Kendra was a great cat sitter to Genepi and she truly is a cat whisperer. Genepi usually takes 4 days to make friends with a new person but she came out and made friends with Kendra Day 1! Kendra regularly sent wonderful videos and pics of Genepi purring happily. The apartment was neat when we returned and our garden was blossoming. Would absolutely ask Kendra to sit again and highly recommend her. Thanks Kendra!!
Cung was a wonderful cat sitter and housesitter and we would happily invite him back again. He was excellent with our cats and sent plenty of photos, and also left the house impeccably clean. We had to come back a day early and so we got to spend some time with him which we enjoyed as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!
. We were absolutely delighted with the care Summer provided for our cats. Without a doubt, she is the best cat sitter we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her attentiveness and genuine affection for our cats were evident in every interaction. Throughout our holidays, she kept us constantly updated with daily pictures and detailed updates, which gave us immense peace of mind. Additionally, she maintained our house in immaculate condition, keeping everything clean and tidy. This level of consideration and dedication went above and beyond our expectations, and we deeply appreciated her efforts. Summer’s exceptional service made our holiday experience truly worry-free and enjoyable.
Joi did a wonderful job caring for my two cats and two guinea pigs, as well as caring for my home! She is coming back in November for a long sit while I am out of the country and we all can’t wait. Joi had experience with rabbits and jumped right in with guinea pig care. She is so calm around them that they were sitting on her lap day one! She spent time preparing their vegetables and kept their enclosure and room clean, which requires daily effort. She even washed the floor mats in their room so it was fresh when I returned home. She went above and beyond sending me daily photos and videos so I could see that everyone was healthy and happy. It was apparent to me that she spent a lot of time with my pets, which is very important so they don’t become stressed and lonely when I am away. Joi also took excellent care of my two cats. They receive daily wet food with some medication and she ensured that they received it on time. My cats barely noticed when I returned because they got so much attention from Joi. She took excellent care of my front garden flowers and my tomato and herb hydroponic gardens. These take some daily attention and time in the summer, and I returned home to them looking great! Joi is a very caring, clean, and thoughtful sitter and I hope she comes back many more times!
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Great sitter would hire Stephen and Jenny in a heartbeat. Great with dogs cat and house
Ruoyi was the perfect sitter for our cat Toni! We would highly recommend her to any pet owner, and hope she can sit for us again in the future. Ruoyi was very thorough - she made sure there was full alignment on all the specifics of her pet duties, and she asked thoughtful questions regarding details we forgot to include in our guide. She always provided us timely updates at the agreed cadence, and gave us a ton of photos. From the photos, it's clear she got in a lot of play time with Toni, which we really appreciated! :) We were able to enjoy our entire vacation stress-free knowing Toni was in such good hands. Ruoyi left our apartment completely clean and offered to wash linens.
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $10/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Lea’s Pawsibilities is wonderful. Lea has been taking care of our dogs for 3 years now at our home for long weekly periods and most recently our elderly little one has been boarding at her place for a month. We couldn’t be happier and more comfortable leaving our pups with her. When we leave them at home, Lea visits them at our house twice and sometimes three times daily to play, walk, feed and just plain get loved. Lea makes sure they are well and that the house is in order too. Boarding with Lea is perfect! Lea manages to have all doggie clients getting along and being well exercised. She sends pictures daily and makes us feel like our dogs are truly a part of her family. I highly recommend Lea’s Pawsibilities for your family. We are at ease traveling when she’s in charge ♥️
If it were possible to give Lea 10 stars, I would. Over the years I have had many house and pet sitters for our dog and three cats - none have come close to comparing with the professionalism and attention to detail that Lea provides. We have a very complex house with many indoor plants, a hot tub requiring routine maintenance, and animals that go in and out a lot without access to pet doors. 2 of the 4 pets require daily medication and all get different food for various reasons. This is not an easy gig! Lea is unflappable and consistently sweet. She communicates regularly and sends lots of pictures of our critters to reassure that they are doing well. I highly recommend Lea for your house and pet-sitting needs!
