We feel so blessed that we found Aleks to help with training our new puppy Fergus. Fergus has been going on pack walks since he was 5-6 months old and it has been amazing to see how well socialized he has become. We have also had individual training sessions with Aleks to focus on creating positive habits and good manners. Fergus has come a long way in 6 months. Aleks not only trains the dogs but us humans as well because let's face it - we are really the ones who need the training! Aleks has also done 'dog sitting' in our home while we have been away. Her dog Sunny is a great role model to help other dogs learn how to behave in a loving manner. Our home was immaculate upon our return. We would not hesitate to recommend the services of Awesome Dogs - if we could give them more than 5 stars we would!

Our dog Bella was a rescue who came to us with a lot of behavioral issues on leash so much so we were unsure if she could be off leash. Aleks at Awesome Dog Adventures did an amazing job helping us learn how to work with Bella through 1:1 training. It's amazing how much Bella has improved, so much so that she now goes on two pack walks a week with Aleks and a bunch of dogs. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer and pack walker!

We have a very reactive 3 year old male Lab and Aleks at Awesome Dog Adventures has been incredible. She has been taking our dog for pack hikes, and helping us with training since our dog was 6 months old. I can’t say enough good things about Awesome Dog Adventures! Alex is awesome. She calls my baby Bella “Muffin”. She tells me that my 9 year old great pry acts like a puppy around all of the other days. I am so glad to have found her.

My 17 month old Cavapoo has been going on Awesome Dogs pack walks for a few months and loves it! With Aleks and Lauren, she has gained confidence around other dogs and has improved on her manners. She looks forward to getting out and running with her new friends. I highly recommend Awesome Dogs.

Aleks is great! She took her time to get to know our rescue dog, Bella, who is leash reactive and was not socialized properly. Aleks made sure that we knew what were doing as dog owners so we could continue the training successfully all the time. Now that our training sessions are over, Aleks takes Bella on pack walks and helps correct Bella and remind us of training to keep up on. We have seen HUGE improvements in Bella since working with Aleks, we can now comfortable and confidently take Bella on leash walks and to offleash dog parks!

Theo loves going out with Awesome Dogs! Theo is a young dog and we're a busy family, and it is sometimes difficult to get him out for longer walks. When he goes out with Aleks and Lauren, I know he's getting lots of exercise plus socialization, fun and playtime with other dogs. They've also shared advice for helping him through a behaviour issue using positive reinforcement. Theo always comes home happy (and ready to nap)! More love and time to play is always a good thing, and that's exactly what my dog gets with Awesome Dogs.

Where to start?! Our 2 year old pup has been going on walks with Amy for about 6 months now. Amy has been so professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. If we need a referral for anything dog-related she knows her stuff. Also, our pup had some anxiety issues and they were quickly resolved with these magical trips with Amy. He greets her with a smile all the time. Amy's walks have helped improve his quality of life which is priceless. He is just a happy pup. We are so thankful we found her!

Amy has helped us immensely over the last couple of years, whenever we have not been able to provide daily adventures our border collie ourselves. He absolutely loves her and gets so excited when he hears her name. She has gone above and beyond to make sure he has a great time and make our lives easy. Pacific Dogwood Dog walking is amazing! My pup Winnie has been a part of the pack for four months and I honestly can’t say enough good things about Amy and her staff. Winnie loves going on adventure walks with her new dog friends, and I especially love how tired she is afterwards. The amazing photos that Amy and her awesome staff take on the walks are a testament of just how much fun the dogs are having and also demonstrates how much control she has of the pack, it’s truly incredible. She treats every dog with love and kindness as if they were her own. I am completely worry free about leaving my dog in Amy’s care and highly recommend this service.

Amy and her crew are fantastic. Our puppy is high energy and his pack hikes are really helping us with his energy levels! He loves Amy so much he leaps into her arms when she arrives to get him. We've left him while we are away as well with both Amy & Chantelle and have been so pleased. Our minds are at ease knowing he is happy and safe and having so much fun with all the other dogs.

