I have been using Heather Gohde with Central Oregon Pet Care Pros for over 15 years to help care for my pets. At one point we had 3 cats she would take care of when we traveled. Currently we have 1 cat & 2 dogs. Heather came to my house 1 to 2x a week to help me give IV fluids for my elderly cat with kidney failure. This treatment helped to give my cat 2+ extra years of a QUALITY life. At 16yrs when it was time for my cat to go over the 'Rainbow Bridge', Heather was there to hold my hand & loved on my cat in her final moments. I could not have done that without her. She currently walks my 2 dogs twice a week & helps care for my other elderly cat when we are out of town. All 3 of my pets love Heather & will compete for her attention every time she shows up at the door. Heather is a wonderful care giver for all types of animals. She is an established long term career ‘Pet Care Professional’ (not some ‘fly by’). She is trustworthy, reliable & takes her work very seriously. She is almost like a ‘Pet Whisperer’. I completely trust her with anything for my home and/or the well being of my pets. I feel very fortunate to have Heather in our lives.

We have been using Heather for several years and she is the BEST!!!! Our cat, Ben, loves her. She takes incredible care of him when we are gone, sends photos, and when we come back, he is relaxed and happy as can be. We wouldn't ever use anyone else!!!

Heather at Central Oregon Pet Care Pros looked after our elderly cat Baxter for many months. Without her skills and care, we would not have been able to travel. He had chronic kidney disease and needed daily subcutaneous fluids and a lot of pills, liquids and injections, as well as the usual feeding and scooping. When we read online that Heather did medications we immediately called to learn more, and she came over a few days later to meet Baxter and demonstrate her abilities. He was very relaxed with her. She asked lots of good questions about how to care for him and the house. She is very organized. We felt confident leaving him in her care. She sent us daily updates and photos, and we could tell he adored her. I think the feeling was mutual. I have recommended Heather to many friends and colleagues and she will now be helping us with our two new kittens.

I call Heather the cat whisperer. She's been taking care of my three cats since 2020. Super responsible, watches out for them with care, and I love the "proof of life" photos I get each day when she's taking care of them.

Happy Tales is the BEST place I have been to in Bend/Redmond! Though I live in Bend I commute to Happy Tales then back to bend because Jack loves it! The staff is so nice and they truly love what they do! All the dogs look happy and seem to all get along. They have a menu of all different activities for your pups if you want to add some extra play time. Sam, who runs the front office is amazing. She is always so accommodating and friendly. I wanna take Jack anywhere else. Thank you happy tales!!

Our pups always come home happy. No complaints. Easy to drop off and easy to pick up. Policies are clear. Prices are transparent.

This place is my go to for my high maintenance mini golden doodles. They do an amazing job grooming them and always give a cute bandana after each sprucing up. Highly recommend!

I love this staff. They are really good with our dog who is part of our family. Although, we hate to leave him there, we know he is well cared for. We also have had our dog bathed and he comes home looking so handsome (he has long Australian Shepard hair) . They do a beautiful job

Last year my dog seemed overly energetic after pick up for just a two day stay. The way he acts on days he misses a walk or outside time at home. Usually he’s exhausted after boarding (he’s only been to two places). We boarded him for just a couple days in preparing him for his first longer boarding where we planned to leave him for almost two weeks. Unfortunately he came down with kennel cough two days later right before our actual planned trip making it so we had to cancel our reservation and pay a house sitter per our vets recommendation. I left a voice mail and email of our experience and no one even called me back.

The location is very difficult to get to, as there is no formal left hand turn lane. Additionally, their pricing/ charging policies a bit ridiculous. Unless you pick up your pet before 10 am you get charge for a full other night. I dropped my pet off at 5:30 pm and picked them up at 3 pm the next day. They were there less than 24 hrs and I was charged essentially for 2 days. I didn’t know this until I was dropping of my pet, and I didn’t really have a choice at that point. I can understand a partial charge for the daycare service on the second day, but a whole night charge is a bit much. When I picked up my pet, it also hadn’t seemed like he had been out since that morning ( it was afternoon when I picked up). For the price, I am paying I would expect him to be let out a bit more than it seemed like he got let out. They did do a nice job on his nail trim, but between the pricing and my dog seeming like he hadn’t been let out super recently, overall was not super impressed.

