Good kennels, properly run. The dogs seem happy to go there, quite different to their visits to the vet. They are handed back in good condition and the staff try to be helpful with odd requests, such as an early drop off. Not knowing what goes on behind the door for security reasons, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Tastes fine so far. Good security and our impression is that the dogs are exercised in the compound satisfactorily.

George my cat was looked after for two weeks .. just want to thank east dean kennels for looking after him. He looked great when we picked him up. Lovely people there .. have used many times and can’t fault them. Thankyou so much.?

Due to conflicted circumstances we had to return a greyhound to theses kennels. The dog was to be housed until the Kent Greyhound Rescue could rehome the dog. Never have I been spoken too with such venom and disgusting tone in all my life. The owner/manager was EXTREMELY rude lady and completely uncaring of the situation . She was very belittling to my son, who was extremely upset and emotional. I wouldn't use this company. I have reported it to the Charity Commission who have will investigate further..

Our young cat was boarded for 4 nights, he seems well looked after and is happy.

We have a difficult dog and they know just how to handle her and love her, and I’ve never known our dog lose her mind so much with excitement every time we drive down their road! To note, we literally now drive 2 hours to East Dean as we’ve moved away, because they really are that incredible!

Just picked up our cats Harrison and Riley from East Dean cattery. They have been brilliant and our flight was cancelled from Crete until the next day when we would not be able to pick the cats up. We called them from Crete and it was no trouble. Harrison and Riley were well looked after

Was hoping to book my dog and 2 cats in for two separate stays this year but will not be using this kennels. On their website it stated that you can visit the kennels to have a look around without having to book. I have now been turned away on two occasions over 2 days. On my first visit I was told to come back the following day between the hours of 11am and 3pm as it’s a quieter time for staff and they would be able to show me around the kennels and cattery. I attended the following day to be turned away again because there was only one member of staff running the entire kennels/cattery and they are too busy. I was told to come back another time or to wait until they had finished their jobs, to be given ‘the quickest visit they’ve ever given’. It also states on their website they have a heated rubber matted play barn for older dogs to use, when I asked about this for my dog to use after mentioning she is a 12yo Labrador who is completely blind and going deaf, I was told they wouldn’t let her use it as it’s for very old sick dogs that need to be isolated from other dogs. Generally a lab’s lifespan is 10-12years, so maybe she has to be practically dying to use their heated barn. I personally think there should be more than one member of staff running a kennel, as both times I’ve visited there has only been one person responsible for all those cats and dogs.

I collected my Dog from East Dean first thing in the AM after a draining 12 hours of international night travel and was greeted by “we’ve just been talking about you” by Amy the owner - This was promptly followed up with what can only be described as a 5 minute reprimand about training my dog to walk on a slip collar, which was then followed by a complaint that my dog was “hard work” as he was "so clean" and only 2 people could take him out to the paddock and my dog would not allow their staff to place his head collar on (which incidentally my 3 year old son can do effortlessly). Noting that the website states that the kennels are equipped with a grass run and makes no mention of dogs needing to be slip collar trained before arrival. No consideration was given to the fact that I choose not to use a slip collar due to the fact my dog is a 9.5 stone drafting dog (i.e. bred to pull) nor my personal feelings against the use of slip collars due to thyroid damage issues in large breeds, larynx, trachea and other issues - and I prefer to use a head collar. And more to the point my dog walks off the lead when not walking with a head collar (which is my preferred collar choice) and is trained to heel on any directed side so a slip collar is totally unnecessary in our normal day to day lives. After listening to Amy's words of wisdom while jet lagged and a little shocked it became patently clear that the issue was likely a shortage of staff (Which I was advised of when dropping my dog off), compounded by a lack of staff training around gaining an animals trust which led to the assertion that my animal was "hard work" as he needed time outside of his kennel to relieve himself and wouldn't let a stranger put his head collar on. While I’m sure the kennels are perfectly adequate and well equipped the owner came across as rude, ignorant and arrogant and that is the reason for the negative review. Some etiquette training wouldn't go amiss. Update in response to East Dean for completeness; - My dog has not previously bitten anyone. - Although my dog did not want to leave me, his previous kennel visit was uneventful once settled. East Dean was merely a closer option this time around. - My dog is very well trained and walks on and off the lead without issue. - No demands were made be it unreasonable or otherwise. - I'm not "the general public" I'm a paying customer.