Any is brilliant. We are so happy to have found her after a very scary incident happened with another dog walker. She approached our situation with great patience and understanding - knowing that our dog Leroy might be scared of the whole pack walk experience. Amy has made Leroy fearless again after having many positive experiences with her. We have been using pacficdogwood for a year now. Amy and her team are wonderful, caring, loving, professional and attentive. Our dog Penny started going out for hikes with Amy at 1 years old it’s been a blessing in her overall training. Our dog is now a well socialized dog with excellent dog manners. Which I think Amy and her team helped make her a well rounded dog. I always receive a text msg when penny is going to be picked up and when she’s coming back home. Also at the end of the day we get photos of her out with her dog friend's having the best time ever. Happy. Happy. Happy. Dogs love it here and we love leaving Koko with Amy and her crew for a day, a week or a month. Koko has such a fun, healthy, learning experience with "the pack" I feel guilty when her time is up and she has to come home. Amy is the best, she is a great communicator and pays attention to details. Daily photos and videos keep us in the loop when we're away. Do yourself and your dog a favour.

Amy is absolutely amazing! She has taken my pup Frankie on many adventures and sends me photos and updates when I'm missing her. She's one of the only people I trust to look after her when I'm gone. As soon as Frankie sees Amy she lights up with overwhelming happiness. I always know she's in good hands. Very, very highly recommended!

Carlos just got home from a weekend at Pawsh. The first couple of times he was nervous he can be a shy dog. We knew he was in good hands as our beloved Presley loved Pawsh. This weekend Carlos went right up to the door and wanted in. We could go away and feel relaxed. Carlos has been sleeping since he got home. All the activity and social time has tired him out. I literally could not pick a better place to bring your dog in the Victoria area. I moved here from Ontario in 2021 and since an introduction they have loved Alina as one of their own. They have taken her last minute through family emergencies and adore her during her weekly daycare other than that. I could not speak more highly of this place. They treat your dog like family.

Lisa and her team of animal caregivers are incredible. A Pawsh Oasis is the only other place our wacky cat, Cheetah, feels safe and happy. It’s truly an oasis for the animals and our family knows he will be cared for like he’s their own. Highly recommend this place and business.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Pawsh for daycare for the last two years and I love it! The hours are very accommodating and my dogs always come home exhausted from a good days play. The staff are very attentive to my dogs needs; my younger pup is shy around people but sure loves the staff there, especially the walk lady 😉 Pawsh has been great for getting her comfortable around new people and dogs. Our older dog doesn’t need to go to daycare anymore but we send him as a treat. We’ll be lifelong customers ❤️ Here’s a photo of Quinn on one of her daily pack walks at Pawsh.

Our dog has been going to Pawsh for over a year now. She loves to be outdoors and they have the perfect setup for that. She’s always excited to go and loves her cuddles at drop off. She comes home tired, but peaceful. All staff care for our girl like she’s their own and I know she’s safe/having fun when she visits for daycare/boarding.

I boarded my cat Charlie with them for 3 weeks and it was a good experience for him and I. Charlie is a large breed cat and, since they accommodate the cats in furnished 'suites' and don't use kennels or cat condos, he had room to move and a comfy window perch to watch the birds from. I received quick replies when I checked in on him during my travels AND they sent me multiple photos each time. I picked up a slightly grumpy (LoL) but well cared for cat who settled back into his home routine extremely quickly. Thanks to the team - I would trust you with Charlie anytime!

My Pup loves Pawsh Oasis! She runs into the building and doesn’t look back. Makes me feel good when I leave her there. It’s so warm and cozy inside and dogs are allowed to roam like home. I know Molly will be well looked after ❤️

After a building fire in our home PawshOasis stepped right up making room for our cat Tuna. We had no where for her to live til we sorted out what to do. Not only did they step up for us but PAWSH is a palace made with love. It’s an Amazing place for your pet to stay while you are out of town etc. Not a worry in the world.

my dog has been going with van Island for awhile now and I cannot say enough good things ! Ali and Chad have been so accommodating and flexible. They are super easy to get in touch with and are extremely reliable. I never worry about Ever and he is SO excited to go with them and comes back tired and mentally fulfilled. He is an extremely high energy dog, so knowing he will go out with them and be able to get rid of all that extra energy in a safe environment is such a relief for me. They do a great job catering to every dogs different needs. I cannot say enough good things about them and would recommend them to anyone who needs an extra hand getting their dogs out!