Went to two other vets in the area. These people were honest and fair. They were also 600 dollars cheaper. Also the other vets said they would have to put my dog under, and surgery would be a must. .. Happy Tales did the procedure for less than 100 dollars and we were in and out in literally 15 minutes. My recommendation couldn't be higher. I see exactly what the other two vets did. .. they capitalized on a person and their love for their doggy. Vets these days know their owners will bend over backward and spend their last dollar on their animals. Happy Tales is a really special place. They have big hearts in the right direction. The proof is in their actions!!!

This review is very easy to write. I don’t know what I would’ve done this past Summer and Fall without her. I was in the process of relocating and would leave my four-legged feline kids and home in Michelle‘s care. Many times I was gone for 1 to 3 weeks. I can truly say this, I have 100% trust in Michelle to care for my pets and home. She follows directions and goes above and beyond in the care of your pets and home. A few times my flights coming back into Redmond were delayed. At the last minute I would ask Michelle to pick up my dog Lola at the Deschutes Pet Lodge before it closed so that Lola would be home by the time I arrived. She would also hang out with Lola so that she wouldn’t be home alone too long. Michelle is a professional, mature and trustworthy. I have referred her to my neighbors without hesitation and they also have shared with me that they like her and are confident that their pets and home are taken care of. She is responsive and asks questions so that all information is clear and understood. I’m bummed that she can’t petsit for me any longer ☹️. Our lil man has been watched over by The Playful Pet Sitter going over two years now. Michelle is always consistent with arrival and leave times. We get photos and updates during the visit. We wouldn’t trust our dog with just anyone. She’s caring, thorough and keeps our mind at ease while away.

Michelle is a very friendly and kind petsitter. She takes good care of Colby and Jack every time. She sends updates and makes sure she puts eyes on both of them as they tend to hide when we're away. They are much happier w her than any boarding facility.

I highly recommend The Playful Pet-Sitter. Michelle has been an absolute blessing! I don't know what I would do without her taking care of my two old labs when I need to go out of town. The dogs love her, which makes leaving them behind so much easier knowing that they will be well taken care of. Michelle is prompt, reliable and trustworthy. I would not leave my dogs or give access to my home to just anyone. She is great about sending videos to keep me updated on what they are up to. There are so many advantages to having her come to the house instead of taking the dogs to a kennel. There is so much less stress on the dogs not going to the kennel and makes my trips stress free. I don't have to worry about drop off or pick up hours, they are right here at home when I get back. I love that she offers extra perks as well. The cost of her service is very reasonable (even less than the kennel), and she is worth every penny!

Michelle is an amazing pet sitter that goes beyond basics- sending daily updates with photos and videos of her interactions with your pet. I have left several animals with sitters over many years and I have never had my cat (and home) so well cared for- Michelle has now taken care of my cat for multiple vacations some lasting over 2 weeks and I always return to a spotless home, living plants and a happy animal! I can't say enough about her professionalism and attention to detail.

We've been clients of Megan's for quite some time and she is wonderful. She is always communicating with us while we're gone which completely helps keep me at ease! Our most recent trip has been a lot of extending days due to a death in the family and she has been available at the drop of a hat. On top of that, one of my cats was diagnosed with diabetes the day before I had to leave town, and Megan came over and handled everything. Megan went above and beyond to ensure our fur babies were safe, fed, and gave them lots of love. Highly recommend!