Our Golden Retriever Reggie attends Emily’s home every week and has just completed a full weeks boarding while we were on holiday. He loves his time these makes so many new play friends and is looked after fabulously. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a loving caring safe play or boarding setting

I have been using nanny MC pets for some time now and I cannot fault the service I get from Emily , she has gone above and beyond for me and my family of animals , Emily has been with me at the worst times too. The care she has given to me and mine is nothing but the very best . I trust her 100% with my Luna , from the first day meeting Emily I knew it was going to be a great match for myself but more importantly Luna , Luna adores Emily and looks forward to seeing Emily every time ,and I know when Luna goes to nanny MC pets she is safe ,happy and well looked after . Another daycare visit for Luna yesterday, 14th sep 2023 Luna is always madly excited to see Emily arrive to collect her , her vocals being heard around the whole area no doubt! Brilliant Service! Obi our Labrador has used various services at Nanny McPets: Walkies (came to our house and took him out for an hour as agreed) Day care - We had to go out for a long day, Obi was collected at 7.30am and returned at 17.00, he had been taken out for two walks, played with his best friends Frank and Apollo and returned suitably tired ... he slept all evening!! Holiday Care: We have also used Nanny McPets to look after Obi whilst we went away on holiday for a week, we had daily updates of Obi’s walks and adventures and details of what he had been up to. Such a peace of mind for our most loved and treasured little boy! He absolutely loves it and always jumps straight in Nanny McPets car.

Nanny McPets have been walking my Rottweiler for the past 10 days while we have been away. They have taken into account all the information I have given them with carful consideration of any medical issues. My dog has returned from his walks both happy and tired. My CKC spaniel recently had three and a half weeks with Barking Mad while I was in Australia. I had no worries about leaving her as I knew from previous visits that the hosts she stayed with would treat her as well as I could wish for. I received regular updates and videos during her stay and could see that she was happy and content. Pauline did a great job of matching her to a couple who are willing to give her all the comforts of home, including allowing her to sleep on their bed! A cut above your normal dog boarding.

I would definitely recommend Pauline and the rest of the gang, we’ve used them numerous times and very pleased my two spinones are very happy to go in their holiday with them and so we can enjoy our holiday knowing they are being well looked after

Great company and highly recommend. Our dog Rodney has the best holiday, it was the first time we’d left him overnight since getting him as a puppy but the text updates and photos put our mind at ease, Rodney had a fab time and came home very relaxed. The owners and hosts clearly really care for animals and look after them as if they were their own! Rodney is already looking forward to his next holiday with Barking Mad and his postcard is now taking pride of place on our fridge :)

I’ve been using Barking Mad for a few years for Frank my Vizsla. He absolutely loves Pauline and his hosts. He’s always excited when they come to pick him up and he happily goes off on his holiday. It has taken us 3 years to feel comfortable with leaving Dexter with someone outside of the family. Having decided we wanted a holiday abroad this year, we took the plunge with Julie and Malcolm and we’re so, so glad we did. After two separate overnight stays before we went away, we knew that Dexter would be in very capable hands and would be very happy. It is clear that Julie and Malcolm love dogs and Dexter was made to feel like one of their own. While we were on holiday, Julie sent us regular texts, photos, videos and reports, which was fantastic as it gave us such peace of mind. We could also see how much Dexter was enjoying his holiday - playing with his new friends, eating delicious treats, having lots of cuddles and relaxing on the garden day bed! We will always use Julie and Malcolm to board Dexter in future, for as long as they will have him, because we can see how much love and care is lavished on him. In return, he also loves Julie, Malcolm and the dogs and, if they are in the park at the same time as us now, he will run from the other side of the field to see them! All in all, we don’t think we could find anywhere better to board Dexter. It is such a relief to know he has somewhere to stay where he is so well looked after and where he is so happy. Thank you to Julie, Malcolm and all the dogs for welcoming Dexter into your home and making him one of the family when he comes to stay!

My dog Oli has been home boarded a few times a year for the last ten years. I have to say Julie had been exceptional in her care for him. We received many photos and reports of his holidays for the two weeks we were away. She really is a very caring and loving person and went the extra mile looking after him. I really would not leave him with any one else just wish she had been doing this a few years ago as we have had some bad experiences in the past . He has come home clean and exhausted from all his lovely walks and playtime with Julie’s dogs can’t thank her enough. I know from now on I won’t worry about him while I’m on holiday he will be having a great time

I had never put Rocco into boarding before and I was quite apprehensive about how he would be. I met Julie in her home with Malcolm and their own dogs, a meet and greet, Julie did it with great care and attention to not overwhelm Rocco. It was agreed then on Rocco's reaction to do a two night trial to see how this would go. This was free of charge. Julie updated me with an emailed report, what's app messages and pictures, fantastic. Rocco had great fun and it was set for him to stay for 12 nights. Would I recommend Julie, 100%, would I use her services again, 100% She sent lovely videos and pictures throughout his stay. He truly had a fab holiday himself. So well looked after and cared for I don't think he wanted to leave.