Lea did a great job with our three dogs during the week while we were at work. She stopped by daily to let our dogs out mid day. She played with them and gave them extra special attention. She is very professional. She always sent a text when she arrived and included cute pictures of her visit. I definitely recommend her if you need someone to take care of your fur babies when you can’t be there.
I am new to town and was needing a dog sitter to watch my dog while I flew across the country for a trip. I am so grateful I found Lea through Google maps because she was a true god send. I appreciated that she wanted to know as many details about my dog as possible so that she knew the best way to care for her while she stayed at Lea's house. I cannot say enough positive things about her and her family. If you need a pet sitter or dog walker in Hood River, I definitely recommend her!
I boarded my dog, Zoey with Lea and her family for the first time and I cannot say more fantastic things about the experience. Lea was excellent with sharing clear instructions and updating me with photos of Zoey and status updates throughout her stay. Zoey loved the care and attention she received, and she was warmly welcomed into Lea’s home. I highly recommend using Lea’s services! She’s very kind and has warm energy. Zoey gives 5 stars too!
Lea went above and beyond for my dogs and us to make sure they were taken care of during our wedding week. Lea sent tons of photos, gave detailed updates, and loved our dogs like our own. She was so accommodating including bringing our dogs to our wedding day of and picking them up so they could be in the ceremony. I wish Lea lived closer so we could use her all the time! 10/10 recommend!
Bizzie, our mini Australian Shepherd, arrived at Lea’s all hyped up and barking over my leaving him. I wasn’t down the road an hour before Lea texted that River, her daschund, and Biz were getting on famously— such a thoughtful thing to do, as I was then able to relax and enjoy the drive. Each day I received pictures of the two of them together, or just Bizzie relaxing. When I picked him up, instead of the barkfest I expected, a very calm Biz met me at the door. The entire time I was there he was so quiet, and his serenity continued through the ride home. Once home he just seemed so relaxed, and this morning I swear he is still behaving like he’s been to the spa, all anxiety washed away!!! Big thanks to Lea and River for taming my tiger— obviously your hospitality is helping him cope with his nervous reaction to change!👍👍👍 in
We had a great experience with Lea who watched our dog a half day. She was very flexible, quick to answer any questions and provided us great updates throughout his stay. She was very sweet and welcoming, the dog loved her immediately, he was happy tail-wagging when we picked him up. We are happy to have found someone reliable and look forward to hiring her services in the future.
Lea was super responsive and professional. She remained flexible over the course of a whole week and helped to make our holiday vacation so much more worry-free. Even with bad weather and last minute changes, Lea kept us up to date. It was so good to know that our pets and our house were in good hands! We will be calling on Lea again.
Lea watched our two cats for the first time during a recent trip out of town. The cats are shy, but she found them in their hiding spot to take photos and send every day (which my wife REALLY appreciated). She is reliable. We will hire her again.
Jenn, took quality time to listen to our concerns and needs to bring our dog, Jazz, into a disciplined one year old. Jenn changed Jazz’ collar and within a few minutes Jazz was attentive and listening. We are so excited for this new training and a much easier pup to handle. Jenn is very observant and understanding of meeting Jazz’ needs and our needs. We have a much better understanding of Jazz and the necessary committed training Jazz (and us) needs. We are so excited for this new journey in our lives (and Jazz is too)! Thank you Jenn for working with us and Jazz!
Matt at NWB changed our lives through helping my dog (Cricket) and I understand each other. From the moment we met, we knew that things were going to change forever. Cricket was taught how to relax, think and control herself, while I was taught to understand, help, and protect Cricket. Every dog that becomes a part of my life will be taught how to live, in the same manner that Matt was able to teach myself and Cricket. I am forever grateful, proud and thankful that Matt became such an influential part of our life together.
