Molly spent 3 days at Hydegate. It was her 1st time ever in kennels but also coincided with losing her life long companion Buster so I was a little apprehensive for her. I needed not have worried, Molly was treated so well & with such understanding of her situation. I cannot praise the staff at Hydegate too highly. They are wonderful.

Our dog Nellie went to Hydegate for one night whilst we were at our wedding. Donna was amazing and kindly came to pick Nellie up from our venue, which was 5 minutes away. This meant we were able to have her with us for part of our day and didn’t have to worry about getting her to Hydegate later in the afternoon. Nellie was very happy when we went to pick her up the next day, we could see she was well looked after. We will definitely use Hydegate again if we need somewhere for Nellie to stay. Thanks again for making our wedding day so special by coming to get Nellie from us!

We have used Hydegate for our three Cocker Spaniels on many occasions in the past and had a few niggles about feeding and bedding, strange smells etc. but nothing major. We recently left them at Hydegate for five days and when we collected them all of the dogs seemed a little nervous and unsettled. On the drive home I noticed a really very strong musty smell coming from the dogs. When I got them home I noticed that the new 3kg bag of mixer biscuits I had supplied was still over half full..... three dogs over five days and they only had about 1kg of biscuits in that time?? Worse to come.... for the next 2 or 3 days, all three of them had bad diarrhoea. I have since found a far better boarding kennel less than a mile from Hydegate and I will never take my dogs to Hydegate again. It really has gone downhill.

We liked the look and had our "Liggy" stay for two nights his first time away from us he is four and hates us leaving him. That said he lost his voice/bark due to barking/calling for us for 48 hours 😔 but he was well looked after healthy but we should have gotten him bathed/groomed, he stunk to hi heaven from the walking and and he does like to roll in other dogs scents left on the ground so we had to drive back to London with a stinking needy Liggy.

Cannot thank Hydegate enough, I had a terrible experience with generic kennels and my dog came back in a dyer state, having lost 2kg and riddled with fleas and ticks. Having looked around I then booked Hydegate despite it being over an hour from our address. The care my dogs receives whilst there is next to none, he comes home so happy. People complaining about the cost are obviously comparing their services to regular kennels, the service received here is miles apart, you pay for what you receive and this is worth every penny.

I am honestly at a loss to see why some dogs and owners seem to get preferential treatment, based on recent reviews. My dogs, Twix and Clover lost 1kg and half a kilo respectively while here for 5 days (they're small dogs), and we received NO contact from Hydegate while we were away, yet other owners have had plenty of updates and photos. My partner has already reviewed with more detail about their stay, but the 'authenticity' of the low scores is being called into question, and I had to say something. Booking Reference: HPRB009697 if you don't believe me. You can see from these photos that he is visibly smaller in the first two, while the ones of him resting on the sofa and from outside Starbucks are from the days just before we left. He was a healthy sturdy little guy when we left, and when we came back, he was much skinnier and it is not okay.

This is the second time I have left my two English Springer Spainels at Hydegate and would not leave them anywhere else. They have returned again happy healthy and clean . They are always happy to see us when we pick them up, but also turn around and go back to their careers while at Hydegate, which is a credit to your team . Thank you , you come highly recommended .

Our elderly dog Bobby stayed for a week and Lloyd, Hannah and all the staff were brilliant, Bobby needed lots of fuss and attention which we could see when we collected him that he got.. he’s quite fussy who he’s friends with but he went to all the staff for a fuss, I would definitely recommend Hydegate, they have restored our confidence that we can leave him there and take a holiday knowing he’s happy. Thanks a million Lloyd and the gang..

We can’t rate Hydegate highly enough. Dylan our golden retriever can sometimes be anxious. The team look after him incredibly well and he’s always happy after a stay with them. Definitely a five star pet resort.

Thank you to the team at Hydegate! Our dog is not naturally trusting of humans and this has been a challenge for us (and her) when she needs to go into kennels. We were greeted by Lloyd who explained how the Hydegate team now have behavioral expertise and work with the dogs to understand the best way to support a positive stay. She was housed in a kennel appropriate to her needs and went out for walks (we didn't think she would tolerate a stranger attaching a lead) which was great for her. The team even managed to give her coat a brush! The team were very understanding, attentive and responsive to our questions and concerns about leaving her. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

First time experience day boarding for our anxious rescue GSD. Nova doesn’t mix well with people until she gets to know them. So we were apprehensive and had no idea how this was going to work out. She took to Ollie straight away at the meet and greet a few weeks ago, and obviously remembered him hence trotting off with only a few glances back. Ollie also messaged to let us know she was ok. The kennels are spotless and facilities perfect. I wouldn’t place Nova anywhere else. Ollie, you have saved us from a lifetime without holidays. You are an absolute gem - thank you!

