Shaina was a great sitter for my cat Lionel. She was great with communicating before the sit and was willing to come meet me in person before the sit. She also kept me updated throughout the sit, with photos and little notes. When I returned home the flat was tidy and Lionel seemed happy!

I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.

I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.

We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.

Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.

Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.

We've been asking Ritchie of PHG to look after our cat Hugo for several years now whenever we go away. He and his wife go well beyond just feeding him. They spend time, forward pics to us, water the plants and make sure the house is secure. Once when Hugo needed vet treatment he managed the situation incredibly well and kept us informed. Our guineas had a great time with Amber & Ritchie. They are very tentative and caring people. Communication is excellent, with daily updates and pictures to keep you assured. Guineas are looking forward to coming back next month! Would definitely recommend!
Ritchie and Amber have once again done a brilliant job looking after my two cats. We came home to two cats who were extremely relaxed. Much better than a cattery as they are relaxed in their own environment. Knowing how Ritchie and Amber work we could go on holiday without worrying if the cats were ok. I cannot recommend Amber and Ritchie highly enough. My cat is quite shy and they did their best to make sure they saw her every day (in spite of her hiding). The communication was excellent with a message (and photos where possible) sent every day. We came back to a happy and well looked after cat and we will use PHG Southampton again without hesitation.
We had such a great experience with Ritchie doing house visits to look after our cat, Mister, when we went away. Ritchie was friendly and professional from the moment we contacted him. He came around before our trip to ask the necessary questions and to meet our cat. While we were away we had daily updates and photos which were lovely to see. We have been away for a whole week ,Ritchie was looking after our 11 months old baby cat i cannot recommend him enough! everyday we have received update on our baby plus pictures so we could enjoy our holiday in full knowing our baby cat is safe and well. The service provided was extremely well not only looking after our cat but also cleaning after him, My baby did received proper care with lots of love! Ritchie is very nice and approaching person there was no issues with adding extra visit last minute , there was no issues with contacting always getting back quick. Ritchie has cared for my 2 cats for 3 years now. I would not hesitate to recommend Ritchie and PHG as the care and attention given to ensure my cats are happy and well cared for in my absence is first class and the service and reliability of PHG is excellent and both my cats clearly love him.
Ritchie has been looking after our cat for 4 years now and I couldn't have asked for a better service. He is very thorough in understanding what care your pet needs and what their personality is like, how they should be fed and how you would like them to be cared for. As a result we always come home to a very happy cat and I am only a little bit jealous that he seems more affectionate with Ritchie than he is with us usually 😂 Ritchie always keeps us updated with photos at every visit which is a really nice touch and something my kids look forward to when we are away.

Mark has been walking my dog Teddy (large toy poodle) for over 3 years now and he is absolutely brilliant. As a puppy Teddy was initially a little wary of going out with a new person but Mark was fantastic with him. In no time Teddy was bouncing out of the door and he still gets VERY excited when he hears Mark’s van. Mark takes care to consider which dogs’ personalities and energy levels would fit best on their walks and takes them to an amazing variety of places - lucky dogs! He takes such good care of them and always has water etc on hand. On top of that, Mark sends great photos - it’s a lovely bonus to be able to see Teddy having a great time. I feel so lucky that we found Mark and really can’t recommend him highly enough.
Mark has walked my dog for a few years now and you get so much more than just a “normal” walk. He takes Wilbur all over the place, not always just a boring stomp around a local park, and I know my beloved hound is really looked after. My dog is always brought back clean (and tired!), despite being an absolute bog hunter! Cannot recommend Mark enough, his enthusiasm for ensuring the dogs have an enjoyable time is fabulous.
Highly recommended for cat sitting. It was lovely to go away for a week & not worry about our 2 cats knowing that Mark was in twice a day to feed them & ensure they were safe & well. We were sent pictures & updates which was great. We have used pet sitters before & Mark is without doubt the best we have had & it's great to have a pet sitter we can trust for when we go away again.
Mark is our dog's favourite person. Since Murphy was 3 months, Mark has been helping us look after him when we're at work. When we go on holiday, Murphy looks forward to being at Mark's for a few days. He and Klaudia are lifesavers, and we would be lost without them. We cannot recommend them enough
I can thoroughly recommend Mark Bissett of Furry Tails Walks after he looked after my Cavapoo Tilly for 2 weeks whilst I was away. She enjoyed herself so much and is looking forward to her next Doggy Day Care. He cared for her within his family home and for those two weeks she became a contented member of his family. She met many other furry friends and had countless adventures during their daily walks. He sent me photos of her on a daily basis which greatly put my mind at ease whilst I was away. Thank you so much for looking after her and for taking away any concerns I had for her during this time. This was her first time away from me since I brought her home as a puppy at 8 weeks old. I'm surprised she was happy to see me, thankfully she has settled in back home and is dreaming of her next adventures with Mark.
My cockapoo has been with Mark since he was 6 months old and he absolutely adores his weekly walks with him. Can’t recommend Mark highly enough.
A second home to my dog Basil. They have done so much for him and me over the years. They helped change my dog from a scared rescue dog to the happy confident dog he is today.

