Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Anna was an excellent sitter - she took great care to understand all of the intricacies of taking care of the house and cats, asked lots of questions, and arrived on time and ready for the sit. During the trip, she checked in with updates, and upon returning home, left the space tidy and clean. The cats were happy and healthy, and seemed to have had a great time during the sit. Thanks Anna!
Sabre is a sweet, honest person who stepped up at the very last moment (after the prior sitter flaked out) to watch our dog and cat for 17 days. When there were a couple minor accidents, she informed us of them right away. One involved a burnt pan (easy to do if you’re not familiar with an induction stovetop) which she offered to replace. Sabre also washed the towels and sheets, and made up the bed before we got home. The yard was pooper scooped and litter box was clean. Pets seemed well-cared for. When she had to leave town for several hours one day, she made sure to arrange for our neighbor take care of the pets. Additionally, I appreciated how she didn’t assume that it would be ok to bring her cat. When we found out she was going to keep her cat in a kennel during her stay here, we told her she could bring him which worked out fine. Overall, I would confidently recommend Sabre to watch your pets and house.
Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Jenny was an absolute delight, lovely to speak to and patient with last minute changes. I have had bad experiences with trusting people with my cats before so was really anxious as Jenny is the first house sitter I have used from zeewoi. But, I felt at ease as soon as I spoke to her, she has a lovely manner and she came round the day before the sit to male sure she had every detail right. But I think the thing that helped the most was her regular updates about my cats. I could see from the videos she sent they were given lots of love and attention. My cats don't usually play with people but my little girl seemed to love her! My flat was immaculate when I got back as well, I am so grateful to Jenny for all her help and really hope to have her sit for me again!
If Cung ever applies to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the offer. You will not be disappointed. Cung is among the top (if not the top) sitter I’ve ever had and I’ve been on this site for years. Primarily, Cung is very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Cung kept me abreast of his plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk him through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Cung really cares. When he got to my apartment after what I assume was a long day of traveling, I explained the care instructions and he was very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Cung followed those exactly. Third, Cung makes you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out within an hour of me being away - very fast for my cat as he is shy. Cung must have a calming energy towards animals. Cung was also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 5 minutes. I really appreciated that. My cat threw up at one point and Cung answered all of my questions to assess whether my cat was sick or had just eaten too fast. Fourth, Cung will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The sheets were washed and folded on my bed. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Cung also respects your property. I have an extensive computer setup that he used for work and he was very respectful of that equipment. He asked if he could use it beforehand, which was incredibly polite since he could have used it and I wouldn’t have known. In sum. You need to jump at the opportunity if Cung offers to sit for you. I came home to a very happy cat. Hope he will sit for me again sometime!
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!
Caroline was a fabulous sitter and looked after our cat and the house beautifully. She is sensible and very self-sufficient but also kept us informed. We came home to a happy cat and a tidy house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others and hope she will sit for us again in the future!
Steven was a great sitter for our black lab Souris and cat Pinot. They were well looked after and really liked Steven. Our house was in good order when we got back and Steven was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the airport. He was very flexible, arriving day early so we could show him around.
Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!
We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?

Our pup loves Ed and hanging with the CTD crew during the day. We were referred to Ed by our friends and have been very happy with the referral. He has a great play area for the dogs and provides plenty of care and oversight during the day. This is a great place to send your dog to play and burn off that extra energy.
There is simply no other place like Charlotte the Dog! Pick up and drop offs, space to run and play, small group, individual attention from a former vet tech are a few of the reasons we chose them. Ed truly loves and cares for each and every dog like his own. He makes sure each dog is a good fit for the whole “crew.” My puppy is an anxious doodle and within days of starting her at CTD I could see a change in her confidence and socialization habits. Ed goes above and beyond the usual doggie daycare. I love sending my girl off knowing she is going to have a great time, get plenty of exercise, be well taken care of, and get to be herself!
Ed and his service is amazing. I have used Ed's doggie day care and boarding services for five years. My dog Lincoln and I just love Ed. Lincoln has fun every day he is there. He gets his the activity and socialization he needs to be a well behaved dog. Ed makes the doggy day care an easy process with pick up and drop offs. It is obvious when seeing Ed with the dogs loves and cares each one like they were his own. Charlotte the Dog pet service as been invaluable to me. I never have to worry that Lincoln is being well taken care and having fun with his dog friends. Ed has been very accommodating when need be. He is wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about him and his service. I highly recommend Charlotte the Dog and would tell anyone to use Ed if they want their dog to be well taken care.
We have been using Charlotte the Dog for about six months now and couldn't be happier with our experience. Ed is professional, highly knowledgeable in animal health/behavior, and our dog absolutely adores him. There is no comparison to other dog daycares or services like Rover, Charlotte the Dog exceeds them all. Prices are very reasonable, includes pick up/drop off, and your dog will be blissfully exhausted when they come home.
I recently boarded my dog Max for the holiday weekend while I traveled across the country. He has extreme separation anxiety and I had never left him alone for that long. He had an absolute blast! He played with several other dogs that were staying at Ed's house and played at doggie daycare during the week days. He was so tired when he came home and slept the whole next day. So nice that the dogs always have company (both people and dogs!) and are never alone. Ed also sent pictures and videos of Max playing while he was there and sent several updates which I loved. I will definitely be boarding him here again!!