I’m so happy that my friend recommended Parsley and Pals to us! Julie and Malcolm took such good care of our dog Albie and I could tell they genuinely loved him. On my first visit, it was evident that Julie has put so much hard work, love and care into Parsley and Pals, and she absolutely adores her dogs as does Malcolm. I didn’t hesitate in booking Albie in with them for a holiday and I felt at ease whilst I was away as I knew he was treated like a king. Julie sends regular updates which is lovely. I was so pleased to have found Julie with her Parsley and Pals boarding! We have a 5 year old cocker spaniel Sam, who boarded this week, and he had an amazing time!! Sam was treated liked royalty with healthy snacks, lots of playing, cuddles and space if he needed it. It was really reassuring to know Sam was in safe hands while we had a lovely holiday, and so did he! Julie kept me up to date with his activities and sent photos and videos, which were lovely to see. We are definately booking again next year! 100% recommend this service for your precious doggies. I have one happy, tired boy.

I cannot recommend Parsley and Pals more highly. Julie is truly committed to the dogs in her care giving them a home from home experience. My dog, Winston, had a wonderful time and has a group of new friends in the resident dogs. Julie is meticulous about her daily reports and kept me updated with pictures of Winstons adventures which was very reassuring. I will certainly be booking Winston in for visits and holidays in the future.

Wow! What a great experience we, and our two dogs had with their stay. Photos sent through and a great and thorough report of each day. Walks and lots of cuddles were had. Our dog Spud has gone to stay with Julie a few times and we couldn't be happier! Our baby boy has the best time and is very well looked after. We are so fortunate to have discovered Julie and Malcolm, such lovely genuine people who literally care for our dog Stanley as if he is their own dog. Stanley is so comfortable in their company and he has also made some new dog pals with the resident dogs. Highly knowledgeable and professional in how they look after Stanley and it is great for us knowing we can leave Stanley in their care fully confident that he will have a great time. We particularly love the updates ( emails and videos ) that Julie sends which gives us a great insight into what Stanley is doing and he has grown in confidence whilst with Julie and Malcolm. We would highly recommend Julie and Malcolm.

Annette has been regularly caring for Dustee since he was 9 months old, he is now 7. He is a furry black cat who has attitude & is not very friendly, but he adores Annette, as he knows she gives him a lot of fuss & attention. We are lucky to have Annette to care for Dustee while we are away on our many short breaks. She always makes sure we don't come home to any accidents & will kindly put the bin out if we need her to.

I can’t recommend Paws-4-fun more highly! Annette’s service is outstanding. We have used her services several times to look after our cats when we’ve been away on holiday. She keeps us informed of how the cats have been and has also administered first aid when needed. When we come home from holiday she leaves a little report for each day too. More recently, one of our cats had its leg amputated and she popped in during the day to keep an eye on him. Professional, caring and trustworthy. Thank you Annette.

Can not recommended Annette highly enough! We have been using her services since 2017 and she can always be relied upon, even when called at the last minute (like when I went into labour!) She came out to meet us and put us at ease before our first time using her services and every time we go away, she leaves us detailed notes about how the cats have been and what she has done. Annette will message to reassure us that everything is well and is happy for us to contact her too. There have been a few occasions when something hasn't been quite right at the house (e.g. when our key safe looked like it had been tampered with) and she quickly contacted me and let us know the issue and what she is going to do about it. When one of our cats was not well, she was more than happy to administer medicines and take him to the vet if required. Annette goes above and beyond every time! She has been brought more 'presents' than we ever get and yet we never see ANY evidence when we get home, even after being brought a full size wood pigeon! We are very grateful for all she does for us!

I highly recommend Beaux Aires boarding kennels to everyone who’s looking for somewhere for their pet to go to while in holiday. Our Cockapoo dog Rover Martin loved it there! He was so happy and well treated which put my mind at ease while on holiday. From the moment I made the call to the moment we step foot in there everyone was so friendly and extremely helpful! They got a good team going there... I would personally like to thank Molly, Belinda, Craig & his mother who runs the place. They’re all so really genuinely caring and nice people. Left our 5 month old puppy for a night as a try out and she had such a brilliant time. Beaux Aires really looked after her like she was their own. Super happy and wouldn't go anywhere else. Update she is nearly two and adores it here. Their care is wonderful.