Debby has been taking excellent care of our furry buddies for several years. She takes the time to get to know each of our pets treating them as if they were her own. Debby has been wonderful about meeting the unique needs of each pet and situation. She quickly returns calls to schedule pet sitting and is most willing to stay in touch, when needed, while we are away to let us know how things are going back home. Debby has been our pet sitter for the past 5 years and has taken care of our cats every time we are away from home. The first cat she cared for was a very long-haired Persian we adopted when the kitty was 14 years old. She was a fabulous kitty but had some medical problems and all the Persian-specific issues, including requirement for daily eye care and brushing. Our second kitty, also a Persian, adopted as an adolescent kitten, requires similar daily attention. Debby has taken great care of both cats. In addition, she provides updates (text messages or phone calls) on a regular basis when we are away for more than 1-2 days. We are extremely pleased with the service she provides and are very glad she is willing to travel from Albany to Corvallis to take care of our pets.

I have had Petwatchers watch my pets for many years now. I tend to be picky about their care and Petwatchers aways exceeds my expectations. I have many types of animals from dogs, cats, chicken, fish and even my three very spoiled horses. I come home from vacation and my home and pets act and look like I was never gone. First off I am thankful they were able to watch my dog but I am not happy about the end result. my dog arrived with no wounds or cuts of any kind when i dropped her , I picked up my dog an I noticed not 1 but 2 wounds on her lip on the top on both sides of her lip I contacted the owner of the boarding facility and she tried to reassure me that my dog could have bit her own lip and or rubbed her face up against a tree/fence but I am not assured or convinced . How am I supposed to feel comfortable and confident leaving someone to watch my dog an when I go to pick up my dog she has a injury no one can give a good and convincing explanation to how or what happened. Thank you for feeding and keeping my dog hydrated and letting her be outdoors. I will not be relying on this facility again in the future if I am needing boarding . Gone 2wks an these wounds are only a couple of days old at max due to healing of the wound and I was not informed on any issues or incidents. I requested a bath an my dog didn't even smell clean and her neck was still dirty it was like I paid $35 dollars for them to just wet her overall I am disappointed

The staff has been very friendly and are very accommodating. There are many additional add-ons available during your pets stay. Even though Loki hates to be away from us, the staff works very well with him.

Our dog doesn't seem to mind this place. Normally, she would try to escape when we've had other places watch her and she doesn't do that here. Highly recommend. Update: After years of coming here, I can say my dog definitely enjoys coming here. It's nice that I can trust that she is being well taken care of when we go out of town. Still highly recommend ❤️

We took our dog Kittle to a kennel for the first time..He was well cared for at this facility. He came home just as sweet and happy as when we left him..

We used the boarding services for the first time with our dog and we will be using Bnb pet retreat for future kenneling as well. They have great communication and very responsive we have to go out of town last minute they were very accommodating to our pets needs. I love that you can also add a frozen Kong toy w/ your pets stay ( our dog loves them ) I highly recommend.

I am so happy I found this place to board my reactive dog. It was a very difficult decision to board her at all but bnb Pet Retreat definitely treats my dog well and works around her needs. They give me updates on how she is doing so I know after each visit how she is adjusting to being away from home and around other dogs that usually scare her. They were so accommodating to our dog and cat, going as far as to let them stay in the same suite! Our pets are bonded and having them together means the world to us since they will be more comfortable. The staff are very friendly and really took the time to keep our dog engaged, I can't thank them enough for the work they do! This place was an absolute lifesaver! Relocating four hours away from home, they took our precious pup for three weeks while we made the tough transition. Our dog is a rescue german shepherd mix that was severely abused and can be hard to handle because of it but they absolutely doted on and loved on him. He came back to us happy as a clam and freshly bathed too! They offer incredibly flexible pickup and drop off times, plenty of perks for your pup, and were even willing to let us extend the stay by a day very last minute due to our situation. Not to mention the property being gorgeous too! I highly recommend anyone looking to board their dog use BnB Pet Retreat. It truly is a retreat for your pets and we will never go anywhere else ❤️

We're so glad we found BnB Pet Retreat! I'm always nervous to board our dog, who is nervous around strangers and new environments, but I felt he was in great hands with BnB. The kennel attendant took her time to introduce herself to our dog and help him get comfortable with the situation before taking him back. When we picked him up he seemed happier than when we've picked him up at other boarding facilities. Their rates and vaccine requirements seem totally reasonable and their pick up times are convenient. We'll definitely be bringing our pup back the next time we go out of town!