Ed has been taking care of our beagle Hobbes for the past twelve years for day stays and boarding, and we have had a wonderful experience! He has been flexible with pick-up and dropoff times to work with our busy schedules and has been extremely helpful when our dog has had medical emergencies. Hobbes absolutely loves going to day stay, and we highly recommend Ed and Charlotte the Dog to all pet owners in the area!
We have appreciated the care for our cats by Charlotte the Dog for many years. To have someone responsible for your furry family member, in your home, you have to trust them completely and we do, with Charlotte the Dog. Text updates and fun videos from CtD arrive during our trips from the in-home visits so we could feel relaxed, knowing all was well and see our friend:) While this was not an expectation sometimes the mail carrier left mail / papers and CtD brought them in, even shoveled out a path to the driveway once for us. Very reasonable rates, offering services for dogs, cats and a variety of small animals. Thank you, CtD!!!
Ed has looked after our dog Molly for over two years now, both day stays and overnight boarding. He is very knowledgeable about animal behavior and health issues and his services are top notch. What he provides with daily pick up and drop off, as well as the amount of time our dog can spend with other dogs playing during the day when my wife and I are working is invaluable. I would definitely recommend his services to others.
It’s been great to have Ed and his team take care my two young cats. Sophie and Tom get to stay in their own environment when I'm out of town. And they have daily play and attention. I’d recommend Ed and Charlotte The Dog Pet Services to anyone looking for a cat sitter. Ed is always very responsive and scheduling the service has been a breeze. A+
Don't let the name fool you, Charlotte the Dog is pretty damn great for cats, too! Ed is a very caring and wonderful cat sitter. He takes pictures every time and lets you know you babies are alright. Plus, he's a vet tech - that is HUGE!- so he can handle all sorts of medical problems. For me, that means administering fluids to my cat with renal failure. Very, very happy with this service.
I liked going to them, and actually was in the process of starting transportation with them before my dog got hurt. Now I understand a dog can get hurt at daycare and that’s the risk you sign up for when you send your dog. BUT they did not call to check on my dog once (and this happened almost 2weeks ago) after she got hurt at their establishment. My dog ended up needing stitches from “a puppy getting her ear” which i don’t know how true that is but was giving them the benefit of the doubt. The slice in her ear was bad enough the vet decided to take it off and leave her a little hole (you’ll see in image) because it was the safest option. Again I understand the risks of daycare, what I don’t understand is how someone does not check on an animal after being hurt in their responsibility. This was a very blood incident I should add and they were well aware we had to go to the emergency vet as we called them from there for the other dog’s information. Just puts a bad taste in my mouth. Also there were two separate times I picked my dog up and her prong collar was still on her, after being there for 8+ hours. I tried to be understanding because she does have darker fur and the collar is dark but after the ear incident I will not be returning. I also am attached a photo they posted of her wearing her prong collar out with the other dogs. I am honestly just disappointed and if they had reached out following the incident and showed care and compassion I would have considered going back.
Unfortunately I didn’t realize that it is an asphalt yard for them to play in. The people there seem really nice, but I don’t think it’s the right place for our pup. She tore up the pads on the bottom of her feet and is limping around today. If your dog isn’t used to playing on hard ground, I wouldn’t bring them here. Also, I will say my dog seemed to like the staff and the place itself, I just don’t think it’s the right place for my pup
Been bringing my boys there for 8 years! It's their home away from home. First 5 years - they went 5 days a week while I worked and I worried about nothing! The care everyone gave them was as good as they got at home. 3 years ago we moved to Southern Maine. They still go to Paws when i need to travel or take weekends away.
I am so pleased to see The Paws Club still up and running after so many years. 20+ years ago I worked there with my boss Richelle and The Paws Club was one of the very first ever doggie daycares in the Gretaer Boston area. I drove the bus for pick ups and drop offs and walked dogs inner city mid day. They are kind and sweet and have a calm demeanor under any and all conditions. They engage with the dogs really interact with them and love them like their own. I recall how excited dogs would be to get on the bus to come there. They provide rock solid service every day of the week and are a trusted animal service provider. Highly highly highly recommend to anyone who wants their beloved pet in good hands! 🐾🐾💓 Great Job 👍 Paws Club!! Congrats on many years of ongoing success!
This is the only daycare my dog has actually looked forward to attending! as soon as I get her outta the car to go in, she gets all excited & it’s also the only daycare she’s never come back from with fighting cuts & scabs on her so there’s definitely a very high level of supervision at paws club. The people who work there are truly dog lovers for sure & it eases my mind to know my little girl is in a happy environment while I’m stuck at work.
I just adopted a 4 month old puppy a couple of weeks ago and I needed to find a doggie daycare for her to go to on the days that I work. I found Paws Club while searching online and decided to try them out. I'm so glad I did! This is only my puppy's second week going but she loves it so far! It's in a convenient location, they have great hours, no reservation is needed, and they are reasonably priced. When we arrive in the morning my puppy can hardly wait to get inside! I also love that they post pictures on Facebook each day. Very pleased with Paws Club so far!