Words cannot explain how much my pup Alfie loves the Van Island Pups team. From the very beginning, Ali & Chad welcomed Alfie and cared for and loved him immensely. The love that they have for every pup is so clear that it radiates - so much that we cannot leave our place without Alfie looking around to check if it's a Van Island Pups hike day. Van Island Pup has saved my life. Working a full time job while having a puppy, is not an easy task. Chad and Ali have been very accommodating to my schedule. My Reesie LOVES his pack walks. He gets soo excited when its pack walk days. The entire process is always very seamless. It is not easy to find good people to take care of your pup these days, but I am very glad to come across Van Island Pups.

I am so grateful for Van Island Pups! I have a large 2 year old German shepherd who requires so much exercise and stimulation every day. Van Island Pups welcomed him into their pack like he’s one of their own! Ali, Chad, and the Van Island Pups team have been incredible. From prompt, thoughtful and professional communication to the patience with our 1.5 yr collie x, Avalanche, I couldn't recommend them more! Ava isn't the most comfortable with new people, and VIP pack leaders have given her the space to grow her confidence within a couple short months. I couldn't say enough good things about Ali and Chad. I was referred to them by my pup's previous dog walker, and I'm so grateful to have their services. I have trialed a lot of different options from doggy daycare to individual dog walkers, and Van Island Pups has been the safest and most reliable option. I was a bit worried because my rescue pup is very timid/shy, but Ali and Chad were so patient and kind with him. They take him to a safe location for a good hike on days that I'm working, and he's relaxed when I get home. It's so nice to not have to worry about a single thing.

My dog Rufus started regular walks with Van Isle Pups earlier this year, and it’s been fantastic! I've really appreciated their reliability and professionalism. My pup spends his mornings at the window, tail wagging madly, waiting for his new best friends to arrive to whisk him away on the day’s adventure. He obviously has a great time with Ali, Chad, and the rest of the pack, because he always arrives home happy and exhausted.

My puppy Goose has been going hiking with the awesome dog pack with Van Island Pups since January 2021 and he absolutely loves it. When I first dropped him to Chad and Allison, he was only a small puppy and I was so worried to be away from him. But Allison sent me updates through the day and put my mind at ease for which I am so grateful. He comes back exhausted and happy and I know they take good care of him every time he hikes with them. They are professional, reliable, trustworthy, and overall just great people and I absolutely recommend them!

Van Island Pups is amazing! Ali and her team are so professional, great at what they do, and love our dog as if she were their own- our pup is so excited to see the team and the pack that she literally jumps into the van before we’ve got her leash off. Our pup comes home super tired after her day at Van Island Pups and with more skills! We’ve had many dog sitters and walkers and honestly Van Island Pups is the best we’ve ever had. The communication is excellent and they are so accommodating. If you want a dog walker team that’s patient, skilled at training dogs, takes their pack on exciting and stimulating hikes, and has safety as their number one priority then check them out- I highly recommend them.

I love Chad and Ali at Van Island Pups! I have one of the most challenging breeds around and they have figured out what works best for her and truly seem to love her as one of their own, despite her quirky ways😊. She is difficult to tire out but they seem to be able to do it! I work varying shifts and they can always accommodate my little girl even with short notice. Rick and Heather are incredible care givers for my pups! They are salt of the earth, great people who genuinely love caring for dogs! Rick even offered to meet me at the hospital to pick up my dogs when I had to urgently get to a major family emergency. He offered to keep them for as long as I needed too. (Which ended up being 4 days! ). I never had to worry about my dogs. They were so loved while getting to play in their great yard. Every time we start heading up Rick’s driveway, my pups go crazy and can’t wait to get out of the car to greet them!! I’m so grateful to Rick and Heather! Thank you!