Absolutely fantastic. A few months ago, Perdi very kindly took care of my two cats for a few days when another cattery cancelled my booking without reason at short notice. I should have posted sooner - highly recommend.

We recently used Precious Paws for our cat and were really satisfied with the experience. Perdi is a true professional who adores cats. She gave us confidence that our cat would be well cared for. Upon picking our cat up, we could see that he was calm and happy, not at all stressed like he had been in the past in other catteries. The cabin was clean, spacious, with an outdoor secure space, and designed to make cats feel safe, comfortable and entertained. It even provided our cat a chance to make friends with one of the owner's cats, who is so sweet! Overall, we highly recommend Precious Paws to any cat owner looking for a reliable and caring place for their pet. Wonderful cat boarding experience for our two very pampered house cats. They stayed for a week in one of the lovely cat lodges and had a great time enjoying the Precious Paws facilities! Very organised and caring host who clearly adores animals so we knew our boys were in safe hands. Highly recommend.

So happy with the service at Precious Paws. Perdi is so caring and felt 100% confident leaving our Oriental boy with her. He has some health issues and Perdi is very experienced and knowledgeable with caring for his needs.We had regular updates and he settled so well. He had loads of cuddles and play. Very pleased to see how well and contented he was when we collected him.

I highly recommend Perdi! She came once a day to our house to look after two of our cats and a house rabbit, and she also kept our more troublesome cat in her cat pen for 10 days. She sent daily updates and photos (at our request) and we were able to enjoy our holiday knowing that our pets were all being well looked after. She was very professional, with paperwork and a first meet beforehand. Thanks so much for everything!

Perdi did an outstanding job looking after our two cats. She clearly likes cats and followed all our complicated instructions perfectly. She also stayed in touch very well so we felt reassured that everything was fine at home while we were away. We would recommend Perdi's excellent service and intend to ask her to look after our cats again. It's hard to imagine how anyone could do a better job of looking after your much loved pets.

Perdi visited our rescue cats once a day for 10 days during our recent holiday. It was such a relief to know they were receiving such kind, reliable care. We were delighted with the professionalism of Perdi's approach, she is very thorough and very practical! A very safe, reliable pet sitting service which we will be booking again and recommending to our friends! Perdi also kept my many plants alive and well and collected the post. Helen and the team are amazing! Our dog is loved and treated so well by the team. We trust them with the safety and enjoyment of our dog and he really doesn't want to come back home he enjoys it that much.

Amazing - my dog comes home tired but not too tired and his pulling on the lead has reduced so much as he is getting the socialisation he had been craving. Love the team, super friendly and Helen really knows her stuff which is a massive bonus. Such a fab location for the dogs to play in

My rescue dog was extremely nervous and Helen is brilliant with him and now our new rescue puppy, who is the opposite, super confident. She trains us owners as well as the dogs, and I think she is a dog whisperer !! We only needed a few lessons, but still go for socialisation and talk to Helen about any issues. Highly recommended

Helen is professional and really looks after the dogs. Buddy is always wagging his tail when we pull up in the morning.

Highly recommend Elm View Kennels. Staff are extremely friendly and professional and you can see the love they have for the pets in their care. Staff were happy to send me updates / photos of my two chihuahuas while we were away . Wilson and Bobby came home looking healthy and smelling lovely, with their bedding blankets and toys all washed. Such a relief to have finally found somewhere where I can say I am happy to leave my dogs and know they are being cared for and loved.

Visited here because my good friend was getting one of their rescued cats, gorgeous little kitty he is and he's settled into the family very well. Lovely facilities and you can see all the animals are well looked after. The 2 ladies there were so friendly and you can tell they care for the animals as if they were their own. If I was going to rescue an animal or board one of the ones I have already, it would definitely be here that I would choose. Highly recommend :)

When you arrive you have ro press a siren that sounds like a siren from WW2 it sets all the dogs of barking and so my first impression was not a good one. The kennels are very unwelcoming - concrete floor with bars at the front - a bit like a prison cell. The staff were all friendly but obviously very stretched. The worst thing was that when I collected my dog two of her meals out of six were returned to me. So instead of feeding her twice a day they clearly only had fed her once a day. They said they would look in to what happened but they never came back to me. My dog was heavily stressed when I collected her - panting and shaking and very exhausted - she slept for the entire next day. I would not recommend Elm View.