My dog, Roxie, has been going to the Paws Club a day or two a week for a year. With our busy lives there isn't always time to give her the walks that she needs. For about the same cost as a dog walker she can spend a whole day playing with her friends. The pictures that the club posts on Facebook let me see that this is money WELL spent. The pictures online show the yard is clean and that the dogs have great access to water when it is hot. I highly recommend them.
We’ve been bringing our two hounds (Beagle and Treeing Walker Coonhound) to Paws Club for daycare and boarding for several months. We are very happy with the care our dogs have received. More importantly, our dogs enjoy going there. They always come back happy and tired (a very good thing – especially with a highly spirited coonhound!). Their most recent visit was overnight boarding for nine nights while we were away on vacation. We had called a few times to check in to see how our dogs were doing and we were promptly called back with an update. This helped put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our time away. Very happy we found Paws Club.
No one could do a better job! They are awesome! Our dogs LOVE going to Paws Club! We have been going there for six years. They even handle complex medication requirements when needed. Can't recommend them highly enough! They are so loving and caring...
Love this place! I had to stop going to my other place because they crate part of the day and with Bailey’s aging hips he can no longer go in a crate I have a 13-year-old German shorthair pointer who doesn’t know he’s 13 and he has so much fun! The staff is amazing!!!! I feel so calm when he is there and he always comes home nice and tired
Pet Pals has provided my pup with awesome play groups to keep her nice and tired out during the day. The van services have been great and I have liked working with each staff member. I highly recommend this business!
Our dog has been going to daycare here for about 3 years, and it is his favorite place to see his human and non-human friends. When we moved out of Woburn, we looked for another daycare closer to our house, but that was silly because obviously no one comes close to being as awesome as Pet Pals, so we happily drive the extra few minutes. If you live within their transportation radius, there's a doggy van for a very reasonable price. They have multiple outdoor play areas (with doggy turf!) separated by fences. There's also an indoor option when the weather is bad. Follow them on Instagram for funny action pictures from the day!
We love PetPals! They come home exhausted and happy every day. Petpals is always flexible with scheduling. It’s also surprisingly affordable vs a dog walker and gets them more tired out.
Awesome space for your dog! They offer great service and are very communicative. My dog loves spending his mornings with Pet Pals!
Love pet pals! Dakota has gone a few times and has so much fun. They are so kind and are very good with the dogs!
They responded after hours to a vacation coverage request when I had to leave town suddenly. Always quick to respond!
Amazing service! You can tell she really loves animals, which is hard to come by and extremely reassuring. The only problem is that the dog is more excited to see her than me!
Courtney is truly an animal lover, so caring and responsible!!!!
Jenn is the absolute best! We found Sparky’s Pet Palace after moving out of the city and could not be happier with their service. Our dog Sox gets to hike and play all day, he comes home absolutely exhausted. She is also incredibly flexible with scheduling which is very rare to come by. I appreciate her so much and Sox is always beyond excited to go to her place. Her dog Sparky is also an angel!! I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I needed last minute long-term boarding for my dog and found Jenn on Facebook. She was able to accommodate me very quickly and I was able to drop my dog off within the hour. The moment I did so, I could notice an immediate (positive) shift in my baby’s behavior. Jenn keeps me updated everyday about his progress, and sends lots of pictures. I am definitely a customer for life now and will recommend Sparky’s to anyone who’s looking for a doggie daycare ❤️
Jenn and her team at Sparky's Pet Palace are the best! They provide such a warm and cozy environment filled with love for pets that our dog truly feels it as his second home. They shower him with love and attention, regularly sending us pictures and videos. The Palace environment is incredible - inside and outside, with plenty of activities for the furry ones to explore and have fun. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Jenn last year, especially since we had a long trip planned where he couldn't join us for the first time. We did a first visit for him to get to know her and the Palace, and it didn't take too long for him to be comfortable there. He enjoys playing and socializing with friends (especially Sparky!), and always returns home the happiest and completely exhausted. They took such a good care of him especially when he needed most, managing medication and special food. The first time they came to pick him up, he jumped right into their car (and he hates car rides!), excited to head back to Sparky's. Jenn is always responsive, flexible, and goes out of her way to accommodate our needs, ensuring our dog has the best experience possible out of his staycation. I highly recommend them!
Jenn is absolutely wonderful!! Our 1 year old Great Dane, Murphy, is still working on manners and gaining confidence in new situations and we got so lucky that Jenn took a chance on her. We did a few daycare sessions to get her used to coming over to Jenn’s and then a few trial overnight sessions before finally going out of town for a trip and it has been amazing to see Murphy’s progress with Jenn’s help. She went from barking and looking for us the first day to being completely comfortable with sleeping over for multiple nights just after a few visits. Jenn also sends plenty of updates and photos so we always know what Murph has been up to. We are so happy to have Jenn and her family to look after Murphy and would highly recommend them to anyone ❤️❤️
Jenn and her team took great care of our pups while we went away for the long weekend! Will definitely be a returning customer!
Sparky's Pet Palace was a fantastic find for us and the new four legged member of our family. We feel safe and comfortable leaving our pooch with Jenn, and our dog is always excited to leap out of the car and go inside! The team there is flexible with pick up and drop off times which we greatly appreciate, accommodating of changes in plans and very responsive. We love the way they help our dog get introduced and make new friends and clearly have a great time! I highly recommend Sparky's Pet Palace as a daycare for your four legged family members, and wouldn't want to go anywhere else - I can't imagine a better experience for us and our dog!