Rick and Heather provide the most amazing care for our dog, Louie. Needless to say, we were nervous about leaving him overnight as he was a young puppy when we first starting leaving him at Small Dog Boarding. Louie's experience and ours has been nothing but wonderful! The intake process is thorough and the dogs receive a "trial" run staying for the day. Rick was most helpful in providing tips for Louie's further training, particularly recall. The dogs enjoy acres of fenced property where they can romp leash free; and they sleep in Rick and Heather's home, becoming part of the family. If a dog needs medication or any other special attention, they are happy to provide it. Louie loves his time at Small Dog Boarding. He receives lots of socialization with their dogs; and is safe, happy and healthy. When he goes back, he is nothing but excited to get out of the car and join the crew. Rick and Heather took excellent care of our 2 small dogs for a few nights. Would definitely trust them again! Made everything super easy and it was comforting knowing our dogs would be staying with the best and would be having fun. One of our dogs even tried to go back upon pick up! Our 3 year old mixed Terrier, Snoopy, has stayed with Rick and Heather multiple times and he LOVES it. They provide him with a comfortable home away from home plus the benefit of a huge property to get to be a dog outdoors. When he is there we know he is in safe hands and he comes home tired and happy.

It is such a relief to leave my little dog at Rick and Heather's. He thrives in the home-like environment and around their beautiful property and came back happy. Highly recommend if you have a small dog and don't feel comfortable leaving them at bigger places that mix all size of dogs and treat it more like a commercial operation.

We are so happy that we got referred to Small dog boarding. This was the first time our dog Vexie stayed with anyone outside our home. She doesn't have regular contact with other dogs, so we were understandably nervous about how it would go. There was absolutely nothing to worry about, Rick and Heather have tons of experience and our little dog was well cared for, safe and happy. We were very impressed with how professional Rick and Heather are. From the first visit showing Vexie around, to the detailed form we filled out letting them know exactly what our dog likes and dislikes, we were assured that she would be looked after by people who love dogs and know perfectly well how to make her feel at home away from home. Having peace of mind about how Vexie was doing while we were away made our trip so much more enjoyable; I was particularly grateful for the pictures and updates. We look forward to taking Vexie back with Rick and Heather for our (and Vexie's) next big holiday. Highly recommended!

We were in a bit of a bind, trying to find pet sitting for our dog Riggins while we were away on a family vacation. I came across an ad for Small Dog Boarding and thought I would enquire about their boarding services. Rick was incredibly responsive right away, and walked me through their assessment/intake process (having our dog visit their property with us and then leaving him for a half day to see how he adjusts). We were very impressed with their style of dog boarding (the dogs are allowed in their home and treated like 'one of the family') and also impressed with the property they have for the dogs to spend time in. We left Riggins for 12 days with Rick and Heather and it went better than we could have expected. Rick was fine with us checking in via text fairly often and responding to let us know how things were going. He even sent a few pictures, which was above and beyond. I have never heard of a boarding place that incorporates the dogs into home and family like Small Dog Boarding. Their service is incredible and I would not hesitate to recommend them at all. We hope to start travelling a bit more now and will definitely be calling on Rick and Heather again if we have the need to leave Riggins behind. Thank you for taking such good care of our special little guy!

Rick and Heather took great care of our energetic Jack Russell for 23 days while we traveled overseas. She looked happy and healthy when we fetched her, and I am so happy we found a home away from home for our pup!

I have boarded my small dog here multiple times. He is quite introverted so I was initially worried about him staying with other dogs for multiple days. I shouldn’t have worried! He always has a great time here and Rick is always very patient answering all my questions and concerns before and during the stay. This is my go-to boarding spot and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Thank you, Rick!!

Our poodle has stayed there four times and we are well satisfied with the are and facilities. We have full confidence in Jane's management.

My dog is five years old and had never been boarded. She generally stays with family. She did not love being boarded, but she was safe and well taken care of. There is ample exercise time and doggie playtime is supervised. She was just getting used to it and making friends when we picked her up. We will slowly get her used to it.