So I decided to get a Doberman puppy. Knowing that Dobermans were a very loyal and protective dog, I wanted to make sure that I had her trained correctly. My big pet peeve if you will :-) is irresponsible pet owners. I hired NWB Dogs for a 5 week training and boarding class for my pup at 9 months old which is a bit early however, wow! She received e-collar training and obedience training like I would never guess. I truly love my dog and we are absolutely the best of friends. I am always getting compliments of how well behaved and amazing she is. The training she received was the building blocks that allowed me to simply continue in our home. Now, at 3 years old, she simply is the sweetest and most well behaved dog. I contribute everything to Matt and his staff's training. I constantly refer people to NWB Dogs. So worth the investment. Thanks Again to Matt and his staff!
Mat and Jen were able to take a young dog that was like a teenager on a pogo stick that wanted to jump on everyone he met with great excitement and turn him into a very well behaved dog, who is a real gem to have around. The purpose of all the training was to be able to get him trained as a service dog for a disabled veteran. We have now completed his service dog training, and he is doing great. NWB Dogs was the best and a great start for our dog and the training we received as a dog owner, was outstanding. We would recommend them to anyone that wants a well behaved dog for either just a family pet or working service dog. We have done some extended trips traveling in our RV, visiting a number of National Parks, and other events including a wedding. Everwhere we have been with our service dog, we have received many great compliments on how well behaved he is. Matt and Jen are the best.
We did private lessons with our GSD puppy from two months to six months. Matt and Jen are knowledgeable and supportive, with a breadth and depth of experience you can trust. They understand dog behaviors and development, and just as importantly they understand HUMAN behavior and how to train us to most effectively work with our dogs. Their online content and videos were super helpful resources as "read ahead" material before classes and as refreshers between sessions. Can't recommend NWB highly enough--we've raised puppies/dogs before and have participated in several training classes/lessons in other locations, and Matt is far and away the best we've seen. Thanks for helping set us up for success with Zuri!
Matt is an amazing trainer he gave us hope working with our German shepherd Maicoh when everyone else was scared to work with him he said he’s got potential! We did private lessons and gradually our pup became more confident and we gained confidence in him! The NWB pack was amazing to practice training around other similarly reactive dogs and learn that our dog wasn’t alone it felt nice to hear from other owners that everyone has struggles but we can all improve our relationships with our dogs and get to a point that it’s safe to be out in public and not so worried:)Thanks a bunch Matt!!
Matt has been a game changer for me and my reactive Doberman. I adopted Bruce a year ago and we did a session per month throughout the year and saw huge improvements. My living situation has since changed and I needed more consistent training for the both of us to be able to live in a busy city/smaller living space, so Bruce is now in the middle of his 4 week board and train with Matt and I already see even more improvements that I didn’t think were going to be possible!! Matt’s dedication to your dog and you as the handler is incredible. He’s passionate, knows his stuff, and you can absolutely trust that you’re getting your money’s worth so you and your dog can live a more comfortable, fun life together. I’m very grateful to have found NWB Dogs and I’m so excited to see all progress we’ve made with Bruce going forward! Thank you, Matt!!
I joined the NWB pack and make the drive from PDX each week. This is my first dog, and she’s reactive, so these are all new concepts for me! Jen met with me beforehand and her feedback TRANSFORMED how we leave the house and our walks begin. Game changer! The weekly group classes and monthly walk/hikes are great practice for the human and dog. I appreciate working with my dog alongside other dog owners that are also working through things like reactivity. Matt and Jen catch opportunities quickly and are always available for questions. I look forward to the upcoming seminars! Pic 1: park place Pic 2: stoop patience
I highly recommend NWB dogs. Matt’s years of experience are extremely valuable. He is amazing at explaining things in an easy to understand way. He truly cares about the dogs he works with, and he also teaches the owner what needs to happen to make progress with your dog.
Matt loves dogs and does an excellent job training people to treat them right😃. My lab/pit pup and I have had a great experience working on channeling his unlimited energy at NWB…among many other things. Thanks! …
The best experience!! Everything was top notch from drop off, daily updates, pictures, and pick up; Bridge of the Paws will forever be where I bring my fur babies. I drove from Hillsboro and the drive is most definitely worth it all. My girl was returned to me so healthy and happy. Thank you, Bridge of the Paws team for providing a most excellent holiday stay for my girl!!!