I cannot recommend Jenn enough – my dog, Finn, is a high energy Golden Retriever who always comes home from Jenn’s happy, exhausted, and exercised. Jenn has been there for us in extremely short notice on more than one occasion (even within a few hours!) and always sends thorough updates and pictures when I am away. I know Finn is in the best of hands with her and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else to give the same quality of care as she does. Thank you so much, Jenn!!!!
Sparkys Pet Palace has been so amazing for me and my pup. I stumbled upon Jenn and her pet sitting services on Facebook right when I had rescued my dog. He was extremely timid and even scared of stairs and Jenn was able to work with him and make him comfortable on the stairs and helped build his confidence. He loves staying with her! He gets so excited every time I drop him off and it is the best feeling as a dog owner to know your dog is in the care of a fellow animal lover. Jenn is the best. She sends update photos frequently and is always so flexible. I work a job where my hours can change last minute and she has always been able to accommodate a late pick up or an early pick up depending on scheduling. I highly highly recommend her to anyone who has a dog!
Jen watched our 2 rescue dogs for a long weekend and they had a great time! She was very responsive and gave updates each day. When we picked up my girls it was clear they had fun and were very comfortable with Jen. Definitely recommend her for pet sitting needs!
I could not think of a happier, more trustworthy spot to leave our fur child than with Jenn at Sparkys Pet Palace! Jenn is always reliable and responsive. I love that she is always in constant communication whenever our dog is staying with her. Sparkys is also more than just a boarding spot -- Jenn's house is full of love for animals, and I know that it feels like a second home to our dog. Jenn also frequently goes above and beyond. She takes our dog on hikes, has administered medicine when our dog was sick, and also dealt with an emergency vet issue one weekend when we were out of the country. Jenn is the best and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a special place to board their dog.
We have been using Dana and her walkers since we first moved to the Boston area in 2003. Dana and the walkers that work for her have always been so great with our dogs. We have had older dogs that required carrying up stairs and puppies that are full of energy and not matter what our dogs needed Heads and Tails Pet Service has always cared for our dogs like they were their own pets. Dana has provided overnights for our dogs in our home and in her home and either location we have returned to a happy, well cared for dog. She takes care of our home while we are gone and we find everything in its place when we return. Dana sends us updates while we are out of town and photos of our dog enjoying the beach (and her sofa) on his overnights visits to her home. We are very particular about the care our dog receives and his well being and safety and Dana (and the other walkers we have had) have always been very professional and followed our instructions. She leaves us notes on how Seamus did on his walks and shows up for walks on time even when there is snow out there. At this point, Dana is part of our family. I highly recommend Dana and the walkers that work with her.
Dana is awesome!!! We only stopped using her to walk out crazy Bailey Golden doodle because we moved. We wish we could take her with us. She walks dogs as if they were hers. She truly cares about their well-being. And when we saw her walking Bailey and her best bud Lucca, (both great friends) and too full of energy, it was clear she is a dog whisperer. You won't find a more trustworthy and dependable person!
Dana has been cat sitting for my pets for years, including my late Dharma who lived to 19 years old! She would help administer medications she required when I was traveling and every time I’d come back from a business trip she was well brushed and clearly very well cared for. Can’t wait to leverage her support when I get a dog !
Dana and her team of walkers are incredibly kind and reliable. I have relied on Dana for more than 10 years for dog walking and sitting. She has never once let me down. If my dogs were writing this review, they'd be telling you that Dana and her walkers are the kindest, best, most serious, and most reliable people in their lives -- except for my family (of course). I wish I could give Dana and Heads and Tails SIX stars!
We have been using Dana and her team for 9 years for our golden retriever. Dana is terrific. In 9 years they have never forgotten to come. They remind me about holidays and days where I might not need a dog walker. They have done many last minute evening walks when I couldn't get home from work. I have boarded the dog with Dana and she has a wonderful time running on the beach. Every time Dana comes to the house, our dog goes nuts with joy. This says a lot! I can't recommend them more highly than to say that my dog greets Dana and her team with the same level of excitement that she greets us!
Dana is incredible. We truly could not say enough good things about her! She is incredibly responsive, reliable, and most importantly, loves our fur baby the way that we do. Gus gets *so* excited when Dana comes for his walks. She always communicates with us after each visit to let us know how he did, if there are any behavioral issues that they are working on together, and if he did his business. We feel like Dana is part of our family, she is certainly part of the care team that we have for Gus and are so fortunate that we found her. I would highly recommend Dana and Heads & Tails Pet Service to anyone in need of a walker, boarding, or additional TLC for their pets.
Heads and Tails is simply the best. Dana and her crew have been walking our dog for nearly 8 years. They are totally reliable and, even more remarkably, flexible if I need a last minute change. They're an invaluable asset to our household. My only worry--that my dog will love them as much as us!
