Sofia and Nicole were excellent sitters to our 2 playful cats (an adult tabby and a BIG Maine coon kitten). They gave us a couple updates daily with pictures, as we requested. They were easy to communicate with before and throughout the entire sit. When we came home, our apartment was tidy (probably neater than we left it!) and our cats were relaxed and happy. They were also kind enough to leave us with some sweet bandanas for our boys. We were super pleased with the quality of care, and would happily recommend Sofia and Nicole to anyone in need of a pet or house sitter!
Great pet sitter - took perfect care of our cat and our home. They were super communicate leading up to and during the sit and left our apartment in great shape. I'd absolutely recommend them to any future sitters!
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
After seeing the numerous positive reviews, I knew Cung would be an easygoing and professional cat sitter and house guest, and he was :-) Easy communication, prompt updates and clear concern for Boz & Artie's wellbeing, and pictures of cozying up on the couch together all made our time away secure and stress free. Upon returning home, the cats were chill and the apt was left spotless, as though he hadn't even been there.
Joi did a wonderful job caring for my two cats and two guinea pigs, as well as caring for my home! She is coming back in November for a long sit while I am out of the country and we all can’t wait. Joi had experience with rabbits and jumped right in with guinea pig care. She is so calm around them that they were sitting on her lap day one! She spent time preparing their vegetables and kept their enclosure and room clean, which requires daily effort. She even washed the floor mats in their room so it was fresh when I returned home. She went above and beyond sending me daily photos and videos so I could see that everyone was healthy and happy. It was apparent to me that she spent a lot of time with my pets, which is very important so they don’t become stressed and lonely when I am away. Joi also took excellent care of my two cats. They receive daily wet food with some medication and she ensured that they received it on time. My cats barely noticed when I returned because they got so much attention from Joi. She took excellent care of my front garden flowers and my tomato and herb hydroponic gardens. These take some daily attention and time in the summer, and I returned home to them looking great! Joi is a very caring, clean, and thoughtful sitter and I hope she comes back many more times!
Kimberly was a wonderful sitter who watched our two cats for us while we were out. She was willing to come a day early to help acclimate herself with the animals, and this was exceedingly helpful in making sure the cats would be comfortable with her during our absence. I would highly recommend Kimberly if you're looking for a responsible, caring sitter.
Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. She even pulled a large broken tree branch off my roof following a windstorm. I hope Heidi is available for my next trip because she is awesome. Jim
I whole-heartedly recommend Carly and her partner Fanny to sit for you! They were fabulous and reliable house sitters from start to finish. Carly was timely and thoughtful in all of her communications and let us know the state of affairs in our apartment with our cat and plant babies while we were away. They followed our directions to a 'T.' We came home to find a happy cat, thriving plants, a spotless apartment and laundered linens. We would definitely consider contacting them again to house sit for us!

Trelawn is a welcoming, secure and trustworthy place to leave your dog. I've left two of mine at different times and I couldn't recommend anywhere else, I know they look after my dog and have the grounds to let them exercise. I can only imagine that my dog is happy and running free but also cared for. Thank you for everything you do ❤️🙏 My last stay was 6-9 of September.
Sally & her staff took great care of my nervous rescue Labrador. Willow particularly bonded with George the dog whisperer! I noticed after one week at Trelawn boarding kennels that Willow was more relaxed, very bouncy & playful. I think being with new people & socializing with doggy friends has done wonders for her confidence. Trelawn is a great family run kennels, the owners are always kind, accommodating & helpful.
I can’t recommend Trelawn kennels enough. They are the first and only kennels we have ever used for our Rottweiler and he absolutely loves it there! They were super helpful in ensuring he settled in, great communication and you can tell how much they love the dogs they look after. Such a lovey little team and family. 100% recommend using their services.
My pampered Lurcher Whippet is always so happy to visit Trelawn for day care or the occasional overnight stay. Sally was so accommodating when I unexpectedly had to stay in hospital for a couple of weeks. Knowing my boy was being well looked after was such a relief. Highly recommend
Been using Trelawn for 4 years now and my retriever is always so excited when she gets there. She loves the team and although I’ve never been there for any length of time, her happiness to get to see George is enough for me to be confident in this kennel.