Our dog got treated like a king ! Janet is so kind and caring. Our dog was in the best hands and loved how she sent photos with updates and kept a diary. Would not go anywhere else now we have found her. Recommend 100% to anyone .
Janet looked after our Labrador for 5 nights while we went in a cruise. She was wonderful, was very thorough in gaining information about our dog to make her stay as comfortable as possible. She included her in her daily life, lots of walks and out for coffee and lunch. This is clearly more than a business for Janet. We were very lucky to find her and wouldn’t hesitate to leave our dog with her again.
We left our two Old English Sheepdogs with Janet for the day and she was absolutely fantastic. We had never used her before and found her online a little while before holidaying in the area. She was very friendly and professional from the start and put our minds at ease about leaving them in her care. During our dogs stay she kept us updated with their day and activities via message and on the collection of our dogs we were provided with with a diary of their stay along with photos. I really can't recommend Janet enough. If we are ever holidaying in the area again I would not hesitate to use her again.
The care our dog gets here is fantastic. He is always happy to go in, as he is made so welcome. The diversity of walks and activities he gets truly stimulates the dog I would give more stars if I could! I read a previous review from someone who said the garden was full of dog mess???? In all the years we have used JB dog care I have never seen any. Don't let this one unjustified comment put you off, for your dog's sake.
Was really discusting, the amount of dog muck out back was terrible. Constantly trying not to stand in it and then stepping in it anyway, really discusting. Would not leave my baby here if last place on earth

We often receive photos from the walks, showing us how happy and relaxed Dottie is. Just love the one of Dottie jumping over the log with a big grin on her face! :-) The walks also seem to cover different terrain, which is nice. Best dog walker we've encountered so far. Carly really goes the extra mile, very knowledgeable about dogs and dog behaviour. Trust them with our dogs any day of the week. I recently went away and needed someone who could look after my menagerie of rabbits, cats, dogs and horses. K9 Treks came up trumps providing a friendly and knowledgable service. I cannot recommend Sue, her approach to looking after the animals and her wonderful premises, highly enough. She is a real find. She feeds them only the best (has recommended me to where she gets lovely hays) and her free-roaming garden and Omlet large runs give each pet more than ample space. She has a lovely kind nature about herself and is very easy to communicate with, even sending me update photos of my rabbits whilst I was holiday. Thank you Sue and see you in a few weeks!

Sue takes exceptional care of my bunny when we go away on holiday. Her facilities are fabulous. My bunny always has a sulk when he comes home because he's had such a good time running around in Sue's garden. Highly recommended!
Swifts is such a lovely place. We always know that our guinea pigs are well looked after, safe and loved and they always come home very happy. Sue is great - she always takes the time to chat with my children, show them her own guinea pigs which my children love and is happy to offer advice if needed. We would never leave our guinea's with anyone else!! 5 star rating is not high enough. Thanks Sue for taking such good care of our boys over the past three years.
What can I say….. I have been taking my boys to Sue for 10 years now. I really can’t express how wonderful she is. I leave my boys knowing that they are well cared for, cuddled, and loved just like Sue would her own. The best thing is Sue tells me they chat away to her, so they are clearly very comfortable, safe, and loving being on their holidays with her. I highly recommend Sue and wouldn’t consider sending my boys anywhere else xx
Swift Pet Boarding is FANTASTIC. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to give our 2 guineas a holiday whilst we were away and we instantly knew we'd found the best place possible. Sue is so warm and friendly and it's obvious that she loves looking after the animals. We go back to her every time, she's lovely, reasonably priced, and our boys get the best pampering ever. If you need somewhere to go, go to Sue!
We went to Spain for 5 days and at the last minute decided to organise a place for our one year old rabbit Luna to stay. She's been a free-range outdoor bunny for the last six months so we were concerned that we had to pick the right accommodation for her. We contacted Sue to arrange for a viewing prior to us leaving for our holiday and found Sue and her husband to be polite and extremely friendly. We saw the accommodation and a rabbit who was already there, as well as her own guinea pigs, all of which looked very healthy and happy. Sue explained about the daily routine and put our minds at ease regarding Luna's need to be'free-range' 24/7. Sue however wanted to make sure that Luna was tucked away safely at night and had the run of their garden during the day. Her garden had lots of plants and hideaways for Luna to investigate and she looked at home apparently from day 1. Sue sent us a photo of her during our time away to reassure us of this. A big thank you to Sue for looking after our little girl. We would thoroughly recommend this holiday home.
Buttercup and Daisy my rabbits have stayed at Swifts Pet Boarding twice now and both times they have been looked after brilliantly. The facilities are very clean and they get the chance to run around the lovely garden. Sue is lovely as well as letting me know how the girls are enjoying their holiday, she has keep up to date with Buttercups medication. I would highly recommend Swifts Pet Boarding.
I was able to leave my 1 year old rabbit Lola in Sue's expert care while I went away on holiday for 10 days in London. Knowing Lola would be stressed by a long journey I knew it would be better for her to stay in Southampton instead of coming along. It was hard to leave her but when I arrived at Swifts pet boarding I knew I had picked an excellent place. Luckily it is very close by where I live and it was very clean, homey and welcoming. The pets in Sue's care are in clean, spacious and cheerful accommodation both inside and outside and are very calm and content and of course cute! I almost felt like I wanted to stay for a holiday as well! It is lovely to know that if I need to go away again I can use Swifts pet boarding, especially as Lola requires eye drops 3x per day, Sue assured me nothing was too much trouble. When I came to collect her I could see her in her indoor hutch through the door and she was happily munching away on her abundant fresh hay without a care in the world, I'm sure she would have been happy to stay and we had a job to get her back into her travel case. Sue handled her gently and caringly so I can tell she is something of a rabbit whisperer. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone in need of small pet boarding Thank you Sue 😊 x
I cannot recommend Sue and Swifts Pet Boarding enough. The care given to our Budgie Zurg was amazing. It made us feel very secure in leaving in whilst we went on Holiday.