To put it simply. This was the first time we ever needed to board our dogs so I was nervous. I have never left my girls for too long and if we ever needed someone to take care of them there were friends and family at the ready. We got to pop down for a visit with our girls to view the space. At first our girls were nervous from hearing other dogs in the area but then they saw the field and they were happy as Larry. They investigated the kennel space and were very curious all good signs. When it came to dropping them off it was swift and painless. I on one hand was offended that my dogs didn't kick up a stink about being taken away from us. But at the same time because everything was done calmly the girls knew from our normal behaviour that there was nothing to worry about. When it came to collection. Well they were happy to see us but not at all desperate to go home. I actually would have liked them to act like they missed me more. Overall it was a very professional and pleasant experience in which I will confidently be able to leave our girls here again.

Such a great Kennel, all the staff love the dogs and they are do friendly. We have an XL Bully (Mas) and a Pug (Sid) they are always excited to go there.

Our golden retriever has been going here for 8 years, his predecessor before him. Digby loves this place as do we - the staff are amazing and he can’t get in quickly enough, always in excellent shape when we collect him. Thank you to the whole team, you do a wonderful job.

First time in kennels for our two hounds, one a bit nervy the other young and boisterous and was quite apprehensive about their week’s stay. Shouldn’t have worried for a second! The staff have seen everything and are immensely capable and kind to their canine guests. There’s a HUGE field where the dogs get to roam five times a day - they are not all let loose together so don’t worry about reactivity. We took in our own dog food to avoid upset tummies but you MUST weigh and bag up each meal you supply (dry food). If you despair about going away and have trouble or anxiety about your dog being looked after please consider Beaux Aires - I was the WORST worrier but now I’m not!

The staff here are absolutely brilliant they love and look after your pet as if it were their own. They have lovely big fields for dogs to exercise and run in. I kept in touch through out my holiday by Mandy the owner My dog was happy there. So much so that he was reluctant to get into the car when we collected him. This place is wonderful I would highly recommend it.

I honestly recommend The Dog Lodge as excellent. After having a bad experience with another local kennels we were a bit dubious about leaving our 2 dogs anywhere again. We went to have a look around and were very impressed with what we saw and the staff are really lovely. Mila and Nelly went in on Friday and we picked them up Sunday, they were happy dogs and their coats looked and smelt amazing. Very happy and will certainly use the kennels again.

Leo our cocker spaniel has stayed at the dog lodge a few times since being open and he loved it! There are big pens for the pups to have big runs and the staff are super friendly and make everything very easy. The space is clean and the kennels are cool and spacious. Like many dog owners, our fur baby means the world to us and seeing him in a safe, secure and loving environment when you are away really gives you a peace of mind. Thank you dog lodge for being so reliable and loving Leo as much as we do! 💕

Didn't turn me away when I explained that one of my dogs (husky x gsd) has issues with anxiety and fear of new people. Were accommodating and understanding of her issues. The place has a very lovely setting and everything your dog needs. Even though i was super anxious about leaving my dogs I felt reassured and confident in the staff. Both my dogs were looked after well and I wouldn't hesitate to use again. Thank you.

First time we have ever put our dogs into kennels and I couldn’t be happier about our choice with The Dog Lodge! Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The facilities are great with huge open areas for dog walking, huge kennels with privacy rooms ant the back of them for the dog to hide if they wish and our dogs were very happy when we saw them out on their walk! Easy to book with, you just know they are in safe hands, and amazingly competitive prices for them to tailor your dogs care x thank you so much xx

We used foxgloves dog boarding for our two pooches Peggy and Doris. Amelia was great right from the first contact, very responsive, informative and approachable. She arranged a visit prior to there stay too make sure we were happy with everything and for her to meet the dogs. The dogs instantly felt at home and Amelia would update us on a daily basis with photos etc. We would definitely recommend foxgloves and have our next stays booked already. Thanks 🙏🏻

I can’t recommend Foxgloves enough. My pup pulls like a train to get there and looks genuinely disappointed when he has to leave. It’s testament to just how amazing Amelia is. I know she loves my puppy just as much as I do. And it shows. It’s the greatest compliment I can give her that my pup doesn’t want to come home. Professional. Caring. Loving. Knowledgable. Couldn’t ask for more.

We highly recommend Foxgloves, Amelia is great with Baxter he loves going there & hanging out with buddies. She bakes them all biscuits, shows plenty of love but also control too. Amelia is flexible with times & dates which is ideal for us & we can’t speak highly enough of her.

Our pup absolutely LOVES his days (and nights) at Foxgloves. It’s like a second home. He can’t wait to get there and comes home exhausted after days filled with doggy playing, puzzles and cuddles. Can’t recommend more highly.

I am so happy to have found Amelia - professional yet has built such a strong bond with our very particular pup, he loves going there, I feel guilty when he comes home as I realise how much more interaction he gets then when he is home !