Our 1.5 yo husky (Frodo) loves going there for daycare and occasional boarding. We like this place since they allow unlimited outside play times (weather permitting) for Frodo -- who has a lot of energy to burn --- while still keeping the playtime safe by not mixing dogs from different household. This last point was important for us. Plus Tanner and Michelle love Frodo :)

My sweet girl Jett loves going to Critter Nanny. I take her 5 days a week while I am at work. She is loved and gets good play time with other dogs.

If we mention the name of one of our puppy's friends at Critter Nanny, Jazzy will run to the door and want to go. She loves the place! It has been an awesome place for her to learn socialization skills. We call it puppy Disneyland. Nancy and Jim have a wealth of information when it comes to dogs. We trust them with our puppy and the choices they make regarding Jazz, like how they choose to mix our pup with other puppies/dogs. We highly recommend Critter Nanny for daycare or boarding!

Very thorough intake process that made me feel that I was leaving my dogs in the best care. Very reasonably priced compared to in-home care, and my dogs came home happy! Will be using their services again on my next vacation.

Jim and Nancy have been a life savor for taking care of our doodle! For many years, our dogs have stayed with Critter Nanny while we are out of town. Jim and Nancy do a great job and are very conscientious about all the details. Our pets are always well cared for and have a chance to play with compatible dogs, so it is fun for them. Our boxer, who has passed away, used to get excited when the suitcases came out because she knew she was going Critter Nanny and would get to play with new dogs.

Our family has called on Jim & Nancy many times a year for six years for care of two dogs and one kitty. We used Critter Nanny for many years and found them outstanding in every way. Our little dog, Daisy, spent many vacations there. As soon as we started up the driveway, Daisy would go 'nuts' wagging her tail and making a fool of herself. I have recently recommended a friend without any reservations of trusting Jim and Nancy. We ❤️ Critter Nanny! We ran into a situation where we couldn’t take our pups with us on vacation and forced with the decision to board them. From Facebook reviews, we decided to give Critter Nanny a chance and are extremely happy with our decision. I had this anxious feeling during our entire stay, never had boarded our dogs before and was SO excited to pick them up and expected them to share in this excitement, apparently I was the only one because they loved their stay SO much they didn’t want to come back to boring old home. They are currently passed out, so exhausted from their week of fun that they could care less that they are back with their actual family, probably dreaming of all the play they had, wishing they were back at Critter Nanny’s! This family owned business has my support, if ever we are in need again... We may just find that the next time we need a vacation we will be thinking of our next no doggies allowed destination just so they can their vacation too!

These owners have the biggest hearts. My special needs, senior dog is pampered! Jim & Nancy are meticulous in the care of the pets & management of their business. Absolutely recommend.

Been going here for years and my dog absolutely loves it. Extremely friendly staff, got a tour our first time checking in and showed where the pups are kept, their play area, and the daily schedule. 5 stars for sure, will continue to come until we move from the area!

By far our favorite kennel, my dogs are so excited to get there and they always seem to have a fun time. Staff are sweet and attentive to the animals. Lots of running space and they take lots of pictures and post daily. Fair price and easy to work with.

From the moment I walked in the door for a tour, I was greeted with smiles and treated with the respect and understanding. Greg showed us the facility, the numerous cameras they have to watch the dogs, and how the kennels are separate for size. I was very comfortable leaving my fur baby in their care. During her time at daycare, she became close to another dog who happened to be a foster dog through Mikey’s chance. It didn’t take long before we decided to add another fur baby to the family. They both go to daycare 2 days a week, have the BEST time, and are absolutely worn out! Putting our babies in daycare through Ruff inn it is definitely the best decision we made for them. Thank you Greg, Becky, and all the kennel staff for loving my girls and ensuring they have a good time.