Jane is wonderful, generous, kind woman who goes out of her way for her furry clients as well as their pet parents! We will be return customers.

Jane has been our go-to for pet care for years and through 2 dogs. She's experienced, caring, and both of our our dogs have loved her. We make the drive from the Kitsap Peninsula. Her care for our pup is that good!

I got to drop my friend's precious puppy (ok he's a dog) here while she was in the hospital and Jane was so nice and helpful with the care of my friend's dog that it relieved a lot of stress on my friend! When I picked the dog back up he was happy and healthy and well taken care of.

Jane has been taking care of our labs when we travel for the last 15 years. She is wonderful and our dogs have always loved visiting her.

We came from Tacoma and looked up on Google. Called and talked to Jane and felt very comfortable with her. Left Jenny for daycare the next day.. ...she was just fine with her stay. We will go back when we need doggie daycare.

Dale was great. I heard from her twice a day with details of how each cat was doing. I wasn’t sure how well it would go, as I have an extremely timid cat. She was cheerful and flexible. My female cat adjusted quickly to Dales approach, my timid boy also appeared for meals. I think the next time would be fine. I would not hesitate to recommend Leave With Ease

The team at Leave with Ease have been amazing. They take great care walking our two little pups, and have been helping us as new dog owners learn how to manage our little senior adoptees when they want to bark up the neighbourhood. They’ll help with thoughtful touches like filling the water dish or cleaning the dog bowls when they notice it needs it. I would say they go above and beyond, we’re very happy to have found them.

Frank and Dale are good peeps and great at what they do. Their client portal to email you the pertinent details immediately following every visit was a surprise and a pleasant one at that! We definitely won't be using Rover again if Frank/Dale are available!

I was very impressed with the service I received from Leave With Ease. Dale and Frank were professional, kind and added a personal touch in meeting with me to setup dog walking for my dog Soji. They were very accommodating regarding my schedule. I received a photo confirming Soji was walked each time and a note stating how she managed during the walk. Soji was clearly more relaxed as I arrived home the days Dale and Frank came to walk her. This gave me peace of mind that Soji was exercised, given positive attention and was safe. Frank and Dale are wonderful! They took tender loving care of our fur baby while we were away on holiday, taking Lyle on walks twice a day. I am new to Sidney and did not know who to contact to cat sit when going out of town. So glad I came across Leave With Ease! Frank and Dale were great to deal with-very professional and have an obvious love of animals. We met twice beforehand so they could meet the cat, as well as go over details regarding feedings, emergency contacts, hand over keys, etc. While away, they sent a daily text message, including a photo of the cat. I was very happy with Leave With Ease and I would absolutely use them again...and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone to look after their animal or house while out of town. This is an exceptional dog walking experience for my furry friend twice a week. I love knowing he is being so genuinely well cared for and exercised when I can’t take him. The pictures I get from each walk share his adventures with me. I swear he is smiling in many of them. He gets excited when I put his things out for his walks, so I know he is looking forward to his pick ups and play dates. He is much more social now that he has his pack group. Wolf in the Winter has been great for Koda. She is really enjoying the socialization with other dogs. The trainers are really amazing and really care about what they do. They are genuinely interested in the well being of our dog. So professional and caring.

Our dogs love their walks with Curt and Grayce! They crash for the whole night once they get back. They also manage to get smiles out of my nervous dog which is a big feat (she has less than 10 people on her smile list.)

WOLF in WINTER is amazing! Both Curt & Grayce are so good with our boys! Our Border Collie Kruze knows exactly when it’s his days & time to hike! He loves his outings and comes home well run, happy & exhausted! 🤓. Our pup has been going for weekly pack runs with Wolf In Winter over the last 7 months or so. We found the service to be very reliable, professional and friendly. Our pup is always excited to go and very satisfied upon return. Tired dog= happy owner. We liked that they put a cap on the nunber of dogs allowed to run in each pack and felt assured that the dogs let in were vetted and sociable. We have enjoyed the service. Thanks Wolf In Winter.