The whole experience was wonderful! Lawson was kind and gentle with our dogs. We have an unpredictable dog and Lawson allowed our dog to warm up to him at his own pace. When we picked them up it’s like they had been friends forever! Lawson sent pictures of our dogs throughout their stay. His prices are great and he’s easy to work with. The best dog care experience we have ever had!
We sent our rather rambunctious Young Bernadoodle to Lawson and he did great work for us. He taught her to look at us while going on walks and he helped immensely with her jumping up on people. What we gained was invaluable control of our dog as she is now 65 lbs at 7 months of age and quite strong. I appreciate his professionalism as a trainer and his flexibility with schedules. He is a kind hearted person to deal with. Thanks Lawson, Jeff and Colleen Dahl and Esther our doggie.
We've been with Lawson since the beginning and couldn't be bigger fans. Our dog Max LOVES Lawson and his crew, and Lawson is a complete gem and great to work with.
OMG!! The absolute best dog boarding company ever !!! I found this gem on a Google search and they are awesome! They treated my dog unbelievably! The owner Lawson and Megan treated my dog like he was Royaltyl! I got pictures every day and I felt that he was loved and cared for! If you have to board your fur family definitely take him to Bridge of the Paws!!! Unbelievable experience !!!
We took our little guys to visit Lawson while we spent the weekend at Carson Hot Springs. They got to hang out with other pups, and explore the miles of trails. Great experience! Highly recommend.
Our new favorite boarding facility. Management has an exceptional understanding of canine behavior. The owner is flexible, easy going and dedicated. BOP offers a very natural and tranquil atmosphere, where our dog can still be a dog.
Excellent and friendly services. I highly recommend bridge of the paws. throughout my pups stay I received photos everyday. He was well took in care of. I will be using them again in the future.
Bridge of the Paws was a fantastic experience. Curtis was professional, communicative, and most importantly great with my fur babies. He gave us peace of mind so we could focus on our wedding. The property was great and the pups were exercised. The dogs came back happy and healthy! I will ABSOLUTELY be using Bridge of the Paws again.
Amazing humans run this place. They’ll love your pets as much as you do. Seriously. So much heart and passion in these people. Extremely trustworthy and personable. Highly, highly recommend.
Dave loves dogs and is wonderful with Dawkins. Easy to work with and very accommodating even with medication. It’s a great spot to be able to leave our dog and know he’s in good hands.
My dog and I love the personalized care that each dog receives, that my dog gets exercise every day he is there, and that the owner, Dave, knows, cares, and loves each dog that comes to him. My dog isn’t too experienced with other dogs, but his experience at Happy Tails has made him better with other dogs. He is happy when he gets there, and happy when he comes home!
We recently made the switch from a larger boarding facility to Happy Tails up Snowden for our dogs. We are very happy with Dave and his operation. My high energy shepherds were given extra large kennels and a fenced in run to themselves. He gave them plenty of attention and exercised them as we would at home. On top of that all, it was extremely affordable! Will definitely continue going to Happy Tails, thanks Dave!
Dave was great to work with! He put us at ease, showing us where our pup would be staying and talking about all the fun she'd have. The care was great and the rates were reasonable. Highly recommend.
Great stay for our pup! Dave is friendly, responsive, and clearly a dog lover. Our dog is a nervous fellow around others, but Dave made sure he was comfortable and well cared for. So happy to have this facility in our neighborhood.
The groomer did far above and beyond the expectations with my matted puppy. I will be going back again.
They’re so nice, personal & accessories accommodating. I always feel like our dog is well taken care of
Good place for our dog
Great folks, good facilities!
Very nice staff
My wife and I recently had our first child. He arrived later than expected and with some complications. Cascade Pet Camp worked with us to get our high energy German-Wirehaired Pointer boarded when we needed it and extended his stay many times at our request even around busy Thanksgiving. I've been very pleased with their service and my pup seems to enjoy his stays as well. Highly recommend!
We used boarding and daycare services for our dog Fig during our wedding weekend in Hood River. Fig came home tired and happy! His report card indicated that they definitely learned about his temperament and paired him appropriately for play groups despite only knowing him a short time. The photos included with the report card were a happy bonus!!
