We have tried a couple other companies closer to our home. Our dogs hated it there! And they let us know it. When we turn down the street to WAGS the dogs start jumping around the car and can’t wait to jump out. We love WAGS Sherwood!
My 3 dogs went in for an hour evaluation, and 20 minutes later, they called and asked for me to pick the dogs up because they were not a good fit for their facility. When I arrived, they proceeded to tell me that they put them in an isolated area by themselves. So, they were dropped off in a strange location with people they don't know. They were scared, and they were left alone for what they said was 10 minutes. In that 10 minutes, one of my dogs managed to cut her noise on their fence, trying to escape. I spent two hours at the vet to attend to her wound. My question is, shouldn't they have been evaluating them in person for the full hour and not leaving them alone in an unfamiliar place by themselves?
We r very happy we found a clean and great dog boarding for the first time for our dog snow . The staff is very polite friendly and accommodating ! Specially the two young people ( VEC And SID ) who handed over the dog to us , hope I spelled their names correct , sorry if I didn’t . Dropping and picking up was very easy and quick . I so appreciate the cleanliness of the premises and very professional service they provide . Snow was clean and looked very well taken care of when we picked up . Thank you very much . Wish you all the best for your business!!!
Absolutely love this place. They remember my pup, Miss Maggie, each time we bring her. The front office staff is super friendly. They answer the phones or call you right back every time! They are able to send pictures on occasion. My dog loves it here! Plus all the activities they offer is the best!
We love The Tail Wag Inn and our pup gets so excited for her getaway when we travel. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. It makes our vacations more enjoyable knowing our dog is well taken care of and spoiled by staff in our absence. Thank you for all you do. Until next time!
Somewhat difficult turn in the driveway at night. Services were extremely good. It was my Corgi's first experience, an he was a happy camper.!.!
They've watched all my fur babies and they are incredibly happy and tired when they get home. That's a sure sign that they're getting some amazing love and attention which is all I can hope for. The cats especially. Usually they're mad when I get home from a trip and with tail wag there is no passive aggressive behavior for days on end upon my return.
THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE AC AT ALL. I realize this is Oregon but it was over 90* for a week straight and all those poor dogs must have been so hot. I would not take my dog here knowing they will suffer in the heat.
Immediately felt comfortable leaving our big golden retriever with this friendly team of people. You can sign up for extra services such as more playtime with humans or dogs or nature walks or even a bath and nail trim. Prices extremely good for what you get. Our dog’s name was on a board with other pets arriving that day, along with the names and photos of caretakers who would look after him. Our guy seemed to have a fantastic time! We would book again, 100%!! So glad we found this place.
My husband and I had our two senior dogs spend a day for dog daycare on 12/9/23 while we were out running errands. We have used Tail Wag Inn several times in the past boarding our dogs and cats and dog daycare. They always took excellent care of our pets and goes above and beyond taking care of them. When we boarded all four of our pets while we were on honeymoon back in 09/23, one of the staff was kind enough to send me pictures updates of my pets when I called to check on them. Keep up the awesome customer service : ) You guys rock!
My dog Poe LOVES it there!!! I've never seen her so excited to go to day care before and the staff always gave her so much attention.. I am sad we had to say good bye.. they are a special group of girls that work there!!
Absolutely phenomenal service from Tail Wag Inn. I had to board my cat while I moved apartments. The move in date got delayed twice and it ended up being almost a month. Tail Wag Inn was always super understanding and accommodating when I had to change my pickup date for my cat. The people there were super friendly and took great care of Malcom. I couldn't be happier with their service.
Randi is the absolute best! I moved here from Florida last year and I was hesitant to board my two Goldendoodles anywhere. We found Randi and she has been amazing and a lifesaver. I can travel and I never have to worry about my girls, because they are well taken care of at Randi’s. I also love that she sends me photos of them running free in her yard while I’m away, or resting on the couch :-) I would recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care in a warm and inviting home environment.
10/10! I felt so safe leaving my small dog with her; I felt right away like she was such a great dog person. My dog is normally nervous, and I felt like she might want to stay here forever. She send me daily pictures without me asking. A true professional, would recommend!
I impulsively brought home a rescue dog. I needed to go to work the next day. Randi was my rescue. She helped my pup and I settle in to a routine. Fast forward 3 years and another rescue dog. Randi remains flexible and supportive through it all. My dogs and cat look forward to her visits/walks.
A wonderful place with dogs, cats, fish, birds, and all your needs for the above
Love love LOVE Camp Kiss-a-Pet! My dogs get SOO excited when we are driving up the road to them - we no longer say our dogs are at the kennel, we say they are at their own vacation 😁 …
Our dog loved her stay (I think) and we appreciated the rural setting and veterinarian owner being on site
Kris does such a great job making sure my doggie is comfy and happy while I'm away. She really cares for all the animals.
Our dogs have stayed several times and have loved it.
Awesome atmosphere, owner is amazing, animals are well loved.
My pups loved it here!!