Dog & Cats stayed here for over a week while we were away for our wedding and small break. Excellently cared for and they helped us when our flights got cancelled and we were delayed returning! 100% would send animals there again!

Our 2 dogs go there for doggy day care and stop overs and could not recommend a better place for them.

Sent my cats there for second time, returned to find using carry bag for a bed, wasnt imformed that they leave them in the pen with them, throughout the visit, bag returned very dirty, Also cats on a special diet gave them enough food and extra pouches, to find they had fed them more than they should have had, instructions where given about how much food they should have .. dry food container has got wet food all dried onto and inside it, it also was very dirty on return when ensuring was this there own food or something else they could not tell me, so had to throw out 3/4 container of dry food not sure what it was so couldn't use it, not happy as the food is expensive will not be sending my cats there again. Very disappointing as the reviews say different.

Are dog stayed here for a week and she had a wonderful time, lots of photos of her sunbathing with a really lovely young lady (sorry don’t know her name). I would highly recommend this place and am extremely happy for her to stay again. Thank you for looking after angel so well

Debbie really takes care of our dog just like she is her own pet. We have a high energy working cocker who gets plenty of walks at daycare but just as important, she is allowed time to be calm and rest which she usually struggles with at other peoples houses. On the rare occasion I am home during collection, our dog is more than happy to leave so we are reassured she has a fantastic time with Debbie and the other dogs. Debbie is extremely accommodating and reliable when I need extra dates, which is so helpful when my work away is irregular.

We call Debbie our dog auntie - she has been looking after our dog Mabel since she was a puppy and I know Mabel’s in the safest hands with Debbie. Debbie loves and cares for her like she’s her own and Mabel adores spending time with Debbie and her dogs, whether it’s just for the day, overnight or a longer stay. Highly recommend!

Debbie keeps the welfare and happiness of your pets at the forefront of her service. I have two challenging beagles, and they love their walks with her each day. They come back home, settle and sleep til I get back in from work. A real lifesaver!! Thank you Debbie, Roxy and Remi love you!

Five stars aren't enough to rate the outstanding service Tracey's provided. She's looked after my bunny for 10 days and I was truly impressed with the way he's been cared for. Daily updates with videos and pictures, large indoor area with plenty of toys to keep him entertained, regular grooming, and some free roaming! Highly recommend!

Tracey has been great looking after my daughters two guinea pigs. They are looked after, kept warm in a spacious cage and given attention and fed with love and care. Thank you Tracey your amazing!

Tracey looked after our two guinea pigs over Christmas for just over 2 weeks whilst we went to India to get married. I was apprehensive at the prospect of pet boarding, but Tracey immediately put my mind at rest from my first initial enquiry, going on to call me to discuss their needs. Tracey has a fabulous set up for her guests with big cages and runs with lots of stimulation for the animals, and we loved meeting her own guinea pigs on drop off day. We were sent daily picture updates whilst we were away and we especially loved the Christmas photoshoot. Our guinea pigs were so well cared for we were actually worried they would not want to come home with us! We cannot thank Tracey enough for looking after our boys for us so we could have a stress free wedding, and would recommend Tiny Paws to anyone needing small pet boarding.We will definitely be booking in for more guinea pig holidays.

Tracey has been brilliant at looking after our guineapigs. Daily updates, lots of outdoor time and indoor space if raining. Really considerate of each guineapigs needs. We also have one piggy who needs daily meds, and although this takes extra time - Tracey has been more than happy to help. Would highly recommend, our go-to for boarding piggies.

Tracey. Looked after Our guinea pig this week (July2021) she is such a lovely lady, caring, knowledgeable and great with guinea pigs and rabbits. When we dropped our piggy off, she showed us all around and took the time to show my 8year old son other guinea pigs their cages, runs and even her own animals. Our piggy was well looked after and we were sent daily photos of what he was up to. They get plenty of time outdoors in the large runs and fed well. Happy piggy, happy owners.Will definitely use Tiny Paws again 😊

Super handy for Dursley Town and Cam Village. Saved our piggies bacon as we'd forgotten to book lodgings with a few weeks to go before our holiday. They have everything covered, food, treats, indoor cages and outdoor runs. I can safely say, our guineas were well looked after. Thanks Tiny Paws.