Heads and Tails above the rest! Dana and her team are the human side of this popular service. I always know that Dana considers both my dog and my feeling a about my dog. It never feels like I'm checking his walk off on my to do list. Dana supports me in caring for Bartley the best ways I can. I would ask no other; Dana is the best! Carol and Bartley
We’ve had Dana walking our German Shepherd, Siegfried, for the past 8 years. She and her team have been outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better walker and pal for our boy. Especially in his twilight years with degenerative myelopathy, Dana has been amazing at caring for Siegfried even with all of his extra walking apparati. Siegfried always looked forward to his daily walks, and we’re grateful to have had Dana give such loving care to Siegfried! Would 100% recommend.
Dana is amazing and caring and we use her services to take care of our cat, when we travel.
🦮♥️ We can't overstate how happy we are with Muddy Paws. We have been using them for several years now when we travel, and all of the petsitters/housesitters have been wonderful and so good with our boy Fleetwood. He was a pandemic rescue from the south who went through treatments for Heartworm when he first came to live with us, and the Muddy Paws staff treated him with kindness, understanding, and love, which helped ease our minds when we had to be away from him during that period. Most recently, we just got married last week, and knowing that Fleetwood was in good hands during our destination wedding and honeymoon was invaluable. Thank you Muddy Paws! We love you and so does Fleetwood!! xo, Nancy & Rich
I have been using muddy paws since my dog was a baby, (7 years). I like how she has the same walker for a long period of time, so they actually get to know her. We have seen our dog interact with couple of the walkers, (Jenn and Devin) and she adores them. That is always a relieve to see!! They communicate with you after every visit, and often include photos, which I love. Very, professional, reliable, trustworthy, and really seem to care for your dogs well being.
For 7 years, we have absolutely loved all of our walkers and the excellent, reliable service of Muddy Paws! The walkers truly love our dog and took great care of him - we all appreciate it so much that I never canceled even when I decided to become a stay at home mom. There is an online portal that makes it easy to request or cancel a particular day or service and communicate any health updates quickly. Whenever we board, our dog was is excited to arrive, and comes home tired and happy. I highly recommend Muddy Paws!!
Everyone at Muddy Paws is great! When we first signed our dog up, Jena had herself, Cat and Jovia meet her so everyone could get to know how she is and determine which dogs to match up with her for walking. Cat and Jovia are great with our dog and very patient with her high energy! They are very flexible with setting up walks based on our schedule and quick to reply if we have updates. We also love the notes and photos at the end of the walk to let us know how she was!
we've use Muddy Paws for 6 years, and have nothing but praise for them. the walkers and sitters clearly love animals, and give excellent care. they are energetic, enthusiastic about their jobs, and provide a very enjoyable experience for our animals. our dog is happy when walkers arrive, and especially enjoys walks with other dogs. we've used sitters in our home during vacations, and all has gone smoothly. the texts from Muddy Paws are informative and often have photos. when on vacation, we were able to easily communicate by text about issues that came up, and this gave us a lot of reassurance. overall, they are just the best !!!
I have used Muddy Paws for over 10 years, and absolutely love them. Professional and reliable for taking care of my 11 year old and now also my 2 year old. They love my dog like their own while boarding and they are both always so excited to see Jena and her team to pick them up for their walks. I would 100% recommend their services (and have many times over the years).
We've been using Muddy Paws for three years, and we've never had a walker that wasn't awesome! We trust Muddy Paws walkers to treat our dogs as if they were their own. One of our dogs had special needs, and Muddy Paws went above and beyond to work with us. I can't say enough good things about Muddy Paws!
My dog, Max, has been going for group dog walks twice a week with Carla. She is great and Max LOVES her (almost more than me I think!!). She is so careful to only pair him with dogs that will accept him and play nice. He is super friendly 7 month old and can sometimes be annoying to other older dogs. She knows how to read these dogs and will not chance any sort of questionable behavior from the dogs. I can totally trust her with Max and know he will be in good hands. Jena has also been very responsive to emails and messages and is very helpful in arranging Max's walks. I highly recommend them!!
Muddy paws is a great service. Their people know what they are doing. We rely on them a lot and they always come through. Management is responsive if there is ever an issue or if you have a last-minute request they will try to accommodate you. Reasonably priced and different levels of service at different prices allows you to customize. Scheduling visits is via online calendar which is easy to use.
Muddy Paws have been taking care of my dogs for 10 years. They treat my pups as if they are their own! My dogs love the socialization they get on their walks and even though I now work from home I still send them because their pack is their family! If you’re looking for pet care you couldn’t do any better that Muddy Paws.
Christine has been in the pet services business for many years. She is a great care-giver to her pets and pets needs. We've been bringing our dog there for many years and her and her staff are above the normal pet care services. Their type of service is that they watch over the dogs to be sure that they are all safe and cared for during their time there. What service would pick up your dog in the morning and drop off early afternoon and the pets can stay in or go outside during that time; it's better than your dog sitting home for hours and finding not so great surprises when you arrive home. I highly recommend her services for exceptional pet care.
I have sent my dog to Happy Tails for ten years and I cannot speak highly enough of Christine and her team. I had a dog with special needs. She was dog aggressive which made boarding and play group very difficult. When other businesses were not able to take my dog, Christine bent over backward to help us make boarding work. We will send all of our dogs to Happy Tails. Christine is a lover of all animals and it is such a relief to send your dog to a home away from home, where they are treated with love and care. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful person to care for our babies when we can’t bring them along. Thank you Christine and team.