Shari is the absolute BEST!! She took such amazing care of my kitty, Toby, for years - whenever we took a vacation or even just needed a night out! He had a heart condition and had to take pills every 12 hours. I completely trusted Shari with his care and felt like I could relax knowing that he was in her dependable hands. She would send pictures and updates on how he was doing every day. If something was off or he wasn’t taking his pills, she would contact me right away. I never had to worry when Shari was taking care of him. The online scheduling and payment options are super easy to use and Shari is very responsive and accommodating. Shari cares so much that she even came over just to say goodbye when we knew Toby wasn’t going to be with us much longer. She truly cares. I highly recommend Shari’s Pet Sitting Services and will be asking her to pet sit all our future furkids.
Shari has been caring for our menagerie of pets for years. I have such peace of mind when they are in her care. She always goes above and beyond, even sending us updates with pictures. Excellent petsitter. Highly Recommend.
Shari's been walking my dogs 3 times a week for over 2 years now. She's fantastic - even taking time to help train my dogs while she's at it. My dogs love to greet her at the door and are very much in to the routine and the attention she gives them. She's top-notch - very good at what she does.
Shari is amazing and such a wonderful help to us and our pups. She has an awesome online portal to schedule your visits with and she always sends an update with photos when she leaves that are very detailed. I would recommend her to anyone with any type of pet!
Oh Shari, what a gem! I’m so happy we came across this business when looking for someone to care for our dogs. I was so anxious about leaving them, but she completely put my mind at ease. Sending pictures, updates, even videos during our trip made me able to truly relax and enjoy our time away. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Shari!
Sharon and her family are awesome dog sitters! She was very thorough when taking my dog for the first time, and I appreciated that. That diligence made me trust her. My little Doxie always has a great time playing with Johnny and whatever other residents are there and comes home happy and tired. She has a big fenced yard and the best part is Sharon works from home so the dogs aren’t alone. I totally recommend her!
Left my 11 month old puppy with them for 5 nights & she came home with kennel cough, among other things. Could not get ahold of anybody for the first 4 days. This was her first (& last) time staying there & she has some anxiety so I wanted to make sure she was doing okay. Called multiple times everyday, left voicemails, emailed & even tried sending a message through their website. No response until the day before I came to pick her up. When I did, she reeked of urine and her coat was greasy where she had clearly laid in urine & was not cleaned up (who knows how many times?) First staff member that I interacted with when I dropped her off was completely unknowledgable abt anything having to do with boarding. Gave me a card to email for updates, however the staff member I spoke to when I picked her up gave me completely contradicting information than the first. She also completely ignored my concern & complaint of being unable to reach anybody abt the wellbeing of my dog for 4 days. Simply replied that I used the wrong email & to use the correct one next time. My dog started coughing & hacking horrendously after I brought her home & given her a bath. They never mentioned anything abt them having any issues or concerns of kennel cough at their facility but she did in fact come home with it. Immediately took her to the vet & a $250+ bill later .. she's on 10 days of antibiotics for kennel cough & a suspected bladder infection. The facility itself reeks & seems like there is little to no sanitary practices used or standards upheld. Extremely disappointed in their facility, their lack of professionalism & care for clients and their pets.
Our dog spends a couple of days per week at Pawsitively Playful in Newberg. We love the staff and owner and they seem to really love our dog. Richard keeps high quality dog food and pet accessories in the shop too which saves us a drive sometimes. I highly recommend this doggie daycare and boarding. Enjoy holiday pet photos and participation in Newberg’s Old Fashioned Festival parade!
Very friendly an positive wonderful peaple an correlated to doggie owner's.we adopted a wonderful little mix breed thats taken a shine to us very quickly an gets along great with our cat an 5 month old dachshund an absolutely loves his new yard.we highly recommend these ladys for a adoption and doggie day care they do a wonderful job. Thanks so very much Pawsitively Playful.Great experience definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt or have your doggie watched for the day.***** A++++++
We were looking to add to our family and found our little girl at Pawsitively Saved Rescue. Meet Ryley, Richard saved her from a bad situation and now she has her forever home with her guy Jake. Please adopt or donate from these wonderful people.
Owner and operator is very friendly and good with dogs. I have my pup enrolled in the class and even though she is a bit of a trouble maker the owner handles her well. Group sessions are small and seem to still cater to the individual need of each dog. They sell additional services and products other than training, and it is nice because it is there if you need it but they never try to push it on you. Would recommend for new dog owners and veterans alike.
They always take such great care of my little Chi "Baby".Richard is kind and very patient with nervous dog mom's. The facility is well organized and clean. My little girl has special needs and they meet them with love. I highly recommend them.
I highly recommend this place for your doggy day care and overnight stay. In lieu of places where dogs are kept separately in crates, Pawsitivity Playful dogs are allowed to play with one another. They do have crates where dogs sleep at night, eat and recharge. Richard who is the owner treats my adult puppies with dignity and respect. Because of the positive atmosphere there, my pups would rather go there than play in the yard. 😁
Our pup Kenickie loves going to doggy daycare here!! Such a great way to burn out some extra energy during the week when we're busy, he always comes home ready to crash for the next couple of hours. All the employees are super awesome and take great care of the dogs. They've also always been super flexible when we need last minute puppy playtime day or boarding. And the prices are the best around!