We have a golden doodle - which speaks for itself when it comes to the skill and care needed to groom him! Shawn was always so good to him and did the best job. If we weren’t leaving the area, we would keep using them for sure!

The first visit is a meet and greet to make sure your Dog is a good fit. Buddy loves other dogs so he instantly loved this place. The owners and staff were very kind and answered all my questions. My first impressions were all good. Today Buddy had his first day at the Kennel. He seemed to love it and was one pooped pup when I picked him up.

Our rescue Yorkie has been turned away by four different groomers, all claiming his anxiety was too high to handle. But Greg is a true dog whisperer! Not only did our little love bug come out looking adorable, you could tell Greg groomed him with exceptional tenderness and care. He catered to our dog's special needs, and we've never seen him look better. Unlike other places where he left riddled with anxiety and trauma, after his appointment with Greg, he was genuinely happy. Thank you, Greg, for your incredible skill and compassion!

It is no different than dropping your dog off with a trusted relative and they have become like family to us. These guys are great and we are fortunate to have them in our lives.

Ruff INN IT is probably the coolest and chill boarding kennel ever. The dogs are treated like family, the facility is very well equipped and with the owners on site, the security of knowing any situation can be dealt with quickly, is a huge bonus. This place is amazing! It's a little drive out of Kennewick but so worth it. It's family owned and operated and the owner is very nice. He even sat in my dogs kennel with him for awhile at night because my pup is a little anxious, That's priceless! This is a social kennel, your dogs are out of the kennel all day playing with other dogs which they can run around in the shop/ garage area as pictured or go out the doggie door to the fenced backyard. He also runs his grooming shop out of the other side of the garage so the dogs get that human interaction all day while he is out there working. Also the prices were great, especially for the service you get. He was also flexible with me on pick up time since I was driving back from the west side and traffic can be unpredictable! I can't say enough good things about this kennel! I will be going back, maybe even for a daycare date, my pup liked this place so much I think he forget I even left him!

This place is amazing. Yes they are serious about the dogs in their care and that is what you want if you love your dog. Al and his staff are always pleasant even when they are busy. They take care of my dog and I don't worry about her at all. I have read these reviews regarding Al and his professionalism and really was put off by them. This man cares about animals and yes he can sometimes seem distracted because he is working with them, BUT he is still professional. I would rather hang with the dogs then some of the people writing these reviews too. I take Zeva there for training and even though she acts the fool sometimes Al stays patient and gives clear direction. I drop her off to play and she comes home happy and exhausted (the way I like her lol). Truly a great place.

Their training program has done wonders for my dog Ripley. They teach concepts in a variety of ways that helps everybody understand, and since the group sizes are kept small, you can easily get one-on-one time. At the end of each session, you're given a summary sheet that recaps the lesson and guides you through home training until the next week. If you ever have side questions or need a little extra help, they're always willing to help and typically have very quick response times through email. Ripley absolutely loves going to class and loses his mind whenever we load up the car. In the past year, Ripley has gone from zero obedience training and being fearful of everything to being an amazing off-leash hiker/adventurer that really only focuses on me. I couldn't have done that without Paws to Play's help!

If you have a small or elderly dog and you don’t work than this place might be good fit for you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it. The application process is lengthy. We waited 2 months to get our dog in for an evaluation and when we did were told he had too much energy and could only come from 9:30-11:20 for the first 10 times. Which was pointless as we wanted him to get quality play time and give us time to run errands and to get work done. Driving our dog in and picking him up in less then 2 hours ended up being more stress than helpful. Our dog has been going to daycare his whole life and never been an issue. I wish they would have told us from the beginning the daycare catered to smaller and older dogs, so we could have went elsewhere the last two months. I am giving two stars because Dallen did respond quickly when we had questions via email. And it does seem they are trying to create a calm environment for elderly and small dogs.