I have been using Happy Tails for 16 years. Happy Tails has been with me from when I adopted my rescue yellow lab (who passed away) to my two new dogs. I was a single busy professional when I met Christine and now I am a wife/mom with two kids and still a busy professional. Christine and her team have been the reason why I am able to have such wonderful dogs as part of my family. I spoke with her before adopting my first dog and knew that I had the care I needed for when life got hectic. Happy Tails has always been there to take exceptional care of my dogs. I trust them fully and my dogs have always flourished in their care. One of my rescue dogs, Chase, came to me very nervous. Christine came to my house, built a relationship with Chase and made sure he got special treatment (he even got to sit in the front seat) when going to daycare. I often have to call them last minute because of changes to my schedule and they always accommodate. They also have in-home boarding with pick up and drop off from your home, which makes travel so much easier. I know my dogs are safe and happy with Happy Tails. I highly recommend Christine and her team of highly trained staff!
My Dog Serge is 16 years old. I had him for 2- 3 years before I found somewhere that would care for him as we do. Everywhere I went was awful. The smells, atmosphere and staff made me and Serge want to run. Then I found Christine and Happy Tails 👍😎💖. That was 12 years ago. I can’t describe the comfort, joy and satisfaction myself, Serge and others have experienced with the dedication and loving care our pets get there. I have referred Family friends and coworkers overwhelmingly and they have had the same experience. Earlier this year I came home to a house that had no heat or hot water, called Happy Tails and Christine came to the rescue. I was able to focus on a major heating problem in the comfort of knowing that Serge was warm and well cared for 😇. If not for Christine and her dedicated staff I could never leave Serge. Happy Tails, Christine and her staff are amazing. .
I couldn't imagine owning a dog without Happytails. For several years, they have provided playgroup, boarding, transportation, and advice for me, my old beagles, and now my puppy Irish Setter. They are quick to respond, flexible with scheduling, affordably priced, and most importantly everything they do makes me feel like my dogs are safe in their hands. My dogs are always happy when they get picked up and happy when they get dropped off, so I know the dogs enjoy Happytails too.
We've been sending our dog here for nearly 4 years now twice a week for play dates and on occasion for overnights. Christine and her crew are amazing with out little girl, she has separation anxiety and since becoming a regular with Happy Tails she has stopped being destructive and plays well with other dogs now. Highly recommend for any dog.
Our girls are regulars at Happy Tails. It's so nice to know that Christine and her staff take care of them as if they were their own when we are away. They always come home happy and tuckered out 😀 and we couldn't be more pleased with the service. …
Had our dog bordered here while away on a 6 day vacation. Returned home and our dog was dropped off. She had a very large wound that needed immediate medical attention. No note/message/communication from the business about our pet's health, behavior, or well being. Business claimed ignorance. Vet said wound was at least 2 days old. Business did pay for the vet bill. We are no longer doing business with Happy Tails.
We have trusted the owner with four of our dogs over 10 years. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy, transparent, and cares more than any other business about your babies. Always accommodating and responsive.
Christine and her staff our awesome have left our dogs overnight here and they go to daycare both my dogs Max and Minnie love it. Highly recommend great place.
Taking my fur baby Mocha to Red Dog in Saugus was one of the best decisions we have ever made as pet owners. She loves going there twice a week. All of the staff shows genuine love and affection for each pet they take care of. The place is phenomenal! They are just like having another family. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves their pets. I also do have Mocha groomed and boarded at this location when we need her to have overnight accommodations. We have a great peace of mind, knowing that she is in a place that she loves and that loves her back. To the staff thank you for all you do. You are appreciated very much.
We had a need that was pretty last minute, and not only were they able to accommodate us, their customer service was excellent. It was hard to leave him at a new place, and they were lovely and kind when I called to check on him. He hadn't done daycare there, but was able to have a screening during his stay, and had a BLAST with the other dogs after he qualified. Highly recommend.
We did our first evaluation for daycare at Red Dog and was super impressed with the level of in-depth analysis as well as their feedback. They clearly took the time to understand how our dog was reacting and the meaning behind the behavior. They also made every effort to put our dog at ease in a new environment and made suggestions for the next time. The facility itself is large and clean, but the real star is the people themselves who love animals, understand behavior, and are interested in offering warmth, love, and comfort to your pet while they are away. We'll certainly be back.
This was Teddy's first stay at Red Dog and he had a very positive experience. He came home much more relaxed than from other places where he has stayed. He was uninterested in eating in the beginning but Red Dog called us and we came up with a plan that would get him eating but also keep his sensitive stomach in mind. The facility is super clean and the staff is really friendly and obviously cares about the pets in their care. Teddy will definitely be visiting again! Thank you!
I have been searching for a new groomer for my dog for several months now. Finally found it in Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa Northshore! Online booking was easy. The groomer Elena did exactly as I asked. Poppy came back smelling fresh and well groomed. She is normally pretty afraid at groomers but she tolerated the experience well and appreciated the treats. Highly recommend! We will use them again.
We boarded our four month old mini Goldendoodle puppy for three nights here with a additional "puppy play" service added for each day. The check-in process was easy and very re assuring (our first time using a boarding service). Communication throughout the stay was great and a grooming service provided before our pups pick up. Would recommend this Red Dog location for it's puppy boarding services. Our girl was so sleepy when we brought her home, it was great to see that she was getting enough play and exercise whilst staying with Red Dog.