Love this place!! What a treat for our dogs! The owners Richard and Merissa are absolute treasures. They are so tender and accommodating with all the dogs. Their facility is set up with the dog's needs in mind. That's not all folks! There is a professional groomer on site too, Pampered Pooch Grooming. The groomer Nicole is a miracle worker!! You won't be disappointed.
We had a good experience taking our dogs in to be groomed. Until the next day when our dogs began to cough and sneeze. After a trip to the vet we discovered they had Kennel Cough which they contracted at the groomers. I understand this is not 100% avoidable with so many dogs. However when we called to let them know, we were not giving an apology or any reassurance that additional sanitation methods would be taken in the future. The grooming was good, but it is not worth it when it comes to the safety and health of our pets.
Rhonda is AMAZING!! Our Addie girl had the best time "camping" with her furry crew. This was the first time we've left her and needless to say we were like new parents dropping their baby off for the first time. Rhonda completely understood and put our minds at ease. I checked in several times throughout Addie's stay and she was quick to let me know how she was doing along with photos. Addie absolutely LOVED all the walks and exercise and was wiped out when she got home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We will for sure be using her again.
After trying multiple boarding/kennel and dog sitting options in Portland, we decided to give Oregon Dog Camping a try. Right off the bat we felt at ease there, and so did our anxious dogs. It’s the perfect fit for our dogs who are high energy and have trouble at traditional boarding centers. The dogs get to spend their days outside in the woods, taking runs or hikes with the family that operates the business (they’re amazing) and lounging on couches in the big barn. It’s the only place we feel 100% comfortable leaving or dogs, whether it be for a quick weekend getaway or a month long stay. Even the drive from SE Portland (45-50 mins) can’t keep us away. Our dogs have been enjoying dog camp for 8 years now and we hope to be visiting for another 8 :) 5 stars all the way!
This place can be called a dog haven. My pup prefers this camp to all other camps. The excitement he shows on the route is so adorable. I even send him to camp just for his own enjoyment because he loves going so much. He sleeps for a couple days after a weekend at camp!
I recently booked with Oregon Dog Camping. The concept is novel but my experience was different from my expectations. I dropped my dog off Monday afternoon and picked him up Thursday evening for a total of $160. The set up is basically a fenced off area with access to a garage/barn. The “campers” are put into the enclosed area together and not separated for the entire duration of the stay (minus breakfast and dinner). I texted the owner on Tuesday looking for an update and wasn’t responded to. Did not receive photos or updates nor are there any cameras to check in on your “camper”. 1 hour before pickup was informed that the owner was not going to be there and to meet someone else. As I picked up my dog and were going to get into the car, two of the owner’s dogs attacked mine. They did not let up even with my dog laying on his back and exposing his belly/yelping. This was very concerning to me as I had to physically break the dogs up and then use my arms/body to keep them from continuing to bite. Thankfully no blood or injuries but this was quite concerning! Contacted the owner and was told that is not typical but it makes me question what happened during the previous three days if that was the chaos I witnessed in 5 minutes.
We have been taking our sweet boy Chancellor to camp at Oregon Dog Camping since 2017. Rhonda and her family are the kindest family and care for the doggies as if they were their own. Chance loves the mile long walks and running the trails with the other dogs. He comes home exhausted! We are so thankful to have such a haven for our boy when we need to head out of town, we even take him camping just for him to see his friends and have fun out in the woods! We recommend Oregon Dog Camping to all of our family and friends who have dogs as it is hands down the best place to take your pup in Oregon!
I highly recommend Oregon Dog Camping. I have brought my 10 month old puppy here several times over the past few months. It has great for his socialization skills and made him more independent. The best part is all exercise he gets running with the other dogs.
I have taken my dog here for the past 5 years. I couldn't imagine taking him anywhere else. Rhonda and her family treat Chance like he's their own pup. He sleeps for 2 days when he comes home from camp! Rhonda is amazing and the doggy camp is huge with plenty of space for the dogs to play :)
Our two dogs absolutely love spending time at Oregon Dog Camping. They love going for runs and playing freely with all the other dogs. They have such a great time and are so exhausted when they finally come home.
My dogs adore going to camp! They start to get excited in the car as we approach. My dogs are always very well cared for and loved while at camp and return home tired and happy.
Rhonda and her family have watched our two big dogs multiple times and it's the only place they have ever stayed where they are not going bananas when I pick them up. They are almost sad that Mom and Dad are here and they have to leave camp. While it may dent our feelings a bit it's exactly what we are looking for as dog parents!
Kathryn has taken care of my cat Gibson on two separate occasions. She has come twice a day to administer medications and feed him. She always sends pictures and videos so I can see he is happy and well cared for. It is wonderful to have someone who I can trust and count on.
Kathryn has taken care of two kitties of mine over the past five years. I travel frequently and it’s wonderful to know that I can leave everything in her hands. She is great about giving meds, special diets, and is genuinely caring and compassionate. The videos she sends always make me smile :)
I have known Kathryn for over 10 years. She took care of my two westies -- and was wonderful with them. She has a passion for pets and was so good with them.