We have been very happy to leave our 2 girls with Sally & George at Trelawn, a very well run facility and well organised. It is a pleasure to deal with you both, and thank you for taking care of the two girls..We will be seeing you again very soon. I would not hesitate in recommending your services. And Thankful for finding you.
I have always had dogs, that means 54 years of experience with dogs and, therefore, with kennels. You will see from my other reviews on here, on Trustpilot & Tripadvisor that I pull no punches! I am now writing this review early (my four dogs are still at Trelawn) because I was checking Google reviews just now and I saw Sally & George, in amongst the 5 star reviews, had been given a one star. I am incensed that someone who appears not to have boarded dogs at Trelawn should provide a review! From my perspective, if you haven’t used a service, you have no right to review. I cannot even tell if the person who gave the review has even visited the kennels! That one star review appears to be about dogs barking????? Dogs bark, end of! They bark at each other to communicate - they bark at unexpected noises or movements - that is their nature. I live very near a boarding kennel (not Trelawn) and I hear the dogs barking, my son lives near a kennel (not Trelawn) he hears dogs barking. If barking is so bothersome, people can get noise cancelling earplugs or headphones. But now to an actual, real, honest review by me - and my four dogs stay at Trelawn for periods from 4 days to a month, and at least six times a year. Indeed, I now get their food delivered to Trelawn. Trelawn is an excellent kennel, run by accommodating, helpful, competent, compassionate and professional people. My four dogs love going to stay. They are very well cared for, properly fed and appropriately exercised. In addition, Sally, George and their assistant have gone out of their way to socialise two dogs that were reactive because of past traumas. I rely on Sally and George and their extreme flexibility to help me manage some of the challenges life throws my way, eg when I went away for two weeks, caught Covid, and couldn’t travel home for five weeks. Through texting Sally took care of everything, even cancelling a fortnight close down of the kennels to look after my dogs. So - please look at the reviews by dog owners - not those who make judgements that are not based on facts. I’m including in this review photos of George and Sally with some of my dogs - the photos and video speak volumes! The video is posted separately because of how Google Reviews is set up on my phone.
Bolly and Mac loved their stay or should we say holiday at Trelawn. Highly recommend to anyone in North Devon looking to put their dogs in kennels. Will be using Trelawn again.
I can’t say enough about how good this facility is. We have a 3 year old shih tzu who can be very anxious however he’s now stayed at Trelawn multiple times and has been great to collect thanks to Sally and George. Would definitely recommend
Would definitely recommend it. Our timid, elderly, deaf dog has never been in a kennels before, but he just had 2 days away and obviously felt very happy with Sally. He came home tired, but relaxed. We will use these kennels again for sure! Thanks to Sally and all the team.
First time I'd left my fur babies, Percy , Pepper and Binky (piggies and bunny) so I was an anxious mother leaving them but they loved their stay at 2by2! They had a lovely big hutch, lots of veggies and treated like Kings. Will definitely be boarding with them again..5* Hotel!
Utterly disgusted. My 2 rescue guinea pigs stayed here for 10 nights. On collecting them, I found my pet carrier outside in a grass run on the pouring rain and inside was my 2 piggies! They were huddling together to keep warm in a load of dirty water. I just couldn't believe it. It had been pouring with rain all day! I was very upset. Animal lovers??? I think not! Give them a very wide berth.... please. My piggies were soaking wet through to the skin. I pray they don't get ill ! I wouldn't even give them 1 star rating, but couldn't write a review without one. Utter and complete neglect!!
Kept our 2 bunnies here a few weeks ago while we went on holiday, they seemed happy in the penthouse when collected. A reasonably priced boarding place we will use again. Thanks
Daisy loves her visits to Ellie at The Doggy Retreat she was initially nervous but Ellie really helped her to settle quickly and sent reassuring updates. Daisy loves going to see her. She has stayed for a week whilst we were on holiday and …
I have used Ellie several times for doggy daycare and have been delighted with the service received. Bertie, our 6-month old mini schnauzer has been treated like one of the family and loves going. Ellie is very responsive to messages and requests as well as being super reliable. I have no hesitation in recommending The Doggy Retreat.
I have moved to Newcastle upon Tyne and have not used a dog sitter up here in two years . That’s how particular I am for finding dog sitter I’m happy to leave Grace my …