We have been looking for a good cat groomer for a while and are so glad we took our little girl to Red Dog. Pam was amazing, taking great care of our long hair cat. She looked and smelled amazing after her grooming. We will definitely be coming back!
We had high hopes for Red Dog. Props to the marketing team for sure however there was major disappointment upon actually using the service. The staff are not friendly and are very authoritarian. I found this odd. Multiple times I and my family have been subjected to this. Constant reminders about there rules and policies that have been gone over multiple times. Almost as if they are scolding us like a misbehaved dog. It is possible the staff work in an authoritarian environment causing transference on the customer (hopefully not on the dogs). My dog deficated outside prior to going in on one occasion. Even before the feces dropped the staff rudely informed us to pick it up (we would not leave feces in your driveway). Very odd. Their tone was agitated and borderline aggressive (male staff). I encourage the staff to attempt to be more friendly or at least apply basic customer service standards. I went in to Red Dog about 8 times in total and never left there feeling good about my interactions. I’m all about business growth and development so this is more to provide feedback than shame. Dogs are very important to families and I am assuming customers want to have confidence in the individuals caring for them. Thank you for your time.
We have had a great experience bringing our puppies here. Red Dog offers many different rooms to accommodate different types of dogs. You can schedule private playtime, there's daycare, plenty of walks. The staff is incredibly nice & you can see that they are animal lovers themselves. Red Dog is our go-to whenever we need to board the pups. I highly recommend them.
This was our chow chow's first time at red dog pet resort and spa. Everyone was helpful and friendly getting us started with the application and paperwork. Our dog is older (14 years). When we picked him up, he was energetic and wagging his tail. We will board him again in the near future. Our only criticism is we would have liked an occasional update, but I guess that no news is good news. Thanks to the entire staff at red dog.
There are no words to truly show how much Dogwood Cottage has meant to us and to our dog, Leo, since we started going in 2021. We had tried a different place before, which made Leo nervous around dogs and humans. When we went to Dogwood, Leo loved playing with the sweet group of dogs that come to daycare- he even has a few girlfriends there now! We love seeing the pictures/videos of him playing with his buddies on the Dogwood Cottage Instagram and seeing how happy he is every time he goes! The love, and attention, and patience that the staff shows Leo continues to be above and beyond— it has helped Leo come out of his shell with humans. I know that a large reason for this staff culture is due to the leadership of Dogwood’s manager, Carl James. Not only is Carl incredibly knowledgable about dogs and their behavior, but I have come to know Carl closely and feel that I can speak to his kindness, dedication, and selflessness. He deeply cares for the dogs that come to Dogwood as well as the satisfaction of their human owners. Carl is responsive, responsible, organized, thoughtful, and I will always completely trust Leo in him and his staff’s care. Carl consistently goes above and beyond. Any place that Carl is, is a place that is lucky to have him and a place that we trust 100%.
Our chocolate lab Samson has been attending Dogwood Cottage for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier. He loves going there and they seem to love having him as well. He’s obviously getting a workout as he falls asleep almost as soon as he gets home. Also he’s clean with no order after playing there all day. We cannot say the same about other places he has attended when he would come home smelling of urine. We are very pleased with our Dogwood Cottage experience and heartily recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience for their dog. Brian D.
I have been taking my 1.5 year old Golden Doodle to Dogwood for the past year and I cannot say enough great things about the staff and family there. They treat Bingley as though he is their dog and I know he is always safe. He is so well cared for and I never worry about him being there. The staff members give me a run down of his day when I pick him up, letting me know what he did and who he played with. Bingley has some separation anxiety issues, but with how wonderful everyone here is, he never has an issue going in to play. Everyone cares so deeply for the dogs and puts them first. Additionally, their prices are reasonable, the location is always clean, and they are always available to talk if needed.
Oscar has been going to Dogwood for more than 4 years and is just as excited to arrive now as then. Staff is very friendly and professional, and they communicate well. They have always been accommodating and even picked him up when I had to leave too early for work. I always feel confident he is in good hands. Thanks Dogwood!
This is our go-to for high quality boarding and care. We enjoy how they allow or encourage us to present all of the dogs words and training so they can function the best and keep the dog in a familiar rhythm. We needed extra care for our English bulldog so this is the place we finally found that would take all of the high maintenance requests and return the dog in the same condition we left her. Been using them since 2012 and will continue as a customer. Flexible staff and easy to pick up and drop off. No issues. Thnx
Dogwood Cottage in Melrose is simply the best doggy daycare/boarding in the area. We moved to North Reading in May but still make the drive twice a week as we are that sure nobody else will do nearly as good a job in taking care of our boy Tucker. He loves all of the staff, in particular "Aunty" who goes out of her way to ensure he is well loved and exhausted at the end of the day. Omar helped train our dog when he was a puppy and continues to help him as he gets older. Annie who handles more of the operations is extremely organized. She responds in minutes on any request. I am missing out many others who take care of him, some who I see all the time but have yet to ask for their names as our dog goes crazy out of pure excitement on arrival. Highly recommend anybody in the area to check them or Riverdog (Peabody) out.