This is the Only place I leave my pup with ! The staff is so wonderful and treat her so well. It makes it easier when I can't take her with me ☺️

Al and his amazing staff have helped us since 2005 with boarding needs, training needs, including helping a severely damaged rescue dog over come his past fears, and become a great member of society as well as our family. Along with a safe and an amazing time for another rescue dog to run off extra energy with her new puppy Pals at doggie day care. the time and money we have invested with Al and his team and that they've invested in our animals has never been wasted and has made us all better for the effort. If any of my friends ever mention an issue with their dog I always tell them if anyone can help it's going to be Al at Paws to play!💜🐾💜

I highly recommend Paws to Play Daycare. My Shar Pei has been attending Paws to Play for almost six months on a regular basis. The staff care deeply for all of the dogs in their care and it is exhibited in my Shar Pei's excitement as we approach their facility. He cannot wait to visit with the staff and all of his canine friends. Last month I had to board him at the last minute for a week due to a family emergency, and he was taken such great care of so I highly recommend Paws to Play for boarding as well.

It has been an incredibly frustrating experience dealing Paws to Play. I enrolled my two terriers here a few weeks ago prior to listing my house for sale. I filled out the lengthy applications and got the medical records sent in to the business, and took my dogs in for an introductory interview, which seemed to go just fine. However, things took a turn for the worse shortly thereafter. The proprietor is extremely unprofessional and does not respect the customer's needs or schedule. He was difficult to work with, and was unwilling to offer even a basic level of customer service. He even had the nerve to call me and lecture me about how inappropriate it was that I had not been bringing my dogs in to play care more frequently (Sorry, I wasn't aware that I, the customer, was obliged to meet YOUR demands for my business, fella). And when I did bring my dogs a week after his rude and inappropriate phone call, he informed me that he had deleted our account because we had not been frequenting his business enough times...wow, thank you! Great service!!! My dogs have been enrolled in doggy daycare before and did just fine; he made it clear he did not want my business without undergoing a series of aggravating and frustrating interactions. I thought our initial "interview" where my dogs played there for 3 hours and did just fine was sufficient; but no, according to the owner my dogs need lengthy exposure with extreme frequency and regularity (but only in short doses according to this man's schedule) in order for you to patronize his business. Apparently customers exist in this man's universe to serve him and his business, not the other way around. Does it suit your schedule to drop off your dog? Better make sure it suits the owner's as well, otherwise you will get a lecture and pushback from this guy. Do you need to drop of your dog for 4 hours? Sorry, he thinks they should only be left for 2 hours because...reasons?...Do you only have the time or resources to drop your dog(s) off when it is convenient for you? Too bad! If it doesn't suit the owner of Paws to Play, you will not get anything other than crappy service and/or a lecture. I suppose he's better at interacting with animals than he is with people, because I found him to be very aggravating to deal with, and possessing of extremely deficient customer service skills. I hope no other unsuspecting person will have to waste their time and deal with this crummy business like I did. When taking your dogs to this place be prepared for a litany of rules (both written and unwritten--he seems to make rules up as he goes about how/when you can bring your dog in for play care, depending on many factors that are plucked out of thin air by him). You should commit to dropping your dogs off with precise regularity according to the owner's rules and parameters (beware, they seem to change according to his whims), not your needs, your convenience, or your schedule. You should expect a lecture if you deviate from his rules and parameters, or whatever may be going through his head at the moment. My entire experience dealing with this business has been negative from start to finish. I have not felt this exasperated dealing with a business in a long time. If you decide to take your dog to this place, be prepared for hassle, or just save yourself the time and hire a dog walker.

My dog loves it here! Staff is friendly and the cost is IMO very fair for what they do here for the dogs. My doggie knows exactly what "doggie daycare" means and jumps up and down to go. 100% trust and recommend this place for both daycare and boarding.

Al, the owner, clearly cares about the pups at his facility and it seems very well maintained. Our 5 month old puppy was happy when we picked her up after her first overnight boarding.

Our dog loves her time here and we feel good leaving our girl. We know we don’t have to worry!
