Took two of my dogs for a proper haircut today, look at the difference in these before and after pictures. I barely recognised them both after a professional team had done such a good job. I'll certainly be back next Spring to get them ready for summer.

My Bonnie spent 2 weeks at these kennels last summer. She has been in few ones and this one was our fav one. She was soooo well looked afterand the grooming services were fantastic! They sent me vids and pictures for peace of mind. I do recommend them highly.

My two dogs are my world and after a bad experience at another boarding kennel I left my two there after two weeks I went to pick them up and straight away I could tell they had been looked after they didn't want to leave lol little sods but honestly they were well fed and exercised the staff even sent videos of them out walking just to put my mind at rest while I was abroad I came back to two very happy well looked after dogs and both had been bathed and nails clipped which is extra of course but well worth it thanks to all staff at leatham cottage I have recommended you to my friends and told them how good you are

Fantastic small, family run business where our dogs are made to feel at home. Am able to go away knowing they're in very capable hands. Fantastic paddock for them to run around in and 3 walks a day. Can't recommend it highly enough.

My dog is very nervous and not used to being away from us so I am always anxious leaving him . He had a good time and the added reassurance of seeing him on Facebook that evening helped me to feel more relaxed. Thank you Irene Marwood

Absolutely Brilliant, my dog is blind, old and diabetic but he's safe as houses in their capable hands and I never worry about him.

Put our dogs in for the day as we didn't want to leave them in the car whilst visiting York. Friendly staff and the dogs were well looked after.

I am extremely pleased with the service that Nigel and Emma offer. We have a lively young terrier and a nervous senior cat. At the preliminary visit, we were very impressed by N and E's professionalism and understanding of the needs of both pets. We have used their service many times since and have found them to be both flexible and reliable. I am very confident leaving both pets in their care. and caring am confident leaving both in their care.

Nigel and Emma are very reliable and ensure my dog Xena has a great walk. Xena is always very excited to see them which only reaffirms that she has a great bond with them. They are also very trustworthy and lovely people to deal with. They will always try and accommodate for last minute requests too which really helps us out. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

Nigel and Emma have been walking our dogs for many years since they took over Petpals York. They have also looked after our cats when we’ve been away. They have always been professional and utterly trustworthy. They have been flexible to accommodate ‘doggie quirks’ and adjusted their routine for exercise when any of the dogs has been unwell or injured. They are highly recommended.

Nigel and Emma have always been wonderful with our Cat, Remus. We use Petpals to look after our cat when we are away from home. They are great with him, reliable, flexible, great value and trustworthy. They also send us pictures of how Remus is getting on via Whatsapp which we love! Far less stressful for the cat than a cattery, and great value.

Although I’ve not needed to use their services during the pandemic, it has been lovely seeing the happy posts from Petpals as they’ve continued to provide support for some very content looking cats and dogs. Having used Petpals many times in the past for my cats, I will certainly be calling them again as soon as I can travel again. I’m a bit disorganised, but Nigel and Emma have always responded straight away and helped me out with my last minute bookings. Thanks to you both, and stay safe.

Petpals York have been walking our 8 year old Boxer since he was a young lad! They are very compassionate and professional and our family highly recommend them. Our doggie was poorly a couple of years ago and Nigel and Emma were very supportive and adjusted to our needs at that time. We can't thank them enough for loving our dog as much as we do.

We have used Nigel and Emma for the last three years, whenever we have gone away for more than a night or two, to look after our cat. They are professional, attentive, caring, and always keep us updated throughout. We have never had any issues, and will continue to use them as long as we need a cat-sitter. Would highly recommend their service!

Petpals is fantastic! Our cats got very stressed when we used to take them to a cattery. Now it's "business as usual" for the cats and we can go away knowing they are being very well looked after. It's extremely easy too - all we do is send and email and pay! We can't recommend Petpals enough.

Claire homed our dog over the summer for 10 days. In short, Claire and her family are amazing! I am not sure what we do without her. She is kind, professional, caring and a great communicator. She sent us pictures and videos of our beloved Nala whilst we were away. This was so reassuring in that we knew Nala was having a wonderful time, walking off lead with other furry friends and with lots of love and attention. We would recommend Claire to anyone considering home boarding their dog. We will definitely be booking her again!

Claire has walked my dogs and house-boarded them. They really love her and her family. Last time I dropped my standard poodle off he ran inside to greet everyone and never looked back! I highly recommend Claire.

Claire showed common sense & related well to the dogs. Didn't want to walk them on pavements on a hot day & we agreed to them having supervised time in the garden, she even brought her own spray mat for them to play on.

Our dogs love staying at Moss End Farm for their holidays. They get lots of walks/playtime. Scarlett went above and beyond when one of our boys became poorly ( no fault of the kennels) taking him to our vet and keeping us updated and sending us videos to show us he was ok , Moss End definitely have our trust 😊

Good kennel, the staff genuinely like dogs and are interested in their canine guests.After 10 days there my Marli( German shepherd/ husky cross) came back happy and neither seemed starved for affection nor exercise like she was after a visit in another kennel. Very happy to have found a place that cares for my companion when I have to leave her behind. Definitely recommend this place

If you love your dog as much as we do and worry about leaving them, then this is the Kennels to use 1st class in every way. Caring, loving, reassuring, and go above and beyond. Barney had the time of his life. An anxious Weimaraner that couldn't have had a better time whilst we were away. We were able to ask for updates and videos to see how he was doing. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly and clearly caring individuals that had the dogs' best interests as a priority. If I could give 6* I would. Thank you again and making it all possible 🙏 😊 ❤️

Excellent daycare provided for our pet Labrador. We are on holiday in the area and were looking for somewhere for our dog to be looked after whilst we visited museums Etc in York. We took our dog along to Moss End on Saturday for a look around and they were able to accommodate him for day care on Monday and Tuesday. The staff we met were all great with the animals and our dog was comfortable with them all and more than happy to go back. The kennels and exercise yards are a good size and there’s a big field for them to run off lead. The dogs are walked 4 times a day and the staff are happy to accommodate individual needs and preferences. Really pleased we found them. Thank you!