Our Luna visited Dogwood about twice a week for a year before we moved. We loved the community there and the staff. Luna always came home exhausted, and she would try to pull us in the Dogwood direction when we’d leave home for a walk. Loved it!
Our dog Maisie has been going to Dogwood since she was 4 months old and now she is almost 6. When younger, Maisie(a rescue) had some behavioral issues due to pre-adoption trauma. The staff was always encouraging and helpful and worked with Maisie and me. Now that she is a settled adult dog we continue to bring Maisie to daycare to keep her stimulated and social.
“Things are not always what they seem.” I would like to review Dogwood Cottage based on this quote and tell you our (husband and wife) three-year adventure with our Portuguese Water Dog, Darwin at Dogwood Cottage. Darwin is a four-year-old PWD; full of love, fun, energy, and anxiety. We sent him to Dogwood for daycare twice a week for the last three years, ever since he was one. What’s not to like? The owners seemed nice, people who worked there appeared to be happy, and our dog comes home every time exhausted. However, we did notice there was a really high employee turnover rate the past couple of years. That should have been a larger "red flag" than we personally allowed it to be. Why do the employees keep leaving? How does this ultimately correlate with how our dogs are being treated and handled? Up until this past September we had a great relationship with the staff and owners of Dogwood Cottage. Upon every pick-up and drop-off we were told Darwin was great and everyone appeared to be happy to see him. At this past September's Melrose Victorian Fair we stopped by the Dogwood Cottage booth and were once again told how great Darwin has been. Literally, a few days later, we get a call from the owner, “Darwin has been super anxious, not listening to commands and policing other dogs for a while (as in several weeks), he needs to take a break from here.” No amount of shock can describe what we heard. Why weren’t we told this earlier? Why have we been misled and essentially lied to for the past several weeks when telling us that our dog has been great? Is this how all long time customers are treated? Per the owner, “We try to manage and train the dogs here, so we don’t tell the owners.” We highly disagree with this policy as it does not allow the owner the opportunity to address and fix the situation until it is too late. Until the dog has been kicked out of daycare. We have since learned on average, only 2 employees are assigned to the "large dog room" which is continuously booked to full capacity of 25 large dogs. That is one person to 12.5 large dogs. We have consulted with multiple professional dog trainers since this incident and they have all agreed that is too many dogs to one person. And sadly, the employees of Dogwood Cottage are not trained dog care professionals. It is no wonder some of them leave and why some issues do arise with dogs like ours. It makes their “don’t tell the parents their dog is misbehaving while we manage it until it’s too late” policy even worse. What about all the stellar five star reviews? Well, we sent Darwin there happily for three years and if this incident didn’t happen, we wouldn’t have known the truth. In hindsight, we realize now there was/is no way for a dog owner to truly know or see what is going on behind closed doors. Owners are only allowed in the front lobby. There is zero visibility into the back play yards and no cameras. Dogwood does post pictures online but like all pictures one can pick and choose what one wants to show. While our dog came home exhausted and physically in the same shape as we left him, we will never know if he was mentally treated well. My advice is buyers be aware. If your dog is perfectly behaved, low stress in large group situations without trained personnel and less than the adequate amount of people caring for the amount of dogs present, you can consider taking your dog there. But if you would like to have at least one trained person per 5-8 dogs, people knowing how to deal with dogs with high energy, anxiety, and stress in group play, not withholding information about your dog, you should not come here. We will never return and will warn all others. Lastly, as an update. We have gotten professional dog training for Darwin to address his anxiety. Within three sessions he is a completely different (in a good and improved way) dog. If we would have been told about his "policing" tendencies we could have nipped that in the bud quickly and not be in this current situation.
We’ve been sending our 2 year old to Dogwood since she was 16 weeks old, and we couldn’t be happier! The amount of care and love Winnie receives gives us such comfort and reassurance that she’s in the best hands while we’re at work. She starts wagging and wiggling with excitement as soon as we pull up to drop her off in the morning, and can’t wait to see her friends! And when we take her home, she’s usually so exhausted from playing all day that she’s perfectly content snuggling with her dad and I on the couch. And I love seeing the photos of our girl on Facebook and Instagram, she always looks so happy. We absolutely love Dogwood Cottage!
Jen walks my two dogs daily. She is great and my dogs love her! She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dogs as well.
Jen took care of our pup Jake for 11 1/2 years (from the first month we got him until he passed). Jen was reliable, conscientious and always helpful when needing dog advice. I recommend her to anyone looking for walks, pet sitting, etc., she’s fantastic!
Jen cared for my 11 year old hound mutt Biscuit during my 4 day vacation. She sent photos and texts. It allowed me to know the big guy was happy. She’ll be the first person I call before my next vacation!
Amazing experience working with Jen's services. I was in an emergency situation after breaking my leg, and no longer able to walk my little Lulu. I reached out to Jen's K-9 concierge, and was happily surprised at the genuine concern for my dog. She met with me that day to make sure my baby was cared for. Fast response and caring personality. If I ever need anyone to watch my pet again I will only use Jen's K-9 concierge!
Awesome dog walker/ sitter!!! My dog loves loves her!!! Have used on vacations as well very dependable and responsible great with animals does special care too!!
Thank you