We spotted Wolf in Winter's vans in our neighbourhood and decided to give them a call, and have been using them for our little bug, Mickey, three times a week, and he absolutely loves every minute of his time with them! Our pup is excited when she sees the WIW van pull up to pick her up and she is happy and sleepy when she return. I love seeing the photos the walkers share after each walk too.

Keri was an outstanding pet sitter both for our now departed cat Luciano and for our new kitties Charlie and Fiona. After our 4-week vacation, Luciano was bonded with Keri and not at all excited to see us again. When we left the two kitties for just a few days, Keri sent us photos and updates every day. And we really liked knowing she has pet first aid!

Keri is AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about her. I am so so picky when letting anyone look after my senior reactive girl and Keri made me feel so comfortable, I didn't even worry once while we were away on holidays. I'm pretty sure Paisley misses her now that we're home. Keri sent us daily updates while we were away and then gave us a thorough rundown email when we got back. The house was also very well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend Keri if you know what's good for you, and your dog!

I'm an experienced Great Pyrenees owner but always had a family member to look after them so finding a pet sitter for the first time, was daunting task. I didn't even know what questions to ask or what to request. Keri spent a couple of hours with me finding out about Buddy, my new rescue bff and explaining what pet sitters do and don't do - I quickly discovered there is NO standard. She has referred two, fantastic pet sitters and they've been amazing. I already have stressful appointments to attend, so not having to worry about Buddy on top of that, takes a huge weight off. I can't recommend Keri enough. She genuinely cares. Her price is fair and the other pet sitters, she surrounds herself with, are as well - she says it's always good to have a few people you can trust to call in case someone is already booked. I must confess I hadn't thought about that so she has trained me too!!! Buddy and I recommend Keri 100% as well as Anne and Tracy.

As a new dog owner, I was hesitant to leave my new pup. He is still learning his manners and chasing loud cars on his walks. Having Keri care for him while I was gone made it possible for me to relax and enjoy my vacation. She was able to adapt to Clarke's needs so that he got lots of exercise and play while staying safe. The daily updates and pictures were awesome, and I knew that Clarke was being so well cared for. Keri is passionate about caring for animals and has been a great support with all my dog related questions. I would not hesitate in recommending Keri for any of your pet sitting needs.

Keri provides an awesome, personal, caring and reliable service. She is very knowledgeable and caring and appreciates knowing all your pets needs. Her communication is clear and transparent and her true love for animals shines through. She is also quick to respond and accommodates whenever possible. I am always relaxed knowing she is at our home with our cat and our dog. The cat and dog have a “ complicated” relationship but that Keri manages it expertly! She is terrific!

Keri is compassionate and detailed oriented. Photos and updates daily help let me know how critters are doing, and if there are any anomalies or questions. Keri makes it easy to focus on what's happening while traveling, without worrying about the pets who can't travel with us.

You will not find anyone better to look after your pet. I have known Keri for over 10 years and she is very devoted to caring for any animal. I would trust her completely.

Julia was fantastic! Great customer service! Needed a pet pee pad but showed up on my scooter. They had what I needed and a brilliant way to attach it to my backpack. Appreciated her genius way to get me home safely.

Incredible place! The staff and owner really make this place special! They are helpful and knowledgeable with pet food, supplements, and accessories. They also have been HUGE in helping us with our aquarium needs. Their staff are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, patient, courteous, and helpful. 10/10 would recommend without any hesitation!

The have the best doggy stuff here, my pup is allergic to most proteins, but they carry kangaroo and cod skins! I go every time I in Sidney. Thanks ladies, your store is all the way awesome!

Great little store with lots to offer. Went in the other day and the owner was very helpful. However, I felt uncomfortable because she was wearing her mask so it didn't cover her nose and was barely covering her mouth. She kept pulling it down to talk.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff! I love going here to buy my cat supplies vs a chain store. A bit more expensive, but much better service, and they ensure to take the time to understand your pet's needs before offering any advice/suggestions (which is super important). Everyone always has a smile on their face!