We can’t recommend Moss End highly enough! We have a nervous, epileptic rescue dog who isn’t friendly with other dogs but Moss End is amazing with her! She gets her own separate walkies and is now firm friends with all the women who work there - we can get videos or pics when we really miss her, and it’s clear from those how happy and comfortable she is. Definitely a great place if you have a dog with more specialist needs!

Oliver, our black lab, has stayed at Moss End since he was 6 months old. He is now 11 years old. I have always felt very confident leaving him there. He has always enjoyed himself and loves having a bath before he leaves. I would certainly recommend Moss End Farm to anyone looking for a safe, secure and happy place to leave their dogs. They will have some fun!

Our 8 year old Border terrier has been coming to Moss end farm since she was a puppy. She appears to love it here. She's always so excited when we arrive and one of the girls comes to meet her, and best of all she's exhausted when she gets home from all the exercise! Would highly recommend for both day care and longer stays.

My Hamster Gus Gus was regularly handled and such well cared for will definitely use Charlotte again whenever we go away! We were consistently updated with pictures, so happy with her services!

Charlotte is amazing at looking after our little piggies, we've never had to worry about them whilst they've been in her care. We've used Charlotte's services a few times now and can't fault her. We love getting regular updates and pictures of our piggies and will continue to use Pippin Pet Boarding for the foreseeable future.

Our rabbit, Puddles, has stayed with Charlotte three times. She is always very well cared for and we receive regular updates. We are always very happy with Pippin holidays. Charlotte clearly loves animals.

My bunnies Nibbles and Isabelle have stayed at Pippin many times, most recently in the new luxury lodge which is a whole summer house and garden for them to roam freely. But it is the care and love that they receive from Charlotte who apart from being highly experienced in small pet care obviously adores animals which makes it more than just a business. I wouldn’t send my beloved rabbits anywhere else. Prices are more than fair for the level of service and you will get regular lovely photos and updates. Highly recommended in every way.

I would highly recommend Pippin Pet Boarding. Charlotte has been looking after our hamsters for the past few years now and we have always received an excellent service. Charlotte is really friendly and from the first visit we knew our hamster would be in safe hands. Charlotte always sends us photo updates throughout their stay so we can see how they are getting on which is great!

My two little Russian Dwarf hamsters, Pudding and Crumpet, have just spent 10 days with Charlotte at Pippin Pet Boarding and they had an absolutely amazing time ! They were looked after with the utmost care and attention . I received regular updates and some really cute pictures of my two girls which was sooo nice and comforting as I missed them a lot ! Charlotte was very friendly and professional , and was sooo considerate and flexible when arranging drop off and pick up times ! Charlotte looked after my canary "Biscuit" for two weeks and he was very happy and healthy when I returned to collect him. I was given regular updates about him throughout my holiday, including lovely photos of him free-flying around safely. Reasonably priced and reliable! Will definitely use again!!!

Pipping Barding is just first class accommodation for small animals 🥇Charlotte is very dedicated and cares for her charges with 100% dedication my two girlie guineas Wendy & Daphne have been twice for two pretty long stays I have no hesitation at leaving them .The updates while you are away are fabulous we all know small animals can suddenly go downhill it’s something we always discuss but thankfully it’s never happened .Makes going away on holiday so much easier !

Montie is a rescue dog. Very anxious dog when we introduced him to the kennels at 18 months old. He would scale the wall between the the dogs cages at first and made several attempts to escape. Really anxious and unsettled. He destroyed beds, blankets etc a real nightmare. Andrea was kind, patient and very caring. She understood him. She persevered for months with him. Now at 6 years old he goes to the kennels a much happier dog. He greets Andrea and Hannah with his tail wagging and goes off to his kennel without any fuss. He has settled really well and we cannot thank Andrea and her staff enough. Thank you all so much.

Great service from Andrea, who kept me up to date with regular text messages about how my dog was getting on and settling in during his brief stay. Very clean kennels, my pup returned smelling fresh even after going in and out and playing with Andrea and another pup outside in the wet. Recommended, will return again!

Lovely kennels, so helpful and caring. I have just collected my 8 month old Sprocker who as a puppy spaniel is hyper active, she was well looked after and on collection as full of energy as usual. We were a little nervous of leaving such a young dog as we had booked our break pre puppy arrival, but Lottie has come home in fine condition and Andrea and her team have taken excellent care of her. Thank you ladies.

Always look after our dog well never any problems happy and thoughtful staff. Andrea and the girls are always profesional and kind they are fairly local and we have used them many times and their buisness has got even better over the years we have booked our dog in for three weeks later in the year and we trust them to care for our dog who is always well and happy when we pick him up each time. Easy to find good web site etc good parking and access with good facilaties for the dogs.

Placed our 17 month old spaniel in for a two day stay to see how she coped. All went well the staff and kennels top notch and spaniel enjoyed her stay.