Kerry is brilliant with our dog. She walks him each week, and he comes back tired each time. He is a quirky character, and she understands him completely, which we really appreciate. Kerry recently chaperoned him to our wedding, which was amazing. She fitted in with our guests perfectly, taking him off discreetly when he needed anything, keeping him entertained and providing treats for the photos 😆 he loves her, and we would highly highly recommend Kerry to anyone.
Kerry is absolutely amazing. She looked after the groom's family's two miniature Schnauzer boys at our daughter's wedding on 20/10/21, and brought them to the reception venue to be part of a ring exchange (each one carrying a wedding ring on a collar). They clearly loved her and did what she told them (mostly!) even though they had only known her for a few hours at that point. I would thoroughly and highly recommend Kerry to anyone who wants their dogs loved and cared for as they would themselves.
Kerry is a wonderful dog walker. I actually believe she loves her dogs more than humans. My Labrador is extremely happy with Kerry & the happy houndz that she mixes with. Very well priced considering the love, attention & care they get whilst with Kerry. Very highly recommend.
Kerry had my 2 spaniels while I had a family day out at Peppa Pig World. I could tell within minutes my dogs would be in good hands and happy. Was sent a video with approx 6 dogs including mine having a great time on a run in the New Forest. All dogs still playing happily on collection. Would highly recommend and definitely book Kerry again.
My 3 dogs can be funny with other people but they loved Kerry, they had a week of walks with her during which she took them into the forest. I was sent doggie updates and pictures via whats app of them.having fun. Was so impressed I have rebooked Kerry when we have our summer holiday..

I have been using Emma for day care, boarding and grooming since September 2019. As my dog is my life (😁🙄), I am SUPER fussy about his care. Firstly, Emma is lovely (as are her husband and kids)- a perfectionist but relaxed with a sense of humour, her dog Maggie is adorable and soooo gentle. The dogs get a home from home experience, the daily walks are fab- she puts up photos after every walk and she goes on PROPER walks and finally, she is a fab groomer with parlour at home! Most importantly, my dog Dexter LOVES her (almost to the point that I get jealous) and I know he'd love to go to her every day.
Would not leave our boy with any other dog walkers. Maggie's mates are reliable, so trustworthy and he absolutely loves going! He loves Rachel and is always SO excited when he hears the van to collect him! So pleased we chose Maggie's mates!

Ashley at PlantsPaws helped me out in an emergency when I needed a dog sitting service at VERY short notice! I dropped 'Ben' off in the morning and picked him up late afternoon. In the morning he had either no interest in toys or was frightened by them if they squeaked/ made a noise (he was a stray unaccustomed to toys). When I arrived in the afternoon, he was racing around picking them all up, bringing them to me, excited beyond belief! It was such a joy to see! I have no doubt at all that Ben had had a great day with Ashley. He was fast asleep before we had even left the cul-de-sac! He spent two days in 'doggy day care' and it transformed him!