We regularly holiday our Guinea Pigs at Tiny Paws Holiday. They are friendly, very kind to our animals, give great daily photos and feed back how they are enjoying their stay. I highly recommended them.

Had an emergency situation and needed to get our dog into a kennels with no notice. Bassett Court had availability and were able to take our girl in for the night. We were worried about leaving her as she’s a rescue and didn’t cope well in the kennels at the rescue centre but when we came to collect her we were pleasantly surprised. She’s normally nervous of new people but was making sure to get a belly from them all. They were all so lovely and made her so comfortable, even walking her before we arrived the next day. We will definitely be booking with them in future 🐶

I have an elderly cat who is scared of being in catteries so decided to try Sophie a few years back. She is amazing, very kind and thorough and most importantly my grumpy old cat is happy. Her medical knowledge is a bonus. I can go away and feel relaxed in the knowledge he is in safe hands.

My wife and I are happy to leave our animals in Sophie's care and can go away relaxed in the knowledge that they are in safe hands. We even receive updates from our pets whilst we are away. A home from home service, highly recommended.

I have used We Love Pets (Stroud & Tetbury) for a long time. Our dog is really well cared for in a family environment which means when we leave her, we can relax knowing she is in great hands. I would highly recommend Sophie and her team.

Sophie always takes very good care of my horses. They love her looking after them. She is very kind and gentle with them. I can go away and know I have left them in safe hands.

We hear dogs barking all day, and sometimes all night, they are left outside alot, and dogs do not sound happy, im hoping it's just because they are in a strange place, but I'd rather leave my dogs with family, so not to distress them 🤷‍♀️ …

Just picked up my Miguel (who they affectionately call Miggles) and he had a great week with them again! He always comes back happy and healthy and the prices are so reasonable. All the staff we have encountered are lovely and I would highly recommend them. My family also take our cat there and she’s is equally happy. So glad we found this place 😊

We have just found this gem of a kennel and It is by far the best we have used in a very long time ( so much so we drive from Bristol to take our dog there). It has lovely clean runs and sleeping area, plenty of outdoor green space to run in and does not have large overcrowded compounds like many kennels. The staff are absolutely lovely and quite clearly care for the animals. My dog came home, happy, clean and healthy. I would definitely recommend

Always been a trusted company to use. The owners & staff are animal lovers & don't just treat the place like a 9 till 5 job. It's always clean & not smelling whenever I've been there. Reasonably priced too. I would recommend others to use these kennels.

Always so accommodating and friendly, the staff are great with my dog (Belgian Malinois x) who can be a handful. Highly recommend.

Have been using these kennels for nearly 10 years and have never had a problem, in fact my border collies drag me into there!! The youngest gets a bit nervous with the other dogs barking first off but settles down quickly. They are all friendly and helpful and the dogs return happy. Cannot fault them at all.

Recently left our 2 Shih-Tzus at Huntingford for 16 days. They trotted off quite happily into the kennel. We arrived to collect them to find them dry and clean, healthy and happy. All our bedding had been washed and dried as well. I think they had as good a holiday as we did. They appeared to have been very well looked after. We will definitely be using them again. Thank you.

We've used Huntingford kennels for several years and have always been happy with the way our dogs have been looked after. No hesitation in recommending them over others in the area.

Debbie & Dave regularly look after my cat and are fantastic with him! I get updates and pictures so I know he's okay when I'm away. Cat loves them and is such a relief to know he is happy and cared for! Highly recommend.

Debbie and Dave looked after our two lovely house bunnies whilst we were away for two weeks. We were very nervous about leaving them for so long but Debbie and Dave soon showed us that we had no need to worry through their regular photo and message updates that they sent us whilst we were away. The house was very clean on our return and the buns had clearly been well looked after. Lots of fresh veg, cuddles and attention given by both Debbie and Dave to both buns. They really cared for the buns as though they were their own so we could not recommend them enough.

So pleased to find Debbie and Dave to look after our cats when we were on holiday. They did a superb job with keeping the cats calm and happy, as well as taking care of the house. Blinds pulled at night, and flowers watered! Will definitely ask them again next time we are away, and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Debbie, Dave and family are absolutely lovely, they loved our cats and kept the company while we were away. Kept me updated on how they were and my three cats seemed far more relaxed when we got home than they have done before. Definitely recommend and really good value for money. Thank you D&D xx