We love Cascade Pet Camp and can't recommend them enough! Dana and Shannon are amazing as is Rowan. They have been incredible in helping us with our very rambunctious puppy and in training us to deal with him. We have used the training services and the boarding facility along with their doggy day-care. We had to board our puppy for over a week and we knew he was safe and happy with them. They even sent us little reports along with pictures and video so we could see for ourselves during his stay how happy he was. We were unable to do the puppy classes as they were when we were planning on being gone, but we did some individual classes with Dana and Shannon to get us through until we could do the Teen Wolf sessions. Honestly, the owners and their team are incredible. They clearly understand dogs and love them (even the annoying ones) and they are able to impart their knowledge to us through humor and kindness. Our dog would seriously run away with any of them, they are that good.
My two little chihuahuas love visiting Cascade Pet Camp. They get so excited when I pack their camp gear. They stay safe in their patio room and get to play outside in the big yard. They happily greet the staff as friends and seem to adore the new groomer. This year I also invested in training classes. My girls have transformed from reactive yappers to socialized happy campers. Dana and Shannen were instrumental in the transformation. Thank you both for creating a safe, fun place for me to take my little girls.
So glad we have this place in the Gorge! My doggos love going here for both training and boarding. They get super excited driving up!
Cascade Pet Camp is fantastic! They took great care of my foster dog and sent me daily updates while I was away. The staff are caring, communicative, and responsive.
Cascade Pet Camp's puppy kindergarten class exceeded all expectations! As a busy business owner, my time is valuable, and I appreciate the efficiency and professionalism they brought to every class. The trainers demonstrated a deep understanding of canine behavior, and their positive reinforcement techniques truly transformed my behavior oh and my dogs too! Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch dog interactions!
We love Cascade Pet Camp. It makes us so happy that our dog drags us into “camp” and is just as happy when he leaves! Everyone is so sweet with him, which makes it easier to leave our little family member for times when he can’t travel with us!
I have had my puppy stay here multiple times and she absolutely enjoys coming back every single time. She gets so excited to see the staff and looks so clean and smells so fresh every time she has been groomed. Thanks so much for taking care of my love bug! Absolutely love this place.
We were in the area for an event on the columbia river and our day did daycare for two days. He had an absolute blast. Came home tired which means he was extra happy! The staff were kind and friendly.
Kelsie (& Kind Animal Services) is incredible. She is as compassionate and caring as she is insightful and educated. After a 4 thumbs down experience with another trainer in Bingen, WA, we engaged Kind Animal Services to help build/rebuild our traumatized & timid rescue puppy's confidence, and teach us how to best blend him into our household and lives. She took time to know Wylie and his unique challenges while slowly gaining his trust, first. During these one-on-one sessions we learned a lot about Wylie and gained tools to support his growth. A month-long board and train at her private facility sealed the deal. Kelsie's business name says it all, but don't mistake "kind" for being a "softie". She has been thoughtful & savvy at every step. We highly recommend Kelsie and Kind Animal Services! - Heidi, Tim, Foster and Wylie 🐾
Kelsey is an amazing dog trainer, and was a god~send for us! We were looking for a trainer to help with very specific issues for our 2 farm dogs and feel so fortunate to have found Kelsey. Not only do we really resonate with her approach (really tuning in to the animals, and not using shock collars, etc), but in 1 session she made a ton of progress with us and our dogs on issues we have not been able to figure out for years! She was extremely generous with her time, essentially staying for "as long as it takes," and gave us wonderful follow-up instructions and reminders. And maybe the most important thing is the feeling I had after the session (and that's remained with me) is one of feeling hopeful and encouraged, that we're going to be able to do this with our dogs. We feel so very grateful to have found Kelsey and will continue training with her as needed.
Kelsie has been amazing for our dog and family! She listened to our concerns, came to our house and modeled ways to help our dog who has anxiety. She is very knowledgeable and in all things canine and shared tons of information and tips. She had us practice ways to help our dog that had our dog thinking she was playing games. We have faithfully played our games and incorporated the strategies and ways of doing things that Kelsie taught us and have seen vast improvement in our dog's behaviors. We would recommend anyone with questions or concerns about dogs to contact Kelsie. She truly cares about your dog and family.
I just started working with Kelsie for my Goldendoodle puppy and she’s been a great resource so far. She has given me confidence as a first time puppy owner. She is very responsive and provides me with clear and effective tips to get my puppy on the right track to being a well behaved dog.
Kelsey is fantastic to work with. She came to our house to help us with our reactive, anxious and very sensitive dog. Our dog immediately responded to her. Her presence is calm, confident and clear which is exactly what our dog needed. Most importantly, she shared her knowledge and insight(which was spot on) with us. We were able to see her model interactions with our dog but more importantly, she gave us tips and things to think about that would help all of us change our relationship with him. Since her visit, we have been working on the things she talked about. Our dog has learned SO much, is less reactive and much happier. Kelsey loves her work and it's evident that she is authentic and genuinely cares about her clients. She teaches you how to train your dog. I would highly recommend her services.
Leaving my dog Sadie in Kelsey and Ty's care was felt like a warm blanket around my shoulders. Sadie is extremely reactive, and despite medications and seeing another trainer, nothing seemed to be working with her reactivity. Kelsey was able to see Sadie's behavior at every angle and truly assess possible origins of Sadie's behavior and why things I have been trying weren't working. Before leaving Sadie in her care, I felt like I wasn't good dog mom. Kelsey helped me realize the mental state Sadie was in was the reason she wasn't receptive to training. The medications weren't doing anything because they were the wrong medications for Sadie. I learned that most vets prescribe Prozac for every dog with anxiety, depsite every dog having different needs. Kelsey just seemed to "get it" at a level that spoke to me and Sadie that no one had been able to do before. I've been in endless loops of failed attempts of training for the six months since bringing her home from the shelter. It was incredibly valuable that Sadie was able to stay in Kelsey's care in order to determine why these attempts were failing. I was given a list of protocols after picking Sadie up targeting Sadie's individual needs, and for the first time in six months I know without a doubt that this personalized approach is exactly what Sadie needs in order to heal from her past traumas and live a more happy, relaxed, and fulfilling life. I feel confident in a future where Sadie comes with me on backpacking trips or backcountry skiing without getting triggered, among a multitude of other activites I really want to experience with her where I didn't have confidence before. Not to mention, there were multiple boarding places I called to try to have Sadie cared for while I was on a 10 day vacation, but all of them rejected Sadie due to her reactivity. I was in a panic until the day I needed to leave, and Kelsey graciously offered her services just hours before I was set to leave town. Not only that, she also knew exactly what to do in order to care for Sadie as soon as she met her. I was so worried it was going to be another rejection of care, but instead I got more than I could have ever asked for. Thank you so much, Kelsey. You have a forever client for sure. 🙏🙏
K.A.S.- Kind animal services Rocks! Kelsie is an outstanding trainer! The time Anubis (6month old King Shepherd Puppy) and I spent at the school house was great. Kelsie spared no time educating me and Anubis about confidence building and positive reinforcement training. If I could have stayed the entire day to learn more from Kelsie I don’t think I’d be enough time to soak up how knowledgeable she is in her career. You can definitely tell she’s experienced and most of all passionate about her work with dogs or any animal for that matter. I would recommend K.A.S. Time and time again! I look forward to our next session at the school house!
Kelsie was so generous with her time and knowledge. I wrote to her in anticipation of getting my new rescue dog and she offered up so many helpful tips and resources! When I ran into her at our local dog store she took the time to meet my new pup, advise on, and fit him into, a harness for leash training. Again, she offered many tips and tricks - that are working! I highly recommend Kelsie - I know I will be reaching out to her for formal training.
Kelsie is a very animal trainer. She has a true gift for reading and understanding animal behavior (and their humans!) Kelsie formed a great relationship with our pack: a puppy a millennial and a senior!
I have taken my labs to train several times to Kind Animal Service. From basics to more advanced training, Kelsie brings a positive, informative, light hearted style. My dog learns, I learn, it's a win win.
